Great holiday activity if you are looking for something to do with the family. It caters to most ages with different courses. My daughters and I chose to do the zip line. Great fun, the staff were friendly and looked after us.

If you are looking to get your kids away from electronic devices and get active, this is the place to go have some fun. The duration of 2.5 hours is too short when there weren’t any staffs stationed at each stations to provide assistance when needed say latching onto the ropes etc. Time was wasted when children were trying to figure it out or someone else to get staffs to come on site. The absence of staffs at each stations to monitor if the children are accompanied by adults also poses a safety hazard. We have seen so many children who were under the specified age or height tackled courses clearly not suitable for them. Hence, I am only giving 3 stars.

This place is superb. Booked for zip line coasting. All adults and one kid. Fun ride. Will surely tell the owner or manager to organise some mechanical equipment to carry the pulley.

Good for kids, see the website for who can do what, lots of restrictions around age and weight. The trampoline area is a fun thing to do after the road course.

The staffs there are so kind and so good with kids. There were two girls that served us that I didn’t know their name, they were so kind and friendly and approachable. Also, Jo was the one helped our kid dressed, educated and encouraged him to do his level one trail. Shout out how great he is with interacting and leading little human.

Brought my 6 & 8 yo kids and they have really great fun. It has few level of challenges to accommodate all kids needs. Please book ahead before you come(ideally few weeks ahead) to avoid disappointment. Good to bring your own food and coffee as there isn't any in-house cafe.

One of the best baby-friendly farms/zoos we’ve visited! Lots of fun and educational activities, all well-organized and perfect for small kids to explore freely. Staff were super friendly and caring. My baby loved patting reptiles, chasing ducks, and feeding wallabies. The farm is a great size—not too big or crowded—with lots of Aussie animals. We’ll definitely be back.

We had the absolute best day and it was probably their busiest day of the year. We loved the relaxed feel, rather than it being commercialised. The encounters with the animals were the best we’ve ever had and most of it was part of the entry, except for $7.50 for the whole family to have 1:1 with a gorgeous koala. So much to do, it was hard to leave. 3 active boys very, very happy at the end of the day with warm food in their tummy’s and a hot coffee for mum in the sunshine while the kids played. 10/5

Our family loves this place! It’s just the right size and has the perfect variety of animals and activities to make the trip up from Sydney. It’s also not so big as to make us poor parents exhausted at the end. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We visited today on the last Friday of school holidays. It was sunny but cold and windy but we had a great time. We had 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and 9. Lots of hands on interactions with the animals and a chance to feed the farmyard animals. The train ride was fun but felt super rushed, blink and you missed the lions and other animals. It would have been much nicer to stop for even 30secs at the enclosure to take photos. Highly recommend buying camel cookies to feed the camels as part of the train ride. We spent 3 hours there and took our own snacks and drinks. A little pricey for entry and the size and we added food for animals and pony rides for girls so $160 outing for 3hrs but we did enjoy it.

Absolutely loved it here. I have a 5.5yr old and 2.5yr old and this was the perfect day out for them. There was a great mix of animals, rides, playground and fun. You can take your own food and plenty of shaded seating. Most things are included in the entry fees. A few additional costs if you like, but affordable. The train ride is great and included. All in all, it was better than expected and definitely will go back.

Such a great day out for adults and kids. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The cafe is well managed with delicious healthy food and treats with great coffee for us parents. Amazement Farm and Fun was a fantastic experience for the kids! There were so many interesting activities and live presentations, especially the reptile show, which the kids absolutely loved. They got to see and learn about different animals up close, and the staff were really friendly and engaging. The whole place was clean, well-organised, and perfect for families. A fun, educational, and memorable day out for children

Had a great visit to the Wyong Milk Factory! The atmosphere is charming and family-friendly, with a nice mix of local character and modern comfort. The staff were welcoming, and there’s a great variety of things to see and do, from the café to the cheese shop and even kayaking nearby. The food was tasty and fresh, though I did feel it was a little overpriced for the portion sizes. That said, it’s still a lovely spot for a day out and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.

AVOID THE KAYAK AND ROWBOATS AT ALL COST! Just to make this a breit as possible - Rowboats were filthy covered in mud and dirt since the flood that happened a month ago. Canoe fills with water. (Not specified on website) They also are the cheap ones you get from kmart that they charge almost the same price for) - the man who showed us the rowboat didn’t have the key, so he cut the rope that holds them together. This means they obviously have poor management and oversight of operational facilities within the coop. Not the guys fault obviously. Management’s fault. - we were told we had one hour when i booked three hours. The man said “oh,ok”. Again not his fault as management did not coordinate that to him properly. -the life vests were covered in dirt (since the flood , and have not been cleaned) As an influencer. I thought about making a video promoting this place, though now after my experience, i would like to publicly state to anyone and everyone. Its best to avoid this place until management has better oversight for all amenities here.

Salmon friend said it was dry and did not enjoy it. Buffalo wings were amazing I enjoyed them. Overall service and food turnaround time was within the 20 minutes promised. I will surely come back.

Located at 141 Alison Road, Wyong, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a really interesting place to come and is quite historic. Originally founded in 1907 by local farmers for milk and butter production. It was destroyed by fire 🔥 in 1921 and rebuilt as a milk bottling factory. It has since then it has expanded to support local industry. It now houses several local businesses like a cafe and tavern, an ice cream parlour, a boutique chocolate shop and more. We came as a group of elderly people and enjoyed the chocolate shop, but our main attraction was the tavern. It is so uniquely designed. It has about 3 levels which are accessible by stairs and a lift 🛗. There’s very good toilet 🚻 facilities, including accessible toilets. The menu offers a range of delicious options, everyone in my group was very happy with their meals. I originally wanted a pizza 🍕 but found they are only available on Fridays and weekends. So I decided to have the chicken schnitzel and hot chips. I found the schnitzel was way too thick, I prefer it thinner and the chicken tasted a little bland. However, as I said, everyone else in my group liked their meal. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Eager to help in anyway. Even though I didn’t really enjoy my meal, based on my group’s overall enjoyment of their meals, I would recommend visiting here and I would return and try another dish. I still give it a thumbs up! I love the design of the place, it creates a great atmosphere. 👍👍👍

What a great use of an old dairy farm and its buildings. The building and the old interiors take president over the restaurant and its a fun jumble of different structures and artwork. There is plenty of room for everyone. The food was very good and served quicky. The service was very good and tables were cleared quickly after use.

