Beaches
Bahia Honda State Park, located on Big Pine Key in the lower Florida Keys, is a renowned destination for beach lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. With three sandy beaches, including the acclaimed Calusa and Sandspur stretches, visitors can bask in the sun or partake in water activities like snorkeling and kayaking. The park's clear shallow waters make it an ideal spot for snorkeling right off the beach to observe diverse marine life.
Beautiful state park, which will allow you also to walk up onto the old bridge, although it doesn't let you go incredibly far. They have three separate beaches. As in other areas of florida, the water is clear, so you can see the fish in them and there are plenty of conch shells that you could find underwater, although be sure not to remove them! (They are protected.)

This is a great park with a beautiful beach on the Gulf side. The ocean side had a lot of dead smelly grass when we were there. It's the off season so not crowded. It's one of the few beaches in the keys. Snack shop is pricey tho. $10 for 2 ice cream sandwiches.
Denakel16 — Google review
Nice shallow Loggerhead beach. Small strip though and small amounts of shade. Due to wind couldn't rent umbrella but we did get a chair. Facilities nice and clean. Beautiful view of old bridge.
Roddy A — Google review
This is my wife's favorite Campground and park due to three fantastic beaches and shallow water 50 yd + that she can Wade out and hunt for shells. the campsites are well isolated and you feel like you're by yourself. the sites along the beach are excellent. However Beware of the no-see-ums they really like me.
Jill D — Google review
Multiple beach fronts and great swimming. Great for kids and adults alike. We went here a couple times, the location was excellent, between marathon and key west. Walk up the bridge, get some history and one of the highest points in the keys with great views in all directions.
Chris D — Google review
Its the most beautiful park in the keys. The views of the railroad and the water are breathtaking and the park is very clean. Highly recommend taking a stroll through the park and before you head off, grab a bottle of water as it gets rather warm despite the ocean breeze. Swimming is also available there and of course fishing if you are into that.
Carol M — Google review
On of the top places to stop visiting the Keys. We paid 9.00 to enter a trio of top-rated beaches. I am so glad we stopped and swam in the warm clear water. The Park Rangers were very friendly.
Gabriel A — Google review
I stopped here for a bit on the drive down to Key West. It was beautiful and peaceful. There was a terrible smell which is overwhelming when you first arrive, presumably from all the sea grass, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I wasn’t expecting to see all the sea grass piled up along the beaches, but the signs explained it’s an important part of the habitat. The view was pretty and I saw some lizards and butterflies. It was a nice place to stretch my legs. Note that there is a small fee to enter the park.

The Dolphin Research Center, established in 1984, is a non-profit marine mammal education and research facility. It offers various programs and activities for visitors to interact with dolphins, view sea lions, and learn about marine life. The center focuses on research and education but also provides entertaining dolphin shows. Visitors can participate in educational sessions every half hour or choose interactive programs such as swimming with the dolphins.
The Dolphin Research Center was absolutely amazing! They have around 26 different dolphins, each with their own personality, and it was so fun getting to learn about them up close. The experience was incredibly informative — you can tell the staff truly love what they do and care deeply for the animals. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly, helpful, and eager to share their knowledge. I’d definitely recommend going first thing when they open so you have plenty of time to explore and enjoy everything without feeling rushed. Such a fun and educational experience — highly recommend!
Melissa H — Google review
Last minute stop for me that turned out to be well worth the time! The dolphins here are well trained and there are several programs throughout the day that offer different types of learning opportunities and chances to see the dolphins doing tricks. I just did general admission and was able to experience a lot, but there are opportunities to meet the dolphins upclose as well!
Chris T — Google review
Spent a half day last week as a researcher. I learned so much about the dolphins and helped with different research activities throughout the morning. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. I was so impressed with how much they love and care for these dolphins. The dolphins are in charge and if they want to participate that’s great but if they aren’t feeling it then they can pass with no problem. Everyone cheers for the dolphins and encourages them like a mother would her child. Best experience I’ve ever had! I highly recommend this stop on your stay or travel through the Keys!! Flagler was my favorite dolphin💙. Special thank you to researchers Kristen and Sarah, you guys gave me memories and knowledge I will carry for a lifetime!
Becky W — Google review
We have been to the keys many times and for some reason never visited here. We LOVED IT! Man those dolphins are cool. RANGER WAS THE SWEETEST!! All the staff were very friendly and helpful too. We had a great time.
Jeffrey L — Google review
Very Disappointing Experience! We drove over 3 hours from and back to Miami on the same day of our flight, excited to give our kids what we thought would be an unforgettable, magical dolphin experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the exact opposite. We booked the Dolphin Splash session and paid $450 for three people, since adults are required to be in the water with their child — you can’t simply watch from the deck. The session was supposed to last 20 minutes, but we soon realized that two other families were part of the same session. It was not private as we expected. You’re also not allowed to bring your phone or camera near the deck, so the only photos you can get are taken by their photographer at $20 per picture — another disappointment. But the real issue was the condition of the water. It was extremely dirty and murky, with a terrible smell. You couldn’t see anything below the surface — only the parts of your body and the dolphins that were above the water. It felt completely unsanitary, but since the tickets were non-refundable, we had no choice but to continue. We ended up sharing the 20-minute session with the other families, taking brief turns interacting with the dolphins in this unpleasant environment. Overall, this was a huge disappointment — a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this experience to anyone. Update, This is and update to Reply on your response , Thanks for the reply but regarding that your team is there to help making choices, we did ask on the front desk if each of us will have his own 20minute session or all three of us will be in the same session together because after all it is 3 tickets and they said that we will be together in the same session and didn’t mention that other families will be there too!! About the deck being cleaned.. absolutely no!! The stairs we were so slippery that one lady from the other family slipped on her way down and they caught her even my kid slipped on his way down it looked like it haven’t been scrapped in years!! The trainer her self suggested to just sit down on the deck and jump in water instead of using the stairs!! I understand that water is part of the ecosystem but the minimum amount of maintenance and cleaning is supposed to take place for the sake of guests’ and Dolphins’ safety as well. Before the session they brought a broom and tried to scrap some of the algae off the stairs and the underwater deck but it was so much that they couldn’t.. about the photographer if it was for the safety of guests and dolphins then it should be included in the package not to be sold by picture !! Also no one told us it was for a separate fee until we asked !!

The dolphin research center was an really great and worth experience. A lot of rescue animals and an awesome crew. Main focus is to take care of the animals. The staff is awesome as well. We got a lot to see during the hourly activities which are free to join, like an „How is the life as an trainer for dolphins, etc.

Loved this place so much! Very knowledgeable staff and you get to be close up to so many dolphins. We just did the general admission but felt like we didn’t miss out on anything. We did all the presentations and talks. Very cool experience!

Bridges
The Old Seven Mile Bridge, located in the Florida Keys, is a historic and picturesque landmark. This seven-mile-long bridge is an impressive engineering feat that connects Knights Key to Little Duck Key. It consists of two bridges - one for pedestrians and another for cars. The Old Seven Mile Bridge was constructed in 1912 to link Pigeon Key to Knights Key, serving as a crucial transportation route for nearly six decades.
Free car parking anytime. Time we visited was in January where climate was very cool with drizzling rain and cloudy sky. Must visit place when key west is planned
Ajay K — Google review
The old seven miles bridge is worth the drive from Miami. It’s about 2.5 hours drive from downtown Miami. It’s great for either an early in the morning or late in the afternoon activity. The bridge starts at the end of Marathon key along the US1 southbound. There is a parking lot with about 20+ spots, otherwise you can park on the other side of the road. I enjoyed a lot the 4 miles round trip walk between Marathon and Pigeon key where the bridge ends. I wished I had a less cloudy day but overall I got a good weather.
Frank G — Google review
It's a nice walk, just make sure to use bug spray if you want to go early in the morning or late in the evening!
Savannah O — Google review
Nice views all the way to pigeon key. We rode bikes. It's 2 miles there and 2 back.
Rey K — Google review
A great spot to pull over & get in a walk, chill at one of the huts at ground level (accessible by stairs or a ramp) or to visit Pigeon Key. There's plenty of parking. Wear comfy shoes, lots of sunscreen & water. Really nice to see a history of the FL Keys still around.
BobaRoach 1 — Google review
Really long bridge, and you can observe sunset at the end of it. However it is recommended to arrive early to have parking space in this case.
Szabo A — Google review
If you are like me, I always wondered what the road was that lied next to the 7 mile bridge. Being able to walk the old railroad turned road to Pigeon Key was absolutely awesome. It is 2 miles one way. I highly reccomend bringing a water bottle and polarized glasses. We saw turtles and nurse sharks in the water from the walk! They have garbage cans every .2 miles which allows you to discard any trash you might have. Parking is simple, right off the 1 before the bridge and it is free!
Tyler B — Google review
Every visit to Marathon, the first thing we pack is our bikes for Old 7. Always a relaxing 4 mile bike ride whether at sunrise or sunset in the middle of the Gulf/Atlantic. A must do when in Marathon.

