A cradle of our faith for my country. From here the misionary work went out to the east. Glorious holly place, with a lot of history, beautiful mosaics and old architecture. Cript is amazing with lot of relics.

One of the most important church seats in this part of Italy, also for Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. Basilica is build on the 1. century Roman mosaics, that were covered in 4. century by other level of mosaics. On top of those two layers of mosaics the present church was built. The Bell tower dated from 11. century. The three naval church has leather patriarchal seat. The crypt is full of frescos from life of Jesus and the life of saint Hermagoras and saint Fortunatus. You can admire early and fine early Christian mosaics. I liked the most the one with a turtle and the big one that represents sea with boats and sailers.

The Basilica of Aquileia is a treasure that everyone should visit. The mosaic floor is absolutely stunning, and the space around the Basilica is pleasant and relaxing. The frescoed crypt is also fantastic! Absolutely recommended when passing through the FVG region!

The Basilica is a beautiful piece of architecture. Majestic with a magnificent mosaic floor and ornate wooden roof. Also fantastic is the visit to the archaeological dig area below the Basilica where it is possible to see the early roman mosaic dating back to the first century a.d. The area surrounding the Basilica is also very interesting and kept in order.

One of the most beautiful churches ever!

Italy is a country of historical beauties and this Cattedrale is undoubtedly one of them. As soon as one enters the building is immediately overwhelmed by history: the view of the soffit and of the floors, covered by mosaics, is truly breathtaking. When admiring this church you can “touch” the architectural, engineering and artistic ability of our ancestors: these treasures have withstood over a millennium (even more, when considering the original layers dating from B.C.). The building basement is a surprise of mosaics and there it’s really astonishing how, through small tiles, those artists were able to depict amazing subjects, such as animals, faces and various objects. Just a small suggestion: the descriptions of the mosaics made on the handrails, has it is done, is not a very clever solutions, since most of the writings have gone.

Bled is a must visit if you are in Slovenia. We came around end of September, got caught in the rain for the first night but the second day was perfect with sunny weather. Not too crowded during our visit. We love it

It’s our first time in Slovenia so we had to see iconic Lake Bled. We spent 4 hours walking around the lake and taking our time to enjoy the place. It’s beautiful as in a fairytale and there’s plenty to do, toboggan, kayak, SUP, take a pletna boat to the island, just walk around, have a picnic. It’s perfect. There’s definitely tourists around, like ourselves but it wasn’t overcrowded on the day we went in late September. We parked at Straza Bled, found the price most reasonable amongst other carparks for the distance to Lake Bled. 3€ for first 2 hours and 3€ for every next hour. It’s also right next to the fun toboggan.

The island of Maria on Lake Bled feels both real and timeless. I stumbled upon this as the weather shifted, the sun breaking through while a gentle rain fell, creating a moment that felt almost otherworldly.

One of the best lakes in Europe to relax and enjoy. The church is located in the middle of the lake. We can visit the church via rowing boat. Unfortunately we don't have enough time to visit the church and castle. Overall the lake is worth seeing.

The climb up to this castle is pretty steep, and tickets aren’t exactly cheap. If you don’t plan on actually going inside, it might not be worth the effort, since you won’t really get any accessible viewpoints from the top without paying for entry. We had already visited plenty of other spots in the area, so we skipped it this time – maybe next visit. Still, feels like the tickets could be priced a bit more reasonably.

Went to Bled castle on an organized trip, so I was already sorted for the tickets. The main attraction of the castle are the views on the lake, which are quite spectacular. There is a small museum with the story of the castle and of the lake (including the island), a restaurant, toilets and also a souvenir shop. Overall we spent 1h here which I think was appropriate to take photos and explore the museum.

A really interesting and almost mystical medieval castle. No long waiting lines — entry is quick and easy, whether you pay in cash or digitally — and suddenly you’re standing right inside history. At the top, there’s a cozy café where you can enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake, which I can honestly recommend. Sitting there with your coffee and cake, looking down at the lake far below, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. You can see the boats on the water and the mountains all around — the panorama is absolutely stunning. After that, you can take a short walk through the castle, visit the small museum, explore the souvenir shops, or taste and buy local honey and wine. Toilets are available, and there’s parking right in front of the castle, though it’s a bit pricey at around 3 € per hour. Families can get a family ticket, which is a bit cheaper. We ended up spending almost the whole day there because it’s simply beautiful — peaceful, full of history, and absolutely worth a visit. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bled.

The castle is very well preserved (it is worth paying for the access) and offers a very beautiful view over the the lake and the island. On a personal note, I think it is more spectacular on the inside. It is the best way to end a nice walk around the lake.

No drones allowed. So I don’t know how people get the arial shots. Guttenburg print press shop on site where you can customize your own print. Honey shop where you can have a honey tasting. And a fine dining restaurant where, if you reserve, can have free entrance to castle included. The castle is a fantastic vantage point to see and photograph Bled Island. However if you go late in the afternoon the sun will be in your face and the island will be in the dark.

I walked up to Bled Castle from a bath by Lake Bled. It took around 10 minutes and was mostly smooth gravel or stairs, very easy to navigate (some people were going up with prams). The castle itself is amazing. You pay to enter (16 euros at the date of my visit) and can go to various viewpoints, the museum and buy drinks and snacks to enjoy overlooking the lake. Although in peak summertime, I arrived around 8:30 (it opens at 8am) and it was so quiet meaning I could take all the pictures I wanted, wander around, and grab the best seat to chill for a few hours.

