Great please to spend the day or have a family picnic! Such scenic please! We went on a weekend day there and it was almost empty. We had all the time in the world to enjoy the views! But i recommend going on a day when they have events! Friendly staff, helped us navigate through the garden. As for the most reviews I too thibk it's a bit over priced but its worth the visit! Must visit place in hunter valley!

Located at 2090 Broke Road, Pokolbin, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 I came to these gardens with my group of approximately 35 people, including people with walkers, to see the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular. It was well worth the visit. I absolutely loved it. For the most part, it is accessible for people with mobility issues but there are steps situated around the displays meaning backtracking was required in some instances. Not many though. There’s a couple of toilet 🚻 facilities located at the entrance and about half way through. There’s food vans near the Ferris wheel but they were closed when we went (about 8.30pm) . The amount of work and preparation that had to go into the displays is astounding. So many figurines lighted up. I really enjoyed my visit and took so many photos so remember to bring your camera and make sure to charge your battery in phone because there’s plenty of photo opportunities. Night Entrance (best for this Spectacular to get the full effects fees are - Adults (16+ years) $40.00 Children 4-15 years) - $30.00 Families (2 Adults, 2 Children) - $122.00 There’s always plenty to see during the day also. I would definitely recommend coming here, at least once. A BIG Thumbs up! 👍👍👍

Beautiful well kept gardens of many themes. Well worth the admission price. Extremely picturesque. Great for photo shoots. Great for exploring and enjoying the views and beauty of curated nature.

The gardens were an absolute blast, with so much to explore. Walking through the various themed areas, I felt like I was in a fairytale. The lights display at night was a mesmerizing experience. I definitely took a lot of photos to remember this fantastic trip.

Good venue , about a 5 to 10min walk to where the car was parked because there was heaps of people there. I reckon about 40,000. The concert was really good. The best Act was Vica and Linda Bulla with the guy from hunters and collectors , they also had the church band , and another brother and sister Act , and the last Act was crowded house. Venue was good. We went to the mosh pit at the first band on which was great. We're really close to the stage and it wasn't too crowded but as the afternoon went on it got more and more crowded in the mosh bit and there was a bit more push and shove. Still a great day out and I would recommend it. Certainly if you want to watch some bands and have a good time. Five stars.

Attended my beautiful friends wedding here! What a gorgeous location for such an event! The gardens are truly breathtaking. So many colours, smells and vibes!

Hunter valley garden is a really good place to have a stop when you're traveling in Hunter valley. Especially when you're arrived here at November to January, there would be a Christmas activities which would be many kinds of lights on. Also there are many themes in this garden. It's really a good place to have a try and chill here

Hunter Valley Wildlife Park is a charming zoo that offers visitors the chance to interact with animals like kangaroos through popular feeding encounters. In addition to wildlife experiences, there are various activities available in the Hunter Valley area, such as grape stomping at a resort, Aqua Golf and Putt putt golf at Hunter Valley Gardens Village, high tea at Voco Kirkton Park, and adventurous options like horse riding experiences and hot air balloon rides.
Hunter Valley Wildlife Park may be small, but it’s packed with charm and heart. What stood out most was how happy and playful all the animals and birds were. The highlight was watching a lion play football like a big, curious housecat. It was incredible to see such majestic animals so active and engaged. The intimate setting made the experience feel personal, almost like we were getting special access to observe these amazing creatures up close. Unlike larger zoos, there was no rush, and we could take our time connecting with the wildlife. The staff were friendly and clearly passionate about animal welfare, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
Raith D — Google review
It's definitely desired to stop here. And take a look into the zoo is much more than I expected. Before before I think it's maybe just a small zoom with little animals. But in reality, they are quite a variety of animals, and also, you can see the white kangaroo. Here, you also can feed the kangaroo and other animals. It's quite interesting no matter how old you are.
ALLEN X — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by this place — I’d never heard of it before, but it turned out to be a beautiful spot! The animals look well cared for and generally very happy. I was amazed to see they even have lions and my favourite, the giraffes! A few animals did look a bit restless, but overall it’s a lovely park to visit with the family and definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
Ernie S — Google review
I was genuinely surprised to find such a sizeable wildlife park in Hunter Valley. At first, I thought it would just be a small place with a few animals, but it turned out to have some large predators as well as many unique Australian animals. You can also enjoy close encounters with kangaroos, which was a great experience. If you’re visiting Hunter Valley, I think spending half a day here is definitely worthwhile.
K L — Google review
Amazing zoo, you are able to get up close to most of the animals and see some really unique animals and immersive experience. Most people dont know about this zoo but it's great. Only thing I would change would be the giraffe enclosure your down hill from them so unless they are right in front of you it make it hard to get as good a look as your able to with the other animals they have but you still get good views.
Lisa M — Google review
What a great zoo with an extensive variety of animals, not alot or of shade available during a hot or rainy day; prepare yourself on those days. Very busy on weekends and during school holidays, also attracts some derelict people which can add to your entertainment. Clean BBQ’s available for you to utilise at lunch time if you bring your own lunch.
S. M — Google review
Very family friendly! Kids can interact with kangaroo, goats, Bambi. Even some chicken cage free. Memorable experience, make sure to buy their merchandise when you came to support this lovely zoo 🍻
Verdyan H — Google review
So worth the drive, the parking is fine even when busy, admission prices are great value for money, the venues staff can’t help you enough and have amazing customer service, but the range of beautiful animals and birds exotic animals is so wonderful, it’s such an amazing and beautiful place to visit you can see all of the displays so well, the coffee is nice too. Highly recommended a trip to the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, it’s and easy walk around, facilities are clean and Cessnock is only down the road if you want to stay overnight, for me was a 2 hour easy drive from Sydney’s Hills area