This is a fantastic spot to check out and come see all the neat stuff they have in their collection. Lots of different equipment and tons of interesting information. The staff were very friendly as well. Definitely recommend coming here, and your ticket is good for a whole week
Steven B — Google review
This museum features a really large private collection of diving gear with paragraph excerpts dating back to the early divers to modern day diving. One could easily spend 2-4 hours reading all of the info and examining the collection.
Savannah D — Google review
A must-see for any scuba diver visiting the Florida Keys! Even from the parking lot, there are already murals to photograph and things to see. The exhibit is the personal collection of a husband and wife team of scuba divers, who decided to share it with the world. There are collectors' items, books, and impressive educational exhibits regarding the history of scuba diving. My favorite part was a documentary about adaptive scuba diving, featuring a man with muscular dystrophy who chose to defy his limitations and try scuba diving! The exhibits are extremely well-done, and presented in a most aesthetically-pleasing way. The Hall of Helmets from all over the world is fascinating, accompanied by captivating narration by the museum owner. Also, the gift shop feels like part of the museum - it's that good! Staff is absolutely lovely. It's a wonderful addition to any holiday in the Florida Keys, and I highly recommend this one-of-a-kind museum.
G R — Google review
This is well worth the stop time, money whatever add it to you to do list even if your not a diver. Or maybe especially if you are a not a diver. I LOVED how everyone including the woman were included. Well thought out. PS if you can go on a day they have a tour DO IT...can I give it 6 ⭐...yes it is that good what a hidden gem,..and it is accessable!!♿

I was hesitant but after reading other reviews we decided to go. I’m glad we did! We had fun and it is very interesting to hear and read the history. We participated in the online scavenger hunt and their October pumpkin hunt which makes you be more observant. Worth the price!
Valerie N — Google review
Exceptional collection of history and diving artifacts that interested divers and non divers in our group. Our group of 7 spent two hours exploring the museum and several of us would go back. The helmet collection was astounding and the library was beautiful. The gift shop was great too, we loved the used book selection.
Alana D — Google review
I went on their Saturday guided tour. A curator and a retired US Navy diver led the tour. It is a small museum; probably an hour's worth of time if you are unguided and I think it was an 1.5 hour tour with a small presentation prior to entering the exhibits. The museum is comprehensive, showing pre-modern diving equipment from thousands of years ago, up to modern equipment from the 21st century. I thought it was interesting and as a recreational diver I enjoyed learning the history. Worth a visit!
William G — Google review
Great museum! It takes between 1 to 2 hours to walk through exhibits. More if you want to read with detail. Tons of history and great information about diving. They have a scavenger hunt for kids, which is great! We loved it! A must-see in the area!

With its tropical gardens and lagoons, it's an ideal destination for families.
Middle of June 2025, HOT. My wife and I went when to the park as it opened and it was very tolerable (weather wise). The shows run continuously with enough time to get from one to the next. We got in on a senior discount, around $50 with tax. OK! All the show were very nicely in the shade except the shark and alligator shows every thing was covered by trees and in the shade. I really don’t have to say much because my pictures and videos turned out great. Basically it’s definitely worth the money and bring the kids. Remember to go early in the summer. 😎

Theater of the Sea – An Experience Worth the Stop I’ve passed Theater of the Sea countless times without going in, and now I wish I hadn’t waited so long. This place is a true treasure. The moment you arrive, you can feel the love and care the trainers have for the animals. Every show is more than just entertainment—it’s a chance to learn, connect, and see the genuine bond between the staff and the animals they look after. The dolphin and sea lion shows were the highlights for me—fun, interactive, and full of fascinating facts. The entire park is beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere feels warm and personal, not overly commercial like some other attractions. I also appreciated the focus on conservation and habitat protection. You don’t just leave with great memories—you leave inspired to care more about the ocean and its wildlife. If you’ve ever driven by and thought about visiting, don’t wait. Theater of the Sea is an unforgettable experience you’ll be glad you made time for.

Theater of the Sea was such a fun and unforgettable experience! The park is beautifully maintained, and the shows are both entertaining and educational. You can really tell the animals are well cared for, and the staff are so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. We especially loved the dolphin and sea lion shows—so interactive and fun for both kids and adults. The whole experience felt very personal and engaging, not overly commercial like some other parks. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the Keys—it’s perfect for families and animal lovers alike!

Had the best experience here with my kids. I have passed this place for years and have never stopped by and feel like I missed out for so long. The trainers are so loving and caring. They all genuinely love the animals they look after. The shows were wonderful and informative and appreciate all the car and love put into taking care of these sweet animals. I love all the information regarding protecting the habitat and being an informed member of society.

All the shows were amazing and educational.. my kid loved the dolphin show and parrot show a lot. Parrots were well trained and could even do basic addition and subtraction 😀😀 I would definitely recommend taking your kid here if the kid is interested in pets and animals in particular. Very informative and very well explained.

5/5. Park isn’t huge and can do it in a few hours, but the experience is incredible. The kids loved the shows and is priced right. We would definitely come back. The gift shop is also priced right.

Dolphins Plus Bayside in Key Largo offers an exhilarating chance to engage with and observe Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in a captivating natural lagoon setting. The facility provides various levels of dolphin swims, allowing visitors to interact with these intelligent creatures while learning about marine conservation from the knowledgeable staff. Guests can opt for the Signature Swim, which involves a shallow water introduction followed by a deeper swim, or the Shallow Water Dolphin Encounter.
We had a great time here and spent Thanksgiving day of 2022 swimming with the dolphins. It was remarkable how they felt and what they could do for being so young was fantastic. We got the picture package and once we could figure out how to get them downloaded, it was easier. Met some amazing women from Europe that day. Grateful.

The dolphin encounter was a dream for me! Dolphin Plus made it real for me. Our family of 4 really enjoyed the experience. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The facility was well kept. We enjoyed swimming with the dolphins and watching them interact in their environment. Highly recommended- once in a lifetime experience for us! Thank you Dolphin Plus!

If you are going to the Keys, you need to check this place out! And pay the extra to do the Signature Swim! That allows you to swim out in the deep water and interact with the Dolphins. They'll either push you around by your feet, or pull you around by the dorsal fin. It's definitely a once in a lifetime experience! And all the Dolphin trainers were also excellent as well as very friendly! (The video and pictures were after we were out of the water! The Dolphins, Bob and Leo were just hanging around, being curious!)

Captain Russ was an outstandingly knowledgeable tour guide of the mangroves, aquatic wildlife and native birds. He spent the time to answer questions and went the extra mile to call me back after our tour when we didn’t see any manatees, when a heard showed up at their dock after we left. I finally got to see a manatee after 20-30 trips to Florida!

Great experience, we paid for the "third" experience and was totally fine with that. Even the photos were great. Just the price was a bit higher than expected but overall, it was fine. Staff and dolphins super friendly

Jackie and her team were amazing! For our daughter's big double digit Birthday fun this year, we had a Dolphin encounter experience at the Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder Center in Key Largo. It was AMAZING for all of us. We were educated about what their non for profit organization does, how they are researching to gain a deeper understanding of how dolphins communicate differently with their siblings, and parents, versus other dolphins. We also learned that they are fundraising to build an emergency room in Islamorada in order to prevent long travel times when they encounter severely injured mammals, as they currently have to travel to Tampa or Orlando for intensive care. The 2 dolphins we had the honor of playing and swimming with were BB, a 13 year old girl, and her sibling Jet, an 8 years old boy. They were both born in captivity, and are very well taken care of by their caregivers, and researchers. It felt so surreal to be in their presence, and to engage, and interact with them. ❤️😊🏝️🐬🙏

Park
John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, also known as the 'Grand Canyon of the Keys,' is an undersea park established in 1963. It covers around 178 nautical square miles and is home to a diverse range of marine life, including fish, lobsters, and colorful living organisms that make up the reef. The park offers opportunities for snorkeling, glass-bottom boat tours, kayaking, and camping along with gear rental for various aquatic activities.
A shorter version suitable for a Google Review could read like this: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is absolutely breathtaking! The staff were friendly, professional, and deeply passionate about preserving this beautiful environment. We took the snorkeling tour and were amazed by the colorful coral and sea life. The park is clean, well-organized, and offers so much to explore—from glass-bottom boat rides to peaceful mangrove kayak trails. A true Florida Keys treasure and a must-visit for anyone who loves nature and the ocean!

The Park was such a great experience and the perfect start to our Florida Keys road trip. We rented a double kayak and, even without any experience or navigation skills, we were able to follow the recommended route easily on our own. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, so we felt comfortable and safe the entire time. It’s a wonderful place to explore independently and to enjoy the beautiful nature. Just make sure to bring sunscreen and mosquito spray – there can be quite a few mosquitoes in the mangroves, but luckily the park’s own shop has you covered if you forget anything!

John Pennekamp State Park is an absolute gem in the Florida Keys! This place is so cool, with stunning natural beauty that's perfect for sightseeing. We loved exploring the trails that wind through the lush mangroves—it's like stepping into a tropical adventure. There's a convenient boat ramp for easy access to the water, plus clean showers and bathrooms that make it super family-friendly. A food truck onsite kept us fueled with tasty bites, and the beach area is ideal for relaxing or dipping your toes in. Kayaking here was a highlight, gliding through the clear waters spotting marine life, and the walking paths are great for a leisurely stroll. It's the perfect spot to spend an entire day immersed in nature—highly recommend! 5 stars!