Brilliant views of lake Bled, there is a small very old wine shop where you can do wine tasting and also buy unique great wines from the region. Bottled right in front of you by a really friendly host who has great stories to tell. Lovely wine too. There are Cafés and restaurants if you want to grab a quick bite. Parking is right below the castle. The views alone are worth the price of the ticket

Amazing experience but plan ahead! Vintgar Gorge is absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit! I highly recommend buying your ticket online in advance, it saves a lot of time. If you’re coming by car, parking is free, but be careful: the first parking lot is paid and doesn’t belong to the gorge. Drive a bit further to the second parking area, where staff will guide you where to park. From there, an electric shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes and takes you directly to the gorge entrance (cars are not allowed beyond this point, only motorcycles or bikes). ⚠️ Important: your ticket is only valid for the 20-minute time slot shown on it, the gate opens only during that time! 💧 There’s also a free restroom available at the entrance. All in all, very well organized and the nature is breathtaking, a must-see when visiting Bled! 🇸🇮💚

Nice atmosphere and worth of visiting. Tickets required. If bought in advance through the internet, you can park directly at the entrance. If you want to buy tickets on site, you need to drive couple km back to the central parking where the ticket office is located. From central parking free shuttle would drive you at the entrance...

We did the full round trip at Soteska Vintgar and loved it. From Bled we took the bus to the Vintgar starting point, and after the walk we returned to Bled with the same bus - included in the ticket price. Tickets for the trip can be bought online. Buses run every 15–20 minutes, and you can also start from the Vintgar parking if you come by car. The whole experience took around 3 hours. The trail goes along the river, through the forest and meadows. The gorge is stunning, with wooden paths above crystal-clear water and the sound of the river all around. Peaceful, fresh, and absolutely worth the visit.

Very beautiful gorge! We took the guided tour which is available everyday at 4 pm. Highly recommend taking this tour if you would like to listen and understand a bit of the history of the gorge. Our guide Domen was very kind and helpful. He took us through the longest but most beautiful trail through the gorge. The trail has a bit of an incline climb but the absolutely worth the view if you are up for a little hike. He also got some Slovenian herbal tea for us to have after the hike which was very thoughtful 😊

A truly beautiful gorge. We were here in October and it was wonderfully peaceful. The gorge is truly stunning, well worth the effort. We explored the gorge with our guide, "Jan," and it's highly recommended! Jan is an experienced, enthusiastic, and friendly guide. Most beautiful hike (intermediate) we did in the area. Views are mesmerizing and there are options for a small and a big one. Can walk across the forest or along the river on the way back.

The gorge is beautiful and a great experience, also for children. It’s important to spend some time reading the website beforehand to understand how to get there, the different route options, and other important details. It’s a very organized site, and preparation really helps to make the most of the visit. For families – you can pick up a booklet with activity accessories for kids at the entrance booth. Most of the activities are set along the return trail through the forest and the scenic viewpoint over the valley pn the way back. Our kids (ages 9 and 6) absolutely loved this experience! At the end, they received a small souvenir. We completed the trail in about two and a half hours and walked fairly quickly because we were worried about missing the last bus back to the parking area at the end of the day (buses run until 20:00, then shuttle vans until 21:00 – we visited in July). On the way back, as you exit the forest, there’s a restaurant with a well-maintained playground. It looks like a great place to stop, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time because we were in a rush.

Parking ticket for the daily is 10euros if you park close by the hiking trail entrance. The waterfalls are so nice!!! to get to the top is 55 min . It’s totally worth it! They also have amazing food and drinks at entrance!

Difficult to describe views, waterfalls, green pastures, snow a5 the top, and glacier at the top. We visited in August, and the day started with rain, by the time we arrived, delayed by heavy rain, it was nice and clear but the temperature had dropped to 8c, so you most be prepared for all weather conditions.

An outstanding trip. Initially put out by the 45€ toll fee to enter the road but in the end very much worth it. Parking was free at each point though we did have to wait at times to get a space especially at the popular spots. We spent all day up there. Finished up at Kaiser-Franz-Josef glacier. Kudos to all the cyclists making the route.

It’s the most beautiful road I’ve ever driven. The views of the Alpine mountains are breathtaking. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely drive this road. I would love to do it again myself.

Road - route by car. Starting point: Kritania. Full of stopping points along the road, there are several additional points. Highest point 2571 meters. Bird of prey observation. Lake observation. There are also hiking trails, but you need to organize yourself. When we entered the road, the temperature was 18 degrees, clear. And we started the route, the temperature dropped to 3.5 degrees (depending on the vehicle). Light rain and heavy fog (slow driving) but possible. A very special experience, crazy views. Full of stopping points for snacks and drinks. Exhibition at the visitor center. Cost 45 euros per vehicle. A beautiful, special route.

Driving through the Grossglockner High Alpine Road is one of the most breathtaking experiences in Austria. The road takes you through stunning landscapes of snow-capped mountains and green valleys, making it a perfect destination for nature and photography lovers. The route is very well organized with plenty of stops offering panoramic viewpoints, small restaurants, and nature museums that share information about the wildlife and the Alps. From several points you can clearly see the glacier – an absolutely unforgettable sight. The journey can take several hours and you can easily spend a whole day exploring. The best time to visit is during summer when the road is fully open and the weather is ideal.

the road is great, the view is awesome. but be aware that there is a LOT of traffic. cars, tourist busses, motobikes, roadbikes. even on workdays. and be aware that there are lots of people in sportscars who mistake this wonderful road for a racetrack. still 5/5 for the view if you ignore the masses of people and the wannabe racers.

There are simply no words to describe it – it's absolutely beautiful. We’ve hit the perfect timing: warm weather, yet still plenty of snow up in the mountains. Just fantastic! Breathtaking landscapes, stunning peaks, and wonderfully fresh air.