Service overall was exceptional. Such a great chef who went above and beyond to make my daughters 18th little celebration with her grandparents lovely. Thanks those little things from staff these days are rare. Appreciate all the other staff serving, especially the young kid and staff behind the bar also. Great food especially the pumpkin pasta with prawns!

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Petersons House restaurant! From start to finish, everything was flawless. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a beautiful meal. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply exceptional. The lamb rack was to die for—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavour. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and exceeded expectations. The whole dining experience was such a pleasure and the deconstructed lemon meringue was nothing short of sensational – the perfect finish to an amazing meal. Our grandchildren were also so well catered for and entertained with the activity book waiting for them at the table on arrival, which made the experience even more special. Petersons House is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning!

Our experience at Restaurant Cuvée was delightful! Warm welcoming hosts and wonderful setting under the trees looking across the vines. We were treated to a yummy lunch of zucchini flowers, fresh sourdough, lamb rack and rocket salad. Indulgent and great food! Complimented with great bubbles and followed up with a shared dessert of pavlova and exquisite Davidson plum ice cream! Kim was our waiter and she was so lovely. The perfect combination of friendly conversation and professional service. Kim enhanced our experience and was so nice to both of us and our dog, Betty. Highly recommend a long lunch here !!!

Had a large group for a birthday lunch, the venue were very attentive and accommodating with any requests. Had the group set menu choices, the food was very good and the service excellent, I had the beef which was delicious and perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed the sauce

Peterson House is an absolute dream to shoot! I love that I can get ceremony shots inside and then change up the lighting with the sandstone chapel outside all in one place. Came in October over the long weekend and it was an absolute treat! Emma was absolutely phenomenal and recommended great wines! I will absolutely be coming back here again! Emma is an absolute gem!! It's definitely desired to stop here. And take a look into the zoo is much more than I expected. Before before I think it's maybe just a small zoom with little animals. But in reality, they are quite a variety of animals, and also, you can see the white kangaroo. Here, you also can feed the kangaroo and other animals. It's quite interesting no matter how old you are.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place — I’d never heard of it before, but it turned out to be a beautiful spot! The animals look well cared for and generally very happy. I was amazed to see they even have lions and my favourite, the giraffes! A few animals did look a bit restless, but overall it’s a lovely park to visit with the family and definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

I was genuinely surprised to find such a sizeable wildlife park in Hunter Valley. At first, I thought it would just be a small place with a few animals, but it turned out to have some large predators as well as many unique Australian animals. You can also enjoy close encounters with kangaroos, which was a great experience. If you’re visiting Hunter Valley, I think spending half a day here is definitely worthwhile.

Amazing zoo, you are able to get up close to most of the animals and see some really unique animals and immersive experience. Most people dont know about this zoo but it's great. Only thing I would change would be the giraffe enclosure your down hill from them so unless they are right in front of you it make it hard to get as good a look as your able to with the other animals they have but you still get good views.

What a great zoo with an extensive variety of animals, not alot or of shade available during a hot or rainy day; prepare yourself on those days. Very busy on weekends and during school holidays, also attracts some derelict people which can add to your entertainment. Clean BBQ’s available for you to utilise at lunch time if you bring your own lunch.

Very family friendly! Kids can interact with kangaroo, goats, Bambi. Even some chicken cage free. Memorable experience, make sure to buy their merchandise when you came to support this lovely zoo 🍻

So worth the drive, the parking is fine even when busy, admission prices are great value for money, the venues staff can’t help you enough and have amazing customer service, but the range of beautiful animals and birds exotic animals is so wonderful, it’s such an amazing and beautiful place to visit you can see all of the displays so well, the coffee is nice too. Highly recommended a trip to the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, it’s and easy walk around, facilities are clean and Cessnock is only down the road if you want to stay overnight, for me was a 2 hour easy drive from Sydney’s Hills area

Blackbut Reserve is such an amazing place for nature and photography lovers. You can spot plenty of wildlife, from birds to wallabies, making photo hunting really exciting. The atmosphere is calm, green, and relaxing-perfect for a walk while carrying your camera. It's also a great place for families, a fun walk with friends, or just to enjoy a refreshing day outdoors. Truly a fun and memorable spot for everyone.

I visited this place on a lovely afternoon and had an amazing experience. The parking was convenient and well-organized. Birds and different animals were freely around the area, which made it both exciting and enjoyable to watch. The pleasant sound of birds created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. There were also great facilities for barbecue and seating, making it a perfect spot to spend time. The weather was wonderful, and everything together made it a truly memorable visit.

I spent a lovely morning at the Blackbutt Nature Reserve and it was great! We saw wallabies, one koala, emus and much more. The park in itself is really nice and very well organized. It’s perfect for families with kids ! We finished our morning having lunch at the park, as there are many pic nic tables. The reserve is free but the parking lot is around 6$ by hour. We had a coffee and a matcha at the cafe there and it was not really good … we also waited a lot.

Nice park with relaxing area with a playground near the cafe. Many beautiful birds and a paved pathway to see various animals. We saw birds, kangaroos, emus, reptiles and a koala. It was busy but festive on the weekend we went. Overall a great place to visit.

Great for a family day out or a place to hang with friends. There are plenty of spots to sit and have a picnic, including picnic tables. Kids area is great. Cafe has a good selection - all sorts of flavoured croissants, biscuits and cakes, as well as a full menu of breakfast and lunch food. I had a Nutella cookie and it was extremely good! The main nature walk includes koalas, wallabys, lizards, frogs, and birds of all sorts. The emu and kangaroo area is always good to walk around. There are plenty of walking tracks through the reserve. Entry is free, but parking is not. Not really any public transport options, and the road outside the reserve is pretty dangerous to try to cross and theres minimal space to walk on that side of the road. Very much not walkable to there if you live nearby.

