This view point is really good you can see a lot of moutain range from here (another small view point is at the right side of St. Marry Church ) look for it.. since its a popular spot it is always crowded cos people take time to reach here and then stay there for a while there is ticket of Rs. 30 per person its like a reward point in lansdowne there is restaurant around it so you can eat and sit for a while

Good place for family and couples. It's colorful place. So many points to click beautiful and colorful pictures and reels. Tickets prices are 100 per person without boating. With boating 250 per person.

Bhulla Taal is a small, artificial lake surrounded by lush greenery it’s clean, peaceful, and nice for a short outing. Apart from the lake with ducks and fish (fish feed is available for ₹10), they also have rabbits, hamsters, and some birds, which kids and animal lovers will enjoy. The ticket prices are quite high ₹250 per person including boating, which feels expensive for what’s offered. Without boating, it’s ₹100, and defence personnel are charged ₹50, which is reasonable. They also have archery, a trampoline, and swings, which are extra ₹100 each, and kids really seem to enjoy them. There’s free parking, which is convenient, but overall, while the place is pleasant for a brief visit, the pricing could be more reasonable.

It's a pretty place to relax for a while, click some pictures, or enjoy a quiet boat ride. But the experience is fairly limited, and the overall vibe doesn’t quite justify the entry fee. Parking is also limited and chargeable, which is another downside. Overall, it’s good for a one-time visit if you’re in Lansdowne, but not a must-see destination. If you’ve already experienced more vibrant or scenic spots like those in Nainital, Bhulla Lake might feel underwhelming.

Bhulla Taal is a small lake in the middle of Lansdowne, it offers good views with decent flora and fauna, Pedal boat rides are 100 rs. Extra for 15 minutes. Please note that sometimes it can get crowded and then you will not be enjoying the views, I personally felt that there were many areas of improvement in the maintenance of the lake. The authorities, along with collecting the ticket money should also improve on the amenities and the overall maintenance of the park. Other activities inside the park are chargeable separately like archery. Over all it's a good experience if you have nothing else to do in Lansdowne.

Located near St Mary's church, chances are you might miss its entrance due to it being very subtle on the road side. But once you reach here, the ambience is quite classic with an amazing view outside the windows too. Food is of good quality, but priced on a higher side. A must visit for Lansdowne trip!

Absolutely loved this place! The moment I stepped in, I was blown away by the vintage decor and cozy, artistic vibe. Every corner is packed with character — from retro radios to quirky furniture and beautiful wall art, it’s like stepping into a creative time capsule. What made the experience even better? The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and served with care — I couldn’t stop eating! Review as of June 14: This place is 200 meters from St Mary's church. It is definitely a must visit and the best cafe in town. As you enter the cafe you can't help but notice antique things that adorn the shelves, quirky furniture. You are greeted by a warm smile and given a hand written menu. It is full of stories - Eg Anupam Kher visited them and gave them recipe of his favourite French Toast and its part of the menu They employ locals and encourage visitors to speak in Hindi so that they can understand. Service is awesome I liked the fact that whenever a celebrity visits them they actually put a paper taped to the chair with the name of the celebrity The view from the Window is breath taking. Simply wow. They have two super healthy and big roosters I had their Pizza and Chicken Momos and it was delicious and filling. Do visit them, int would be a highlight of your visit.

This café is truly a gem — probably the only good one in Lansdowne. We were a group of 16, and they do take pre-bookings, which worked out perfectly. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the food? Absolutely fantastic. I think we ordered almost everything on the menu, and not a single dish disappointed us. The café isn't just about the food — it’s about the whole experience. They genuinely want every guest to enjoy it to the fullest, which is why arriving on time for your booking is important (and totally fair). Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Lansdowne. Great vibes, great food, and even better hospitality!

Very bad Food. Menu is hand written but the price as per food quality is really bad. We as guests at their cafe found owner who was sitting at counter on the left when enter the cafe Mr. amit bit rude and unpleasant. He continues to make face when we requested cold coffee to be less sweet and pasta to have little more veggies. To place the order one have to go to Mr Amit table which is fine but he is not guest friendly person and restrict the people when they r chatting slowly in their group on food table. There are much better food options in lansdown. This cafe needs to look into hospitality warmness and good food options with reasonable pricing.