It's worth every penny you spend to reach here. It is a skiing heaven, but there is plenty to do if you don't ski as well. It is pretty easy to access the summit via cable cars and views were breathtaking. There is a small tunnel museum at the top along with a cafe. Easy parking at the bottom and it is free.

The top is reachable by taking 3 cable cars and the view is breathtaking everywhere. The price for the ascent and descent fares (54.5 euros for adult with guestcard) is very low for what this place has to offer. Definitely worth visiting.

Amazing gletscher, consisting of 3 jets. The highest top is 3000. I had fantastic ski week. The slopes are well maintained, not crowded, a lot of different lifts, . Would go again

Must try experience. First timer. Didn't have time to look around during the fly. To exciting, adrenaline high,tiers in my eyes ( glasses recommended). Would go second time for sure. More relaxed now. My equipment was put by the instructor the wrong way . Noticed just before my fly. Double check as only one instructor did the job for 20 people. Staff is nice and polite with adults and children.

It was fun but, I wasn't allowed to ride with the flying coaster because of overweight, even so I didn't get any refund. There is no possibility to buy tickets on site, you can only book online. What if you don't have any scale in your hotel room? I payed 26 euro more for nothing. I think it's not a customer friendly service.

The experience was absolutely amazing, excellent, and fun! At first, I only bought the Zipline ticket and skipped the Flying Coaster, but once I got there and started enjoying it so much, I decided to go for the full experience and paid for the Flying Coaster at the check-in counter. All the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and explained everything clearly. However, the older lady at the exit (responsible for the photos) was quite rude. When we asked her about our photos because we wanted to print them, she told us to go outside, check the screen, and come back with the number. When I returned and said I couldn’t find our photo, she was very unfriendly and said, “I don’t know your photo number, and I don’t have time to look for it!” Aside from this one staff member, the entire experience was wonderful and definitely worth it.

When entering the web site they put at the end on the main page, after! The purchase button that there's a weight limit. A normal person will never see this. We just lost a ton of money and precious time. Also the lady at the counter was no where close to being understanding. These guys are not worth your money

Zipline is great adventure. Strongly recommended. It looks more terrifying than it is in reality when you are on the ride. The roller coaster after that is terrible however. I advise against it. It pulls you with force into unpredictable directions and you need all your arms to counter it. However the kids liked it.

The waterfalls were beautiful, but the hike itself is quite challenging, with only steep paths. Along the way there are several viewpoints where you can enjoy stunning views of the falls, but the view from the top was actually a bit disappointing. Reaching the top is more about the feeling of accomplishment than the view itself. It’s a very touristy spot, with several nice souvenir shops to browse.

A beautiful place worth visiting, suitable for young and old, but you should wear heavy clothes because the weather is cold. Although it was July, the weather was still quite cold, and I recommend wearing a waterproof jacket and comfortable athletic shoes.

Waterfalls are spectacular! So many great views and places where you can almost touch them. Wish to had more time to explore Krimml trails on the top of the waterfalls.

One of the best activities to do in that area, the entrance was easy either by cash or card automatic machines, the hike is clean but not easy, the slopes are harsh in some places so better ready. Keep moving and you’ll find yourself in an ooen space with the sound of the waterfalls sit relax and enjoy

On our journey from Sell am See to Tirol we took the scenic mountain pass to stop off at Europe’s largest waterfall. Despite being height of summer season we could still easily park and make our way to the falls. The route is well made. No need for walking boots. We didn’t get all the way to the top - we stopped at about half way. Some great photos of the fall and the landscape.

What a great experience. The tour is very entertaining with a lot of facts, fun and adventure. You have to walk a fair amount of stairs. Visitors receive special clothes and can learn a lot about salt in general and about the process of the extraction as well. In the price of 43€ per person is included also the viewpoint, mine tour both in English and Deutsch, slides and a funicular ride in both directions. I totally recommend it! It is really worth it.

Salzwelten Hallstatt & Shop @ Hallstatt 🧂⛏️🇦🇹 🗓️ Visited: Saturday, 9 AM I made an online reservation for the Salzwelten Hallstatt tour and arrived early for the 9 AM slot—an excellent choice, as the morning was quieter and more relaxed. The visit begins with a scenic funicular ride up the hillside, giving beautiful lake views before reaching the mine entrance. The guided tour takes you deep into the historic salt tunnels, past centuries-old wooden pipelines, mining tools, and fascinating multimedia displays. Highlights included sliding down the traditional wooden miners’ slides and seeing the sparkling underground salt lake—absolutely magical. The mix of history, geology, and interactive fun made it a truly memorable experience. After the tour, I browsed the Salzwelten Shop for local gifts—gourmet Hallstatt salt, salt-infused chocolates, cosmetics, and decorative souvenirs. Everything felt unique and tied to the village’s heritage. 💡 The whole tour is worth the price! An absolute must-try if you’re visiting Hallstatt. 🧭 Tip: Book online in advance and go in the morning for a calmer, more spacious experience during the tour.

It is truly a very unique experience. You get to see how salt was extracted thousand years ago, and how it is being extracted nowadays. Furthermore, the guides are very experienced giving very important information about all the places you get to see, while large wooden slides are available for some fun.

