A must if you are in San Luis, specially at sunset or full moon days. Bring a bag and take some salt with you back home too!

(Translated by Google) Very good place to go with your family or friends and explore the Salinas that today the Dos Anchors company operates. Very nice tour to take by car and enjoy with the family a different place, it would seem like you were on another planet. Nature expresses itself and the Salinas are huge, very nice, a little smaller than those in the north but very pleasant, a nice excursion to go out. Highly recommended to do it during the day and take advantage of the sunset in the salt flat. Be careful where you walk because sometimes there are big cracks. It is advisable to go on Sunday when there is little truck work activity in the area. No entrance is needed and on Twitter you enter with your car directly.

(Translated by Google) I loved the place; it has a lot of history. Located in the province of San Luis, from Route 7, heading toward Mendoza, turn south and there are about 5 km of paved road. There's a small tourist information office and a well-maintained parking lot. From there, you walk 100 meters to access the salt hills, incredible. It's a barren landscape, not a single weed grows, but it's impressive. From this place, salt is supplied to all of Argentina. They let you climb and walk around the salt hills. Just another part of our great country. It's a beautiful experience, I highly recommend it.

(Translated by Google) We went on the last day of the stay in San Luis, it is really very nice, if you are around there, you can't miss it, I recommend going with sunscreen, a hat and glasses, because being an open and white space the sun hits harder, you can climb several salt mountains, except for those who are working, there is a parking lot, where you can leave the car and then you have to do the tour on foot, the entrance is at will, I thought it was a beautiful place, I recommend without a doubt!

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Nestled in the charming town of La Punta San Luis, the Piramide de Mayo stands as a remarkable historical site that beautifully captures the essence of its past. Visitors can explore this well-preserved attraction, which includes an international hotel located just behind the pyramid and a scenic 600-meter path leading to the House of Tucuman. The journey begins beside the town hall, where wax and wood figures bring history to life.
(Translated by Google) The place is beautiful and is exactly the size of what the real one was. It is very well cared for and maintained. The walk merits seeing two things together. It is a place that takes you back in history. La Punta is a small town and this attraction is good. It costs $500 per person to enter and you see the Cabildo and the House of Tucumán. Nestled in the heart of Argentina, Parque Nacional Sierra de las Quijadas is a breathtaking destination that showcases stunning landscapes and serene heights. The park's majestic mountain range offers an ideal habitat for condors, allowing visitors to witness these magnificent birds soaring gracefully overhead. Families can enjoy well-marked self-guided trails that are easy to navigate, making it accessible for all ages.

(Translated by Google) We visited it with my family, good service at reception, we only did the short self-guided trails (of which there are two), very well marked and easy to navigate. Both the cafeteria and the bathrooms in that part were not open, which complicated their use since they were only available at the entrance to the park, which is 6km from the parking lot. It is a beautiful place and we wanted to take the guided tour to the traces of the past but there was a lot of wind and the guide told us that perhaps small children would not have a good time, so we took his advice. And that speaks well of them that they charge to make that journey.

Salto de la Moneda is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Nestled in a serene environment, this stunning waterfall can be reached via well-marked trails that cater to different skill levels. Visitors can choose between an easier path suitable for families or a more challenging route that involves navigating rocks and narrow paths, both offering breathtaking views along the way. The hike typically takes around 40 minutes, making it an accessible yet rewarding experience.
(Translated by Google) It can be accessed from the fire brigade station, a low difficulty walk with a unique landscape...at the end, a jump about 30 meters high with fresh, crystalline waters surrounded by a more than beautiful natural environment. (Translated by Google) It is a very nice place, the entrance costs 6 thousand per person, the parking is safe. To get to the waterfall you can choose between two paths of different difficulties, the "medium" difficulty one is good since you can see the pasture lake from above, and on the way back you can take the "easy" path, the main waterfall is 2 meters deep, but on the sides you can stand on the stones. I recommend doing it, it is very nice.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful experience to reach the coin jump. We went along the path from the stream along the river and even crossing the river. In my experience it is more fun with much more shade and they don't charge you. On the other side it is signposted and they charge you between 5 thousand pesos per person. The path is easier there but there is no shade, you will die from the heat in summer. The only good thing is that you can drive up to a certain point and then you start walking. But actually coasting the river makes it more entertaining. There are dogs in the area that literally guide you and you don't get lost. And if you don't ask the firefighters and they tell you to always follow the river on the right side. The walk lasts an hour or an hour and a half depending on each person. Then the place invites you to rest and cool off in its deep waters. Excellent experience! It can be done with children. Exelente experiencia! Se puede hacer con niños.