Golf driving range
Hunter Valley Gardens Aqua Golf offers a more casual and affordable golfing experience, with the opportunity to launch balls into the lake for cash prizes. In addition to this unique feature, there is also an 18-hole putt putt course available. The venue is popular but finding a spot is usually not an issue, although shade can be limited on sunny days. Pricing is reasonable and the staff are described as brilliant by visitors.
Great place for family activities which is suitable for old and young! Parking is easy as well just in front of the putt putt. There are many lanes available without any allocation so one can choose to play at any lanes. Just make the payment at the counter in exchange of tokens to be inserted into the golf machine which will generate a bucket of golf balls, pretty interesting for kids! We had over an hour of fun with 5 buckets of balls!
Sess L — Google review
This place is inside the hunter valley gardens. You don't need to take the garden ticket for this. However you need to buy tickets for the golf though. You can either play mini golf or putt putt that has 16-18 courses which i forgot. Its fun with friends and is worth the money. The other one is aqua golf where you make your shot to the lake where there are different nets with prizes labelled which you can win if you get your ball in.
Pritam T — Google review
We accidentally found this hidden the last time we visited Hunter Valley Gardens. So this time we stayed the night after visiting the gardens for the Christmas lights and next day went to Aqua Golf. This is scenic and loads of fun for young and old. Prices are reasonable. We thought we will buy tickets for 2 buckets of aqua golf and ended up buying for 5. Due to rains the previous 2 nights, we did not opt for the putt putt golf. Very relaxed atmosphere. Pay for the bucket of golf balla at the counter, choose any lane and start playing. Parking is right outside the entrance. Toilets are on the other side of the park and you need to walk across the park to access it.
Travel, L — Google review
Fun place, very very busy when we went. $12 a bucket (roughly 34 balls) $22 for 2 bucket And so on, more bucket toy get, you save a few dollars. Nets set up to win Ice cream, free bucket of balls, free putt putt, ice cream, soft drinks and some bigger prizes as well. Lots of fun
Josh S — Google review
This was a bit of fun but hard to win a prize. Would be good if they added a ew more prize nets on the lake.
Sharon L — Google review
We were in the hunter valley on a holiday. We were at the gardens next door and decided to go to the Aqua Golf. We love aqua golf and the guys here were brilliant. The prices are reasonable ($9 for 1 bucket and $15 for 2 buckets) and we loved it that much we got 6 buckets each. It is great fun even if you don’t hit the targets.
Daithí K — Google review
As a keen golfer we arrived at Aqua golf. This was the only venue open due to two days of rain. We were informed we couldn’t use our own clubs, not even our pitcher & 9 iron. I’m 6.4 and my son is 6.7. Clubs were way too short for us. When asked why we couldn’t use our own clubs the guy behind the desk just shrugged and explained those are the rules. Great customer service and 6 people walked away not spending any money. Also if any one asks what we think of the place you know what our answer will be.
Chris P — Google review
Aqua Golf somehow proved like a hidden gem for us. Extremely reasonable pricing with an amazing golfing range. Possibly the most scenic golfing range I have personally seen. I would recommend going for a combo deal that is truly worth the price

