They also answer questions and help you understand the exhibits better if you’re curious. Right opposite the museum is the Army Parade Ground, where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It’s a great spot to rest after exploring the museum – calm, clean, and scenic. The history of GR is well brought out from British officers to Indian officers. 2 VICTORIA CROSS . HEAPS OF DSO , DESPATCH , VrC , AC , etc. Photos of Pak weapons and siezed weapons displayed, old style uniforms , .....A must see if u r an Indian. No photography allowed, strictly.

Bhulla Taal is a small, artificial lake surrounded by lush greenery it’s clean, peaceful, and nice for a short outing. Apart from the lake with ducks and fish (fish feed is available for ₹10), they also have rabbits, hamsters, and some birds, which kids and animal lovers will enjoy. The ticket prices are quite high ₹250 per person including boating, which feels expensive for what’s offered. Without boating, it’s ₹100, and defence personnel are charged ₹50, which is reasonable. They also have archery, a trampoline, and swings, which are extra ₹100 each, and kids really seem to enjoy them. There’s free parking, which is convenient, but overall, while the place is pleasant for a brief visit, the pricing could be more reasonable.

So, it can quickly add up and may not feel entirely worth the price. The lake and its surroundings are clean, well-maintained, and quite peaceful. It's a pretty place to relax for a while, click some pictures, or enjoy a quiet boat ride. But the experience is fairly limited, and the overall vibe doesn’t quite justify the entry fee. Parking is also limited and chargeable, which is another downside. Overall, it’s good for a one-time visit if you’re in Lansdowne, but not a must-see destination. If you’ve already experienced more vibrant or scenic spots like those in Nainital, Bhulla Lake might feel underwhelming.

Bhulla Taal is a small lake in the middle of Lansdowne, it offers good views with decent flora and fauna, Pedal boat rides are 100 rs. Extra for 15 minutes. Please note that sometimes it can get crowded and then you will not be enjoying the views, I personally felt that there were many areas of improvement in the maintenance of the lake. The authorities, along with collecting the ticket money should also improve on the amenities and the overall maintenance of the park. Other activities inside the park are chargeable separately like archery. Over all it's a good experience if you have nothing else to do in Lansdowne.

This view point is really good you can see a lot of moutain range from here (another small view point is at the right side of St. Marry Church ) look for it.. since its a popular spot it is always crowded cos people take time to reach here and then stay there for a while there is ticket of Rs. 30 per person its like a reward point in lansdowne there is restaurant around it so you can eat and sit for a while

Recommended visit time needed approx 2hrs. Costs for foreigners is 1200 rupi. Located in a white corner of the mountain. Very interesting to see where the Beatles spent some time connecting to there inner self escaping all the worldly noise. You just walk around and feel the peace. Birds chirping. You see the bungalow where the Beatles stayed. You see a small gallery with a bunch of photos of the Beatles in the ashram. There is a Small canteen where you can buy drinks and lunch.

I finally visited this place on my third trip to Rishikesh. I had high expectations, but I left a bit disappointed. The road leading to the ashram is quite tricky and feels more like off-roading. There are no proper guidelines or directions about where to go first—you just end up wandering around the ashram. The place is huge, and the meditation domes made from river stones are quite interesting. Apart from that, there’s a small gallery near the canteen displaying photos from when the Beatles actually visited the ashram. Overall, I feel the ₹200 entry fee isn’t justified. With better maintenance and proper guidance, the experience would definitely be worth it.

The ruins of an old ashram in Rishikesh. You can spent around 2 hours to see it around. The stone caves for medition built of the hand picked pebbles from Ganga river is the highlight here. It's not well maintained though. It's part of s tiger reserve now.

Beautiful place. You will get some amazing pictures in your gallery after the visit. Prefer the winter season to enjoy it more.little huts looks beautiful and view of ganga river is good. Full network area , washroom at entry point and drinking water too. Carry your aadhar card for entry .

It's actually the chauras kutiya near Janki Jhula , and timings are till 3pm so one should know this everywhere it's mentioned incorrect, which wasted our time. Also there is a very- damn- best - beautiful view point at the end of the trail. You will reach there just go till the last. Bring physical ids, adhaar and student id.

Looking for the perfect spot to relax a while around the Gange river, then this is something I would suggest. Just near the Ram Ghula, you would find the Ganga Mandir. Have the darshan and you would find the place where I had captured this photo.

