It was the first island that we went to in our day-trip. The weather was nice and the environment was really pleasant.
The view was really nice and the air was fresh. It is a small island and it takes you little time to run through all the island. The gardens were pretty nice and the birds and peacocks gave a nice touch to it. The only thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the palace, which was kind of meh (not that interesting). We later sat down and sunbathed while chit-chatting, a good company makes everything much better :)

Isola Madre is absolutely stunning and worth visiting. It offers a peaceful atmosphere with its historic palace, beautiful gardens full of rare plants and Indian peacocks. The experience was relaxing and enjoyable, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. Highly recommended, especially in the morning for the best views and weather.
Lovely island in the middle of lake Maggiore which is a perfect example of how humans and nature can live together. The palace itself it's a great example of the Italian baroque. While the garden showcases many varieties of exotic plants and flowers. One of the most impressive is the Japanese cypressum behind the villa. I really loved also the peacocks and the fagians strolling around the park and used to the human presence
A beautiful garden to visit. Enjoyed the birds, and the palace has some interesting rooms to see. But found it a bit overpriced vs. Isola Bella or Villa Taranto. A useful tip: come to visit by the closing hours, after 16h, so you avoid the crowds on the boats, and no waiting lines when you leave the island.

Really worth visiting but it's a long uphill walk. Great exercise and you can treat yourself to a drink or food when you reach the top if you think you've lost lots of calories on the way up. Lots of history, beautiful views. Finding a car parking space was a challenge but definitely worth the effort & stress.
Sacro Monte is a world class experience not yet overrun by tourism, and unbelievably its free! The hour's walk from the carpark reveals the story of Jesus through 14 chapels with life sized vignettes created centuries ago. It gets steep in parts but there is a pebbled path the whole way. The view from the top is a fitting reward. A vernacular is available for those who are physically challenged. Catch the C Bus from Varese to Prima Capella (end destination). Pay 1.60 euros on board with coins or card.
Just breathtaking. It's a holy town, a destination for pilgrimages for people around, and it's full of history and charmingly picturesque. I felt like Alice in Wonderland, walking through the winding stepped streets, finding its hidden secrets. We have driven all the way up by car, but beware, the parking is very limited, there might be around 50 parking spaces max for visitors. And the vistas from the top overlook the landscape for 20km around, it's magical!
Great place to visit for the views & history. We got the bus (Line C) up from Varese town centre to the top of the hill then took the funicular up to Sacro Monte itself. Gorgeous views out over the hills, lakes & Varese itself. Lots of historic buildings & churches at the top.
We walked back down the pilgrimage route passing the 14 chapels/shrines along the way. Well worth a visit.
Stunning Sacro Monte di Varese, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we explore its beautiful chapels and breathtaking views.
The Path of the Chapels is an uphill climb of about 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles), though it feels much longer when you are walking it, as it zig-zags you up by 245 meters (about 804 ft.) and can be a little steep in places. Each chapel is frescoed inside, and sometimes outside, and filled with sculptures illustrating scenes from Jesus’ life.
Amazing, dramatic - yet not too taxing - climb up via 14 elegant 17thC chapels on wide path to reach spectacular hilltop village based around convent. Incredible views across Varese lakes and heavily wooded hills and valleys. Stunning.

Very interesting. But what I would like is a MAP of the figures on the OUTSIDE of this structure. Clearly there are some very unique figures (not usually seen on churches), like Pliny the Younger. I would like to know more about the why each of these figures/animals were chosen and why they were placed in their current location. The construction of this Cathedral was begun in 1396 and over 300 years combined Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. What is interesting is that the cathedral in Milan was just begun 10 years before. There is a timeline of events related to the Cathedral di Sant Maria Assunta, is located inside, which is informative.
I was surprised by this duomo. It is very well preserved and has an interesting way of keeping the parishioners and tourists separated while not strongly impacting either.
This is the only catholic church I have been in that has the old style offering candles. Finally, make sure to take in the ceiling. The use of blue is rare.
This cathedral is one of the most beautiful for sure I have ever seen. You can enter inside for free and also you can admire its beauty from the cafe across it. Order an aperol and enjoy stunning view. Dolce far niente 🇮🇹
The cathedral is within walking distance from the train station. It is open to tourists for praying and picture taking M-S. You can get closer to the altar past the rope to pray only. Beautiful church!