This church is functioning, very small church, very nicely decorated, the speciality of the church you have to remove your shoes. There is no parking place, your vehicle at a distance on road side. Take few snapout side only. Small garden out side. This charch come on the way to tip and top point, and on clear sky ice peaks of Himalayas also visible from here.

It's a really small old church which is I would say not maintained really well how it should be. It has been converted to a museum now. You will find a little description board about some history of the church and inside the church walls, you will find some old pictures during British era when some marriages happened during that time. This church in one the way to one of few tourist spots and so you can stop by and spend few minutes here.

The history of GR is well brought out from British officers to Indian officers. 2 VICTORIA CROSS . My first visit to Kandolia Temple during the Kandolia Mela was truly an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was electric — the roads were filled with football fans, with matches playing all over the streets, inside and outside the mela. It was such a unique blend of cultural celebration and local passion for the sport. Despite the huge crowd, the temple darshan was peaceful and serene. Inside the temple, it felt calm and spiritual — a beautiful contrast to the buzz outside. Hats off to the volunteers who were managing the crowd and arrangements so well. Everything was organized, and people were being guided with care and patience. Took blessings inside the temple and received Prasad, which was distributed later in the evening. It was heartwarming to see that even with such a massive crowd, there was enough Prasad for everyone, prepared in large quantities and given generously. Overall, Kandolia Temple during the mela is a must-visit — for its vibrant energy, spiritual calmness, and the incredible effort put in by the organizers and community.

Very Peaceful Local Deity Temple On The Top Of Pauri Town. People Come Here To Tie The Bells For Their Wishes. Though Kandolia Devta Is Another Form Of Lord Shiva. As Shivling Is Mainly Present In The Temple Structure.

Kandolia Mahadev Temple is situated on the top of Kandolia Hill in Pauri. This temple is dedicated to Shiva. But in reality it is the folk deity of the local residents who has now been recognized as Shiva. The location of the temple is very good. There are cedar and oak forests all around. There is a different joy in strolling on the road here.

I have traveled here on Sunday and I'm sure due to the off season the crowd was little less but the view from the temple is wonderful. This is the main temple of Pauri people and it's just 200m up from parking.

Another Shiva temple (Kandolia Devta) is located in the dense forest of Oak and Pine on Kandolia hills. Adjacent to this temple is a beautiful park, sports complex and a few mts ahead is Asia’s highest Stadium Ransi. During summers Kandolia Park Witnesses the cheering, laughing and funfilled families from the locale. One side of the park gives a beautiful view of Pauri town and other side of it gives a beautiful view of Gangwarsyun valley.

Kandolia Temple is a Shiv Temple, takes about 200 steps to reach the temple, the steps are not steep & are easy to climb. The place is surrounded by dense Oak & Pine trees where one can sit peacefully for sometime. The place also has lots of monkeys so one needs to be careful. This is a very famous place so reaching here is not difficult also the nearby locality is also nice. There also is a play park where kids can enjoy playing. All in all a very nice family place.

This is an old temple of Pauri. It is a serene location and have a calm vibe. The location is easily reachable by car. A few stairs are there to reach the temple which can be taken by anyone. The view of Pauri from this temple is too good. There are many bells and big trees which make the atmosphere more enjoyable.

Probably the best part of Landsdowne day tour, its about 40km from Landsdowne and takes abt. 2 hours to reach, and it gets very crowded and you may have to walk a bit to reach it, if crowd is much. Although place is cool throughout the day, better to visit early in summers. its about 100m walk downhill and path is covered with corrugated sheets. This Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is probably the only one in the area with a statue instead of Lingam. Extremely peaceful and serene place. We went on saturday and there was a bhandara with Poori, Potato gravy and halwa, which was piping hot and wonderful. There are huge trees and few have fallen down, makes for excellent pics. this area has wild Bichoo Grass or scorpion plant, which if you brush by, will give stinging sensation for sometime (pic attached)

