Tasmania Zoo is a private zoo housing over 100 rare, exotic, and native species, including primates and Tasmanian devils. Visitors can enjoy the Wild Nights tour to see giraffes, African dogs, nocturnal animals like big and small cats, wombats, devils, and foxes. The zoo offers personalized learning experiences about the creatures from knowledgeable staff members. Animal encounters are available at reasonable prices with friendly and caring staff who ensure the animals' well-being.
This is the perfect family owned zoo. The staff are lovely, it isn’t overpriced, there is so much to look at and there is endless animal experiences. My family and I went during the week and did 17 experiences total between the four of us. We had booked the experiences the night before and our experiences ended up going from 11am-3pm initially however, the lovely woman at the front desk offered us to change this so it was more convenient for us. We got to do ALL our experiences together as a family through the morning with another lovely young lady. We got to pat, feed and cuddle with our animals and spend quality time with them. There wasn’t one inch of this zoo where there wasn’t animals, you can clearly see them through their enclosures as well. There is a variety of animals to hand feed, you can get up close to sheep, llamas, emus, wallaby’s, a donkey and kangaroos. Highly recommended this as a must visit. 💯😁
Tahlia B — Google review
We had an awesome morning at the Tassie Zoo. We went all out and booked a Meerkat experience as well. The Zoo has a great variety of animals, they were very close and easy to see, easy to follow the map and our son loved the 2 young dingoes. You can hand feed the kangaroos & wallabies in one section and then the farm animals further along. The only animal not on show during our visit were the capybaras. We also enjoyed the gift shop and picked up a few Knick knacks for ur family and friends.
Belle C — Google review
We had a great time and did many of the wildlife experiences which were the highlight. A truly unique and memorable experience for us. The zoo has so many different animals and there is something for everyone. The staff and keepers were so friendly and really made it a special experience. It was so good to see how well the animals are looked after and how nice and spacious their enclosures were. We will be back next time we are in Tasmania!
Kieran S — Google review
What a magnificent gem to visit . Beautifully nestled in a quiet spot . The animals have decent and natural enclosures, decent size too . I was treated to have the close encounter with the red panda. Absolutely magical(still smiling ) .. The Zoo team, are wonderful, polite and legitimately caring for the animals. This place feels more like a sanctuary than a zoo.. Serene, green and beautiful. I love the greenery and a wonderful variety of trees and plants too. Mandy was absolutely gorgeous, caring, passionate and warm.. Cannot wait to go back..
Oli B — Google review
Tasmania Zoo is my favorite zoo in Tasmania!!! Definitely won’t miss the devils and wombats encounter here!! Especially the ticket price is lovely ☺️ The animals were kept very well here ( all look healthy and well ). The staffs were kind and friendly. There’s plenty of species of animals to see. A good place to enjoy an half/all day with friends and family here✨
Jing Y — Google review
We all really enjoyed Tasmania Zoo. The enclosures are great for the animals. A few were elusive (the Wolf, Lion and Snow Leopard) but there was still so much ro see we didnt mind. Also, we really enjoyed the Jurassic swamp!
Angie J — Google review
The zoo has a lot of animals, some native and a lot of exotic animals, especially monkeys. The enclosures are not fancy but they do the job and you can see most of the animals quite well. The zoo did not accept our student cards as there was no expiration date on it even though we were able to show our official enrollment letters with dates of enrollment, which was a bit disappointing.
Tim G — Google review
The Tasmania Zoo is absolutely beautiful and the perfect location to walk around on a beautiful winters day. All of the animals seemed so happy and well cared for, I really just wanted to cuddle the red panda, it was so cute and fluffy! Would definitely recommend the zoo to any and all age groups.

We visited Tamar Ridge as part of a wine tasting tour. During the wine tasting (yum!), we learned a bit about the region, the wines, and the winery itself. I enjoyed it. Great views too.
Gregory L — Google review
Located in Tamar Valley, this winery has beautiful view/lookout deck and relaxing chairs to basque in the sun and drink some wine with a view. We had a wine tasting and had a great time, staff were amazingly friendly and knew what to pair each wines with retrospective dishes. Did not have a platter but the couples next to us seemed to enjoy it! A quick trip from Launceston, this winery is well worth the visit.

The setting is elegant yet relaxed, creating a perfect atmosphere to enjoy their selection of cool-climate wines. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the region’s winemaking, making the tasting both enjoyable and informative. Their Pinot Noir stands out as a highlight, showcasing the best of Tasmanian wine. The venue also features a stylish tasting room and outdoor seating where you can take in the scenery. Overall, it’s an excellent destination for wine lovers visiting the Tamar Valley.
Hidesato O — Google review
Nice winery on a hill overlooking the Tamar river. They have a few different tasting options. We chose the bar tasting, which didn’t include any of their high priced wines. I really enjoyed their sparkling wines and ended up buying one after the tasting. The employee gave us a discount since we did a wine tasting, which was really nice!

Visitors can take a self-guided walk to the waterfall, feed the salmon, and explore the wetlands. We loved our lunch here. The food was delicious, the outdoor setting was relaxed, expansive and cute. Eating at the farm was special. We shared a salmon share platter which was ample for two and with a salmon salad did the 3 older members of our party. We then wandered the farm, feeding the fish was a highlight. (Extra cost) But worth it. And a walk around the lakes was very nice. We saw a wallably.

Best fish farm with beautiful 5 minute walk to amazing waterfall. Ziggy was a great host very knowledgeable about freshwater fish and beer. Loved the 41 degree platter and coffee. Thank you Ziggy For your years of hard work. Patrick and Dianne

Have come back a few times now, staff were super friendly and very helpful when it came to their Salmon and how to pair and taste it. We purchased the $5 tasting paddle which came with a couple of their Salts, Salmon and Sauce. Their Hot Smoked Salmon is to die for! I come back each year for a little trip to treat myself. You can also walk their farm and feed the Salmon at a couple designated spots- As well as view Montana Falls! Thankyou to everything at 41° South!
Emily B — Google review
Beautiful few hours spent here today. Delicious platter with fresh salmon, salmon pate, cheeses, crackers, bread, fruit, salad and more. Fed the salmon. Walked down to waterfall and around the grounds. Family run business and they were so welcoming and lovely. Ziggy made our day extra special. Thank you!
Liz A — Google review
Popped on a very wet and rainy day, were offered half price tour but decided to try taste platter only. Delicious salmon and seasonings.
Helen D — Google review
We got the 41 South Platter and it was plenty for 2 people. We’d never had salmon rillettes before but it was super tasty! Also really loved the one island sauce and I’m still thinking about the ginseng spice mix 🤤
Ivy — Google review
Omg yes, you need to come here and check this place out. Feels like Europe and the samples were amazing. Staff members were really friendly. Also check out the world map where people come from.. so glad I've stopped here
Zaks — Google review
I'm a solo traveller without a license, so I walked from the Deloraine Empire Hotel to the cafe 22 km (2 ways). I love the scenery throughout the walk. The cafe is awesome! After a long walk, I get to saviour cured salmon with 3 different dips and cheese platter with long black coffee. I was very content when I was enjoying the moment. The cafe reared the salmon, and they also have a ginseng farm. There is a garden and trail walk next to the cafe. The cafe is open every day and closes at 4 pm. After my meal, I walked a bit around the garden. I also had strawberry sorbet and bought a bottle of ginseng honey. That was the highlight of my stay in Deloraine.