The Duomo di Como is a beautiful cathedral with a mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The outside is impressive, and the square around it makes it even more special. Inside, the stained glass windows, frescoes, and intricate decorations are amazing – I could stay for hours just admiring every detail. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the art. Definitely a must-visit in Como!

Admission fee? - comparable to a cinema ticket (swiss standard). Know the difference: It‘s not a zoo, it‘s a falconry.

Amazing show. Learned a lot about the history of falconry, and enjoyed the birds from a very near distance (had one even on my head). Highly recommended half day trip! Also, the pizza in the bistro tasted fantastic and was very reasonably priced.
A beautiful show of various birds of prey flying within inches of the audience. It was entertaining as well as educational. It is clear that the handlers/trainers love these animals very much.
If you'd like to see birds of prey flying up close this is a great place for that experience.
If seeing animals in captivity is something that triggers you, then you may consider not going.
The show is really cool. Like you have the Hawks and Eagles literally flying cm over your head.
The food is solid but not spectacular.

One if the best experiences we had as a family visiting Bergamo, its a must if you like animal parks. The animals was in great condition very clean in great areas and well taken care of.
We came on a rainy day but the place is so nice we didn't even notice. I saw some animals for the first time in my life that live in tropical areas. We had only one hour to visit but it was not enough to see everything. We will come back for sure.
Luckly found this zoo when trying to find things to do in the area while on holiday. What a surprise. Very cheap at €24 to get in and was huge. All animals were in good condition and the enclosure were top notch. So much to see and do while there. Definitely worth a visit. To get there we got a 2 buses and then walked about 20 mins. So not really easy accessible if dont have a car but is do able.
This is an amazing zoo! Good selection of animals. Lot of trees and plants. Clean spaces for animals. Great idea regarding safari train for kids and giraffe feeding. You will see more animals in state owned zoos but it is hard to beat the experience you can have here.
This is a really cool place! It’s a bit hard to reach from Bergamo if you don’t have a car, but not impossible. There’s quite a large variety of animals, some of them in really nice habitats (like the exotic birds). There are many restaurants and places where you can eat your own food, even some playgrounds for kids. There’s a train that takes you around the place and it costs €2. It was not very crowded when we arrived, but we visited on a Saturday at 5PM. By the way, the ticked is €18 if you arrive 3 hours before closing (and 3 hours is more than enough if you don’t have young children).
Indeed, some spaces are small for the animals (like the elephants, rhinos, or the big cats) and they looked quite sad. Not necessarily not cared for, but a bit depressy.
In my opinion, it’s a really cool place, with lots of animals and if you visit Bergamo, it’s definitely not to be missed!

Villa Carlotta is a stunning 17th-century villa located on the shores of Lake Como, near the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. The villa boasts beautiful gardens and a remarkable botanical park with an impressive variety of rhododendrons and azaleas. Commissioned by Marquis Giorgio II Clerici, it features a neoclassical style with works by renowned artists such as Canova, Tiepolo, and Hayez.
Took the train to Varenna, then the boat and got off at Lenno. From Lenno we hiked to the villa following the lake shore (approx 4 km) This is a great hike, easy to make and not exhaustive. The only caveat is that there is a section of the hike that follows the road. Visited on Monday. Started with the gardens as there was a storm cloud on the lake and wanted to cover the gardens and move inside if the rain moved onto the place. The gardens are extensive and beautiful. The rhododendrons were in peak bloom (mid May). The Villa itself is also impressive, well curated and maintained. Overall a great small museum as a time capsule ot a different era.
The cafeteria has gelato, panini and excellent beer. What else do you need beyond that.
We entered the museum at 3:00 pm and left just after 6:pm. The combined ticket for the gardens and the villa is €15/p. Good value.

