Magical experience. It was amazing to see the mela with people of himachal all dressed up in their traditional attires and ever smiling welcoming faces. It was overwhelning to see the simple yet elegant mela ,brought me back to the old days ..ever thankful that people of himachal maintain their culture and welcome the visitors with open heart.. a must visit place. The road is quite narrow so prefer a bike over car sometimes it gets inconvinient in traffic.

It was a one-of-a-kind experience, especially in the snow. We trekked alone through the snowy landscape and even witnessed live snowfall. The next morning, the view was absolutely breathtaking. However, it was so cold that taking photos was a real challenge.

It's a must visit in any season. The lake while going to hatu peak is beyond magnificent. Please don't make the mistake we did of leaving late in the evening as it road gets very dark very quickly and it's very dangerous road especially in the monsoon.

This place is famous for the Hatu Mata Temple, offering the great view of snow capped mountains. One need to take small cabs which are readily available to reach the peak as normal Sedan or XUVs are not allowed keeping in mind the narrow stretch of the road. The sunrise and sunset from this point is much enjoyable one.

There is a legend, which stems from the Bhagwad Gita, that the Pandavas brothers spent part of their time in exile on the top of this Himalayan mountain.

This temple is one of a kind. The moment I entered the temple, it felt like entering a fort, as you see lush green lawn ahead of you. (I have never seen such a sight in any other temple.) I really liked the fact that the govt. has preserved the original theme.

According to a popular belief, the Pandavas built this temple during their exile in the Dwapar era It is known that Dussehra is not celebrated in Baijnath because Ravana was a beloved devotee of Shiva. It is said that once some local people burnt the effigy of Ravana during Dussehra and after this the organizers and their families had to face misfortune. After that no one tried to celebrate Dussehra here. The temples isn’t wheelchair accessible at all

The atmosphere of the temple is really good. It's very old temple and build quality is extraordinary. The carvings on the walls are extraordinary. You should attend aarti in evening. I have attended that twice. There was a group young devotees singing bhajans once and they really made our experience to next level. There is a place where children can play and we can click pics of natural beauty.

Triund Trek offers breathtaking mountain and valley views. The trail is about 9 km one way—steep in parts but doable for beginners. Best to start early and carry water. Camping at the top is peaceful.. Gets crowded on weekends, but the sunrise makes it all worth it!

Best trek for beginners, one thing that every tourist has to know there is a base camp after 5 hours of trek after that the peak of triund it takes max 1 hours to reach, many travel agencies don't take you there so first ask after that book any travel agency otherwise trek solo and at the peak of triund trek you got tent and food. In 700-1000 per person(tent + food).

One of the Best trek I've done. It's a beginner friendly and enjoyable trek, One can complete the trek easily as the paths are marked from the start till the end, But it's highly recommended to book a trek guide if you're a beginner as it requires stamina and support for a walk of around 3-4 hours with enjoying views. One of the best company that offer this trek at the lowest price is Madtrek Adventures my experience with them was great 😃. And If you can't handle cold weather then pack your winter wears to keep you warm in December till March as these months experiences snowfall at Triund Top. One more Important Thing: Enjoy the trek with the beautiful views but keep in mind that don't litter trash in such a beautiful place also don't let other litter too.

Weather prediction mentioned some rain, when we started. We couldn't see anything but fog while going uphill. Even on the hill top, couldn't see any of the ranges. A few gusts of wind gave us a sneak peek of one of the peaks and we decided to stay around in case the weather would clear up again. Rain began in afternoon. It rained and hailed. Temperature above definitely reached single digits. Shopkeeper on the top of the hill said it will clear up in 10-20 mins. Hours later, it didn't. There were around 10-15 people huddled in the only shop above the hill. Along with a few dogs as well. We waited for rain to stop but it didn't. So when there was a pause at around 4pm, we could finally see the Dhauladhar range. Snapped a few pictures and we booked it downhill. Passes along other drenched hikers coming up. The rain came back. It was really not a great experience being already tired and cold, walking down rocks and mud with drenched boots, and umbrella in one hand. We reached the bottom just after sunset, as it was getting really dark. Thankfully there were cabs to take us back to town. Paraphrasing a local shopkeeper I talked to at the bottom: This kind of rain happens once every 15-20 years. Will I do this again? Sure. Not anytime soon tho. And certainly will take the weather more seriously this time.