I've always loved Blackbutt and spent many happy hours there as a child, with my children and now grand children. But honestly, charging for parking? Any wonder the car park was empty, a disgraceful grab for cash.

This is such a great gallery with really interesting and diverse spaces. We came at a great time with three beautiful exhibitions on. The volunteers were helpful, engaging and seemed very passionate and knowledgeable about the exhibits.

A wonderful experience visiting MR AG. Like that, so artistic! It's beautiful space which also highlights many local artists. Most of the exhibits are very unique in expression. There is a restaurant inside the Maitland Regional Art Gallery is called Séraphine Café.

Great exhibit at the moment “Twitcher”… just delightful. A lovely cafe, a lift to get upstairs, a spacious gallery and friendly staff. Gift shop has some beautiful things too. Free parking out back.

Fantastic sights and sounds for all exhibitions on a wide range of topics. I am a Twitcher! I could have sat all day watching the birds in flight loop! The tiny art was very clever and I don't think we found them all. Will be back.

The MRAG is as rich in its display as it is with warm accommodating staff. I was welcomed by Ms Belinda and gave me information about the current exhibits and how to go about my way around the galleries. The collections were all dazzling and amazing. I loved the Portraits the most as well as the miniature displays. I definitely would visit again every time I come to Maitland. Inspiring and entertaining!

Fantastic experience and was a great morning out. We just did the self guided tour and enjoyed the observations and stories about previous employees. Very interesting history and easy to navigate. Highly recommend if you're in the area! Only suggestion I have for visitors is probably leave the younger kids at home! My older two (7 & 5) enjoyed it but the 3 year old got bored quickly.

Fascinating and confronting - the prison is in an excellent state of preservation and the various eras are well represented in the surviving buildings. The stories from inmates and guards range from sad to spine chilling. An important relic of Australian history preserved for everyone to visit.

What a waste of money. We did the night tour. Young children crying and wanting to leave. People with torches in your face. Nothing too exciting or interesting. People filming for a paranormal experience with fake noises in the background.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Crimes of Passion’ night tour. Our knowledgable and charismatic guide, Robyn and her storytelling ability made it an immersive and memorable experience. We’d recommend this tour and a visit to Maitland Gaol, and will be sure to return :)

This was a mix between serious ghost hunt and theatrical horror house. The atmosphere at night is amazingly solemn and creepy. We were told some interesting history on the tour. I wish I had done a little more research into the history before the tour so that I could have put myself into the experience more.

I have quite a fascination with jails so this of course was a must visit. I did the self guided tour and throughly enjoyed walking around listening to the stories while checking the place out. Highly recommend visiting to anyone considering it.

The walking trail from **Merewether Beach** to **King Edward Park Lookout** is about 6 km return. I enjoyed a wonderful 1.5-hour walk on a delightful afternoon. The weather was perfect, the beach was absolutely stunning, and the sunset created a magical atmosphere. Along the way, I saw many people walking, exercising, and enjoying their time, which made the whole experience even more lively and enjoyable.

Beautiful, brisk wintery walk. Quite windy—consider yourself warned! Don’t wear your favorite hat unless you’re sure it’s going to stay put. A lovely walk with even lovelier views!

Nice short walk that gives you a great views of the ocean and city. You also get to know more about the history of ANZAC during WW1. I recommend going here to view the sunset.

Great coastal walk along some of Newcastle's best beaches like Bar Beach, Merewether Beach. You can walk all the way to Newcastle and spot a hang glider or 2.

Wonderful coastline walk with well documented military history along the way. Plenty of parking at either end. Dogs not permitted but they are permitted along the existing footpath which follows the walk on the street. Lots of stairs and hill down to Bar beach. Would recommend.

Absolutely wonderful tunnel tour for $15 per adult. The historical society volunteer guides are great and explaining everything and happy to answer any questions. They’ve done a wonderful job at keeping the fort open to the public and restoring a huge piece of local history. Amazing views from the top with plenty of ocean life to watch. Would highly recommend.

Loved the fort, it was awesome to see a real piece of history and how our land was protected. It's free to walk around but need to pay for the tunnels, which are pretty cool as well. If you go before 1:00pm make sure you stick around as there is the one o'clock gun that goes off.

Great place, very well taken cared and shown by a very enthusiastic staff of volunters, witnessed the 13:00p cannon shot followed by a guided visit to the tunnels, that's really the part you have to pay for,the fortress itself is free, but if you ask me it's absolutely worth every cent.

Admission is free, and the staff at the front gate are very friendly, welcoming us and providing some additional information. The panoramic view from the top is truly awesome, and I highly recommend a visit when you are in Newcastle.

Located at 49 Medowie Road, Williamtown, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. This is a great place to come to. The display of the fighter jets is quite vast and the history of Australian fighter jets is amazing. You also get to see the ammunition, the weapons, the engines and so much more. Very well set out and easy to follow. If you are lucky enough, while enjoying a wonderful drink or meal at the attached “My Three Beans” Cafe, you might get to see some jets taking off or landing. The noise is so loud but well worth seeing. It’s amazing to experience. Admission to the museum is $20 adults, $11 children (under 5 years free) and senior/pensioner $16. I thought this very reasonable considering everything you get to see. There are toilets available, including disabled) around the back of the building. There’s plenty of parking 🅿️ and it’s free 🆓. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend visiting here. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

Very informative displays and I even got to chat to a former F111 pilot!! … The best part is the second storey platform at the rear where you can see - up close - F35 fighter taking off and land. What a thrill … the little coffee shop next door is very reasonable priced and had a great variety on the menu

The staff at William Fighter World were incredibly friendly and helpful. The aircraft displays were impressive, especially the F-18 fighter jet. There’s also another exhibition hall accessible from the back door, with even more to explore. Definitely worth a visit.”

On Tuesday at around 12:55 pm, I bought tickets online a week in advance. Walk-ins were also fine. If I had to be honest, we thought the museum was small, but it was actually quite large! There were massive jets, and we even got to sit in one! The staff was lovely and very informative. We weren’t busy until about 1:30 pm. We really loved seeing the showcased jets. Then, we saw massive jets taking off! We didn’t know of any jets as it was our first time thinking it was just a museum, but not realising it was outside Williamtown RAAF. There weren’t just one, but two jets, and then a heap of different planes going! This experience was amazing, and I honestly fell in love with jets. Seeing and hearing how loud they were was crazy! They had bathrooms and an outer deck to see the jets taking off. Honestly, it was an 11/10 experience. I would definitely go again!