Brokenwood Wines is a renowned winery located in the Hunter Valley, offering visitors a chance to indulge in wine tastings and enjoy picturesque vineyard landscapes. The region is also home to other attractions such as Audrey Wilkinson Vineyard, Ivanhoe Wines, and Scarborough Wine Co. For those seeking more than just wine, the Hunter Valley Gardens and the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company provide delightful experiences.
We became members of Brokenwood after a fantastic wine tasting in January with Liam, who was amazing and introduced us to some beautiful wines. This past weekend, we returned to the Hunter and, even without a booking, were warmly accommodated. To our delight, Liam was there again and remembered us—it felt like catching up with an old friend! He was incredibly attentive, asking about our wine preferences and even securing us a lunch reservation at The Wood, the restaurant inside Brokenwood. After an already incredible tasting, our lunch was the perfect next step in our experience. We sat at a beautiful table overlooking the oak barrels and enjoyed the “Feed Me” menu with paired wines. Every dish was a standout, with the gnocchi being an absolute highlight—I highly recommend it! The steak and wine pairings were also perfection. We were so grateful when Chef Sean came out to chat with us, giving us a chance to compliment him and learn more about the food. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we are so thankful to be members of such a stunning estate!

We had the pleasure of dining at Brokenwood Wines over the long weekend. The food was absolutely delicious! Myself and a few others did the wine pairings and I have to say, some of the most delicious wines I’ve ever tasted! Will be buying wine from Brokenwood shortly! Highly recommend for groups in the Hunter!

Simply awesome! The Match experience was absolutely wonderful — the wine and food pairings were exceptional, to the point where we enjoyed every single wine we tasted. Liam, who guided us through the session, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. We were truly impressed! I have to add to my review after heading to lunch right after the Match experience. The service here is on another level! We opted for the set lunch and mentioned only that we don’t eat beef, but when the chef found out that I also don’t take lamb, he was incredibly accommodating and kindly swapped my dish for fish instead. THANK YOU CHEF TRAVIS!!! The staff here are just amazing! Your warmth, friendliness, and hospitality are what make us want to come back again. We are so impressed and grateful for such a memorable experience!

This was the last of the wineries on our stop and we were suitably impressed - the grandeur and the feel of the cellar door experience was very different to any we had done that day. Our server, Lauren, was amazing! We had expressed that we weren’t enjoying the Chardonnays that we had tried that day, so asked to swap it out with something else and before we knew it, we had a completely different and customised wine tasting! So accomodating, warm, funny and attuned to what we were after. We walked away with something completely different for all of us - the Sticky Wicket desert wine and wanted to bring Lauren home with us. Thank you Lauren for making our cellar door experience so wonderful.

We had lunch at the brokenwood restaurant. Very nice welcoming from the staff that offered us different options to eat. Very attentive staff including the chef in the kitchen. The waitress was very kind and professional. She let us enjoying our food with no rush. The portion were generous and very tasty from the appetisers to the dessert. You could tell the high quality products use. Even the olive oil… Highly recommend it if you’re around hunter valley. 🍷

Outstanding .. Such a premium experience. And ow my goodness - Food has been outstanding .. Not overly creative in a good way. Traditional meals done Delicious .. And the wine range has been so vast and varied. Very impressive

Dined for lunch on a weekday last week. I am peeved that our steak was served 5-10mins after our small plates/starters which included cold raw fish. We were not done with our starters when the meat were served. Steak would obviously turn cold by the time we started eating and the table was cluttered too. We feedback to the lady staff who told us we did not indicate our preference when she asked. I do not recall any such question asked to the same effect. Restaurant was far from full capacity since it’s a rainy weekday lunch. Kitchen was open kitchen so I’m not sure why the chef also thought it’s ok to fire up my steak in a hurry. Not sure if this is a place I want to dine in when I’m just trying to enjoy myself in the vibes of Hunter Valley.

Tulloch Wines is a family-friendly winery in the Hunter Valley, offering activities for both adults and kids. While parents indulge in Shiraz tastings and custom charcuterie boards, children can enjoy outdoor games like croquet and Jenga. The Junior Tasting Experience provides tasty treats paired with non-alcoholic beverages for kids, while older visitors can sample mystery wines with charcuterie and cheese platters.
We had a fantastic wine tasting experience at Tulloch. We felt very welcome and were well attended to by the staff. It was great to compare the different vintages of their Shiraz and they have so many great wines it was hard to pick which ones to take home!