The waterfall was nice but for me the best part was the walk there. I walked a different way to most people, I came from upper Bhagsu and it took me through this beautiful trail on the edge of the mountain. Took me only 15 mins to get there. Also went to Shiva cafe which is 5 minutes higher than the waterfall, nice views up there and good food.

Bhagsu Nag Waterfall is a great place 100% a must-visit. It’s a short and easy trek. Try having Maggi during the trek; the views and the sound of the waterfall give you pure peace and a lovely vibe. Just feel it.

Nice up hill trekk for nearly 45 mins for me (out of breath due to physical reason). Once reached the place it was a lovely experience. See the water fall, clean water, small cafes. Enjoy tge place for 30 mins or more. Then start retracting.

Bhagsunag Waterfalls is a beautiful and refreshing spot located about a 15–20 minute walk from Bhagsunag Temple. The trek to the waterfall is simple and scenic, suitable for beginners and families. The surroundings are lush and calming, making it a great place to relax, take pictures, and enjoy the sound of flowing water. With the nearby cafés and viewpoints, you can easily spend 4–5 hours enjoying the area. A perfect short trek and a must-visit attraction in McLeodganj for nature lovers.

Very crowded place. A lot of public taking bath in the waterfall. Its not a peaceful place to visit. Although the sight is good from far away. A lot of shops to shop from. Local bags, key chains, clothes, shawls, jewellery.

While the waterfall itself isn’t particularly scenic, the pathway leading to it is beautiful. However, the trek may not be suitable for elderly visitors.

The Bhagsunath Waterfall trek is a bit challenging, but totally worth it! The cold water rushing through your body in winter is an unforgettable experience. A must-visit spot for nature lovers seeking adventure and beauty. Highly recommend!

If someone plans to visit, please make sure to visit between the months of July and October. We visited in the month of April and were very sad to see fallen apple trees. Still the people show a full of apples garden and charge a lot of money which is not at all worth it. There are only 2 ways to visit this place. One is a horse ride and the other is a 4X4 vehicle drive. People here charge Rs.1500 for horse ride per head and Rs.2000 for vehicle drive. This package includes 6 adventure rides and 6 places to see. To be Frank, no one will be able to do all the 6 rides and visit all the 6 places. Additionally, once you enter inside, you will be forced to opt for an ATV ride for about 1.5 km which is again Rs.500. Spending money is not a deal but trust me the money that you're gonna spend here is not at all worth it. A kind note that your outfit will definitely become muddy by the time you come out. It's really beneficial to carry a mask with you since this place is full of mud.

We went there in the starting days of July and the weather was too pleasing there. Bright sun, rain, fog, clouds all at the same moment. It was amazing Adventure trip

Worth exploring locals are so humble and polite selling food and drinks on top of hill with a nominal pricing. Activities are horse riding, yak photo shoot, Gypsy or 4X4 car ride on top, and other adventure activities. Also must try telescopic views activity there.

Kufri: 1. Gypsy Ride: ₹6,000 for 4 people (3rd week of april 25) seems not reasonable, also the ₹50/person environmental charge wasn't reflected in the cleanliness. Areas for Improvement 1. Cleanliness: Despite the environmental/cleanliness charge, the area didn't seem clean. 2. Crowds: Rides were overcrowded, which might detract from the experience. Recommendations 1. Gypsy Off-Roading: Although pricey (₹1500/person), it's a unique experience worth considering. 2. Alternative Options: For smaller adventures, other options might be more suitable.

Don't visit in April may and June. Wrost place. Locals are charges 3000/- Rs. Don't pay for one kilometre ride. Apple garden no apples was there. Activities area are good. Small little bit zipline. I think this place was good in snow time duration.

Rewalsar Lake is calm, beautiful, and a great place to just sit, chill, and stare into the distance like you’re solving the mysteries of life. The view is lovely, the breeze is nice… but let’s be honest — there’s not a whole lot to “do” here. And before you get any bright ideas — don’t feed the fish. Unless you’re carrying ₹5000 just for the fine. The fish look hungry, but the rules are stricter than school exams. There are some snack stalls nearby and a few places to try Tibetan food, which is actually pretty good and worth a bite. Overall: Great place to relax, click some peaceful pics, and enjoy the lake view — just don’t expect too much action. Come here when your soul needs a break, not when you’re craving an itinerary.