Ram Jhula is one of the most visited places in Rishikesh. It's the way to Famous Ashrams like Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan, Beatles Ashram. Also you can go to taxi stand for Neelkanth Mahadev and also paidal marg for the same. It has beautiful ghats for Maa Ganga Snan. Very scenic in evening and night. Also breeze in the night on this bridge is very calm and serene. Best month to visit Rishikesh and Ram Jhula is October and November. Please do not litter on these Holy places. Be kind to all. I went ther recently with my friends to enjoy the weekend. We booked our hotel near ramjhula to enjoy the ganga view,also rafting and more adventure activities. As we know about ramjhula Ram Jhula is a long hanging bridge in Rishikesh built over the holy Ganga River. It connects two sides of the town and is used by people walking, cycling, and visiting temples. When you stand on the bridge, you can see the clear water, green mountains, and colorful boats. The wind feels cool and fresh. Many tourists come here every day to enjoy the calm environment. In the evening, the lights around the bridge make it look even more beautiful and peaceful. It is a famous place to visit.

The most bustling place in Rishikesh where you need to visit once you visit Rishikesh. It's the suspension bridge and most of the famous ashrams are situated on either side of the Ganges once you cross the bridge. You can enjoy boating in the Ganges also, which is near this suspension bridge. There are plenty of eateries nearby where you can have lunch or quick bites. Visit with adequate amount of time for optimum enjoyment.

Ram Jhula in Rishikesh is truly one of the most beautiful and iconic places in the city. Nice experience, Devine place, One can visit on weekends. When you will just cross Ram Jhula, turn left side (instead of right)100 meter, a beautiful view is waiting for you.you will find benches on the bank of Ganga or you go down on sand beach. Opposite to benches economic and good guest houses are available @₹700-₹3500. If you want go to some crowded place or market then turn right from Ram Jhula. There you may participate in ganga aarti, shoping, fooding, tea, coffee, etc. Yes, walking around is nice, when you reach Laxman jhula must enjoy Honey-ginger lemon tea.

Hanging bridge joints left bank of Ganga River to Right bank where Swargashram is situated. In Rishikesh it's about 500 metres long and 10 feet width. Two wheelers are strictly prohibited on this way.At the Rishikesh, when we reached at Ram Jhula,a group of 6-7 persons comes from Canada n leaded by Sandra,introduced by her to all members and talk 👄 😀 😄 😉 about their good and bitter experience in Haridwar and Rishikesh. Very calm, funny and pleasant group, so we share our journey n memories with them.

I have vitnessed almost all famous aartis of GANGAJI at Haridwar and Rishikesh during the trip but Aarti at Triveni Ghat is One of the best Gangaji Aarti I have. View of Sunset is just refreshing. And only Aarti where everyone is allowed to do Aarti at Free of cost by the management. Management themselves provide Aarti thalis to many people and they shares thalis with each other so each and everyone can enjoy and participate at Aarti. And story doesn't ends here, Bhajan starts after Aarti and surely you will get goosebumps if you have vitnessed the joy. In short don't miss it if you are visiting Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Truly one of the best spiritual experiences of my life. Felt divine and calm attending the Ganga Aarti here. Too much crowded and if you need good places to sit, consider reaching there early. After Ganga Aarti you can sit at the ghats enjoying the peace and serenity.

Its a amazing experience to see ganga aarti there. Ghat is also good and clean. Maybe ut could be little bit crowded depending on any special occasion. But still it look peaceful.

Well managed. Entry is started at 5 pm for the Arti at 6 pm. Orderly queue is started at 5. People pay to offer 'special' puja, and they're allowed to/ are conducted fpr puja before the Aarti begins. It's well choreographed. Quite a spectacle.

A very beautiful place to be if you are spiritual. Usually a must visit when the Ganga Aarti happens. Usually during winters the Aarti happens at 5.30pm however it's important that you reach there 20 minutes earlier to get the front seats.

We visited Maa Chandi Devi Temple and had a wonderful spiritual and scenic experience. We went up using the ropeway, which was truly enjoyable — the short 5-minute ride offered beautiful views of the mountains and the surrounding greenery. It felt peaceful and refreshing. After reaching the top, we took the blessings of Maa Chandi Devi, and also visited the nearby Hanuman, Anjana Mata, and Santoshi Mata temples. The place has a divine atmosphere, and the entire visit felt serene and fulfilling. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for both spiritual seekers and nature lovers. The combination of the ropeway ride and the temple’s peaceful ambiance makes it a memorable experience.

The ropeway to Chandi Devi Temple offers stunning aerial views of Haridwar, the Ganga river, and surrounding hills. The ride is smooth, safe, and takes just a few minutes to reach the top. A great experience for all age groups and totally worth it for the scenic views alone.

