Stopped here to pay my respects to Hulk Hogan at his beach shop and Stopped in next door to Hogans Hangout. Awesome place Great wrestling memorabilia. Just a shame that he isn't here anymore to autographed items from fans

Intriguing store from the outside, and loaded from front to back with merchandise! A life size Hulk Hogan in front of the store draws attention! Once your in the store, it's all Hulk Hogan!!! Upon entering, the arrogant bald gentleman at the cash register won't even speak to you when asking a question to his face, but, the young lady workers will answer for him! What a face for a business, what an embarrassment!!! My biggest issue was, there's no prices listed on any of the merchandise which most of it is signed by Hulk Hogan! I definitely would've purchased a signed belt at the least, but, it was a struggle with the manager up front and they became busy rather quickly being such a small store! It just wasn't worth the time! A lot of merchandise is hanging higher than a normal person could reach! If you're a Hulk Hogan fan, you're in the right place, if not, walk on by! 🚶‍♂️💪
RedBullKC — Google review
Buyer beware of the “surf shop”. The name they advertise is from a previous shop that closed months ago. They do not have another name listed, therefore cannot add a google review for the business. The receipt says the business name is “Bahama Mia” which also cannot be found online. The shop is a scam and the service is terrible. Not sure how the mall management is allowing this store to operate/advertise under the previous name. When asked why we were charged a tip and what service we were tipping on, he said it was “the machine” and laughed and said they make thousands of dollars in “tips”.

I love visiting clear water beautiful place to vacation and work. The plaza got affected by all the hurricanes in 2023 and it shows. But it takes time to heal and know in the near future it will return to its beautiful appearance.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Mentioned on

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Located in Clearwater Beach, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a renowned facility dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing marine animals. It was established in 1972 and is housed in a former water treatment plant with large pools ideal for rehabilitation operations. The aquarium is home to various injured marine life that cannot return to the wild. One of its most famous residents was Winter, a bottle-nosed dolphin whose story inspired the movie 'Dolphin Tale.'
This aquarium has come a long way! I remember going here when I was younger back when it was a wildlife rescue center. The aquarium has really grown up since then and has some incredible displays. And not just for its permanent residents but also for the same wildlife rescue they’ve always been known for. The parking is much more manageable now with their parking garage built on site and the balcony facing the intercoastal has some incredible views. I would take your time with this visit and be sure to hit all of the different locations throughout the facility as there are quite a few hiding in some corners that are definitely worth checking out. All in office is a great trip to go on and is a fun way to spend some time out of the heat at Clearwater Beach.
Alex H — Google review
Had a great time at this aquarium. At first I was a little disappointed to find out that feeding dolphins and stingrays would be an extra cost, but was then QUICKLY pleased with how many animal interactions we were able to have!! First coming in I got to pet a starfish which was super cool, got to see lots of dolphin tricks, pet a stingray!!!! I would do this again for sure. They also had such beautiful memorials all over the building for baby Winter, and props from the movie as well.
Im S — Google review
We had a great time here. I will say, there weren’t quite as many exhibits as I had hoped for the price we paid. We did see a great quality dolphin presentation, though, that was quite close and I felt was almost worth the whole cost of admission. I just didn’t think it took as long for us to get through as I had thought. Overall, though, a great and VERY educational experience. They clearly spend a lot of their time and money on rehabilitation work for their animals, and I felt great that my money went towards that work.
Abby S — Google review
Loved it! I took my granddaughter and the new addition is great! Love the new dolphin area with all the viewing areas up and down and around the tank. They are still working on upgrading the older areas and repairing hurricane damage.
Kathy M — Google review
Best aquarium I've been to! Loved the many dolphin viewing portals, and the various animals that they had in their care. Admission was a little pricey compared to other aquariums I've been to, but considering everything that they had to offer, and the fact that they are a hospital aquarium, the money goes to the care and possible eventual release of the special needs animals. Highly recommend the safari boat tour. For the price, it was well worth just riding on the boat, but also included seeing multiple wild dolphins, and a show and tell of marine life that they pulled from the bay. Very cool!
Margaret E — Google review
Clearwater Marine Aquarium is such a special place to visit, especially for families. It’s not your typical aquarium—it’s more focused on marine rescue, rehabilitation, and education, which makes the experience really meaningful. You get to see rescued dolphins, sea turtles, otters, and other animals up close, and learn their unique stories. The facility is well laid out, with interactive exhibits, educational presentations, and a great view of the rehabilitation areas. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Kids especially love the dolphin encounters and the hands-on learning zones. There’s so much to see and do that you can easily spend the majority of a day here, taking your time with the exhibits and enjoying the different experiences. You also leave knowing your visit helps support rescue and conservation efforts. Overall, a must-visit if you’re in Clearwater—both fun and inspiring!
Tash G — Google review
A marine that rescues and rehabilitates dolphins, sea turtles and more. Giving the public lots of educational opportunities. The only issue we ran across were the guys with the sea turtles … unfortunately, they were quite unfriendly and when asked a question, the one was very short and rude. Even at times was on his phone. Not saying it wasn’t work related but it was a bit disappointing. An awkward moment that passed as just that … a moment! Definitely not a deal breaker! Especially being, everyone else was friendly, helpful, polite and present!! I still highly recommend taking the opportunity to visit Clearwater Marine Aquarium! I believe it’s good to familiarize and educate yourself with what is going on and what prevention is needed for a better outcome for all!
Sara — Google review
This has been my daughters dream..the facility was very nice and big. The staff was very informative and you had good access to all rescue animals. My daughter has had many dolphin experiences but her dream was to have one interact with her. Well she did! The animals were very interactive! They were happy, healthy and lots of fun! We would do it all over again in a heartbeat 💓 this is where my daughter has always wanted to work and now she is more motivated than ever since this experience.

The beach itself is beautiful, with plenty of seashells to collect and even the chance to spot dolphins, which made the visit extra special. They offer jet ski rentals, chair and umbrella rentals, and even have a few food trucks around for snacks or drinks. The views are absolutely stunning and it’s a perfect place to relax and unwind. Parking is available for a fee, but it’s worth it for such an enjoyable beach day. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Absolutely stunning! 🏖️ This beach is a slice of paradise — soft white sand, crystal-clear water, and beautifully clean all around. It’s the perfect spot to relax, soak up the sun, and just breathe. Great for families, couples, or solo beach days. Truly a hidden gem . Play structure for kiddos available, restrooms, umbrellas and a little food truck.

Wonderful park with ample parking and less crowded than neighboring Clearwater beach. Great place to take photos by the beach or rocks. Lots of white sand and beach area. Wonderful for sunset.

Nice beach and path. Too bad fishing isn't allowed but the view is great. Plenty of parking (paid) for a Saturday.
Sarah C — Google review
As a photographer/videographer, I absolutely adore this beach for the variety it gives. From the rocks to sea oats and then ending with a perfect sunset, it’s definitely top on my recommendations to clients!
LD C — Google review
Great place that’s usually not too crowded. Parking is around $8, and the spots are big enough for trucks and SUVs. Plenty of trash cans are nearby, and the bathrooms are clean and well kept. The sand between parking lot and the beach have more shells than most the surrounding beaches so wear sandals.

We had such a great time at Busch Gardens Tampa! The park was super quiet when we visited, which made the experience even better - we were able to go on all the rides multiple times without waiting in long lines. It felt like we had the park almost to ourselves. The highlight of the day was definitely the newest coaster, Iron Gwazi. It’s an absolute must-ride - fast, smooth, and full of thrills from start to finish. We couldn’t get enough of it and rode it several times! Overall, the park was clean, well-run, and offered a perfect mix of excitement and relaxation. If you get the chance to visit on a quieter day, you’re in for an unforgettable experience.

Busch Gardens blew me away on my recent visit! The holiday décor was stunning—festive, detailed, and honestly more impressive than what I’ve seen at Disney lately. The food and beverage selection was excellent too, with tons of flavorful options and great seasonal drinks that made the experience feel extra special. The park has clearly invested in major upgrades. Everything felt cleaner, more modern, and much more thoughtfully designed. Plus, there are a ton of awesome rides for both thrill-seekers and young kids, along with multiple playgrounds for all ages—perfect for families who need a breather between attractions. Overall, Busch Gardens has really stepped up its game. The improvements, atmosphere, and value easily put it on a level that rivals—and in many ways surpasses—Disney. Highly recommend!
Alex K — Google review
My favorite happy place in the world when it comes to amusement parks. Busch Gardens prices on tickets is unbeatable for a park that has some of the best rides in the world. The lines are a max of 15 minutes, it is super shady when walking from 1 ride to the other, the fans blow on you so youre not melting in the summer sun and there is something for every age. From safari and animals to rides, it really is a park build for families in mind. The drive is 2 hours for me but its totally worth it!

