Not much to write except it's a tribute to this city of Dijon for maintaining this very convenient and efficient transportation alternative. It's pretty easy to use, just follow the instructions on the station's automation machine and all will be a smooth ride around this beautiful city.

The rooms are beautiful. Lots of classic old works, a few modern works, so not very impressive for me. Admission is free, so it's worth seeing the architecture. Beware, there's a trap on the first floor, you'll never get out without asking... we weren't the only ones. Fortunately, the lovely security staff are there to help.

The Dijon Museum of Fine Arts is well organised and an example of a must see museum outside of Paris, London, etc. There's everything from beautifully curated medieval art to sculpture to art and photography of the 1900s and 2000s. As a bonus, it's free to enter. Most definitely a not to be missed attraction in Dijon.

Just around the corner from our apartment was the gallery, it was fabulous, great works of art, by all the usual suspects, paintings and sculptures, a good 2 hours will suffice this wonderful painting by Tissot was the icing on the cake

What a remarkable collection of machines. I particularly liked the Abarth car collection. The motorcycles were numerous most makes I’d never heard of. All of them are for sale if you have a barn big enough to accommodate them. There are agricultural machines, fire fighting vehicles and most impressive the aircraft. Not restored but left to weather and decay. So many that you can view close up.

Well, they do offer free parking on-site, so that's a plus. The place seems a bit neglected and dirty, but don't let that stop you from visiting. As I'm a USAF retired fighter aircraft mechanic, I visited just to see the aircraft. Sadly, you're not allowed to actually walk around them. You're only allowed to walk in front of them on a gravel pathway. Still worth a visit. The motorcycle museum was over the top impressive. Clearly this is their main focus. There is nothing special about going inside other than to see the motorcycle collection. On our vacation, we used this stop as a time filler along the driving route to Paris. I regret our decision to visit this winery. While the cellars are interesting given their length, they are not worth seeing for the price. The group size was limited to 10 people, but it ended up being just the three of us. Our guide spoke excellent English and shared his deep local wine expertise throughout the tour. We tasted four red wines, including a Grand Cru valued at around USD 295 per bottle (based on my later research), and three white wines featuring two premium crus. We were very impressed with the wine selection and overall tasting experience. The next day, when we dined at a local Michelin-starred restaurant, the sommelier recommended a red from the same winery as the first red we tasted (Marsannay 2021, approximately USD 64 per bottle market value or $85 in a Lyon restaurant ) to pair with our meal, which included both fish and chicken. Pinot Noir from Burgundy is well-structured and far more sophisticated than many Napa counterparts, which I find somewhat overpriced. The flavor profiles vary greatly depending on the winery and vintage. The Chardonnay also stood out, especially when served at the proper temperature. We took a 7 glasses wine tour in the store which has a great ambiance. The only downside of the tour was the wine itself. Even the more expensive and possibly better wines were not to the liking of a group of 6 persons. The fact that it was unanimously off was odd. Especially considering the price.

I have been in Beaune a few times and Marche aux Vins is a fantastic place to purchase wine to be delivered to the US. Having used their expertise and purchasing some fantastic Puligny Montrachet white wines I love Bourgonone wines and this wine merchant has them all.

Been twice now and done the photo theme and pirate theme rooms. We will definitely be back for the 3rd room and are pleased to know there will be a 4th one coming soon. The rooms are very well thought out with almost every step being unique to each room. The staff will gently guide you if required in order to keep the pace of the game fun. They won't let you win for free though you still need to think! Once you've included the intro and the photo at the end it's a great way to spent 2 hours. The newest room is actually a 90 min time limit.

The tour of 90 minutes was a bit too long and dull for our taste. The castle and interior are beautiful though, and our kids enjoyed seeing all the different rooms. Still, a faster pace would have been better, for us.

A great visit if you're in the area. A beautiful lived in home. One of the few lived in chateaus which is well taken care of. Like similar castles in the UK, this is a home. There are pictures of family amongst the rooms.

Really impressive chateau that is in good condition. Beautiful garden with a nice view of the chateau. The guided tour is interesting, but be aware that they only do a French tour. For the non French speaking they have a booklet which you can follow while following the tour, which sometimes is a bit tedious. Used to be the center of Christendom. Mostly ruins, but still lots there to see. Amazing digital recreations of the Abbey. Never really understood that until the 1400's this was the largest cathedral in Christendom - much bigger than St. Peters of that day. A combination of religious politics and the reformation in France changed all that. Much of the Abbaye was destroyed during the reformation. The digital exhibit expertly guides you through the transformation of the Abbaye over time.

Cool Abbey with a nice history. Surprised at how influencial it was over the years. Audio tour worth getting though it's a little clunky.