Rewalsar Lake is a serene and spiritual spot surrounded by three beautiful monasteries, a Gurudwara, and a small temple. The calm atmosphere is perfect for reflection—though the temple’s loud music at times disturbs the otherwise peaceful setting.

A very peaceful and holistic place .The whole town is surrounded around the lake People live over there in peace and harmony, mostly Tibetan. Good place to stay to purify your soul and mind.

It is located around 18-20 kms away from Ner Chowk. The road to reach there is narrow, and being widened at the very end. The whole town is located around the Lake. The lake is sacred amongst Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. There’s a monastery, a Shiva temple and a Gurudwara around the lake. The lake is beautiful and it has lot of fish inside it. The garden needs a bit of maintenance and cleaning. There’s a car parking inside the lake premises.

Lake Rewalsar, also known as Tso Pema, is a significant pilgrimage site in the Buddhist tradition. It was one of the highlights on our two-week road trip. The lake holds deep spiritual meaning, with unique stories and beliefs in both Buddhist and local traditions—each version equally fascinating.

Brilliant place! Incredibly interesting learning about Tibetan culture and seeing them work in real life. The Buddhist statues, artefacts etc are all well put together. The place is well laid out with easy to follow map and info leaflets at the front. The gardens are also very well maintained and beautiful. It has a nice shop for souvenirs also It says free guide but we unfortunately came when they were on lunch… ticket is 200 rupees as foreigner Highly recommend!

Here, traditional skills are still practiced every day — from thangka painting, to the making of copper images, to the crafting of wooden boxes and furniture. Walking through the workshops, you see how much effort is poured into preserving this heritage. The grounds are beautiful too, with peaceful gardens and courtyards, and the Deden Tsuglagkhang temple at the centre — a place that feels both artistic and spiritual. There is also a shop, where you can bring home a thangka, statue, or hand-crafted item — often things hard to find outside India. Supporting these artisans helps the tradition continue. And if you linger longer, the restaurant in the garden is a lovely place for lunch. Norbulingka is a little way from Dharamsala town, so it works best as part of a day trip with other sights. But it is well worth the effort. More than a tourist stop, it is a living bridge between the Tibet that was, and the Tibet that continues to survive and flourish in exile.

Watching artisans work on thangka paintings and wood carvings was a unique experience. The Losel Doll Museum is small but charming. The café and shop are slightly pricey, but the quality justifies it. Overall, a must visit for anyone looking to explore Tibetan heritage in a serene setting.

we visited way back in july 2019. lovely monastery and the institute. lot of interesting items to see. one can sit and meditate in the silent monastery. limited parking place was available then.

This institute is located near Dharamshala is an epitome of rich Tibetan cultural heritage. One can truly get mesmerized by the Tibetan History and how the Tibetan culture thrived in India with Dharamshala as its headquater.

Beautiful Stadium But Beware of Scam Activity Outside The HPCA Cricket Stadium in Dharamshala is easily one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world, surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar mountain range. The views are absolutely breathtaking snow clad peaks, fresh mountain air, and a perfectly maintained field. Even on non-match days, the entry fee (₹30 via UPI) is totally worth it for the serenity and scenic beauty. The stands are colorful, the stadium is clean, and staff are generally polite and cooperative. However, visitors should stay alert outside the main gate. There are people pretending to represent resort or travel companies (often with names like Karma Group) with ID probably fake ID cards handing out scratch cards for tgeir 31st anniversary claiming “free prizes” or “holiday vouchers.” This is a misleading sales scam they invite you to a “presentation” that turns into a high-pressure attempt to sell costly vacation memberships. Many visitors have reported that these offers are fake, and the promised gifts are never delivered or come with hidden charges. Tourists often end up losing time and face unnecessary stress. It’s important that visitors do not share personal details or sign any forms from these individuals. Politely decline and walk away. Tourists have repeatedly faced such incidents near the stadium entrance. The HPCA authorities and local police should look into this matter to maintain the safe, welcoming environment that this world class venue deserves. Getting There: Take the Ropeway! I highly recommend taking the Jakhu Ropeway. The steep hike (about 45 minutes) is there for the adventurous, but for comfort and the sheer aerial view, the cable car wins. For a few hundred rupees, you get a short, smooth, and scenic ride that lifts you right over the pine trees. It's truly a cinematic ascent, where Shimla city slowly unfolds below you like a miniature town. It saves time and energy, which you'll need for soaking up the atmosphere at the top. A giant 108-feet-high idol of Hanuman was unveiled at Jakhu Hanuman temple on 4 November 2010. The temple is accessible by foot, horse, taxi or ropeway. The Jakhu Ropeway is an aerial lift that links a point near the centre of Shimla to the temple. It was developed by Jagson International Limited and opened in 2017.

