Amazing views and great bushwalk. The walk to the waterfalls is very nice and kids friendly too. The path is paved and it has a gentle slope You can't miss the crystal waterfalls and crossing the small bridge. Loads of wildlife around and amazing to see Lyrebirds in the wild, just 1m away from us.

We walked from the Visitors Centre to The Glade and back late in the afternoon. Not too many people and a great array of rainforest birds, including several displaying Superb Lyrebirds, Noisy Pitta, Logrunner, Wompoo Fruit-dove and Green Catbird, plus an Echidna. The Visitors Centre has a good display and an excellent gift shop, but the cafe is closed.

A beautiful park , sunrise boardwalk is one of the highlights of this park . There are no entry fee but A$2 donation to support the national park so please carry some gold coin for a good cause . There are two nice waterfalls and one waterfall is accessible to play in the waters . Great place to visit.

Beautiful day trip location. Walking track was sealed and a fairly easy walk. Enjoyed the tour on offer also. Picturesque views and tranquil picnic spot.
Kerren M — Google review
Dorrigo NP is well worth a visit to experience the ancient forests. We found there was time in a day to do both the sub-tropical Wonga walk to the beautiful Crystal Springs waterfall and a section of the Blackbutt temperate forest walk. As well as a picnic at the Glade and a loiter around the information centre. All up a wonderful day. The forests are amazing, especially the Titanic-sized fallen giants along the Blackbutt trail.
Gillian A — Google review
A great parkland, but not at its best at the moment. Unfortunately the Cafe and a loop of the rainforest walk were closed. It will be great again once these things are restored.

Dorrigo National Park is a breathtaking natural wonder that offers visitors an unforgettable experience in the heart of a World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforest. Located just an hour from Coffs Harbour, this park feels like stepping into another world. The park's crown jewel is undoubtedly the Crystal Shower Falls, a stunning waterfall that you can actually walk behind. This 6.6 km loop takes you through subtropical rainforest, past 600-year-old trees, and the beautiful Tristania and Crystal Falls. The park is also a birdwatcher's paradise, with chances to spot colorful species like the wompoo fruit-dove and the regent bowerbird. The Dorrigo Rainforest Centre is an excellent starting point for your visit. It offers informative exhibits, a café, and access to various walking tracks. Don't miss the opportunity to take a ranger-guided tour to gain deeper insights into this ancient ecosystem. Whether you're looking for scenic picnic spots, challenging hikes, or simply a place to reconnect with nature, Dorrigo National Park delivers on all fronts. It's a testament to the raw beauty of Australia's natural heritage and a place that will leave you in awe of the wonders of the rainforest. Enjoy it!

The V Wall

Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Beautiful place to enjoy the view with many painted rocks lining the walk. Wish we had brought our own paint to make our own painted rock. They also have a very nice and clean bbq facility as well as many shaded picnic tables to enjoy a meal
Elle W — Google review
We visited the Nambucca head on the way back to Sydney. Wow it got breath taking ocean view and the V wall walk is so memorable. We shall bring the colours and preparing our own design to revisit this site in the near future.
JJ F — Google review
Wall was amazing great to see all the painting on the rocks. Not quite sure who and why they were painted. There were memorial plagues of people that had passed away which was a little confronting but all good. Fishing there was pretty ordinary really, the current was really strong tide going out and even when it started to come back in the afternoon it was still quite strong. Lots of snags in the water so lost a few lines and jigs trying the wall. Would recommend to check out the tide before you go and attempt the wall. No one else caught anything either in several hours. Overall though it is a beautiful spot for a picnic a quick swim etc. Recommend visit if your in Nambucca Heads for sure.
Ali ( — Google review
Beautiful place to visit and relax. You can enjoy a nice walk and it’s quite interesting to see where the river meets the ocean. The beach is lovely and peaceful and perfect for a holiday or a quick stop during a road trip. Definitely worth a detour.
Sandeep — Google review
Great place to walk wall and lots of interesting rocks. You can also break the walk by taking the side track across to Shelley Beach. A further side track takes to Wellington which can make a circuit. You have to back track from Shelley a short while. The wall is an easy 3.6km walk along foreshore.
Redfern R — Google review
Nambucca Heads NSW is such a awesome little spot to visit And visiting the wall, with all the great artwork on the rocks was great to see. Plenty of parking Toilets Plenty of tables and seating for a BBQ. We highly recommend visiting the wall.👍🇦🇺

Beautiful and long walk along the water with thousands of colourful, well painted rocks lining the shore. Saw the biggest and closest pod of dolphins I've ever seen in my life towards the end, playing in the waves. Must do if anywhere in the area

Trial Bay Gaol

Mentioned on
23 lists
Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Trial Bay Gaol is a well-preserved 19th-century prison located on a picturesque peninsula. It was initially built for constructing a breakwater, which ultimately failed, leading to its use as an internment camp during World War I. The hexagonal structure made of grey granite housed 'good conduct' prisoners and now stands as a historic ruin overlooking Trial Bay. Visitors can explore the history of the gaol and its role in WWI while enjoying the nearby beach and picnic areas.
5.9.2025 This is worth the look, there is an entry fee (seniors discount is available); we visited last week, I believe it was approx $12 per adult. There is a movie that plays which is interesting to watch and gives a run down of the history. There are also 2 audio's that play in the cells telling different stories. You can walk freely around the entire complex and climb up the stairs for an amazing view. There are also souvenir golden coins that can be purchased from the shop.
Bernice M — Google review
I had no idea about the history behind this gaol and how interesting it was. It is a beautiful location with stunning views and some resident kangaroos! If you are lucky and there at the right time you may even see whales! Well worth a visit!
Elizabeth C — Google review
What an extraordinary place. Trial Bay Gaol took my breath away. The view alone is worth the visit… the bluest ocean stretching endlessly beneath you, wrapped in fresh sea air that feels like a gift. 🌊✨ There’s a kind of energy here that’s hard to explain…. the kind you’d love to bottle up and keep forever. The architecture, the history, the wild beauty surrounding it… it all weaves together to create something truly special. I honestly don’t know why this place isn’t more well known, but I’m so grateful I got to experience it. It’s one of those rare places that lingers with you long after you leave.
Kylie B — Google review
11 dollars entry, which I thought was very reasonable. You have the opportunity to have a look in the small museum at the entry. Then you can walk around the goal at your own pace. Make your way up the watchtower for awesome views. The cells are open to walk inside as well as the quiet cells.
K M — Google review
Stunning, old ruins kept in pristine condition. Very much worth the modest entry price. Views forever. An interesting part of Australias history. Don't miss the museum!
Nick N — Google review
Fun couple of hours if you are visiting South West Rocks. The Gail has a rich convict history as well as being used as an internment camp for Germans during the First World War. Great views of the bay from the top of the guard house. Watch the short film before you go in, for a brief history of the gaol.
Mark S — Google review
one of the best highlights for a road trip! An awesome place to visit with a fascinating historical background. The site offers a pretty cool experience and is definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring the area.
Sandeep — Google review
We visited the historic gaol site for a while however it was so windy that it was hard to walk, 80 km gusts driving huge waves on the ocean. The stone walls built by convicts are still standing strong but there are few roofs left. The display panels tell a lot of stories of the prison system of the time and of the time when German prisoners were interned in WW1 as enemy aliens The site is well worth visiting