(Translated by Google) The road by car is quite neglected. When you start the trail they write down your information and also when you leave. The entrance cost us $4000 per person. The trail is of medium difficulty and there is another of easy difficulty. In the first pot there is a lot of shade, in the second there is almost no shade but it is the one with the waterfall. I recommend going early because the walk in the sun is very hard and in order to find a place, it gets very crowded. Cap and lots of sunscreen. There are beautiful views along the trail, you can see the entire pasture. I love how the place is now. You can tell they care for the animals. The only thing that would be good is that they put information about them, their history or how they are doing. The presence of a neo-gothic church in Azul, a city situated in the southern center of Buenos Aires province, is indeed surprising, considering its distance from major cities with grandiose churches. Piedra Movediza was a 300-ton granite rock that fell from a hill in Tandil, Argentina in 1912. A replica of the rock was erected on the same spot in 2007 and has become a significant symbol of the city. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the city and exercise while exploring the park where the replica is located. Although small, it is worth visiting to see this historic landmark which remains an impressive feat of balance and weight despite being a fake copy.
This is a beautiful touristic place to visit. Is one of the places to go when you are in Tandil. The story is cool and is a really smooth hike on stone stairs, the view is really nice.
Maria M — Google review
Another remarkable place from Tandil. This one is more prepared and adapted to receive tourist of many kinds.. the path is full of stairs which make it safer for you and for them the base places at the top of the hill is made of wood and the distance between tables might be a little challenging for your dog however is not impossible to walk through it (Filippa my pet got an small bruise there) it does not take out the fact that is a nice place for outdoor walking Highly recommended @dog_of_baires
Sepe 9 — Google review
Totally bullshit. The rock on top is basically fake (copy of an original one that felt years ago), supported by metal structure. The view is pretty though, but it's the most uninteresting place that we visited in Tandil.
Julia K — Google review
Came in summer. Nice to do in the morning before is too hot since there is no shadow. Good view of the city. No need to pay to enter the park. Small can be seeing in 1 hour. The rock is a fake one and it looks fake, they should paint correctly. The original fell long time ago. And they should put the more protections to go down.

Climbing up a huge flight of stairs only to see a REPLICA of a teetering boulder? It lacks authenticity if it were for me (though the story behind why there's a replica of it sorta makes sense). Nevertheless, you get to take in Tandil in its entirety. And it does feels satisfactory!

The chairlift costs $9000 peso which isn't really worth the price. There's a small artificial forest in the above station, a coffee shop and a very small area of grass where you can enjoy the sunshine. Nothing else. Everywhere is protected by the wire fence. It serves as an alluring destination for Christians due to its impeccable depiction of the Via Crucis, featuring various stages portrayed through artistic sculptures. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks amidst the serene ambiance, finding solace and tranquility in this spiritually uplifting location.
Beautiful place specially to celebrate Easter. Since 1943 the Stages of the Cross are represented along the way from the bottom till the top, where a big cross awaits. The image is breathtaking needless to say one gets very emotional. Thousands of people matching towards the cross, praying, leaving messages and prayers. The view of the city from the top is worthy. I recommend going on a weekday as weekends must be very busy. You can go on a sunny day with heat or not since you have options of a lot of shade or not. You can skirt the entire lake and I recommend that you do so because the view changes. There is kayak rental, a municipal spa and a municipal sports center where you can enter the baths, also an area where there are geese and capybaras (be a good human and don't bother the animals).

(Translated by Google) A lovely place to spend the day outdoors, or just to walk around the lake. From one end of the dike, there's an easy walking path to the park and Moorish castle.

(Translated by Google) If you like adventure tourism, it is your option. It is not marked, although the path guides you, it does not have security measures because it is not enabled, and you are left to your own devices. However, the place has its mystique, with very beautiful views that simulate lakes. Footwear is essential. And it's a free ride.

Great experience to go and see Jesus of the sierras, is a really peaceful place and the monument to Jesus is really beautiful. The hike to ascend is almost 700m which is between 12 and 15 minutes to go to the top, and between 10 and 12 to go down.

They say it takes 40 minutes to get to the top. But we made it in 10. Nice place but you won't get more than 30 minutes visit from it.

Strange Christ with short hands, but the view is pretty. Good place to make memorable fotos, but you will jot spend more than 5 min on top, so consider this when you decide to visit this place or not.
Julia K — Google review
The Statue has short arms for some reason and it's funny. The place is not quite well mantained.
Alexis B — Google review
Good, too basic no secrets(you can see the sculpture from the bottom), and the sculpture isn't the best. But the view of Tandil, at the top is always beautiful.

Museo Fangio

Museum
Specialty Museums
A fantastic celebration of five-time World Champion Juan Manuel Fangio. Few (if any) places will have such a collection of classic race cars from the 1950s and few more modern ones. Well worth the trip to Balcarce. I am Brazilian and a fan of Ayrton Senna, who himself said Fangio was the best race driver ever. Who am I to argue?
Ernesto F — Google review
A wonderful and very provincial museum in a tiny town... Like the title for a novel! We can discuss for a long time why copies of Mercedes are needed here or that the quality of restoration and completeness of many exhibits is extremely questionable. All this is far from Europe. And this is good! Because here you have the opportunity to look at the design of the suspension with a flashlight, crawl your head into the cockpit, or see what kind of file the champion Ferraris were made with... The exhibits are almost not separated from the visitors and this is very nice! But, children and random people will be bored. All the interactivity in the museum is from the mid-twentieth century...

Excellent museum. It's a must if you come to Argentina, specially Buenos Aires. If you visit the museum, you have to visit the race track. Good attention to detail. Haven't got anything from the cafe, but prices seems fair.