This beautiful little town has a lot to offer if you're cruising through the back roads of Burgundy, and the Abbey is a spectacular way to spend the day if you enjoy history and ancient buildings. Besides the ruins and restorations, there are 3D films and models to dazzle you. Don't skimp on adding the Tour des Fromages toi your visit (spoiler alert - it's nothing to do with cheese). Don't be put off by the declaration of how many steps there are to climb, the view is worth it.

It is unfortunate that a majority of the place was dismantled and sold off. The place is in a constant state of renovation. There was a nice film explaining the history and the audio guide helped walk us through what was left on the place. Stepping outside and seeing where the footings are represented on the ground shows the shadow of the size of the Abby at one time. So little is left that I don’t know if the money to learn about it is worth it.

This church and Abbey is one of the best preserved in France. It is surrounded by it's own walls and gates which gives it an impression of a fotres. Already in the 6th century a church was built here in a place where there used to be a Roman castrum or army camp. The Abbey got a boost in 875 when the remains of Saint Philibert were put to rest in this church and gave it it's name. The church is sober on the interior but has some interesting mosaics behind the main altar. At the entrance is a small exhibition. The Abbey has a nice central courtyard

One of the most amazing churches I have been to, and I have been to hundreds or thousands of them. Beautifully restored, but not too much changed from its original state. Wonderful natural light. Not too crowded. Amazing architecture. Interesting, beautiful town that is not too touristy (at least in January, when I visited). Great, inexpensive lunch at the restaurant just outside (to the south of) the main entrance. If you like old buildings or Romanesque architecture, you should not miss Tournus.

Great and easy hiking trail to climb to the top; the scenery along the trail overlooks vineyards and little hamlets and is awesome for picture taking. The view from the top of the rock is breathtaking!

Popular hike it seems, quite a lot of people did the walk to the top which has a very nice view over the area. It took us +-30mins, for 1.7km. You can start at one of the (free) parkings, there should be enough place. We did the descent via Combe Robat til the town of Vergisson. Finally through the vineyards back to the parking. You can follow the yellow marks. This direction is very quiet and more fun. Our daughters of 8 and 11 joined us, and in total we walked 6km.

Rude unhelpful staff and arrogant life guards who spent their time messing about rather than doing their job. We were wearing swimming trunks but told these were prohibited as unhygienic, despite this being lake water complete with ducks and even a water rat!!! Ridiculous non-sensical rules and rigorously enforced and the only thing that the lifeguards actually engaged in. Avoid!

The area here is not quite famous for a refreshing dip on hot summer days, but you take what you get. As long as you don’t want to end up like a sardine in the surveilled area next to the parking space, you should not have a problem with wading through the mud when entering the lake. The water is not really cold, but let’s pretend you can refresh a little on warmer days. It is very nice for a walk in the woods on the other, less frequented side. SUP and pedal boat rental is not on the side of the parking space, you either have to swim or walk to the other side, also passing the aerial adventure park - which could also be a nice attraction for kids. You can also find a restaurant and an ice cream parlour. Besides the parking fee the access to the lake is free of charge, though you may find a separate lido having an entrance fee.

The official website says pool open in June from 11h to 18h. We get there at 17:30 for a quick swim but the pool was already closed.

Life changing experience

We arrived knowing the museum was closed but wanted to have a shop for a few bottles from the Beaujolais selection. The shop was extremely quiet but we found a very accommodating staff member who allowed us to taste 6 wines at the bar/restaurant and then choose our favourites to buy. This staff member (sorry we didn’t catch your name) gave us 5 star level service. He truly made our day. Thanks Mr. Gentleman Kindly (not his real name).

Really fun afternoon! They have put a lot of effort into creating a fun way to learn about wine with an amazing collection of artifacts and great attractions. Really made me appreciate the history of wine in the region and enough going on to keep the kids going until the all important wine tasting! (Which would not happen at a normal vineyard where they would last about 5 mins!)

But most importantly, I found the museum rather pricey: €20. There are 4 areas to view: The hamlet, the train station, the gardens and the wine cellar. When I came on October 10, the garden and wine cellar had just closed for the year, but I still had to pay full price. I'm sorry, but paying full price for half of the displays doesn't sit well with me.