Highly recommend a trip to Fighter World. We had some time between our arriving flight and hotel check in and it was worth the stop! Whole family (kids 13, 11, 9 and 8) thoroughly enjoyed, as did the adults. - Can not thank Steve enough for taking us around and giving us a real understanding of what we were viewing, even explaining things to the kids and answering any questions. - This can be a self guided experience with plenty of information provided on signs, however I strongly encourage you to talk to the gentlemen on the floor. They have first hand experience and are so full of knowledge and passion. - We managed to time it well enough to see some jets taking off and landing which was a great (noisy) experience! - We stopped for lunch at the Cafe which has heaps of variety, was all reasonably priced and was tasty. Overall a great way to spend a few hours especially on a rainy day, we did not prebook and there was no wait.

What a great place to visit. You can get up close to the Jets you can even sit in one. Very knowledgeable volunteers to answer any questions you may have. Nice little gift shop and there's even a cafe that overlooks the airport. Highly recommend visiting.

Was so amazing. Being able to feed so many different animals, milk cows and see the bay goats. Loved the reptile show and being able to touch them. Staff are so friendly and informative about ask the animals.

Went by myself to kill some time, had a great time. I did the koala encounter and the keeper was so fun and knew so much about the koalas. Fed so many animals and had a great time, loved the baby goats and all the birds, there was a black cockatoo that was very entertaining to watch, everything was so clean and it was a great experience

Great family friendly place. Water park is great! Nice park to walk around in with a good variety of animals. They have a new red panda enclosure but unfortunately we couldn't spot any. Admission is quite pricey but so is pretty much everywhere else these days! More seating needed around the park..

Best wildlife nearby Sydney. Tallonga has much animals but cannot touch. Featherdale may can touch but costs lot.. However here can touch and feed Koala and Kangaroo. However you shall visit on open time 10AM animals will sleep on daytime.

Came here during our time away in Nelson's Bay. Good variety of animals and they looked well kept. Goats and Kangaroos were very friendly. Lenny the Long horn was a stand out, what an aweome dude!

Haven't been to Oakvale farm for years, and thought I'd take my grand daughter. She, and I both loved it. The animals are well looked after and very gentle.

Always skipped this place in the past, but this time around, we managed to stop by It has an amazing panoramic view of some areas of Port Stephens. Parking spots are very limited, though.

It's a very useful lookout point. Wonderful views we stayed for about 20mins parking is very limited.

A quick stop for an incredible view. There are two areas to enjoy the view. Free parking is available in a small parking area at the lookout.

The drive up is steep and winding, but the view from the top is absolutely worth it! You get a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the entire Port Stephens area, including the bay, Tomaree Head, and the surrounding landscape. It's the perfect first stop to get your bearings and appreciate the scale of this beautiful region. A must-do for the view alone!

The Marina is situated next to the Nelson Bay's City Centre. It has it's own public paid parking limited to 4 hrs at about $5 per hour. There are some cafes and restaurants around. It's a nice place to be.

Better than I was expecting. The crew were friendly and provided a history of the area and took extra time to take us to a known dolphin-spotting area. Would definitely recommend.

Taking a ferry cruise is a unique and enjoyable way to travel, especially if you're crossing between islands or coastal cities. From the moment you board, you’re welcomed by fresh sea air, wide open views, and the relaxing sound of the waves.

Have a chance to do ferry to see the whale from Nelson bay. Beautiful places. Lots of restaurant. Have car park space. Good souvenir shop.

The marina is the meeting place for a whale watching tour The tour on a big catamaran was excellent and we saw lots of whales and dolphins

If you are driving here for a cruise, you can park at Woolworths Nelson Bay's underground car park for free for 3 hours. Short walk to the Marina. Alternatively, parking here is $3.20 per hour on the meter machine for a maximum of 4 hours, during paid hours on weekdays. Credit card accepted for payment. Print ticket and place on your car dashboard.

Great location amazing views awesome food you just have to visit this place. Parking can be tough but if you come to this region and not visit here you have just missed the highlight We had scones & jam and coffee , but the menu is excellent

I brought along 34 elderly tourists from Qld for lunch and despite overwhelming the staff in the cafe, they handled it with amazing calm, great service and delicious food, everyone was delighted with their lunch. Could have easily polished off a couple more of the yummy citrus tarts. The museum is great as well, so much fascinating local history

We had breakfast at the cafe inside the original Light keeper's cottage. It was excellent with great water views. There is a Museum and a Golf Shop, entry by gold coin donation. Well worth a visit.

Only a gold coin donation the museum is situated in 3 rooms of the lighthouse cottage. One room consists of some local shipping history, one room is about the gun emplacements and ww2 history and the third about the marine rescue history. There is a gift shop and nearby tea rooms as well. Not very many car parks so you might have to be patient.

Gorgeous short 1km hike to the summit, beautiful 360 views at the top. Lots of stairs near the top, there are a few options to choose a paved path or traditional hiking path. These can be down in sneakers or even summer sandals if you didn’t pack hiking boots. It took me 12 minutes to get to the top, only stopping twice for a quick picture.

Definitely another must visit at Shoal Bay, in addition to the summit walk. It’s an easy flat walk with ocean breeze and access to the WWII torpedo emplacement & six inch gun emplacement, just be careful navigating through the rocks.

The Tomaree Coast track offers a great days hiking along this beautiful coastline! So much to see along the way.

Well it's quite a walk up the hill but I took some water and got up to the top and wow what have you if you make the trip up the mountain it is well worth it lot of spots it's quite easy the pathway is a lot better than what it used to be they spend a bit of time fixing up the path I do recommend going up the hill if you have the time the views are excellent from mwh

Book early for campsites, make sure that you can get to the campsite that you book and please remove your booking if you can't actually use it as many people love the sites and book but don't actually pitch up on the day.