Kayaking at John Pennekamp State Park was amazing! The mangrove trails were peaceful and beautiful, with clear water and tons of wildlife all around. It felt like an adventure and a relaxing escape at the same time. The park is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

What makes this place special? The "Diving Capital of the World" Key Largo is the first and largest of the Florida Keys, renowned worldwide for its incredible underwater ecosystem. This location is a paradise for marine enthusiasts, home to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park—the first underwater park in the U.S.—and key dive sites like the Molasses Reef and the impressive USS Spiegel Grove shipwreck. Beyond the water, its unique location offers access to the tropical hardwood forests of Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammocks State Park. It’s the perfect blend of seaside relaxation and serious ocean adventure. Tips for Fellow Local Guides: For Divers/Snorkelers: Mention that the Christ of the Abyss statue is a must-see. The shallow reefs are excellent for beginners and snorkelers, while certified divers can explore the deeper wrecks. Dining: Key Largo is famous for its sunset views. Advise visitors to find a bay-side restaurant (Gulf side) around sunset for the best dining experience. Fresh seafood is a given, especially the local catch-of-the-day. Accessibility: As the closest Key to the mainland, it's easily accessible from Miami (approx. 1-2 hour drive). The Overseas Highway (US-1) is the main route. Note that public beaches are limited, so water activities usually start from marinas or parks.

Visiting John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park was an unforgettable experience. The park is absolutely beautiful and offers something for everyone—whether you want to snorkel, dive, kayak, or just relax and enjoy nature. The coral reefs are vibrant and full of life, with colorful fish, sea turtles, and other marine creatures everywhere you look. Snorkeling over the Christ of the Abyss statue was truly breathtaking and felt like a once-in-a-lifetime moment. The facilities are well-kept, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly, always willing to share tips and make sure you have a safe, enjoyable visit. I also appreciated the glass-bottom boat tour, which was a great way to see the reef without getting in the water. The park itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a peaceful atmosphere. It’s easy to spend a full day here exploring, picnicking, or just soaking in the beauty of the Florida Keys. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area—this place is a true gem and a must-see!

Best experience ever, do not skip this! We booked snorkelling here, and it was one of the best experiences we had in Florida. The staff were very helpful and rescheduled our snorkelling trip with no fuss when we were running late. The boat takes you through the canals out into the sea, where we got to see dolphins on the way! At the coral reef you get to see all sorts of tropical fishes, turtles, and the beautiful coral. The boat trip out is 35minutes, and you get to snorkel for an hour. All equipment can be hired, including prescription masks, however because of the shape of them, they don’t fit as well on small faces. Onboard the boats they also had fresh drinking water and plenty of mineral coral-reef safe suncream. Our crew was Tai and Adam, they were very experienced, and provided good education about the coral reef, and great snorkelling tips. They were really friendly guides. We did have to pay an entrance fee of $9 for 2 people to get into the park. The park had good changing facilities and showers (bring towels) and plenty of parking too, although there was limited shade. They recommend to arrive an hour earlier than your departure time, which is needed to have enough time to get into the park, check in and get your equipment. In conclusion, this is a great experience that I would highly recommend.

Everglades Alligator Farm is a family-owned attraction offering an exciting airboat tour through the Everglades and a leisurely walk around the farm to observe alligators, crocodiles, caimans, and various wildlife species. The farm also features an impressive collection of local and exotic snakes. It's a great place for families to experience the unique construction of Coral Castle, which was built over 20 years by one man using homemade tools.
Absolutely loved the experience! The airboat ride added a touch of thrill as we cruised through the river and spotted wild gators in their natural habitat. After that, we explored the park, which features different species of alligators and other fascinating animals. It was both fun and educational. The ticket was $40 — totally worth it. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. A must-see!

So fun! It’s a smaller place, which we loved because it allows you to really spend time seeing everything without taking an entire day up. Tyler the alligator handler was awesome! Very informative and I loved that he truly seemed to care about everyone having a good experience. People stood up in front of others, blocking their view of the experience, and Tyler was on top of it at all times. Our airboat ride was excellent!! I wish I remembered the drivers name but he made it a blast for everyone on board. He did some really fun 180/360 turns and we never felt unsafe, he did an amazing job! We even got to try some gator bites at the little food truck in the park. Everything here was awesome and I highly recommended it! When you go, bring a little cash to tip the guys if you can, it’s not expected but they work so hard to make sure we all had an enjoyable experience.

We booked a private tour and had the absolute pleasure of being guided by Luke — he was fantastic! Not only did he teach us so much about the Everglades, but he also took us to some incredible spots and even let us step out and put our feet in the water. It was such a memorable experience! If you're looking for an airboat adventure into the Everglades, I highly recommend Everglades Alligator Farm. The tour was exciting, educational, and truly one-of-a-kind!

What a fun time at the Everglades alligator farm!! The airboat tour was very fun and if you enjoy water activities look no further! We sat in the front of the boat and that’s the most fun and enjoyable way to experience the airboat thrill! The staff and airboat captains were fun and friendly. If you are looking to get the full Everglades experience this is the place to do that!!

Highly recommend this place for families, friends, or anyone visiting the area. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I highly recommend this Everglades Alligator Farm for a nice day trip from Miami area. This place is amazing , we did the general admission tickets, as well as the private alligator encounter. The staff here are very knowledgeable and clear animal lovers. They did a great job of showcasing all the animals and gave lots of fun facts. Big shout out to Stephanie who was our alligator encounter guide. She was incredible and did a great job of showing us the animals. We spent about two hours here. I recommend sitting in the front row of the airboat for the ride for the full experience. Don’t miss out on their capybara exhibit, bobcats and terrarium. And you can stop by the Robert is here fruit stand on the way home for a yummy treat!

The airboat tour was the best 20 minutes spent all week. Speeding through the everglades is so so thrilling. Worth wearing fast drying clothes to sit in the front of the boat and lift your feet when the drive is doing 180 or 365 degree turns.

Everglades National Park is a tropical wetland that offers close encounters with alligators, crocodiles, and various bird species. Visitors can enjoy a 2-hour tram tour to explore the park's diverse wildlife. The park was constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers and serves multiple purposes including flood protection, water supply for the park, preservation of wildlife habitat, navigation facilitation, and recreation. However, changes in land use and population growth have led to significant degradation of the natural ecosystem.
A must see. We entered the everglades through the shark valley entrance. You can rent bikes or pay for a tour via trams. We rented the bikes. The land is low there was no elevation. It made for easy biking. There was a nice gift shop and I purchased a Christmas ornament for 6$, good price. You can buy hats, shirts, ice cream, souvenir type things. You can refill water bottles outside of the gift shop. There are bathrooms.

We had a good experience but soon arrival we didn’t get any help from the people in the small white building. We walked next door to get a boat ride. Times for boat rides were not easy found. Only saw not saying 8:45. Not sure what that meant. Second place is pictured. We had a great tour guide Bryan. He was knowledgeable about the Everglades and we enjoyed hearing his stories. We didn’t see any gators due to the water level but still had a great time. We didn’t see a dolphin. Something, we would do again for sure!

The Everglades National Park is a truly wonderful place. Every trail feels unique, and everywhere you look there’s something beautiful to discover — alligators, different kinds of turtles, fish, and birds, not to mention the fascinating vegetation and stunning aquatic flowers. In short, a unique experience and an absolute must-do. A special mention goes to the park staff, who, despite the reduced numbers due to the shutdown, were always kind, helpful, and caring.

If there was a contest for the most bug bites in a day, I would be the winner at 2.7 million. The ranger said you need to be emotionally ready for the amount of bugs here. I tried to get myself in that head space but there was no amount of bug spray or preparation to get my child ready for the bugs. There was also a dead pelican at the start of the trail and my kid freaked out. Death is part of nature. Kid with 4th grade national park pass: "People want to hike around a swamp with alligators, snakes, birds, and lots and lots of bugs that buzz, bite, and sting?!" I would have done the 15 mile hike but my kid was using his necklace as a whip to swat at bugs and begging me to let him get back in the car. I considered a tram ride but a big thunderstorm came through right as we made it to the car. If you do hike longer (we only did two shorter hikes), bring lots of water. There was a boil alert for water so we couldn't refill water bottles. Also no soap in public restrooms. We went to Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and the Everglades within 4 days of each other. Everglades was a different environment but ranked 3rd on the list of parks.

We visited the week of Easter and to our surprise, it was not very busy. Though we got there as soon as the park opened. The staff were nice and helpful. We purchased the tram ride which was $50 for 2 seniors. The park staff on the tram were friendly and knowledgeable. The tram stopped often to view the wildlife. Lots of gators! It was a 2 hour ride with a stop at an observation area as shown in the picture. I was disappointed though that it was very dry when we visited. Not much water when I thought it would be swampy. I would return.

Visiting the Everglades in Florida was an incredible experience that I’d recommend to anyone. The airboat ride was a total blast, fast, fun, and a great way to explore this unique ecosystem. Seeing alligators up close in their natural habitat was both thrilling and fascinating. The scenery is unreal, and you really get a sense of how wild and beautiful Florida can be. If you ever get the chance, the Everglades is an absolute must-see, one of those bucket list experiences you won’t forget!

I feel so lucky that we got to see not one, but three separate alligators! Even caught a video of one snapping his mouth shut! It's obviously pretty hot and humid here, sunscreen and bug spray is a must! I also recommend a wide brimmed hat and clothes that cover skin but are breathable. There are many cool trails to take and lots of amazing wildlife and plants.

Anhinga Trail is a must-visit in Everglades National Park, offering a short 0.8-mile walk through the marshlands where you can observe alligators, herons, turtles, and other wildlife up close. The trail features various overlooks that provide excellent opportunities to see numerous alligators basking in the sun along the shoreline. It's known as one of the best spots for alligator sightings on foot in the park.
Great boardwalk over a pond full of lily pads, fish, frogs, and alligators. Lots of birds flying around, and fishing. It is a place you could spend :20 or several hours depending on how much time you have and how much you like to see nature at work.