Super fun experience for all who are visiting hallstatt! Tickets and reservation not available online, so u need to purchase them from the base funicular station. The staff will inform you when is the next tour starting, so you just gotta head up in advance via the funicular (which was pretty fast). Each tour is about 43 pax so make sure to queue or plan ahead! i thought that the group size was too big as even though the facilities inside could accomodate this group, there was a lot of unnecessary waiting around and people at the back could not hear what the guide was saying at each station, despite her already close to shouting. The cave was huge, but the time to explore or take photos at each station is very short. The staff will switch off the light within 5mins and people at the back usually dont get much chances to take pics by the time we reach the station. However, the caves were still pretty cool and we really enjoyed the 2 slides! We also got to take a train out of the salt mine via a really narrow tunnel and that was exhilarating. Overall the tour was about 1 and a half hours. The last tour is at 3.40pm, which means u can still catch the last funicular down after you complete the tour.

The tour was a great experience with lots of fun parts. The tour included fun slides and videos. We received special clothing to safely slide down the rides. The tour starts deep into the mine, where they explain the history of the mine and how they extract the salt. We had a great guide called Jakob, making the tour not only informative but also entertaining. However, the light show was an utter disaster- I could have made better. In addition the pricing what a little expensive.

It isn’t a cheap trip - but overall, I am glad we visited the Hallstatt Salt Mine. You have to dress in the protective clothing of the salt miners before you start the tour and backpacks must be left in lockers and reclaimed at the tour’s end. The tour itself took around an hour. You get to ride on two wooden miners’ slides during the trip which is good fun. At the second slide, your speed is recorded as you pass the camera positioned to catch all the fun. We managed to clock up only a miserable 11 kilometres per hour compared to our guide’s winning score of 28.6 kilometres per hour. You also get to ride on the miners’ train back at the end which makes a nice finale. Inside the cave, it is interesting to see the salt deposits up close. Various informative movies are played as you walk through the mine and you get a good feel for the 7,000 year history of salt mining in this part of Austria. Salt is a good preservative, so the Salt Mine is an archeological treasure trove. Towards the end of the tour, you get to see the oldest European evidence of a wooden staircase. Check opening times before you visit as the site is very popular, the only access is via the funicular and numbers are strictly limited. You need to allow 3 hours or so for the whole trip. We just wanted to see how beautiful these crystals display. We did not buy anything from them, too bad for them. But the way they arranged their display, even on the way to exit, they enticed visitors with various pricing range to make sure that they would get something from them. Nevertheless, it's still worth a visit to see various crystals, such ones in marvel movies, Donald Duck etc. The display at ground floor (first enter) is €€€ above but the ones at 2nd floor is more affordable and attractive.

Crystals are everywhere and epic things which made up of crystals. Watching all this gives calmness to my eyes but my heart says buy something😜 from Swarovski. I saw not only one dress which wore by Ananya pande but also many other things and characters from Disney. Totally worth it.

The staff were so nice! I bought a ring yesterday but realised it was too big once i cut off the rubber that tied it to the packaging. So i headed in to exchange my ring today. The exchange process was really easy and the staff were happy to help. I went in with my ring in M size, the original packaging and the receipt. And i tried on the S size ring with the help of a staff. Then i just brought the S size ring to the cashier and explained the need for a change in size. The exchange was super quick, took less than 10 mins altogether! Really thankful for the experienced staff and the helpful service!

Königssee is stunning! Clear emerald water, surrounded by mountains – a true paradise. The boat ride and echo experience are unforgettable, and St. Bartholomä looks like a postcard. Best to go early to avoid crowds.

One of the most beautiful lakes in Germany! The emerald water and mountain views are just breathtaking. You can take a boat trip, walk along the shore, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. Everything is very well organized with good facilities and parking nearby. A must-see if you’re in Bavaria! 🚤🌲💚

The most unforgettable palce in Germany. I visited this place in October. You can take boat and hearing the horn sounds while taking the boat to explore the lake view.

This was our second visit to Königssee after eight years – and the lake still amazes us just as much ☺️ The boat ride is a fantastic experience – maybe not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. On the way, the guide explains everything in both German and English, and one of the highlights is when they play the trumpet and the sound echoes back beautifully from the mountains – a truly unique moment. We recommend stopping at St. Bartholomä, and then continuing by boat to Salet, from where you can walk to Obersee and further to Röthbachfall, Germany’s highest waterfall. The scenery along the way is absolutely stunning – Königssee is one of those places you’ll always want to return to.

No doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Bavaria, a boat ride across the lake and lunch on the far side. The location is extremely popular, the parking area alone is huge, I imagine it serves other activity points as well. Very touristy on the approach to the ferry jetties, loads of souvenir shops and restaurants/ food outlets. Around lunchtime boats leave every five minutes, we had no waiting time, we bought a ticket and hopped straight onto the next ferry. Everything was highly efficient. Loved it.

I love this lake, a lake for Kings with breathtaking view, clear water, majestic landscape and sustainable tourism development,… it is worthy to explore and immerse yourself in nature.

Expensive but worth the trip! The bus is a little confusing, but you have to take the city (838) bus to the Dokumentation station and then buy a tour bus pass to get to the top. 838 drops you off and picks you up from the same area. Convenient! Costs around 11.50Euro for round trip from the main station to the tour station. Keep your ticket for the return. Can also just buy a one-way ticket. We went middle of October. Snow was VERY slippery (and wet) so bring good shoes or walking poles. Was cold but not super cold. Thumbs up if this review helped you! :)

We were surrounded by clouds going up the mountain, but once we went up the elevator, it was clear skies and beautiful. The house is a restaurant which i did not go to. You can climb a little bit of the mountain and take breathtaking pictures.

Great experience and amazing views!!! If you go when there is snow, expect no treatment on paths could be very treacherous. Would do it again for sure!!! Restaurant was very good also, would eat there again. You need to park then take a bus up to elevator.

A must to go ,the special built buses will take you up the narrow path and the scene from the bus on the way up is something one must experience for themselves. Everyone will be guided into a tunnel where a lift will take you all the way up to the Nest. U will be able to have some snacks at the coffee house when u reach the top.