Wonderful bush camping spots in Mungo Brush campground, near the water ( where you can see sunsets over the lake)and right next to a section of rainforest, home to 1000's of fruit bats. Incredible birdwatching as well, including the glorious black and gold regent bowerbird. Pit toilets, no showers, bring own water.

Clean camping area's, waste bins onsite, public toilets, boat ramp, great for swimming, close to beach, 4wd drive access to beach.

Australia has many beautiful natural places to enjoy. Mall lakes has the lakes and the ocean .

Great park - there are camping fees and park entry fees but it's well worth it for the facilities and how beautiful this park is. Bring you're own firewood if there isn't a ban and keep your eye out for dingoes and goannas.

Beautiful park, amazing nature, very diverse with the lakes, ocean beaches, rainforest, ... I absolutely loved the walking trails such as the Mungo Rainforest walk and the one to Dark Point, where you get really breathtaking views!

Visiting Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse was an unforgettable experience. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the ocean and rugged coastline. The walk up to the lighthouse is peaceful and not too difficult, and once you arrive, the scenery makes it all worth it. It’s also a great spot for whale watching during the season. The lighthouse itself has a lot of history and charm, and the whole area feels well preserved and cared for. A perfect place to enjoy nature, take photos, and relax. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Seal Rocks!

A lovely walk through the sandy bush to arrive at the complex of buildings that supported the lighthouse. A steep climb up the hill takes you to the diminutive light. Given the relative height of the hill, the light didn't need to be much higher. Beautifully maintained. Very scrubby, so some of the views are a little muted.

Very highly recommended. We enjoyed our visit to this lighthouse, despite inclement weather. The wind was strong, squalls were about, the waves roared on the beach & sprayed over rocks, and the original historic need for the lighthouse was very poignant. Access to the site along a single asphalt tree lined track is easy enough. A drop toilet is available along the way up. Site restoration effort is a remarkable achievement, and renting the keeper homes is very enticing. Views are superb and thoroughly worth the visit.

Great spot at Seal Rocks with an option to stay on the premises aswell. Had a great day weather wise and also saw a couple of Pods of dolphins down at Lighthouse Beach. Well worth a visit

Worth the walk. Parking was easy and a fair number of parks. Views were fantastic, along with the information boards.

Beautiful place! Little bit of a hike along a clearly marked trail, dunny halfway along, but gets quite steep at the end as you ascend the hill to reach the lighthouse. The view is spectacular, and a couple of the secluded beaches that you pass on the journey there are visible (and well worth the visit as well) highly recommended!

I had always drove past and seen the signs and thought I’ve gotta go in there so today my friend took me up to the National motorcycle museum. I thought it was only small. Wasn’t I wrong? I walked in the front door and I could see one of the sheds all the way up to the back. I thought I and then when I got up to the other end of the shed it won’t allow another big shed and then from there I went down two sheds either side. The place is enormous really really large so walking through I got to see a lot of motorbikes and there were some cars inside cars and it’s hard to explain but the place is terrific if you’re into motorbikes. I just wanted to have a look at well worth it. I’ve walked about an hour or an hour and a half to have a look through And then even then you’ll miss things but it’s really good. I looked after me really well and showed me around and pointed out some things so I hadn’t even noticed as I used to race motorbikes before dirt and road. It was quite interesting and certainly an eye-opener. There’s a lot of different brands so if you’re going past calling and spend some time having a look around from Michael

This Museum was recommended to me by a friend. At first, I nearly drove past as in a rush to get nowhere. I a glad I stopped. It's amazing how many different makes and models of bikes they have on display here. Oh, and some cars. Great to see Australia motorcycle history.

Absolutely enormous collection. Such a great place. What an odd location though. Anyone who loves motorcycles needs to come here. Put aside hours and bring your children!

WOW is how I describe this unique collection! I had to tear both myself and my husband away to leave ! A month would not be enough to see everything in this collection - the old cars were captivating and the array of every motorcycle you can think off! Would definitely recommend stopping to this wonderful collection !

As a self-proclaimed car enthusiast, I was sceptical about visiting - but I definitely did not regret my visit. The staff were lovely and welcoming, there's a lot of car stuff if you're interested in cars, antiques if you're interested in antiques - and the variety of motorcycles and scooters was so immense. Everything was kept in pristine condition. I highly reccomend.

Amazing collection and a trip down nostalgia. The collection is a testament to the resilience of the owners. Nabiac Community should promote this crowd puller. It helps all the businesses. I hope they can get more investments and improved infrastructure to make it a must visit site.

Well what an Aladdin’s cave of motorcycle & vehicles of yesteryear . Heritage to be enjoyed seeing unheard of names for me. Great sight for Nabiac of all places

We've been going to the area for 4 decades but only discovered this one recently, and its a great on a quiet day for the little ones! The whole pool is not massive so can get quote crowded and the occasional fishing gear washed up from the inlet. Overall worth a visit!

(4.5 stars) Although this one’s called a rockpool, the only rocks are in the breakwalls on either side, but it’s a beauty anyway. It’s really a netted off beach on the Tuncurry side of the channel where the Coolongolook River and Wallis Lake meets the sea. That location makes it a fun swim spot, with clean, clear water, teeming with fish of various sizes. A pod of dolphins came close by while we were there, chasing up a fishy breakfast, so it’s no wonder so many of those said fish chose to shelter on the other side of the net from their predators. The dolphins were a beautiful sight to behold on a bright, sunny Summer morning. There’s some powerful and interesting currents to be aware of. We were there on the incoming tide, so you could swim out to the net, then float back to shore on the strength of it. The opposite would be true on the outgoing tide, so you may welcome the safety net, to stop you heading out to sea! There’s great facilities: an accessible ramp into the water; outdoor showers; change rooms; a cafe, and plenty of free parking. We’d definitely return.

It's nice but the ratings are a bit high. It's a bog standard ocean pool. It does have good cafe nearby. Beware of jelly fish. Needs good weather to make it work.

I was there in the afternoon with an incoming tide thinking it'd be a nice quiet place for a safe swim out of the surf. And it would"ve been if l'd just swum up & back along the shoreline instead of attempting a perimeter swim. Found myself getting pulled out in the current along the most seaward breakwall. Managed to get to the breakwall rocks & pull myself back to shore. Lots of lacerations on my hands, very lucky not to have shredded feet & legs as well, better than being dragged out to sea! The place definitely needs MUCH BETTER SIGNAGE about the current. It is a lovely spot though & I'd definitely go again now that l'm aware of the current.