Nice museum with several exhibits. Also has gorgeous views of lake como. There is also a restaurant to grab some lunch. It was not crowded when we visited also there was no line to buy tickets. Worthwhile visiting the villa.
An absolute architectural, botanical and historical marvel of the last 500 years. The grounds of the villa are absolutely gorgeous - fountains sculptures, and perfectly manicured floral heaven. The garden is truly remarkable with how much variety of plants there are and also the way it's been maintained. For the building itself, nothing short of extraordinary - the design and architecture is impressive. There is so much history and craftsmanship behind this place.
Inside and out Villa Carlotta was a joy to visit. We loved the art work inside the villa. Be sure o look up as many of the rooms are adorned with frescos and or reliefs. The grounds are a botanical wonder with species brought in from around the world.
Must see! Great place to visit, beatiful inside, many sculpture, paintings few rooms with furniture with very great conditions. Amaizing garden around, it takes 2-3 hours to visit and see all villa and garden. Beautyful view from balcony for Como lake.
Beautiful villa with stunning lake views and lush gardens. The inside has some impressive art and sculptures, but the real highlight is walking through the gardens, peaceful and scenic, a perfect spot to slow down and take in the beauty of Lake Como.
Lovely visit especially enjoyed the extensive gardens, agricultural history and interactive commentary in our language about basement life at the Villa. Reasonable €15 entrance (€13 for over 65s) Luggage lockers were helpful.
Bistro service for 2 hot drinks was slow on the day(20/8/25) as they seemed short-staffed.
I have no words. Grand, classy, green. Bamboo plants, very tropical. The great beauty of a sea of over 150 species of plants. All this is combined with the view of Lake Como, which is open from almost every point of Villa Carlotta.

There’s entrance near the port, very easy to walk to this place.
We did not buy the ticket in advance since we saw the notice in the booking website that we need to be in line to get ticket anyway. Luckily, there was no queue, I believe because we visited during weekday in the afternoon (Oct 6). Not too many people there. Recommend!

It’s a very beautiful garden right on the lake. I don’t mind paying 10€ just to walk through the park because it does take some work to maintain the garden.
It’s a nice place, there’s a museum too. However you cannot enter the main villa and it’s just not that amazing overall. It’s still a great place to be away from the touristy centro of Bellagio

Every path reveals something new—ancient trees, vibrant flowers, classical statues, and breathtaking views of the lake. The atmosphere is serene and elegant, perfect for a relaxing stroll or quiet reflection.
The neoclassical villa adds a timeless charm, and the small museum and chapel offer fascinating historical insight. The combination of nature, art, and history is truly unique. It felt like walking through a living painting.

Absolutely stunning valley with crystal-clear emerald waters and breathtaking mountain views. A perfect place for hiking, swimming, or just relaxing in nature. One of the most beautiful spots in Switzerland – highly recommended!
A wonderful place. Great for a short and cold swim. There are also very nice hiking roots. The water is freezing year-round.
Next to the main parking area there’s an amazing old bridge crossing the stream, and some great pools. There are also more shallow places where children can go inside.
A hidden gem in Ticino! The rocks have amazing patterns and the water is crystal clear. Sadly, we went in November and couldn’t swim. Definitely looking forward for a summer visit to the beautiful valley.
This was the most incredible fresh water ravines I've ever been to. So much so, it was the highlight of my month travelling Europe.
As always the Swiss morals of cleanliness and respect were upheld and there was no litter or trash ruining the views. The water was mesmerising, the weather intoxicating and the general surroundings simply incredible.
The bus journey up the mountain was cheap and easily accessible, leaving you with various options of drop off. I chose to get of slightly early, to enjoy a hike to the water. Prior warning, despite the summer sun, the water is very cold.
In various places there were signs that warned of currents / dangers and even lifeguards present. These areas however, were very sparse and you should make sure the area is safe before you swim.
Beautiful views attract admirers, so you can understand why there are usually a lot of people - you might want to get there earlier to get a nice spot.
Finally, I saw a snake drop onto a guy sleeping under a rock ledge and while I've never laughed so much in my life... be careful.
Water is cold but refreshing on a hot summer day. Can be crowded depending where you are but it is fun and beautiful! You can even jump from a bridge into the water.
Wonderful place for a long walk in the nature. The river color is almost unreal. Not a very difficult trail and perfect for hot summer days. We walked from Lavertezzo to Brionne and it took approximately 2 h.

The tour guide was attentive and spoke perfect English. Our group consisted of two English speakers and two Italians, and the guide ensured everyone understood the information, answering questions and providing clarifications.
Those suggesting lowering the price for a solid hour of a personal tour, priced at 8 EUR per person, are simply missing the value of a remarkably well-maintained and significant moment. It’s a reminder that some people will find reasons to complain about anything.
While I wish I could respond directly to the comments, I see that the owner is doing an excellent job addressing them.
The pictures are great, but to truly appreciate the tour, you need to hear the guide and experience it in person. Asking your own questions enhances the experience.