This is a very cool place to visit. It’s great that such a historical place has remained largely unchanged since construction. Even if you’re not interested in World War II history, the site offers fantastic views assuming the weather is cooperative. We had a nice lunch in the restaurant and I hope to visit again with clearer weather.

A very good experience. The bus trip up and down is excellent, it makes you appreciate the work involved to create the road in such a short time period. The views from the top are just phenomenal.

Must see and worth the 15 min electrical bus drive up mountain. Spectacular views. Terrible history but worth remembering all of us to have this never happen again. In the sun-gallery there is some information on the site and history.

Very nice fortress overlooking the city of Salzburg. You get some magnificent view from up there. You also have the opportunity to got to the top of the fortress and get a full 360 degree view of the region. They have some nice museums and displays inside the fortress. Definitely worth it to spend some good amount of time. Even if you are here for short time, it would recommend 1.5hr just to walk through the entire area.

Bought the entrance and funicular train ticket and it's a enjoyable trip up the hill to the castle. Plenty of stuff to see in the fortress and also great view of Salzburg city from the top of the castle. Really beautiful scenery and we don't want to leave but had to rush to find the train station as we need to catch the 12pm Hallstatt tour.

We visited the Fortress Hohensalzburg and had a memorable experience. We didn’t know about the funicular to go up, so we walked all the way — a great cardio workout and a nice way to enjoy the surroundings. 🏰 The fortress itself is beautiful and very well preserved, offering a fascinating glimpse into Salzburg’s history. The museum inside is truly impressive, with excellent exhibits that make the visit even more enriching. 🌄 The highlight, however, is the breathtaking view from the top. Looking out over Salzburg and the surrounding mountains is simply unforgettable. ✅ Overall, Fortress Hohensalzburg is a must-see attraction in Salzburg. Whether you take the funicular or walk up, the combination of history, architecture, and stunning scenery makes it well worth the visit.

Truly beautiful, must see spot in Salzburg. Definitely recommend the panaromic view from the fortress tower. We unfortunately hadn’t visited neither the museum nor the armory, but we enjoyed it anyway. We really appreciated the stand where we could get for ourselves some Glühwein and simply enjoy the beautiful night view.

We thought there would be more spaces that were open for tours, but the tour was still good. The restaurant in the fortress was great! Service was great as well as the food and we enjoyed as much as we could eat as the portion sizes were large.

This is a fascinating site. There are many things to see in this historic place. Be prepared for some step climbing to get the very best views. We enjoyed learning all the history about the Fortress. There are rooms full of interesting items dating from ancient times to modern life.

Amazing castle and exhibition. Everything is modern, interactive and multisensory. Truly a nice example of the basic of how exhibitions today should look like. Plus the ticket's price is also very okay. 100% recommend buying tickets in advance though, there was a super long queue when buying on the spot.

The gardens are magnificent. Symmetry and colors are combined in beautiful compositions. Access to the gardens is free. The palace itself is also free, but there is nothing to see. Access is only to the staircase, which is magnificent, but it is disappointing that there is no access to the halls. We only managed to peek into one.

It's a really beautiful and popular place in Salzburg that everyone have to see. The gardens are stunning and you can enjoy sitting around and taking photos. There are also classical music concerts there, which are definitely a must-see if you love this genre!

Even in late October, without all the flowers, the gardens are well kept and beautiful. I’m a huge fan of the dwarf garden! Very fun, though not PC (bc history is not PC) statues in there! Worth a walk through and FREE. The only part of the palace that was accessible was the marble staircase area—I believe it had a real name. Pretty, but the gardens are better!

Nice walk around the gardens with the memorable views of the Sound of Music. There were three weddings going on at the same time. Seems the palace was closed for visitors today. Loaded with tourists parties there for the same reason as us no doubt.

Even though it was rainy a lot, the sculptures at the outskirts of the palace and the gardens inside were pretty. The cobblestone ground was a bit swampy and uncomfortable to walk, but anyway I bet it'd be fascinating to revisit there on sunny days.

Spectacular visit to this Schloss -- really needs half a day. The ferry ride across the See is pleasant and calm, the breezes are refreshing on a warm summer day. Great to learn the history and experience the charm of this beautiful setting.

Fabulous palace on an island in Lake Chiemsee. This is a great place to see the extravagance of Ludwig II. It offers a peak into his obsession with French royalty and his lavish tastes. The palace and gardens are fantastic. (No photos allowed inside, which is a bummer.)

Magnificent, and rich interiors. If the king hadn't lived in his dream project for more than a handful days, so does it not deserve to be visited more than once in my life time. Palace guided Tour is about 40 minutes. No photography allowed strictly! This is what I didn't like the most. It's worth the hype and not worth the hype at the same time. Palace looks big, but only 1/3 of it was finished and is available for visitors. Removing 1 star for a strict no-pictures policy. The mountain view is beautiful ❤️

Lake Helen Kim Palace is a magnificent palace modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France. It is a Baroque building. In winter, flocks of geese and ducks graze on the lake, and strolling through the woods on the island offers stunning views of the vibrant autumn foliage.

You have to buy entry Ticket to see the interior Palace with a guide. Taking picture inside of d palace it's not allowed, just outside it's possible. You have to pay extra when u need to go to the 🚻 & it was not cheap!

This is a really pretty palace and a great history lesson for people who don’t know much about kind Ludwig II. The palace itself is whacky and lavish and the gardens, fountains, and exterior are beautiful and scenic. The island has some great walking paths and is a fun outing. The boat there and back also has pretty views and runs fairly consistently. Keep in mind that the price of the boat and the palace entrance/tour are a separate price, the palace ticket does give you access to quite a bit though. The only reason it’s a 4 star review is that you can’t take pictures inside the palace which is a little disappointing but not a huge deal. Overall this is a great stop but does take some time.