Mozzie alert ☹️ I should have read reviews before we trekked up to the lookout. We were attacked! So take repellent. The 360 degree view is a bit of a stretch as we could only see through the trees to Forster. Trees prevented any other views but we all felt it was worth it for that view 😁

Fairly easy walk up to the lookout where you need to climb up a few sets of stairs. You can see views to Main beach, unfortunately, the trees have grown and impeded the views south and west towards the lake. There were also swarms of mozzies++!! (April)

Lovely view. Very peaceful. To reach the lookout you will need to climb stairs for 15 to 20 mins depending on your fitness level. There are seats for rest along the way. I absolutely needed them. At the top is a lookout tower. It looks out over Forster on one side, and the ocean on the other.

Good lookout, the hike up is about 15min at a leisurely pace, mainly dirt stairs, there are benches to sit on along the way, mozzies are quite bad so bring your mozzie spray. The trees are getting tall but can still see enough.

Really nice hike, the sign says 15-20 minutes but it only took us about 10 to walk and we weren’t that fast. Lots of mosquitos so go in prepared, we didn’t know! Beautiful views and so worth it

Incredible views! Short walk up, all stairs but very worth it.

As a bigger girl, I was very glad that there were benches along the way to the lookout to have a rest. Once getting there the view was nice but could have been better. I just think if some of the trees were trimmed a down a little the view from the lookout would be even better as I thought they were in the way.

Beautiful place to observe the brush, lighting is really nice at dusk, and you get to see the flying foxes in flight depending on the time. This is a really highlight of the area, unmissable. Try to walk from the town, its a nice walk from town to the brush to the river

Up close with bats in the wild. Worth a visit. Walk is only short (we did it easily with a baby in a carrier(. Bats can be quite loud as you walk underneath them, but there are a lot of them!

Lovely day out a daughter inlaw, don't forget the insect repellent, Brush turkeys, Butterflies and Bats are always there to be seen. Last time I saw a Echinacea, so if your Quiet and Walk Slowly then you never Know what you will see and hear. ENJOY Stay to the paths and take all your Rubbish with you thanks😀

Great slice of old growth rainforest with flat tracks suitable to wheelchairs or mobile limited people. As soon as you get close the smells and sounds engulf you and you lose the sense of the city. Plenty of wildlife for kids to wow at and with toulets,benches and cook ateas would make a nice picnic.

Breathtaking nature reserve with huge fig trees and fauna and flora to observe. Very tranquil place to spend the day. Highly recommend this.

Great little free spot to park a caravan rv or tent . There are toilets, 2 free BBQ's with 2 power points on the front. Also a couple of drinking water taps. A local fella comes around to welcome you with a list of spots to visit and information. The is plenty of riverfront to drop a line or use the jetty or launch a boat. There are a few walking tracks into the bushland reserve to see the local flying fox colony. This is a sight to see! Maybe not hear lol twice daily.

Great place to spend a night or two. The site is not powered so make sure you bring your own. Good toilet facilities and ediquate lighting considering there is no fees. Excellent views when you wake up in the morning.

Wow, such a crazy drive, if you are coming from Port Macquarie way I would really recommend only going in a 4WD. However once you arrive it's fantastic, the toilets are clean and tidy, and plenty of parking. The hike down to the falls is long and going up is hard, would recommend for people with above average fitness levels. I am not very active and I struggled. The view from the bottom of the falls is beautiful and there are alternative viewing platforms to see the falls if you don't want to go all the way to the bottom.

Absolutely gorgeous place to spend a day or part there of. Take a picnic or cook a BBQ lunch whilst you explore the Ellenborough reserve. The hike to the bottom and back up can be done in 45mins but be warned, the well defined track is steep and can be a bit slippery in parts when leaves and debris collect on the track mesh. And the climb back up is not for the faint hearted or at least if you are short on time. Slow and steady, take your time and enjoy the scenery, of which there is much. Beautiful giant trees, fungi, lichen, tree ferns and a chorus of birds to keep you company, if you can hear them over the roar of the waterfall. There is also an easy walk around the rim of the gorge that provides a picture perfect view of the falls which is well worth doing and is not difficult if you're able bodied. Unfortunately neither track is suitable for wheelchair access.

Good tarred road with a few km of dirt then tar again to the top. General store a km or two before reaching the falls. Absolutely beautiful scenety with a very well laid out and comprehensive Information board. One walking trail of 500 mtrs second trail 700 mtrs and a stairway of 631 steps to reach the bottom. Easy access to lookout with clean toilet facilities. No ticket required for entry. A nature lovers paradise❣️

Beautiful place, check your maps before going as ours took us through the middle of national park. We didn't have a caravan, if you do this road is not suitable. Inhook and head on up. Definitely go and buy a cuppa from the kiosk. Great service, good coffee. Sit and take in nature's beauty, the waterfalls are a must see. Absolutely stunning.

Popped the dachshunds into back packs and headed down the steps. Fabulous views from all aspects but especially from the bottom. Well worth the dirt road access - so glad we didn’t bring the caravan with us!

The road to the falls is an adventure within itself! Dirty, steep and single laned in areas with cows roadside on our trip! The falls itself are gorgeous - 200mtrs long and 1 of the longest in the southern hemisphere! There was a kiosk, but it has since closed and is currently up for sale. The temperature is low in the area (about 18'c when we visited on a clear and sunny day). There are toilets, picnic tables and a fire place with supplied wood. We didn't do the 80mtr walk, but I'm sure it would have been nice.

Really good spot with amazing views. The road is terrible and you need to be very careful as it’s a bit dangerous and it’s a good hiking spot but it’s very tiring.

Spectacular views from the deck, and relaxing on the sofa inside :) good value menu and predictable basics. Lovely team and service, nothing a hassle. Had the Cam cheeseburger which I haven't eaten yet but the steak cut chunky chips are fresh and delicious, cooked in fresh oil - perfect!! Thank you for being open and covid safe.