What a wonderful find in Colico! We didn't really know about this fort until we got to Colico, but I'm so glad we decided to visit it. Our guide Luke was wonderful, truly enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, and very friendly and charming. Apparently we were the only ones visiting the fort that day, so full marks to him for doing such a brilliant job of the tour when we were the last and only tour of the day. I know this is highly rated here, but I still think it's not very well known and it should be! The working canon is amazing, the entire site is very well maintained, and the signs are in Italian, English and German. Luke spoke fluent English and made the whole experience very interesting. Highly recommended!
The guided tour is very interesting! The guide was very knowledgeable, and told us a lot of interesting facts about the fort. The cannons are well-preserved and still move, which was very cool to see.
I learned a lot of war-history that I did not know yet, and the tour made it really come alive. The views are also great from the roof of the fortress, definitively worth a visit!

Did this hike with my friends and although I did find it challenging at points with regular breaks it’s not only very doable but simply beautiful (keep in mind I hadn’t hiked in years at that point). Lovely views and even a spot for a swim right at the top for those who are brave enough to face the chilly waters!
Magnificent high waterfall. You can walk directly up to the waterfall but before you should take off your clothes unless you are completely wet. It's possible to swim in the river. There is a huge paid parking nearby.
every time I visit chiavenna I always pass by the cascate. they’re so beautiful in winter or summer. recently I’ve been doing some of the hikes that you can find behind the waterfall which continue up alongside it and let me say it’s definitely worth it. you can find many pools near the summit for a quick dip in summer and in winter the serenity is amazing and the running water is a great soundtrack to accompany your hike. recommended 10/10 experience. brought my friends from australia with me the most recent time I did the hike and they also loved it. we swam in the spot in the second photo but beware even in peak summer the water is freezing (worth it though)

Beautiful lake to spend time by. It was so calm and silent here. We came around about 4-30 pm in the evening in September. It was empty, just saw a few people walking around. We sat here had some food and enjoyed the whole atmosphere! Clean air and calm vibes. Lovely to spend time here. The temperature was also so perfect to enjoy.
The lake in St. Moritz is not one of the larger lakes. Now that we are in August, it is hard to imagine what it is like here when the lake freezes, people are skating and supposedly horse races are even held on the lake! It is very nice to walk along the lake and enjoy watching the ducks. They are smaller and darker than the ducks I know.
Had a pleasant stroll around the lake, it was a windy but sunny day, we stopped by to watch the ducks and had our sandwiches on one of the benches. Amazing view of the lake and the mountains in autumn setting 🧡

Nice views, good mtb-trails and if necessary the personal will load your bike on the chairlift.
Be aware of the air slurping bicycle pump in the valley station (im shure it will be fixed soon :-) ). I then could inflate my tire in the nearby bikeshop.
There are also biketools and a bikewashing station to use for free.

In the winter months perfect skiing while in the summer this side of the mountain is reserved for mountain biking. There are few hiking trails but not as fun as mountain biking.
It says open u til 5pm. Arrived 447 at the lift and they said they are shut already. It is misleading information - if last up is 445 then opening hours should state 445. Better half of the bike park is closed and half of the village is in construction this year… would recommend to head to sölden instead. Shame as the new lift would make riding much more pleasant without having to manoeuvre every time not to damage forks and frames.
Very, very nice Bikepark. A lot of Enduro and Downhill Trails. The expert trails are really for experts. The black-lines and some red-lines are very demanding. I love the Mottolino Fun Mountain and I‘ll be back for sure.

However, we were really disappointed to find out (a bit too late) that the butterfly house has different opening hours from the rest of the park. I can bet it is the most beautiful places I have visited. For the tulips, instead of visiting Keukenhof, this is a better place. Surrounded by nature, play gyms for kids, animals where kids can even feed the goats was a holistic experience. We went with our 2months old baby and it was quite smooth. There were ramps everywhere. Accessibility was not a challenge. The tulips were beautiful. There were other flower exhibitions as well indoors. A must visit for everyone!!!!! The connectivity via ships is also very smooth and timely. We went from Meersberg to Mainau.