There was a lot of exhibits to see and it was nice to have listening stations throughout For English as well. There were some hands on experiences, I was hoping for some more and looking for something a bit more interactive. There was a very wide variety of things to see throughout a journey through history. Overall a nice experience.

It's a vast general museum, encompassing everything not covered in the art and antique museums. Currently half of it is under renovation, but the open part is big enough to keep you busy for a long time. I focused mainly on the air and space aspect, nice collection of vintage and more modern planes, some of the very first rockets including a V2, and a very nice floor on spaceships. I also enjoyed the section on coding. I checked out photography, printing and musical instruments before my time ran out. It was a solid 3 hours. Overall it is good, not necessarily a must-see if you are first time visitor to Munich pressed on time.

A wonderful place to visit with children. The museum offers a great experience, and the restaurant–café on the roof is definitely worth a stop. The river view at sunset is stunning — the sunlight shimmering on the water creates a beautiful scene. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop on your way out for some nice souvenirs.

It is a great museum with literally any type of science in it. It is definitely a must go and you would regret it if you didn't.

This is, without a doubt, the best place in Munich. It's a massive, beautiful urban park that feels like a world away from the city. You could easily spend an entire day here relaxing, walking, or watching the surfers.

The BMW Museum in Munich is a must-visit; especially if you love cars and design. The building itself is modern and impressive; showcasing the brand’s history from classic models to future innovations. The exhibits are beautifully organized; each section tells a clear story with amazing visuals and interactive displays. You can see everything from vintage BMWs to new ones up close. It’s clean, well-run, and easy to explore. Definitely one of the best car museums in the world.

Great experience. So they have a combination of a Car showroom and the Museum. The Museum is divided into Rooms with numbers marked and different categories of cars and bikes. The entire power train portion has very nice engines to see from Aircrafts to marine, etc. m Must Visit

So, if you like cars its a must stop in München, I would highly recommend you to buy your tickets before arriving, it can get a bit full if you dont plan in advanced, the Museum has free lockers so its also a big benefit. Also in the museum is card only ( weird for being Germany) but a great thing to know. Theres different types of tours available and also shops. In the other side of the museum ( crossing the bridge) theres BMW Welt which is also nice and free

Well laid out and easy to navigate the museum. I bought tickets on my phone as i walked up to the building but there are also koisks inside. There are free lockers for small/medium bags and a jacket. There is a small Cafe with sandwiches, salad, pizza, drinks and coffee. If your thing is cars, motorcycles, airplanes, motors or just BMW in general this is a must see.

Really interesting museum, that is showing history of this brand. A lot of interesting cars and other artefacts. For me there was really interesting engine cut-outs, where You can see, how motor is operating. Most of descriptions is available in english language.

St. Peter’s Cathedral is absolutely breathtaking. The Gothic architecture is stunning, with soaring spires, intricate stonework, and beautiful stained glass windows that create a peaceful, awe-inspiring atmosphere inside. It’s hard not to be impressed by the history and craftsmanship. Even if you’re not typically into churches, this one is worth the stop. It’s right in the heart of Regensburg, so very easy to visit while exploring the old town. Highly recommend taking a few quiet moments inside—truly a highlight of the city.

Massive pure Gernan gothic church that was built from the end of the 13th to the beginning of the 16th century using the architecture of French cathedrals as an example. The inside is dark and has beautiful details like the silver altar. The stained glass windows from the 13th and 14th century are impressive and the most extensive, still preserved, collection of medieval stained glass in the German-speaking world. An interesting detail was a large waterwell with a hoist and bucket inside the church which was used as a secure source of water for the clergy, cathedral staff and cleaning.

The cathedral is truly impressive! A magnificent structure that’s hundreds of years old. I can’t even say whether I liked it more from the outside or the inside. Every day in summer, the organ plays at noon, it’s absolutely amazing! An architectural masterpiece that definitely deserves attention. The only downside is that the exterior has been under renovation for many years.

Learned so much about German history from our Viking excursion to Regensburg Cathedral. Stepping into this medieval masterpiece, we were instantly awed by its towering Gothic architecture and the sheer scale of the place. The amazing stained glass windows, glowing with centuries-old craftsmanship, were absolutely breathtaking. Our guide wove fascinating tales about the cathedral’s medieval sculptures and its historical significance as a key center of Christianity in Europe, making the past feel alive and vibrant. The world’s largest hanging organ was a true marvel, suspended like something out of a dream, and its presence added to the cathedral’s awe-inspiring atmosphere. Learning about the Regensburg bishopric’s influence gave us a deeper appreciation for the city’s role in shaping European history. This cathedral is a must-see for anyone visiting Regensburg—its beauty and stories will leave you speechless. Highly recommend making time for this incredible landmark!

Great experience. Today was the 75 anniversary of Caritas and St. Josef Hospital celebrated with bishop Rudolf and former cathedral choir member (Regensburger Domspatzen). Usually the holy mass is starting on Sundays at 10 a.m. Be early enough there to get a place!

Our tour guide told us this cathedral is always under some kinds of construction in one form or another 🤣 While we were here the towers were in repair and there’s a choir outside make Ng beautiful music.

Diana Observation Tower is a must-see attraction in Karlovy Vary! Not only does it offer stunning panoramic views of the city and surrounding forests, but the entire area is peaceful and beautifully maintained. After enjoying the scenery from the top, you can relax at one of the lovely cafés nearby — a perfect place to sip coffee, enjoy a snack, and take in the fresh mountain air. A truly delightful experience for nature lovers and travelers alike!