I visited during the Shravan month on a Monday morning around 11 am — it wasn’t crowded, which made the experience even more special. The walk to the temple is scenic, and during monsoon, the greenery makes it absolutely magical. Perfect place for peace, devotion, and connecting with nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

It's not just a religious site – it's an experience in itself. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the atmosphere here is deeply peaceful. Unlike most temples where you often find noise and crowds, here you’re greeted with silence, fresh mountain air, and the subtle sounds of nature – birds chirping, wind rustling through the trees, and distant temple bells. The setting is surreal, like something out of a Himalayan folk tale. 🚗 Reaching the temple is comfortable – the roads are in very good condition, especially for a hilly route. You can drive your car all the way to the top. The drive itself is scenic and enjoyable for those who love winding mountain roads. No issues even for family cars like Ertiga, Kia, etc. 🅿️ Parking is free, and there’s enough space available. To reach the main temple from the parking area, there is a short uphill trek through the forest. It’s not too difficult and completely worth it. As you walk through the tall trees with filtered sunlight falling on the forest floor, it feels almost meditative. The temple complex is simple, clean, and beautifully maintained. You’ll find people meditating, offering prayers, or just sitting in silence – and that’s the best part. The sense of calm and spiritual energy here is something that stays with you long after you leave. If you’re visiting Lansdowne, Tarkeshwar Mahadev is a must-add to your itinerary – whether you’re a devotee, nature lover, or just someone looking for peace. Tarkeshwar Mahadev is an ancient place situated in a valley about 30km off Lansdowne. The approach is quite scenic. We went under the impression that it was a Shiva temple but its dedicated to a saint who, in his time, fought against evil and used to punish the wrong doers. However, in an Uttarakhand Tourism inscription at the place it was mentioned that Parvati meditated here to "get Lord Shiva"! The person there told me that the place gets crowded during navraatris and there's an ashram very close by where one can stay for a few days by paying a few hundred rupees per day. There are very few eateries on the way to this place so make sure you have your own tit bits to consume. Although the ubiquitous maggie is available at the temple parking place. From the parking to the temple its a few hundred meters walk downhill. Saw an old person being taken in a wheelchair so make sure you are able to walk up and down with ease. But its not that big an issue. Just remember its a spiritual - religious place and not a touristy one. So go there for the peace and quiet, without expecting much.

For women, covering the body with proper attire is a must, as respect for the temple's sacredness is essential. This also helps maintain the decorum of the holy site.

Garjiya Devi Temple in Ramnagar is truly a hidden gem! The location is absolutely beautiful, and being right by the riverside adds a serene charm to the whole experience. It’s not just a spiritual place but also an awesome spot for a picnic with family and friends. However, one concern I had was the littering around the river. It takes away from the natural beauty and peaceful vibe of the area. I really hope visitors become more responsible, and some proper dustbins and awareness signs are put up. Also, having toilets easily accessible below the bridge would be a great help. It would ensure cleanliness in the temple premises and make the overall experience even better. Highly recommend visiting, but let’s all do our part to keep this place clean and beautiful!

I have visited this place during my visit to Ramnagar. I have not visited the temple inside so can't comment on it but it has big lines to go inside the temple. Beside that there is a beautiful river which is must visit place. There you can take bath in water and devour with Maggie and basic food which is really a good place for hangout with friends and family.

Awesome park with lott of adventurous activities. The staff is friendly as well as experienced. The safety of all the visitors is always considered . All the activities are very refreshing . The one and main disadvantage of the park is that the individual activities in the park are very costly. You can go for packages available there to do all the activities at cheap rate. The photographer is also available in the park who can click photos while doing all the adventurous activities.

The instructors were professionals and the activities were worth the money. I paid for the extreme package with a few changes and enjoyed my time at the adventure camp. Happy Adventure!

A good place to spend around 2 hours. It has a few activities for adults and kids as well. Recommendations : the 8 obstacle track which ends in a commando jump. Some activities like gun shooting was not available as they said the gun was not working. Some activities like Sky cycling are new. The arrows for archery didn't have any fletching on them.

