Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry provides high-speed ferry services between Quonset Point, Rhode Island and Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard. The ferry runs multiple times a day, with the journey taking approximately an hour and a half. Passengers are advised to arrive at least thirty minutes before departure. The ferry is well-maintained and offers a lighthouse tour with knowledgeable guides providing historical information.
The “Lighthouse Tour” was fantastic and a good value. The boat was large and safe. The route takes you around the southern half of Narragansett Bay and all of Newport harbor. The historical narration was also top notch. Do it!

We took the Fast Ferry from Martha’s Vineyard to Rhode Island and it was an awesome experience! Everyone was super sweet on board! Shout out to Scott Small for giving us exceptional care and also hotel and restaurant recs! He even took a picture of my and my BFF!!! Highly recommend!
Brandi H — Google review
I really enjoyed the RI Lighthouse & Newport Harbor Tour. The tour was aboard their fast ferry, it had open seating on 3 levels with interior and exterior seating so regardless of the weather you can enjoy your time. It was warm and sunny, so I was happy to be able to choose when I was in the shade. There is a snack and drinks bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had great RI history to share. Next time I have friends/family visit, I’ll be taking them on this tour. Parking was convenient (and free for tour attendees) although it was gravel. Overall, great way to see and learn so much in only 90 minutes.
Ricardo G — Google review
I'm so glad I booked the lighthouse tour for my family and I! The boat was so nice; there was an AC section as well as 2 open air sections. I got some amazing photos of the lighthouses and learned more about them from the guide. Also, the staff was very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Jesse U — Google review
Really an excellent tour on a quality vessel. The narration was well done and informative. Felt like a good value and though full there was lots of additional room to move about for photo opportunities etc. The boat has a good mix of covered and exposed seating to handle a mix of weather.

First time traveling on the Martha's Vineyard Fast Ferry!! What a great way to travel to & from the Vineyard without bringing our car. No crowds, easy parking & wonderful staff.
Marc O — Google review
Excellent customer service, clean seats, as well as bathrooms. Not only were they organized with the que but the staff went above and beyond! Stored our suitcase as we boarded, greeted everyone with a smile, and a welcoming chat. Shout out Keith, who came around our 2nd floor deck to ask us if we needed anything but actually stopped (to each group of travelers) and offered to take a photo as a memento of our crossing.

First time on catermaran...i loved it. The staff was really great and I didn't drink or anything. But I just enjoyed the full experience.

Zoos & Aquariums
Nestled in 40 acres of woodlands, Roger Williams Park Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the country and a model for modern zoo design. The kid-friendly environment offers an opportunity to see over 100 species from around the world, including snow leopards, giraffes, elephants, zebras, red pandas, and more. Visitors can enjoy a petting zoo, wetlands trail, zipline adventure, and even take a ride on a vintage carousel.
Enjoy going here for the annual Jack-o-lantern Spectacular. The tickets for Spectacular are only available online. We visited during the dinosaur event they were having over the summer as well in addition to the zoo. Love this zoo and the variety of animals. The wild cats and penguins are some of my favorites.
Melissa D — Google review
Our recent trip to the Roger Williams Park Zoo was a perfect outing for our family, earning it a solid four out of five stars. My wife and I took our five-year-old daughter, and it was a joy to watch her excitement as we explored. The zoo is incredibly well-suited for families with young children and provides a day full of fun and discovery. For a five-year-old, the highlight was undoubtedly the farmyard area. She absolutely loved brushing the friendly goats and getting to see them up close. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that made her feel connected to the animals. The train ride was another big hit, giving us a playful way to see parts of the zoo while taking a short break from walking. We were also thrilled to see the giraffes towering over us and the elephants in their indoor enclosure. Seeing the golden lion tamarins and the beautiful blue hyacinth macaws in their habitats was also very special. The clear map at the entrance was a huge help, allowing us to easily navigate with our little one and ensure we saw all the animals on her list. The zoo's focus on conservation is a huge plus, and we felt great about supporting their mission. In short, Roger Williams Park Zoo is a fantastic destination for a family outing. It’s a place that creates lasting memories, and we highly recommend it. We can’t wait to go back again soon.

Highly recommended!! Truly incredible experience at the Pumpkin Spectacular! We booked tickets for 8 pm. Arrived with a fast moving line, which had no wait. Check in was a breeze and for a Saturday night it was packed but didn’t feel like so as the trails are wide enough to accommodate a crowd. The pumpkins are amazing to look at, especially the artist carved ones. One of the coolest and most do October bucket list items in New England! We parked above the zoo which was a 10 minute walk to the entrance as it was free. The lines to park were long and do create a wait. Parking is free or you can pay $15 for premium parking which the lot was quite empty for. Bathrooms are available and food trucks of fried dough, adult beverages, snacks etc. Definitely an awesome date night or a fun night out with the family
Talia N — Google review
A great zoo for all age groups. There is so much to see that you can easily spend the day admiring the incredible collection of animals in a recreated microcosm of their native environment. Easy, leisurely, paved walking paths everyday along with signs and educational info on the various sights before you.
John M — Google review
Came here for the Jack o Lantern walk, but I’ve been to the zoo proper before, albeit many years ago. Very cool attraction. It’s about a mile walk, takes about an hour to get through. Hundreds, if not thousands of pumpkins throughout. Some are very ornate. There’s some trivia related to the art on some of the pumpkins throughout as well. Great fun for all ages. This is the fourth year we’ve been and plan on returning for many years to come!
Evan M — Google review
Quick trip to the zoo when we traveled through Rhode Island. Morning was a great time to go. Animals were out and it felt we had the park to ourselves with the little traffic that was there. Only downside is that they weren't fully owned but understandable since there wasn't a lot of people. We went on a Thursday morning.
Sheyenne D — Google review
We came for the Jack o lantern Spectacular and it was a great experience! So fun and beautiful art! We went on a busy Saturday night for the 9PM slot. There is free parking on the side streets or in the zoo parking lots. You can pay $15 for “vip parking” right in front of the event entrance. We parked at the back of the zoo lot and walked a little. It took us 15 min to get to the lot to park due to traffic. There are people directing you where to park in the lot. Once you’re inside, you can stroll as fast or slow as you want. We spent an hour inside. The trivia questions are fun. The answers are at the end of the path.
Jen B — Google review
My wife and I went for the jack-o-lantern spectacular. This is an annual event held at the zoo in the evening. As always, it was absolutely amazing and outstanding. We both highly recommend it to anyone who wants to bring their children and or just themselves to see pumpkins car in the most artistic and fantastic way possible. There are over 5,000 pumpkins available to see, many of which are carved to be like Museum pieces of Art.

The museum has collections from many different artists, including pieces by famous French Impressionists, ancient Egyptian sculptures, American paintings from the 18th century to contemporary works, and much more. We had a wonderful time visiting the RISD Museum. It’s truly a rich and inspiring place, filled with impressive collections from around the world. The museum showcases both artistic and historical pieces, and every corner offers something meaningful to see. It’s not just a museum, but a place where you can spend hours discovering and learning. Anyone visiting Providence should definitely make sure to see this museum!

Rhode Island School of Design's Museum is a place to make yourself immerse in the world of mysterious artifacts and amazing work of art. I visited it with my friends and we were supposed to leave in an hour but ended up spending over 3 hours the reason, we felt like past, present and future were all here at once. A must visit place which not only showcases the best artwork from the world but also of the students who are painting the art for the coming generations. Highly recommended! I would like to visit it once again for sure. Kudos to everyone making our experience a memorable one.
Hritik — Google review
My family and I love to go to museums and we decided to check this one out due to the size. The employees could use some training when it comes to attitude. We found the front desk lady to lack some basic communication skills. I understand museums and security specially certain ones in corners etc. However I didn't feel comfortable with some of the security people following us around and staring us down when we'd be the only ones in the room. It didn't make me feel comfortable or like I could take the time to admire a piece. I wanted to leave 20 minutes in because of this. The museum is extremely large, expect to be here a minimum of 2 hours. The total admission for 3 adults was 66 dollars. Overall, I loved the art and pieces we did get to see. They're displayed quite well. Some even felt magical :)
Yamilca L — Google review
RISD has a bit of everything from modern all the way to ancient works. It took us a couple hours to go through the exhibits, and it's very well curated. The Liz Collins exhibit was intriguing, I was not familiar with her work. Check it out while it's still there. I also enjoyed the Pendleton house the museum essentially surrounds with period pieces of American making. The Asian and medieval exhibits were also highlights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The entrance is un assuming, and 30 ft from the street in the side of the building. You then take an elevator to the 3rd floor and start your way to the 6th floor. We were nearby on a Sunday and visited. Admission is free on Sundays. It's worth checking out!
John P — Google review
Rsid was amazing. I was in town for a conference and looking for something interesting and the fact that Sundays are free made it even better. I had an amazing time exploring the various levels of the museum. If I had a suggestion, it would be to have a shop there or make sure to tell visitors about the rsid store that is across the street. I found it on my own but might have missed it otherwise!
Gretchen P — Google review
Found this delightful art museum when visiting Providence on a whim one Sunday which turned out to be the bonus day when entry is free to all every Sunday The whole experience of visiting this place really uplifted me from the super helpful and friendly staff at the door to the many myriad of design art on display from many different cultures and across both historical and contemporary timelines As an Engineer, I left feeling creatively inspired by the many different art forms on display. I truly did enjoy my time walking through the well laid out exhibits
Eugene C — Google review
So much fun to explore! Beautiful exhibits! We had my 6 and 9 year old daughters with us and some staff was so sweet with them and informitive while others gave them dirty looks for pointing at painting not touching just pointing at things they liked about them. I felt uncomfortable in some areas when we were being followed like suspects. We didn't let it ruin our experience though and still explored everything.
Lacey P — Google review
First time visitors. What an amazing place. Helpful staff, beautifully displayed work. Spent about 2 hours here and enjoyed every minute. We are definitely not art or museum folks but this was a great way to spend a part of our day. Highly recommend