Absolutely beautiful light house. The ocean view from the top was magical. The ocean looks like it's been painted. Plenty of parking area available and an easy drive to get there. There were few kangaroos in the area. They were friendly. The view of the other hill side was fantastic too.
Bibek A — Google review
What a beautiful spot! The views are amazing and the hike was very do-able and while steep both my wife and I had no problems. We love historic places like lighthouses. There was even a local sunning near the accommodation. 🦘
Dean O — Google review
The lighthouse near South West Rocks is pure magic. ✨ The energy here is electric… alive with ocean breeze, rolling waves, and quiet wonder. We even got a special visit from the whales, gliding past like something out of a dream. 🐋 Why battle the crowds and costs of Byron (beautiful, yes… but busy!) when this hidden gem offers the same breathtaking beauty with a soul-soothing calm? The views are unforgettable, the air feels different… wilder, freer… and it’s the kind of place that reminds you how extraordinary the world can be. 🌊 A must-visit for anyone who loves beauty, nature, and a little spark of magic. ✨
Kylie B — Google review
Absolutely stunning view with views of the whales jumping around. You can stand for ages watching them play. Didn't see a way to get into the lighthouse itself and tour the inside of the lighthouse. The hill up is definitely steep but only a short walk really. I just took a few breaks as a severe Asthmatic.
Faith C — Google review
The lighthouse is part of the national park area. About 7 Km's from the main road to the old gaol. It's a steep walk from the carpark so be prepared. Great views make it worthwhile.
K M — Google review
Smokey Cape Lighthouse is a short drive from the main road. Plenty of parking. Accessible parking available. The walk upto the Lighthouse is steep but the views are spectacular. There's walking tracks to the beach. There's an open area with picnic tables and toilets on the upper grassed area above the carpark over looking the beach in the distance it's family friendly. It is accessible by walking up a few stairs or walking closer to the top of the carpark to get on the path. The Koala Conservation Hospital Port Macquarie is a small rehabilitation center that offers tours to the public. Visitors can meet adorable koalas and learn about their care and preservation for free. The hospital also has a gift shop and offers a Feed, Walk, and Talk tour every afternoon at 3:00 pm.
I recommend going early when the koalas are still active and having their mealtime. It was heartwarming to see how the unwell or injured koalas were cared for. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the volunteers were doing an amazing job. During our visit, there were four joeys, and it was wonderful to see them all. Evans, an injured koala on a special diet, was a delight to watch as he enjoyed his meal. The educational section was also excellent, providing interesting koala facts and valuable knowledge.

The Koala Hospital is currently operating from Guulabaa on Burrawan Forest Drive while they redevelop the site in town. It is such a great facility and so wonderful to see the koalas up in their trees. Great picnic spot outside.

Such a wonderful experience! The family enjoyed it. Good to see we have hospitals for these beautiful animals. They even have a store with cute items to buy. They also have a heritage onsite with cafe with memorabilia. Highly recommended!
Frank B — Google review
What a wonderful place for rescued Koalas. When you visit in the morning when the Koalas get food they are awake. Since September 2024 the hospital needs to charge an entry fee because people weren’t donating enough. An adult pays 12,50$ to treat the sick Koalas. We loved the visit and only met very kind volunteers.
Jules S — Google review
An amazing experience! We gained fascinating insights into the organization’s work at the Koala Hospital. The dedicated volunteers were incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. We were lucky to spot a few koalas, but it’s clear that the focus here is not on showcasing the animals for tourism but on their protection and care—huge respect for that! The hospital will be closing soon, but there is a koala breeding center on the other side of the city, run by the same organization. We were encouraged to visit for more valuable insights. I highly recommend a visit—thank you for your incredible work, and keep it up!
Brian M — Google review
We visited the hospital with the family on a thursday morning. The best option is to go early, as they get food in between 8.30 and 9.00. They also get food in the evening. We didn’t book a tour guide but Maz was around and gave alot of information. We could ask all and any questions about the koalas and their way of life. It’s great to support the hospital as they so take care of them with care. Would recommend a visit!

Good initiative! There really wasn’t that much to do here though for those who have seen koalas before and been to other conservation parks. There were 5 koalas to see and a sign of how they were found. All up 10 min visit.

Beautiful rainforest walk, very well designed and about a bit more than 1 km long. We didn’t see many animals, but the nature and atmosphere made it a lovely experience. After the walk, we stopped at the café which was excellent – great food and drinks! We had a cappuccino and bacon with eggs, both super tasty and freshly made. Definitely worth a visit for a peaceful walk and a relaxing coffee break
Marco S — Google review
Lovely staff, all super friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend to spend some time at the bar and immerse yourself while grabbing a bite/drink. There are several tour options, although you can also purchase the boardwalk alone. In July there are some aboriginal tours going on - photo enclosed. They also sell plants if you want to bring a vivid memory back home and grow it fondly 🌱 Recommended!

Place itself was great. Cute gift-shop, a lot of things to choose from. We saw a few families really enjoying their time there, so perfect with kids. Since we have traveled a lot, it’s not a must see view. Good, but not a must see place.

Fantastic Rainforest tree walk on a walkway through the forest with interesting information along the way about the various trees and plants and their uses. We were lucky enough to see a goanna. Great information centre and souvenirs, Cafe was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited Sea Acres Rainforest centre and did the board walk today and it was magical! We were told at reception where we would see a Powerful Owl, and then spotted it perched on a tree branch which was amazing to see, definitely would not have seen this if we weren’t for the help! The walk is beautiful at every point and the trees were breathtaking! We also met Graham, who is a volunteer at the centre, and asked us if we had any questions about the place, we asked about the fig trees and he had all the facts, we learnt so much! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable so special thanks to Graham! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

This lookout offers absolutely stunning views! If you’re anywhere near the area, you can’t miss it. It’s the perfect spot to take in the landscape, snap a few photos, and just enjoy the moment. Great place to stop and take a break – totally worth it!

Second light house on my visit to Australia. Port Macquarie is a nice place with several areas to go and see the sites as well as sit and relax. This one was easy to find parking and casual stroll about. It is winter in Australia at this time so it can be a bit cool and breezy so keep that in mind if visiting (although during the day while the sun is out, it's not that bad)

We stopped here 2yrs ago and the upgrades they have made are A+! The elevated board walk is magic, the extra seating is a great addition and the anchored binoculars are a wonderful idea (they could have been a little taller and there could have been a set on every observation deck). Beautifully restored and maintained. We got to see some whales in the distance and the binoculars definitely helped!
Bernice M — Google review
Such a lovely view of the sea. From the top of the cliff, this small light house section gives you a panoramic view of the sea. Both sides of the sea stretching across kilometres. A must visit point to sometime in the area !