Amazing! It's vast and very informative. Give yourself a good 1.5 to 2 hours to see it all. So much work and dedication has gone into putting this museum together.
Kylie ( — Google review
A great look at the Beaconsfield mine but also a step back into the past, great for kids or adults who are interested in the mines / the great rescue. There’s a playground across the road and a pub nearby too.
Weekend E — Google review
A must visit! Brilliant museum. The staff were lovely. There were so many things for the children to interact with plus they received a sticker and precious stones at the end of our visit. They were very excited. The museum is very informative and well curated. Couldn’t recommend it more.
Molly — Google review
An easy 5 Stars, one of the best museums I’ve been too and is well worth the $22 entry fee. Friendly staff who gave a run down of the map and what to see. So much hands on stuff, old engines and another Tangyes from Birmingham. Of course the main course was the Rescue room with good detail of how the 2 lads were saved and how many people risked their own lives to make it happen. A great display. Also learned about how the whole place nearly went down a collapsing shaft in 2016. Wow! So much to see and do, you’ve just got to do it!
Paul S — Google review
Very poignant and sensitively presented exhibits showcasing yesteryear and the Mine disaster chronicling the events that happened which affected the entire community at the time. Well worth visiting this place as part of Tasmanian historical interest
Barry P — Google review
Wow! What a lot of history! Great place to spend a few hours looking at all the sites. I love how this place is not all under one roof. Its interesting, interactive, and very well presented. Lovely staff too. Would definitely recommend, especially if you remember watching the news when the miners were trapped back in 2006
Joady R — Google review
Awesome doesn't describe just how great this place is. It's a beautiful mix of new, old, hope, and interactivity. The interactiveness is second to none. You can ring the bell for the shaft, take a photo from the same angle as the world famous photo of the boys coming put, and you can actually stand in the lift. It's just a really awesome place and a must do for anyone who remembers the disaster and ensuring rescue.
Mick G — Google review
Omg, this place just blew our minds away. Remembering back to the day when the collapse happened and then learning about it more and more was an experience that was well worth it. The staff were very informative and helped in every way they could. I'm not a museum type of person but found this to be one of the best experiences I have done.

Platypus House, located at Beauty Point on the Tamar River in Tasmania, is a unique attraction that showcases the world's only two monotremes - the platypus and the echidna. Visitors can observe these fascinating creatures up close in their natural habitat. The house offers guided tours where guests can learn about these animals' distinctive features and behaviors.
The staff were so accommodating and knowledgeable, my mother (84 yrs young hard of hearing) joined my wife and I and she found our tour guide to be very well spoken and clear and easy to understand. The Platypus's or is that Platypies were great and to see them up close eating swimming etc was great. But next was the icing on the cake, bring on the echidnas they were so cute and great to watch and find out so much about them. I'm so disappointed in myself for not remembering our tour guide's name she was absolutely fantastic, she mentioned she had been there for 6 years.
Raph C — Google review
Had a fantastic time at Platypus House in Beauty Point! The guided tour was both fun and educational, our guide Maddy had shared so much interesting information. It was incredible to see platypuses swimming and feeding up close, and the echidnas were such a highlight, wandering right around our feet. A unique and memorable experience, well worth the visit.
Betty Y — Google review
We joined the 2 PM tour today, and the lady who guided us for about 45 minutes was amazing! She had excellent knowledge of everything she was explaining, even though she looked quite young. Her enthusiasm and nonstop explanations throughout the session were truly impressive — she really deserves 5 stars for her effort and passion! It was also great to see how well the facility is maintained, making the whole experience very pleasant and comfortable for visitors.
Kim D — Google review
Great experience, very knowledgeable staff. we have been here several times and it’s always been a great experience. The first time we came here there was a member of the National Geographic team their photographing the platypus.

Falling in love with platypus and echidna deeply after visiting Platypus House OMGGGG!!!! It’s enjoyable to watch the naughty platypus show( eating, swimming and scratching ). We’re so lucky to see the shy female platypus in the case✨ I especially loved the echidna walking around us while they were trying to find the food. Super cute 🥰 It’s so good to have such a place to encounter them 🥰🥰

We learned so many amazing facts, and she was happy to answer every question we had (and always had the answers!). Ella you can see is very passionate about the animals, the place has such a friendly atmosphere. The echidnas were our absolute favourite they are so funny, full of personality, and always hungry! 🦔 We couldn’t stop smiling watching them. They really ate cute. Great tour, our guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Time was given to photograph the critters, with info videos sprinkled into the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Fee Z — Google review
Loved the seahorses but the tour was so rushed. You couldn't stand there and check out all the individual displays or age stages tanks because every single time you were trying to look at them you were told that we needed to move on to the next room now. It was only my son and I and another couple on the tour. So really - pushing us through so fast was entirely unnecessary. The seahorses themselves are actually extremely incredible and mesmerising. Beautiful creatures. Just a shame we were on the clock.

I would highly recommend their cheese platter and/or charcuterie, and the toasties are simply divine. Please consider adding it to your list when you visit Tasmania.

Really nice stop — the hot chocolate and chai were excellent, and the whole place is fun to explore. Great cheese display, friendly staff and a relaxed farm atmosphere. Loved the colourful cow sculptures outside too. A visit worth making if you’re passing through.
Reto J — Google review
We just happened to be travelling past and dropped by to taste some delicious cheese and have some ice cream made in site. All delicious. It’s a lovely clean and spacious venue. You get detailed information from their displays and you get to see the cheese in storage, it was interesting. Bought some cheese and crackers, reasonably priced.

Was a short stop for a coffee but was a worthwhile one a must visit stop if you are driving to cradle mountain. All about cheese and variety of them … cheese platter was good and toast with truffle was decadent!
B G — Google review
Always love a visit here! Nice selection of cheeses and other local goodies for sale. It has grown over the last 11 years nice to see the display of cheeses maturing. I love the cow statues out the front! Friendly staff.