Easy trail with plenty of sight seeing for both nature and animals. We got very lucky!! It’s a shame we saw a couple of water bottles, baby bottles and loose trash around the water, not a lot but kind of a shame as the trail is so beautiful.

A short trail that is full of wonderful surprises and wildlife. Was in town for work and only have a few hours of free time getting away; was lucky to manage to visit this trail and got to see alligators, birds and interesting plants and animals here. "Gators, Glorious Gators – A Wild Walk Back in 2015!" Throwback to 2015 – when our sunscreen was SPF 10 (mistake) and selfie sticks were still socially acceptable – we visited the Anhinga Trail in Florida’s Everglades National Park. And let me tell you, it was an absolute wildlife thrill ride. From the moment we stepped onto the trail, we were surrounded by nature like never before. Birds flying just over our heads, turtles sunbathing like little scaly retirees, and most impressively – alligators. Lots of them. Everywhere. We're talking gators so close, we felt like extras in a Discovery Channel special. One gator was about three feet away from us, chilling like it was on vacation, and we were the weird ones. The boardwalk takes you right through the marshes, offering front-row seats to the "Gator & Bird Show," and it’s all 100% real. We took a million photos – some of them still make us laugh to this day. There’s one where a gator is just lying in the background like he knows he's part of the shot. He might’ve been smirking. BUT WARNING! Before you even think about heading off on the trail: cover your car. Seriously. Why? Because the local birds (we suspect a gang of delinquent vultures) have developed a weird taste for rubber. We're talking windshield wiper blades, door seals, anything remotely chewy. You’ll come back from your magical gator adventure to find your car looking like it got into a fight with a raccoon armed with pliers. We watched them pull rubber off someone’s rental car like they were making a nest out of it. Brutal. So yes – the Anhinga Trail is stunning, unforgettable, and absolutely worth it... but unless you want to explain to your car rental company why your wipers are now bird souvenirs, bring a car cover or park far, far away from the main snack zone. Nature: 10/10. Bird crime rate: Also 10/10. Still 5 stars, because Florida is wild and we love it.

Nestled across a sprawling 750 acres, Zoo Miami is a vibrant haven for animal lovers and families alike. Home to over 3,000 animals and lush tropical plants, this zoo stands out as the only one in the continental U.S. situated in a subtropical climate. One of its highlights is the expansive 27-acre Amazon & Beyond exhibit, where visitors can marvel at jaguars, anacondas, and playful giant river otters while enjoying interactive experiences like stingray touch tanks.
We had a great family day at Zoo Miami! The place is very well designed, clean, organized, and perfect for families with kids. The “safari-style” layout makes it easy to walk around and enjoy the animals in open spaces. Even though there aren’t as many animals as we expected, the experience is still fantastic. Seeing the giraffes up close was definitely a highlight! The kids’ water play area, bike-style carts, and good food options make the visit super enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful place for families. Highly recommended!

I had such an amazing experience! If you have little ones, I recommend renting strollers the day prior online. It’s super quick and very affordable. I decided to do the admission and food package for me and my little one and it was well worth it! I only had to spend $2 for a drink refill. There is a splash pad and two playgrounds that my little one really enjoyed. I recommend bringing bathing suits if you are bringing kids. We decided to do the giraffe feeding over the parrot feeding and I’m glad we did. Overall it is a great trip for friends and family.

The zoo miami is worth your time and money! The zoo is very clean, has tons of animals and some you can't even see in other zoos. I highly recommend going as early as possible because walking alone can easily take up 4-5 hours. And the animals seem most active during that time. The full trail around the zoo is around 4 miles, so wear confortable shoes! I also recommend bringing a water bottle, using the misting stations, and buying your tickets early-skip that line! Your ticket purchase is good for 1 year after purchase, so if you have a weekend you can't go then you can easily just go another weekend without having to notify anyone. If you have a group or have kids, I'd look into renting a group bicycle. Everyone can sit together and peddle from exhibit to exhibit easily. The sidewalks are large enough for you to drive. It may be difficult if you're a single parents with 2 kids, cause you might be the only one pedaling. If you're a couple, you can even rent a rideable. I absolutely loved the zoo miami and look forward to visiting again!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Zoo Miami! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — they even gave us a ride back from the farthest animal exhibits when walking became tough. Every part of the zoo was thoughtfully laid out, the animals were incredible to see, and the whole experience was just so much fun. We truly enjoyed everything from A-to-Z and highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly day out!
David Z — Google review
The zoo is very big and great for kids to explore and burn off energy, but be prepared for a lot of walking. Some animals are quite far apart, and with little kids who walk slowly and don’t want the stroller, it can get tiring. The animals we did see were nice, and the exhibits weren’t too crowded. The weather was also much better this time. If you want to feed the giraffes or the parrots, make sure to go before 4:00 PM — they close that section right at 4, so don’t miss it. Also, buying tickets online is cheaper than on-site and helps you skip the lines. Overall, a good experience — just a lot of walking with little ones.

Miami! Zoo Zoo is well maintained, clean, organised. its big zoo so you have to walk a lot, so wear, sports shoes or comfortable shoes U can rent a bicycle, animal scooter or safari cycle If you are in a group or have kids, you can take group bicycle in which two people paddle and two people sit so total 4 to 5 people sit on this bicycle water outlets are at number of places carry your water bottle. U will find misting stations to beat the heat It has many animals some u cannot see in other zoo There is giraffe feeding area where you can pay five dollars and feed the giraffe Many shows are conducted(see the time table) Download app it will give entire information food options are there but food is costly there are plenty of signs giving information and fun facts about the animals Zoo has recreated different ecosystems Everything about zoo is good except salamander and chameleon of all colours keep crossing the walkways, road and also u will find them at eating joints ans sitting area so be aware and take care of kids I got so scared that i kept on tapping my feet for 3 hours and did not enjoy the zoo like other brave people

Zoo Miami is a beautiful, well-maintained space with lush landscaping and a relaxing layout. The staff is friendly, and the walking paths are easy to navigate, making it a pleasant day out. That said, several enclosures were empty during my visit, and I didn’t see as many animals as expected, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the zoo’s commitment to conservation and the few animals I did see were clearly well cared for. It’s a great place for families or a peaceful stroll—just manage expectations if you’re hoping for a full house of wildlife.

The Miami Zoo was an amazing experience! There’s so much to see and the zoo itself is pretty big, so plan for a lot of walking. If you’re not a fan of walking, I’d highly recommend renting a bike or one of the animal scooters — it makes exploring way more fun and easier. Going early in the morning is the best time to beat the heat and enjoy the animals when they’re most active. Definitely worth the price — a great day for families, couples, or anyone who loves wildlife!

This was my 2nd time visiting ZWF. The first time was in 2018 for the lion encounter. That experience was fun-tastic. This time around the experience was different. Our tour guide Cara was wonderful, she was knowledgeable about the animals, provided fun facts about them and answered all of our questions. The affection she showed towards the animals during our tour was amazing. I fell in love with Onyx, the African Serval, the baby skunk, and Roland the 5 month old capuchin. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves and we’ll definitely be back for a third time for each experience is different and educating.

Wonderful place to learn about the history of South Beach Miami. To think it was almost all torn down for high-rise apartments is appalling. Great place to visit. The staff is super friendly.

I highly recommend the walking tour, our guide lleana is an expert art historian with a vast knowledge on the Art Deco style and architecture, and definitely the fascinating history of Miami beach! We were very happy learning about and visiting awesome buildings not easily accessed by other guides.

A pleasant 2-hour guided tour and walk to learn about South Beach architecture and its history. Guide Julie was enthusiastic and pleasant. $35 is a fair price for an informative walk. I reserved in advance online. The Friday morning tour was probably 40 people but Julie didn't lose us.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Art Deco Historic District – Miami Beach’s Timeless Gem The Art Deco District in Miami Beach is absolutely stunning! It’s one of the most unique and beautiful areas I’ve ever visited. Every building tells a story — with pastel colors, geometric shapes, and elegant details that capture the spirit of Miami’s golden era. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxing. You can stroll along Ocean Drive, enjoy the palm-lined streets, and admire the perfectly preserved 1930s architecture that makes this area world-famous. It’s truly a photographer’s dream and a must-see for anyone visiting Miami Beach. If you love design, history, or just the feeling of classic Miami charm, the Art Deco District is the perfect place to explore. A beautiful reminder that style and history never go out of fashion.

Lincoln Rd in Miami Beach has become a hub for innovative open-air theater productions, offering a unique and safe way to enjoy live performances. The area's history as the 'Fifth Avenue of the South' is evident in its transformation from a swampy dirt road to a bustling shopping destination. Visitors can soak up the vibrant atmosphere by relaxing on Ocean Drive or dining at outdoor establishments while taking in the lively street scene.
Lots of shops and restaurants all in one place. You can walk around and spend some time.

Nice walk. Feels good to walk old school area. Half the stores are closed so don’t think of it as a retail shopping trip. And it’s not authentic old Miami shopping, so take that into consideration. But it’s central to a few good restaurants and good hotels like Lowe’s and the Ritz. Shout out to Rosetta bakery on main ave. And a cool art gallery lik Miami. It’s a mixed bag here.