It was really peaceful and divine. The bhandaar was soo tasty and there was variety of food given with prasad too. You can either go in your own vehicle or there are some guys available near the church who will arrange your up and down journey - which was quite convenient and fast as they have a shortcut way of only 3-4kms. (They took 500 from us for drop and pick outside the temple). After you've reached outside the temple, there are stairs (no fee) and escalator (Rs. 20 ticket per person) available to the temple.

Visited Jakhu Temple in Shimla for Hanuman Ji’s darshan. We took a private van from the Clock Tower for ₹300 (up & down for two people), though there’s also an HRTC bus available for around ₹30 which comes every 30–50 minutes. There are a lot of monkeys around; they’re not harmful but you need to be careful with your belongings. Standing below the huge Hanuman statue and offering prayers felt truly divine and peaceful. A must-visit spot for a calm spiritual experience.”

Hanuman temple is certainly worth visiting. You can walk or take the pods...when arriving watch out for the monkeys as the like to grab the food. The temple is on a mountain so the view is wonderful.

You won’t feel like in India by looking at the buildings at scandal point when you are Shimla. Don’t get confused if driver tells you they are also going to cover the this point separately since it is next to The Ridge. You have to follow the same route. Just keep walking because vehicles are not allowed here.

It is the point where the Mall, the route to the Ridge and that to the GPO meet. It is regarded by many to have got its name from where an erstwhile Maharaja of Patiala carried off a British Commander-in-Chief's daughter. While Bhupinder Singh, the Maharaja in question, is known to have cut a finger that was more than dashing, it is unlikely that the Maharaja or the lady would have been out on the streets airing their love.

The Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) is a research institute in Shimla, housed in the former Viceregal Lodge, a must visit Historical place..built between 1884 and 1888 as the summer residence for the Viceroy of India. After India's independence, the lodge was renamed Rashtrapati Niwas (President's House). Loads of jaw dropping advanced features built e.g. Concealed Electrical wiring, advanced Fire fighting system, 200 years old working pendulum, walnut interiors. etc... Its amazing..!! It also contains rare archives, If you are visiting Shimla and keep interest in History...a must must visit. PS - Photography inside the building is prohibited.

The lush gardens outside and the panoramic views from the hilltop add even more charm to the visit. We took the guided tour, which was informative and helped us understand the historical significance of each section of the lodge. However, I personally felt that the tour was a bit rushed. Even though the guide mentioned that we could take our time, we were quickly moved from one room to another. I would have loved to pause longer and really soak in the details — the furniture, the photos, and the artifacts that make this place so special. Despite that, it’s a must-visit attraction in Shimla. The architecture alone makes it worth the trip, and if you’re someone who appreciates history, art, or old-world charm, you’ll definitely enjoy it here. I’d recommend visiting early in the day to truly take in its beauty and peaceful surroundings.

Vicergal lodge named as 13 British viceroys used this placec as residence and used as their capital for 8months every year as summer capital. Draft of partition of India was discussed here. Dr S Radhakrishnan converted this to educational institute IIAS, now offers advanced studies in social science and humanities. British era history involved in this building. 137 years old now. But sad to see poor maintenance and upkeep of structure inspite of hefty entry fee to stay 30 mins inside the building as guided tour.

Situated at 2.5 kms from Shimla railway station, this used to the de-facto power base in India during the British times for 8 months. The first building in Shimla to get electricity, it also saw time as Independent India's first President House for around a decade. Guided tours are available but too many people are stuffed in them and one can't properly appreciate the amount of history (usually in form of images and lettering). A proper way would be to let people go in and browse at their own leisure. Alas, one can't have that. Only the ground floor is accessible (4 odd rooms) to public. There is a lawn and small garden outside as well.