Concerts & Shows
The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts is an opulent Renaissance-style space that has a rich history dating back to 1904 when it was originally known as the Franklin Square Theatre. Over the years, it has undergone several ownership changes and renovations, including the addition of a stunning two-story lobby with marbleized columns, mirrored walls, and a grand staircase.
Had an epic experience at The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory to see “To Kill A Mockingbird”. The inside is so beautiful and elegant. Great view of the stage. Clean restrooms. Outside there were vibrant light installations.
Jos M — Google review
Went here last night with my Mom 11/08/24. To see Ain't too proud to beg The Life and Times of The Temptations. The performance was rather good . The performers were a " little chucky." But still really talented and still a pretty good show. The biggest issue with THT is that there's so many volunteers ( who don't seem like they care and do nothing) and less engaged with the people. A lot of Elderly volunteers, and they didn't know much and barely interacted with people into auditorium. The THT , needs a like bit of ( TLC ) , still quite pretty and differently needs some explanation like there foyer and the lobby they need to do something or you get a drink / souvenir or nothing at all. I didn't even have time to use the men's bathrooms the line ls were so long, and so we're the lines for snacks / beverages . They didn't even take our money our at the stand. We were going to order a cookie, and they just passed by us. Overall still a great performance. The performers needed more attire , the where they were wearing alot of the same clothes . They needed more of a variety of clothing and such like props etc.
Tyler W — Google review
I attended a performance of Shen Yun and I had a good time in spite of the cramped seats in the balcony. My friend, Author Itis and his brother Bruce complained and let me know it! The staff were professional and security did not give people a hard time. There is a metal detector at the entrances. I would empty your pockets before entering and have your ticket 🎫 ready before the metal detector. The lines to get in were long but they did move smoothly. I would try to arrive early but I had issues with parking 🅿️ so I was seated as the performance started. I liked the inside with its lights, chandeliers and ornate ceiling. The sound was good and my view 🙈 from the balcony was enjoyable. The men's bathroom was in good condition. The Shen Yun performance and choreography is a mixture of ballet 🩰, folk, tumbling and gymnastics. Though the man ♂️ and woman ♀️ who narrated the show said that the styles of dance originated from Chinese folk dance. Bright 🌞 vibrant colors from the costumes and the digital screen catch 🪝 the eyes 👀! The orchestra is a combination of both Chinese and European instruments. There are social and political messages that might be controversial. I ordered my ticket 🎟️ online and the price of the service fee was expensive! Be aware before ordering. I paid $85 so it really drove up the price. Was Shen Yun worth the $300+ ticket? No. But I did enjoy the show and so did the audience. I hope the performers and musicians receive a good wage from their excellent 👌 performances! I did speak 🗣️ to Chris and I had a pleasant conversation about my purchase. I purchased through Shen Yun and Chris was concerned that I was overcharged by a secondary seller. That is good customer service! If there is a performance I really want to see, I would consider visiting this theater 🎭 again!
Stephen P — Google review
Great theater, outstanding staff, really overpriced beverages and extremely narrow small sits. Excellent acoustics and great view from anywhere in the orchestra sitting area. I came to Brad Williams comedy show and was positively surprised by 2 opening comedians as well as a meet and greet at the end where we could take pictures with all the comedians and get autographs, buy merchandise and that was simply amazing!
Livia L — Google review
Great venue. Saw a concert and it was an amazing experience. Great acoustics and theater is nice. Lots of food and beverage choices within walking distance to grab a bite and drink before the show.
Larry S — Google review
Don't let the outside construction ward you off from coming inside to see a show. The line moved seamlessly. Well staffed. Bathrooms were clearly marked and very clean. I sat in gold circle orchestra. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of leg room. The sound system was great. Lighting was amazing. I liked that there were no stairs, it was sloped and carpeted. The drink prices were reasonable. Bottled water was 3.00. Easy in and out of the theater. I will attend again now that I know how amazing this page is.
Dee S — Google review
What a great visit we had while attending a performance of “A Christmas Carol”. I was so impressed with all manner of the production, from the sets and scenery, the music, lighting to the acting. I am looking forward to viewing more productions at The Hanover Theater very much and can highly recommend doing so.

Museums
The Worcester Art Museum is a renowned institution housing an extensive and diverse collection of over 35,000 artworks spanning more than 5,000 years. From ancient to contemporary pieces, the museum showcases European masterworks alongside global cultural artifacts. Visitors can admire paintings by renowned artists such as Monet and Goya, explore the silver collection by Paul Revere, marvel at floor mosaics from Antioch, and immerse themselves in cutting-edge contemporary art.
World class museum featuring a Monet masterpiece from his time in London. Ancient Rome fan? Fascinated by gladiatorial games? Well you in for a real treat, with an actual real Gladiator helmet from Ancient Roman times. Also some actual Ancient Rome busts of emperors Marcus Aurelius, Caligula, and Nero dating back to 1st Century AD. Also a Greek helmet dating back from 450 BC. Ancient Egyptian art dating back to 1980 BC. When you walk you the showstopper of the place is a big beautiful floor mosaic dating back to 500AD. Terrific tapestries, Rodin and Houdon sculpture. John Singer Sargent pieces. Also pretty cool Medieval stained glass from 1200s, and knight chain mail. Awesome tapestries and Japanese art exhibit when I went.

Beautiful museum. Some incredible exhibits and historical items. My only minor complaint was that the Higgins Armor exhibit won’t be open until the fall. My daughter enjoyed trying on the armor as well.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Egyptian and Sumerian artifacts at this museum. Loved the art and of course the Egyptian and Sumerian stuff. I thought they inherited the medieval armor but I only saw 1. Kids enjoyed the scavenger hunt and my 2 youngest did enjoy the story telling. Nice little thing to do around Worcester.

I've been visiting the Worcester Art Museum (WAM) on an occasional basis for decades, despite not living in the vicinity. Particularly given the size of the surrounding community, It continues to display an impressively varied "encyclopedic" collection, although as the buildings that house it have developed over the years, parts of the collection, notably including American and contemporary art, are less than favorably displayed and the circuitous traffic pattern can be difficult to navigate--and yes, this was the case well before the current massive construction reportedly intended to integrate their receipt of the late lamented Higgins Armory Museum collection. The European painting galleries manage to present a chronological review of painting traditions from early Italian gold leaf panels to works from the early twentieth century. There are several works by better known artists, ranging from a fine panel by Piero di Cosimo to canvases by J.S. Sargent, and many important artistic traditions are well represented, even if not necessarily by their foremost practitioners, although some of the works are hung so high, with such indifferent lighting, that they can be difficult to see. There is a fine medieval French chapter house permanently reinstalled off the Renaissance courtyard whose own floor is particularly noteworthy for its fine Roman mosaic, a relic from an earlier time when the Museum engaged in archeological endeavors. WAM also offers multiple rooms devoted to arts of Asian cultures. There is a regular program of special exhibitions, which in recent years have ranged from an extensive loan display of Rembrandt etchings to an installation from their own storerooms of several fine European tapestries, although the later would have benefited from more detailed and thoughtful labels. The WAM also has a long history of art educational endeavors to which an entire building is dedicated. For a time some years ago they had a very pleasant restaurant with table service, sadly long gone. Free parking is located across the street, but although technically accessible, the museum can be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Gillette Stadium

Stadium
Fun & Games
Gillette Stadium, home to the NFL's New England Patriots and the MLS's New England Revolution, is a massive coastal-themed venue that also hosts concerts. The stadium underwent a $225 million renovation, featuring upgrades like the country's largest video board and a 218-foot tower offering panoramic views of the stadium and eastern Massachusetts. Visitors can easily access nearby attractions such as Boston and Providence from hotels like Hampton Inn & Suites Foxborough-Mansfield.
Gillette Stadium is pure football heaven. The moment you walk up, you feel the history and the heartbeat of New England fans. Inside, the energy is unmatched—every seat feels like part of the action, and when the crowd roars, you feel it in your chest. The Pats–Panthers game this week was electric, the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why this place is called the home of champions. Yes, traffic and parking are what you’d expect at a massive stadium, but once you’re in, it’s all worth it. Great views, clean facilities, and a fan experience that makes you proud to be here. Foxborough is where memories get made. Go Pats! 🏈

This June, we were thrilled to visit here since we hadn’t been in for many years. Finally, we made it. We really enjoyed it so much - all of the entire Gillette Stadium area! We spent 5 hours walking around and also went to the Lighthouse for viewing Gillette Stadium, which was amazing to see from the top. The Lighthouse attendant was meh. Later, my friend, who hadn’t been here for years, came back here with me last week, and I gave her a tour. We went back to the Lighthouse, and I asked a question to the new (top) attendant, Dylan, but he admitted that he was new. He is a very nice guy, very helpful, humble, and led us to the views with his explanation. We were very impressed with him better than the first one. I just want to say that Dylan is the best Lighthouse (top) attendant! Applaud Dylan for his excellent job!

Go Pats! We visited from out of state. Great facility for football fans. The pro shop is well stocked, the museum is great and the view from the lighthouse is spectacular! The lighthouse cost $5 per person, well worth the expense. Unfortunately, our vacation dates didn't align with a home game...

Great place! Gillette Stadium is a great place to catch a game or concert. The views from the seats are solid, the sound system is powerful, and the crowd makes every event feel bigger than life. Whether it’s a Pats game or a show the atmosphere is great. Beyond the action, the stadium itself is well-kept and easy to navigate. The food options are solid, and Patriot Place next door has plenty of spots to eat or hang out before and after. One of the coolest features is the new lighthouse making the venue stand out in a way that feels unique in Ne. If you ever get the chance to go, it’s absolutely worth it.

One of the better NFL stadiums I've been to. Very fan friendly. The ramps are gradual inclines, and there are alot of them. Food is decently priced for stadium food and is pretty good! Didn't look like there was a bad seat in the house. Overall a great experience for this Steelers fan.

Gillette Stadium is a really nice venue modern, clean, and well-organized. The atmosphere is incredible, especially on game days or during concerts. The facilities are top-notch, with great seating, good visibility from almost every spot, and plenty of food and drink options. Parking and access are well managed, and the energy of the crowd makes every visit memorable. A great place for any major event!

What a class act Patriot Nation is! I've been in the loge seats before and they were great, I've been in the Club seats before and they were outstanding, now I've been in the Luxury suites and there's nothing other than Heaven that could top it! Mr Kraft you are a serious class act! Thank you for the on field experience! The service and the food was second to none. If you ever get a chance to go to a Luxury suite you're a fool for not going! Patriots Nation to the end!