Oct 2025 We visited busch gardens while holidaying in Orlando for 2 weeks ..It's been 6 years since we last visited, so were very much looking forward to it and the weather was also a lot better than last time...We used the free transport service supplied from SeaWorld Orlando👍. As it was free can't complain .we did have a couple of pic ups on the way , which slowed the journey a bit..We arrived there about 45mins after park open ...The main thing I liked was the coach didn't leave till after park closed , so we were able to make a good full day of it ... Only 2 rides were not operational on the day , cobras curse and the log flume which is now permanently close ...The main attraction for us was going to be iron gwasi ..!!🫣 They hadn't finished it on our last visit,so was very much looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint..The ride is mental from start to finish , Awesome..😁 Apart from a couple of new additions to the park, everything was exactly the same . Although it was a Tuesday and the park was quiet..we didn't have time to check out the animal parts ..But everything else we managed to do more than once...We did have the all day dine , which was ok..kids got more from it than mum and dad did..Food was ok ..Only down side was I couldn't find open and closing times for restaurants on the app (same as SeaWorld)..so a restaurant I did fancy was closed 1 hour before park closed ..Which was disappointing...Overal we had a great day and would return again if we came back to Florida 👍👍

Fantastic day out. Caught the free shuttle bus from Orlando. Went weekday mid November and no ques, although we didn’t actually go on any rides. We did do the safari where you get to feed giraffes, AMAZING. This was on a Black Friday deal for $25, You get quite a bit of time with them and plenty of lettuce to feed them. We also did the sloth encounter (also a black Friday deal for $35), you got to meet 3 sloths (including the baby one) and also got to stroke one. Highly recommend doing this. A fab day out.
Michelle K — Google review
My family and I arrived at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay early on Saturday, November 22, 2025, about 30 minutes before the official 10:00 a.m. opening. Staff began letting vehicles into the parking areas around 9:45 a.m. We upgraded to preferred parking, which I highly recommend; it offered a convenient, short walk of just a couple hundred yards to the park entrance. The admission process began promptly at 10:00 a.m. and was a breeze, likely because we had purchased our tickets and parking pass in advance. Since no one in our group enjoys roller coasters, I designed an animal-centric itinerary aimed at an efficient viewing route. My plan led us to the back of the park first, which is where we hit a snag: this section doesn't open until 10:30 a.m. We had to backtrack and follow my itinerary in reverse order. This information wasn't readily available anywhere I looked, so it's a minor inconvenience worth noting for future visitors. Despite the small route change, our overall experience was wonderful. The staff were consistently friendly and informative, all facilities and restrooms were clean, and the animal enclosures appeared well-maintained. I would definitely recommend a visit to Busch Gardens, suggesting you look for discounted tickets during a sale to maximize value. This route took us approximately 4 hours to complete at a leisurely pace. Below is my animal-centric Itinerary. Suggested animal-centric itinerary starting at 10:30 a.m. Continue straight in from entrance to Bird Gardens and Kangaroo, Head North on map towards Jungala to Orangutangs & Tigers, Use the Skyride to go back to beginning of park, Head South on map to Cheeta Run & walk around the Edge of Africa, Jump on the Train once off the train head up to the Asian elephants (if we choose to), Head South on map to see the Penguins, then the Gorillas & Chimps, Continue to head south on the map to the exit.
Joshua S — Google review
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay always delivers, but the Christmas season takes it to another level. The Christmas Village is a blast — great energy, solid food options, and plenty for the kids to explore. The lights throughout the park are absolutely spectacular and make the whole place feel new again, even if you’ve been a hundred times. Add that to the already top-tier coasters, animal areas, and consistently smooth operations, and you’ve got one of the best holiday park experiences in Florida. Easy five stars - worth the trip every year.

The zoo provides opportunities for up-close encounters with a diverse range of animals from around the globe, including big cats, primates, reptiles, and birds. With its commitment to conservation and education, ZooTampa at Lowry Park aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife and their habitats.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ZOO!!!!We came here during the week on a Wednesday in October during the day time and it was not crowded at all we had the time of our lives, i went up on to 6 or 7 different zoo keepers and asked tons of questions about the animals we were near and every single one of them answered my questions with ease and were super friendly. There was one zookeeper named Joe who was near the Orangutans and he was so knowledgeable and kind talked to for almost 15 minutes and knew every single question i had to ask. Plenty of water fountains and shady areas to cool off in. Safari Ride was a must! Devin was our guide on the ride .He was awesome very informative and super personable. There wasn’t a single question i asked that he could not answer with additional information on top of it. Every animal was active and visible but with the exception of one or two and if you go to lots of zoos you know that’s just apart of it but it was nice to see how the zoo made sure the animals could be comfortable and visible at the same time. Loved the Free Encounters they do with the Manatees and the Other Animals. We watched the one with the Orangutan and you HAVE to do this when you come!!You get to see them up close and have a great view and it’s a surreal experience being so close to them and we didn’t have to pay anything extra to do so.You also HAVE TO FEED THE LORIKEETS!!!! Since it was slow that day the Kind Lady who worked the Enclosure gave us a bit extra food when feeding since there was no one waiting behind us. It’s little things like that make It feel so personable and enjoyable. We also went thru the Dinosaur area And OH MY GOSH WAS IT SO COOL. They have life size dinosaurs you can get right up next too that are animatronic and so life like.Im an adult and felt like i was 10 years old again it was amazing! 10/10 Would recommend visiting here. I didn’t meet a single staff member who wasn’t friendly as can be and Also SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE.Food and drinks are widely avaible everywhere. We had A Pizzafor lunch in the africa area that tasted great! Overall 10/10 i got my moneys worth and can’t wait to come back!!!

What a fantastic zoo!! My family is in town visiting from out of state. We used our reciprocal zoo membership to visit. I told my husband about halfway thru the day that if we didn’t have our membership and had paid full price it would’ve still been worth visiting. The kids and us had a blast! The zoo was very clean, the exhibits seemed spacious and the animals seemed happy and well cared for. The rides throughout the park, water play area and playground were an unexpected added bonus! We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

This zoo is awesome. I was visiting from Miami for a concert and decided to extend my trip to enjoy the zoo. It’s not as big as ZooMiami, but it makes up for it with a lot of heart and some great theming. I’m particularly fond of the Animal Kingdom style safari ride they have here. It’s great and super informative. The Africa and Florida sections are really good but the Australia section leaves a LOT to be desired. That being said, I highly recommend coming here either by yourself, as a couple, or as a family. It really is fun for all ages.

I have been to a few different cities Zoos but this is one of the better ones for sure. They got a great selection of animals and activities for all ages. They got a show on Disney + called Secrets of the Zoo: Tampa, if you want to check it out before going to ZooTampa. There are a ton of food options and different animal experiences as well. I would recommend signing up for the experiences in advance to make sure there is availability the day you want to go. They have added a dinosaur exhibit and they also do theme events during the holidays. If you live in the Tampa Bay Area, I would recommend buying the pay for the day pass because you can come back as much as you want for a year.

Today my grandson and I enjoyed a full day and did not see everything. We purchased the one day with all 2026 admission included. The Christmas holiday permeates the zoo that is usually open til 5pm with special evening holiday event by separate admission or members free We loved the Aftica section with elephants, white rhinos, hippos, giraffes, and less usual a smiles like Okapi and Tapir. We were sad that the train was not working today but my grandson loved the children’s ride with Outback cars and banana airplane ride. The carousel with a dragon and elephant were a hit. Over and over The areas for animals were divided by continent and with a Florida section. Several food selections offered pizzas, popcorn, canned alcohol, bottle beverages often in 100% recycled containers. I found a hot dog eatery with hot dogs and sausage under $11. Delicious Men’s women’s and family Restrooms were located throughout the park, with a dedicated wheel chair accessible stall with grab bars and 4ftx6 ft space. Restroom doors were push and heavy to open. A touch pad opening would be helpful for some visitors inc the woman in a wheelchair that I held the door for— and she agreed about the touch pad. The zoo is mostly accessible except at some rides and kids playground. Today 3 employees went above and beyond. LAURA at customer service understood my mistake in not bringing my phone charger and charged my phone so I could drive my electric vehicle. JACOB at Kona Ice answered my question about their service project. he talked so proudly about Kona Ice that I thought he was the owner, but he is a proud employee. CARLO was the most awesome docent at the giraffes. My grandson got a blister and crying hysterically near one of the shops. DESTINEY offered bandaids and ointment. She maintained complete calm while he screamed, with no judgement. She asked if he wanted some ice cream and gave him a small amount. That gesture really comforted him. Great experience today. Just be aware, the exit is through the gift shop

Was really looking forward to this visit at they claim its a top zoo. Its got a lot of unique activities, unfortuantely all of them seem to be closed or abandoned. The water slide was not running, and most of the booths and other quick service stands had no employees running them. Was hard to find anything to eat or drink The zoo was dead, as in it felt like a ghost town which in a way is nice because some animals were closer due to the low noise of bigger crowds it just felt very very. We tried to go into the African resteraunt and they said the kitchen was closed, the water slide in florida was not running, there were no handlers out to talk to us about the animals, no encounters, or really any sort of event other than the Halloween event which takes place after normal business hours. Very quiet but hard to find any events to do. Really like the australia area which had lots of play items for kids to burn energy out on while also getting see animals. Feels like an educational but fun place to visit, would really enjoy coming back still even with the setbacks experienced. Feels like a blend between a amusement park and zoo. Good value.