Dolphin Mall, located just five miles west of Miami International Airport, is a large shopping center offering over 240 retail shops, a food court, theater, and bowling alley. It is known as Miami's largest value retail shopping center with over 200 brand name stores at affordable prices.
Very cool Mall! I visit several stores Starbucks, converse, Nike, Express etc and they all had good customer service and a good sale going on. Lots of great options for food and drinks we ate at Johnny Rockets the burgers and shakes were delicious and I had turkey meat and my family had beef and there were both great. There is a Fat Tuesday that services bar bites I’m from Louisiana and this is the first I’ve seen that. Overall my family had a good experience and would defiantly recommend to visit.

We had a great time on our first visit to Dolphin Mall in Miami! The mall is very big, but it’s well-organized and easy to walk, which made shopping super enjoyable. There’s an amazing variety of stores from high end brands to great bargains with lots of great deals throughout. We all found something and more. The ambiance is festive and very family friendly. The food court had great options, food from different countries, besides the usual chains, lots of desert, ice cream and sweets places too, plus plenty of seat down restaurants to choose from. We also enjoyed the live musical entertainment, added a celebration mood to our shopping day. There is a movie theater and Dave and Buster’s arcade too. You Can easily spend the whole day here and have everything you need at the same place. Plenty of parking, I believe there is also valet service, enough restrooms and changing areas close by. Overall, a fantastic visit, definitely worth checking out! 5 points for us!

A Galactic Haven for Shoppers, Foodies & Fun Seekers Ventured to Dolphin Mall on a calm Monday night, and balance in the retail galaxy I found. There were shoppers around, but not too many — the perfect crowd level for relaxed exploring. The Force of deals was strong here — 50% off, 60%, 70%, even 75% clearance sales! Nearly every store had a promotion glowing like a lightsaber in the night. From Columbia and Gap Factory to The Children’s Place and Ross Dress for Less, savings were everywhere. This mall is anchored by heavy-hitters like Bloomingdale’s The Outlet Store, Marshalls/HomeGoods, Burlington, Saks OFF 5th, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory, Old Navy Outlet, and Bass Pro Shops — making it one of the most diverse shopping starports in Miami. After the shopping quest, I wrapped up my evening at Dave & Buster’s — where the fun truly starts here! For dining, you’ll find galactic options like Cheesecake Factory, Texas de Brazil, and Johnny Rockets, along with kid-friendly adventures at Kids Empire. 🛍️ Pro Tip from the ReviewJedi: Arrive on a weekday evening for smooth parking and crowd-free browsing. Zones Moda, Playa, and Ramblas each have their own vibe — like traveling between planets of fashion, flavor, and fun.

Dolphin Mall is a great spot for shopping, dining, and spending the day. The mall is huge with tons of stores—from outlets to name brands—so it’s easy to find good deals. I liked how there’s something for everyone, whether you’re shopping for clothes, shoes, or tech. The food court has plenty of options and there are some sit-down restaurants too if you want a break from walking. It does get a little crowded, especially on weekends, and parking can be a bit hectic. But overall, it’s a fun place with good energy, and I’d definitely come back. Great for families, tourists, or just killing time while grabbing some deals.

I got a chance to visit the mall again and I enjoyed it just as much this time as before. Such a great place to spend the afternoon. Amazing place to visit and enjoy a day of shopping. This mall is massive and can take you hours to get around. With plenty of places to shop you'll even be seeing double as some stores have 2 separate places inside this massive shopping center. The food court is also incredibly spacious with dozens of places to eat and that doesn't even include the multiple places you can eat before you even get to the food court. A must see in Miami!

Going to the Dolphin Mall was pretty cool. We only went there because my wife saw a nice Michael Kors bag for sale. While we were there the workers at the stores we visited was friendly and helpful. On store we visited was extremely colorful. I would loved to shop there but a lot of the prices were a little to high for me. I will attached some pictures from the store. If you like Mickey Mouse then you will enjoy this store.

This mall is incredible ! you should go early to enjoy Despite how busy it can be, the centre is very clean and well managed. … plenty of restrooms... It has all the well-known stores and others we haven't seen, but there are always discounts. It's better to go week, excllnt parking spaces, but the best part of allllll thing is that if you need fast shopping, it's super close to the airport.

Shark Valley Visitor Center is a popular destination for both locals and tourists, offering a variety of amenities such as information, gifts, exhibits, and trails like the Bobcat Boardwalk. Located just 25 miles west of the Florida Turnpike, it provides easy access to the Everglades National Park. The 15-mile paved loop road offers scenic views and an observation tower at its center. Additionally, visitors can enjoy tram tours that start from the visitor center.
What a great time we had !!! Brought our own bikes and biked the whole 15 miles. The first half we were lucky to see alligators :) The stop at the view tower was fun and after, on the way back to the center we could observe some birds. Overall fun experiences, especially because we love to bike and be on our own. Guided tram, though, sounded like fun for those who prefer less physical demands. We could see them and hear the guides stopping and explaining the surroundings. Definitely bring water bottle :)
Radmila M — Google review
Such an awesome place. If you decide to rent bikes just know it’s not an easy ride with the bikes they have unless you’re in good shape. For most people I’d recommend taking the tram. So much wildlife to see. We were fortunate enough to see baby alligators. There are limited protection barriers so definitely show restraint when taking pictures. Definitely wear comfortable shoes as you will walk a lot. Overall this is a great place to immerse yourself into nature and see lots of wildlife up close, I highly recommend a visit.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Epic Everglades ride—wildlife, wind, and wonder! Shark Valley’s 15-mile loop is a must for bike lovers. The 7-mile straightaway to the observation tower is thrilling—alligators lounging just feet from the path! The 8-mile return is calm, scenic, and wide open. The tower view? Pure tranquility. Just watch out for the wind—it can be your fiercest rival. Unforgettable nature, right off the Tamiami Trail.
Rafael R — Google review
This is the other entrance for the Everglades National Park. It is absolutely beautiful trail, perfect for biking, approximately 14 miles loop. Around the 7 mile point you have the observation tower there are pet toilets there. There is no water along the trail so make sure to bring plenty. Lots of wild life including alligators turtles hawks and even the ocasional deer. If you want to see alligators cool mornings in the winter and spring is the best time. Parking lot is small and will fill up fast, especially on weekends. If you wanna park inside, expect at least a 30 minute wait but you can always park outside the park and bike in
Nataly B — Google review
Long distance to the tower. 7 miles there and 10 miles back if you want to do the full loop. Bike rentals are $27(single gear), or hourly shuttles for $34 per person. Discount for veterans on the shuttle $26. Our guides on the shuttle were Dina and Bethany. Very informative.
DIY I — Google review
We took the tram tour and had a fantastic experience! The ride is about two hours long and takes you deep into the Everglades, with a stop at a tall observation tower that gives you amazing panoramic views. The guide was knowledgeable and made the tour informative and engaging, sharing facts about the wildlife and ecosystem along the way. We saw plenty of alligators, birds, and turtles up close, especially around the waterways. It’s a great way to explore the park without too much walking, and ideal if you’re traveling with kids or want a more relaxed visit. Make sure to book ahead and arrive early, especially during peak season—parking fills up fast. Also bring water, sunscreen, and a hat since it gets hot, and there’s not much shade. Highly recommended if you want to experience the Everglades in a fun and accessible way!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Shark Valley Visitor Center is a must-visit for nature lovers! The area is full of incredible wildlife — we saw plenty of alligators, birds, and other animals right along the trail. The tram tour is fantastic; the guides are knowledgeable and share so many interesting facts about the Everglades. It’s also a great spot for photography, with endless opportunities to capture amazing shots of gators, birds, and the beautiful landscape. Peaceful, scenic, and a perfect way to experience Florida’s natural beauty!

Nice trail for walking or biking. We didn't have time for tram ride. Friendly staff. Lots of birds, turtles and fish. Other visitors said they saw alligator. Not much in they way of exhibits or information compared to other parks. (Still not sure about the shark references) Small exhibit and gift shop with essential. Great if you want long walk or bike ride to enjoy the Florida Everglades. If you can brave the heat, there is tons of wildlife if you're quite and observant.

Hollywood Beach Broadwalk is a historic promenade with an old-fashioned charm, featuring over 50 restaurants, 30 shops, and 3 parks. This 2.5-mile paved path runs along the golden-brown sandy beaches of Hollywood Beach, offering access to the open-air Hollywood Beach Theatre and a variety of shops and dining options. Lined with coconut palms and art deco-style mom-and-pop hotels, it exudes a tropical ambiance reminiscent of South Florida.
My visit to Hollywood Beach, Florida, was a relaxing and refreshing experience. The beach itself was clean, with soft sand and warm, clear water that made it perfect for swimming or just lounging by the shore. The famous Hollywood Beach Broadwalk was a highlight great for walking, biking, or people watching. There were plenty of restaurants, bars, and little shops lining the way, offering everything from seafood and tacos to ice cream and souvenirs. The atmosphere was vibrant yet laid-back, with live music playing in some areas and families enjoying the sunshine. It’s a great place for both couples and families. I recommend going early in the day to grab a good spot near the water and to avoid the peak sun. Parking can be a little tricky, so be prepared for that. Overall, Hollywood Beach is a gem in South Florida a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the ocean breeze.