The Patriots Hall of Fame

The Patriots Hall of Fame is a technology-rich museum located at Patriots Place, dedicated to showcasing the history and memorabilia of the New England Patriots. Even if you're not a die-hard Pats fan, you can't help but be captivated by the legacy of the Brady-Belichick era, widely regarded as one of the greatest dynasties in professional sports.
3rd visit today—every time is phenomenal. The Brady Statue exhibit was incredible, and I really hope it becomes a permanent fixture at the Museum. It absolutely deserves a home here. It actually got me thinking: we should also have an exhibit dedicated to our Super Bowl losses. As painful as they are, they’re a huge part of our history. Everyone remembers the Eagles loss and those two brutal heartbreakers against the Giants. I’ll never forget the Patriots-Packers Super Bowl in ’96—that was the first Pats game I clearly remember watching as a kid. And to this day, I feel like we don’t talk enough about our very first Super Bowl appearance against the Bears. Those AFC Champions paved the way. Even looking back at Brady’s 2006 AFC Championship loss to Manning—up 21–3 at the half before the comeback—that game was historic in its own right. Or the dominant 2007 Brady/Moss team that steamrolled the league. Wins or losses, these teams helped define the franchise. What’s wild is how similar this 2025 team feels to the 2007 squad—minus the explosive scoring (for now!). But the excitement is there. Brady’s teams used to win by a thousand papercuts; this new Vrabel era brings a totally different, refreshing style of gameplay. Honestly, those early teams—including that first Super Bowl run against the Bears—deserve recognition too. That was our first big stage moment, and it should be honored. Phenomenal visit. Can’t wait to come back again. Def pay the extra $5 to visit the Lighthouse tower when you’re here. It’s not available on game day but otherwise spectacular views of our stadium!

S dream come true coming to the PHOF! Such an awesome experience too. 3 stories high and you start your way from the top story working your way down to the gift shop which has a HUGE amount of official Patriots gear. Very interactive experience with simulators from kicking field goals to challenging plays, to intercepting game winning footballs. Such a cool experience.

A fantastic experience! Highly recommend you visit the HOF and spend at least 1 hour walking through. The green screen experience was fun for children. The museum docent was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Oldest known football 🏈 on display as well. Lots of high tech interactive displays. Make sure you watch the 18 min 🍿 movie! It was a highlight!

They did a wonderful job with the New England Patriots hall of fame. The history of the early years is fantastic. We met Frank, and he is very knowledgeable on the Patriots history. We also went up in the lighthouse. It was overcast ☁️ 😪 so the view was not very clear.

Great Wolf Lodge | New England

Resort hotel
Water & Amusement Parks
All-suite resort with some themed rooms, plus a huge indoor water park, kid's spa & bowling alley.
We had an amazing stay at Great Wolf Lodge! It’s truly the perfect place for a birthday celebration. Our kids had an absolute blast! Between the indoor water park, arcade, and all the fun activities, there was never a dull moment. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the lodge itself was clean and cozy. There are food options on-site, but we also ventured out and tried nearby restaurants like Marcello’s and we highly recommend it! The food was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!

Had a wonderful stay! Plenty of parking, easy check-in. The room was clean and spacious. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The swim rides were fun and refreshing. The musical entertainment (we went during the Howl ween month) was awesome for all ages. The breakfast buffet The next morning was delicious and well worth the money. Overall, not a single complaint. My wife loved every minute of our stay.

I would've given this Great Wolf's Lodge a 5 star but unfortunately they were doing som renovations and some of the restaurants and waterpark activities were being worked on. The breakfast buffet was moved to the conference room but was still decent. Most of the waterpark was still open and available. I loved that the temperature of the water was perfect. We've been to a few where later in the season the water is very cold and not enjoyable for toddlers. We were on the 4th floor near the lobby and our room seemed to be remodeled. My friends room was near the mini golf area and it was very nice and also remodeled. Very spacious for her and her family. The staff was absolutely amazing. The characters were excellent and super friendly and I loved that there are plenty of activities for the kids to do. We will definitely be back and hopefully all of the construction will be done

Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, MA is a very nice hotel. It's great fun for families, especially children. It has recently been renovated, and looks nice. Be prepared to be nickeled and dimed. As of writing this review, daily parking rates are $19 PER DAY, per car. There is a $100 incidental hold PER NIGHT. Don't act surprised when you get there. Most booking sites list that information. It's up to you to read. There are no longer hair dryers and microwaves in every room (this is not updated on any booking sites or the Great Wolf Lodge site). Each floor has community microwaves in the hall areas close to the elevators. I'm unsure of the reason, but it's a bit ridiculous. My guess is to make people purchase food there. They want that $$$. There are many food options on-site, but be prepared to pay out the nose for meals. The food is just, okay. Nothing special about it, but it's not the worst. The water parks are fun and usually over crowded, but passes for dry activities need to be purchased separately. The wolf passes are the best value in my experience. The front desk staff is very friendly. Jensen was a great help and his smile made the check-in process a breeze. The security staff seems rude and lazy, and housekeeping tends to fall behind but seem pretty thorough in the rooms. Too many people park at the entrance when it's clearly posted "Do Not Park". This causes cars to be backed up and unable to get through. Guests are ignorant and feel entitled so they don't care about rules. Also too much cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke is on the property outside the building. The "No smoking" policy does 't seem to be enforced as well as it should be. Again, lazy security.

Great resort for kids! My 2 year old enjoyed the indoor Waterpark for hours and hours and never got bored. Arcade and build a bear was fun as well. There are many paid things to do and eat but they also don't prevent you from bring in your own food to save on money. We will be back!

This place is great. My daughter loves it. We have been like 4 times we just took her again last weekend for her birthday and had a blast. The only complaint I have is that they offered us a room that overlooked the lobby because it was ready early, so they said we could check in early. The woman at the desk told us that the only thing was that with it being close to the lobby that it was noisy during the day but that it was quiet at night, I figured it wouldn't be a problem since we planned on being at the Waterpark during the day. We'll they were blasting music so loud until like 9:00 at night. We were exhausted at like 8 and wanted to go to bed and we couldn't cuz it was so loud. She did not tell me that they would be blasting music until 9 pm. She just said noisy during the day. That really sucked. So I do not recommend getting a room overlooking or close to the lobby if they offer it, cuz it was a nightmare!

Always welcoming with a greeting and a smile. Ethan helped with wolf passes and was very helpful explaining them. Jessica was super helpful checking us in and helping us navigate the trouble with the bank. Rebecca and Carlos both had very friendly service and very accommodating and attentive. Justin was very passionate with bringing my daughter bear. Emily was very helpful with my daughter arcade experience. Kimberly was helpful with the bubble wands and I was able to teach her a cool function the violet wolf does. Branden was helpful with my daughter arcade experience. Mia was helpful in getting my daughter not to fear the zip line. Daniel was very helpful in the kids rope course too and rescued the birthday badge

Highly recommend! They have everything so organized and it made for an enjoyable experience. I like the QR to order drinks and that they brought it to you. We also got a flat bread which was great! Parking lot was full, but they are thoughtful with seating so it didn’t feel like it. Grab a wine slushie, so good!

Beautiful piece of property and excellent wine! My husband and I did the tour with a tasting and it was awesome! Our guide (Derek or Darryl I believe) was very knowledgeable and engaging! We bought 3 bottles of wine when we left! We also ate lunch at the Knoll while we were there. The figgy piggy pizza was great but everything else was sub par and over priced. I guess you can’t expect much from a winery in terms of food, but still disappointing. Next time we will book a reservation at J’s restaurant on site. We did not Apple pick but it was available while we were there and lots of people were doing it! It’s a family friendly place(dogs too!) and a great outing ! Highly recommend reservations during peak season!

My favorite place for apple picking after my children became teenagers. The property is lovely, and everything is laid out well. Price for the 1/2 bushel bag was very reasonable (no farm animals, no kid-centric entertainment, no hedge maze. The terrain doesn't have a lot of hills, so it's easy to get where you need to go. Apple picking is fun and can be completed at your own pace. The apple trees are clearly identifiable with signage, color coded ribbons, map with descriptions and key to what apple tree has what ribbon colors. I spent 90 minutes meandering around and got 6-7 different varieties of apples (there were attempting least 4-5 varieties that I skipped). There was even one variety that was marked in the orchard but not on the map; it was a happy surprise. The Orchard also offers antique varieties of apples. To find out about what varieties are being picked and when, you can sign up to be on the mailing list to get the updates/notification. The antique apples tend to be ones you do not see much in a supermarket or can be ones that are great for cider making. We go for the antiques varieties that are good for eating or baking. Our favorites this past season were Cox Orange Pippins, Snow, and Kandil Sinap. My family enjoys this orchard because it's easy to navigate, is less chaotic, and is very organized. My daughter and I have planned to have a mom and daughter outing one she is 21 years old to have some wine and food... and walk off the alcohol with some apple picking!

This place was such a cute vibe. I went here with a couple of friends and we really enjoyed our time. There was live music which was nice while sippin on a sangria. I got the turkey club with a side of fries and I was actually super surprised how much I enjoyed my meal. It’s always hard to get a sandwich that I like and this was was soooooo gooood. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely love Nashoba Winery! Every visit is such a treat — the grounds are beautiful, the wine and beer are always delicious, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff truly make the experience extra special — everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable, especially the team in the store. They’re always happy to offer recommendations and take the time to chat, which makes each visit feel personal and memorable. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

Last Sunday I was invited to go to lunch with my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised! The weather was beautiful as was the scenery. Food was delicious as well. We had a server by the name of Adam that was wonderful. He served our drinks in a timely manner. I was so pleased with food, service, drinks and atmosphere that I went back today and bought a gift certificate to give to my nephew and his girlfriend. I know they will enjoy it.
Mary A — Google review
This was my first time visiting Nashoba Valley Winery, and overall my wife and I had a great experience. Upon first impression, I thought the grounds could use a bit more upkeep, but everything else made up for it. Parking was easy thanks to two very helpful attendants directing traffic. On the way to the Knoll area, we were greeted by friendly staff, which set a great tone for the day. A tip for first-time visitors: definitely make reservations for whatever you plan to do. The food was delicious—highly recommend the Figgy Piggy! I wasn’t a big fan of the Birria Tacos, but that’s just personal taste. The wines were fantastic, and you absolutely have to try the wine slushi. We did the tasting tour with Darrel as our guide—he was knowledgeable and made the experience enjoyable, though it started a bit late due to others arriving behind schedule (which was frustrating but out of the staff’s control). The winery is busiest in the Fall and is only closed four days a year. One thing I’d suggest is for their website to be a little more detailed about the different types of tastings available, especially for first-time visitors like me. All in all, it was a memorable trip, and I’ll definitely be going back!

Love this winery! Had an amazing time with my family today and very much enjoyed the live music and all the dogs! The staff here is extremely friendly and inviting, especially Delia and Hannah who greeted us at the entrance and were so helpful and informative on where everything is as this was our first time here as a family. They really brightened our day with their joyful personalities and just made our first time here even better. Will definitely be coming back again!!!