Everything A grade, only to reach there especially for elderly is bit difficult.As vehicles are not allowed and got to walk steep road for 4 to 5 km is difficult . Govt should start e rickshaws for public.

This is the highest point of Kasauli. Took a cab all the way up to the air force sub station. From there it was a 30 min climb (would have been much faster if I was alone). It is just a lot of stairs but they are nicely paved and well maintained. Senior citizens and even 70+ year olds also come up if they take a lot of rest in between (there are places to sit and rest). The temple at the top has a peaceful vibe. There are monkeys here and you'll be instructed to not carry food in your hand. If you have the "prasadam" from the temple, carry them in your pockets. This is also known as the Monkey point or Manki point. Our cab driver told us "Manki" is not a spelling error but refers to the hindi word "mann ki" (something related to heart/soul) but not sure about it's authenticity. The main downside of visiting this place is that it is close to the air force station and all electronic devices are prohibited - meaning no photography at all. Most of the pics you see here on this pin are actually from different places in Kasauli (added erroneously ...smh). Some pictures of the temple can be taken from a km away from the Gilbert Trail if you zoom in. There is a paid locker where you submit your bags and devices and go for the hike.

Temple is located at 6500 feets. 300 steps to climb. Only taxis are allowed from Mall Road Car Parking or you trek for an hour. Mountain views are awesome. It is believed that during Lord Hanumans flight from himalayas bringing Sanjeevani booti his left foot was rested on this hill and hence the importance of this place. Mobiles, photography etc strictly prohibited 🚫 in this area.

Its a beautiful temple located on mountain top of kasauli. The visiting time is till 4pm all around the year and 1-2 is lunch time. There is no Entry fee. Taxi service is available from mall road to manki point for 200-250 rupees per person but I would highly recommend to cover the beautiful trail on foot as you get to enjoy the beautiful path. Its is hardly 3-4 kms and an easy trail. If you are lucky enough you get to see the valley covered with beautiful flowers specially during monsoon (mid July- September end). Or you can choose the small path going via sunset point which connects to manki point in between and is about 1-1.5kms and slightly steep. Phones, smart watches and bags are not allowed inside the temple area as it is a Cantt area and you can submit your belongings by paying some charges. Carry cash as you will be needing it for buying food/water inside the temple premises. After entering the cantt area, temple is half kilometer on top with 282 stairs. You can enjoy the view from top. Beware of monkeys if carrying food items.

visited Chintpurni Mata Temple in Amb, Una, and it was a truly blissful experience. We reached there by taxi, the road was smooth, though about half a kilometer before the temple it became a little sloppy. From the drop point, it was just a 10-minute walk to the shrine. The walk itself felt divine, surrounded by serenity and devotees. The temple is one of the Shakti Peethas, believed to be the place where the feet of Goddess Sati fell, making it a site of immense historical and spiritual importance. The aura inside the temple was filled with positive energy, giving me a deep sense of calm and strength. Overall, the visit was peaceful, well-organized, and spiritually uplifting. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking blessings, inner peace, and a connection with the divine.

After visiting the Gurudwara at Anandpur Sahib, I was looking for a place to have lunch when I came across the Virasat-e-Khalsa. I decided to visit with my family, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. On arrival, I discovered that the complex houses the Virasat-e-Khalsa Museum along with a beautiful park that you can explore. The museum is vast and beautifully curated, providing an immersive experience into the rich history, culture, and sacrifices of our Gurus. It showcases how they preserved and promoted the heritage of our land through challenging times, making it both educational and inspiring. The Virasat-e-Khalsa restaurant on-site serves simple yet delicious food at very reasonable prices. Overall, the Virasat-e-Khalsa complex provides a perfect combination of tasty food, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a deep cultural and historical experience — truly a must-visit in Anandpur Sahib

Very well designed, immersive galleries, informs about Sikhism in detailed narrative, impressive supporting visual narration. Iconic architecture by Moshe Safde and brilliant exhibits by NID. Ticketing could be improved, galleries could have more descriptions for further reference, sound from adjacent galleries distract.