We like ZooTampa! Actually a small zoo but lots of things to do! I describe it as a zoo mixed with a theme park! We just bought the CityPass tickets but I just got the annual membership because its gonna be so much worth it especially with a toddler! Our favorite is the “Australia” section where there is a splash pad, a playground, rides, petting zoo! There are also lots of tables and shaded area for parents to wait. It’s clean and well maintained! There are fans everywhere to ease up the heat and also misting stations! The animals are well taken care of! They also have a rehabilitation area for manatees and stingrays that can be touched! Parking is free when we went but they will be implementing a pay parking starting January 2026 for non-members! Can’t wait to come back!!!!

ZooTampa was an absolutely wicked awesome day, bub. We went during the off-season, so it was no lines, no crowds, no waiting — just pure, relaxed exploring. Felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The rhinos were incredible — giant prehistoric tanks just hanging out. The elephants were majestic as always, and the giraffes were a definite highlight, towering over everything like they owned the zip code. The Africa ride-along tour was wicked cool and made the whole experience feel like a mini-safari. The primates were pure entertainment, doing what primates do: judging us, ignoring us, and occasionally showing off. And the manatees? My wife was in absolute heaven. Those gentle sea floaters were adorable and calming to watch. Now listen — they technically did have a big cat. One lonely tiger, clearly on his coffee break, just sprawled out living his best lazy life. Didn’t move a whisker. I respect it, but I still had to laugh. Overall, the place is clean, well-run, full of cool animals, and just an all-around wicked good time. Five stars without hesitation. If you’re in Tampa, don’t skip it — this zoo is the real deal.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is a sprawling 90,000-square-foot music-themed resort and casino with two buildings located near the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre. The hotel boasts elegant guest rooms and suites equipped with luxurious amenities such as whirlpool tubs, Keurig coffee machines, Bose speaker systems, and flat-screen televisions.
Great location.. rooms were big and so comfortable. We had a view of the pool. Very beautiful very, especially at night that blue and purple glow was setting a vibe for our room. Don't care for the heavy smoke smell in the lobby and casino area but once on the elevator.. that goes away. Pool area was also very nice!!

Great and large rooms. Shower big enough for 2 people with 2 shower heads and a bench. No tub. The bathroom has a separate space for the toilet with a shielded slided door for privacy. Only complaint was the coffee situation- no real creamer- only powdered and we didn't get it refilled when we asked. We also asked for towels and a room cleaning and never got it. The upper casino is extremely tight and the bottom one was tight but not as bad as the non-smoking section. Park in the Lucky parking lot if staying with lots of luggage. You'll be closer to the main entrance. You'll need to scan your room key to even get the room tower elevators. If you sign up for Unity- you get 50% off the buffet for one person. Buffet was decent. The Cafe was actually better. If you're signature status with Royal Caribbean you will be comped 3 nights and $300 room credit. Kids are allowed with adults but not on the casino floor (only along the pathways). Very fun to see history lining the hallways. We'll be back!

I visit and have fun for the past couple of years! Jayden at the rise and shine coffee is the best and makes our coffee perfect! One person in particular makes me so upset. Destiny. Not friendly, very rude and always has an attitude. I won't let her make my drink and has very poor people skills. Dana the bartender at the floor stands is also fantastic, always smiling and friendly.

Stayed here twice in the last month. For some reason for one of the nights they charged my unity account for the resort fee. They said oh when the credit card on file can't be charged we take your unity points but for some reason they charged my credit card for all of the other nights. I went to the front desk to ask them to return my unity points and just charge the credit card on file. They said sure, no problem, charged my card and never gave back my unity points. One of the blackjack dealers stopped play several times and demanded that I take a hit. Then started complaining to the other players that I was not playing correctly. Both times he did this, he received a 10 on both hands, busting and everyone that didn't bust won their hands. I tried to talk to Pedro (floor guy) about it but he wouldn't even look me in the eye nor listen to a word i was saying. If you have an asian dealer named woodley that wears glasses, don't let him bully you off of the table. As far as the rooms go, beds are hard as a rock and pillows don't hold their shape and go flat immediately. My back was sore for several days after both stays. The AC in the rooms don't work well either. I had the thermostat turned down but couldn't even sleep with any covers on as it was so warm in the room. I've been trying to give this place a chance, i've been there 3 times in the last month and stayed in a room two of the times. But It's just not a great place to go/stay.

After finally having a free day off, the wife and I decided to venture and have a go at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino - Tampa. Having moved to the Tampa Bay area recently, the travel from Lutz to the Tampa Hard Rock was short relative to our previous casino trips. My outlook on the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino franchise completely changed (for the better) after this visit. Hopefully this review will give some reasons why. As an MGM member and one who dabbles in casinos, my profiling of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino grouped the franchise along with the likes of the Caesars, Tropicana, Showboat, Ballys - in other words, casinos that are old and outdated. My ignorance in this regard also stemmed from the few quick stops at the Hard Rocks in Malta and Atlantic City, only to eat on both occasions. Again, my whole view of the Hard Rock franchise completely changed after this visit to the Tampa location. Travel and parking. Located just south of New Tampa and Temple Terrace, the Seminole Hard Rock - Tampa sits conveniently off of the I-4; while not the best of highways, it is arguably the quickest way to get to the venue. As you drive in, there are essentially three parking decks to choose from - Winner's Way and Lucky Street are the two main ones meant for resort visitors, while Orient Road and Draper Place puts you closer with respect to the actual hotel rooms. Either way, there is more than enough safe parking spaces with ease of access to the casino floor. The first thing that stands out is that smoking is permitted on the venue. While most casinos still allow smoking on their premises, it doesn't tend to be a problem. With Hard Rock Tampa - it seems a bit more noticeable. This may be a game changer for some. However, if you want some what of the casino experience without the smoking, they have a designated smoke-free area on the second floor. The casino floor is rather sizeable (larger than Parx Casino in Pennsylvania and can be compared to the Borgata in Atlantic City). The slot machine areas appear to be arranged and organized better than most casinos where other casinos seem like an elaborate maze. Navigating the floor here is easy and not as frustrating. Between the slot areas are a variety of tables. Overall, the casino floor is well maintained, neat, and clean. Meanwhile, the areas and functionality thereof around the casino floor are beautiful. There are a set of marvelous curving escalators that connect the second floor to the first, putting you right by the hotel-check in desk. There are distinguishable arcs that cast over the hall access to the hotel's East and West towers respectively, which offers a sense of elegance and class. If you are an avid casino player, you'll want to sign up at the Player's Club. The Hard Rock's rewards program is called Unity. Like the MGM, there is an app for this. The Hard Rock will also tier-match with MGM if you have the program. The ladies working the Player's Club were great and thorough. They explained the benefits and perks of the Unity program, along with giving us a brief introduction to the hotel and casino itself. The unique thing about the Unity rewards program compared to the MGM is that it applies to all Hard Rock franchise locations, which has a greater international reach compared to the mainly U.S.-based MGM. There is not much for kids - unless of course you are staying at the hotel, in which case there are amenities such as the pool. However, like most other casino resorts, there is not much for kids to do here (the Sugar Factory is more of a restaurant than a candy story itself), while the retail stores are catered toward the adult demographic. It was a fun experience overall, and we are definitely going to venture here a bit more often. I would highly recommend the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa for any casino player and as a resort hotel in general.

honestly I have tried to like this casino. playing slots its fun. If I tell you no one seems to win anything. All the people around me just losing money left and right upset and complaining. This casino used to pay out better years before the renovation. it is pretty big. Don't go with the expectation to win. Just go for the fun that way you MIGHT not leave disappointed. win the late evening hours the crowd becomes a bit sketchy so be careful in the parking lots and driving around surrounding area at night. Maybe one day I will go and actually win something lol...or maybe just save my money and do something else thats rewarding lol...