A little pricey, but that's all to be expected at places like this. The coffees came out warm, which was extremely disappointing. The cheese platter and nachos with jug of cheese tasted good. Bought a few items from the gift shop.

Just filled our hotel fridge with delicious Ashgrove cheese! We always visit when in the area, and Ashgrove never dissapoint. Brilliant cheese with a wide variety of flavours. We loved the newer area with all the information about how the cheese is made, lots of interactive stuff for the kids to learn too.

Excellent tours. The staff are very friendly and highly knowledgeable. The staff did a great job of ensure we did not encroach on the penguins access and area.
James H — Google review
Whilst we have not been on the actual organised tour we have visited this location many times to show friends the lighthouse and ocean views. As you walk around the habitat, quite frequently there are penguins who are still in their burrows which have not gone to sea. But it is a beautiful view and the tours are at night and guided bookings are by contacting the organizers details which are on the gate to the entrance on the left just prior to the main lighthouse entry.
Ken D — Google review
Excellent tour, the guides are full of interesting details and the penguins are cute as. Be sure to layer up as it's often very cold. Tour lasts just under an hour, you'll need to be able to walk around the beach and the rocks. You can take photos but no flash. They'll make sure you see something good!
Barry R — Google review
Helpful, friendly staff went above and beyond to ensure myself and my friend with disabilities felt comfortable and able to access this experience. A guide stayed with us throughout the tour and support us to have quiet moments away from the crowds, to walk slowly and see the penguins in a way that was extremely appreciated. It was very cold and windy but very worth it to see so, so many sweet penguins make their way up the beach. The tour guide information was exceptional and we learnt so much. We also appreciated how respectful the guides were of the penguins, ensuring they were not disrupted by the people and given theyr space. A great tour for all the family and such a special experience. Highly recommended.
Lisa W — Google review
Wonderful experience. Deeply touched by staff passion, care and knowledge. I’ve joined the Phillip Island Penguin Tour before, but yours was far more personal, warm and closer to watch the penguins. Watching the penguins return home was magical, and thank you for the staff dedication made our tour truly meaningful and unforgettable.
Tevas L — Google review
This is not like any Penguin experience I've done previously. There are no barriers between you and the animals, only common sense and a good explanation of why you don't touch them, the threat it puts them under from predators. Small groups mean the tour guides (shout out to Indy and Daren) can impart information and give people the best experience. Don't be afraid to ask questions, engagement is everything. I was there during breeding season allowing for the joy of a baby penguin hunt... and the pain of the male penguins trying to attract a mate. Some tips. The worse weather, wind and rain wise the more the penguins like it. So rug up. You do have to walk on soft sand and single file between sharp bushes but it's worth it. The drive from Launceston is doable at about 50 minutes. It took us longer to get back because of wildlife. There is a wait to move from the time you arrive to the time you start moving. But there is a cute gift shop to look at, much appreciated.
BlueBelle's E — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience. The penguins are wonderful to watch as they walk close by, and learning about them was fascinating, too. Small separate groups, so it's easy to see them. Highly recommended.
CJ C — Google review
Excellent opportunity to see the Little Penguins up close. Make sure you rug up against the wind & cold. The penguins love the rough water and high tide, as this makes them feel safer against predators and will come ashore earlier (during the guided tour!) From the meeting point you are taken on a guided walk, about 150 m down to the water's edge, where you can see large groups on penguins surf in on the waves and walk up the beach. The staff are very knowledgable, giving information about the habits of hunting, preening, mating and raising young. Penguins can be seen preening on the rocks, then walking/running up the beach to their burrows. We were able to hear their mating calls and 'songs'. No flash photography or torches, staff will use special yellow torches to illuminate the penguins for tourists.

Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Mole Creek, Tasmania, is a renowned wildlife conservation center that offers daily tours to visitors. Since 1985, it has been a popular destination for observing native Tasmanian species such as the iconic Tasmanian Devils. The sanctuary provides an opportunity to get up close and personal with kangaroos and ducks while enjoying the natural environment.
Had already been to 2 other sanctuary in our 12 day trip to Tasmania, so wasn't sure if I wanted to do another wildlife park. Well how wrong was I, this was the best place, able to see all animals in beautifully set up homes. Had multiple devils in the same large enclosure so watching the interactions is priceless. The water birds and kangaroos top off a great place, friendly staff, a good variety of souvenirs. Best place.....
Fran W — Google review
Love being able to get up close with our Tasmanian animals. Also love that this sanctuary cares for animals that can't got back out into the wild, or help them rehabilitate. I feel the sanctuary needs a bit of money spent on some areas that are getting a little tired. Its a wonderful spot and I hope they can get a grant to help.
Amy G — Google review
Very fun day! I had a good experience here. Met many lovely animals. It was my first time to pat a little wombat and tassie devil so soft and cute. Recommend be there before 11 am for free interactive tours
Nutnaree P — Google review
I was very impressed with the staff and the overall experience. I also appreciate that they provide social services for the animals and am delighted by the care they provide. I especially admire how they ensure the animals' comfort is not compromised by visitors. The sessions led by experts, where one can learn about these species, are truly the highlight. Keep up the good work!
Shubham N — Google review
I had an incredible experience at Trowunna. I’m really appreciative of all the amazing work they do here. You can tell they really look after the animals and it makes me so happy that they are able to release healed wildlife back into the wild, and have breeding programs in place to boost numbers of these special species.
Eva S — Google review
My partner and I had a wonderful experience at the sanctuary. Seeing the range of rescue animals and how well they were taken care of was great. We took advantage of one of the free guided tours and got up close to a wombat and Tassie devil. It was also great to have a wander to each of the enclosures and hand feed the kangaroos and birds in between. It was a great trip and recommend people to check it out.
Emma B — Google review
Fantastic experience, very friendly and knowledgeable tour, where else do you get to pat a wombat AND a tassie devil. Well worth the trip, you can spend a couple of hours wandering around feeding the wildlife. Go for the beautiful song put out by the albino magpie!

What a brilliant place this is. A variety of wildlife for everyone to see, and the devil’s weren’t worried about coming out to say hi. There are lots of birds, kangaroos, wallabies and wombats. Brilliant work by staff and highly recommend you going in.