Site - Huge. Landscape -Qater body around. Architecture - Architect Moshe Sedie, Israel. Interior - No idea- Great- 5 star. Art Work - No idea - The best and great. 5 star. Lighting - No idea- Very Poor- 1 star. Sound - No idea. Only if you download the app and use headphone. --- It has a beautiful architecture but more than that Art Work inside, displaying whole history of Sikhi starting from its inception to 1948. Everything so beautifully designed, executed various pavilions, it is totally mesmerising. Artist put so much effort to connect all dots well. But sadly, lighting design is upto 5% thus absolutely flawed. Very first three story pavillion has day & night theme depicting 24 hours life in Punjab from rural to urban, from shop to home to all religious places but time for night is longer than the day thus you are unable to see the beauty and hard work out by artist/s and from behind guards keeps whistling, insisting you to keep moving (though it was not crowded at all!!)!! And this fault in lighting design is everywhere, less or more, you can't even read some display texts!! Ita worth visiting multiple times. Required time duration to complete it - 3-4 hours. Toilets - lavish and clean. Timing -1000 to 1630 (Monday Closed). Timing must be recieved, must be open ar 0900.

This museum represents the rich history of Sikhism. Architecture, paintings and arts... everything is wonderful... i visited this place in the month of dec 24 note- it's opening and closing timings are different in summer and winter.

It's a wonderful place, truly fitted to it's earned name the 8th wonder of india. The only limitation is that no photography allowed inside but that too is Ok considering it would increase the crowd

I visited Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh early morning recently, and it was a refreshing experience! This man-made lake, built in 1958 by Le Corbusier’s team, is a serene spot with calm waters reflecting the Shivalik hills. The early morning vibe was magical—cool air, chirping birds, and a stunning sunrise painting the sky. The walking path was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and I loved watching locals jogging and practicing yoga. The nearby café served tasty snacks, adding to the charm. However, some areas had litter, which slightly detracted from the beauty. Also, more benches would’ve been nice for resting. Despite these, Sukhna Lake’s tranquility and scenic views make it a lovely spot to start the day in Chandigarh.

I have been visiting this place and it remains an incredible destination to relax and reconnect with nature. Sukhna Lake, a serene reservoir at the foothills of the Shivalik Hills in the Himalayas, is an integral part of Chandigarh’s planned cityscape. Even today, it stands as one of India’s most famous artificial lakes and planned city, offering a tranquil experience with still waters. Nestled at the forefront of Sector 1, the lake is surrounded by lush forests and sits adjacent to the governor’s residences of both states. The morning sunshine here is truly mesmerizing, creating a magical aura for early risers. While the garden is beautiful and well maintained; it feels very mechanical, just made for the sake of the city because the city is like the cities abroad. Garden is big and if you want to spend some peaceful time, then only you should visit.

Rose is one of the best attractions in Chandigarh. If you like roses and greenery you must visit this place. Although Chandigarh is very green but this place an its own vibe.

We went in November but there were almost no Rose's flowering. So better visit in February. But very nice garden to sit and relax.

It is a very nice and big garden where you can easily spend 2 to 3 hours. Childrens play area are also there. There are lots of varities of roses from all over the world. You can scan their QR code and know more information about them. Better to visit in winters as roses are more blossoms in that season.

Its a beautiful place depicting the famous and fabulous culture of punjab... They charge you at the entry and then everything inside is free of cost..there are plenty of things to do inside... they have live dance performance also... Its a vast area..you will require a lot of time to visit every corner of this place..

The thali was good however there was no fresh safed makhan or makki ka roti or even gulab jamun. The chai was poor because there was no option for no sugar the ladies who made the parantha were never listening to my grandmother who is seventy years old and kept giving her rotis not fresh tawa ka parantha. And the dancing was great however the music is deafening. However the kulfi, dhai Bhalla were amazing, the magic show was great however the chuski was too sweet, I would not recommend bringing the elderly to eat the snacks as it was way too sweet. In the whole Havel was good however this rangale punjab was poor as they didn’t have that many Punjabi food

Great place to enjoy evening. Staff is very nice and food at stalls and main room was awesome. Everything we tasted was superb. It’s an entertainment for family of all ages. Only problem was with astrologer who seems to be a fraud….. used a same old story which frauds use to extract money from you by scaring you. We saw this in Chokhi Dhani Jaipur too but there the guy was good and gave us option.