Went to watch a comedy show. The show room is average and the chairs are amateurish. Kind of like a school or conference room rather than event style. Hope they decide to upgrade the room and seating. They have upgraded the events and acts that come in which is great! Nice hotel and Casino with good food options. Parking was easy and safe.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience. We booked this stay to celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary, and instead it turned into a stressful and exhausting night. At 2:30 AM, the fire alarms went off twice, causing complete chaos as the entire floor evacuated in a panic. It took security more than 10 minutes to inform guests that it was a false alarm. Being abruptly woken up like that is terrifying — panic, confusion, and heart racing — not exactly the experience we expected for a special occasion. After that, we were ready to leave immediately. When I went to the front desk to check out and request a refund, the customer service was shockingly poor. The employee assisting me didn’t apologize or acknowledge the situation at all. He asked another staff member what to do, and she made an unhelpful, dismissive comment about the situation not warranting a refund but that “someone would call.” A different staff member eventually mentioned the alarms were triggered by someone smoking in a room — yet still no apology or concern for the guests affected. By the next morning, no one had reached out as promised. I had to call myself, and again, there was no apology or accountability. The lack of basic courtesy and professionalism from every person we interacted with was very disappointing. I work in a customer-focused role every day, and this level of service is simply unacceptable. The front desk team, reservations, and management all need customer service retraining. This was a terrible experience from start to finish.

Embark on an unforgettable journey at The Florida Aquarium, nestled in the heart of downtown Tampa. This vibrant destination is a treasure trove for families and marine enthusiasts alike, offering a plethora of interactive experiences that cater to all ages. From thrilling encounters with sharks and playful penguins to hands-on stingray touch tanks, every corner of the aquarium invites exploration and wonder.
Our daughter received this visit as a birthday gift from her grandparents. And she was on cloud 9. The whole experience was just amazing. The new exhibit with the coral and the jelly fish to touch is a amazing experience. Employees were very friendly and experienced. Everything was well maintained and clean. Even the restroom was very clean with a cleaning lady and I give her 5 ⭐ for that, because everywhere we go there is cleaning personal for this 😔 so I'll say big thank you for having a cleaning person there to keep the toilets clean. The cafeteria was also clean and everyone knew what to do and food was amazing. Portion/ Price/ Taste was worth the dollar. The only thing I would say is one ⭐ is the price for a bottle of water 😞

This place is awesome! Easy to navigate, cool to look at, pretty educational if you take the time to read. It's also located on a port or something where cruise ships arrive and depart, which was neat to watch. All of the wildlife appears well taken care of, which is a huge plus. Tickets on a Saturday were pretty expensive, nearly $50 each, but if you think of it like a means to offer the care and attention for these animals, it's not so bad. The only real negatives, to me, were the gift shop (not much in the way of interesting merch for an adult), and the food. The food was abysmal. I paid almost $20 bucks for a burger that was unbelievably overcooked and dry, I couldn't even finish it even though I was starving. Good thing you don't go to an aquarium for the burgers! I still highly recommend visiting, it was a great experience. Just make sure you eat first and you'll be fine. Take your time to sit and observe the wildlife instead of trying to rush to the next thing. It really is something special.

Such a beautiful aquarium! I loved all of the exhibits. They have cool enclosures for all of the birds and where the lemurs are at. The big tank had lots of cool fish and sharks! They also have an octopus which I thought was pretty cool. It was a fun experience and was not too crazy busy for a Saturday. Definitely glad they had the trolley that brought us right to it too, very convenient!

The aquarium was beautiful. So many fun fish to see. It was interactive and the employees are all very kind. I only wish there was more to see!! I love the outside area for the kids to run around and the adults to grab a drink. Our tickets also got us a discount on the warship right around the corner which was also an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Lovely experience visiting the aquarium. Fun thing to do if your visiting. It took us alittle less than 2hrs to get through it all. My kiddos are tweens so they were able to get through it quicker. We were disappointed in not being able to see penguins because of the repairs being done to their exhibit but we did confirm they do have them and that they supposedly bring them out a few times a day. I do think for the size of the aquarium tickets should have been a little less. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

The Florida Aquarium in Tampa completely exceeded my expectations! 🐠 From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by how beautifully everything is designed — it’s clean, spacious, and full of life. The exhibits are stunning, especially the coral reef tunnel and the huge ocean tank with sharks, rays, and sea turtles. What I loved most was how interactive it is — you can touch stingrays, watch playful otters, and see penguins up close. It’s not only fun but also very educational, with lots of information about marine conservation and Florida’s unique ecosystems. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers. Whether you spend an hour or half a day, it’s a peaceful and inspiring place to visit. Definitely one of Tampa’s top attractions!

The Florida Aquarium was a wicked awesome surprise. From the minute we walked in, it was wall-to-wall incredible exhibits and hands-on stuff that made you feel like a kid again. They’ve got interactive activities everywhere, so you’re not just staring at fish — you’re actually part of the whole experience. The shark tank? Bub… unreal. Those things glide by you like they own the ocean, and honestly, they kinda do. One of the coolest tanks I’ve ever seen, and I’ve looked at a lot of fish in my day. Everything was clean, the animals looked healthy, and the staff was as friendly as a Mainer handing you a whoopie pie at a potluck. You can tell they really care about the place. We had a wicked good time and would go back in a heartbeat. If you’re anywhere near Tampa, don’t be a chowderhead — go check it out. Totally worth it!

Bro. This aquarium is awesome. I live near the Baltimore aquarium and this aquarium blows the Baltimore aquarium out of the water. Very clean and super friendly staff. The only regret I have is that I was only able to spend one day here. If you go, please tell Saaba I said hi and give him a pet on the head for me. Also , i recommend putting a live camera in the cypress swamp pointing at the bottom of the stairs.

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg, FL offers a scenic drive with stunning views of Lower Tampa Bay. It's a popular spot for fishing and also provides access to nearby attractions like the Salvador Dali Museum and Tropicana Field for baseball games. The bridge, constructed in the late 1980s, spans over 4 miles and reaches heights of 190 feet above the water to accommodate boat traffic below.
Crossing the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is beautiful any time of day with open water and views all around. Downtown St. Petersburg is visible in the distance with downtown Tampa even farther away. It’s especially nice at sunset when the colors reflect off the water. An impressive drive that really shows off the areas scenery.

Driving across country was a goal of mine.I have seen many great sights and experienced many things. But the Sunset Skyway Bridge tops the cake. Beautiful all around and worth paying to go down the piers and see the sights.

This bridge is great fun to drive across. If you have time to go out on the beautiful pier for fishing or sunset views, it's worth it. The sentiment from the gate guard to the end is chill and happy. The beautiful Spanish Mackerel, drained, washed and kept in ice and cooked within 24 hours from hook to pan was absolutely delicious fried on setting 4 in herbed butter (similar to yellowtail or whitefish). I added a tiny bit of salt, pepper, garlic, dill and cumin. The deliciously fresh clean flavor was amazing! I wish I had brought home more to freeze!

I don't think I'll ever get tired of those views... I used to do the commute from Bradenton to St. Pete back in the day... I was always appreciative of my commute. That was probably the only time in my life were I was in awe of my commute... lol. It was one of those rare occasions where I was thankful for everything! I got to drive across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on a regular basis! Occasionally I'd exit the rest stops just to admire the scenic views, especially the Sunsets and sometimes the Sunrise as well. Driving over the bridge was SO surreal....

We visited the bridge after 8 PM, excited by many reviews recommending the night view for the lighting effects. From about a mile or two away, the bridge looked stunning lit up and full of promise. But as we got closer, we were disappointed to find that the lights were only underneath the bridge on the pillars, not along the top or on the iconic cables. It didn’t match what we had imagined. We wish we had visited during the daytime or around sunset, which probably would’ve became a memorable day of our life. Still, an impressive piece of engineering worth seeing, just time your visit right!

Pretty cool bridge, if you embrace the concept of bridges. The view was amazing, if you embrace the concept of eyes. If you want to see a dolphin they're there, if you embrace the concept of dolphins. I believe in bridges, eyes, and dolphins, so it was a good choice to save a big drive around the bay.