Marakoopa Cave, named after an Aboriginal word meaning handsome, offers underground tours showcasing stunning flowstone formations and abundant glow worms. The cave features two tour options: the Underground Rivers & Glowworms Tour and the Great Cathedral & Glowworms Tour. Visitors can marvel at straws, stalactites, crystals, and glowworms during these tours. It's recommended to arrive early for the scheduled tours as they tend to fill up quickly.
We did the cathedral walk. The guide.... she's simply amazing! Full of energies, humorous and bubbly. She simply loves her job and made everyone happy! This is a worthwhile walk to do, and if time permits, I'll do the other walks too. This cave system was very well preserve and I hope they continue the good preservation works.

We went to Marakoopa Cave today. We love caves so we have been many caves around the world. We think Marakoopa really tops it! I think apart from it was very interesting and we could even see glow worms in the cave, Renae made our tour so special! She was very informative, friendly, funny and she was showing us everything with passion! Thank you so much

Great tour of Marakoopa cave. Stunning formations, very reasonable price ($19 per adult) and a big shout out to our guide Shane who was extremely knowledgeable, informative and hilarious. He is a real asset to this company.

As an ex cave tour guide myself, I was blown away by both the extremely competent staff and the incredible cave. Shannon ran her tour better than any I've seen, with excellent knowledge and passion. Angela was fantastic and kept the tour group entertained with her bright enthusiasm. A fellow cave enthusiast I met on tour, and myself, agreed this was our #1 favourite cave ever. I spoke with other staff as well and they were all incredibly friendly and took the time to thoroughly explore my questions. The glow worms are magical, and the cave boasts more decorations than I could elaborate on in a review. Do NOT skip this cave. Can't recommend it enough. Thanks so much to Marakoopa cave and staff!

Stunning! Can't believe the cave is in this great condition! The rangers are keeping the cave in this mint condition! Give them a call and book in advance! Put on more clothes! Is pretty cold inside!

This was the second cave tour our group did under the same company on the same day. The first being King Solomon Caves. It was absolutely stunning, made more so with the underground rivers. Our guide passed on a lot of knowledge and was entertaining as well. And if you're wondering, yes, we saw many glow worms. Would love to explore the third cave one day!

The glowworms were absolutely magical, like stars twinkling in the night sky. It was so quiet and peaceful. The crystal formations were stunning, nature never ceases to amaze me!

I did the great cathedral and glow worms tour. The caves and glow worms were fascinating. The tour guide we had was really engaging. While I was warned of the stairs on this tour I think it’s very doable for most people. You only do a handful of stairs at a time before a break to look and learn. Definitely a must do while in the area.

Wow! Surreal being in the depths of the cave. Wonderful tour. We had a tour guide who sung in the cathedral part of the cave - i will never forget that experience. It was beautiful. Im not very fit, and thought this may be way out of my comfort zone, but it was definitely doable. Check out the tour times before you go, to avoid any long wait times

I’ve been on quite a few cave tours and I would highly rate this one! (I did the Cathedral and Glow Worm tour.) Saw lots of glow worms, cave formations were fantastic, and there is a river running through the cave which adds an extra dimension. Tour was a good 50mins and our guide Sharon was fantastic. Do the 15 minute nature walk between the ticket office and the caves if you can - very pretty!

Was recommended to call past on the way through and so glad we did. This shop (although it doesn't feel like it) is such a great experience, amazing how they are able to fit all that cool stuff into one building. Each area has so much to look and the back rooms carry the themes so well. Honestly a small entry fee would be well worth it. Credit to the team who setup/own/run the store.

What an amazing shop!!! We were mesmerised. They have all the unique gifts and so much more. You will need lots of time to come here. Perhaps even have coffee and a slice of cake while you shop. Simply stunning! The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the items are all arranged neatly and beautifully. I can't wait to go back. Love it!!

I remember going here as a kid years ago, and so while we were in the area, I wanted to take my children. It's different from what I remember as, unfortunately, there was the fire back in 2015, but it's still a fantastic shop to visit. There is such a wide variety of things to buy for gifts and some very unique ones. There are also activities in the outdoor areas which the kids loved to play. There has been a lot of thought put into Reliquaire, and you can see it throughout the whole shop.

Oh I love this store, so many different little spaces, displays and gifts for absolutely everyone. This store is like no other, I have not seen anything like it before. The staff are so friendly and willing to assist when required. I have been here several times already and I am never left disappointed. Thank you Reliquaire for creating such an amazing store to visit. See you again soon. 🤍

What an extraordinary fantasy and memorabilia experience, disguised as a shop! The themed spaces extend from Alice in Wonderland to Chainsaw massacre, with a glorious Father Christmas section - and a red chair for photos. The store has been here for many years and its display are constantly refreshed, I’m told. Come with $5 or $5,000 and be surprised! BTW the cafe next door, Shadows, has good Aussie food at pre-inflation prices!

What an amazing store, if you can’t find a gift here you will never find it!! A great mix of practical and fun items. I usually have to drag my husband to the shops but he loved it in here. Got there early on Saturday morning and it was a great way to start the day after getting off the ferry. Food was fantastic, hot chocolate was divine, and service by the young woman serving (It was an A name! I'm so sorry, I did ask and then forgot!) was excellent. Definitely my go-to stop next time I'm catching the ferry over from the mainland.

The Spirit of Tasmania, Devonport Terminal is the primary ferry operator connecting the Australian mainland to Devonport. The vessel was constructed in Finland and has been servicing the Melbourne-Devonport route since 2002. The journey across Bass Strait takes around nine to eleven hours, offering various amenities on board such as a buffet restaurant with complimentary soft drinks, friendly staff, comfortable cabins with adjustable temperatures and spacious bathrooms. Additionally, there are entertainment options including dining, drinking, and a play area for children.
What a wonderful experience. A little daunting with everything going on (first time traveller) but everyone was very helpful and instructions were very clear. Wonderful way to travel with a fully loaded car. Sunrise in Geelong was awesome so highly recommend waking up really early. Thank you SOT staff, was a pleasure to travel with you.
Neil D — Google review
Travelling on the Spirit of Tasmania is most definitely the best way I find to travel to & from Tassie for holidays & photoshoots. I can take my own car, taking as much luggage & gear as I need, and return back home to Geelong with lots of uniquely Tasmanian produce like honey, ciders, raspberry jams, gins & wines. The service from the staff, both onboard and on land is exceptional....friendly, efficient, attentive and helpful. All of my 14 crossings have been comfortable & relaxing with the on deck furniture, photos of Tassie on the walls, or the views from the windows. There is plenty of variety of good food from both the TMK and the bar on Deck 9; and entertainment in the cinemas, performers on Deck 9 or people promoting Tasmanian produce. I choose to travel overnight and book 'inside cabins' with their own toilet & showers, as there is less rock & roll if there are any swells & rough seas etc in the Strait. Also, that way, I am not wasting a day travelling and can get going first thing in the mornings to see, photograph & experience the beauty of Tassie. The embarking and disembarking processes are quick & efficient, especially considering the number of people & vehicles that are travelling most times. It is also a lovely view and experience to see both Geelong(my hometown) and Devonport from a different POV when standing on the decks photographing.