Visited Devbhoomi Adventure Zone while staying in a hotel at Dhikaula Corbett. Good place to try some adventure activities. I was there with my two young kids. We tried zip lining and 8 obstacle course. Zip lining was average but 8 obstacle course was lots of fun and adventures to complete. There were many other adventure activities to try. Rates were decent according to the activities. Evening time is the perfect time to visit it as you will not feel much heat. Good place to visit while in Corbett.

The place is in the outskirts but it is worth going there. Kudos to the staff , they are very friendly and guide you through the way while executing the activities. My family had a wonderful experience, they really enjoyed each and every moment spent over there.

Nice Place, Its a good adventure Park in Ramnagar Area. Close to Ramnagar only 3 Km from Ramnagar. Staff is very courteous and helped us a lot. We were a group of 26 Persons but still they gave us a good time. Mr. Raju and Mr. Devendra helped us to overcome the fear of Height.

A peaceful experience awaits anyone who wishes to visit Baba Haidakhan Temple in Ranikhet. It's quaint, clean and generally not busy. Huge campus which is well laid out and has beautiful statues of Bhagwan Shi Hanuman & Nandi. On a clear day you would be delighted with the views of the snow peaks from there. It's the trishul peaks of Nanda Parbat. There's also charitable shop on premises which has a good selection of kurtas & brass items. Pricing is decent.

Decent waterfalls, near Corbett Museum. At the entry, there's a ticket counter, post which you can take your car inside the forest. There's a short hike post the parking, which although short, has a bunch of stairs, elders, be advised. The steps, carved of stone, are infused with algae and chances of slipping are prevalent. The place is really beautiful in monsoon. Throughout the hike they also have some adventure activities like sky cycling, ziplining etc, which were closed however citing rain (there wasn't any). I suppose it's up to their mood to close / open. There's also a small cafe and souvenir shop near the parking area, although there are very limited options.

1. Little hectic to get parking even though they have parking place. 2. From main entrance to waterfall is quite long so suggest you to go in two/four wheeler rather than walk. 3. Good jungle atmosphere. 4. Plenty of food option available but little costly than normal ( ex - 1 lemonade glass = 60₹ ) 5. Man made marble pool around the waterfall. 6. Thats it go and explore more !

I am a nature enthusiast. The day i visited was rainy so the place was prettier than it usually would be as the lush green area around the waterfall was humid and was very pleasant. This is the only place you can visit while in Jim Corbett to be closer to nature other than safari.

This was very good experience. A must visit place while going towards Nainital after Jim Corbett. Entry fee is Rs 50 and Car fees is Rs 100. You have to take your vehicle with you for around a kilometer. The waterfall was great. Zip line and zip-cycling actvity was also there with extra charges. My son enjoyed the zip-line activity very much. A small canteen is also there.

You can walk through rooms filled with old weapons, uniforms, medals, flags, and special things like Rani Jhansi’s silver scepter. It tells stories of battles—from World Wars to Kargil—and honors heroes from the Kumaon Regiment. Entry is around ₹20 and it’s usually open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Five stars for patriotic reasons. Good parking, amenities, neatness and peaceful vibe. But here are the few cons: Like the Grahwal Regimental Centre Museum, this too is dark, damp, poorly lit, and could do with improvements in organization of memorabilia and their descriptions. There is perhaps a paid guide (likely an ex serviceman) but it was not advertised so I don't think the people visiting are aware.

Kumaon Regiment is one of the oldest infantry regiments of Indian army. The history of the creation of this regiment is old and interesting. In the early 18th century, the men from kumaon (mercenaries) were recruited by East India company to serve the Nizams of Hyderabad. These people fought against the mathas. These also fought against Tipu Sultan in the final Anglo mysore War in 1799. The brave regiment was also invited by Lord Robert Clive to participate in the battle of plassey 1757. Finally, in 1813, sir Henry Russel, serving at the court of Nizams, organised these people to create"Roussel brigade" mainly, comprising men from UP and kumau region During WWI, the same regiment was named kumaon regiment and was raised at ranikhet in 1917. The kumaon regiment produced 3 army chiefs, namely General SM srinagesh General KS Thimaiya General TN Raina This center is unique, informative, and a must visit place. Although this temple is often associated with Ranikhet, it’s actually located quite far from there — in a serene, isolated spot right beside the Army Jat Regiment check post. Just 3–4 km from the temple, you can also explore a beautiful garden in choubatia, which is said to be the second largest of its kind in Asia.

