Bhulla Taal is a small, artificial lake surrounded by lush greenery it’s clean, peaceful, and nice for a short outing. Apart from the lake with ducks and fish (fish feed is available for ₹10), they also have rabbits, hamsters, and some birds, which kids and animal lovers will enjoy. The ticket prices are quite high ₹250 per person including boating, which feels expensive for what’s offered. Without boating, it’s ₹100, and defence personnel are charged ₹50, which is reasonable. They also have archery, a trampoline, and swings, which are extra ₹100 each, and kids really seem to enjoy them. There’s free parking, which is convenient, but overall, while the place is pleasant for a brief visit, the pricing could be more reasonable.

It's a pretty place to relax for a while, click some pictures, or enjoy a quiet boat ride. But the experience is fairly limited, and the overall vibe doesn’t quite justify the entry fee. Parking is also limited and chargeable, which is another downside. Overall, it’s good for a one-time visit if you’re in Lansdowne, but not a must-see destination. If you’ve already experienced more vibrant or scenic spots like those in Nainital, Bhulla Lake might feel underwhelming.

Bhulla Taal is a small lake in the middle of Lansdowne, it offers good views with decent flora and fauna, Pedal boat rides are 100 rs. Extra for 15 minutes. Please note that sometimes it can get crowded and then you will not be enjoying the views, I personally felt that there were many areas of improvement in the maintenance of the lake. The authorities, along with collecting the ticket money should also improve on the amenities and the overall maintenance of the park. Other activities inside the park are chargeable separately like archery. Over all it's a good experience if you have nothing else to do in Lansdowne.

This view point is really good you can see a lot of moutain range from here (another small view point is at the right side of St. Marry Church ) look for it.. since its a popular spot it is always crowded cos people take time to reach here and then stay there for a while there is ticket of Rs. 30 per person its like a reward point in lansdowne there is restaurant around it so you can eat and sit for a while

There’s also a telescope service (for a extra fee) that gives you a close up view of Lansdowne town and the surrounding mountains. A small cafeteria nearby serves tea, coffee, and snacks, making it a nice spot to relax while taking in the scenery. Probably the best part of Landsdowne day tour, its about 40km from Landsdowne and takes abt. 2 hours to reach, and it gets very crowded and you may have to walk a bit to reach it, if crowd is much. Although place is cool throughout the day, better to visit early in summers. its about 100m walk downhill and path is covered with corrugated sheets. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is probably the only one in the area with a statue instead of Lingam. Extremely peaceful and serene place. We went on saturday and there was a bhandara with Poori, Potato gravy and halwa, which was piping hot and wonderful. There are huge trees and few have fallen down, makes for excellent pics. this area has wild Bichoo Grass or scorpion plant, which if you brush by, will give stinging sensation for sometime (pic attached)

I visited during the Shravan month on a Monday morning around 11 am — it wasn’t crowded, which made the experience even more special. The walk to the temple is scenic, and during monsoon, the greenery makes it absolutely magical. Perfect place for peace, devotion, and connecting with nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

It's not just a religious site – it's an experience in itself. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the atmosphere here is deeply peaceful. Unlike most temples where you often find noise and crowds, here you’re greeted with silence, fresh mountain air, and the subtle sounds of nature – birds chirping, wind rustling through the trees, and distant temple bells. The setting is surreal, like something out of a Himalayan folk tale. 🚗 Reaching the temple is comfortable – the roads are in very good condition, especially for a hilly route. You can drive your car all the way to the top. The drive itself is scenic and enjoyable for those who love winding mountain roads. No issues even for family cars like Ertiga, Kia, etc. 🅿️ Parking is free, and there’s enough space available. To reach the main temple from the parking area, there is a short uphill trek through the forest. It’s not too difficult and completely worth it. As you walk through the tall trees with filtered sunlight falling on the forest floor, it feels almost meditative. The temple complex is simple, clean, and beautifully maintained. You’ll find people meditating, offering prayers, or just sitting in silence – and that’s the best part. The sense of calm and spiritual energy here is something that stays with you long after you leave. If you’re visiting Lansdowne, Tarkeshwar Mahadev is a must-add to your itinerary – whether you’re a devotee, nature lover, or just someone looking for peace. Tarkeshwar Mahadev is an ancient place situated in a valley about 30km off Lansdowne. The approach is quite scenic. We went under the impression that it was a Shiva temple but its dedicated to a saint who, in his time, fought against evil and used to punish the wrong doers. However, in an Uttarakhand Tourism inscription at the place it was mentioned that Parvati meditated here to "get Lord Shiva"! The person there told me that the place gets crowded during navraatris and there's an ashram very close by where one can stay for a few days by paying a few hundred rupees per day. There are very few eateries on the way to this place so make sure you have your own tit bits to consume. Although the ubiquitous maggie is available at the temple parking place. From the parking to the temple its a few hundred meters walk downhill. Saw an old person being taken in a wheelchair so make sure you are able to walk up and down with ease. But its not that big an issue. Just remember its a spiritual - religious place and not a touristy one. So go there for the peace and quiet, without expecting much.