This was our 3rd time to Tasmania on the Spirit., enjoyed it all. We have taken motorhome before, then tent another time. This time travelled in our vehicle to hire a van in TAS. Staff doing the boarding were great in directing traffic on and off. Very clean and comfortable whichever way you choose and we have done all modes. Staff very helpful, food and drinks great. For us the Spirit is our favourite way to get to Tasmania. Hopefully I’ll get to sail on one of the new SOT although this trip possibly is our last( sadly) We love Tassie, the people, history and the amazing scenery everywhere.. highly recommend this journey to everyone❤️❤️❤️

I traveled to Tasmania recently for a 10 days holidays with my Amiga Anne, & we went on board the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry with Anne’s car. We booked on line, travelling by day with reckliner seats & booked a cabin on our trip back to Geelong port last Sunday night 12/10/25. Being both pensioners we got a huge discount on our tickets. We both enjoyed both trips there & back, & I will recommend to all my friends & family to have a go & travel to Tasmania with the ferry! Thank you! Zhennie Thomson

Love taking the Spirit of Tasmania to Tassie for trips. Very easy when you want to take your car (or not)! Great staff across the board, and the onboard amenities are great, including the cabins (can only speak on behalf of the twin or bunk rooms, however am sure all variations are great). Comfortable and well priced. We personally wouldn’t choose to travel to Tassie and back any other way.

Absolutely amazing place. To see the rescued animals in such well looked after homes. In their own little nooks. First visit today, but it won't be the last. Tim, one of the park workers, was so helpful and very polite. The staff there Just can't be faulted. Made myself and my client feel so welcomed and got some laughs out of her. The food is yummy 😋 and so fresh. Definitely worth a visit Maybe even stay the night in there accommodation... the park is just so amazing

Absolutely wonderful park. Feed kangaroos, so many experiences you can have. We did a capyboro experience. Kids loved it! Truly worth the trip in. Cafe on site. The animals are rescues and incredibly well cared for. A must do trip.

A Peaceful Haven at Wings Wildlife Park Wings Wildlife Park is a true gem nestled in the tranquil Gunns Plains countryside. From the moment you arrive, there’s a deep sense of peace in the air—surrounded by lush hills and the soft sounds of nature, it's the perfect escape from the busy world. What makes this place truly special is the heartfelt vision behind it. The idea to bring together native and exotic animals, farm life, and genuine hospitality in one place is simply brilliant. It’s more than just a wildlife park—it feels like a living, breathing sanctuary shaped with passion and care. The animals are clearly well loved, and the enclosures are thoughtfully designed. I especially enjoyed the Tasmanian devils. The caretakers were incredibly informative, sharing stories and facts with warmth and enthusiasm, which made the experience both educational and memorable. Wings Wildlife Park is not just a place to visit—it’s a place to slow down, connect with animals, and appreciate the quiet beauty of Tasmania’s rural heart.

The best zoo I have been to in Australia. marmoset and meerkat encounters are relatively cheap and you get to hand feed and spend up to 20mins in each enclosure. the monkeys like climbing on you and hanging out which was our highlight. The breadth of animals they have is great and would highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely day. Friendly staff. Loved the Tassie devil encounter. Wish the cafe had vegetarian and vegan offerings. If you love animals perhaps don’t eat so many of them?!?!

We loved this place, so much to see. The moment I arrived i got to see beautiful wombats and a few tassie devils (Yani and Sydney) close up. Amazing place, really well laid out so you could take your time to see everything and get close. We had a cold day and finished with a beautiful soup in the Cafe. 10/10 Staff were super lovely also

Very interesting place. The lady at reception was very enthusiastic and all other staff i saw were extremely happy and helpful. A great experience feeding fish and kangaroos. Was also great to walk through the farm area. The drive down was scenic and beautiful, I have rarely seen such amazing scenery. There are a few single lane roads, so be careful driving if its dusk. Many animals are rescues and it is such a wonderful thing to see them being taken care of.

Great place to visit for a whole family. Kids really love to see different kinds of animals from wild life to farm. A peaceful and calm atmosphere to feel when visiting this place. We will plan to camp if we have a chance.

Our tour was unbelievable, hands down one of the best caves I’ve been too in Australia. Our tour guide Trish was hilarious, knew how to make us all laugh, have a good time and give a tonne of information about the caves. One thing I love is that these guys know how to give you and incredible experience as well as have a fun time doing it, definitely will be coming back and referring anyone who visits to see you guys! Thanks again Trish !

Good value for the entry fee, tour went for approx an hour and the cave is very interesting and you see a fair bit! Worth the trip if you're in the area, great to combine with other activities to make a day of it. Parking was good and there was toilets at the entry. We had a large group made up of multiple smaller groups, but the guide did a good job of making sure everyone saw things and rotated front people etc. Glow worms are cool to see at the end.

We have been to many caves over the years but these are very special and unique. Not really a great place if you have any mobility restrictions as a few places like the entry entale a steep ladder decent. We loved it here and found the guided tour to be intriguing.

We were not sure what to expect as we've seen a number of caves when we lived on the west coast, but this one was pretty spectacular! Our tour guide Ben was very passionate and knowledgeable; we learned quite a bit. Thank you for the Mt Paris Dam recommendation, we loved it. Also, we've been meaning to review you guys for months so apologies for the delay.

Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden

Gardens
This 11-hectare garden offers rhododendrons & other plantings, plus water features & a tea room.
Loved this garden with all the different areas and associated plants. It would have looked amazing when all the plants were flowering but we were on holiday so limited as to when we could visit . It was fantastic to watch a platypus in the large pond below the cafe. There was also a little grebe with chicks that were constantly calling. Whilst I was filming the platypus I looked down to see a large snake sunning itself on the soil inches from my feet.
Paul C — Google review
What an amazing place! It’s bursting with color and textures everywhere you look. I was thrilled to spot two adorable platypuses in different lakes—such a fun surprise! The staff were incredibly friendly and shared some wonderful stories about the grounds that made the visit even more special.
Cheryl B — Google review
Was $15 entry which surprised me at first, but after walking through grounds you can tell that they’re well looked after. Also saw a few platypus’ and pademelons which was cool! I didn’t eat at the cafe but it smelt amazing when I walked past.
Isabella — Google review
Lovely little spot, $15 per adult without concession, very nice spot for a wander, spent around 2 hours here wandering about admiring the plants, bugs and little creatures. Quite enjoyed watching the bumblebees flying around gathering their pollen. But also was lucky spotting a Potoroo and what appeared to be an eastern barred bandicoot. Very nice would visit again.