The temple is peaceful and worth visiting, but the overall management is poor. Ropeway waiting time is 1–2 hours and the area is overcrowded. Biggest issue is returning without your own vehicle — auto drivers refuse to go unless their big autos are full, making tourists wait for hours. Strongly recommend visiting only if you have your own transport. We recently visited Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar and while the temple itself is serene and spiritually uplifting, the overall experience left us disappointed due to poor management around the visit. To reach the temple, you need to take the tram (ropeway) service, but the waiting time is extremely long — anywhere between 1–2 hours. The starting point for the tram is overcrowded, which makes the wait even more uncomfortable. There are some small shops for souvenirs, snacks, and games, but that doesn’t balance the chaos. Once you reach the top, there is a small hike via stairway to the temple. The stairs are divided into two sides — one for going up (which is in good condition) and one for coming down (which is poorly maintained and quite difficult to walk on). All of this could still be manageable, but the biggest problem starts when you have to return to your hotel or onward destination without your own vehicle. The auto drivers outside act like goons — they refuse to take passengers unless their large autos are filled completely, or you hire the entire vehicle even if you’re a single person. When I asked small auto drivers, they said they’re afraid of the big ones as they get threatened or beaten if they pick up customers from there. We ended up waiting more than an hour just to get back, which completely ruined the experience. The temple is worth visiting, but I strongly recommend going with your own vehicle. The authorities really need to step in and resolve this transportation issue, as it’s making tourists suffer unnecessarily.

Beautifully located on the top of the mountain with Har Ki Pouri beneath it. The road ,if you go walking, is all winding and will take a long time to reach the top. There is cable car service which is pretty crowded but well organised and takes you up in minutes. The view on the way up or down is awesome, with Ganga stretching out for a very very long distance, the Har Ki Pouri, the bridges, etc you can see and the majestic mountains surrounding the area. The temple was quite crowded and people were unruly pushing and pulling, no crowd control as such. Even the darshan was difficult as people were pushing from the back. Apart from the crowd control rest is good. Jai maa Mansa Devi. 🙏

mansadevi Temple is a peaceful and beautiful place in Haridwar. The view from the top is really nice and you can go by ropeway or by walking. Water and sitting facilities are available at almost every turn which helps a lot while climbing. No photography is allowed inside the temple and there are no entry charges. A proper shoe stand is also available. The temple feels very spiritual and calm.

The cable car was a very good experience and offered good views. Keep hold of the ticket if you buy return. The temple complex is very cramped and offers no outside areas (unless you walk up??) The cable car waiting area was not full and the snack outlets in the temple were not open ,I assume it was a less than busy time so I dread to think how claustrophobic it would be when super busy! Shoe stand at entrance. Negotiating each little temple section without being dragged in easier as a westerner but do keep an eye on the rest of the group as we waited ages for" Tail End Charlie "at the the shoe stand on the way out!!

The temple is located on top of a hill accessed by a ropeway. There is some 15 minutes wait for the ropeway on crowded days. The charges are ₹190 per person and you can book ropeway for Chandi Devi temple too at a discounted package rate here. There is a sloping walkway also available. The views from the ropeway is breathtaking, but the approach to it is through narrow lanes in between houses and dilapidated structures. The Q system was good till the final steps to the temple. Then it became crowded and unruly, maybe due to Diwali week. You can buy some Prasad along the Queue which will be offered to the Goddess and given back. There is a place to keep footwear after the ropeway ride.

The place was overcrowded, which took away from its natural charm and made it hard to enjoy the serene vibe I was expecting. The rock formations and cold water are impressive, and it could be a lovely experience if you manage to go at a quiet time. But if you’re looking for a calm, reflective escape or somewhere to just breathe and soak in nature, this isn’t the best choice on busy days

After spending days in the hills, visiting Gucchipani felt like a refreshing little adventure. The place is known for its natural cave formation where a cold stream flows right through the rocks — and walking barefoot in that crystal-clear water is pure fun. As soon as I entered the narrow cave, the temperature dropped and the sound of running water echoed beautifully. Sunlight peeking through the gaps above created a magical vibe. It’s not a long trek, but every step inside feels like walking into nature’s own secret tunnel. The water was icy cold — perfect to beat the heat — and it was amazing to just sit near the waterfall at the end, dip your feet, and let the calmness sink in. Outside, there are a few small cafes serving Maggi, chai, and pakoras — the perfect mountain snack combo after the walk.