North Bridge in Concord is a historic replica of the 1775 bridge where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. It's located in a picturesque setting within Minute Man National Historical Park, surrounded by wooded areas and rolling pastures. The bridge holds significant historical importance as it was the site of a key battle during the American Revolution, marking the first American victory. Visitors can stroll through Colonial-period stone walls and explore plaques that add to its historical aura.
A must-visit for anyone interested in American history. The North Bridge is the site of the “shot heard ’round the world,” marking one of the first battles of the American Revolutionary War in 1775. The area is beautifully maintained with informative plaques and scenic walking paths. It’s a peaceful and quiet place to reflect, with a lovely walk along the Concord River and through the surrounding historic grounds. Perfect for a short, meaningful visit that blends nature and history.

Beautiful September Sunday to take a walk from the adjacent parking to the visitors center at the top of the hill. There are lots of nice trails leading off the main path along the way. The river was low but lots of folks with rooftop boats enjoying the water. There was a memorial service in session on the grounds of the visitor center that was well attended by about 300 people. It is an easy walk with plenty to read and learn along the way. The parking lot was very full but luckily found one of the last spots. I would get there earlier next time. Not nearly as busy on a weekday.

It was absolutely beautiful, and it was amazing to be standing in a place of such meaningful history. It was also very cool to see the residences of people such as Louisa May Alcott in the way to the Old North Bridge, as well as the Old Manse of Ralph Waldo Emerson at the bridge itself.

Beautiful home and gardens. I noticed they have put up protections around a snapping turtle nest off the path - good conservation efforts! The park rangers were very well informed and I enjoyed the visit.

North Bridge in Concord is a quick and easy stop for anyone who appreciates American history. It's only 10 minutes from the main highway, doesn't cost anything to see, and its historical significance as where the Revolutionary War began speaks for itself. It's a quick and easy stop if you're just passing through, otherwise you can make a day of it with the area offering a myriad of other historical sites to visit in addition to North Bridge. All of this said, I highly recommend it as a stop for all lovers of history.

If you are interested in American history you should visit here. If you want a shorter walk, or have physical limitations, park in the lot off Monument Street. Regardless, also stop at the Visitor Center.

Really amazing experience to stand in the same place where the first fights go birth the nation happened. Incredibly beautiful lane that’s well maintained.

Honestly, my emotions surprised me. The crowd dispersed briefly and I ended up on the bridge alone. It was beautiful, quiet and simple yet profound. The farmer statue reminds you of what happened here. There’s even a small tribute to the British who died at the battle of Concord. I didn’t realize Hawthorne bought the adjacent land. Take time to travel Author’s Row along the drive up from Lexington. Definitely a location worth visiting!!

Minute Man National Historical Park, located along Route 2A near Concord Center, is a significant site in American history. It encompasses the route taken by the Redcoats during the Revolutionary War and features historical landmarks such as Old North Bridge and The Wayside. Visitors can explore the area where the first battle of the war took place and learn about Paul Revere's ride through reenactments on Patriots Day.
May is the perfect time to visit this place, when you will see the best of the spring in New England; and also get educated with American history along the way. Starting from the visitor center, you will be able to watch a video about the whole story; then get a map which tells you everywhere you can go and every parking lot it has. Aiming for a good spring-time hike, I enjoyed the farmland and North Bridge the most, but there are more things to see, such as the Orchard House (which offers you a nice guided tour with $15).
Wanyu H — Google review
Was disappointed to find the visitors center closed during the posted open hours. There were no rangers or anyone around. I'm sure that's due to governmental budget cuts and not the fault of park personnel. It's a beautiful park with incredibly preserved historical structures and plenty of informative signage. The trails are well-kept and there were lots of great birding opportunities and I saw turtles and frogs/froglets in the pond near the visitors center. I do plan on getting over here more since it's my local park.

Beautiful National Park with loads of American History. Walking paths galore, some shaded some without shade. Locals clearly enjoy the park for cycling and recreation. Two visitor centers, the main one has very limited hours, the North Bridge has more regular hours. Many rangers out throughout the park and available to answer questions and tell the history. Tours are also available for a fee. Park is also close to many other great historical spots in MA.

I learned so much more about American History! We only had one day to spend in the area. So we visited 3 sites: the North Bridge in Concord, the Minute Man National Historical Park in Lincoln, and the Lexington Battle Green in Lexington. We could have spent an entire week here visiting all of the Revolution sites as well as the literary sites from the Transcendentalist era, which I had no idea were so related! If you have time, rent a bike and follow the path of the British regulars as they were pushed back to Boston.

Very nice historical place, describing the beginnings of the American Revolution. I recommend the video at the visitor center and also walking the trail that connects the different building and places of interest. Concord is close by and worth visiting.

The Beginning of Independence! My daughter (13) and I visited the Minute Man National Historical Park on July 1, 2025. The Park Rangers were extremely knowledgeable and the park was in excellent condition. The Park marks the first "battle" of the Revolutionary War at Lexington & Concord. This is where things escalated to a point of no return between the British and the Colonists. Highly recommend visiting and taking in the very place that led to American Independence.

We loved this non traditional visitor center. you have to walk a ways but there ia a nice path, no stairs to the building. The mocie ia unique and aboit 45 minutes. We thought it was very good. Check the official website for times, they are different than the posted ones in the parking lot. They closed at noon because they dont have air conditioning.

An absolute MUST visit for EVERYONE who visits Massachusetts! This is where the Revolutionary War began! You are walking through History! You can just feel everything in the atmosphere! The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is a leading art museum with neoclassical and modern wings that showcase a vast collection ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary American works. The museum features the Fenway Exhibition, "Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence," which pays homage to the iconic 19th-century painter and printmaker Katsushika Hokusai.
I recently visited the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and it was an outstanding experience. The museum's collection is vast and beautifully curated, ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary art. One of the highlights was the impressive collection of Impressionist paintings, featuring works by Monet, Degas, and Renoir. The layout of the museum makes it easy to navigate, with clear signage and plenty of space to enjoy each exhibit without feeling crowded. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to provide insights or answer questions. I also appreciated the temporary exhibitions, which brought fresh perspectives and unique pieces to the museum. The on-site café and gift shop were excellent additions, offering a pleasant break during the visit. Overall, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a must-see for anyone interested in art and culture. I would highly recommend setting aside a few hours to truly enjoy everything it has to offer.

The Museum of Fine Arts Boston is incredible. There’s so much to see, from classic masterpieces to contemporary exhibits, and it’s really easy to spend a full day exploring without feeling overwhelmed. The galleries are well laid out, and the museum does a great job of balancing large, famous pieces with smaller, hidden gems! I love how interactive and engaging some of the exhibits are, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The museum has a really welcoming atmosphere, and I always leave inspired and wanting to come back. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a fun, cultural day out, the MFA is definitely worth visiting!! :)

Inside, you'll discover an extraordinary array of art, from ancient Egyptian relics and classical European masterpieces to Greek, Roman, and Impressionist works. Don't miss the captivating collection of musical instruments, which adds an enchanting rhythm to the museum's diverse offerings. Overall, if you’re looking for a fabulous activity to do during the off-season, whether you’re a local or a tourist, MFABoston is an excellent choice! You’ll absolutely love it! Best, Srdan Dokovic

So nice, we went twice! But actually we had a morning planned to see the exhibits and loved what we saw , but had only seen a fraction after a few hours. We went the next day when they have $5 late night tickets to see some more. There's still so much to see and it's all so interesting. The cafe was good for a lunch. The staff were all super friendly. Set aside at least a day to visit if you want to see the highlights of all the exhibits.

Definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend doing an hour long tour which runs throughout the day and it’s included with your admission ticket. The museum is nicely laid out in an organized fashion. There are several dining options. I was happy that there is a casual cafeteria with very reasonable priced foods. The museumwas easily accessible by train, which dropped me off right in front of the museum.

Fenway Park is a historic and intimate ballpark located in Boston, known as the home of the Red Sox and a venue for big-name concerts. It holds a significant place in Boston's built environment, alongside landmarks like Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail. The stadium offers behind-the-scenes tours during the off-season and hosts a popular summer concert series.
Fenway is a iconic and historic ballpark. This was such an amazing experience. Saw the Red Sox vs. Houston Argos game (2-1 home win for Red Sox) and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and energy from the crowd was amazing and the lighteffects after the win were super cool. Food and beverages were okay priced, not too expensive in my opinion. Great experience being there!

This is the best tour I’ve been on in a long time! The street and local atmosphere is something out of a movie, and the tour is very affordable and informative. The guide was fantastic, telling fun stories of his life in Boston and his 10 years working at the field. We saw everything from the original seats to the press box, the green monster, and the special VIP museum that holds World Series balls, bats, uniforms and memorabilia from over the decades. I would recommend this tour to anyone I know, especially baseball lovers. So worth the time and money!

Thanks to Kevin and Zach (apologise if I spelled them wrong) The tour was amazing! They provided clear and touchable introduction about Fenway Park, the immortal and irreplaceable history of Boston Red Sox, including each detail on and off the court, and what did here happened somethings that were truly iconic, and more little adorable sides of the park, such as Fenway Farm! I was impressed by every step I took without a doubt! It was worthy to take a tour here although there's no baseball matches now. Glad to be here to calmly know everything about Fenway!

We took a guided tour of the Fenway stadium. Booked just about 45mins before the tour from the kiosk at the Gate D entrance on the Jersey street. Great experience. The tour guide, Abby (if I remember correctly), was great - very informed as well as great style of presenting facts. With very long history and so many interesting things happened with the Red Sox, the tour was definitely worth it. We don’t watch baseball and have only elementary knowledge of rules but it was still very much easy to understand. Definitely to be done if you’re in Boston.

This was my first time visiting Fenway Park, and even though my team wasn’t playing, I knew I couldn’t come to Boston without checking it out. I’m so glad I did, the energy inside the stadium was incredible! From the moment I walked in, I felt the history and passion that make Fenway such a special place for baseball fans. The crowd was electric, and what really stood out was the sense of community. The entire stadium came together, singing songs, cheering, and living and breathing every moment of the game. I felt completely swept up in the excitement. We just so happened to be there for the game the Red Sox clinched their spot in the playoffs with a walk-off win! The stadium absolutely erupted. I’ve never felt that kind of excitement at a ball game before. You didn’t have to be a Red Sox fan to appreciate the moment. Being there for that walk-off and watching the team celebrate was something I’ll never forget. Fenway isn’t just a place to watch baseball it’s a place to feel it. The atmosphere, the history, the energy it all makes for an incredible experience.