Went for the Autumn Spectacular and it lived up to the name. Truly spectacular!! The colours were just incredible. Definitely recommend spending a couple of hours walking through the gardens, around the lake and just taking it all in.

Beautiful gardens and lovely cafe for a Devonshire tea afterwards! Highly recommend you partake in both the walk and the scones.

We were a couple of many visitors viewing this garden, which showcases a spectacular array of Rhododendrons, annuals and perennials in an entire range of colours. The displays in early November are a “must see” and everywhere is an eruption of blooms. A highlight of northern Tassie.

Started with lunch, excellent. We then strolled down to where the platypuses were. Then we went up and around and and should have taken a map. So many sights to see. Coming back again when they are in full bloom.

The workshop offers an engaging paper-making tour where experts use unique local fibers such as wombat poo, apple pulp, and rainforest leaves to create handmade paper using traditional methods. Visitors can explore the information center to gather details about various attractions in the area and enjoy a bite at the on-site cafe.
Information centre has plenty of information you can pickup on the different places you can visit while you're in Tassie. There is also a cafe you can have a bite to eat and the bit we enjoyed the most was all the hand made crafts you can see and buy. You may also have the chance to speak to the artist directly. A stunning waterfall to visit. We visited during heavy rainfall so the waterfall was definitely larger than normal. The riverside walk from the car park is currently closed due to recent storm, however you can still drive up to the top car park, from there the viewing platform is just a few metres away.

Stadium
Sights & Landmarks
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is an iconic sports venue with a rich history dating back to 1853. It has been the main stadium for the 1956 Summer Olympics and is known as the home of Australian football. With a capacity of 100,000 people, it's one of Melbourne's top tourist destinations. The MCG offers daily tours that provide visitors with insights into its storied past and significance in Australian sports history.
Visiting the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for the first time was truly a memorable experience. The sheer history of this iconic stadium is impressive, and the guided tour brings it to life in a unique way. Our guide, Jerry, was knowledgeable and engaging, making the 60–70 minute tour informative and enjoyable. The tour takes you deep inside the MCG, including exclusive areas like the players' seating boxes, and members' lounges. One of the highlights was the bird’s eye view from the top, which gives you a real sense of how massive the ground is. There are a few facilities on site including a small café and a gift shop for souvenirs. Parking can be tricky since it’s not available inside the stadium, but we were lucky to find street parking easily on a weekday. For cricket fans, timing your visit is key. The stadium often hosts football games, so the pitch is not always set up for cricket. The best time to experience it in its full cricketing glory is during the Boxing Day Test match around Christmas. Overall, it’s a must visit spot in Melbourne, rich with sporting history and atmosphere especially if you are a cricket fan.
Yasser J — Google review
Experiencing the history and grandeur of the renowned sporting arena was truly remarkable. The comprehensive tour provided an intimate look at the stadium's iconic features, including the hallowed grounds and player facilities. Engaging with the rich heritage and significant moments that have transpired within its walls was captivating. The informative insights into the venue's evolution and its place in sports history were enlightening. Overall, the visit left a lasting impression of admiration for the venue's significance.
Dr G — Google review
Visiting the Melbourne Cricket Ground was truly a memorable experience. The stadium’s sheer size and historic significance immediately stood out—it’s not just a sporting venue, but a landmark filled with tradition and pride. Walking through the gates, I could feel the energy and legacy of countless legendary matches that have taken place here. The guided tour was well-organized and gave fascinating insights into the stadium’s history, the players, and the cultural importance of cricket in Australia. Standing in the stands and imagining the roar of over 100,000 fans was simply breathtaking. The MCG shop was also a highlight, offering a wide range of memorabilia and merchandise, perfect for any cricket lover. Overall, the visit was both exciting and inspiring. Whether you’re a cricket enthusiast, a sports fan, or just someone who appreciates history and culture, the MCG is an absolute must-visit in Melbourne
Shanz S — Google review
Visited the MCG for the AC/DC concert, and it was an unforgettable experience! The energy, the sound quality, and the atmosphere were absolutely electric. The stadium was well-organised, easy to navigate, and the vibe was just incredible. A perfect venue for a legendary show! ⚡🎸

My daughter and I, visiting from England, had a great time on the tour of the MCG. Expertly guided by club member Anne, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience on the eve of the AFL Grand Final. As we anticipated, the changing rooms and Long Room were out of bounds so close to the big event, but these minor disappointments were soon forgotten as the rest of the tour was so informative and inspiring. Should you have the opportunity to also visit the adjoining museum you must do so, as this is a phenomenal experience. Many thanks to Bill, the very helpful volunteer who entertained me here. A real highlight of our trip to the city.

The shrine hosts over 120 ceremonies and commemorative services annually, making it an active venue for honoring heroes. Its location offers stunning views of Melbourne city and the bay area. Art Museums
The National Gallery of Victoria, also known as NGV, is a renowned art museum in Melbourne that boasts an extensive and diverse collection of Australian and international art and artifacts. It is divided between two buildings: the Ian Potter Centre in Federation Square and the NGV International on St Kilda Road.
This is my first business trip to Australia, and I’ve come to the city of Melbourne. Today is Sunday, and I finally found some free time to visit an Australian art gallery. The collection here is very diverse, featuring both Eastern and Western works, including sculptures, art creations, and paintings. I personally prefer viewing paintings, so I took many photos of them. I won’t go into too much detail here, but I highly recommend everyone visit, it’s a truly visually pleasing experience.
CH — Google review
The NGV is definitely a must-visit when you’re in Melbourne. The variety of art on display is incredible — from classic works to contemporary installations, Indigenous pieces, and international exhibitions. Every room offers something unique, and you can easily spend hours exploring without getting bored. What I loved most was how thoughtfully everything was curated. The exhibitions had a clear flow, the descriptions were informative, and the overall vibe was calm and inspiring. The gallery space itself is also stunning — spacious, clean, and easy to access by public transport. That said, it can get very crowded during major exhibitions. Some parts felt rushed or hard to fully enjoy because of the number of people. Also, the layout can be a bit confusing at times, especially when transitioning between different sections or locations. A few visitors seemed frustrated by early room closures or long queues for ticketed exhibits. Still, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. NGV offers a rich cultural experience and is a gem for both locals and tourists. Just try to visit on a weekday or earlier in the day to avoid the peak rush!