The crowd ruined the experience as there was hardly any space to truly appreciate its beauty. The cave was overcrowded, and the water flow was minimal—made worse by the number of people, making even the dirty water hard to see. The ticket price is ₹30 per person. It’s better to go on foot, as the route is not suitable for cars or other vehicles. To enjoy it properly, avoid visiting on weekends or during rainy days.

A beautiful and unique spot in Dehradun! Robbers Cave (Guchhu Pani) is perfect if you enjoy nature and a bit of adventure. Walking through the cold stream between high rock walls is an amazing experience — super refreshing, especially in summer. The place is easy to reach and has basic facilities like changing rooms, lockers, and food stalls nearby. However, it can get quite crowded on weekends and cleanliness could be better. Try to visit early morning for a calmer vibe. Avoid going during heavy rains as the water level rises quickly. Overall, a must-visit place for a short getaway or a fun day with friends and family.

It’s a good natural place to visit in Dehradun. You can walk through the natural caves in the water and if you keep walking in the end you get of caves but can still walk with the stream. There are some spots to jump in and play in the water. Near the entrance there are so many shops selling swim clothes, renting flip flops and providing locker and changing room service. It’s very popular place and hence very crowded. There is plenty of parking space but since it gets crowded it can hard to find a parking spot. I would suggest coming early in the morning to avoid the crowds and also have enough time to explore. The river can be dangerous and is prone to flash floods. Be careful in rainy season and follow the advice of the staff.

It's a very beautiful & amazing place to hang out with your loved ones. Once you enter you'll be mesmerized by it's scenery & you can take dive into the waterfalls. The ticket price is 35rs for adults but the drawback is they only accept cash no option for online, so you better carry the loose money. Entry was smooth as we went there early so there was no rush as such. You have to wear slippers because of the waterfalls. You can rent the slippers as there were many sellers. The best time to visit there is summers. Hope you all find this helpful 🙏 🙏

This is a completely useless hotel. We visited this hotel during our college trip. We called housekeeping 2 to 4 times. No one came. We had to pay extra for heater. only view was good. In taps even after turning geeser hot water was not there. So much water problem. Noone comes to clean room even after calling control desk.

10/10 place. I went there for just hanging out. The weather inside is amazing. Beautiful scenery. You can roam around the whole place. Imagine how the movies were shot there. See the rich history of the building. The pictures I shot were pure gold. There is also a ticket to enter of ₹25 and I suggest you to take your own personal vehicle there but it is not a necessity.

Visited today for darshan, ample space for large crowds in case. Kada prasad available for free and if more required you can purchase at nominal price. Lungar runs left side spacious building. Also there is ample space for car parking, only needs authorities to put sign boards for directions where to park & entry-exits. There are beautiful Yamuna river flows, you can even go down stairs having 85 steps from the gurudwara premises only to take a holy bath.

It's a holy place in Himachal . It's a WLS full of birds and natural flora n funna . Lake has a walk over of 3.5 km . You can spot few animals around ìn mini zoo. Boating for kids and adults is good . Temple to worship and for blessings . Peaceful and quite place to be with . Relax , walk and enjoy the nature . I like walk so this place is now in my visit again place . Good food is a issue here to get, but manageable. Book your hotel before leaving . Limited space available in summers and in winters it's manageable.

Being one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries of the state, Renuka Ji protects rich counts of flora and fauna. The park encloses Renuka ji Mini Zoo which is considered to be the oldest zoo in Himachal Pradesh. The zoo was set up in 1983.

The museum has six galleries, three each in two blocks. On display are stone sculptures, bronze castings, leaf etchings, miniature paintings, clay pottery and terracotta artifacts. An extension of this museum is the Multimedia Mahabharata and Gita Gallery set up by Haryana Tourism in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

Someone has put a genuine effort into collecting crafts, artworks and manuscripts that do reflect the richness of the Krishna tradition in India - as well as local archaeological efforts - unfortunately, it's barely curated and poorly captioned like every Indian museum.

I had the chance to visit Brahma Sarovar in January this year, and it was truly a beautiful and peaceful experience. The place holds immense historical and spiritual significance, yet it’s surprisingly less known among tourists. The energy here is something you feel the moment you step in. It’s serene, scenic, and deeply rooted in India’s legacy. I really hope more efforts are made to promote this hidden gem—India needs to know more about treasures like this!