Whether you drive straight to Tacking Point Lighthouse or take the 3 hour coastal walk from Port Macquarie, the views here are stunning. The lighthouse is automated these days with LED lights though that does not take away from the nostalgia and history. There are many placards that detail the history and sights. During certain times of the year, you can see whales migrating up and down the coast. If you want to can walk down to lighthouse beach or have a picnic on the grounds.
Soniqbuoy — Google review
Fantastic views from the top where the light house is situated with the ocean braking over the rock formations, the beach is awesome Getting to the top of the Lighthouse requires climbing some steps. There is some car parking at the top and bottom of the Lighthouse. Well worth a visit

Had such wonderful experience at tacking point! First time there and we will definitely be going back, so peaceful, I just wish we saw some whales or dolphins but maybe next time

Tomaree Head is a must-visit destination in Port Stephens, offering sandy beaches and hiking trails that lead up bush-clad mountains for stunning ocean views. The 2.2-kilometer summit walk is a popular choice for hikers, providing an energetic but achievable challenge with breathtaking views at the 161-meter-high summit. Visitors can access the start of the hike at Tomaree National Park, located on the other side of Shoal Bay.
About 1 km of very scenic vegetation, elevated walk away. Moderate ability. Some climbing up the stairs. The views were awesome. You can see many bays and coves from the summit. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in this area.
I Q — Google review
Gorgeous short 1km hike to the summit, beautiful 360 views at the top. Lots of stairs near the top, there are a few options to choose a paved path or traditional hiking path. These can be down in sneakers or even summer sandals if you didn’t pack hiking boots. It took me 12 minutes to get to the top, only stopping twice for a quick picture.
Bonnie J — Google review
Definitely another must visit at Shoal Bay, in addition to the summit walk. It’s an easy flat walk with ocean breeze and access to the WWII torpedo emplacement & six inch gun emplacement, just be careful navigating through the rocks.

The Tomaree Coast track offers a great days hiking along this beautiful coastline! So much to see along the way.

Well it's quite a walk up the hill but I took some water and got up to the top and wow what have you if you make the trip up the mountain it is well worth it lot of spots it's quite easy the pathway is a lot better than what it used to be they spend a bit of time fixing up the path I do recommend going up the hill if you have the time the views are excellent from mwh

You get a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the entire Port Stephens area, including the bay, Tomaree Head, and the surrounding landscape. Maitland gaol was a great experience with a great audio tour from your own mobile phone. I was able to stream this straight to my cochlear implants and also have the transcript to read as well for full accessibility. We’re looking forward to coming back when we can tour the towers.

Fantastic experience and was a great morning out. We just did the self guided tour and enjoyed the observations and stories about previous employees. Very interesting history and easy to navigate. Highly recommend if you're in the area! Only suggestion I have for visitors is probably leave the younger kids at home! My older two (7 & 5) enjoyed it but the 3 year old got bored quickly.

Fascinating and confronting - the prison is in an excellent state of preservation and the various eras are well represented in the surviving buildings. The stories from inmates and guards range from sad to spine chilling. An important relic of Australian history preserved for everyone to visit.

What a waste of money. We did the night tour. Young children crying and wanting to leave. People with torches in your face. Nothing too exciting or interesting. People filming for a paranormal experience with fake noises in the background.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Crimes of Passion’ night tour. Our knowledgable and charismatic guide, Robyn and her storytelling ability made it an immersive and memorable experience. We’d recommend this tour and a visit to Maitland Gaol, and will be sure to return :)

This was a mix between serious ghost hunt and theatrical horror house. The atmosphere at night is amazingly solemn and creepy. We were told some interesting history on the tour. I wish I had done a little more research into the history before the tour so that I could have put myself into the experience more.

Newcastle Memorial Walk

War memorial
Sights & Landmarks
The Newcastle Memorial Walk is a breathtaking 450-meter clifftop pathway that not only offers stunning views of the ocean and cityscape but also serves as a heartfelt tribute to those who served in World War I. Stretching from Strzelecki Lookout to Bar Beach, this walkway features impressive steel silhouettes of soldiers, inscribed with nearly 4,000 names of local heroes.
The Newcastle Memorial Walk is one of the most beautiful and meaningful places I’ve visited. Set along the coastline, it offers stunning panoramic views of the ocean, cliffs, and surrounding city - especially during sunrise or sunset. The walkway itself is well-maintained and not too long, making it an easy and enjoyable walk for people of all ages. What makes it truly special is its tribute to the ANZAC soldiers and the region’s history. Along the walk, there are steel silhouettes of soldiers and the names of thousands of local men and women who served in World War I. It’s both moving and respectful, adding a deeper sense of purpose to what could otherwise be just a scenic stroll. The walk also connects with the Bathers Way, so it’s a great part of a longer coastal walk if you want to explore more. Whether you’re there for the views, the history, or just a quiet moment to reflect, it’s worth the visit. It’s a place where natural beauty and history come together perfectly. If you’re in Newcastle, I’d highly recommend taking some time to experience the Memorial Walk, it really leaves a lasting impression.

Along the way, I saw many people walking, exercising, and enjoying their time, which made the whole experience even more lively and enjoyable.

I spent a lovely morning at the Blackbutt Nature Reserve and it was great! We saw wallabies, one koala, emus and much more. The park in itself is really nice and very well organized. It’s perfect for families with kids ! We finished our morning having lunch at the park, as there are many pic nic tables. The reserve is free but the parking lot is around 6$ by hour. We had a coffee and a matcha at the cafe there and it was not really good … we also waited a lot.

Nice park with relaxing area with a playground near the cafe. Many beautiful birds and a paved pathway to see various animals. We saw birds, kangaroos, emus, reptiles and a koala. It was busy but festive on the weekend we went. Overall a great place to visit.

Great for a family day out or a place to hang with friends. There are plenty of spots to sit and have a picnic, including picnic tables. Kids area is great. Cafe has a good selection - all sorts of flavoured croissants, biscuits and cakes, as well as a full menu of breakfast and lunch food. I had a Nutella cookie and it was extremely good! The main nature walk includes koalas, wallabys, lizards, frogs, and birds of all sorts. The emu and kangaroo area is always good to walk around. There are plenty of walking tracks through the reserve. Entry is free, but parking is not. Not really any public transport options, and the road outside the reserve is pretty dangerous to try to cross and theres minimal space to walk on that side of the road. Very much not walkable to there if you live nearby.

Peterson House in Hunter Valley is a must-visit for sparkling wine enthusiasts. The winery offers a premium tasting experience with over 30 varieties of sparkling wines, including the renowned Pink Blush Rose, all crafted using the authentic methode traditionnelle. The picturesque property also houses an award-winning restaurant, Cuvee, where visitors can savor fresh seasonal produce in an elegant setting or opt for a more casual dining experience at the Weekend Oyster Bar.
From the moment we first visited Peterson House, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding this January. The venue itself is stunning, but what truly set it apart was the incredible team, especially Kal and Lucy, who made the entire planning process feel smooth and stress-free. Their responsiveness was exceptional, every time we had a question or needed to tweak something, they got back to us quickly and made us feel like a priority. The actual wedding day was absolutely perfect. Everything flowed beautifully from ceremony to canapes and reception. What impressed us most was how they handled all our requests without any fuss, they just made things happen behind the scenes so we didn't have to worry about anything. Kal and Lucy helped create a day that was everything we hoped for and more, and we're so grateful for the role they played in it. If you are searching for a venue, seriously consider Peterson House.

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Petersons House restaurant! From start to finish, everything was flawless. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a beautiful meal. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply exceptional. The lamb rack was to die for—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavour. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and exceeded expectations. The whole dining experience was such a pleasure and the deconstructed lemon meringue was nothing short of sensational – the perfect finish to an amazing meal. Our grandchildren were also so well catered for and entertained with the activity book waiting for them at the table on arrival, which made the experience even more special. Petersons House is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning!