A superb golf course located in Ranikhet Valley. It is around 5 kms away from the main town on the Ranikhet Kausani road. You can explore the beautiful lush green fields and click photos. It's must visit place when you visit Ranikhet. Must check opening timings with the locals before visiting. Ample parking space is available along the road.

Great Trail. You can reach the top either by horses or by foot. Would highly recommend by foot. I did after heavy rainfall and didn't faced any issue. Well maintained and there is shops on top too. Very genuine and nice people. Slopes somewhere are slippery. Wouldn't recommend for people with knee issue or senior citizen

Frankly the Tiffin Top is one of the most beautiful treks I've ever had. I didn't give a five star rating only because there are no directions anywhere on the way and I had serious doubt which way to take at least in one juction where I saw some people taking the wrong route. Apart from that, the king cobble stone path to the top is good enough to walk and it is not too steep. I went in the rainy season in August, there were very few visitors and so the ticket counter was closed. Otherwise you need to buy a ticket for ₹ 50. Several reviews mentioned monkeys but I saw none on the way, probably also because it was not tourist season. Thank God it did not rain. Otherwise the trek would have been difficult. The view from the top is really beautiful but you need to be careful up there as there are no barricades. I think they are building some. There are two restaurants in the top where you can buy water to tea to soft drinks and even full meals. Of course it's expensive. I really enjoyed the trek all the way from the lake.

Good tracking path with panoramic view on the top. We had a chance to visit Tiffin top this last month and it turned out nice tracking for us . Let me start from the beginning. We were just roaming around and checking the beautiful villas. Most of them were magnificent in their architecture. After few minutes we come across a blue sign board with Tiffin Top written on it. The weather was not good for track ans we were all no prepared for any tracking hence we decided to pass and walk further. After walking for an half an hour we reached to second point which was bit rough and less construct than the previous one. Btw, There are two tracks to reach on the top and that was the second one. We were skeptical but thought to check hence we embarked to move on the track. If you are fond of Snail the second track would be better for you. While tracking we witnessed beautiful curve and breathtaking mansion view on the way to tiffin top. Those villa were like we have all seen in movies, maybe some of us have seem in horror one. Anyway, the place is nice and track is too. Although the tiffin top is damaged now and has less space to seat relax

The walk up is a bit steep but totally worth it — you can go by foot, horseback. 50 rupees entry fees per person. The best time to visit is early morning or just before sunset when the skies are clear. The place is not as crowded as Naini Lake or Snow View, so you really get to enjoy nature in silence. There are also some snack stalls nearby if you need a quick bite. If you’re a nature lover or into photography, this is a must-visit spot in Nainital. Don’t forget your camera!

The sunrise point is exceptionally beautiful, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The trek is approximately 1.5 kilometers, with a somewhat steep incline, but the experience is certainly worthwhile.

Naina Devi Temple is a quiet and peaceful place with great mythological significance for Hindus. The temple management is very good, polite, and well-organized. We visited during the Nanda Devi festival, when the entire area was filled with vibrant energy and a lively fair (mela) was organized as part of the celebrations. During festivals, the temple timings are extended till 10 pm, allowing devotees more time for darshan. It is truly a must-visit place in Nainital, offering both spiritual serenity and cultural vibrance.

It provides the view of the snow capped Himalayas. Although we couldn't have the pleasure of that view. It was a monsoon when we visited. But it had its own beauty. Sitting atop the clouds and it was dreamy. Walking in the clouds. The road to reach there was uphill climb. And it was thrilling to drive there. We were on the edge of our seat and adrenalin was rushing in the veins. Although the local prefer to opt for a loca taxi rather than to drive. And I agree. Unless you are an expert driver.