A beautiful place and main attraction in Kurukshetra. It is surrounded by ghats and the land of Kurukshetra is considered holy as the war of Mahabharata was fought here. It’s calm, well-maintained and a really good place for a stroll. Would definitely recommend to visit if you’re in the city.

Online on the place's overview there were pictures of swimming pool but on booking even the best room here that is the super deluxe room, we did not get access to swimming pool. They said it is not a part of this property. They also said that the swimming pool is present only in moksha that is a 5 star place. And that we cannot have access to that even after paying. Scam!

I booked the rooms through Goibobo.. stay was very comfortable. Food was really nice and overall hospitality was really good. It is very huge property. Weather was too good. View was really awesome. The only thing missing was swimming pool..

They didn't let us eat because we reached there by car and not by ropeway. Even after requesting them to let us atleast eat something because we have been traveling for last 3 hours they refused and asked us to go immediately. Apparently their ropeway business is more important than the customers. A very very very bad experience.

We had booked valley view room with balcony to enjoy the scenery. But we were unable to do so because of the monkey menice. There were monkeys all the time in the balcony making it inaccessible for us. And to further add to nuisance they even littered the balcony and most of our time was spent in shooing them away from inside the room. Once they even tried to enter the room and take away eatables. All the hotel staff did was give us a stick and we had to stay on high alert the entire time. Poor maintainence by the hotel. This is not what were there for.

I visited Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh early morning recently, and it was a refreshing experience! This man-made lake, built in 1958 by Le Corbusier’s team, is a serene spot with calm waters reflecting the Shivalik hills. The early morning vibe was magical—cool air, chirping birds, and a stunning sunrise painting the sky. The walking path was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and I loved watching locals jogging and practicing yoga. The nearby café served tasty snacks, adding to the charm. However, some areas had litter, which slightly detracted from the beauty. Also, more benches would’ve been nice for resting. Despite these, Sukhna Lake’s tranquility and scenic views make it a lovely spot to start the day in Chandigarh.

We went in November but there were almost no Rose's flowering. So better visit in February. But very nice garden to sit and relax.

It is a very nice and big garden where you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours. Childrens play area are also there. There are lots of varities of roses from all over the world. You can scan their QR code and know more information about them. Better to visit in winters as roses are more blossoms in that season.

Very faithful and peaceful and beautiful palace. Spiritual healing and peace are the properties of the Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib, one of the most revered Gurudwaras in Punjab. Located in Lehal, a part of Patiala, it is famous for its curing properties for any ailments that anyone may be suffering from. Visitors have faith in abluting in the holy water of the pond here, because of its healing qualities. Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib's origin is tied to a villager named Bhag Ram from Lehal, who sought the blessings of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to end a mysterious plague afflicting the area. In January 1672, the Guru visited Lehal, spending time by the village pond, preaching and meditating under a banyan tree. His presence and meditation led to the plague's eradication. Consequently, the site where Guru Ji meditated came to be known as Dukhnivaran, meaning "the end of all sufferings", and this name was given to the Gurudwara. Between 1748 and 1782, Raja Amar Singh of Patiala established a garden in honour of Guru Tegh Bahadur's special visit, entrusting its care to Nihang Sikhs. Court records from 1870 mention a garden belonging to the Guru and a well, used by the Nihangs. In 1920, plans to build a railway line threatened the banyan tree where Guru Tegh Bahadur had sat, but workers refused to cut it down. Consequently, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh cancelled the project. Although a Gurudwara had not yet been built, a committee was formed in 1930 to raise funds and begin construction. Twelve years later, in 1942, the building was completed under the supervision of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh, a devout Sikh. True to its name, Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib is believed to alleviate grief for those who visit with a pure heart and offer sincere prayers.

Beautiful, humbling place. There was so much to experience from the Golden temple to the jora service to the langar service to the gold sewa workshop. The museums on-site are also there to serve as a reminder of the resilience that Sikhs have had to have to survive and become a large community. There are many gurudwaras and soravars (lakes) on-site to take amrat as well. To be able to sit under the trees that some of the Gurus had done so was also wonderful. A beautiful place to visit.

Needless to add this place is absolutely magical especially early morning between 3.30 am and 5.30 am. It is absolutely breathtaking. A must visit at that time. One can sleep later during the day. The serenity an peacefulness is something one must experience.

A divine place. I have almost zero knowledge of Sikhism. But when I stand in th3 queue for 4 hours that is when I felt the presence different energy. I have been to Kashi, Ujjain and every where u have to stand in queue. A lot of pushing touching, but here people are standing together with families but with pure energy and devotion to "Guru"🙏