It was our first time visiting for wine tasting, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who took great care of us with detailed explanations and engaging interactions. A special thanks to Kylie for her thoughtful attention to our puppy. We also really loved the design of the tasting menu. Overall, it was such a delightful experience, and we will definitely be back next time.

We had a fantastic tasting experience at Tulloch! Kylie was incredible—she kept our kids (ages 4, 6, and 8) happily entertained, allowing my husband to fully enjoy the tasting. The kids' tasting option is such a brilliant idea! Kylie also seemed to be a mind reader—she somehow knew exactly which wines weren’t for us, and recommended only the ones we loved. It honestly felt like she knew our taste better than we did! Highly recommend a visit—we'll definitely be coming back. We ended up purchasing more than five wines we truly enjoyed! Big call given normally we are tied to only red from the Barossa but Kylie knew what reds we should try that we enjoy. We want to take you home Kylie!!!

Dave is a legend! Quite seriously the best wine experience I’ve ever had. Great banter, knowledge and customer service. This man knows his wine. And let me tell you…. The wine here is exquisite. Beautiful scenery, family owned, and no stingy portion!!! Thank you Tulloch, and thank you Dave. Best regards, Cian

A big thank you to Faith who looked after us at Tullochs. We had a wonderful tasting experience here and throughly enjoyed your Verscato - this was a top pick of our weekend travelling to different wineries! Faith has lots of knowledge on pairing and grape varieties. Would also highly recommend the cheese board to pair with your wine tasting.

Our family had a fantastic experience at Tulloch today. Dave and the team provided us with exceptional service and advice. We loved the tasting experience and the kids were very comfortable and satisfied with their kids tasting. We were delighted with the quality of wine produced here and only too happy to sign up for membership. Thank you!

Modern Australian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Pokolbin, Restaurant Botanica offers a modern Australian dining experience with a focus on locally sourced ingredients and classic French cooking techniques. The restaurant's light-filled setting provides picturesque views of the surrounding vineyards and kitchen garden. Guests can indulge in generous and creative dishes, featuring fresh seafood, prime cuts of beef, and an array of roasted, pickled, preserved, and baked vegetables.
Sublime! An indulgent experience capturing a beautiful balance of taste with style. A divine selection of entrees and mains that were perfectly complimented with your choice of wine and spirits. The style, presentation, and the ambience of the restaurant was warm, romantic, and charming. Excellence in hospitality, with professional and friendly customer service. A stand out restaurant nestled in beautiful grounds of the Hunter. Well done!

Exquisite! I was blown away by the flavours, the elegance and restraint served up at Restaurant Botanica. This culinary trifecta is not easily achievable and must be commended. With an arm twisting local and beyond wine list, this place is hard to ignore. My family and I indulged ourselves. Tempura prawns, tuna sashimi, crispy chicken, beef carpaccio, gnocchi, beef short rib, malt ice cream and dark chocolate torte. On the surface, these don't sound jaw dropping. And really, the dishes of fancy restaurants sound like a collection of ingredients. But add in talented chef prowess and great service and these collections of ingredients sing. We'll be back!
Neville S — Google review
Our second visit and did not disappoint after a memorable first visit. The dishes are Japanese inspired and blend a range of unusual ingredients to great effect. Our waiter was relatively new but was attentive and helpful.
Marc C — Google review
What a beautiful location! I loved everything about this place — the view, the food, and the sunset. My photos don’t do it justice, but the flavours were absolutely magnificent. We started with the lobster bisque and duck parfait — both rich and perfectly balanced. Then came the mushrooms with garlic, done in so many creative ways that every bite tasted different and full of flavour — easily my favourite dish of the night! The chicken followed and it was just as impressive — so juicy and tender that every chicken I have in the future will seem dry by comparison. This was my second favourite dish. A big thank you to the amazing team for their warm service and to the chef for such incredible flavours. Truly a memorable dining experience!

A very intimate and picturesque fine dining restaurant that served as a special and memorable place to have our honeymoon. Not only did we thoroughly devour the special set menu for dinner that was carefully curated by head chef Adam Frey, he ALSO facilitated an impromptu and delicious afternoon lunch for my very hungry husband when options in the Valley were limited! Highly recommend Restaurant Botanica, a wonderful experience where we shall return to in due course ✨
Kennedy S — Google review
The atmosphere of this restaurant is serene, peaceful and absolutely stunning. We could even see wallabies in the vineyards from our table which was amazing. The food was delicious, unique, and well priced for a fine-dining establishment. The cocktails were to die for. I can't wait to return!