Well worth it. Take a lift or take a short walk. The view from the tower is absolutely fantastic. Expect heavy wind, take a jumper.

Beautiful observation tower with restaurant below and a mini zoo. You can ride the Diana funicular from Kolonáda directly to here. You can also hike the hill with 1.1 km moderate trail.

The Diana Observation Tower is one of the most beautiful spots in Karlovy Vary! The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the entire town surrounded by lush green hills. The ride up by funicular is scenic and relaxing, and there’s a lovely forest walk if you prefer hiking. The café near the tower is cozy and perfect for a short break. A must-visit place for anyone coming to Karlovy Vary!

Beautiful 360 degree view of the region. There's also a small, budget-friendly kiosk selling street food and drinks in front of the tower. If you don't have any serious limitations, I suggest getting a one-way ticket. Take the funicular up and walk down while enjoying the view. Observation tower itself is free. You pay for the funicular.

Beautiful walk, you can also owe the monorail to go up and the tower has an elevator. I drank a beer at the restaurant down. And visited the butterflies museum!

Beautiful way to look at Karlovy Vary. Keep in mind that during fall/winter times fog is a quite often guest so you won't see much till around midday. Worth visiting, free and well-maintained observation point with a restaurant nearby

This Is the most amazing zoo I've ever been to. It's so big with the kids. We could only see a portion of it, but the jungle experience especially with the boat ride was so cool. All of the exhibits are wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone to visit the zoo. Easily one of the best zoos in the world.

Leipzig Zoo is one of the best zoos I‘ve ever visited. Large enclosures. Many events throughout the day. Amazing infrastructure (you can find maps, sign posts, and directions for a tour that leads you through the entire zoo everywhere). They also don’t solely focus on the animals as mere entertainment but seek to inform kids in playful ways about preservation/biology/even physics in the aquarium. Leipzig Zoo also provides a variety of restaurants and snack bars that are evenly distributed across the entire Zoo. I wholly recommend visiting, whether alone or with friends and family. It’s an amazing and informative experience!

Best zoo in Germany especially with huge greenhouse of tropical forest and self moving boats along river with warm climate. Highly recommended for both adults and children alike

This zoo park was fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone. There is so much to see and you should have water with you because food and water prices there is too expensive. WC is free which is very good. And I suggest you guys to go early there, zoo opens at 9 am and closes at 7pm. As I mentioned earlier there is lot to see so you probably will need some rest. And one good thing about this zoo park is that you see animals without any borders and it is kind of crazy but it is safe. So enjoy with your trip everyone.

Zoo Leipzig is a great place to visit with kids. The grounds are very clean with almost no smell, and there are nice play and climbing facilities for children. A fun and family-friendly zoo experience!

This zoo is arguably the best in Europe. The animals have the freedom to roam, creating a more natural environment, and plenty of dining options are available. Don’t miss the chance to watch the monkeys and explore Gondwanaland. It's truly a fantastic spot for some quality time with your children.

Beautiful and vast city park with breath taking landscapes and architecture. Great place to spend time with friends or family. It's very huge - it may take hours or days to take every route and explore reach path located in the park. The entrance is free and there's few gates you can get through. Hard to miss if you plan to visit Postdam.

A small, cause it was the summer one, but very beautiful palace. With the ticket of 22 euros you get to visit almost all places in Potsdam. Definitely more worth it to visit in the summer time or at least while everything's still green, since the gardens are a big, important part.

Sanssouci Park is absolutely stunning! Walking through the gardens is a true delight, with so many beautiful spots to explore and photograph. The highlight for me was the Orangerieschloss! Definitely a must-see. It’s the most beautiful building in the park, with incredible architecture and charm that you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re a history lover, architecture fan, Sanssouci Park is an unforgettable experience. Truly 5 stars!

Highly recommended! If You going there - I would recommend to get electric scooter if You are there for one day trip. It’s best way to see entire park in couple of hours.

A trip to the past, to the era of enlightenment and baroque architecture. Walk the halls Voltaire and Frederick the Great did. The audio tour is very good with lots of details and anecdotes. Take your time to roam the parks and don’t miss the Chinese house.

Spectacular day trip for sure 😃

Beautiful and vast city park with breath taking landscapes and architecture. Great place to spend time with friends or family. It's very huge - it may take hours or days to take every route and explore reach path located in the park. The entrance is free and there's few gates you can get through. Hard to miss if you plan to visit Postdam.

A small, cause it was the summer one, but very beautiful palace. With the ticket of 22 euros you get to visit almost all places in Potsdam. Definitely more worth it to visit in the summer time or at least while everything's still green, since the gardens are a big, important part.

Sanssouci Park is absolutely stunning! Walking through the gardens is a true delight, with so many beautiful spots to explore and photograph. The highlight for me was the Orangerieschloss! Definitely a must-see. It’s the most beautiful building in the park, with incredible architecture and charm that you won’t want to miss. Whether you’re a history lover, architecture fan, Sanssouci Park is an unforgettable experience. Truly 5 stars!

Highly recommended! If You going there - I would recommend to get electric scooter if You are there for one day trip. It’s best way to see entire park in couple of hours.

A trip to the past, to the era of enlightenment and baroque architecture. Walk the halls Voltaire and Frederick the Great did. The audio tour is very good with lots of details and anecdotes. Take your time to roam the parks and don’t miss the Chinese house.

A shopping passage, (hands-on)-art gallery, the Upside Down Museum and much much more can be found here. Great place to spend some unplanned time. Indoor and outdoor.