The lady on the plane told us about this bridge. Going across it I didn’t really see what the whole hype was about. There are two really unique fishing piers ,one when you start and when we end, I guess that’s where the old bridge was. Looks like a nice bridge.

Nestled at the northern tip of Anna Maria Island, Bean Point Beach is a serene haven that boasts expansive sandy shores and calm waters, perfect for unwinding. This hidden gem offers breathtaking views of Passage Key, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and St. Pete's skyline—ideal for those picturesque sunset moments. However, accessing this tranquil spot requires some effort; parking can be tricky as it lacks typical public beach amenities.
We love this spot. The water is emerald colored and clear. You don't have trash or the amount of people like what you would find at a public beach. The people are friendly and polite. It is a very family oriented beach. I highly recommend giving it a visit.

We absolutely love Anna Maria! Bean Point Beach is absolutely stunning! It’s a family friendly beach… quiet, clean and so much great things to do on the island. The waters are crystal clear on good days and great for family with small kids since there aren’t really big waves (at least when we’ve gone). We’ve been to many beaches on the west coast of the Gulf, and AMI is our #1 fave. Take the trip… so worth it!

Wow! Visited this place mid-November and it couldn't be more perfect. The water was slightly cool, had to keep moving to stay warm. There were so many seashells, full ones! My daughter was able to save full sand dollars for her scrapbook. The sand is so soft, it feels like kids kinetic sand! So powdery, the sunset left us speechless. Come see this beautiful spot.

Absolutely gorgeous, only downside the parking is horrendous. Lots of beautiful shells and the water were gorgeous. I took engagement photos here, and they're beautiful. We spent about 5 hours at the beach. It was pretty packed, especially for a Tuesday afternoon. I recommend being there early for decent parking and spots on the shore.

City Pier Grill and Bait is a charming seafood spot located on the historic Anna Maria City Pier. The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere with live music, happy hour specials, and stunning views of the bay and local fishermen at work. Despite its slightly weathered appearance, the restaurant's authenticity shines through, providing an unforgettable dining experience. Additionally, visitors can also enjoy browsing the bait shop for fishing essentials while savoring freshly caught fish or juicy burgers from the menu.
This is not a restaurant, it is order at the window and then eat at tables outside or walk along the pier. You have to walk across a pier from the main road to get there and then there is ocean view and people fishing. There is next to no parking where the pier starts, so either you get lucky or will have to park on the road somewhere further and walk. The quality of the food is decent, same as what you would probably get at most of the restaurants, (priced that way too) and the service is pretty quick. Beer and wine here too, reasonable priced about $5. Fried coconut shrimp was very good, grouper bites average. Would recommend if you want food quick without waiting too long and to walk around or sit outside, but not if you want an actual restaurant or be served.

So.... BE ADVISED, take your hard earned money and vacation time where you get much more bang for it... EVERYTHING in Anna Maria Island is in RUINS and the municipality is DRAGGING their feet to redo it... Not fix it(its gone with the wind/HURRICANES) Now then, the spaces for parking are extremely limited and if you step out of their line you get a (drummer roll pls) A TICKET, $50.00 and after a few days it creeps up to $65.00 and then $150.00😳areas shown in tbe photos are areas that could it been turn into parking spaces but they decided not too. There's also nice places like Caladesi(plenty of parking for a nominal small fee all day) and from there you can take the small ferry and jump to Honey moon Island, and thats a better area and no traffic ENFORCERS playing ninja behind a tree watching you🤔🤣

This was the perfect spot to chill out and enjoy a bite to eat. You feel as if you are on private Island . Because of the location and the open structure of the venue. They also had karaoke. It was a great experience.

The pier is no longer there because of the hurricane. Standing at the shore and looking out to where it had been, was a beautiful memorial.

One of the highlights of our trip. Amazing pier walk to the restaurant (we saw a fever of stingrays on our second visit and several up close pelican experiences). Grouper bites were delicious and they have the most amazing Hibiscus Iced Tea. Cashier on 4/18 was so nice and friendly (cashier on return visit [blonde female] was sitting down and acted like I was bothering her with my order). Servers were extremely friendly. There was a local artist playing guitar and singing that just sealed the deal on making an AMAZING atmosphere.

At first, I was skeptical because there is just a fast food order station and no restaurant and limited beer/wine options. However, if you are looking for SIMPLE, the live music on Saturday, the fried shrimp and fries were some of the best I’ve ever had! Seriously, the breading on the shrimp was a little peppery and super yummy. Plus, the view is amazing! And the fisher people fishing for shark - YES SHARK - are fun entertainment 😁

Beautiful place! Wished we could have tried the food! We arrived at 9 to find out they stopped serving food other than drinks and desserts at 9pm but online it said open until 10pm, but didn't specify food stopped at 9pm. Also a bit nerve wracking for that long of a pier to a restaurant with no railings!!! I have kids that cannot swim and I was a bit nervous for there safety with so many people crossing at once.

Had a great lunch at the City Pier Grill and Bait. The tacos for taco Tuesday were good! Pork was a tad dry but the ingredients were fresh. The hush puppies were excellent and the orange butter served with it is phenomenal. Chowder is very tasty and fried clams were tasty and not overly greasy. Friendly employees and a great view to top it off.

The well-maintained facilities add to the positive atmosphere, making it an enjoyable shopping destination. Best store by far is all star elite. It’s right next to the Nike outlets. They have really good deals. Custom T shirts. Hats. Jeans. Jerseys. Definitely worth checking them out

It's typically packed weekdays/weekends regardless of when you go. Good selection of stores. A little tiny area for kids to play by the food court which was nice to spend a few minutes at with my kiddo.
S G — Google review
We went on a weekend and it was not crowded and it had different shopping options with great discounts available for buyers. Along with different shopping lots present in Ellenton, there is also plenty of parking options available, which makes it easier for buyers to shop and park easily.

very clean and well maintained, lots of parking, lots of shops, clean restaurants and restrooms. The benches outdoors to sit on are nice and shaded. We just so happen to go on a day that the fighter jets were flying for the bucs game, that was cool to watch in the sky

It's a nice place and big, there are clothes of all brands and good deals, and it has a dining area, the only detail is that there's not a technology store, only clothes stores

Terrific mall! Absolutely love the Lucky Brand store. Overall a great place to find some decent deals with a variety of stores. Biggest issues: 1. You have to Pay to park closer to the front. Feels very nickel and dime for an already failing industry. 2. Food court needs a heavy overhaul. It is dark and dingy with not a lot of great nor healthy options.

Ellington. Premium Mount. It’s always has a wide variety of amazing deals that I find extraordinarily unbeatable. Come to see them today. Find the shoes. You need the clothes you don’t and everything from here to their in between and all around. Come see us today at Ellington outlet malls. Enjoy the minion shops here, and you will find a great deal. I guarantee you. If nothing else you have a beautiful time, enjoying the lovely scenery and ladies.

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art

Art museum
Nature & Parks
The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is a state art museum established by the circus magnate, featuring 31 galleries housed in a pink Renaissance-style palace. Founded by John Ringling and his wife Mabel, the museum showcases over 10,000 items including European and American artworks, Asian art, contemporary pieces, decorative arts, and circus memorabilia. The building itself is an architectural attraction modeled after the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
If it's a cloudy Monday, you know where to go. Admission is free. Of course, some areas require a fee, but you decide based on what you like. For me, the circus museum is worth the basic $25 ticket price. It takes about 2 hours. Comfortable shoes are recommended, as there's a lot of walking involved. The building was inspired by the famous Italian city of Venice. The palace's style is Venetian Gothic. It was their home. Her gardens also indicate where she spent her time. The Ringling Circus performed shows all over America, traveling by train from one place to another, and was very famous. So, you decide on the tickets yourself, or whether to immerse yourself and decide later.
Maria K — Google review
Thinking this is just a museum dedicated to the circus wrong. of course there is circus memorabilia in two buildings that take you back to your childhood, but there is also the mansion from John and Mabel Ringling, and there is also an art museum with some of the most incredible paintings You have seen in the most amazing building. The property is lush and beautiful. I highly recommend a visit.

My husband and I visited here earlier in the year it was such a cool experience. So much beautiful art, history, lovely gardens, and so much more. This is the kind of place you wander around all day long. The banyan trees are the largest we’ve ever seen in FL. It was kind of disappointing that the rose garden was under construction but I guess we’ll just have to come back again. The staff were all helpful and shared lots of cool information. The cafe was cute but a little over priced so we decided not to eat there. Thank you for an amazing time. This is a great spot to take cool pictures. We were very impressed by the miniature circus.