Well maintained zoo , if coming by foot be prepared for the good work out for legs. Tough for elderly people and heavy person. Very steep climb take car. Once you reach you have nice view of lake.

Zoo is located on a peak accessible only through shuttles operating infront of India hotel on mall road. There's lot of walking and steep accent there no caddy available, therefore I would suggest avoiding aged people OT people who are not comfortable with heavy cardio. Overall zoo have decent number of species and animals are quite active.

Frankly, the zoo is nice, if you like climbing hills. I found it strenuous. You have to walk uphill quite a lot to reach the tickets counter and then inside the zoo more climbing. I enjoyed watching the tigers, leopards and red pandas and some mountain goats and deers. But many of the cages were empty. Sometimes only after a steep climb to an enclosure you realise that there is nothing there. Still I liked what I saw though I was really tired with all that climbing up.

The Nainital Zoo is located at a very high point. From Mall Road, you can take a cab service that charges ₹70 per person and drops you near the entry area. After that, you still have to walk quite a bit uphill to reach the ticket counter, where the ticket price is ₹150 per person. Once you enter the zoo, you first get to see some beautiful birds, followed by the Bengal tiger and many other animals. Since the zoo is situated at a high altitude, you have to keep walking uphill inside as well. If you have elderly people with you, it’s better not to take them along due to the steep climb. Apart from that, the zoo is surrounded by nature and the peaceful environment really wins your heart.

If you already went to places like waichin valley, Tosh, munsyari, ladakh etc. this one may not impress you. However, sunset from the cliff is impressive and now the zipline is also added (fare 500 pp). Walking distance (5 minutes) from Mukteshwar mahadev mandir.

This place is situated just beside the Mukteshwar Dham Temple. There is walkway just beside the entry of the temple that leads you to this place. On the entry to the walkway, you have small open shops and eateries where you can munch on Samosa, Kachori, Fruit Chat, Rajma Chawal, Dal Chawal and much more. You need to walk around 500 mts before you reach this place and once you reach there are more eateries. There are even two ziplines if you are someone who loves thrill. The place is now heavily commercialized and that's my first complain with this scenic place. Chauli ki Jhali is essentially a mountain cliff which gives you breath-taking views of Himalayas and there is no wonder this place is so popular but due to heavy commercialization the place is very dirty and too crowded. You can spend good 15-20 mins here taking back the mesmerizing views the place has to offer. Also dno't forget to click some pics on the first cliff just when you enter the area. That spot is a good one. Totally recommened and more so in off season.

Has a beautiful view of the Himalaya. On a clear day you would be able to see a almost a 360 degree view of the valley and range. Very close to the Chauli ki jali and Mukteshwara Dham Temple. Go there check out the view and just relax and soak in the beauty with a cup of warm coffee. I just wish we were there on a day with clear weather.

The area around this place has lot of attraction. The first is mukteshvar mahadev temple. It is at a height of 8200 feet. It's a very old and famous temple and visited by thousands of people. Next to it is chauli ki jaali which has a straight fall of 1000 ft. You can enjoy rope diving here.

A small treak from chauli ki jali leads you to pwd inspection house and it’s beautiful since the local people had tried to keep it clean. There is also an public convenience (sulabh restrooms) available (payments to be done ) they water is scarce so most of time no waters in restrooms. Must watch for the seven peaks watch.

Heritage Hotel with amazing views. The bungalow is old fashioned which was once a heritage site. Now it is run by KMVN as a hotel. The luxury rooms are well kept and the staff is courteous. Breakfast and Dinner are included in room tariff. The food is delicious and home-style. There is a nice lawn/garden. The view is amazing. Mornings are very special very bird chirping and the scenic beauty of sunrise hitting the top of snow bounded mountains. Just grab a cup of tea and enjoy a nature.

This is a must visit attraction of Mukteshwar which shouldn't be missed . The history of this banglow is directly related to Jim Corbett himself . And one can stay in the property too having prior booking . The Himalayan peaks are very clearly visible from here till Nepal . Such beauty isn't visible from Any point . The height of this place is around 7500 feet . Nanda devi peaks and almora are in straight line of sight . The details of all the visible peaks are also mentioned from the view point which is very educative for young kids .