You can tell he genuinely cares for the all the reptiles and takes great pride in sharing that with others. We had the chance to see so many incredible species up close, and he gave us a fascinating look into what it’s really like to work behind the scenes at a zoo. Thank you, Christophe, for making my birthday so memorable. Your enthusiasm made the visit come alive! Highly recommend this experience to anyone, whether you're an animal lover or just curious. Very! nice park but absolutely ridiculous how weird they are about the height in the attractions, when accompanied by an adult. I was not allowed to drive the horses attraction with my baby who really got to love this attraction in Parc le pal. We stood 15 minutes in the burning sun. When it was our turn he pointed at the sign saying my baby should be 90cm. At Parc le pal we did this attraction multiple times without an issue. This ruined the moment. All other safe attractions you can do as parent with your kid, is not allowed, really frustrating. The wild water attraction or the mono rail are allowed :/ Please check your height restrictions... Generally a beautiful park, very green and nicely designed when it comes down to aesthetics and topics. Parking was easy and well managed. Loads of staff trying to fill the parking lot in a way that makes sense, friendly and clear in their expressions. As with any park, there is a lot of walking involved and especially for small kids you'll need to be prepared to bring a pushchair. The toilets were absolutely yucky. I was only in the men's toilets, but it smells of wee everywhere, you're literally walking in it, the whole floor is covered in it. I know men can be yuk but some of those toilet I really wouldn't be surprised if they haven't been cleaned in a while or are leaking. I have never seen so much dodgy liquid on the floor. It really reeked. Some toilets have massive queues, not just the ladies', also the men's toilets. What surprised me though is, that our friends' daughters tried to get to the ladies and were trying to find a free cubical and three (!!!) ladies were so rude and pushed them out of the way. (which would be another downside, in some toilets you can literally see the cubical doors when you stand on the path). Shops/coffee and food stalls are understaffed. Particularly during high traffic periods. I.e. there was a bird show to begin in the arena and there was a massive (seriously, it was huge) queue trying to get in. There was a food/coffee stall with two windows, only one window was open. One lady was working and the first thing she said was, that she had no coffee as they ran out. When the show ended, the queue at that shop was huge, by then the second shopkeeper didn't make much of a difference. Same with the bbq restaurant we got there just before the lunch storm hit and we already had to wait about 20min to get our order and the queue started just behind the door (so really not long). By the time we finished and walked out, the queue was around the corner alongside the building, who knows how long they had to wait. One till. Having two people using the same cash machine is not really efficient. They'd need at least 3, then the queue started on the pick-up side, because the chicken needed longer cooking times. So all in all not very efficient. Two coffee machines (you get a coin at the till) but one machine had an error message in French (needed maintenance, but was still working), that many people couldn't read nor knew how to get rid of the error message. So people started queue on the other coffee machine. A few other food stalls were closed, it was a hot day, I think about 34°C. Hardly any shade anywhere. Oh one more thing... to get out of the park: ONE (!!!) turnstile. Why they didn't just open the bloody gate is beyond me. We had to QUEUE (!!!) to leave the park. Ridiculous.

Good place to spend the day with the family. Make sure to buy your ticket ahead of time or you may be waiting in line for a long time. They are not very organized. The place is in need of renovations, bathrooms are old, dirty.

Our 3rd visit to this park. We love it. Our kids love it. My folks love it. Always something new to see. Always clean. The birds and other animals seem happy and well cared for. Saw one of the shows this time - for the first time - and it was brilliant. We will be going again on our next trip to the area.

Wonderful experience! The bird park is quite good, clean, safe for kids! I recommend. We even bought annual card for 45 euros.

Pérouges is a beautifully preserved medieval village that feels like stepping into a fairytale. Cobbled streets, stone houses, ivy-covered facades — every corner is photogenic and full of charm. It’s not big, but that’s part of its beauty: you can wander slowly, take in the atmosphere, and imagine what life was like centuries ago. There are lovely artisan shops, small cafés, and a few restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties — especially the famous galette de Pérouges, which is absolutely worth tasting warm with a bit of sugar caramelized on top. It’s peaceful, authentic, and only a short drive from Lyon — perfect for a half-day or slow afternoon escape. Go early or late in the day if you want to avoid crowds and enjoy the serenity of the place. Highly recommended for anyone who loves history, quiet beauty, and timeless villages.

A lovely stone middle age town, nice for taking a walk but became a bit commercial.

It was quite an interesting tour of this great medieval city before Christmas time. The restaurants and cafes were all decorated for Christmas, and we tried mulled wine in one of the places. At this time of year the city is not so crowded with visitors.

Very interesting place, with a 3-4 restaurants which are full around lunch time, but you can have pancakes with ham or Nutella on the street. It's a beautiful Medieval town, especially during the Autumn because of the colours of the falling leaves.

I could not get enough of this beautiful historic place. I was. Awe around each corner I walked. Simply beautiful. Bring you best pair of waking shoes and a lot of space on your phone to take pictures.

This place is very beautiful and has not a lot visitors. One day trip would be far enough to enjoy entirely of this village. I stayed one night (Wed) and there is no restaurant opening for dinner.