Locatuon is good right at the highway. Inside atmosphere is good but areawise is not so big. Cultural programme is great. Punjab old cluture is displayed everywhere which is good to see if you have come for the first time Inside a big restaurant is there which is included in the entry ticket but frankly I didnt like the food inside and the biggest reason is - We had so many small meals/ food around the restaurant ( stalls everywhere like chaat, candys, ice cream etc) inside and we got full and there is no place left for the dinner. We suggest you to have the fresh baked roti with makkahn and chutney stall and enjoy other small meals ( chaat, pani puri, candys, ice cream kulfi, aam panna jaggery tea etc.), for diner you can opt after sometime post your digestion. Evrything is included in the entry ticket. Overall I feel the entry ticket 1000 is over priced as the place is not so big and also the food option is limited. One time visit is good.

Gurudwara Shri Dukhniwaran Sahib in Patiala is a very peaceful and holy place. It is visited by many people who come here to pray and find relief from their worries. The gurudwara has a large holy pond (sarovar), and it is believed that taking a dip in it can heal illnesses and remove pain. The building is beautiful and well-maintained. The atmosphere is calm and spiritual, and the sound of prayers (Gurbani) gives a feeling of peace. The langar (free community meal) is served to all visitors with love and respect, showing the true spirit of equality and service. Cleanliness is well taken care of, and the staff and volunteers are kind and helpful. There is enough space for parking, and it is easy for elderly people to move around. Overall, it is a must-visit place if you are in Patiala. It brings peace to the heart and mind.

Very faithful and peaceful and beautiful palace. Spiritual healing and peace are the properties of the Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib, one of the most revered Gurudwaras in Punjab. Located in Lehal, a part of Patiala, it is famous for its curing properties for any ailments that anyone may be suffering from. Visitors have faith in abluting in the holy water of the pond here, because of its healing qualities. Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib's origin is tied to a villager named Bhag Ram from Lehal, who sought the blessings of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to end a mysterious plague afflicting the area. In January 1672, the Guru visited Lehal, spending time by the village pond, preaching and meditating under a banyan tree. His presence and meditation led to the plague's eradication. Consequently, the site where Guru Ji meditated came to be known as Dukhnivaran, meaning "the end of all sufferings", and this name was given to the Gurudwara. Between 1748 and 1782, Raja Amar Singh of Patiala established a garden in honour of Guru Tegh Bahadur's special visit, entrusting its care to Nihang Sikhs. Court records from 1870 mention a garden belonging to the Guru and a well, used by the Nihangs. In 1920, plans to build a railway line threatened the banyan tree where Guru Tegh Bahadur had sat, but workers refused to cut it down. Consequently, Maharaja Bhupinder Singh cancelled the project. Although a Gurudwara had not yet been built, a committee was formed in 1930 to raise funds and begin construction. Twelve years later, in 1942, the building was completed under the supervision of Maharaja Yadavindra Singh, a devout Sikh. True to its name, Gurudwara Dukhnivaran Sahib is believed to alleviate grief for those who visit with a pure heart and offer sincere prayers.

Beautiful, humbling place. There was so much to experience from the Golden temple to the jora service to the langar service to the gold sewa workshop. The museums on-site are also there to serve as a reminder of the resilience that Sikhs have had to have to survive and become a large community. There are many gurudwaras and soravars (lakes) on-site to take amrat as well. To be able to sit under the trees that some of the Gurus had done so was also wonderful. A beautiful place to visit.

The entire temple complex is extremely well-maintained, clean, and beautifully organized despite the huge crowds. The pathway around the sarovar is peaceful for sitting or walking, especially in the early morning or late evening when the lighting makes it look magical. Overall, Sri Harmandir Sahib is not just a religious place but a symbol of peace, equality, and faith. No matter what your background is, you’ll feel a deep sense of spirituality here. A must-visit place that truly touches the heart.

Needless to add this place is absolutely magical especially early morning between 3.30 am and 5.30 am. It is absolutely breathtaking. A must visit at that time. One can sleep later during the day. The serenity an peacefulness is something one must experience.