The inspection bungalow is famous for its view of the mountain ranges. It is one of the places to visit for the view of mountain ranges and if you are lucky with the weather (no cloudy day) then you can cherish the amazing view of Trishul, Nanda ghunti, and even panchahuli peaks. So this place has no parking lot as such you have to park your vehicle outside the gate of the bungalow on the road itself. Then you can enter the bungalow and reach towards the open ground with wooden sitting benches and a table. And the viewpoint from where you can click the photographs and cherish the majestic view of peaks. The garden is well maintained and planted with so many beautiful Dahlia and gladiolus flowers. So this place also provides or serves you as a guest house, if you want to stay there you can book rooms from the kmvn website. And if you are not staying here then you can also come to this place just to admire the view with a cup of chai and coffee and pakoras. Yes, they also have a little canteen so they serve as per their menu. We enjoyed our view with chai and pakoras do visit this place and admire the majestic view.

Great holy temple of Lord Shiva. Around 350 yrs old. We need to ascend some 136 steps but the temple and view from top is worth it. Chauli ki jaali too is near by to this place.

A serene temple with breathtaking views—but be prepared for a bit of a hike! Mukteshwar Dham Temple is truly a peaceful and spiritually uplifting place, perched right at the top of Mukteshwar. The view from up there is absolutely stunning—calm, serene, and perfect for some quiet reflection. The temple itself has a divine energy, and even though it can get a bit crowded, the overall experience is still incredibly soothing. That said, one thing to be aware of is the parking situation. Cops won’t allow you to drive all the way up to avoid traffic jams, so you’ll have to park about 1.5 km before the temple. From there, you have two choices: either enjoy a moderately steep uphill walk or hop on a scooter offered by local riders, which usually costs ₹50–₹100 for the ride to the top. The walk can be a bit of a challenge, especially for elderly people or those not used to walking uphill, so plan accordingly. Despite this small inconvenience, the view and the temple make it absolutely worth the effort.

If possible, AVOID going to the temple on weekends, especially during peak season. The cab-wallahs will not tell you that the cabs will be stopped about 2 kms before the temple, and then you will either have to walk all the way through a nightmarish traffic or hire a two-wheeler to cover that distance. You will end up paying 2500/- to the cab-wallah (from Kasiyalekh) and then either walk 2 kms (one way) to the temple or pay another 200/- to the two-wheeler-wallah (for one person) for riding one way. So, if you are a group of 4, you will have to shell out another 1600/- if you choose to take the two-wheeler ride for all, both ways. The locals exploit the situation, but the administration is not bothered. If you choose to go in a self driven vehicle, be prepared to get mad. If you are only 2 in a group, a better way would be to hire a two-wheeler to the temple from Kasiyalekh instead of going there in a four- wheeler. But, we were told that on weekdays the situation is not so bad. We visited this place on Saturday, 21 June 2025. I tried to find some peace, serenity, and calmness at the temple but failed miserably. The covered concrete steps to the temple are a recent construction (although it has definitely ruined the beauty of the natural surroundings of the temple). Before, it used to be a hike to the temple through the jungle around.

I traveled by bike to the Koshi River, and it was an incredible experience. The journey was thrilling, with scenic landscapes, fresh air, and the excitement of the open road. Riding alongside the river, I felt a deep sense of peace as I took in the vast expanse of water and the surrounding natural beauty. Watching the sunset over the river made the trip even more memorable, making it a truly refreshing and unforgettable adventure.

The bridge is already 16 Years beyond it was meant for. Needs immediate reconstruction/Repairs. With rain and flash floods increasing every year, risk of bridge collapse and loss of lives is sadly on cards.

While it's not a major tourist destination, that’s part of its charm – it remains relatively untouched and peaceful. Just make sure to keep the place clean and respect the natural environment. Highly recommend for a short visit if you're passing through the area or exploring the Mathura region.