This place has so much richness to offer! Ensure to leave yourself ample time to enjoy the entire 65 acres of this Museum. The garden is beautiful and so is the 🎭 🖼️ building. The circus 🎪 history. Great place if you're an arts enthusiast. Bonus: catch the sunset on Thursdays they close at 8PM last photo!
Sterling O — Google review
The museum and grounds are stunning. The lovely art is displayed in beautiful grand rooms. Docent Larry was ever so knowledgeable about the history of John Ringling . Jody, another kind docent, a true look a like to Julia Roberts, the actress , was so friendly , as well. The museum has so much to see and read about the art, a true memorable experience. A must “ go to” if you are in Florida… bring the kids, let them view art and learn some history, then they can run around on the playground near the rose gardens. Try to go near sunset, like on Thursday’s 5’O Clock deal… and capture a picture as the sunsets with the Greek garden sculptures are in full view.

Loved this place. There is a lot to do here. We ran out of time. It is set in a beautiful garden but there is a lot of renovation going on at the moment. Our favourite bit was the circus. It was fun to learn about the history and the miniature circus was just amazing.

Beautiful 66 acre property with museum, art gallery, castle and manicured grounds. Bring your walking shoes because you will definitely get all of your steps in for the day. To see it all plan to spend at least 5 or more hours here. Highly recommended. 👍🏽 🤡 🎪🤹🎠
MrsNikoleMD — Google review
We were there for 3 hours! So much to see! Amazing 🤩. The only let down was the Ca' d'Zan house. They charge extra to go there but you cannot go to the second floor currently, and they don't say it upfront....you find out when you get there! Charging full price to see half the house is dishonest...let people know upfront and let them decide. Despite that, the grounds were beautiful, the museum art was stunning ✨ and the circus museums were so fun and interesting to look at and learn the history of the circus 🎪.

Such a fun time. They've really expanded since the first time I went about 10 years ago. I REALLY want one of the goats! I found one I loved ...I named him Oreo. See pic. Only complaint was the train. It went off track at least twice while we were there. It was hot standing in line only to be turned away. Either way, still a 5-star day.

I visited Hunsader Farms in Bradenton for their Pumpkin Festival and it was a great way to spend a fall day. The pumpkin fields had plenty of good picks, the hayrides were relaxing, and the corn maze added some fun adventure. The petting zoo and playground were nice for kids and the food stands had everything from roasted corn to funnel cakes and fresh lemonade. The smell of everything cooking really set the fall atmosphere. Parking was easy and the festival felt well organized without being too crowded. It’s a laid back family spot where you can take photos, enjoy the weather, and just have a simple fun day outdoors. If you’re looking for a fall outing around Bradenton, Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival is a solid choice for good food, family time, and that seasonal small-town feel.

The Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival is hands-down one of the best fall events in Florida! 🎃🍂 Every year it seems to get better — from the incredible food vendors (the roasted corn and homemade pies are a must!) to the live music, craft booths, and family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone. The pumpkin patch is picture-perfect, and the kids love the petting zoo, pony rides, and train. It’s such a fun way to kick off the fall season — even in sunny Florida, you can feel that cozy autumn vibe here. Parking is well organized, staff are super friendly, and everything is clean and well run. We make it a tradition every year, and it never disappoints! Highly recommend for families, couples, and anyone looking for some classic fall fun. 🍁👏

So much fun! My husband and I went for the pumpkin festival and had so much fun! There’s lots to do just make sure you bring cash as it’s cash only + 5$ parking & 15$ tickets. Lots of food vendors, cute animals, big pumpkin patch, live music, activities and vendors! We had so much fun and can’t wait to come back for more of their events!
M — Google review
So fun but bring your own water, they don't have many vendors that sell any. Also, lots of sunlight so bring a hat or some kind of shade. The pumpkin cannon is cool and the cats are so sweet!
Nicole D — Google review
You pay 5 bucks to park and 15 dollars to get in per person then you have to walk along way from the parking lot which is in the middle of a field to the gate. It has alot of things to do there but most of it costs money. I did get to see some birds and other wildlife. They seemed like they were miserable. They should probably update the facilities for the animals if they want to show them there every year. Lot of food vendors there but of course thats high too. 15 for a cheeseburger. I dont think I will be going back next year.

Additionally, the facility provides educational opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn about marine life and interact with various sea creatures.
We visited from Arizona and this stop did not disappoint. I enjoyed all the exhibits and the educational graphics. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a great time and we will definitely be visiting again the next time that we are visiting family in Bradenton. My parents really enjoyed the touch pool and the sea turtles. I enjoyed watching the amphibians.

Very nice aquarium! Loved the renovation. The food court had an excellent range of food options. The manatee, penguins and otters were my kid's favorite.

I had a really great time at this aquarium, and I definitely would come again. There are two main buildings, the building with fish and other attractions like a preserved giant squid and a virtual reality experience, and a building with mammals like manatees and turtles. Once you pay for a ticket, you can enter both of these buildings. I suggest starting at the main building, and when you finish, follow the path marked with paintings of fish, and you can find your way to the mammal building. There's also a bird sanctuary, which is free entry. You can spend a decent amount of time there, so if you don't want to spend any money, it's a great option. This place is great for anyone of any age, and the elevators for accessibility make it a very open experience for anyone of any demographic. I highly recommend this place if you want to learn about marine life or just enjoy your day viewing interesting sea creatures.

Super cute little aquarium, I heard they're expanding recently as well? (I went a few years ago). Have a focus on sea turtles and rescue/rehabilitation of them. Can also see dolphins, manatees, a variety of fish and marine life, and a VERY NICE otter exhibit, the otters have a nice waterfall, clear clean water and lots of toys!

I’m very happy to know they are moving to newer and nicer / larger building soon! This will be amazing for them since you always have to walk to the building across the street. People are so friendly and so nice, we Love the people working and volunteering here! There was an older gentleman who took the time to explain to us how their giant squid ( found dead and now being preserved ) came to the facility. He was an amazing story telling and so knowledgeable about these creatures! We can’t wait to come back but now to the new facilities!

Was hoping to see the new aquarium. However, this one open til July 6th. It is inside and out and allows us to see some amazing sea life. Worth a visit. However, the new place should be awesome. This takes a good 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Does have a café.

We took our grandchildren here during a vacation. We enjoyed the educational experience. It is kid friendly and a great place for them to explore the wonders of the sea. Staff are knowledgeable and approachable. They enjoy educating the visitors, especially the children. There are hands-on activities for the littles. It is not overwhelming big, the perfect size for the children. The bird sanctuary and manatees are a short walk and worth it.
Valerie R — Google review
Every Monday during summer your child gets to learn about conservation while touching, catching and releasing different sea creatures. No fee but must be registered and needs to be with a parent. Mote has a hidden gem behind the building where they host weddings etc. this is where they are hosting their educational conservation series. Mote used to also honor SNAP discounts but I haven't tried since they moved to the fancy new location. This is such a great place and so important for Florida for the animals and for the next generation.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens Downtown Sarasota is a 7-acre bayside showcase for tropical plants, featuring a conservatory and garden museum. It is dedicated to the research of orchids, epiphytes, and bromeliads. The gardens boast premier collections of native and tropical plants, trees, mosses, and colorful outdoor gardens.
This was one of the most beautiful botanical gardens I've been to in Florida, I had a wonderful time. There's a greenhouse with plants at the front, and it leads to an outdoor area with more plants and a cafe. The cafe was wonderful, they have flatbread, salads, tea, and more. They have some huge trees near the cafe that I personally thought were really cool. At the time I went, there was a George Harrison event that was themed like his album All Things Must Pass, and it was wonderful. There's a museum in the garden, and they had an exhibit all about Harrison and really beautiful photography. If you follow the path, there's a restaurant at the end. It has a very nice vibe and good service. Overall a wonderful experience, and I would come again.

Beautiful place to be. The parking is easy to navigate and there is a small gift shop below the garage. I explored the gardens and there were many butterflies out. There was a little cafe on the property and the women working the counter was very kind. There is a beautiful banyan tree with bridges and things for children to play with like musical instruments. There is a lovely gazebo where it looks as though wedding as held inside with stained glass above which was very pretty. A peaceful place to walk 🌺.

We went to see the orchids and were duly impressed. The display was very nicely done. When my wife and I went to the intriguing exhibit by Rebecca Louise Law unfortunately, being sensitive to fragrances, I could not enjoy the display. We toured the rest of the grounds at a leisurely pace and enjoyed the shade and cool ocean breezes. Absolutely amazing place. The flora is exceptional.