I visited the Ulm Minster on my birthday and it was such a special experience. The structure is absolutely breathtaking – you can’t help but be amazed by how tall and detailed it is. I found out it’s actually the tallest church in the world, with a spire reaching about 161 meters high! It took several centuries to complete, starting in the 14th century and finally finishing in the late 1800s.
Walking around the cathedral, I was blown away by the gothic architecture and how well-preserved everything is. The inside is peaceful and beautiful, and just standing there made me feel so small in the best way. I didn’t climb the tower this time, but even from the outside, it’s super impressive.
If you’re ever in Ulm, you must visit this place. It made my birthday truly memorable. Totally worth it! 😊

Every nice church. This church has the tallest tower in the world. You can pay 7 Euros and walk all the way to the top. Please ensure that you are semi fit....it is a long and winding staircase of over 750 steps. But the view is worth it. They are currently doing some restorations to the church so please bear with the noise.
Ulm Minster is breathtaking both inside and out. The Gothic architecture is incredibly detailed, and the interior is full of history — especially the 15th-century choir stalls with their intricate wood carvings. The highlight, of course, is climbing the tallest church spire in the world. It’s 768 steps up a narrow staircase, but the panoramic view over the city and, on clear days, even the Alps, makes it worth every step.
Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful and bright, with beautiful stained-glass windows and an impressive organ. The Münsterplatz around the church is also lively, with cafés and markets (the Christmas market here is fantastic).
Be prepared: the tower climb is steep and not for everyone, but if you can manage it, it’s unforgettable.
Overall, Ulm Minster is one of Germany’s greatest landmarks. Highly recommended!

Ulm Minster is an awe-inspiring masterpiece of Gothic architecture and holds the distinction of having the 2nd tallest church tower in the world. Standing at 161.53 meters. It's interior is very impressive and magnificent with stained glass window and majestic Hall.
Ulm Minster is an absolute must-see — not only for its record-breaking spire, but also for the sense of calm and beauty it offers. It’s very easy to reach, just a short and pleasant walk from Ulm’s main train station through the charming old town.
When I visited, there was some ongoing renovation work, with padding and scaffolding around the front and upper sections, which did slightly spoil the full view of the façade. However, the minor distraction did not take away from the overall experience — once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. The city’s noise fades away, replaced by a deep sense of peace and stillness.
Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a quiet moment of reflection, Ulm Minster is a beautiful and easily accessible place to visit.

We had an amazing time at LEGOLAND Germany! The whole family enjoyed it from start to finish. October was a perfect time to visit—great weather and fun Halloween decorations throughout the park added to the magic.
There were rides for all ages, and the kids especially loved the playgrounds and interactive areas. One of the smartest features: dedicated play zones near some of the rides so kids can stay entertained while adults wait in line—brilliant!
The park layout is very manageable—flat and easy to walk without feeling exhausting. Bathrooms were accessible and food prices weren’t too crazy for a theme park, which was a pleasant surprise.
All around, a fun and memorable family day. We’ll definitely be back (got the annual pass)!