The Hollywood Beach Boardwalk literally changed my life. I came to Florida thinking I’d just get some sun and maybe a tan — next thing I know, I’m rollerblading with the coolest crew, dodging tourists, and chasing sunsets like it’s my new religion. 🌅🛼 Now it’s my second home — good vibes, ocean breeze, music in the air, and a random mix of skaters, bikers, and people who look like they’re in a music video. If you ever see someone smiling too hard while rolling by… yeah, that’s probably me living my best life.

If u get here and the water is calm make it your beach day!! We have been here 6 days and the first 4 were stunning. Today and yesterday the water is rough! And seaweed has washed up on the shore! Wish we had done our day on the beach sooner! The boardwalk is THE BEST you will find!! So active in the evening as well! It is lit and has restaurants, gift shops a wide walking and bike path for 2 miles. Wide beach.

One of my all-time favorite beaches for a laid-back family day! Hollywood Beach in Fort Lauderdale has everything you could want—soft white sand, clear water, and parking just steps from the shore that stretches the entire length of the beach. The boardwalk is a dream: lined with cute boutiques, souvenir shops, restaurants, and beach bars, all running parallel to the ocean. There’s so much to do beyond the sand, too—public restrooms, a splash pad and playground for kids, and even a beachfront performing arts center with live music and events. Chair and umbrella rentals are available, and parking is usually super convenient, even on busy days. The beach itself is always clean, the water is beautiful, and the atmosphere is chill but lively. Whether you’re going for a family beach day or a morning stroll with a coffee, this spot is a total gem.

We have been coming to Hollywood Beach since the 80's. Definitely more crowded as you get closer to Johnson Street. However, it is so beautiful and there are so many shops and restaurants. Most of the time we come down here just to walk around and take in the beautiful beach. Recently we came down here to watch the sunrise and it was spectacular! If you have done it yet- make sure to put this on your list! You will be glad you did!

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! We just finished our helicopter tour, and while the flight itself was breathtaking and the pilot was incredibly skilled, what really stood out to us was the hospitality and professionalism of the ground crew. These guys were next-level genuinely friendly, super helpful, and made sure we were comfortable and informed every step of the way. They didn’t just do their job they cared. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us like old friends, explained everything clearly, and created such a good vibe that we felt totally at ease. You can tell they love what they do, and it made all the difference. If you’re thinking about booking do it. These are the people you want handling your experience. 10/1000000 definitely seeing the guys again

This beach was stunning during sunrise. But please be an early bird while on vacation, if you want to best the crowd, as it gets crowded very quickly. I couldn’t give it a complete 5 stars because it’s a little TOO crowded after sunrise, and a bit too touristy. But for some this will be great, as there are plenty of restaurants, shopping and lodging nearby.

Outlet mall
Nestled in the heart of Florida, Sawgrass Mills is a shopper's paradise and the largest outlet shopping destination in the United States. With over 350 stores, it boasts an impressive array of well-known brands like Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren. This vibrant retail hub also features value retailers such as OFF 5th Saks Fifth Avenue and Target, ensuring that visitors can find everything from trendy fashion to home essentials.
The shopping center is so large that my family and I couldn’t manage to explore it all, from the inside to the outside. There are an incredible number of products. I really love this place, and it’s also my first time here. I’d like to recommend it to anyone looking for the biggest and best outlet in Miami.
John N — Google review
A must-visit classic for Argentine and Brazilian tourists shopping in Florida. Sawgrass Mills has absolutely everything, outlet stores with great discounts, luxury brands, and more. The mall keeps growing, and there’s tons of parking, which makes it super convenient for families or anyone doing a big shopping day. I’m giving it 4 stars because the rented carts are quite expensive, and during our visit, the elevators in the covered parking garage weren’t working. We had to leave the trolley downstairs and carry bags (and a small child) up the stairs, not ideal. Aside from that, it was an excellent experience, as always. If you're visiting from Argentina or Brazil, this mall is a must. Just bring comfy shoes and patience, there’s a lot of ground to cover!

Sawgrass Mills is a shopper’s paradise! The outlet offers an incredible variety of stores, from luxury brands to everyday favorites, all at great prices. The mall is huge, clean, and well-organized, with plenty of dining options for a quick snack or a nice meal. It’s easy to spend an entire day here and still have more to explore. Definitely worth the trip for anyone who loves shopping!
Orhan K — Google review
I recently visited Sawgrass Mills Mall, and I can honestly say it’s an experience on its own. This place is absolutely huge — one of the largest outlet malls I’ve ever been to — and you really need a full day if you want to explore it properly. There are stores for every taste and budget, from big-name brands to outlet bargains, and even some luxury options. Something I would recommend to anyone planning to go is to arrive early. Parking can be very challenging, and if you get there later in the day you might end up driving around for a long time before finding a spot. The mall is almost always full, and that makes parking one of the toughest parts of the visit. Inside, the variety is impressive. You can literally find everything in one place: clothing, accessories, home items, electronics, and more. There are also plenty of dining options, so you won’t have trouble grabbing a bite between shopping sessions. But be prepared — the mall is so big that you’ll be walking a lot. I easily logged thousands of steps just going from one side to the other, so comfortable shoes are a must. On the positive side, many people (myself included) appreciate the deals you can find, especially in certain stores. However, not all prices are lower than in department stores like Macy’s, so it’s worth comparing before buying. As for the overall experience, customer service varies depending on the store. Some staff are very friendly and helpful, while in other places the service could be much better. For example, I noticed that in a few shops, the staff didn’t seem too interested in assisting customers, and that takes away a bit from the experience. Also, the restrooms and some common areas could be cleaner, considering how busy the mall gets. Another challenge is navigating the mall itself. Because it’s so large, it’s easy to feel lost at times, and although there are maps, it can still take a while to figure out the layout. Despite those details, I think Sawgrass Mills is absolutely worth visiting, especially if you’re someone who enjoys shopping. It’s a shopper’s paradise, and you’ll probably find things you wouldn’t easily get elsewhere. Just make sure to plan your visit wisely: wear comfortable clothes, arrive early to find parking, and be ready to spend several hours exploring.

Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tours

Mentioned on
3 lists
Boat tour agency
Tours
Wooten's Everglades Airboat Tours is a great way to see the wildlife in the Everglades. The airboats are fast and provide a great view of the animals. The swamp buggy is not as fun and provides a less exciting view of the animals. Make sure you make reservations in advance to avoid long wait times.
Wooten’s Everglades Airboat Tours was one of the highlights of our trip to Marco Island. If you’re looking to get out and experience the “real Florida,” this place nails it. We started with the airboat tour, and it was such a fun ride. The boat itself is open and really fast — it felt like flying across the water. Our captain was awesome: he had a great sense of humor, but also knew a ton about the Everglades ecosystem. He pointed out different wildlife along the way, including a few birds we never would have noticed on our own, and even spotted a couple of alligators sunning themselves in the grass. The ride had the perfect balance of excitement and sightseeing. There were a few fast turns and spins that got everyone laughing, but it never felt unsafe. The scenery was gorgeous too — a mix of wide open water and winding mangrove trails that made you feel like you were in the middle of nowhere (in the best way). After the boat ride, we explored their alligator park, which is included with your ticket. It’s a nice little walking area with a ton of gators, from little ones to massive, ancient-looking ones. They also had some rescued animals like turtles, snakes, and even a few tigers, which was unexpected but cool to see. They give you a chance to hold a baby alligator too, which was a big hit — definitely one of those classic Florida photo ops. The staff throughout the park were friendly and clearly cared about the animals. Everything felt well-maintained and respectful of the wildlife. Overall, Wooten’s is a great half-day adventure. It’s fun, educational, and just the right amount of wild. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Marco Island or the Naples area — especially if you want to see the Everglades up close without having to plan a huge all-day trip.

Airboat ride was a lot of fun and Captain Jack was wonderful. Felt very comfortable with him at the helm. He was very knowledgeable and had some great stories. The excursion was the best part. Ride was followed by an alligator show and the opportunity to hold a young alligator. There was also an area where you could view multiple gators. Felt as though some areas needed a little TLC. Gift shop had a lot of fun gator related items. Overall, had a fun and interesting time.
K S — Google review
The tour itself was a lot of fun — riding through the swamp on an airboat with some nice sharp turns was a great experience. Unfortunately, we only saw one or two alligators. The driver was very knowledgeable about the area and clearly cared deeply about nature. What felt a bit contradictory, though, was the inclusion of alligator shows and where younger gators are brought out for petting. Their mouths were taped or tied shut (it was hard to tell which). During our visit, a young girl was allowed to hold an alligator, probably around 2 to 3 years old. It turned out to be heavier than she expected, and she accidentally dropped it — something that really shouldn't happen, in my opinion.