So the grounds were beautiful, not up exactly to par with the Naples botanical garden. But a lot of great photo opportunities! — Siesta Key Beach Florida Review — I’ve been here 5 weeks ago. It is the best beaches I have ever been to. I definitely recommend going to this exact beach in Florida if you want Jacuzzi style relaxation. The water is really hot! When it’s sunny and humid, you will have to handle it going into the water will make it worse since it’s really hot. 5 star beach and definitely the best beaches I ever went to. Highly recommend!
Dennis G — Google review
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Siesta Beach is ranked among the top 10 best beaches in the U.S. every year — and of course, our family wanted to see if it really deserves the title. It absolutely does! All the photos online are real — not exaggerated at all. Parking: there are plenty of spots, though I imagine it might be tricky to find one during the busy season. There are also designated spaces for people with disabilities. Before reaching the main beach area, there’s a large shaded zone with a playground, picnic shelters, and showers. It takes about 5–7 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the beach. The sandy area is divided by a small service road where you can easily set up a tent or have a picnic. The sand is truly amazing — pure white, very fine, soft, and cool even on hot days. The ocean is a paradise for the eyes! The water color is stunning, even when there are waves. The entry into the water is smooth and safe, perfect for kids. There are lifeguards on duty and sheriff patrols, which makes you feel even safer. Highly recommend this beach for everyone — families, groups of friends, or couples looking for a beautiful and relaxing spot to enjoy the day. 💙

The sculptures were incredible as always.

Best beaches in the Sarasota area. Get there early if you want to find a parking spot. It is a very popular beach and people flock here. Plenty of space for grilling, a playground for the kids, and a few covered areas for large parties and to stay out of the sun.

Amazing dedication to all our brave veterans and soldiers that have defended this country so valiantly. If you are in the area, it’s a great place to stop for a little while to honor these amazing souls. We planted 25,000 flags for Memorial Day. It was a privilege and honor. 🙏🏼🇺🇸

Riding up to my grandfathers' burial was a sight to see. It's extremely gorgeous. When we began walking to the grave site we noticed that the workers had already begun to bury his ashes. Our family was surprised by this because they were under the impression that they could say their last goodbyes. About 15 minutes later we were sharing our memories, and a worker came by, stopped us to "verify" his grave. This was very disappointing. Our family was hurt and found that disrespectful. I do hope they treat the family of other veterans better than this.

My family and I want to express our profound gratitude to the staff at The Sarasota National Cemetery. On Thursday, we laid my father and his wife of over 40 years to rest, fulfilling his wish to be buried in a military cemetery as a proud veteran. From my very first phone call to the conclusion of the ceremony, the entire process was handled with remarkable efficiency and genuine kindness. The staff's professionalism and care provided great comfort during a difficult time, and we are grateful for a truly flawless experience.

The Sarasota National Cemetery is a truly serene and sacred place, serving as a final resting ground for our nation's heroes. Stepping onto the grounds, you are immediately enveloped by a profound sense of peace and tranquility. The cemetery's beautifully landscaped surroundings create a serene and comforting atmosphere, paying tribute to those who have served our country with honor and bravery. The attention to detail in maintaining the grounds is commendable. Lush green lawns, meticulously trimmed shrubs, and vibrant flowers create a picturesque setting. As you walk along the paths, you can't help but appreciate the care and dedication put into ensuring that every corner of the cemetery reflects the utmost respect for the fallen. The atmosphere at the Sarasota National Cemetery is one of reverence and gratitude. The rows upon rows of white marble headstones, standing tall and uniform, serve as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our military personnel. The sight is both humbling and awe-inspiring, leaving you with a deep appreciation for those who have served and protected our nation. One of the most striking aspects of the cemetery is the sense of unity and solidarity it evokes. People from all walks of life, from different generations and backgrounds, gather here to pay their respects and honor the memory of our fallen heroes. The grounds are immaculate and well kept. We will be coming here every year for my father’s birthday. He served in Vietnam and has one of the most beautiful burials in the wall, right under the giant flag.
Dara J — Google review
The cemetery is lovely and the grounds are very well kept. The office staff made the arrangements simple and stress-free, and the service was truly meaningful. My dad's service was perfect.

Nestled in the serene woods of Florida, Solomon's Castle is a remarkable creation that showcases the artistic vision of its late builder, Howard Solomon. This impressive medieval-style castle is constructed primarily from recycled materials and features an array of stunning metal sculptures and wood block paintings that reflect Solomon's genius. Visitors can explore various galleries filled with his artwork while also enjoying a delightful meal at the Boat-in-the-Moat restaurant, which offers both indoor and outdoor dining options.
It was great. The castle is made of scraps & other people's "junk". Howard Solomon was a genius. I do recommend it. The food at their restaurant was great. The castle is closed on Monday then August 1 and reopens October 1. It is out in the middle of nowhere though.

This is really a unique place to visit. We bought the package deal which included a tour of the castle, which was filled with unique objects made by Solomon, and a tour of Solomon's later creations and his antique car collection. Our tour was led by "Uncle Jimmy," who was entertaining and quite knowledgeable. It was quite an interesting experience and well worth the $39 per ticket that included both tours. Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at their on-site restaurant, The Boat on the Moat. The food was good as well, and my wife and I enjoyed our excursion to Solomon's Castle very much. It was well worth the time and money.

Absolutely loved it. Mr Solomon was an amazing artist. All his art is created from other people's trash. I can't begin to describe all the beautiful art in the castle which was also his home. Definitely worth a visit if you are a lover of all things creative. There are 2 small restaurants on the grounds and the food was very good. No inside photos are allowed so I will share my beautiful outside photos.

Was a whole surprise and definitely well worth it. Great staff, Good food and an exquisite ambiance surrounded by nature and the magic of Solomon’s art. We’re repeating again for sure. Highly recommended.

WOW! You could tour this place over and over and still not see everything! The guides are knowledgeable and friendly. This is a one-of-a-kind experience. See the genius artistry of a creative mind who "made stuff" by recycling trash to treasure. Don't miss this one! It's out of the way, but a beautiful drive. Plan to stay for a delicious lunch and enjoy the sweet gift shop, but bring cash; they don't take plastic.
Tina K — Google review
Nice spot will catch the museum at a later date as the tour a little more than I expected. We ate in the pirate ship . You could also eat outside or in a lighthouse. It was a cute experience and food was good and reasonably priced.

Fabulous Family Day out! We had a great time. Boat in the Moat restaurant was great, food was awesome! Shout out to Dean for taking the phone call that put my son's mind at rest 😁 Dean really took his job to the next level, big thank you❣️ Informative, fun and well worth the trip 👌
Kristee C — Google review
It is well worth the trip out there to see all the art and sculptures. It is not really a place for kids who like hands-on/interactive museums. I would suggest teens who are into art and sculpture and old cars. There is also a place to eat.

This place is great for soaking in those nature vibes! We got to see alligators, tortoise, deer, and so many different types of birds. The canopy is a very short walk from parking. Beautiful views! Great place for all ages! Only $6/vehicle

This is a wonderful observation deck which gives an incredible 360 degree view over Myakka State Park and the surrounding nature/hiking trails. The wooden structure was build by volunteers and is very well-made, although you can feel a slight sway at the top of the structure. There is also a nice suspension/wooden bridge that you can cross. This is great for kids and adults of all ages. There is a short trail that leads to the observation deck from the nearby parking area.
Mayur P — Google review
An inexpensive day trip. $6 for a carload. The 75 ft tower was worth the 'climb'. Lots of level of stairs. But easy to go up & down. Nice walkpath for a nature walk
Rae G — Google review
This is a good but quite short experience definitely worth seeing. It is just a quick stop and short walk as you gett in the park from the south end. There are a lot of stairs to climb but the view is impressive.
Simon L — Google review
Great place to bike or walk around. A fun walking bridge and a hike up many steps to the canopy view. We saw many alligators and birds. The boat tour was closed this season as the water is down 3 feet. Overall, a great family place to go.
Paula H — Google review
Came with our children and our parents, ages 6 to 72 and we had a great time! We drove through the park end to end first checking out the wildlife. We saw a wide variety of birds, several deer, and even a few alligators. After our "self led safari" our party of 6 walked the canopy walkway. The structure is very well maintained and easy to navigate. The six year old was the first to reach the top of the canopy, but you do feel the sway of the structure in the wind. The views from the peak observation platform are breathtaking, and worth the climb. We spent about 4 hours total exploring. For the $6 entrance fee (per vehicle) we highly recommend, it's worth the stop.
Kelly B — Google review
Beautiful and gators were active. I think this would be a place to bike, which we seen lots doing it. At the same time they need a bike lane because kids were in the middle with their parents and cars were trying to get around.
Douglas J — Google review
Great walk about experience. 100 steps so be ready. Also bring quarters if you want to use their view finder Short walk to the tower, and looping nature trail around too

Great for kids! Airboat tour with gators, birds, wild pigs in sight. Tram ride with excellent description of flora, fauna, and history. Great restaurant and gift shop. Camping facilities look nice and we'll kept. Many opportunities for walks and bicycle rides.