An unforgettable dining experience at Botanica We had one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had in the Hunter Valley at Botanica. The restaurant has only recently opened, but everything — from the atmosphere to the food — feels refined and deeply thought out. A special mention to Loki, the manager, who made our evening truly exceptional. He is incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. As someone who is intolerant to onion and garlic, I often find dining out a bit challenging, but Loki handled everything with such care and confidence. He assured me I would leave full, happy, and satisfied — and he was absolutely right. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, and the service was impeccable. Botanica is an absolute gem, and I can’t wait to return!

Easily booked online for a dinner on a Saturday evening. Service was excellent - constant checking us and topping up drinks and asking if we need anything so we never had to ask. We had the tasting menu of 5 courses. Food was fresh, flavours suitably Australian and not too challenging. I took my teenagers who ate everything. The servings are generous so I would recommend an early lunch so you have plenty of room (or skipping lunch). Extensive wine list which we did not sample. The house made sodas were spritzy and reasonably priced. Lovely ambience with views over the vineyard and music is at perfect level for quiet private conversations. I would recommend this for couples, adult social gatherings and families with mature children who can sit and eat a meal. They do ask about dietary concerns. Plenty of parking - apparently have EV charging but we didn't get to plug in. I would go back after I had tried all the dining in the area!

The restaurant offers a contemporary dining experience with friendly service in a beautiful setting. With a private terrace nestled in the vineyards, it's an ideal place to enjoy quality time with loved ones while savoring delicious food.
We thoroughly enjoyed an amazing 5-30pm , 3 course dinner this evening with my wife. From the moment we arrived the service was friendly and professional and knew we were in for a very special evening. We were seated on the outside veranda overlooking the vines and the atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful. We were then treated to the most outstanding 3 course meal A few delicious cocktails later and we were on our way. Thank you so much to all of the staff this evening for making our experience so special. I would highly recommend this dining experience to anyone. We can’t wait to return again soon.

We had an Easter long weekend family dinner here. First off, the hospitality was amazing, accommodating for us to have a wonderful window table as it was our parent's anniversary dinner. The view as the sun set was beautiful and the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The restaurant also had high ceilings and a sleek, modern interior that was bright and inviting. The food, an absolute delight from start to finish. The toasty warm bread and crackers with relish to start were moreish. We had scallop and the pork as entrees, and beef and duck breast for mains. The food was cooked to perfection and the flavours were delicious. The chocolate and pavlova desserts were just melt in your mouth goodness. Parents had the cheese platters which were fabulous and generously portioned. Already dreaming about going back next time we're at Hunter again.

This has got to be my favourite restaurant for the Hunter region. My husband and i celebrated our birthdays with a weekend away. Hunters Quarter was a must as Cockfighers Ghost is our favourite Chardonnay, with memories going back 25 years 😳 We sat on the deck on a cool Autumnal evening, the views really are beautiful. The food is amazing, every dish delicately put together like a work of art. The flavours in each of our dishes were delicious. The service impeccable but also friendly, knowledgeable on the menus . This was a very special evening made so much more special with the standard of food and service. We dined on the Saturday at at another highly rated restaurant which was great but HQ nailed it. We'll be back for sure. 🙏🏼

We ordered the $150 degustation menu with wagyu upgrade for $20 extra. Food was well presented but tasted poor, main dish was very salty, steak was tough for a medium rare wagyu steak. Most of our group only ate half of each course because of how salty things were. We found the combination of food did not complement each other at all. We all enjoyed the cappacio and dessert. Service was not great either, no one asked us if food was alright, especially when a few of us left courses half eaten. Overall not a great experience, but the atmosphere was good, and food was presently nicely.

We have been here twice now. Speechless. All I can say is wow. Wow. I now have a new favourite restaurant in the hunter! Every single thing about this restaurant is amazing. The food is memorable and leaves you wanting more. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere and music taste 👌🏼 perfect.