First time in Harrington and this Cafe was recommended for a great breakfast. I wasn't disappointed. The staff were bery friendly and they were very flexible and accommodating as we arrived without a reservation for 8 people. Good variety of food and it was very tasty. Prices were more than reasonable. If your in Harrington. Do yourself a favour and have a great breakfast. Make sure you book if you have a big group.

Great cafe! Staff are efficient, friendly and working extra hard to make sure everyone has a great experience even with all the Covid restrictions. Food is delicious, with generous portions. Had Fathers Day breakfast this morning, and even with our family drama impacting on our booking, staff where patient, accommodating and really helpful. Recommend sitting on the terrace, the view is beautiful.

Beautiful rooftop location with easy parking on beach street. The view is great and the service quick and cheerful. My salt andvpepper squid lunch was cooked perfectly with a good amount of seasoning. Well priced for an excellent value

This is such a beautiful spot. My son loved feeding the fish and having a play in the water next to the cafe. My coffee was really nice and the service was wonderful. I wish we were locals so we could visit more often

What a brilliant cafe in a stunning location. I ‘d love a ceramic or china cup/mug to drink coffee from, but I understand the restraints of being next to the river and not a huge amount of space, but lifestyle considerations. Food selections are limited but enjoyed my toastie. Watching cormorants dive for fish and watching and or feeding the fish swimming around the boat shed is very special. The view over the river and mountains is spectacular.

What a lovely little find for a coffee shop not far from Laurieton on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Fantastic place for the family to visit. The steam train was a highlight for my youngest kid and the talking cockatoo was loves by all. The place is really cool, showing how the settlers lived and the various stores and buildings they had back then. Lots of animals to see and interact with.

This was a terribly underwhelming experience. It started with seniors don't get any discounts upon entry (so 4x adult admission was over $130) the information from the receptionist (with the blue hair); when upon paying she informed the group that there was only a train ride and we couldn't walk around the "town" .. this information was delivered rudely and abruptly and we would have left at that stage, had this site not come up in the top 10 things to do in Port Macquarie .... The train ride was 'fun' - there was a fallen log on the track that wasn't there the previous ride, so that was entertaining. You can walk around the town, which is set up well with stories and memorabilia. There are some animals (no bullocks were to be found anywhere) - piglets, emus, ostrich, horses, donkeys, lamas and an amazing parrot that knows a few words. There is a semi working saw mill. Maybe worth $25 admission, but no more than that. Very disappointed.

Our experience at Timbertown was honestly shocking. The whole park is in a terrible state — barely any maintenance has been done in years. Most of the buildings are closed off, and the few you can still enter are surrounded by overgrown bushes and weeds. The cinema was especially bad — rotting wood, broken glass, and overall unsafe conditions that make you question how it’s even open to the public. The livestock were also in very poor condition. The horses in particular looked mistreated and were kept in filthy, disgusting living spaces. It’s honestly heartbreaking to see animals living like that. The wattlers cottage is In a disgusting state with animal poop on both beds. The steam train felt unsafe too — the tracks look neglected and poorly maintained, making the ride feel more dangerous than fun. On top of that, the front desk service was unacceptable. We were charged for 3 adults instead of 2 adults and 1 child (our 15-year-old), even though the child price should have applied. When we politely asked for the $10 difference back, the lady at the counter was rude and dismissive, simply saying “oh well, too bad.” Overall, Timbertown feels completely abandoned — unsafe, unclean, and disheartening to visit. It’s a shame, because it used to be a great place. I wouldn’t recommend anyone visit until serious maintenance, safety, and animal welfare issues are addressed.

Not the best day, due to raining earlier that morning. Fantastic stuff, enjoyed the tractor and train ride. You can walk around the place and look at the houses and checkout some animals. Its got twin paddle boat rides, you can even pan for your own gold. Teens loved it, great fun for the family to step back in time...thanks timbertown team 🤩

This is a tragic display of when something that was interesting, educational and enjoyable is allowed to fall into disrepair and decay by new owners. The steam train ride was the highlight, and the driver knowledgeable and personable. The rest was a sad ghost of what would once have been a bustling popular and fun tourist destination.

Horrible. SAVE YOUR MONEY! We spent 130$ just for everything to be run down and blocked off. You can’t go into majority of the buildings. One house we could go into but it was a small hallway and we couldn’t go in the rooms. It would have been nice if we could go in becuase if it was clean it would have been lovely HOWEVER the bedroom had snake poo and the house was extremely dirty. Entire of timber town was not looked after and was un hygienic. Cleanest place was the toilets. Animals are extremely poorly looked after. Tiny spaces for them and small amounts of water. Horses have injured legs and shake every step. The person running the train said infront of children “keep your hands in if you don’t want to loose fingers”. The seat I sat on was not screwed on properly. We were all getting thrown around. It’s a real safety concern. The fudge also was not great. But if you like soft sweets that don’t taste too sugary it’s a good thing for you. They had nice old cars from I belive it was 1920 1930 and 1950. Not entirely sure with the dates but it was anround then. Overall it’s super run down and not worth it. We understand that it’s different than 40-50 years ago but it’s a huge disappointment for the amount of money it’s insane. No hate to the workers. But serious adjustments need to happen or they will go out of business. Moral of the story. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU GO SOMEWHERE.

My wife and I are very happy that we visited this wonderful place. This historical heritage is in very good condition, it is nice to touch a piece of antiquity. Very good service and a very wonderful driver of a small steam locomotive! This interesting place should be visited by every tourist and resident of Australia, out of 5 points - I give 100🤗

Just back from the most amazing weekend away at Bellrowan Valley and wow - these guys have it down to a tee! We had the pleasure of enjoying an overnight stay, and we all agree it really was the most relaxing, fun and refreshing weekend we've had in years. The only problem? One night isn’t nearly long enough! Mark is kind, genuine and filled with knowledge, and trust between Mark and his "mob" of horses is an amazing thing to witness. The horses themselves are a joy to ride – fit, great movers and easy to feel comfortable on. The rides are stunning, weaving through bush, rainforest and farmland, and if you’re an experienced rider, Mark allows for quite a lot of fast-paced riding, meaning you get to cover even more of his stunning property and get to enjoy these horses’ gorgeous forward-moving gates. We also saw the team take out a few beginner trails during our stay and though some were really nervous beforehand, every single rider returned looking confident and extremely happy after their ride. The food is spectacular (especially the fresh-baked damper!) and cabin accommodation just perfect for the atmosphere – all topped off with an open fire and a roaming rainbow donkey! Thank you so much Mark, Julie and team for the perfect getaway. We’re so sad to be back to reality but already planning our return trip!