A very successful experience for children aged 4-12. A large place with lots of options that are very difficult to complete in one day due to the long lines for most of the facilities. You have to arrive with a lot of patience. Overall, this is a park where the attractions themselves are not crazy, but the "wrapping" of Lego does its job. The place is very neat and clean and easy to navigate. Overall, this is a recommended day out for the family.
This is in my opinion the best of the 3 Legoland parks in Europe. Everything is good value here, especially the food and the quality of said food is fantastic. I went into the pizza restaurant and paid around €16 for a fresh out of the oven pizza and amazing chocolate tart. They both felt like they came from an expensive restaurant, very tasty and beautiful presentation.
You have the best selection of rides here from small to thrilling. A really good variety - the best being Maximus. An absolutely thrilling b&m coaster which despite the short ride time, offers some incredible moments of weightlessness.
The park is kept tidy and clean - the bathrooms are cleaned very regularly. Queues are managed well and have the bonus of single rider if you're a lone traveller like me. Saves a lot of time.
Theres a few little themed shops dotted around and although a couple were closed on my trip due to the time of year possibly, there's still a lot on offer. More than any other Lego park in Europe like I said.
I had the best 2 days here and I can't wait to come back again.
We took the kids to Germany and our first stop before traditional castles and museums was Legoland Germany! We LOVED it. Drove straight from airport to the hotel (we stayed at the Pirate Hotel), checked in, then did a full afternoon and evening till close. We ate at the steak restaurant near hotels and onsite for snacks, lunch, etc. We prepaid for breakfast at Pirate hotel. Because of birthdays, we did the birthday package (they decorated the room and more) and because tip mattered we did the VIP package. THIS was worth every penny! We skipped the line at every ride, got extra swag & mini figures, and store discounts [don’t forget to ask for tax refund forms at the store (typically 100 or more spent)]. The staff are awesome and most are bilingual if you are rusty. If you are a LEGO fan or traveling Germany with kids, this place is worth every penny! For the super fans, they had themes we found no where else (e.g. adventure series at the log ride); and rides that are not found at the US Legolands. Augsburg and Ulm are nearby if you need a culture/ museum break.
We spent lovely 2days here, great experience for us, adults and our kids. We had lovely weather, so a lot of people arrived, and some attractions were crowded, and we had to wait. Luckily it was just occasionally. Plus was Halloween decorations and products that can bring home🎃🎃 Thank you, will come again.
Great place for young kids . We spent one day there , 2 would have been better as we didn’t see everything. Very reasonable as once you pay all the rides are free . Ideal kids age 5-12.
An absolute dream holiday location for my family and I. My son and daughter loved it, the rides were great, food was good and queues were decent. Staff were very friendly, parking wasn't an issue and having Peppa Pig Park right next door made it ideal for my 2 year old daughter too! It was also great fun for my wife and I. Unforgettable memories were made and we cannot wait to visit once again!
If you or your kids like LEGO then you must visit, the place is huge and there are a lot of activities for all ages. To really cover it you need at least 2 days to get on most of the rides. The only downside is the large ques that form so you don't like to wait a lot then maybe pay more for the express pass. You can also get tickets online for both the park and the parking which I recommend to save some time.

Quite a sight to behold from the outside, more so on the inside. Only a €2.50 entry fee for adults to enter the Goldener Saal (Golden Hall), which is very impressive. You can also visit a couple of informative exhibitions for free on the ground floor, including a brief history of Augsburg.
Wow. The golden room is definitely worth visiting.

The history of this over 450 years old building is fascinating, and how it survived and was rebuilt after WW2.
The staff dis knowledgeable and super helpful with any questions when visiting. They even offer a folder in English or Spanish for international visitors.
The "golden saal" or the golden hall inside is beautiful and amazing. The entrance fee is cheap especially if you are student, anyway to enter the rathaus is free. You will also have a good view of the square down below from the hall.
Must go inside - build outside looks like any other - but inside it’s amazing. Definitely on list to see

The apartments are tiny and cozy, and it’s cool to see how people lived here for the past hundreds of years and so. Keep in mind though that people still live there!
There’s also a few little museums inside some of the residences that go over the story of how the place started, how they lived, struggles, etc. As well as a bunker that you can explore.
Definitely worth a quick visit if you’re in Augsburg!

Went on a Augsburg Fugger Tour. Last stop was the Fuggerei. Have always been curious about it and it's history. Quite amazing that it still exists till this day an age and functioning the same way it always has. Absolutely incredible. The grounds are extremely well kept and just a beautiful part of living history.
Must go when you visit Augsburg.
After the tour you can also visit tiny beer garden by the entrance.
Really cool to hear about how this social housing was started. The people can live here for €1 per year, and just have to be Catholic, pray everyday, and be in need.

It was a wonderful experience visiting the world’s oldest public housing. We went on a weekday morning, and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful, which made exploring even more enjoyable. Purchasing the ticket at the entrance was simple, and the site itself was easy to navigate.

I visited The Fuggerei on two different trips, once in 2010 and then again in 2023. It's a neat experience with in Augsburg and i definitely recommend checking it out. The history here is interesting for sure and the architecture in germany in general always amazes me. I would recommend tickets in advance, although was not busy when we went. My aunt had picked them up ahead of time for us.

If you’re nearby and curious, stop by for the bunker, but otherwise, it’s probably not worth going out of your way.

I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the feeling of stepping back in time. The houses and small museums provide a wonderful glimpse into old life, and everything is well organized for visitors. Highly recommended when in Augsburg.