This restaurant is jaw-dropping in every sense. The food was amazing, absolutely no faults. Anything you order off the menu is guaranteed to be delicious. I had a chicken dish which was beautiful. The cocktails are also fabulous. The service was impeccable, we had the most lovely waiter who was attentive, friendly and accommodating. The setting was honestly the most beautiful backdrop for a restaurant I have ever experienced. Overlooking a huge vineyard and pond, you can see kangaroos, bunnies, ducks and other wildlife. It was perfect. 11/10.

Our 4th time coming back to Hunters Quarters and it is always such an amazing experience. The food is delicious and staff are great. They have a wide range of wines that work well with a lot of dishes.

Before lunch, we had a sit down wine tasting in the Pooles Rock cellar door, a very informative & pleasant wine tasting which was enjoyable - ended up buying six of their wines. Then spent a very relaxing long lunch next door at Hunters Quarter, sat outside in the beautiful weather & enjoyed the scenic vista - a peaceful, relaxing spot. Restaurant has ample indoor & outdoor seating, a warm ambience & feels very welcoming. Started with complimentary seaweed crisps, salmon dip, freshly baked bread, olive oil etc. Bounced into a couple of super nice mains via the fish of the day (John Dory) with smoked potato & charred leek - this was light, full of flavour & really nice. Other shared main was Jerusalem artichoke ravioli with smoked peas & swiss chard - a beautifully put together dish. Rounded out with duck fat potatoes - can't go wrong here! Finished off with the cheese plate & chocolate slice/cake. Both dishes were enjoyed & were a quality way to finish off lunch. Service was on point from start to finish, cannot fault the pace, friendliness, menu/food knowledge & their very attentive level of looking after us.

Long weekend in the Vines- first visit for many years- so, where to have a quality dinner on a busy Saturday night? ESCA at Bimbadgen Estate more than fulfilled our expectations- friendly staff, impeccable service (even to asking if we needed an Uber or cab ordered at the end of our evening). Nothing was too much trouble. The food was a fixed 3 or 4 course menu with a series of choices in each category- but the quality, expert preparation and presentation was superb. Befitting a top Sydney eatery, this was fantastic food and, very reasonably priced. We chose a Shiraz grown and cellared on the premises and expertly presented. Thank you all for a great night out to savour and remember. Only downside was the hard floors walls and ceilings which echoed conversations around the room. We will be back. Highly recommended.

We were very disappointed with our dining experience at Esca yesterday. We had been told it was fantastic by our friends that were with us, hence why we booked. The price bracket did not reflect the service or food served. Very underwhelmed. Some dishes were fantastic, but most were below average. If you go, order the artichoke, salmon gravalax and Stracciatella for entree - they were delicious. We had 4 different mains - the pork belly was outstanding but the fish, duck and ravioli were very, very average. The young lady serving us was very pleasant but had not been trained on the food or drinks menu. We were brought champagne glasses for our white wine. Very over priced for what we got. The view was amazing but I'm afraid we definitely won't be back or recommending Esca.

Hosted my Hens dinner party in the private dining room and it was perfect! Food was excellent, service was incredible and staff were super friendly! Thank you guys for putting up with our silly disney/harry potter games and going along with the pranks my bridesmaids had to pull! It was ☆ Magical ☆

I was surprised by the unique combination of kingfish with a green curry sauce and their dipping sauce for the fries😆👍🏻 We also ordered the Moroccan chicken, the chicken meat was well cooked, however the egg plant (comes as a side) was a bit too salty. Overall, the experience was lovely with beautiful views and great service. I ordered a Gamay (not their in-house wine, but one from Victoria) and it was superb! Really enjoyed that glass! A bit overpriced, but worth it for a great lunch, especially after a long day in the hot weather.

Had a lovely meal here with two girlfriends to celebrate our birthdays. The service was amazing. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. The food was fantastic. Serving sizes were quite good - enough for the number of courses (we had three) but not super tiny like some high end restaurants are. We visited at night so didn’t get to see the view - maybe next time. Highly recommend for a high end meal out at the Hunter Valley that isn’t seriously expensive.

The view is great, the space wonderful. The food missed the mark in places. The Tatar was completely overshadowed by the capers, if the plate looks more green the red you went too far. Hand chop is always appreciated but knife skills might need upgrading. The zucchini flowers, very generous portion and very rich, less is more with Gorgonzola. However the pork was delicious although plating was more bistro than fine dining and duck cooked very well. Service efficient, hardly missing a beat even with a large function, but lacked warmth, and failing at hiding frustrations with guests. I don’t think one would ever complain about a lunch here but I wouldn’t be sending any post cards either.