I recently visited the National Gallery of Victoria and absolutely loved it! The art collection is diverse and beautifully presented, combining Australian, Indigenous, and international works. The building itself is stunning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Entry to the main exhibits is free, which makes it even better. A must-visit spot in Melbourne for art and culture lovers!
Anup K — Google review
The NGV is always a great place to spend a few hours, even though it was quite packed during my visit, there’s so much to see that it’s worth it. The mix of permanent collections and changing exhibitions keeps things fresh, and I really appreciated that some of the exhibitions are free, which makes it very accessible. A must-visit if you’re in Melbourne.
Daisy H — Google review
My wife and I were visiting from Sydney and decided to go to the NGV as we were walking around the city. We were very pleasantly surprised at the diversity of the art and sculptures in the collections. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Melbourne.
Henry B — Google review
I visited the National Gallery of Victoria on a busy Saturday afternoon with friends. I’ve been a few times before as a local, but this visit stood out because I had the chance to really explore more of what the gallery offers. It’s just a short walk or tram ride from Flinders Street Station if you’re coming by PTV, or plenty of paid parking is available nearby if you’re driving. The building itself is hard to miss, with its large size, striking fountain and man made pond out the front, and of course the iconic water wall at the entrance. Entry is free unless you choose to see one of the rotating paid exhibitions. This time, we skipped the ticketed exhibit and wandered through the many free galleries instead. On the ground floor, there’s a stunning foyer space filled with sculptures and the famous room with the colourful stained glass ceiling, which always feels magical to walk under. From there, you can step outside into the sculpture garden and pond area, which is another highlight. Getting upstairs is easy with both escalators and accessible options. The galleries are currently arranged by region, and it was fascinating to walk through each one and see the differences and similarities across cultures. I especially loved the Japanese and Chinese galleries, the detail and richness of the traditional pieces were incredible. Even though it was busy, the space felt open enough for everyone to explore at their own pace. There were toilets on every level, information points, and staff around to help if you needed directions. The building itself is so large that it almost felt like a maze at times but getting “lost” just meant stumbling upon more artwork to enjoy. We didn’t even manage to get through everything before closing, which only gives me another reason to come back. Everything felt well looked after, and the whole gallery had such a calm, inspiring vibe. I’d absolutely recommend visiting the NGV if you’re in Melbourne and looking for something to do in the CBD. It’s packed with history, culture, and beauty, and it’s the kind of place that makes you want to return again and again.

After Six years,I visited here again. There were many tourists and many interesting exhibitions, which were really amazing. After visiting the exhibition, you can also have a cup of coffee or some afternoon tea here, buy some art souvenirs, and there are many books worth reading.

The National Gallery of Victoria is such a gem in Melbourne! ✨ From the moment you walk in, the space feels inspiring and full of creativity. The mix of classic art and modern exhibitions is amazing—you’ll always find something new that surprises you. The building itself is beautiful, and it’s the perfect spot to spend a few hours wandering, reflecting, or just enjoying the vibe. Definitely one of my favorite places in the city! 🎨

Hosier Ln is a celebrated laneway in Melbourne, known for its vibrant urban art and graffiti. The cobbled street draws crowds of camera-wielding visitors eager to capture the edgy graffiti, stencils, and art installations that adorn the walls. The subject matter of the artwork is largely political and countercultural with a touch of irreverent humor. Art pieces change frequently, ensuring a dynamic experience for every visit.
A paradise for street art lovers, don't miss this place in Melbourne city where every visit brings a fresh new scene

Wandering through iconic Hosier Lane 🎨 Street art for days and colour in every corner. So visually satisfying. Be sure to check it out if you’re ever in Melbourne.

This place is full of cool street art and colourful walls. It’s a fun spot to walk through and take photos. Always something new to see here.

One of Melbourne's iconic places. Great for photography. Definitely a selfie / instagrable spot. Attracts alot of tourists.

Filled with murals & street art of different kinds - some moving & evocative, some fun.
Vamsi K — Google review
This graffiti street was overhyped. Not the best graffiti I’ve seen. I preferred AC/DC street. Malaysia had better graffiti.

When in Melbourne, for the gram and memories. No entry fee, try to go during non peak timings to avoid crowds all wanting to take pictures.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Flinders Street Railway Station is a true gem nestled in the heart of Melbourne, boasting a stunning yellow facade and an iconic dome that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike since its opening in 1909. This architectural marvel, with its grand arched entrance and Romanesque Revival style, serves as both a bustling transport hub and a beloved meeting point for generations.
Flinders street railway station is an absolute icon of Melbourne. Known for its spectacular architecture, this train station is a landmark and a central hub for trains. A lot of trams and trains pass by, and through the station day, after day, after day. Buy hey, it's a station, and that's what it's made for. It's a very busy and packed station, so try not to miss your train. Anyways, what I'm saying is, it's a great station. It just is. Would like to see again.

Flinders Street station. Over the years I've seen a few impressive improvement changes. The organisation of signs is super helpful. Within seconds you can figure out where to catch the right train, making your travel experience enjoyable.

Play mini golf here in the ballroom during Rising Festival. Such a great space, rarely used. Was a good time.

Busy station in the centre of Melbourne. Great food shops. Use trams for all the important places.

Could have been more cleaner. Could have more seating for the eateries People literally sit on the stairs and sit near the toilets to eat food. So hard to watch that. Passengers are paying lot of money it’s not like they have a choice. Instead of just putting money on the restorations spend tiny portion on customers needs as well But I must say such a beautiful view from outside

Close to our accommodation, beautiful heritage architecture, train station, shops .. very busy place .. street car pass by .

We visited this iconic landmark in Melbourne. The architecture is classic and a nice place for photos. However, inside the station is all business and we could not get in without a train ticket. There are some food stalls and cafes just along the side of the train station.

Huge station with friendly staff and a lot of shops. I visited this station on Australia Day. There was a big crowd in front of the station but the police and security staff kept everything in order. This is historically building. It worths to visit even if you don’t use train. There is beautiful cathedral in front of the station. Good place to visit too.