Part 1: Tony and I went on a Air Boat Ride at Wooten's off Rt 41 in the swamps of National Everglades! OurCapt was Clay and he did a fabulous job of showing us around the swamp and speeding through the Red Mangrove! We saw 3 Alligators total and one was about 12.5 feet long! Clay gave us some very valuable information about wildlife and the Ecosystem out in the swamp! Clay really made the trip and it was so nice that Tony Vanoy had a wonderful birthday present! Definitely highly recommend if your in the area!Ask for Capt Clay! Remember they work for tips! Only 4 people a our semi private boat adventure!
Lisa B — Google review
Had a great time. Opted for the private ride and just 2 of us. The captain was great and full of knowledge about the area. The animal park could use some help and painting. But we went for the airboat ride and it was great. The other stuff was extras.
Andrew C — Google review
Great first time airboat experience. We had a lot of fun and our captain was great… wish I could remember his name. Not many gators on our tour but that is comforting to know that it’s beyond their control. Customer service on the rest of their property was great as well. Getting to hold a small alligator was also very cool! Please please please wear any and all forms of mosquito repellent 😅

Good but underwhelming. Things I Loved: Airboat ride: Ride through the red mangroves is excellent. The area is peaceful and it's really amazing to glide via airboat through the narrow passages of the mangroves. 276 private acres of mangrove, adjacent to, but not part of the national park. The captain made sure it a fun ride-lot of turns that sprayed up water. Hearing protection: They provided earmuffs for hearing protection during the ride-air boat is extremely noisy. Holding juvenile alligators: Dutch, Jellybean, and Chompy were taken out of their container for us to after the "show" cool experience to get to hold an alligator. Things I would do differently: We did the extended combo tour. Having done it I would recommend the original tour which is cheaper. in terms of wildlife in the mangroves, 1 person saw one gar in the water and as a group we saw one bird which I think is a heron. The tour guide provides a little bit of history on how Wooten's was purchased and created, and the conflict with the national park and why they have white pipes is barriers and a little bit about the mangroves, but all of this could've been said in the 30 minute tour and we just rode around in the heat and sun a little bit longer. It was fun, but probably not worth the additional money. Skip the Swamp Buggy if it's an option -We were literally swarmed and attacked by mosquitoes (just part of the swamp experience) even though we were covered with deet. -This is advertised as a 30 minute swamp buggy tour but it ended up taking 12 or 13 minutes. This was good to the mosquitoes but again probably not worth the money. we were the last tour of the day and maybe the guy was just ready to go home. He did a nice job explaining the information he wanted to share, but the tour was very brief and probably not worth any additional money. -Riding the Swamp buggy was a really unique experience, but it was basically a short U shaped loop that would've taken about seven minutes if we haven't stopped to talk for 60 seconds three or four different times. Things that disappointed: The guy doing the alligator show was unprofessional and used more foul language than I prefer considering how many kids are in the group. What he did was OK but how he executed it came across as Tacky and unprofessional. He shared pretty good information as well Our tour guides seemed like they were on auto pilot. The info seemed very scripted and delivered in monotone that it came across a task vs tour. I prefer guided tours to learn about the culture and the background of a location. This information was just really not in depth and the delivery was underwhelming. I have a high expectation for both high-level information and especially when it says the captain's work for tips. Mosquitoes I understand they are part of nature, but the mosquitoes are really really bad and within two minutes of being in the restroom my daughter had about 15 mosquito bites. Maybe some better reminders or heads up for those not as familiar with the area could be helpful. No problem. We had brought mosquito spray and applied at generously we ended up running out and they sell it for nine dollars a can which is a little bit steep. they were almost unbearable on the swamp buggy tour. We were covered in date, but any part of your body they missed. The mosquitoes came after. The few folks who didn't bother to use bug spray were swatting and hitting themselves the entire tour. Feeling rushed We did our boat tour and returned on time, we walked right over to and alligator show. After that 20+ folks we had 10 or 12 minutes to hold the little alligators come on then we transferred over across the street for the Swamp buggy tour. Since we were the last tour of the day, everything was closed up immediately when we left. So if there was a gift shop, we didn't really have time to review that as we were busy with bug spray right after we checked in. Things I recommend On both tours they said to take the first tour of the morning Bath in Deet (high %) as soon as you arrive.

We have been to Wooten’s twice and have had a blast both times! Has become a tradition every time we travel to the Southwest Florida area! Captains are great and Carl made our grasslands boat tour amazing!!! Holding the alligators was awesome and my kids loved it! I would definitely recommend the full tour with the grasslands boat tour, the mangrove maze boat ride and the swamp buggy! This place is awesome!

Shopping
Mizner Park is a charming outdoor shopping and leisure destination located in Boca Raton, South Florida. Named after the renowned architect Addison Mizner, this area offers upscale retailers, dining options ranging from high-end to casual, and various entertainment events such as the annual bark in the park. Surrounded by elegant condos and close to attractions like the Boca Raton Museum of Art, it's a hub for both locals and visitors.
I lived in Boca for 30+years.. This was one of my favorite places to go. We usually ate at Yard House and always found the food to be decent. Pretty good presence of police at Mizner. I have to say somewhat justifiable on some nights. Shopping at the stores is not cheap, but I can only imagine what the rent is for space there. All in all a great destination.
PDW — Google review
Absolutely love Mizner Park! It is absolutely delightful at any time of day. It is lovely to walk around in the morning and enjoy a coffee or smoothie outside or enjoy a late night out in the town at one of the many popular restaurants. There are plenty of cultural events that take place throughout the year that are family friendly and fun for all to enjoy. There are the big staple restaurants as well as smaller cafes and little shops. There is always a good time to be had at Mizner Park. We love it here! 🤩
Leonora A — Google review
Great place to walk around as the sun sets, lots of dinning options, nice happy hour spots for appetizers and drinks . Some days bring in an influx of exotic cars and most days a crowd of beautiful people. Occasional organized events and decorations to suite the season

Very upscale shopping area with numerous restaurants and stores to shop or just browse in. Be prepared to pay top dollar for your purchases though. This is not your local target shopping

Boca Raton is probably a very quality and neat place to stay, but for shorter visits, apart from the beautiful Atlantic coastline, it is quite boring. The same goes for Mizner Park, nothing special to see. And it is not a real shopping mall but rather a smaller type retail park.

Mid afternoon is easy parking. Evenings are more difficult. The parking garage is probably the best bet. Very nice atmosphere. Lots of shops and restaurants. The museum of modern art is wonderful. The ampetheator has very nice events. Just a nice place to visit

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, located on a barrier island in Boca Raton, is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and families. The 20-acre coastal sanctuary offers a variety of attractions, including a boardwalk with a lookout point, butterfly garden, and sea turtle tanks. Visitors can also explore the lush grounds and spot diverse wildlife such as iguanas and sharks. The center serves as an educational hub for environmental conservation and research, providing refuge to rare and endangered plant and animal species.
Stopped here with my boyfriend during our week-long Florida vacation; never been to such an interesting nature center with no entrance fee. Eels, adult sea turtles, rays, and many different fish in outdoor tanks; seahorses and baby sea turtles in the indoor lab (which is pretty small). If I had the one of these nearby I’d go all the time.

This was one of our favorite things we did in our entire vacation. We had a blast looking at the awesome spiders. A whole lot to see. Great views. Kid friendly. Free to get in but please donate it helps they so very much!!! Front desk was SUPER helpful and everyone on the staff was friendly and courteous. Definitely can't wait to bring all my children to experience the fun 😊

This nature center by far is a must-visit! The staff are above and beyond helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable. The aquatic life is fascinating along with the free roaming turtles and butterfly garden. There is a room that is used to assist infant turtles in their growth as well as starfish and seahorse viewings. The nature trails are so peaceful with a variety of different walks to complete (you choose how long you want to walk/which paths, if not all). There is a viewing area to see the entire grounds that is accessible by wheelchair/strollers as well as stairs if you prefer. This nature center offers educational classes and events throughout the month. What strikes me as unbelievable is Gumbo Limbo is FREE. They do accept donations-I would recommend at least $10.

A very interesting place; it is more like a research and study place. But a lot of people come here with little kids to see marine life, and also to go for nature walk. The observation tower, Jacob’s Outlook is also quite fascinating.

Parking is difficult on weekends, not many spaces. Go early. Free entrance, donation appreciated. Nice boardwalk trail through the mangroves to observation tower. Wheelchair friendly ramp to get you to the top. Beautiful aquatic displays, large fish and turtles. Overview of the FAU turtle nursery. Relaxing walk through the butterfly garden. Take repellent for this part, lot is warnings of mosquitoes. Great for kids and anyone into nature.

An awesome day at Gumbo Limbo!! It was overcast with a light breeze most of the time, muggy for the rest. LOTS of spiders!! 😎 We saw a lot of crabs, birds, fish, a Kemp Ridley sea turtle, butterflies, and 2 Gopher Tortoises. FAU has a marine science laboratory there, that was interesting to watch the students work, they also had a few tanks in there with starfish and seahorses. The Tower is nice for viewing the surrounding area. Boardwalks were ready to navigate. No admission price, but donations are accepted and very much appreciated.

Art museum
Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a serene lakeside destination located on the border of Boca Raton and Delray Beach. It was donated by George Morikami, an immigrant from the Yamato Colony, to preserve Japanese culture in South Florida. The 200-acre property features pine-lined nature trails, koi-filled ponds, and various Japanese gardens showcasing bonsai and a 12th-century shinden garden.
Such a beautiful and peaceful experience! The Morikami Museum was super affordable and felt like a little escape to Japan—without having to leave Florida. The scenic views were stunning, and I loved how spacious the entire place was. The walking paths, waterfalls, and bonsai trees made the whole visit feel so calming and immersive. The museum exhibits were well-curated and gave a great cultural overview. The café food was surprisingly good, and the gift shop had really cute finds at reasonable prices. I would absolutely go again—next time I’m signing up for the tea ceremony! Overall, a wonderful and enriching experience. Highly recommend if you’re in the Delray Beach area.