The less crowded environment allowed for a more intimate and peaceful experience, making it easy to connect with the divine. The temple itself has historical significance, as it is known for its deep-rooted connection to Lord Shiva and is an important pilgrimage spot for devotees. The architecture and the surroundings resonate with spiritual energy, adding to the temple's sacred charm. *Things to know before visiting:* It’s important to dress modestly when visiting Tadkeshwar Temple. For women, covering the body with proper attire is a must, as respect for the temple's sacredness is essential. This also helps maintain the decorum of the holy site.

The history of GR is well brought out from British officers to Indian officers. 2 VICTORIA CROSS . HEAPS OF DSO , DESPATCH , VrC , AC , etc. Photos of Pak weapons and siezed weapons displayed, old style uniforms , .....A must see if u r an Indian. No photography allowed, strictly.

This church is functioning, very small church, very nicely decorated, the speciality of the church you have to remove your shoes. There is no parking place, your vehicle at a distance on road side. Take few snapout side only. Small garden out side. This charch come on the way to tip and top point, and on clear sky ice peaks of Himalayas also visible from here.

It's just beautiful. Definately one can find peace for mind, heart and eyes. Scenic view at the foothills of Himalayan range. Rest can be assured from the picture.

It's a really small old church which is I would say not maintained really well how it should be. It has been converted to a museum now. You will find a little description board about some history of the church and inside the church walls, you will find some old pictures during British era when some marriages happened during that time. This church in one the way to one of few tourist spots and so you can stop by and spend few minutes here.

Located near St Mary's church, chances are you might miss its entrance due to it being very subtle on the road side. But once you reach here, the ambience is quite classic with an amazing view outside the windows too. Food is of good quality, but priced on a higher side. A must visit for Lansdowne trip!

Absolutely loved this place! The moment I stepped in, I was blown away by the vintage decor and cozy, artistic vibe. Every corner is packed with character — from retro radios to quirky furniture and beautiful wall art, it’s like stepping into a creative time capsule. What made the experience even better? The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and served with care — I couldn’t stop eating! It gets quite busy, so I’d definitely recommend reserving a table before your visit to avoid waiting. Perfect spot to chill, have conversations, and just enjoy good vibes. Review as of June 14: This place is 200 meters from St Mary's church. It is definitely a must visit and the best cafe in town. As you enter the cafe you can't help but notice antique things that adorn the shelves, quirky furniture. You are greeted by a warm smile and given a hand written menu. It is full of stories - Eg Anupam Kher visited them and gave them recipe of his favourite French Toast and its part of the menu They employ locals and encourage visitors to speak in Hindi so that they can understand. Service is awesome I liked the fact that whenever a celebrity visits them they actually put a paper taped to the chair with the name of the celebrity The view from the Window is breath taking. Simply wow. They have two super healthy and big roosters I had their Pizza and Chicken Momos and it was delicious and filling. Do visit them, int would be a highlight of your visit.

This café is truly a gem — probably the only good one in Lansdowne. We were a group of 16, and they do take pre-bookings, which worked out perfectly. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the food? Absolutely fantastic. I think we ordered almost everything on the menu, and not a single dish disappointed us. The café isn't just about the food — it’s about the whole experience. They genuinely want every guest to enjoy it to the fullest, which is why arriving on time for your booking is important (and totally fair). Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Lansdowne. Great vibes, great food, and even better hospitality!

Very bad Food. Menu is hand written but the price as per food quality is really bad. We as guests at their cafe found owner who was sitting at counter on the left when enter the cafe Mr. amit bit rude and unpleasant. He continues to make face when we requested cold coffee to be less sweet and pasta to have little more veggies. To place the order one have to go to Mr Amit table which is fine but he is not guest friendly person and restrict the people when they r chatting slowly in their group on food table. There are much better food options in lansdown. This cafe needs to look into hospitality warmness and good food options with reasonable pricing.