Fenway Park is one of the Mecca's of MLB that every baseball fan needs to visit in person. It was great attending a Boston Red Sox game in the one of the oldest baseball parks in America. The food was good and at a decent price, but it was the surrounding bars and restaurants around the park that made it a great overall baseball and sporting experience!
Josh B — Google review
Being a Cub fan from Chicago, home to the most iconic stadium in all of sport, I must say that I continue to be impressed with the condition of Fenway Park. It's no Wrigley Field, and it being a few years older, doesn't make it "grander", but it's a fun place to see a game. The fans are pretty great, and supportive of their team, but the place emptied out long before the game was over because the Sox were getting their butts kicked. You don't ever see that at Wrigley... no matter what the score. I was in Yankee Stadium in this trip out East too, and I continued to be unimpressed with that ballpark.
Larry B — Google review
Came out from California, San Francisco Giants fan. Got a real good look at this beautiful ballpark. I think what makes it special is the foul lines. Makes it look like an old ballpark I used to play in when I was 12 years old. Just kidding. But it does make it look really authentic when you're young playing baseball. We had a great time with the guide. He was very knowledgeable. And he was from California. I would strongly suggest this place if you are a baseball fan. The tour is great.

The Public Garden, established in 1837 and located adjacent to Boston Common, is a serene and picturesque city park featuring a lagoon, boat rides, fountains, and various attractions. This historic Victorian-era garden boasts meticulously groomed flower beds showcasing 80 plant species, ornate fencing, tree-lined pathways with benches for relaxation, and iconic public art such as the Duckling Sculpture and a statue of George Washington.
My family is here on a college visit and we like to wake up early. We decided to go to the Public garden for the first time on a Sunday morning around 8 am. It was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and calm. Perfect way to start your day.

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot! I could have stayed all day, especially with the perfect fall weather. I captured some amazing Boston shots during my mini photoshoot. While there were plenty of people and lots of photo-taking happening, there were also plenty of quiet corners to escape the crowds. Truly loved my time here!

The Boston Public Garden is a must-see! It's a gorgeous escape right in the middle of the city, and a perfect spot to relax and get away from all the noise. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall when the colors are just magical. I love watching the squirrels play and taking a stroll along the paved pathways. The famous Swan Boats on the lagoon are a charming sight, and the park is great for all ages. It's completely free to enter, open from dawn to dusk, and super easy to get to with the Arlington and Boylston T stops nearby. Don't forget to say hi to the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue! It's a beautiful, peaceful place that's perfect for a walk, a date, or just unwinding.

We love this place! It’s serene and peaceful. This time around, we rode on the Swan Boat which was so nice since the last time we were here was in the Fall and the lake was empty. So glad we were able to check it out in the Summer. Be aware if it’s hot outside, the Swan boat is open so you are exposed to the sun and the elements, but you get a nice breeze from the water.

Loved visiting the public garden. It was so beautiful when we visited. Each tree has a history behind it and a plaque attached telling you where it’s originally from. Lots of space and great for families

Boston Public Garden, located just steps from Boston Common, is truly one of my favorite places in the city! The meticulously maintained gardens, iconic swan boats gliding across the lagoon, and beautiful walking paths create a serene urban oasis—perfect for a quiet stroll or a relaxing afternoon. The floral displays are gorgeously seasonal, and everywhere you look there’s charm: historic statues, shaded benches, and picturesque bridges. The lagoon view, especially at sunset, is postcard-worthy. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this spot is a peaceful escape in the heart of downtown Boston. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat amid beautiful greenery—can't beat this gem near Boston Common!

A very beautiful garden in a very dirty city. This place was great to visit during my time in Boston, especially since everywhere in this city is filled with trash, more trash than I’ve ever seen in a city and that includes Seattle and New York. This garden was well kept, had so many places to walk and see it was just a great experience, do yourself a favor and check it out!

The marketplace also boasts numerous eateries where visitors can sample different cuisines.
Love this place so much, we went once on each day we were in Boston! I loved the tomato based seafood chowder at Boston and Maine Fish Company, next to Chowda. $10 for a small bowl, and buy the garlic bread for $2.50 extra, has a nice tangy crust. The Irish beer pub across the hall is cool to hangout and people-watch. Beers are $9 each. Lots of cool places to eat but watch out for the touristy trap ones.

A great place to go for lunch as a tourist in Boston! So much choice of food. Enjoyed some American Mac and Cheese! The small portion is ginormous . So delicious! Will definitely return when next in Boston. Public toilets available here too!

It's very close to downtown Boston. There are many vendors selling foods, snacks, souvenirs and also many shops with a good collection of apparel. I like the place because it's very walkable and there are artists and also street performances like you can enjoy. You can walk in the building of the market. There are three separate buildings. Each of them features different set of merchandise goods. There are children's play area inside and outside the building. Pets are welcomed.

This was on all of the Google searches for being a must see in Boston. There were so many food vendors and the building was historic and beautiful. There were areas to eat although it was pretty crowded. It was fun to look at all the different types of food available.

I went when it was a quiet Friday evening and there wasn't much going on. The stores were warm and offered souvenirs and trinkets. The history on the wall though was fascinating. Restrooms were clean and located down the steps. There are outdoor seating benches and tables and is located next to the Samuel Adam's Tap Room. Just a couple hundred feet away is the Boston sign. So, all in all, well worth the trip! Saturday the place was swarming with people, music blasting and some break dancing was going on as others walked around and shopped.

This is the second time I've been here and tried different paths, both times such a great place to enjoy nature. We actually spent almost 2 hours walking trails and could have spent so much time exploring more. If you are looking for an enjoyable time exploring nature, this is a must visit.

Great park! Its very well kept and the views are very serene and pretty. My husband and I did some fishing, spent a whole morning walking and fishing. Everyone was super friendly as we walked along which was nice. Trees were gorgeous, trails were well marked. Dog and kid friendly! There are some baseball fields but from what I understand you have to get a special permit to play on them. Either way, I grew up around baseball so I appreciate seeing the baseball field. Plenty of parking and bathroom is convinient

Beautiful trails for the area. There are many trailheads to access the trails within the park. A full loop is about 5 miles, but there are many options to customize the route to your needs. Most of the trails are level terrain, wide and easy to follow. There is one section (Purple trail I believe) that is paved. Highly recommend for all ages and ability levels.

The Salem Witch Trials Memorial in Salem, Massachusetts, is a solemn site commemorating the 20 victims of the infamous witch trials in 1692. The memorial consists of stacked and inscribed granite stones adjacent to a burial ground. It serves as a reminder of the mass hysteria that led to the execution of innocent citizens accused of witchcraft. The names and dates of each victim are etched on stone memorials located near where many examinations took place.
My family was taking a vacation visiting all the new England states. Of course we had to have Salem on the list of places to check out. We have always wanted to visit this town because of the history of it. The witch trials memorial was cool but also very surreal. Reading about this, and actually seeing the memorials of people who were killed and also having it listed on how they died was an eye-opener. There were a lot of people visiting the memorial and people are leaving little keepsake’s on the benches where the memorials were. The memorials are right next to a cemetery that has to be probably the oldest one I’ve ever seen. Definitely need to check this place out if you’re in town. This is one of the few places you do not need to book reservations for first.

When I was going there I knew it was going to be more of an attraction than coming to see a part of American history. This place is very special and I hope it is honored. As I did wander through the streets My eyes weren't focused on the books as much as the architecture around there I must say it was beautiful. Well I'm really grateful for is that you do see the respect from a lot of people not touching the offerings. I was so excited to go there and I'll be frankly honest with you it lived up to it the whole town everything. What I think would be peaceful is a 5:00 a.m. cup of coffee walk no people no stores just the history the architecture the pride in a build in a fear of injustice.
Anne H — Google review
Its very humbling to have people not forgotten. The memorial is definatly being honored and the names kept alive of those that were mistakenly accused and lost their lives. The fact thousands of people visit and take their time to view each name and some even dropping flowers in their memory really does feel as if they wont ever be forgotten. The graveyard also very full with visitors look & talking about those who are no longer with us and there is just a buzz in the air for those that could have been forgotten being remembered.
James R — Google review
Wonderful place to come. It’s a free tour but you’ve got to get your pass online. So much history in one area.
April P — Google review
A beautiful and powerful place of reflection. The Witch Trial Memorial is simple yet incredibly moving — a quiet space that honors the innocent lives lost during the 1692 witch trials. The stone benches engraved with each victim’s name create such a heavy emotional impact, especially when you realize how close it is to the Old Burying Point Cemetery. It’s not flashy or touristy, and that’s what makes it so meaningful. The atmosphere is peaceful and somber, and it really encourages you to pause and reflect on what happened here centuries ago. If you’re visiting Salem, make sure to stop by. It’s a short visit, but one that stays with you long after you leave. A beautiful and respectful tribute — five stars.
Tiffany J — Google review
Probably one of my favorite experiences of this whole trip. It was really sobering to be in the spot of remembrance for these people who were killed because of hysteria and groupthink and intolerance. Brought pennies all the way from Seattle to leave one of each of their markers It was amazing to see others then felt the same way that I did. It was beautiful and moving
Michael S — Google review
Interesting stop along your journey through Salem These are just a few of the the benches dedicated to the people persecuted for being a witch Most were hung and one crushed to death from "spectral evidence" Let me help in case you've never heard of such a thing like I hadn't Google says, Spectral evidence is testimony based on dreams, visions, or apparitions, where a witness claims the spirit or "specter" of an accused person appeared to them and caused harm, even when the accused was physically elsewhere. It was notably accepted during the Salem Witch Trials in the late 17th century, reflecting the Puritan belief that malevolent spirits could project themselves to torment others, but it was later condemned as unreliable and dangerous. What it entails: Apparitions: Accusers reported seeing the specter of a witch, sometimes in human or animal form, that would pinch, bite, or choke them. Dreams and Visions: The evidence often came from victims experiencing visions or dreams where the spirit of the accused person tormented them. Spiritual Projection: The underlying belief was that witches, through a pact with the Devil, could project their spirit to harm others from a distance, while their physical body remained in a different location

The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) is a top-notch museum showcasing regional American and Asian art, as well as historical artifacts. It originated from the East India Marine Society, established by Salem sea captains in the 18th century. The museum boasts an extensive collection of nearly 2 million works of art and cultural pieces, including a life-size wood sculpture of the Hawaiian god Ku and the captain's desk from the Mary Celeste.
What an awesome experience! We saw the Chinese house unexpectedly which was SUPER cool. We obviously loved the Salem Witch Trial exhibit, which was our original reason to go but we also thoroughly enjoyed the maritime exhibit too.