Museums
Nestled in the historic Carlton area just north of Melbourne's CBD, the expansive 70,000-square-meter Melbourne Museum offers a deep dive into the city's rich history and diverse culture. With eight galleries spread across six floors, visitors can explore Aboriginal artifacts at the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, encounter Australia's unique wildlife including a massive blue whale skeleton and legendary racehorse Phar Lap's preserved body, and take guided tours to uncover hidden stories of Melbourne.
We booked our tickets online which helped us skip the queue. Reached around 10 am when it was still quiet, though it did get busier as the day went on. My son is very curious, and he thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the museum. The Dinosaur section was definitely a major highlight for him. The Rainforest section was another favourite - walking among real flora and trees inside a museum felt amazing! Other sections like bugs & insects, soils, and the Ice Age were equally fascinating. We spent about 4–5 hours exploring everything at a relaxed pace. We had lunch at the Market Café inside the museum, which was quite convenient. Afterward, we enjoyed some time at the beautiful Carlton Gardens just outside - a perfect way to wrap up the visit. Overall, a fantastic experience for both kids and adults. Highly recommend spending half a day here!

Melbourne Museum is an absolute gem! We visited after lunch with my son, and even in just a few hours, we had an incredible time. This is a place where kids (and adults!) can learn so much in a fun and engaging way — you could easily spend a full day exploring. The dinosaur exhibition was a highlight for us, packed with fascinating displays and information that really capture children’s curiosity. We also loved the insect area, which was both educational and surprisingly fun to explore. Everything is well-presented, interactive, and perfect for sparking young minds. Adults tickets are $15, and kids go free, making it fantastic value for families. I recommend booking online to avoid the queues. We’ll definitely be back for a full-day visit next time!

An awesome experience! The Star Wars Lego exhibition was super easy to access and really simple to navigate. There are plenty of activities throughout, for both kids and adult fans. It’s a great outing for families as well as die-hard Star Wars and LEGO fans. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend checking it out!

Pretty cool place tbh. The Melbourne Museum is huge — like, you could easily get lost in there. Loved the dinosaur section and the First Peoples exhibit, super interesting and well done. There’s also a kids area that looked fun even if you’re not a kid lol. Some parts felt a bit dated though, and a few displays could use more interactive stuff or better lighting. But overall, it’s a chill spot to spend a few hours and learn a bunch of random cool things. Would def recommend if you’ve got some free time in Melbourne.

I took my granddaughter to the Halloween at the Museum on the afternoon of Oct31st. We came a little early so we had to wait to enter. It was such an exciting event for my granddaughter…and for me. Kids in costume as well as the adults. The activities for the kids were great and we enjoyed looking at the gallery in the dark. It was fantastic. Parking in the basement was handy. Staff were friendly but not quite knowledgeable of the wheres and whats that night. Still, I will recommend this museum and this particular event. Its a must see and must attend!

We had the best experience at the museum. We went there when there was the Lego Exhibition on Star Wars - the creation were insanely good! There was also a rainforest in the museum - we went in to have a look. We saw the T-Rex show at the iMax theatre too. We had so, so much fun. Absolutely recommend a visit - more than worth the day and money.

This review is only about current special exhibition: Treasures of the Viking Age -The Galloway Hoard. The Galloway Hoard discovered in 2014 had 100 items, a small but very significant find. However, what is exhibited here is a lot less, museum blurb states about 90 pieces but it does look significantly less. The items are spread out in sections - entrances like Viking doorways & "padded" with massive graphics via video & static projections, albeit immersively displayed & easy to digest. The superstars of the Hoard - the small silver vessel with lid, the tiny crystal jar covered with elaborate goldwork & one more item - are all 3D-printed replicas. The reason - too fragile to be transported. I really liked the presentation & background on how the hoards were buried, the trade & marauding routes traversed by Viking warlords that enabled procurement of precious metals from far away lands along the Silk Route. But disingenuous inclusion of other discoveries is not necessary. I would rather hear more about why hoarding was so prevalent 1000 years ago or did I miss this bit? There is enough original intricate pieces that makes this exhibition worthwhile - artefacts like the Silver Cross with the fine spiral chain, intricate armbands (make great copies for olde fashion wrist watches!) & the elaborate brooches. But, but (& the reason for my 3 star review) - Where are the replicas of Vikings - both men & women, depicting how these wonderful ancient antiquities were adorned/worn? This would have really showcased the the wealth of the warlords & their treasured heirlooms..✨️✨️

Picture yourself meandering through lush landscapes or galloping across open fields, all while being guided by a friendly and attentive staff. The experience at Uncle Nev's is truly remarkable!
Wonderful weekend experience at Uncle Nev’s. All horse were well trained and behave. Staff at the reception were very friendly. It was summer season, so all field was dried and brown and no kangaroo around due to the hot weather at that day. I think best time is cooler season. Just one thing I like to address about “ stand up!!” Commands to us from the guides while we were riding during the tour. The guides were sometime suddenly yelled to the guest “ stand up !!” While horses were peeing . We had no idea what’s going on. Almost end of the tour we found out the reason why we need to stand up because for smooth wee for horses. Please explain to us before started the tour.

Always an incredible experience! I've been coming here for 10 years and my mum did before me with her parents too. Staff are lovely, horses are gorgeous and the whole atmosphere is magical!

Was a very good experience, horses are docile, staffs are friendly and supportive. Boots, jackets, bum bags provided. Wild animals could be seen, kangaroos, rabbits, and even peacock. Strongly recommend to take the 3 hour ride, 2 hours definitely not enough to find your fun.

Great fun day. This was an anniversary present. The horses are great and well looked after. Lots of parking. They can supply bum bags, boots and helmets. Your welcome to take you own. The start took roughly an hour to get everyone on there horses, so be prepared to sit on them for a while. Abit of paper work to do at the start. Nice little trails through the bush. We picked the 3 hour afternoon ride. We got to stop at a little house on the hill overlooking everywhere, we had coffee, cordial and biscuits. With a much needed toilet break. People were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience! It was a present for my fiancé’s birthday, and we loved it! It was my first horse ride, so I was a bit nervous, but all the staff were very friendly and helpful. In our group, we had a mother and daughter as our coaches. They shared stories with us, which made our riding experience even more special. We will be back ❤️lovely!

Was an amazing experience, the people working there are so kind. We had never ridden horses before, but the team made it easy to learn. There’s the option to be picked up from Wallan Station making it easy with PTV.

Where do I begin? Wonderful day out for my friends birthday. I was paired with ANZAC(the horse) who was a well mannered gentleman throughout the ride. We were hot to trot and saw a roo, a bunny and an echidna.

This was one of the best experiences I had... I went on the 3-hour trail ride and the staff there made sure everyone was given horses according to their ability and made sure everyone was comfortable with them.... The staff were just lovely - they talked to each one of us and asked about if we were comfortable or not. The way the staff handled beginner riders and experienced riders separately was so good. they made sure that the beginners were sent first and the experienced to canter behind them. I would go this place every 2 weeks from now on cause the pricing for this 3 hour ride was worth every penny of the experience.