Our experience at Restaurant Cuvée was delightful! Warm welcoming hosts and wonderful setting under the trees looking across the vines. We were treated to a yummy lunch of zucchini flowers, fresh sourdough, lamb rack and rocket salad. Indulgent and great food! Complimented with great bubbles and followed up with a shared dessert of pavlova and exquisite Davidson plum ice cream! Kim was our waiter and she was so lovely. The perfect combination of friendly conversation and professional service. Kim enhanced our experience and was so nice to both of us and our dog, Betty. Highly recommend a long lunch here !!!

We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding experience! From the very beginning, Lucy and Kal were absolutely incredible to work with—warm, professional, and so attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond to make the planning process seamless, always quick to respond and full of thoughtful suggestions that made the day truly ours. On our actual wedding day, the skies opened up and it poured rain. While many people might panic at the thought, Lucy and the team handled it with such calm and grace that we never once felt stressed. They immediately pivoted, adjusted the setup, and somehow made everything feel even more magical and intimate than we could have dreamed. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and effortless the whole day felt. The venue itself is stunning—rolling vineyards, elegant spaces, and a romantic atmosphere that shines through no matter the weather. We are so grateful to have chosen this place for our wedding, and especially grateful for the entire Peterson’s team, who turned a rainy day into the most joyful, unforgettable celebration. If you’re looking for a venue that’s gorgeous in every season and a team that truly cares about making your wedding perfect, look no further. This was the best decision we made, and we’ll cherish the memories forever!

Located at 2090 Broke Road, Pokolbin, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 I came to these gardens with my group of approximately 35 people, including people with walkers, to see the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular. It was well worth the visit. I absolutely loved it. For the most part, it is accessible for people with mobility issues but there are steps situated around the displays meaning backtracking was required in some instances. Not many though. There’s a couple of toilet 🚻 facilities located at the entrance and about half way through. There’s food vans near the Ferris wheel but they were closed when we went (about 8.30pm) . The amount of work and preparation that had to go into the displays is astounding. So many figurines lighted up. I really enjoyed my visit and took so many photos so remember to bring your camera and make sure to charge your battery in phone because there’s plenty of photo opportunities. Night Entrance (best for this Spectacular to get the full effects fees are - Adults (16+ years) $40.00 Children 4-15 years) - $30.00 Families (2 Adults, 2 Children) - $122.00 There’s always plenty to see during the day also. I would definitely recommend coming here, at least once. A BIG Thumbs up! 👍👍👍

Good venue , about a 5 to 10min walk to where the car was parked because there was heaps of people there. I reckon about 40,000. The concert was really good. The best Act was Vica and Linda Bulla with the guy from hunters and collectors , they also had the church band , and another brother and sister Act , and the last Act was crowded house. Venue was good. We went to the mosh pit at the first band on which was great. We're really close to the stage and it wasn't too crowded but as the afternoon went on it got more and more crowded in the mosh bit and there was a bit more push and shove. Still a great day out and I would recommend it. Certainly if you want to watch some bands and have a good time. Five stars.

Popular zoo with many species of reptiles, free-roaming kangaroos, shows & hands-on experiences.
We had a lovely time today. We came especially for the Bluey experience and it was definitely well worth it. My daughter was so happy to meet Bluey and Bingo and have a photo taken with them. We were not rushed at all and she was given the chance to give them each a hug. We loved seeing the koalas and the Galapagos turtles the most. The interaction with the kangaroos was unforgettable. Got to see the cranky Croc but were unable to see the show as it was too crowded. It was so lovely to be out in nature. Loved to learn about the breeding programs they had. The staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend

We had a fantastic day at the Australian Reptile Park! The park has an impressive collection of reptiles and Australian native animals — from snakes and crocodiles to koalas and Tasmanian devils. The kids especially loved feeding the friendly wallabies and kangaroos, and the highlight of the day was meeting Bluey and Bingo! The park also has lovely picnic areas and a great playground, making it a perfect spot for families to relax and enjoy the day. Highly recommended for a fun and educational outing!

We mainly visited the park for the Bluey show but everything else was great too. The place is nice, not too crowded and kids friendly. It's not huge like other zoos which makes the walking easier with young kids. It has a playground with shaded seats for parents. The shows were quite fun and entertaining and staffs were friendly and knowledgeable.

This was honestly really well done. It was obvious the staff cared about the animals the various medical works they support as well as having a nice well kept park. It was a bit expensive, but I can see how the money was being used unlike so many other places. This is definitely a recommend, especially on weekends

I had an amazing time visiting the Australian Reptile Park! The park is beautifully maintained, and you can tell the animals are really well cared for. There’s such a great variety — from reptiles and kangaroos to koalas and crocodiles — and everything is easy to see and enjoy. The staff truly make the experience special. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals. They took the time to answer questions, share fun facts, and make visitors feel welcome. You can really see how much they love what they do. The shows and talks were entertaining and educational, and it’s great to know that the park plays a big role in wildlife conservation and education in Australia. Highly recommend a visit for families, tourists, or anyone who loves animals. A big thank you to the whole team at the Australian Reptile Park for making it such an enjoyable and memorable day!

Port Jackson is the beautiful place, we know as Sydney Harbour and one of the most spectacular harbours in the world not only on the water but the many walks around the coastline. With its busy water traffic and iconic structures such as the bridge and the Opera House it must be seen from the water

What can I say. Sydney Harbour (Port Jackson) for me personally has and always will be the most picturesque and beautiful harbour in the world. Although I don't live in this city any longer. I am always in awe of this extremely appealing and iconic harbour. It can look so different depending upon the time of day. Or when it is seen at sunrise, sunset, rain or cloud. It never fails to show different characteristics when seen under natural and artificial lighting as well as a variety of different weather conditions. The Iconic Opera House and Sydney Harbour bridge as always are a must see if you are only visiting briefly.

One of the best bays I have ever seen. Excellent balance between natural beauty and real estate. Very proud of my own country.

Fringed by Sydney Harbour National Park, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Catch a ferry to Taronga Zoo Wharf, & walk the trail to Bradleys Head. Watch the ferries commuting across the harbour, enjoy a picnic, & take in the breathtaking scenery. There are great harbour views from the entire walking trail to Middle Head. One of the prettiest, most scenic walks I've been on & highly recommended whilst in Sydney. Also a popular area for fishing & boating.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, an iconic structure opened in 1932, offers the thrilling BridgeClimb experience and the Pylon Lookout with exhibitions. Beyond its fame, Sydney's surroundings offer unique experiences like camping beneath the bridge or glamping in a zoo with a harbor view. The city's wild heart extends to camping areas and caravan parks near the CBD, while train rides from Central Station lead to the Blue Mountains or coastal beaches.
This was such a great walk across the bridge. One has a choice to take the hike up above or walk along the path that is more level and the views quite spectacular. There are a few spots to sit and rest if needed as well.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most remarkable landmarks in Australia and an absolute must-visit when in Sydney. Known as the “Coathanger” because of its unique shape, this bridge is not only an engineering marvel but also a symbol of the city’s history and pride. Whether you are walking across it, driving over it, or simply admiring it from afar, the Harbour Bridge leaves a lasting impression. One of the best experiences is taking a leisurely walk across the bridge. The pedestrian walkway provides stunning views of the Sydney Opera House, the sparkling harbour, and the vibrant city skyline. It is especially breathtaking at sunrise or sunset when the light reflects off the water, creating an unforgettable scene. For those seeking adventure, the famous BridgeClimb offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to climb to the very top, where you are rewarded with panoramic views that stretch as far as the Blue Mountains. The bridge is not just about sightseeing—it’s a living part of Sydney’s daily life. Thousands of cars, trains, cyclists, and pedestrians cross it every day, making it both functional and iconic. The blend of practicality and beauty makes it stand out as one of the greatest bridges in the world. Whether viewed from a ferry on the harbour, the Opera House steps, or from the top during a climb, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is truly spectacular. It represents strength, connection, and the spirit of Sydney. A visit here is always inspiring and memorable.
Pravin R — Google review
Standing atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge was an unforgettable experience. The panoramic views of the Sydney Opera House, the sparkling harbor waters, and the city skyline were absolutely breathtaking. Walking across the bridge gave me a real sense of how massive and iconic this structure is — a true feat of engineering. The climb to the top was surprisingly smooth and well-guided, and the safety measures made the entire journey feel comfortable and secure. The fresh breeze off the harbor and the sight of ferries passing below added to the magic of the moment. What really stood out to me was how the Harbour Bridge brings the city together — both literally and symbolically. Whether you're walking, cycling, or driving across, there's a sense of connection to Sydney's history and its vibrant present. The guides were knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about the bridge's construction and role in the city's development. It's more than just a bridge — it's a living part of Sydney's culture. If you're visiting, I’d say this is absolutely a must-do.
Edrea P — Google review
It is a must experience to walk through the bridge! Stunning views, and about 20/30min walking :) You can also pay to go up the little museum and have an even better view, but we didn’t do it and had the greatest time, still.