The Spitalturm, also known as the Hospital Tower, is the newest and tallest structure among the city fortifications of Rothenburg. Built between 1360 and 1380, it bears the inscription "Pax intrantibus, salus exeuntibus" which means "Peace to those who enter, greet those who leave.
The walk around the town walls is great to do around sunset, it wasn't very busy whilst we walked the walls and gave great views of the Rothenberg rooftops. Whilst walking the walls look out for names on stones that are set into the walls, these are the names of people from around the world that have brought a section of the wall to help fund the restoration and upkeep of the town. Walking the walls is free to do so well worth a visit!

We visited the Audi Museum today and it was outstanding! First, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Very helpful as well. The museum spans 3 floors. It covers the entire history of Audi with amazing cars that date back to the beginning. The cars on display are unreal. They also have motorcycles and some military vehicles. They also have a gift shop in the museum and another gift shop in one of the show rooms. We took the train from Munich and a short bus ride to the museum. Bus stop is right in front of the museum. Cost to enter is €5 per person which is an amazing price for this museum. We had a great time and loved our visit. Highly recommend!

A Must-Visit for Car Enthusiasts: Audi Forum Experience!
The Audi Forum was a truly nice experience and a definite highlight for any car enthusiast!
I absolutely loved the design of the building – it's an architectural marvel in itself. The showrooms were fantastic, showcasing an incredible range of cars that were a joy to explore. Just seeing all those vehicles up close was captivating.
I highly recommend visiting! My only regret is not being able to do the factory tour, as it seems you need to buy tickets well in advance, perhaps even weeks ahead, so plan accordingly if that's on your list.
Despite missing the factory tour, the overall experience was highly recommended!

A very nice museum for autotomotive fans, with dozens of Audi models on display, and quite a bit of historic information and context. It's not as big or impressive as Mercedes or BMW's museums, but still great nontheless, with fewer crowds and also cheaper.
The Audi museum is much quieter than the bmw, mercedes, and Porsche museums that I also visited on this trip. It's slightly more substantial than the Porsche museum and similar to the bmw, except like the Porsche museum they let you get closer to the cars.
The people here are much nicer than at the bmw, and for just 5€ entry you also get free parking. Factory tour is 9€ extra. Much better experience than the bmw museum and welt. Almost makes you want to buy another Audi, even though my old A8 gave me nightmares.
Also 10% discount at their restaurant, which is well priced unlike some other places.

The Imperial Castle of Nuremberg, also known as Kaiserburg, is a majestic 11th-century castle complex that includes a royal palace and gardens. Perched on a sandstone cliff overlooking the city, it is divided into three parts: the imperial castle Kaiserburg, noble buildings in Burggrafenburg, and other structures to the east in stadtische Burganlage.
One of the most well kept castles for its size and age. Not a lot of English info so prepare to get the audio guide if you want to know more about the castle. Had fun climbing the tower and the views of Nuremberg were unmatched!

One of the iconic castles of Germany, with loads of imperial connections, and well worth braving the rather steep ascent (the views are great, too). Part of the fortifications that lure you up are actually the city wall, not the castle proper, but the overall effect is what counts. If you are spendthrift, skip the castle interior (interesting, but nor overwhelming), and definitely do not eat there (much better value can be found around the nearby Dürerhaus or in town).
Definitely worth the price of admission. Lots of walking so wear good shoes. Make sure to check out the bridge near the bus drop-off point for the best view. No photography once you are inside. The castle is fabulous. There are bathrooms and a small Cafe inside. Get there early to avoid the crowd.

The climb up gives you a bit of a sweat, but totally worth it once you reach the top — the scenery is amazing. Perfect spot for photos and enjoying the old-town vibe from above.
From other reviews, didn't believe there'd be a lot of items to see in the museum. Was very surprised at the amount of historical items and information provided. The views of the city were fantastic along with the historic background. Very easy walk even inside the museum and inner grounds. I highly recommend to anyone visiting.

The Imperial Castle is the symbol of Nuremberg. Since the Middle Ages its silhouette has represented the power and importance of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation and the outstanding role of the imperial city of Nuremberg.
From 1050 to 1571, all Holy Roman Emperors resided – at least temporarily – in the Imperial Castle. An archeological exploration of the grounds of the castle has revealed remains of a fortress.