(Visited on 09/13/2025) A visit to the museum was the first thing I had in mind when we planned our trip to Salem. They showcased actual artifacts from the trials and gave detailed stories and backgrounds to the people affected. I also appreciated the timeline of events post Salem Witch Trials.. Also to note, the Yin Yu Tang house was such a marvel! It transports you to another place and time and gives you an insight of generational living of another culture. Kudos to the museum staff! I recommend to order your tickets online prior to visiting, going as soon as it opens, and possibly dedicating most of your day here. We parked at the Witch City Mall parking garage (~$11/day) and parked on the top floor. More spots available and you get a unique view of Salem.

SO MUCH to see! It says minimum of 2 hours but allow yourself most of the day. We didn't see it all and we were there for over 4 hours. LOTS of history and tons of interactive stuff for little ones, too! You can buy your tickets in advance for any day and they are good for anytime you want to go that day. Start early to see it all.
Marie D — Google review
Easily spend a full day here. Surprising East Asian and asian art collection as well as other exhibits I didn't expect, like contemporary south Asian art. I ignorantly came expecting that the museum would be mainly about the Salem Witch Trials, which are covered with humanizing care, introspection and reflection on justice. But I came away learning a lot more about Salem, it's fascinating history and connection to the global world trade and the cultures shared through artifacts and art represented in the exhibits. There are other children friendly exhibits about the boreal Forrest and overall the exhibits are not text heavy and often contain interactive and or video media throughout.

We came to Salem for Halloween, but the crowds drove us into the museum. If it weren't for the parking situation we could've spent a few more hours here. OMG! What a class museum! The indeginous section was amazing as well as the South Asian Contemporary collection! (You don't see that much in the States) Definitely on the list of places to revisit!

The Peabody Essex is one of my favorite spots in Salem for lunch - the peppers are absolutely scrumptious… Is what I would say if the PEM was a restaurant and not a world-class museum!! I’ve visited 2-3 times and each time I learn or discover something new, even from the permanent collections. All the art and historical artifacts are displayed and described with respect and expertise. The Yin Yu Tang House is especially interesting and impressive to learn how they shipped it to MA in parts and assembled it here (and also where you can find the dried peppers :D). I also really enjoy the interactive natural history sections of the museum; on my last visit, they had a room with different caterpillars!! The PEM is a must-visit for any trip to Salem.

This is a must see museum if you are visiting Massachusetts. The art and artifacts are well presented and quite varied. The museum is immaculate, and well run. There is a public parking garage nearby, with economical rates.

This was an absolutely beautiful museum. We could feel ourselves traveling through time with different artwork from different periods. There also felt like there was quite a bit of representation between old and new as well as art from around the world. I definitely loved the art books that you could contribute to as well. It felt like we were a part of the art and really able to experience and learn up close. The museum was very clean and spacious as well. The greeter were very polite and warm and welcoming. They were also very knowledgeable. The little gift shops were also quite pleasant and adorable.

The Salem Witch Museum, established in 1972, is a must-visit for first-time travelers to Salem. It offers two main presentations: one delves into the 1692 Salem witch trials using life-size mannequins and prerecorded narration, while the other focuses on 'Witches: Evolving Perceptions,' exploring the history of witch-hunting and the evolution of the term 'witch.'
Well-managed museum with friendly staff. Our guide, Mariana, was knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently. Tickets go online a day before at 10 PM and tend to sell out quickly, so it’s best to book early. We visited in October, so not sure how busy it gets in other months. The whole tour takes about an hour. Overall, it was a good and informative experience.
Archana N — Google review
Honestly disappointed. My family is glad we went for the experience. But truthfully we were really let down. The recorded narration on the presentation contains inaccurate info that a simple Google search would prove to be wrong. Sorry, but getting an entire person’s (Tituba) race, culture, beliefs, and personal history WRONG just to sell the narrative is inexcusable. Very disappointed in that. And the items that were on display in the “museum” were also a let down and had very little/nothing to do with the actual witch trials at all. We saw a much better exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum, that included copies of documents and letters as well as items owned by the victims. Overall, I would never go and pay the $54 to do this again, and honestly disappointed we spent THAT much for our visit, I fully advise anyone visiting in the future to keep all these things in mind. Because after our visit, we fully understand why they don’t allow filming inside. They definitely don’t want anyone to see how underwhelming it is before going and lose their business. 🥴
Genevieve P — Google review
The first part of the museum was a bit campy and felt somewhat dated. It wasn't terrible and I learned a good bit from it. The second section of the museum was nice and informative. Make sure to get there before your call time because even during the weekday it was very busy. During the month of October they open the tickets 12 hrs before so you have to be strategic to get the slot you want.
Carlos R — Google review
We visited Salem two days before Halloween, so the whole town was super fun and festive, even though the weather wasn’t great. We came across the Salem Witch Museum 1692 and decided to give it a try. It was very busy, with lines to get in, but everything was organized well. You scan a QR code on a sign to buy your tickets, and then line up about 30 minutes before your time slot. Once inside, you enter an auditorium with benches along the wall and small tufted circle seats in the middle. The show begins with the story of the Salem witch trials, told through mannequins positioned around the room, paired with lighting effects and narration. It was dramatized in an interesting way — not quite what I expected, but well done. Afterward, you move into a second exhibit area where a staff member shares more background about witches, the trials, and related cultural and historical facts. The entire experience lasted about 45 minutes. Overall, I think the experience was priced fairly. I wouldn’t have paid much more, but it was worth it to get a better understanding of the history — especially while visiting Salem during Halloween season.
Art R — Google review
I loved the experience but wish it wasn't so structured toward the end. The narrated story was very educational and unique compared to other self guided museums but once you get past that, you get ushered into a smaller room, given a ton of information really fast, and then are expected to head out without being given enough room or space to really observe or read all the displays. I would still recommend going at least once because it's one of those things you just have to do at least once. But I won't go out of my way to go back unless I have a very good reason.
Angelina J — Google review
The Salem Witch Museum is definitely one of the most talked-about attractions in Salem, but it’s important to know what to expect before you go. This is not a walk-through museum filled with exhibits — instead, it’s a guided, staged presentation led by museum employees. The experience begins with a dramatized performance recounting the events of the 1692 Salem witch trials, using lighting, narration, and life-sized figures to tell the story. It’s informative and gives a good overview of the history, but the entire presentation takes less than an hour, so it’s a relatively short visit. Afterward, there’s a small second section with some additional information and, of course, a gift shop at the end. I’d recommend buying tickets in advance, as the museum can get crowded and time slots often fill up quickly — especially during October or weekends. Overall, the Salem Witch Museum offers an interesting, theatrical look at a dark chapter in history, but it’s more of a performance than a traditional museum. While I appreciated the storytelling aspect, I found it to be a bit overhyped given how brief the experience is. Still, it’s worth a stop if you’re already exploring Salem and want a quick introduction to the witch trials.
Kaitlin K — Google review
It was fine. I heard some not so great reviews so I just went for the ghosts that allegedly show up in the photos. The ghosts did not show up in mine. It's essentially a retelling of the events of Salem with some staged exhibits or diorama as they are sometimes called, for dramatic affect. Its worth seeing if you have the time and money. But if you're short on one the other or both, you aren't missing anything. Their gift store is however terrific, that I give 5 stars. And Fattys cookies next door are a MUST.

We had a great time at this museum. And of all the museums to choose from I'm happy with my choice of prioritizing this one. Tickets go on sale the night before (10pm) for the very next day. I did check at that time and there were lots of tickets for each slot left so I didn't buy it then. I bought the tickets online the day of (we were able to plan the day more accurately this way). Although it was busy they seemed to still be selling seats at the door. (This time of year wasn't busy in Salem in general). The presentation was fantastic. We got seats in the middle of the room but some were seated against the wall. Their experience would be drastically different as the story is told with the exhibits on the wall going around the room. You get lots of themes that would explain the witch trials that took place in Salem. It's a great starting point into the story of Salem. There's lots of books if you want to further dive into any of the themes. The experience takes at least an hour.

The House of the Seven Gables

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
"The House of the Seven Gables" is a restored 1668 home in Salem, Massachusetts that inspired Nathaniel Hawthorne's novel. The house offers tours and features verdant seaside gardens. While Salem has its share of somber architecture, there is more to the city than brooding structures like this historic house. A walk down Chestnut Street reveals lighter yet historically significant homes from the Colonial era.
We visited the House of The Seven Gables for the first time this week and were absolutely blown away!! Our tour guide, Stephen, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. His delivery of information about the history of the grounds and house was engaging and entertaining!! We absolutely loved the experience. Climbing up the hidden staircase was thrilling, as was just taking in the scenic views from the second floor rooms. The tour was lovely, the front desk, gift shop, and other staff members were accommodating and friendly. We would love to return, perhaps in the autumn or winter, but I can imagine that it is perfect at any time of year.

Never read the book, but looked interesting, my wife had and wanted to go. The tie guide was very knowledgeable in the story, the home, architecture, hawthorne and his lineage and she made the tour very enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful and also very interesting. One great thing i never knew was the effort to help people gain legal citizenship through classes which also help teach English. Really great to know money from my tour goes to this. A wonderful cause.

The House of the Seven Gables is one of Salem’s crown jewels - part museum, part literary landmark, part seaside retreat. It’s always busy, especially during peak Halloween season, so it’s best to reserve tickets in advance if you want to tour the interior. Even if tours are sold out, don’t skip it: the reduced-fare grounds ticket (around $15) is still a great value. It grants access to the scenic property, the gift shop, the restrooms, the Hawthorne birth home, and some of the outlying buildings, plus the stunning waterfront area. Between the historic architecture, the sea breeze, and the view of the harbor, it’s a peaceful escape from downtown’s chaos. The guided tour of the main Gables house is a highlight as it’s informative without being dry, blending stories of the real Turner family with Hawthorne’s inspiration for his classic novel. Walking through the low-ceilinged rooms, antique furnishings, and especially climbing the narrow hidden staircase tucked inside the walls is a thrill for any history or literature lover. The guides do an excellent job of capturing both the historical and literary importance of the site while keeping things engaging for visitors of all ages. The self-guided Hawthorne birth home, meanwhile, is smaller but equally fascinating, displaying authentic period furniture and personal items tied to Hawthorne’s family. The grounds themselves are worth lingering in. Between the gardens, cobblestone paths, and panoramic views of the waterfront, there’s no shortage of photo opportunities or places to simply sit and take in the atmosphere. On warm days, the wind coming off the water makes it a perfect spot to cool down and relax before heading back toward the bustle of Essex Street. The gift shop deserves its own mention too, stocked with locally inspired books, literary souvenirs, and even games that tie into Salem’s history. Whether you’re there for Hawthorne, colonial history, or just the coastal New England charm, the House of the Seven Gables absolutely lives up to its legend.