Lovely place and a special part of my son's family history. Celebrated 100 years! Well done with the security, clean and lovely place to visit. Many wonderful experiences to be had there and around the bridge with Sydney.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Australia and offers a truly unique experience. Walking across the bridge provides spectacular views of the Opera House, Circular Quay, and the harbour.
Daniela — Google review
The Sydney Harbour Bridge stands as one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, offering an impressive combination of engineering and scenic beauty. Whether viewed from the waterfront or walked across, the bridge delivers sweeping views of the harbour, the Opera House, and the city skyline. Its scale and structure are striking up close, making even a simple stroll feel memorable. The surrounding areas are equally enjoyable, with well-maintained paths, lookout points, and plenty of spots to take in the scenery. Whether you’re sightseeing, photographing the skyline, or just exploring on foot, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a highlight that captures the essence of Sydney’s vibrant harbour.
Andy W — Google review
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is more than just an engineering marvel—it’s a symbol that defines the city’s skyline. Stretching gracefully across the harbor, its giant steel arch frames the water with both strength and elegance. Whether you see it from Circular Quay, the Royal Botanic Garden, or from a ferry gliding underneath, the bridge always commands attention, anchoring the view of Sydney in a way that feels both powerful and beautiful. ✨ A Masterpiece of Design and Scale Nicknamed the “Coathanger” for its sweeping arch, the bridge combines simplicity with grandeur. Its dark steel contrasts dramatically with the blue of the sky and the shimmer of the harbor, creating a bold silhouette that is instantly recognizable around the world. By day it looks solid and commanding; by night, illuminated against the city lights, it becomes almost magical. 🌊 A Perfect Companion to the Opera House What makes the Harbour Bridge especially beautiful is the way it interacts with its surroundings. Alongside the Sydney Opera House, it forms one of the most iconic pairs in global architecture—the strong, geometric arch harmonizing with the sail-like curves of the Opera House. Together, they create a skyline that is not just famous but deeply moving, a perfect blend of engineering and artistry. 🌟 A Living Landmark The bridge isn’t only beautiful from afar; it’s alive with movement. Cars, trains, cyclists, and pedestrians cross it every day, making it not just a monument but a vital part of the city’s daily rhythm. For those who climb it, the view from the top offers one of the most spectacular panoramas of Sydney, with the harbor stretching endlessly in all directions. ⸻ ✅ In short: The Sydney Harbour Bridge is both practical and poetic, a structure that carries people across the water while also carrying the weight of Sydney’s identity. Its beauty lies in its scale, its simplicity, and its perfect harmony with the harbor it spans.

The Sydney Opera House is an iconic arts center located on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, offering breathtaking views of the harbor, bridge, and city skyline. With over 1,600 performances annually, it hosts a diverse range of events including opera, theatre, music, dance, and comedy shows. This architectural marvel is a must-see attraction that draws millions of visitors each year. Its unique design and cultural significance make it a standout feature of the picturesque Sydney Harbour.
Booked the tour and dining experience for $81 weeks in advance. Tour started and ended on time with a group of around 20. Headsets were provided so that everyone can hear the live tour guide. They will ask you to check in any medium or large sizes bags or backpacks, but it's easy and free. Tour involved some easy, short walks and steps, but anyone can manage. Very informative and worth doing. The dining add on gives you 3 restaurant options to choose from, all very close by. There's a special, limited menu just for this deal. I chose Midden which had no wait for lunch time and went with the barramundi dish and pinot grigio. The fish was excellent, perfectly cooked and thoughtfully flavored. Asked for no added salt and they were able to accommodate. Wine was good as well and recommended by the server. Overall, a great tour and dining experience that's reasonably priced

The structure is amazing… just like the pictures you see in Internet. Easy to move around. Handicap friendly. Many spots for snacks and even for lunch or dinner. Inside is big enough to run several events at the same time. We saw The Shiralee… excellent play presentation. Buster really run the show. The terrace around the Opera offers great spots for pictures and opportunities to crash on weddings… many diverse weddings. If you have time, you can visit the Botanical Garden nearby. You can’t miss it, if you are in Sydney!

Of course, the iconic tourist attraction! We usually only take pictures from the outside whenever visiting the Sydney Opera House (SOH). But Alhamdulillah this year we had the chance to watch the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) performance. The architecture is really unique. The view from inside SOP to the Harbour Bridge and the surrounding areas is breathtaking! Each performance lasted around 1.5 hours. The multimedia facility as additional modern setting adds to the amazing theatrical experience. I did not expect to watch the ACO with documentary screening as background. There are bar and café on the main concern hall that serves drinks and light snacks. You can enter from the main entrance located under the primary stairs structure, or you can enter via a door with security check-in table to right after the tourist ticketing area. There are many concerts and arts performances for all ages, not just classical opera or orchestra as I used to think. Well, a famous landmark does not need recommendation. It speaks for itself.
Ira S — Google review
Sydney Opera House really leans into that whole “world-famous icon” thing, but once you stand in front of it you cannot unsee the truth. It looks exactly like a giant rack to dry dishes. A premium, waterfront, government-funded dish rack. Someone clearly put the budget on the wrong Pinterest board. It still looks good, no denying that. The patterns on the tiles are gorgeous, the shape is wild, the whole structure owns the harbor like it pays rent for the sun. But the moment the dish-rack comparison hits your brain, it is over. Those shiny white shells become plates waiting to drip dry. And the big question: was it worth the time and money? Honestly, maybe. It is one of those bucket list things you check off because it is famous, not because it changes your life. You go there, you stare at it, you laugh at how much it looks like kitchen equipment, you take the photos, and you move on. Iconic, yes. Beautiful, sure. Worth the hype? Debatable. But unforgettable as the world’s fanciest dish rack.

Stopped by for a quick look around. Sydney is a beautiful city and this part of town is both historic and swanky. Lots of people about enjoying their evening and overall a very good atmosphere. The whole area surrounding the opera house is lovely to explore.