Decide to pay a 1st visit to this place after church today! It was hot!🥵 Anyhoo, I enjoyed the visit. Due to a special event, the place was crowded. I had lunch at Cornell cafe there. They had prepared meals. I had the salmon teriyaki. It came with rice, vegetable medley, an egg roll, two dumplings🥟, & two sesame balls (no clue what it was) for )$19. The food was not bad. The drinks though are pricey. $6 for a Japanese soda. After I briefly visited the museum. I walked the beautiful gardens, visited about 5 of them. Gorgeous grounds, just wish there were more flowers. I like that you are allowed to bring your own water bottles to refill at their water fountains & the 🆓 parking. I will revisit to explore the museums & the other gardens when it’s a tad bit cooler.

My visit to the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens was nothing short of amazing. The moment you enter, a sense of peace and serenity surrounds you. The gardens are absolutely beautiful—meticulously maintained, lush, and full of vibrant life. Walking along the nature path felt like stepping into another world; it was blissful, calming, and incredibly refreshing. Each turn revealed new scenic views and tranquil water features that invite quiet reflection. Inside the museum, the exhibits were excellent—thoughtfully curated and rich with Japanese culture and history. From traditional art to modern interpretations, every display added depth to the overall experience. The combination of nature, culture, and tranquility makes Morikami a true gem in Boca Raton. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, relaxation, or a simple escape from the everyday, this is the perfect place to find it.
Dee G — Google review
Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a peaceful and gorgeous place to stroll and take in nature. We visited on a Saturday, and while there were plenty of other visitors, it didn’t feel overcrowded. The gardens are filled with photo-worthy scenery, including waterfalls, Bonsai trees, bridges, and the original museum building from 1977. We also saw a surprising amount of wildlife—lizards (including iguanas and Cuban Anoles), herons, turtles, blue jays, and cardinals. Although signs warn of alligators, we didn’t see any. Be sure to check out the museum and the nearby gift shop, which offers unique items. The short films and historical exhibits are especially moving and add real depth to the visit. Plan ahead—special events such as weddings can affect the schedule. Tickets are sold at the door; adult admission is $16, with discounts for seniors, students, military, and groups of 15+ (check their website for current pricing). Parking is free, and there's a café and an ice cream cart on-site. We didn’t eat there as it didn’t appear to have indoor seating, and we wanted to get out of the brutal June heat and into some A/C. The main downside is the heat—the gardens are only open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., which is the hottest time of day. Bring water (they have a water cooler where visitors can refill water bottles), sunscreen, and bug spray—gnats and mosquitoes were definitely around. Overall, it’s a beautiful and enriching experience, but summer visitors should come prepared for the South Florida heat.

Visited the gardens yesterday for the first time and it was an absolutely beautiful and more importantly peaceful experience. The staff were so kind and knowledgeable. It’s a wonderful place to be in nature. Note: if you struggle with walking there are wheelchair paths.

Breathtaking! That is the only word that truly describes this magnificent gem placed in the heart of South Florida. Morikama Museum and Japanese Garden is the prefect place to find tranquility and reflection. The Museum tells of an amazing piece of American history right here in Florida and takes you back in time to when it was lived. While walking the trails the Japanese Gardens will have you forgetting about the hustle of life and instead help you to find silence from the noise. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this place is and trust me when I say it is worth the trip.

I've never had more fun at an adult field trip before. I felt like a kid again -- only this time paying attention. But seriously from start to finish 8 to 5pm I enjoyed myself so much and learning more about the Seminole tribe. If you are a history buff like me, or want to know more about the Everglades and native lands this is it for you. I wouldn't recommend if you have toddlers and below because I know my niece gets antsy after a full day but there really is entertainment for everyone. The airboat was awesome, saw about 10 gators! The wildlife shows and then the museum--their staff is A+. They are so knowledgeable I really am glad I came and can't wait to bring family from out of town. They are a little further out than other tour groups but well worth it to get the bang for the buck. Their customs are beautiful and im so happy I got to learn all that I did . They are way beyond casinos and duty free tobacco. The husband and wife tour guide duo (I forget their names) were excellent. So many cool items at the gift shop too. If you're debating don't hesitate to come here!

beautiful scenery. clean and entertaining. Second visit even better. Armando was really nice in the boat ride, thrill ride and tour in one, best so far. The bungee ride was really good, lots of things I've not seen in a long time, other I've never see in the wild. Lots of nice pictures.

A few women and I went today and were very impressed. The airboat ride lasted about 1/2 hour and the guide was informative and engaging. The swamp buggy ride was almost an hour and couldn't have been better. The guide had been there for many years and was full of information. A few times he got off the buggy to get leaves and and fruit for us to smell and look at. The critter show was also terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and will be back soon.

This is definitely a hidden gem. Excellent place to walk around and do buggy or air boat rides. Nowhere close to the actual Everglades experience, but this is a different league in itself. I did the one hour buggy ride (VFM at 25 bucks) and was thoroughly impressed with the service and the guide / driver. The walk around later around the property was fun too, with a few animals on display. Must do if you are around this side.

We had a great time today at Billie Swamp Safari. When we first arrived, we were told that the boats and buggies may not go out due to thunder and lightning in the area so we visited all the exhibits. So much to see and do, even without the boat rides. We fed alligators and crocodiles along with otters and parakeets. See my pictures and you will see all that they had to offer. The weather cleared out while visiting the facilities and we went out on an air boat ride. Great staff and a great time to be had. Two thumbs up.

I took my daughter there for her birthday. Just to get away and feel secluded. I was really impressed with the amount of animals and Wildlife they have there. They had a nice nature walk and it was very secluded. It was a wonderful day with the kids. It was quite the drive to get there but well worth it. The food is very reasonably priced and delicious. And the only other thing you have to pay for is the Airboat Rides or buggy rides which I believe is only about $20 and they have a cute little gift shop with plenti to choose from. What a nice day getaway.

Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee offers modern accommodations and a variety of entertainment options. The casino features a wide selection of slots, table games, and a high roller section. While there is a non-smoking area, the smell of smoke can still be noticeable. The hotel provides excellent service and the staff are accommodating to new players. Although it is located about 40 minutes away from certain areas, this distance may be preferable for some guests.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at 1st Street Deli! From the moment I walked in, Daniela greeted me with such warmth and professionalism as the host—it immediately set the tone for a great visit. Our server, T’anna, was attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring throughout the meal. She anticipated what we needed without us ever having to ask and made us feel so well taken care of. The food itself was outstanding—huge compliments to Kevin and Raymond, the chefs! Everything was perfectly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they put pride into their craft. And a big shoutout to Courtney, the restaurant manager. You can see his leadership reflected in the team’s energy and service. He was visible, approachable, and ensured the whole dining experience flowed seamlessly. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again—not just for the food, but for the people who make it special. Highly recommend!

I came for a Saturday night of gambling with friends to have a good time. Smoking gamblers was out of control but we survived. Cocktail waitress were a few and hard to find for a drink. Good variety of slot machines and card tables. I cant rate the rooms as we did not spend the night. Good casual food options on the casino floor. Easy parking as there was no valet attendant to find. Good live music in the lounge.

The Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee is a fantastic destination that offers far more than just gaming—it's a complete, upscale getaway experience. Tucked away in Southwest Florida, this venue provides all the high-energy excitement of a major casino with the relaxed comfort of a boutique hotel. The casino floor itself is vibrant, featuring over 1,400 slot machines and 40 live gaming tables, including blackjack, craps, and roulette. Whether you're a high-stakes player or just looking for a bit of fun, the atmosphere is electric and the staff are always friendly. Dining options are varied and excellent. You can find everything from a surf and turf at the EE-TO-LEET-KE Grill and authentic Asian cuisine at Lucky Mi Noodle House, to classic New York-style deli fare at the 1st Street Deli. The Seminole Center has some great classic rock, R&B, and country acts while the Zig Zag Lounge is the spot for consistent, nightly live bands. A quick drive from FT Myers. Downside: The air conditioning always seems to be a problem in cooling the facility and remediating the smoke with proper equipment. With new casino equipment that generate heat and the amount of people inside the building. I can remember when smoking was never a problem and you never smelt it. Perhaps an air conditioning upgrade is due at this casino.

Average hotel, friendly staff, probably one of the worst casinos I've played. Tables suck, payouts are crappie, floor is smokey, and slots are some of the worst I've played. OK as a hotel, terrible as a casino. If you play slots bring a few thousand to burn if you want to win. If you play tables its super hit or miss. All in all the facility is clean but smokey, staff is nice, food is tasty, but you won't take any money home. Been here dozens of times and the only people I know who "win" put in thousands to come out a few hundred ahead, and that's best case. I have spent a few thousand on slots, $500 to $1000 per visit, and have never seen a jackpot. If you have $3-5 thousand to burn in a night you may see 1 or 2 small jackpots that won't even let you break even. Ifnyou love losing money and hanging out in the middle of nowhere, this is the casino for you.

I enjoy my time at Seminole Casino. The staff is amazing. Food is great and rooms are clean and spacious. The casino area offers such a great array of games from the tables to the slot machines. The entertainment has never been lacking. I have not been to one of their great line ups (one day soon I hope) but they seem very entertaining and varied. The pool area has great potential but unfortunately is lacking.

I rarely visit Casinos. I'm well into my 70s and have only visited casinos about 10 times in my life. My wife and I were on a route which passed the Immokalee Casino and we decided to drop in for a brief visit. We had light meal and spent about an hour on the slots. We had fun. Smoking was apparent in the casino but there were smok free areas. If you're careful, you can find areas where the smoke/smell isn't an annoyance. We'll go back again.