We recently dined at Esca & it was fabulous all round from the excellent service, to the delicious food & the awesome cocktails. Kerr & his team are professional & on top of their game. We have already booked again with friends. One of the best in The Hunter, absolutely recommend!

Such a fantastic cafe for breakfast. Our group of 10 was well catered for and the meals and coffee orders were delivered quickly after ordering. There were so many choices for breakfast that it was hard to select what to order. We received fantastic service with delicious meals and wonderful coffee. It was a very memorable experience. The building and gardens were gorgeous. Such a lovely setting. There was plenty of parking on site.

The ingredients at Enzo Café are exceptionally fresh, with the seafood and meat we tried being large, tender, and full of flavor. Highly recommend the garlic bread, lobster linguini, and pork belly. You can truly taste the chef’s dedication in the sauces and details, with side dishes like the potatoes and apple sauce adding delightful surprises. Even the bread dip left a lasting impression. The café is pet-friendly, set in a beautiful environment, and the staff are warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Be Sure to Order in Moderation! 😉 This restaurant truly captures the laid-back Aussie vibe — a little fountain, green lawns, coffee, wine 🍷 Dining in the midst of nature while enjoying great food… it doesn’t get more relaxing than this 😌 🍝 Linguini with Tiger Prawns – $47 Tomato-based prawn pasta — packed with flavor and seriously delicious. Every single word in the dish name just sounds like a win! They were super generous with the prawns and the cheese. You really can’t go wrong with anything tomato-based here. 🧀 Burrata Mozzarella – $36 This salad was massive! The burrata paired with prosciutto was incredibly tasty. The cherry tomatoes and bell peppers in it were fresh and flavorful too — not just filler! 🥔 Crispy Potatoes – $17.50 These roast potatoes were absolutely perfect — crispy, golden, and super satisfying. The portion? Huge. We couldn’t even finish it. 🍞 Scones – $17.50 I always thought scones were meant to be small and dainty… These ones? Absolute giants! Totally unexpected and totally worth it.

Great lunch with friends at this lovely Cafe Enzo. Food amazing and staff including Ron were so friendly and accomodating. We had the brisket burger, chicken caesar salad and the burrata mozzarella and all were so delicious. We did not leave hungry. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning day for a family lunch! We had the best time and ordered some delightful meals, as well as trying a glass of wine and Aperol Spritz! My favourite was the sticky date pudding, divine. There is also a wine tasting space and several other businesses to check out in this hub. Would suggest booking a table on a nice day, we were glad we did, lunchtime was busy! Easy parking. Excellent service, the staff were super nice and just made the whole experience amazing. We cant wait to come back!

Our breakfast at Enzo's Hunter Valley Cafe was very enjoyable. The unique ambiance and the enchanting courtyard, surrounded by the beautiful Peppers Creek Village, set a wonderfully relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The excellent service was attentive and warm from the moment we arrived, making the start of our day perfect. For breakfast, I chose the classic Enzo Big Breakfast, which was a hearty combination of free-range eggs, crisp bacon, mushrooms, roasted tomato and sourdough toast. The coffee was very good, rich, smooth, and exactly what I needed to kick off a day in the Hunter Valley. It’s clear that everything served here, from the homemade tomato chutney to the fresh produce, is prepared with genuine care. If you are looking for a dining experience that combines delicious, high-quality food with an unforgettable atmosphere, Enzo's is an absolute must-do when visiting the Hunter Valley. We left feeling satisfied, relaxed, and ready to take on the day. If not for some overdue maintenance and repairs, I would have given 5 stars.

We really enjoyed the food at Café Enzo — everything was fresh, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The dishes were generous and well put together, and the setting has a relaxed, cosy feel. The only downside was the wait time, with the food taking about 30 minutes to come out, but once it arrived it was definitely worth it. Just make sure you make a booking because it gets busy. A great spot for a nice meal when you’re in the area.

This really is one of the best value, quality driven venues in the Hunter. It gets extremely busy so you probably should book, especially if you want to sit inside where it is a bit cooler, outside during the day can be warm and the flyers annoying. One thing you absolutely need to be aware of is the portion size which is generally huge. Each male we had whether it be appetiser or mine could comfortably be shared amongst two or three people. The food quality is also excellent and the price for what you get is outstanding. The menu is really comprehensive and despite being low season where other restaurants have cut their menus in half this is super busy and you have endless choices. We had lunch and it was amazing and planned to go back for dinner at least before we leave.