If you are a lover of Broadway, opera or just to see an iconic building, than this is a must see. Take a guided walking tour starting from the basement on up through the inner workings of the back end. Very interesting and informative. Wear comfortable shoes, it’s a lot of walking. If you are going for a great breakfast, don’t count on it. It’s just meh. Breakfast is at the end of the tour in what they call back in the states their commissary but they call it their green room.

Architecture that captivates your heart! I didn't get a chance to go inside, but honestly, the outside view is stunning enough on its own, it has its power to grab everyone's attention. Top Tip: If you want the best possible view, take a ferry from Circular Quay after sunset. Seeing the Opera House from the water at night is an unmissable experience.
Kishan N — Google review
To call the Sydney Opera House an extraordinary global landmark is not an overstatement. Its design is a study in elegant simplicity, and it inspires a powerful sense of awe whether you are standing right beside it or seeing it from across the harbor. I find myself at a loss for words to fully express my admiration for this magnificent structure. The architecture's silhouette forms a breathtaking curve where the structure meets the sky. This fabulous view is captivating at any hour, whether in the bright light of day or the dark of night.

Circular Quay Wharf 3

Circular Quay Wharf 3 is a bustling hub for ferry services, primarily catering to those heading to the picturesque Manly Beach. With frequent departures and an organized boarding process, travelers can easily swipe through Opal gates and find seating options for those who need it. The journey itself offers breathtaking views of Sydney's iconic landmarks like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, making it not just a means of transport but also a delightful experience.
Catch your old-school ferry to Manly from this wharf at Circular Quay. Offers trips on the largest ferries in the fleet for the 30 minute trip from the city to Manly. If you need to get there faster the fast ferry goes from wharf 2, but costs more and isn’t really the same experience.
Sean N — Google review
Wharf 3 sits in that sweet pocket of Circular Quay where the city meets the water without any fuss. Step off the concourse and you are right on the edge of the harbour, with gulls wheeling overhead and ferries sliding across a backdrop of sails and steel. The layout is intuitive. Big departure boards show routes and countdowns, audio announcements are clear, and the queue forms naturally along the rails so you never feel boxed in. Even on busy afternoons there is space to pause, look out across the bay and decide whether you are chasing the next service or lingering for the view. Getting on board is a smooth process. The ramp sits level with the deck, so prams and wheelchairs roll through easily, and crew guide everyone with a calm efficiency that keeps things moving. Shade canopies take the sting out of bright days and there are benches to lean on while you wait. If the breeze is up the pontoon has that briny, cooling draft that reminds you you are about to be out on open water. Once the gates open the line moves at a steady clip, Opal readers register taps quickly, and you are choosing a seat before you have had time to second guess your plan. A few handy habits make the stop even better. Keep a contactless card ready in your pocket, it helps the whole queue. Sunglasses are your friend when the glare bounces from the water, and a light layer is worth packing because air temperatures dip as soon as the boat swings out into the channel. Pick a spot on the right side of the deck for a sweeping look back to the Opera House on departure, or stay near the stern if you prefer a gentler ride on choppier days. Trains, light rail and coffee are steps away when you return, so it is easy to turn a ferry trip into a simple, satisfying loop through the city.

The Manly ferry leaves from Wharf 3. Entry and exit to the wharf to board is pretty organised, queues form to swipe through Opal gates a few minutes prior to arrival. There is also some seating available for elderly or people with mobility issues.

Nice to good for a ferry ride, a boat ride and walk along this harbour. You can see the famous opera house, and the beautiful scene and feel the vibes of Sydney. The fireworks will be easily seen from the area and that marks a memorable time to be there with you loved ones.

Even on a cloudy day, Darling Harbour has a special charm. The grey skies seemed to soften the light over the water, giving the whole area a calm, peaceful feel. The reflections on the harbour looked almost silver, and the gentle breeze made it a perfect day for a slow walk along the waterfront. Cafés were cozy and welcoming, ideal for grabbing a warm coffee and sitting by the window to enjoy the view. The atmosphere was relaxed, with locals and tourists alike taking in the scenery and street performances. The mix of boats, water, and city skyline gives the place such a unique energy, even without the sunshine. Whether you’re after a quiet coffee, a nice meal by the water, or just a scenic stroll, Darling Harbour is beautiful in any weather. The cloudy sky only added a touch of serenity to the experience.

The Ultimate Weekend Vibe: Bondi to Coogee (Our Personal Review!) "The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk lived up to its legendary status, but sharing it with a friend last weekend made it truly unforgettable! We were treated to the classic Sydney coastline magic: the turquoise water, the dramatic cliff views we captured in that great panoramic video, and the sheer scale of the ocean, only broken by a lone sailboat cutting across the horizon. But the real joy was the energy we encountered along the way. Seeing the beach volleyball teams setting up at Bondi. The bustling atmosphere at Tamarama (where we saw the unique temporary art installation! ), and each beach had its own wonderful character. We even got a dose of inspiration from the amazing Sculpture by the Sea exhibition (like the fantastic metal fish sculpture \ and the captivating rope-wrapped tree ). They were such a wonderful, unexpected surprise along the trail! This walk is more than just a hike; it's a vibrant, constantly changing gallery of nature and art that reconnects you to the outdoors. A perfect, energizing day trip—and an absolute must-do for anyone seeking beauty and inspiration! We finished the day feeling completely refreshed and already planning our next hike! #hikingdiarybyabid

Had already planned in advance to do this walk from other recommendations before arriving in Sydney but a couple of locals mentioned it too and it featured on a couple of maps that we picked up. We took the T4 train to Bondi Junction and then walked the 30 mins or so to Bondi before setting off south to Coogee. Plenty of beaches and views to admire plus flowers and wildlife. A fair few steps in places but nothing that most people wouldn’t be able to handle. In all it took is just over 90 mins. Well worth it to get away from the bustle of the city.

Really nice walk, great for all levels of fitness...drive to where you want to start your walk or get public transport to your closest point you wish to start and off you go... Take a picnic with you and stop anywhere along the way and enjoy a romantic picnic in the sun or under the shade of many trees and parks along the way or stop into one of the many cafe's and rest and take in the magnificent scenery, views and breathe in the fresh clean and cool Ocean air..🌴⛱️🌊🌬🌴 Remember to respect the privacy of all the beautiful houses you see along the way, and also to respect the land, nature and wildlife and always take your rubbish with you and use the ma y bins you'll find along the way 😊 Remember, walking on the path is like driving on the road, "keep to the leftt"... Thank you 😊

The Coogee–Bondi coastal walk is one of those experiences that never gets old, no matter how many times i have done it. The path winds along dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and sparkling blue water that seems to change shades with every step. It’s an easy-to-moderate walk, but the views make it feel like a breezy stroll

Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park

Nestled just 45 minutes from Sydney's bustling CBD, Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park is a delightful escape for animal enthusiasts and families alike. This charming wildlife sanctuary boasts an impressive collection of over 1,700 birds, mammals, and reptiles, making it one of the largest showcases of Australian wildlife in the world. Unlike larger zoos that can feel overwhelming, Featherdale offers a more intimate experience where visitors can engage closely with its adorable residents like wallabies and koalas.
I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park with my tourist group. One of the highlights was getting to take a photo with a koala, and I felt such joy feeding many animals, including the kangaroos. Those moments will forever hold a special place in my memory. The zoo, while not overly large, has a charming layout. Upon entering, you receive a booklet that serves as your guide—it's such a delightful touch! As you make your way through the different areas, you can stamp the booklet to mark the places you’ve visited, which adds a playful aspect to the experience. Although, like any zoo, it has its unique smells, I was truly impressed by the dedication of the staff. Their passion for caring for the animals shines through in every interaction. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this lovely zoo if you ever have the chance; the close-up encounters with the wildlife are both heartwarming and unforgettable.