We went in September and the gardens were in bloom and it was not crowded. Our guide made our experience very enjoyable. The gift shop has item such as tee shirts saying I survived the secret staircase. For seniors admission five dollars less. I am not sure but the proceeds go towards the economy of the town of Salem. There is a lot of walking to be done but there are benches in places. There are great views of the water to.

This was a treat for me being that I read the book. Its a very neat tour and a very cool house and the grounds are SPECTACULAR. It has very little to do with the Salem Witches though. If you like old buildings and historical feeling things, this may be worth it for you. If you skip the house tour your won't be missing anything truly relevant to the trials or Halloween. I do recommend the grounds tour though. Especially if you love a majestic view. The pictures I took do not do it justice. Also, no ghosts were felt or spotted during the tour.

Purchase tickets in advance!! There are a lot of stairs with some being very narrow. Low ceilings as well just FYI. Definitely worth it though. Amazing experience! It was wonderful tour full of information an surprises! Parking is included with your tour ticket. You can park about 20 mins prior to your tour time and stay for 1 hour after your tour ends.
Marcos P — Google review
It was a great experience and our tour guild was informative and funny. My only issue is they gave you a map of the grounds but not the inside of the house so i felt a little lost in the house. But overall a good visit.

Cool tour. If you are into early American history, or literature you'll love this tour. This is a house built in the early 1600's and has survived and been restored over the years. A relative of the author, Nathaniel Hawthorne, was a famous American author and visiting this house and listening to his aunt tell him stories of growing up in this house inspired him to write the House of the Seven Gables novel. Has rooms restored to the time period, and original antique furniture and home pieces. The coolest part is a secret stairway that goes behind the fireplace up to the attic. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

The Currier Museum of Art boasts an extensive collection of both European and American art, ranging from the works of Monet to O'Keeffe. The museum also features a wide selection of decorative pieces in its expansive space. Visitors can expect to see a variety of modern and contemporary art alongside American crafts, including several paintings from the Hudson Valley school. Notable highlights include pieces by Picasso and Van Gogh, making it a highly recommended destination for art enthusiasts.
I cannot tell you the last time I was this entranced by an art museum. It is the perfect size to absorb in a visit, not overwhelming or complicated. Well-curated with regularly rotating special exhibits. They also host special events every 1st Thursday of the month from 5-8pm where admission is free and they have a speaker come talk. There is also a very tasty cafe in the middle of the museum. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Blair B — Google review
I've been to museums all over the world from the Getty to the Met to the Louvre, and from free parking to congenial ticketing to the cafe and galleries, the Currier is in my top favorites. It's such a cool space and history of how the museum came to be. Mix of modern and classic. The cafe has maybe 75' high ceilings, very airy, fantastic coffee and food menu. Thanks to the Curriers for making it possible! The tour of two Frank Lloyd Wright houses was well organized, informative enough to have felt like a true lecture, and very convivial with the guides and guests. Totally worth a drive specifically to the Currier for the museum and home tours (which you can check the ticket availability online. Museum entrance is currently included in the house tour ticket price.)

I try and immerse myself in as many art museums as I can. While I am not a fan of modern art, I found that this collection was a great blend of combining different aspects of art, and they have a great amount of space, and their staff was pretty great too. I can’t wait to go back. And the lavender lemonade at the cafe was pretty great. ❤️

The Currier is a charming and interesting gallery of some lovely pieces. We went for the tour of the two Frank Lloyd Wright houses that the museum owns which was well worth the costs. Make sure you get your tickets in advance!

We came over for the kick-off event for Manchester art week and had an awesome time. This museum is amazing! We will definitely be back for the furniture exhibit next month!

Staff and volunteers are fantastic! The museum has a few pieces from Masters, which are worth visiting. I'd never gotten the appeal of Picasso from pictures of his work. The real thing is totally different. But this collection has a fantastic depth for a small museum. Lots of paintings, and there's sculpture, glasswork, a handful of stunning cabinets and a gallery of modern pieces that are fascinating. Easy parking, reasonable entry fees and benches all over make this a comfortable visit, too. Staff and volunteers were lovely balancing letting folk absorb and giving information. Love the gallery of staff favorites!

An excellent mid-sized museum. Large collections ranging from ancient to modern. Wonderful gallery space and the cafe’s food was great. I am beyond impressed by their not 1 but 2 excellent Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian homes available for tours. Both are in remarkably good condition. We went way way out of our way to see this museum and it was so very worth it.

A lovely museum with a nice collection. We especially loved our tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses. Our son is interested in architecture and I loved that he got to learn about all the details. Most tickets were sold out the week we went. So glad I got tickets in advance.

This complex used to have a great convenience store, a pharmacy, a bank, video store and a much better ice cream place that made ice cream cakes in addition to scoops. The pizza place has always been lame Greek style pizza with bad veggie subs. Now this building is filled with mostly quiet offices with little activity. I hear the owner charges high rent prices which is probably why there is such a lack of decent business here. It's a real shame. Lots of potential.

Not too many businesses located here. A Sub Shop, Tanning Salon, Therapists Offices an Investment Firm and possibly an Ice Cream Shop that I've yet to see open in the past year ?? I don't recall seeing anything else other than a BUNCH of space for leasing. Plenty of parking, due to the lack of businesses..

The Gloucester Fishermen's Wives Memorial is a touching tribute to the resilient women who supported the fishing community for centuries. Erected by the Gloucester Fishermen's Wives Association, this monument depicts a woman with a boy and an infant, looking out to the harbor entrance. Situated at the north end of Stage Fort Park, it stands as a counterpoint to the more famous Man At the Wheel memorial.
Beautiful Park. Walking and views.

Landmarks we Know. Back to Gloucester exploring the coast and the Essex Coastal Scenic Byway. We visited this memorial in 1979. It is great to be back to remember our fellow sailors. The inscription is from the Bible, specifically Psalm 107:23, 24, which reads: "They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep". #abuelosmochileros_landmarks #abuelosmochileros_gloucester #abuelosmochileros_massachusetts

It is wonderful path in the middle of the city. The flowers are just so beautiful and it makes the walk around there worthwhile. You can see also go in the water as there is a mini beach version of it. You can walk to the rocks and enjoy the view of the water. Ample parking available on the street. The most amusing things is that you can see the bridge open for boats to cross which causes traffic but it's nice to watch. Well maintained and definitely worth stopping here for the walk!

Bearskin Neck is a charming coastal street in Rockport, known for its quaint shops and restaurants. Visitors are advised to park in a central location and explore the area on foot, with public metered parking available along the main street. The town offers a non-commercial atmosphere and affordable dining options, including ice cream, lobsters, and oysters. The peninsula features small shops selling local artwork, jewelry, ice cream, and fresh seafood.
Visited & stayed the night here last weekend & this was hands down one of the coolest, charming, & most beautiful places I’ve been to. Even our 9 & 11 year olds loved it here. I highly recommend & suggest you stay at the Bearskin Neck Lodge if you can. The views from every room are unbelievable!

Hampton Beach State Park, located at the mouth of the Hampton River in New Hampshire, offers a classic New England seaside experience. The 50-acre park features white-sand beaches with tidal pools for kids and a vibrant boardwalk lined with restaurants, shops, and amusements. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, sunbathing on the well-maintained shoreline, or taking leisurely strolls along the water's edge.
Very clean beach! Multiple restrooms spaced out on boulevard. Places to sit under shelter and enjoy the view. Bands play on different nights on outside stage. Many restaurants for all types of food and many beach shops. Arcade of course. Everyone was well behaved the three different days i went. Boulevard traffic jams all afternoon. Might need to park further away. No matter where you park it will cost you $20-30.
Diane — Google review
If you’re going to Hampton Beach for the first time, be sure to research parking ahead of time. It gets pretty crowded, at least in the summer. The beaches are clean. On certain days they have free concerts right off the beach along the walkway at the main building. Restaurants and shops line the road and there are plenty of options. Riptides are prevalent so swim with caution.
Eric H — Google review
This is a well maintained beach with clean restrooms. There is a camping area near the road for campers if you have a fully contained RV or trailer, no tents allowed. The beach area and entry to water is fairly flat making it easy to walk and enter shallow water. There is a rocky jetty for fishing. The hardest part is walking through loose sand to get to beach; I wish they had a mat or boardwalk to make it easier for hauling wagons, coolers, chairs and such. Overall great experience.
S S — Google review
Love visiting here. Parking can be tough. Much busier on the weekends. Many evenings in the summer they have events going on regularly, fireworks, live music, sandcastle building, etc. Fairly family friendly, but some parts of town can have people i wouldn't want around my children, but you can just avoid them pretty easily. Sand and water are great.

Traveled up to Hampton Beach, NH for our 4th year attending the Seafood Festival. This 3 day event is an absolute must. Such a great venue, food, entertainment and can access it all conveniently on foot. I recommend securing a local motel on the strip so one can walk and take a desired break in between. Local and visiting Vendors provide so many options as well as the music entertainment over the 3 day event. Location and beach is beautiful with life guards present. Local bars also provide great food, entertainment & atmosphere after hours. Looking forward to returning next year! 5*****

One of the best beach parks we’ve ever visited! Hampton Beach State Park exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, everything was well-maintained, organized, and welcoming. We had reserved parking online (which I highly recommend during peak season), and the process was smooth — staff checked our name and plate, and we were parked in no time. The parking lot is close to the beach, so we didn’t have to walk far with our gear. The beach itself is beautiful — wide, clean, and covered with soft sand. It’s perfect for walking, playing, or just relaxing by the waves. The water was chilly but refreshing, and the lifeguards on duty gave us peace of mind while the kids played near the shoreline. We found plenty of space even on a busy Saturday, and the whole atmosphere felt safe and family-friendly. Facilities were excellent. Clean restrooms, changing areas, and a small playground added extra convenience for families. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was also nice to see how well the park enforces rules like no littering and no idling, which helps keep the air fresh and the area pleasant for everyone. We stayed well into the evening and watched the sunset — absolutely breathtaking. Afterward, we walked along the lively boardwalk just outside the state park, which was full of shops, arcades, restaurants, and live music. It’s the perfect way to end a beach day. Although we didn’t use the campground this time, we saw plenty of RVs set up near the water, and it looked like a great option for those staying overnight. In short, Hampton Beach State Park is clean, beautiful, well-managed, and offers a great balance of nature and fun. Whether you’re visiting for a few hours or planning a full beach day, it’s well worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back — maybe next time with the RV!