My partner and I celebrated our 3-year anniversary here and we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, the service was beyond exceptional — warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. They made us feel so special and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate the occasion. Every detail was taken care of with such class and care. The atmosphere, the food, the staff — everything was perfect. We’ll definitely be back and recommending this place to everyone we know!

A Must-Visit Culinary Experience in the Hunter Valley – MUSE Restaurant If you're seeking an outstanding and unforgettable dining experience in the Hunter Valley, MUSE Restaurant is an absolute must. From the moment you drive through their gates, you're immersed in a sense of luxury. Approaching the grand entrance, you're warmly greeted by butlers who open the large glass doors, inviting you into a sophisticated foyer. There, your personal waiter welcomes you and guides you through elegant timber-framed glass doors into the ambient dining room. You're then comfortably seated while your coats are taken to the cloakroom — a small touch that adds to the refined experience. From the first moment, it's clear that MUSE is about more than just a meal — it’s a complete sensory journey. The food is presented with immaculate precision, each dish thoughtfully crafted and beautifully plated. Every course is paired with exquisite wines from their vineyard and region, enhancing the flavors and elevating the experience. The dining room, anchored by a stunning double-sided open fireplace, exudes warmth and elegance, making it the perfect setting to enjoy a luxury culinary escape. While MUSE is on the pricier side, the quality, atmosphere, and exceptional service make it worth every cent. It’s not just a dinner — it’s an experience that stays with you long after the last course. If I could change one thing, make the bathroom heated with warm water to wash your hands. Outstanding experience.

Thought it was about time to see what all the fuss was about. Well Muse certainly did not disappoint. From the moment you walk to the doors, you are greeted by a friendly staffer who opens the door and greets you. The restaurant with its large open fire place, and open kitchen has a feeling of honesty and calm. The staff are extremely polite, attentive, and well versed on the degustation menu. The food was lovely, an intricate blend of ingredients, to dazzle the taste buds and sensors. To Chef and owner Troy Brown, fantastic night, to all the staff, thank you for a great experience. Really lovely to have a Birthday cake presented to my partner, very nice. Matt and Suze

We had a mini family reunion at Hunter Valley last December. This meal was one of the highlights. It was one of the best restaurants we've visited in Australia. The staff and the service is outstanding especially since we have a rather large group. Everyone is friendly and helpful, from the host at the door to our waitress and somm. Some of us had the wine pairing and everything is well designed and thought out. The entire five course meal is well paced, delicious and flows perfectly. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful long lunch with wine tasting at Muse Restaurant in Hunter Valley. The wine pairing was excellent, starting with three whites, followed by two reds, and finishing with a dessert wine. Each pour was introduced with friendly and professional explanations. The food was equally impressive — the pan roasted Redgate Farm duck was perfectly cooked. A relax afternoon in Hunter Valley.

From the moment you enter Muse the attention to detail starts and doesn’t stop. Staff are so friendly but respectful of your dining experience. The food is delicious and innovative with each dish artistically presented. The wine menu is extensive and the staff are even happy to make cocktails on request. The cost reflects the dining experience being a 5 course degustation menu on Fridays which is when we went. You can also have matching wines with each course. This is well worth the experience and the different flavors will certainly wow you.

Service 10/10 - servers and sommeliers alike were very proactive and attentive. Drinks 10/10 - Absolutely delicious. The best espresso martini I've ever had in my life and incredible coffee + wine. Ambience 10/10 - lovely open wooden fireplace Food was unfortunately a big big letdown! Although dishes were well presented, we found that most of them had lackluster flavours. The fish courses were delicate and refined, and I enjoyed the scotch egg, but in general we found the other dishes to be average. For a fine dining degustation at this price we would also assume we would have a main course with some form of red or white meat, and we felt unsatisfied with the mushroom main that we were served. No one on our table finished that particular dish. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase local livestock produce. I can't say I left feeling full and satisfied. I'm torn about this place because absolutely everything except the food was perfection. If there was a bar option I'd love to return for a drink but with the food at its current standard, I was left disappointed and don't think I will be back.

The degustation at Muse Restaurant is fantastic. Deserving of their chefs hats. Be sure to add their signature coconut dessert! Amazing. And if dining on the weekend, the scotch eggs need to be added too. Also really delicious. A trip to Hunter Valley is a good reason to indulge in wonderful local produce, and Muse didn’t disappoint.