About an hour outside Sydney, this animal park is a great way to see some of Australia’s iconic wildlife up close—kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. It’s very convenient for a day trip from the city, though it can get a bit crowded with tourists. I visited as part of a tour, which made it easy and enjoyable. For anyone short on time who wants a taste of Australia’s unique animals, this is definitely a worthwhile experience.
Mo K — Google review
Best part of the park is hand feeding the wallabies. They are just so cute and friendly! They are free to roam, though they are scaredy cats so close the gates gently to avoid them panicking and running for their lives! After this visit, I think they are the cutest animals in Australia, way way cuter than the always sleeping koala and the slow moving quokkas. The animals are very well taken care of, except for the wallabies which seem always hungry (maybe they'll be fed again after the zoo closes?). I visit on a rainy day which was a bit inconvenient because there're not enough places with a roof. But still it was fun checking out the animals. Though they seem less energetic. Quokkas are in enclosures, so if you only interested in them, you may want to buy the encounter package, which I think is quite expensive. Also, be sure to go to the lorikeet walk in which you can see the birds up close, but bear in mind it closes at 2. Tickets are cheap on Trip.com. I purchased on the day I went and it was around AUD 22. Animal food was AUD 5 a cup which was way more than enough to feed. I end up going back to near the entrance to feed the remainder to the wallabies. Overall very worthwhile taking the long trip to this zoo.
Ada L — Google review
One of the best wild life "zoos" in town, nestled in a suburban area, sufficient parking, and all wildlife within close proximity. Well cared for by staff, including volunteers. Staff willingly provide info about displays during timely feeding sessions, including photo sessions with koala, and close encounter in some displays, public can hand feed the "residents". Most impressive were "tree kangaroo", rock wallabies, quokkas, wallabies and echidna. Easy walk and compact exhibits. Reptiles, blue tongue and shingle back lizards... great easy 2+ hours' wallk.

A hidden gem - genuinely the largest Australian wildlife collection I’ve had the privilege of visiting and learning about. There are so many aviaries filled with the most beautiful birds, gliders and even ghost bats! The animals here are all very curious and friendly, and enjoy interacting with humans - you can tell that the animals here are well loved and cared for <3 I lost track of time looking around, highly recommend this beautiful sanctuary! Enjoy some of the quick sketches and pictures I took during my visit.

I absolutely loved my visit to Featherdale! It ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The animal interactions were incredible — I got to get up close with so many Australian animals, and the staff made everything feel safe, fun, and personal. You can really tell the animals are well cared for, and it made the whole experience even more special. I also loved how easy it was to get there using public transportation. The trip was super straightforward, and the park is conveniently located, which made the visit stress-free. Overall, Featherdale is a must-see. If you love animals and want an interactive, memorable experience, this place is perfect. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful time at the sanctuary and enjoyed seeing all the nat ive Australian animals. It was very Hands-On and great for children because they can safely explore and enjoy the experience more freely than a larger, more structured zoo setting. All of these staff were very friendly and hands on. The gift shop was also great with lots of Australia souvenirs.

Bit of a pokey location... literally in a neighbourhood. That said... for a privately run facility, there are loads of animals to see and you can even feed the roos. Nowhere near a Taronga obviously but definitely smaller and easier on the legs who can't do the Taronga distances. Worth a visit at least once.

What an exciting day at Raging Waters Sydney! The park is packed with fun and thrilling rides — from heart-racing slides to relaxing water attractions, there’s something for everyone. The wave pool and lazy river were perfect for chilling out, and the bigger slides definitely got the adrenaline going! The place is well-maintained, the staff were helpful, and there’s plenty of space to enjoy with friends or family. If you’re looking for a fun day out with water adventures and great vibes, this is the place. Highly recommend for both kids and adults! ☀️🌊

I went to raging waters at prospect. It’s a lovely place to go with the whole family. It has so many different things you could do. There is a world pool, different slides, a beach, dinosaur island. Plenty of water features and water areas for the kids. Lots of facilities, ice creamery, cafe, shops. Lots of areas to rest and relax. Lots of life guards. I just thought it was a very expensive $15 for parking, $65 for entry, frozen drink was like $10, 2 tiny scoops of ice cream was $10, chips were like $12 for a large. All the shops were very short staffed I waited 40 minutes for chips. Every time i needed something I waited a long line spent half my time there waiting in line. Should consider getting more staff for the food shops during peak days.

We spent a full day at Raging Waters Sydney and honestly, it was one of the best family outings we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the energy was vibrant and exciting — the park is clean, well laid out, and there’s something for absolutely everyone. The ride variety is impressive. We loved the thrill slides like the T5 and 360Rush — intense, fast, and so much fun. My partner and I took turns doing the big rides while the kids splashed around in the children’s areas, which are really thoughtfully designed with safety and fun in mind. The wave pool (“The Beach”) was a hit with all of us — a great place to relax in between rides and just soak up the sun. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff friendliness. Lifeguards and attendants were attentive, patient, and seemed genuinely happy to help, which made a big difference — especially on a warm, busy day. Lines for the rides were reasonable for a weekend; we did wait a bit for the major attractions, but it moved steadily and didn’t feel frustrating. Food was decent for a theme park — a bit pricey, but the variety was better than expected, and everything we had was fresh and hot. I recommend bringing a water bottle and using the refill stations — super convenient and helps avoid buying bottled water. We rented a locker and found the facilities to be modern and easy to use. Parking was smooth, and we appreciated that everything was well signposted and organised. I’d definitely recommend arriving early to make the most of your day — and consider a cabana or reserved area if you want a more private base for your group. All in all, Raging Waters Sydney exceeded our expectations. It’s the perfect place for both adrenaline seekers and families with young kids. We’re already planning to come back next season — might even grab season passes next time. Highly recommended!

Great park, awesome atmosphere. The slide lineup at Raging Waters Sydney is pretty impressive and it has something for everyone. The food options are as you'd expect from a theme park with hot chips, burgers, hot dogs, pizza etc. The prices for tickets and season passes are definitely reasonable. The only downside is the lack of investment in new attractions. A new slide tower would be very much appreciated for someone who goes each year. It has been too long since any new slides have been installed and would really benefit from some new intense slides.

Dear raging waters I be much appreciative if you could reply it was fantastic waterpark but however there’s lot silde s you can’t go solo and there was individual person who was solo and they try to share tube with group and one person in that group said no sorry when ride operator asked group if they could share and I know person saying no doesn’t know person and isn’t responsible to share but it was only sharing slide for two minutes it wasn’t like they were being told to share silde s for rest of day with stranger and I just think it’s unfair there’s not many solo rides anymore as people pay good money and they can’t get there money worth and I think before you pay online there should be warning that’s it’s strongly recommended you come with ride partner or otherwise you might not be given you full experience and understand rules are rules and I know person who said no sorry might not necessarily meant to be rude and might just be more case off not feeling comfortable with stranger sharing tube and our group agree to share with solo individual. But however poor solo individual did feel bit upset and solo individual did come to waterpark thinking they would able get on more rides solo and it’s fantastic park and staff were wonderful but just saying I do think might be worth while if there’s something on site before you pay online that’s it’s advise you come with partner to water park . Thanks for reading if you do and this is not complaint but I just wanted to put it out there to save people feeling disappointed if they come solo and might be better for them to not come solo and come other time when possible to have swimming partner with them . I would really appreciated if you could respond thanks .