At the entrance, a welcoming entrance with an airy crypt with heating. On the first floor there was a film that explains the entire history from the origins in the early 1800s to the present day. Viewing is recommended. Then you climb up to the first internal cornice, which is very overhanging. You then climb to the upper floors, and then you reach the first external cornice located under the feet of the statues that can be seen from outside. You can take the elevator up to that level. From there, you climb to the highest part of the building with a very narrow but well-made stone staircase. A visit is recommended to better understand the history of the city.

This intense and impressive monument is a MUST SEE if you are in Leipzig. The scale is stunning and is reminiscent of the Mines of Moria in Lord of the Rings. There are multiple lifts but if you want to get to the top viewing area, you have to use the stairs and it is a little walk. No bad, but most people emerged a little winded and sweaty. The sweeping views of Leipzig are great and, if you go on a sunny day, you can see many miles/kilometers in every direction. Highly recommended.
A really impressive monument. It really makes you feel the enormity of the event being memorialized much like the World War I monument in Kansas City. There was a feeling of heaviness about the monument and it made me feel retrospective. A very nice visit. A stroll through the cemetery nextdoor is also warranted.
the monument to the battle of the nations in leipzig is a massive, seriously impressive monument commemorating napoleon's defeat in the 1813 battle. it's one of europe's largest, and you can climb to the top for panoramic views of leipzig. inside, the huge stone figures are really powerful. it's a bit outside the city center but easily reached by tram and definitely worth a visit for its history and scale

The animals are surprisingly close, and there’s an amazing variety – I saw species I’d never even heard of before. There are plenty of spots to grab food or a drink along the way, which makes the whole visit super chill. The highlight for me was the tropical hall *Gondwanaland* – a huge indoor rainforest with its own climate. It’s seriously impressive and makes the whole experience feel really unique.

This Is the most amazing zoo I've ever been to. It's so big with the kids. We could only see a portion of it, but the jungle experience especially with the boat ride was so cool. All of the exhibits are wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone to visit the zoo. Easily one of the best zoos in the world.

Leipzig Zoo is one of the best zoos I‘ve ever visited. Large enclosures. Many events throughout the day. Amazing infrastructure (you can find maps, sign posts, and directions for a tour that leads you through the entire zoo everywhere).
They also don’t solely focus on the animals as mere entertainment but seek to inform kids in playful ways about preservation/biology/even physics in the aquarium.
Leipzig Zoo also provides a variety of restaurants and snack bars that are evenly distributed across the entire Zoo.
I wholly recommend visiting, whether alone or with friends and family. It’s an amazing and informative experience!

This zoo park was fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone. There is so much to see and you should have water with you because food and water prices there is too expensive. WC is free which is very good. And I suggest you guys to go early there, zoo opens at 9 am and closes at 7pm. As I mentioned earlier there is lot to see so you probably will need some rest. And one good thing about this zoo park is that you see animals without any borders and it is kind of crazy but it is safe. So enjoy with your trip everyone.

So far the nicest Bahnhof I've seen in Germany, always busy with people passing through and people just coming to shop. As it houses so many great stores to shop in over 3 levels with so many things to see and amazing food options. You can't come to leipzig without seeing it as it is the main train station. Even made more lovely around Christmas or as they say Weinachten, as lots more food stalls open up.

Very well prepared exhibition with many resources and interest g forms of exhibition. Entrance is free so is the car park. Highly recommend, also as a picturesque nature spot at the lake.

A visit to the Wannsee Villa is highly recommended. This historic site, where the Final Solution of the Holocaust was planned, offers a deeply informative and compelling museum experience. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and a serene lake, the setting adds a peaceful contrast to the weight of its history. It’s an important place to learn, reflect, and remember.
For me it was spinechilling to walk around the mansion where the famous conference was held. The park and the mansion is very attractive inside there is an exhibit with a lot of documents, photos. Upstairs you can find a huge library with a lot of books on holocaust. I would definitely suggest visiting this place. Entrance is free.
When I visited, meeting room was being cleaned, so I couldn’t see it, but it’s worthseeing - very informative and thought provoking about the world we live in today. Such a peaceful place and yet such horrible plans were structured in it. Sarcasm, German humor, call what do you want.
It’s beautiful. It’s hard to imagine of how a place with dark history look beautiful. Anyway, dark things don’t only happen in dark places but also in bright places gardens flourish and flowers blossom.