Excellent camp ground for youth scout camping and to the looks of it great for family camping. Gas stations within 15 min drive for ice and other things along with a Walmart about 20 minutes away. Great roads for bike rides and also plenty of good views with alot of alligator sitings. Make the 1 hr trip to peace river if you can and dig for some fossils when the water is low!

Wonderful campground with plenty of space.
Tim R — Google review
The campsite was huge and well cleared with plenty of flat spots for tents; the water out of the spigot was delicious and clean and didn't have that standard Florida sulfur taste; the state park staff was extremely accommodating and helpful; and the site was secluded from other campers. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Catania's Winery is a family-owned winery located near Englewood's Gulf of Mexico coastline in West Central Florida. Established in 2011, the winery offers high-quality full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc varietals produced on site. In addition to wine tastings featuring five of their own wines, visitors can also purchase olive oils and gourmet coffees or request a custom gift basket.
This was a great experience. We spoke to the owner/winemaker John. He was knowledgeable and had some great stories and information. All of the wines were very good, we had 5 types of wine and bought two bottles. The first press Olive oil was very delicious. The shop is small inside but had a lot of interesting items. The classroom was also on the small side, however; everything was organized and very clean. We'll back for sure when we come back to Englewood to visit my folks.

My husband and I stopped by during a trip for our 5th wedding anniversary in October and it was one of the highlights of our trip! John (the owner) is a fantastic and gracious host! He's incredibly knowledgeable about wine and a wonderful and entertaining gentleman to spend an afternoon with. The wine (and olive oil!) are amazing. Definitely worth a stop!

Here for a week on vacation. The owner John is absolutely wonderful and entertaining to boot. I like dry reds and I’m pretty picky about them, very good. I’m a club member at wineries back in Chicago and I must say these were just as good , some even better. My wife drinks sweet wines which he don’t make but these where so good that she enjoyed them as well. Thx John!

We tried 5 wines along with olive oil and balsamic glaze . It was excellent. John the owner is really down to earth and a lot of fun. We brought home some cabernet blend and can tell you this was a very enjoyable experience. We got to meet other couples during our tasting and it was a great time.

We have been to many wine tastings around the country, but Catanias Winery has been the most enjoyable. The owner/winemaker made THIS tasting the best. The wine is excellent!!!! Can't believe this treasure has been in our. backyard for 9 yrs and we just discovered it. Thank you, John, for a outstanding time!

Stopped in today for a quick wine tasting. The 4 of us learned so much and had an excellent time. The owner is an incredible person with great knowledge to share and he’s quite the entertainer as well. This is a must-do for anyone who enjoys wine. The wine is outstanding as well.

It is with sadness that I just learned of John Catania's passing. His hospitality, humor and knowledge of wine was the absolute best. He made you feel like family and always sat and chatted as you enjoyed his wine, olive oil and other Italian delights. I served his homemade sausage and received rave reviews! My only regret is that I did not stock up on his wine because it is the BEST! May the angels come to greet you, John and may your soul rest in peace. My condolences to the family. John was a true Sicilian!

Wonderful wines, vinaigrette and olive oil. The owner is very knowledgeable and shares his knowledge with you. Wednesdays they have dinners and I wish I had been able to go to that. The wines were delicious! Make sure you bring money or check with you as they don't take credit cards

Chadwick Park at Englewood Beach is a beautiful destination with white sandy beaches, boardwalks, playgrounds, volleyball and basketball courts, and picnic shelters. The area offers stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and opportunities for activities like kayaking, canoeing, fishing, birdwatching, and shark teeth hunting. Visitors can also explore the historic landmarks in the vicinity such as the Chadwick Beach Pavilion.
Beautiful beach, close walk from parking lot to water, plenty of good restaurants, bars and small shops in walking distance. Pay to park with ParkMobile app. There are usually less crowds at this beach, compared to other nearby Florida beaches. There are lots of shells to find, and shark teeth are common here too! This is a great spot for all ages.
Justin B — Google review
The parking is open again, but sadly the restrooms are not. Nothing but Port of John's lined up. The beautiful Boardwalk is gone there are still no basketball nets. No signs of anyone working on it besides the mowers and blowers who's blaring noise ruined the peace and solitude that you would expect to find at 7:30 in the morning. It's been a year, what's up Charlotte county?
Paradise L — Google review
Nice beach that is not crowded, but you will need to pay for parking, via your phone and CC. Found some fossils, enjoyed watching the storms roll by, in front and behind us. Decent facilities, bathrooms were clean, but really need a little more light inside. I recommend this venue to all who are looking for a quiet beach to relax on. *Note* Traffic can be a rough, leave plenty of time before and after your visit.
Jason O — Google review
Nice beach. Sand Is a bit more course than some of the other popular FLORIDA beaches. Sharks teeth wash down from Venice here. So a less crowded spot to look, not always quite as nice though. Pay to park. You need an app. Restrooms are a walk away. Not super close. They have a kiddy park before entering the beach area. It was closed when we went. Not sure why. No signs. Just yellow tape. Lots of seaweed. It was gone after a few days. Bad red tide. Also gone within a few days. Beware of jellies.
Jayda O — Google review
With all the red tide problems & rain I've missed going to the beach. So I had to go... I heard RED TIDE was starting to clear up & I wanted to see for myself. The beach was pretty deserted, maybe 4-5 small groups of people were there. I didn't smell anything, which was good but I did have persistent coughing for awhile. I didn't see allot of dead fish, 3 to be exact but I stayed in one area so there may have been more further down the beach. The water was a bit green as pictures show but no one was in the water. I hoped to find shells but no such luck there, workers who combed the beach for dead fish must've collected shells too. So I satisfied my curiosity about red tide clearing up, I believe it is but its not quite ready for normal population. I'll give it a few more weeks & try again.
Carol P — Google review
Unfortunately the tide brought in loads of brown reddish sea grass to the shoreline. Apparently the city should clean it up by the weekend. Also, today the beach was jammed packed around 2ish. Sadly the beach sand was a bit sharp due to excess cut up shells. The sunlight of course was delightful. We totally appreciated the waves splashing sounds too.
Zule K — Google review
A beautiful Florida beach: sandy mix with many shells and an occasional shark tooth. Very new and nice shaded playground, restrooms, boardwalks, picnic areas, basket ball, volleyball, and plenty of shops and restaurants close by. Parking is easy with a kiosk to pay by the hour, which was $.75/hr for us by credit card. The beach tends to get busy.
Shana T — Google review
Nice beach… lots of shells…parking is not free but it is cheap; across the street there a a few restaurants with in and outdoor seating and a few beachwear stores; bathrooms were decent (we went in the morning); the sunset was amazing

Stump Pass Beach State Park Manasota Key Florida $3 to get in small parking lot well secluded and so many shells...well worth it! Definitely do-able again and again!! If I lived here I would come here 3-4 times a week! The water was gorgeous and we saw some dolphins playing in the water! There might have been 40 people spread out here at this beach...so gorgeous w my cousin Shari

Awesome spot! There was a huge amount of shells from the recent storm. It was like 3 feet deep. There's shark teeth all over but you gotta figure out what to look for or you'll miss them. We saw a dolphin here and lots of birds. My son found a ton of sea slugs and baby fish. Very family friendly and peaceful. I'd recommend this spot!!

Beautiful area. Heard they are planning to fill in an area caused by hurricane Milton making access to tip of Stump Pass. Let nature be natural I say!

The staff was amazing 😍! Beautiful State Park, get there early and get in line for parking. Remember parking is limited and a privilege. Show courtesy and patience; some of us save up all year to take our family 20 minutes away.. We know it's not far. We live here year round and love our visitors; love us back ❤️. Thank you 😊

It's the most beatific beach in Florida! The sand and water were perfect. Great spot for shells.

Stump Pass is a nice beach. The parking area is small so if you don't get there early you might not be able to park. However, it also means it's not very crowded. The beach is on a sandbar area and on one side there were jellies swimming about. The staff there are super friendly and helpful and we found some really nice shells.
Kami G — Google review
One of the best kept not so secret beaches in the area. After the hurricane milton they had to move a lot of sand before they opened again, now its open and beautiful. Still under development in some parts but overall a great beach spot.