Very well organized. You can walk around and you will find malls and other food studios. This is a square and you don’t need tickets for anything

Fun spot with a lot going on. There are plenty of shopping options and places to eat. And easy to get to with the subway system and a lot of options to head to other areas from there.

We had a great time visiting the Berlin Wall exhibit near Bahnhof Potsdamer Platz. It was a powerful and educational experience, especially sharing it with the kids. Seeing the actual remnants of the Wall sparked some meaningful conversations about history, freedom, and unity. The displays around the site are very informative, with photos and facts that helped us understand the significance of this area during the Cold War. We learned how Potsdamer Platz was once a desolate “no-man’s land” and is now a vibrant part of the city — such a striking transformation! It’s a quick stop, but packed with history. A great way to introduce kids to this important piece of the past while enjoying all the excitement Berlin has to offer nearby. Highly recommend!

Iconic land mark with exhibits of the old Berlin Wall, large transport station for many lines, also close to Berlin mall and many restaurants.

Following reunification, the area was redeveloped into a premier urban quarter featuring shopping, dining, cinemas, offices, and green spaces designed by architects including Renzo Piano. Interesting architecture mixed with various arts 🤩

Very interesting, however not every animal was actually there to see. Some species of monkeys were not present. But monkeys are monkeys I guess. The cutest were the Pandas. The coolest was walking inside the cage where they kept some vultures and Owls. The nearly extinct sumatra tiger is the most interesting for me because fewer than 400 of them remain. I recommend you buy the tickets online on their website!

Berlin Zoo is a great day activity for families with kids. The place is beautiful, stroller friendly, with in door and outdoor displays. The stars of the show were the Pandas and the Penguin enclosure. Our toddlers also enjoyed watching the seals play in the waters.

I had an amazing time visiting the Berlin Zoo. It’s one of the most impressive and well-organized zoos I’ve ever been to. The variety of animals is outstanding — from giant pandas and big cats to exotic birds and unique species you rarely see elsewhere. Each enclosure is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed to resemble the animals’ natural habitats. The zoo is also beautifully landscaped, making it a pleasure to walk around. There are plenty of shaded paths, resting areas, and great spots for families with children. The staff are friendly and always ready to share interesting facts about the animals. Overall, the Berlin Zoo offers a wonderful experience for visitors of all ages. It’s educational, entertaining, and truly memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Berlin!

This is the best zoo I’ve seen so far. Exploring it takes at least 4–5 hours. And if you’re planning to visit the aquarium as well, it will take almost a full day. Make sure not to leave without seeing the pandas.

My spouse and I recently visited Berlin Zoo, and while we really enjoyed seeing animals whose populations are declining worldwide—and animals that we, as humans, normally wouldn’t have the chance to see in their natural habitats—there were several things that left us disappointed. A large number of the birds were kept indoors and out of sight due to the cold weather, which is completely understandable, but still unfortunate for visitors. The reptiles and invertebrates section, which is one of the three main parts of the aquarium, was entirely closed because of renovations. Besides that, several other large areas of the zoo were also closed and inaccessible for the same reason. Despite all this, and without clear prior information, we paid nearly 70 euros for two people on a weekday, which left us quite upset. I strongly believe that by paying this amount, we deserved to experience the entire park—otherwise, the ticket price should have been lower.

The zoo was beautiful, very well designed, and we really loved it. Even though it was raining, it was still super comfortable, with plenty of impressive indoor areas. Highly recommended!

The most beautiful Zoo that my husband and I have visited. 🥰 It's really huge. 😁 You need to reserve a whole day for the excursion. Unfortunately, we didn't have that time. 😓 Because this Zoo has really beautiful enclosures for the animals. The animals are in the best condition. They are really happy. 😌😍 The workers takes very good care of the entire Zoo. We liked everything here. 😍 Unfortunately, we're sorry that we didn't see everything. However, the price for admission is good and acceptable.👍😊

It was very informative with a cheap audio guide (roughly €3. 50). Entry is free. It's not very easy to find your way there if you're using public transport. Google Maps took us in via an office complex and police headquarters (the old SS training camp, I believe). It's got a lot of information in the different rooms with a lot of reading, although plenty of different languages are catered for. A lot of the main areas to visit have been restored or rebuilt and it's hard to gauge the conditions of the time. It does seem to be a work in progress to restore everything and add extra sections. Some of the interactive exhibits didn't seem to work which would be troublesome for those who needed audio guidance. The computers we were using at one point just all turned off. I would recommend it but it needs a full day and plenty of energy for all of the walking and some stamina for the reading. I think they offer guided tours but I'm not certain.

This is an amazing place and a must see. Its part of our world's history. The Nazis were so cruel. I was so upset when I visited today at the hurt and pain the Jews suffered in the concentration camps. May they all rest in peace now.

A profoundly moving and essential memorial. The Sachsenhausen Memorial & Museum is thoughtfully curated, offering deep insight into both the Nazi concentration camp and post-war Soviet use. The exhibitions, preserved buildings, and memorials are powerful and respectful. A must-visit for anyone seeking to understand this history.

Ok visit, but not that many original details still there which makes it more difficult to grasp the extent of the horror, especially for our teens. I don't want to say it's necessary to have the horrific details around, but to me it does bring a tangible message across for next generations, to make sure it never happens again.

It is a really good place to go and learn about our past and to educate ourselves. Admission and audio guide are free.

We did this tour when we visited Berlin for a few days in March. As a history lover this was right up my street. We did this with a guide Campbell who was very knowledgeable. The tour itself was very informative, with a range of information boards and material to read through at your leisure. Very moving place to visit. Would recommend a visit if you enjoy history