Wonderful experience!! Being first time riders, we where nervous going in but Mark and staff helped make it an unforgettable experience. Everything was handled in a professional and enjoyable manner. Well trained and beautiful horses, thorough training before the ride and the ride itself through the bushlands - PERFECT!! Highly recommend.

A great horse riding experience! Beautiful scenery, horses and very helpful staff. Loved how the ride catered for experienced riders and learners, all had a ball. The kids fell in love with their horses and the goat, cockatoo and little Bob the pony. Will definitely be back again. Mark and Julie really know how to give you a top riding and farm experience.

Three girlfriends and I, with mixed levels of experience, went to Bellrowan last Sunday and absolutely loved it! From the 4WD ride to and from the property, the horseriding and damper bread at the end, the whole experience was great. We separated from the group with Julie as our guide and she was great! She catered to the two of us that were either new or a little nervous about riding (even got us trotting comfortably), as well as the two that were more experienced and we all had a great time. It's very evident that both Julie and Mark love what they do. My favourite horse riding experience yet! Definitely worth a visit if you're anywhere remotely close by!

Mark and Julie are wonderful hosts. Whether you're a novice or an experienced rider, you will enjoy riding and exploring some of the most beautiful scenery in the Greater Port Macquarie region. We truly had a wonderful experience and the kids did too. We will definately be returning.

What a amazing place. Just returned from an overnight stay and ride at Bellrowan. The staff clearly enjoy what they do, the horses are well cared for and Mark and Julie's passion for their horses shine through. Love the way the horses are matched to the riders level of experience and how everyone, from beginners to advanced are catered for! Can't wait to return for our next trip.

An absolutely stunning property!!! Horses are in beautiful condition and you can tell the staff really enjoy their jobs. Bellrowan Valley is a hidden treasure! The attention to detail that was delivered to each and every guest was amazing to me. We all recieved the ride we were capable of. There were beginners to experienced all on the same ride. Can't say enough about this truly amazing trail ride we experienced. 10 STARS +

Absolutely loved visiting Billabong! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well-kept. The animals spaces are thoughtfully designed, giving the animals plenty of space while still allowing visitors to enjoy an up-close view. The staff were friendly and incredibly informative, always happy to share their knowledge and answer any questions making the visit both fun and educational. Overall, a lovely place to spend the day, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who appreciates animals, conservation, and a truly well cared for environment.

We had a great day. Zoo Keeper Kristie was especially helpful in coaxing the Snow Leopard out after seeing us waiting patiently for him to come out. We did the Cheetah Feeding experience which was awesome. All of the animal info sessions were well run and informative. There were not a lot of people on our visit, so we didn’t have to jostle for a look or good position to take photos. All staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks to the whole Billabong team for making our day memorable.

7.9.2025 This is an amazing facility; the enclosures are all spacious and the animals appear happy and content. There is a walking path around the park and write ups / QR codes for all the animals. The new additions with their pool are gorgeous and we got to see them swimming around on our trip. You can pay extra to encounter a koala or hold and python. Only down side was the hand sanitiser was empty upon exiting the kangaroo enclosure.

We had the best experience at Billabong! Every member of staff was kind, friendly and seemed to genuinely adore the animals under their care. Caitlin delivered the best koala experience we could have hoped for. It’s wonderful to support a facility like this, would recommend.

If your going past 💯 stop in for a visit the keepers and staff are the nicest people. This zoo is awesome the animals are happy and relaxed it's got a great atmosphere 😀.

Wonderful zoo. Australian themed but with a few of the favourites including lions, cheetah and some beautiful birds. Great day out.

Our uber driver recommended this place as we were on our way to the koala hospital that’s near it. We are so thankful they did because we had one of the best experiences ever. It was a quiet day pretty much the zoo to ourselves but we had the best time. The animals seemed very well kept and the staff has so much passion for what they do. Feeding the kangaroos was an experience i’ll never forget. At the end of our day we met the owner Max and he was extremely kind and shared some amazing information. The whole family helps out and it’s just a great place all around. Thank you again to Max for everything!

Beautiful rainforest walk, very well designed and about a bit more than 1 km long. We didn’t see many animals, but the nature and atmosphere made it a lovely experience. After the walk, we stopped at the café which was excellent – great food and drinks! We had a cappuccino and bacon with eggs, both super tasty and freshly made. Definitely worth a visit for a peaceful walk and a relaxing coffee break

Lovely staff, all super friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend to spend some time at the bar and immerse yourself while grabbing a bite/drink. There are several tour options, although you can also purchase the boardwalk alone. In July there are some aboriginal tours going on - photo enclosed. They also sell plants if you want to bring a vivid memory back home and grow it fondly 🌱 Recommended!

Place itself was great. Cute gift-shop, a lot of things to choose from. We saw a few families really enjoying their time there, so perfect with kids. Since we have traveled a lot, it’s not a must see view. Good, but not a must see place.

Fantastic Rainforest tree walk on a walkway through the forest with interesting information along the way about the various trees and plants and their uses. We were lucky enough to see a goanna. Great information centre and souvenirs, Cafe was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited Sea Acres Rainforest centre and did the board walk today and it was magical! We were told at reception where we would see a Powerful Owl, and then spotted it perched on a tree branch which was amazing to see, definitely would not have seen this if we weren’t for the help! The walk is beautiful at every point and the trees were breathtaking! We also met Graham, who is a volunteer at the centre, and asked us if we had any questions about the place, we asked about the fig trees and he had all the facts, we learnt so much! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable so special thanks to Graham! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Nice quiet board walk to be enjoyed whilst taking in the vast rainforest. We were lucky to see an Owl chick. Friendly and helpful staff.