A divine place. I have almost zero knowledge of Sikhism. But when I stand in th3 queue for 4 hours that is when I felt the presence different energy. I have been to Kashi, Ujjain and every where u have to stand in queue. A lot of pushing touching, but here people are standing together with families but with pure energy and devotion to "Guru"🙏

The centre is open mainly in the **afternoon (around 2 PM – 6 PM)**, so plan your visit accordingly. Entry fee is about **₹50 per person**, and you can spend 1–2 hours exploring. The place is clean and well-managed, though some walking on sandy paths is needed, which might be a bit tiring for seniors. Staff are friendly and often explain about the camels and the research work. It’s a unique experience, especially for families and animal lovers, offering something different from forts and temples. A calm, educational, and memorable stop in Bikaner!

Unlike most forts that sit atop hills, this one stands proudly on flat land, making it easier to access—especially for senior visitors. The moment I entered, the intricate carvings, beautifully painted ceilings, and royal artifacts took me back in time. Every corner of the palace complex had a story to tell—from the royal bedrooms to the weapon galleries and ornate courtyards. The fort is open from **10 AM to 4:30 PM**, and the ticket price is quite reasonable—₹50 for Indians and around ₹300 for foreigners. Audio guides cost about ₹350, but I chose a local guide who was both informative and entertaining. He explained the history with such passion that it made the whole visit more memorable. Accessibility-wise, the fort is fairly senior-friendly as it’s on level ground and cleanly maintained, though a few narrow stairways and uneven sections might require caution. Parking is available near the entrance, and staff members are quite helpful if you need assistance. Overall, my experience at Junagarh Fort was both educational and emotional—a glimpse into Rajasthan’s regal charm without the hassle of steep climbs. The guide’s storytelling, the preserved grandeur, and the sense of calm inside made it one of my favorite stops in Bikaner.

Junagarh Fort is an absolute gem in Bikaner! Unlike most forts built on hills, this one stands proudly on the plains — yet looks grand and majestic. The architecture is stunning, with beautifully decorated palaces like Anup Mahal and Phool Mahal showcasing intricate carvings, mirror work, and vibrant frescoes. The museum inside is fascinating, with royal artifacts, old weapons, costumes, and even vintage aircrafts and carriages. The guided tour was excellent — the guide shared some amazing stories about Bikaner’s royal past. The fort is very well maintained, clean, and great for photography. I’d recommend visiting in the morning or late afternoon for the best light. If you’re in Bikaner, don’t miss Junagarh Fort — it’s a perfect mix of history, art, and royal charm!

The fort is amazing. After whole tour, I was just mesmerized is a beauty and the history that it serves. I forgot the Red Forts of Delhi and Agra. The architecture is amazing. Most amazing sites are Anup Mahal and Holi chowk. The whole court is covered with art. Well preserved by the royal family. The ticket is 100 (fort) + 50 (royal museum) for Indians. This staff is good and helping. Must visit for all in a lifetime.

A wonderful historical place of Rajasthan. One must visit to explore it's unique style known for its rich architectural heritage, opulent palaces, and intricate decorations. Built by the ruler Raja Rai Singh between 1588 & 1593, it stands on a plain, unlike many hilltop forts, and features red sandstone walls. The fort complex includes multiple palaces, temples, and pavilions, reflecting a blend of Rajput, Mughal, and Gujarati architectural styles. You have to purchase tickets to explore it. Few parts of the fort is closed for tourists.

Junagarh Fort is a beautiful and peaceful place in Bikaner. You might have to wait a little for entry, but the ticket includes a guide who explains everything while showing the fort. The museum inside is amazing and full of royal history.

Hi If you visiting Rajasthan don’t miss junagarh fort and palace. This is the most beautiful palace accosting me compared to Udaipur and Jaipur. The collections are so colourful you will go flabbergasted . Pictures will tell the story . I am not good at photography. Still the photos seems to be extraordinary 😊

Lake is more than what you will expect. Clean and adjoining palace has been converted into Hotel. You can enjoy the views of lake by paying 250 per Person in the Hotel and enjoy boating at 330 Per Person including visit charges. There is another end of lake where you don't have to pay anything but it like in the Jungle.

“Beautiful place” Gajner lake is beautiful lake to visit. Best time is monsoon so much water will there. It was very attractive artificial lake. The 30 minutes boat ride you enjoy the sound of water, birds humming sound at one area, enjoy the shadow of the palace in water and the sun set view is also beautiful.