Water Country Water Park is the ultimate destination for summer fun in New England. Spanning 26 acres, this expansive park offers a wide range of attractions suitable for visitors of all ages. From thrilling water slides to a relaxing lazy river and toddler-friendly pools, there's something for everyone. Located near downtown Portsmouth, it's a must-visit during the summer months. The park also features themed pools, an adventure river, dining options, and plenty of slides to keep the whole family entertained.
We had a blast spending the day here — definitely one of the best water parks in New England! The place was busy but well-managed, and the staff kept everything moving smoothly. We visited on a weekend, waited less than 10 minutes to get in, and found plenty to do all day long. The park is clean, the water slides are exciting, and there are areas for both thrill seekers and families. Also loved the shaded areas where we could take breaks and chill. Plenty of food options and spots to relax between rides too. Tip: arrive early to grab a good spot and bring your own towels, snacks, and flip-flops. Already planning our next trip back! 📍Portsmouth-themed decor added a nice local touch. 📸 (Check out the photos for a peek at our day!)

Had a great time, staff was very friendly. Went on a Monday so the lines was nice and short! Weekdays are a bit cheaper and booking tickets online also makes it a bit cheaper and on the parking too. Definitely recommend 100%!
Emiliana V — Google review
I visited this water park twice, and each experience was quite different. The first time was on a sunny day, and while the weather was perfect, the long lines—especially for one of the main slides—made it hard to enjoy everything. We ended up missing out on several attractions because of the wait times. The second visit was on a cloudy day, and it turned out to be ideal. With fewer people around, we were able to try every slide without long waits, and the experience was much more enjoyable. One highlight was the long ring-shaped pool—it’s relaxing and beautifully designed, perfect for floating and unwinding. Overall, I’d recommend going on a less crowded day to make the most of everything the park has to offer.
Dr. P — Google review
It was raining till 3 but the water was warm. We toughed it out. No lines and a lot of camps were there. Three slides not open. But I had a good time with my daughter and wife.
Gus B — Google review
First and foremost, the prices for this place are out of hand for this small of a place. I understand it’s a water park, but for the admission, parking, lockers, easily adds up. Half of the food/drink places weren’t even open on a busy July Saturday. So the one place that was, was busy beyond comprehension. There is a decent amount of slides, and the lines for them are quite long all day. Some of the lines moved quick, and others did not. The park is showing its age and the water was fairly dirty all over the park. For “New England’s largest wave pool” there was literally no waves. I could jump in a pool and it would create a wave larger than the ones in the so called wave pool. The line for the Lazy River was insanely long because for some strange reason, everyone is required to be in a tube. Overall, it’s a decent day out for a summer fun day, but expect to pay $50/pp & another $30 to park. You can bring your own food and drink which is nice, but locker rentals are another $20+ for your bag.
Alexa K — Google review
The rides are fun and safe, except for the Dr. Von Dark. Avoid that one. You can rent lockers for personal items but parking isn’t far from the entrance and re-entry is allowed. You can bring your own food, unlike most amusement parks so I think that is awesome. So if you pack your cooler properly and leave it in the car until you eat, you can do that. A lot of people also leave their stuff at the picnic tables which is free. I don’t think it’s very kind though because it hogs people that are trying to sit down and eat and then go back to rides, but to each their own. The jumbo locker won’t hold a cooler and it’s $25. Parking is also $25-$30. There are food and drinks throughout if you don’t wish to bring your own food. Every so often the Water Country website has deals and sometimes you’ll find it on Groupon too. I took five children, and they all had a great time. I went on rides myself and I enjoyed it too. I highly recommend.
Artemis T — Google review
I hated how they upped the prices for July 4tj and it was not even worth it. I paid $287 for a regular cabana & on a normal day it’s $129. How crazy is that? Food is expensive and not even good to say the least. Poole are dirty and they don’t even say anything when people are wearing borderline lingerie in a family park. I paid $300 in tickets — why am I seeing someone in a see-through thong in a KIDS POOL? and the life guards & workers said nothing lol.

While access to the lighthouse itself is limited to boat tours, the panoramic views of the open Atlantic from the park are truly breathtaking. Additionally, visitors can engage in activities like scuba diving and fishing or browse through a quaint gift shop on-site.

Such a picturesque spot!! My boys loved climbing all over the rocky shore and looking at the lighthouse. It was low tide and we were able to find pools of mini ecosystems in the rocks! They loved learning the history of the lighthouse and that, at one time, there was a lighthouse keeper that lived their with boys their age . I just wish the visitor center was less of a store and more of a museum/information center.

This was our first time to see a light house. There was a decent amount of parking. They had a visitor center and gift shop that is open until 5pm. They also had a place to get ice cream and food. It had rocks for you to climb down and various places to sit. I wish though we could go inside the light house and house but it was a beautiful place to visit and the view was breathtaking.

It is the most photographed lighthouse. When I went we were in a big snow storm. It made for a unique picture opportunity. It is free. But parking is tight. It is well worth the effort to see. The drive there was beautiful with snow on the regional cape cod style homes.

Amazing place, as well as relaxing. Always great to park my van there overnight and enjoy both the lighthouse and view at night time as well as in day time. Great and welcoming community too. One of my favorite spots to visit on the east coast.

This is definitely worth the drive. The coastal area of Maine is such a natural wonder. As you drive along the coast you can see the lighthouse in the distance. There is plenty of parking to view the lighthouse. Unfortunately it is on an island so it is not something you can go inside. The is a nice gift shop with friendly staff.

This lighthouse was on my mus see list along with a couple of others in Maine, and I am so glad that I went. The weather was gorgeous, the view phenomenal and the people in the area were very friendly. Visited the little gift shop which was a little pricey but I wanted something to remember visiting the lighthouse. Sadly, you cannot climb the lighthouse and it's only accessible by boat. But they do a contest giveaway where you can go see the lighthouse with the light keeper if you win. The Fox restaurant on site is definitely pricier than other places in the area, but I didn't want to go to see the lighthouse and not try Foxes. It is one of the places mentioned a lot as a place to see and go to in Maine so I did. Please remember that most places in Maine serve their lobster rolls cold, but I couldn't go to Maine and not try a lobster roll, even though I'm not a fan of lobster. You can definitely taste the freshness, but I actually preferred my hot dog over the 🦞. The bun was buttery and grilled just the way I like it. Nice bun too. Not one of those cheap ones. A lot of the items on their menu are a la carte and the soda, a small was five bucks so be prepared to spend some cash. They also have a little ice cream shop on site as well.

Yorks Wild Kingdom is a family-friendly zoo and amusement park located in York Beach, Maine. It's the largest zoo in the state and offers a variety of activities for visitors. From exotic wild animals to local wildlife, there's plenty to see and do. The park features paddle boats, rides, miniature golf, arcade games, and even a haunted house. Visitors can also enjoy interactive exhibits such as feeding goats, ducks, deer, and parakeets.
Place was amazing I am 62 my husband is 65 we stopped on a whim while visiting Maine never have I ever walked into a butterfly exhibit they were just flying all over the place just beautiful. And the parakeet exhibit where you can buy little sticks with bird food and they land on your stick was amazing all the animals looked healthy and happy bonus were there at feeding time.i could go on and on .Loved it.

Enjoyed the little zoo they had and the interactive exhibits from feeding birds, goats, deers, ducks and the camel rides also the little carnival they had was a nice addition. The family had a great time the only complaint I really have is you have to watch while walking on there paved walk ways over the years tree roots have made it bumpy so there some real bad areas you could easy trip if your not careful.

First I'd like to say that some of the exhibits were awesome, such as the butterfly kingdom, parakeet exhibit, goats, and duck pond--those animals seemed to be so happy and thriving! Honestly I would go again just to see and interact with those exhibits. However, some of the other animals seemed to be in very small enclosures, were by themselves (from what I could see, but I understand that I was only there for a short period of time and do not know the ins and outs of caring for these animals), and seemed lethargic. The bathroom by the entrance was disgusting and desperately needed to be cleaned/sanitized. Stalls were out of toilet paper as well, so more attention to the bathroom conditions is definitely needed. Overall, it was not a bad experience and it had some really cool exhibits, but there are a few areas to improve in my opinion.

Visited here with my daughter while vacationing in Maine. Lots of fun animals to see. The otter in the added video was immensely entertaining and there were areas where kids could feed goats, deer, ducks and geese- bring your quarters for the food. We went on a weekday when it was barely 70 which is probably ideal as most of the animals were out and at least looking around as opposed to hiding from the heat. It does seem like they removed some animals from years ago when we last visited but there's still a good selection especially for the young ones.

Very cool and interactive zoo! The butterfly room and bird feeding rooms are so cool. Petting the goats is cool too. It doesn't look like much of a zoo upon entry, but don't let this book's cover judge the rest of it! It is a fantastic zoo and we have been to over 15 zoos this year in New England.

We had a blast. We saw kids , baby goats and 2 different types of monkey babies. A few large cats, zebra. The butterfly garden was really nice. Lots of exotic animals. Kids under 48" will get to ride the most rides . But there was still a few rides for the bigger kids. A very nice beach is a 7 minute walk from the rear entrance of the park through a commercial street with many food options and the typical tourist traps.

for such a small zoo, they have a lot of cool animals. They have tigers, lions, but no bears sadly lol. They have a lot of monkeys, and birds. My sons favorite where the birds and butterfly house. The cost is great 18$ for adults, but they do charge for 2 and under. overall will be visiting again, had a great time.

It's such a fun place. I will warn you that you will need quarters to feed some of the animals. It's very clean and they have a place to purchase snacks and drinks in the park as well as at the entrance. They have nice signs that tell you about the animals. It's spread out nicely, so there's no bunching. Feeding the parakeets was my kids' favorite part. Each feeding stick was $2.50, and it's best that each kid has one. I highly recommend going for kids between 2-15. You can bring strollers, but some of the paths are bumpy, so make sure it's sturdy.