We came on Saturday 4th of Jan on a hot day. The facilities were very clean and well maintained, the staff were diligent. Our young son loved the Junior area. Wait times were not too bad considering the amount of people at the water park. The food queues were at a minimum as I think a lot of people bring their own food. It was my first time here and I must say everything exceeded my expectations and i will definitely be back again
Ellena V — Google review
Absolute money making business- The queues are so long you spend most of the day waiting. Charging $15 to park your car, on top of an exorbitant entry fee. Overseas we paid $30 for entry to a waterpark with under 5 minutes waiting time, free parking, friendly staff who all took the time to make it enjoyable. Another water park we went to with inflatable course cost us just $3 each for the entire day. These prices are just ridiculous. Surely it must be closing down soon.

I’ve been to many water parks around the world and this one is beautiful. There are a lot of fun attractions and a decent size kids area. The wave pool is massive and the staff was very friendly! If you’re have an odd number of people in your group or coming solo, be warned there are not a lot of slides where you can ride alone.

We did the 90-minute beginners tour with our six-year-old and loved it! Bruce, our guide, was great – super knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of interesting little facts along the way. The route itself was perfect for beginners – calm, easy to follow, and with gorgeous scenery the whole way. It was such a fun and relaxed way to spend the morning, and even our little one managed it with no trouble. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something family-friendly and a bit different to do in Bundeena.

Bundeena Beach is a charming and relatively secluded beach located in the Royal National Park in Sydney, New South Wales. It's known for being a hidden gem, offering a more relaxed and natural alternative to Sydney's famous city beaches. Parking 🅿️ is a challenge! Reach early 😊 Here’s a quick guide to Bundeena Beach: Key Features & Vibe: · Secluded & Family-Friendly: It's not as crowded as Bondi or Manly, making it perfect for a peaceful day out. The water in the sheltered bay is often calm, ideal for swimming with children. · Gateway to the Royal National Park: The beach is the starting point for several famous coastal walks, including the Bundeena to Otford Walk which passes the stunning Figure Eight Pools. · Village Atmosphere: Bundeena itself is a small, artsy community. You'll find a few cafes, a pub, and art galleries, giving it a laid-back, village feel. · White Sand & Turquoise Water: The beach itself is a beautiful stretch of white sand with clear, inviting water.

My wife and I are getting Stand Up Paddle board lessons in preparation for an impending holiday with our kids. Great local knowledge and great instructions. We both managed to stand up after our first lesson. We’re going back to hire the boards, for a bit of extra practice. Highly recommended a lesson with Bundeena kayaks.

My husband and I booked a beginners guided tour with them and had an amazing experience we'll never forget. It was our first time ever trying kayaking and neither of us can swim that well. We had been thinking of taking it up for the longest of time but had been too afraid. Through their training and guidance, they made it feel so easy and so enjoyable that we have now become confident enough to go kayaking by ourselves. Thank you so much for helping us get over our fears and to actually enjoy the experience. Amazing team, amazing place, and everything was just perfect ❤️ PS: besides a kind and friendly guide we also got a personal photographer. Thanks Marnie for the tour and the beautiful photographs of us trying kayaking for the first time.

Something for all ages - farmyard, open kangaroo feeding area, Splash Park water fun, kids playground, plenty of seating and shade and excellent keeper talks. Cafe has quality food too.

One of the best wildlife zoo within close proximity of Sydney. Situated within natural bushland setting also contains a huge splash park for hot long days. Enjoy their animal talks and encounter. They've newly added penguins. You get taste chance to feed zoo animals and pat kangaroos. Oh yes, NRMA offers discounts on entry 👏

Great for children, we went on a very cold day and saw everything in about an hour and a half. Got to feed kangaroos and you can pet all of the farm animals. Great entertainment for kids and it looks like there is a lot of fun things to do when it’s a bit warmer

A highlight is the Sea Cliff Bridge, an architectural marvel that curves over the ocean, offering breathtaking views from its pedestrian walkway. While parts of the drive are narrow and winding, it provides stunning vistas of both the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding mountains. Visitors can walk the bridge, discover scenic lookouts like Stanwell Tops, and explore beautiful beaches and national parks, making it an ideal journey for all types of road trippers. Grand Pacific Drive Overview A Scenic Coastal Journey: The drive stretches 140km, offering a mix of rainforests, rugged cliffs, and pristine beaches, extending from the Royal National Park to the Shoalhaven region. Walkable and Scenic: A dedicated pedestrian walkway allows visitors to stroll along the bridge, taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding coastline.

🌊 Unforgettable Views on the Grand Pacific Drive 🌉 This place is truly breathtaking — a must-see on any trip! The Grand Pacific Drive stole my heart with its dramatic coastal views, winding cliffside roads, and the endless blue ocean stretching out to the horizon. What made it even more magical were the paragliders soaring above. Their colorful parachutes floating in the sky added a surreal touch. Watching them glide gracefully over the cliffs — it was like a dream. You can literally feel your breath catch from the beauty and the height. If you ever have the chance, don’t miss it. Just stop, take it all in, and let the moment live in your heart forever. 💙

Nan Tien Temple is a vast Buddhist complex offering classes, retreats, lodging, and a museum. The temple features a unique haunted house with mechanized animatronic dioramas depicting scenes from Buddhist hell. While it was once used to scare children into obedience, today it's more of a quirky religious attraction than genuinely frightening. Visitors can access the temple by public transport from Sydney, although the bus schedule in the area can be challenging.
Highly recommend visiting Nan Tien Temple! The environment is super peaceful and relaxing 🥹🥹🥹 a perfect place to slow down, whether you’re religious or not🥰🥰 I’ve joined their calligraphy, meditation, retreat and had their vegetarian food! all amazing experiences.also I volunteered few time, the venerables there are incredibly kind and warm😭😭 they always willing to listen and offer gentle guidance. Visited with our photography group and were genuinely impressed. Nan Tien Temple, located in Berkeley near Wollongong, is the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere—and you can feel the scale and serenity as soon as you step onto the grounds. Beautifully landscaped gardens, huge temple halls, an eight-storey pagoda, and sweeping views all contribute to a deeply peaceful atmosphere. Definitely set aside a few hours—there’s a lot to explore. A few tips: • No photography is allowed inside the shrines, ever. This isn’t clearly mentioned on the website, so best to know ahead. • That said, there are loads of fantastic photo opportunities outside—gardens, architecture, statues, and pagodas. It’s a dream for outdoor photography. • Shoes are allowed inside the main temple building, which is unusual compared to many other countries where it’s strictly no shoes. • Plenty of parking, and a small café on-site for snacks or tea. We’re planning to go back in spring when the gardens are in full bloom—it’ll be even more photogenic.

The Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong is one of the most breathtaking cultural and spiritual landmarks in Australia. Known as the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere, it immediately impresses with its beautiful design and Chinese-inspired architecture. From the moment you arrive, the sweeping roofs, ornate gateways, and intricate detailing transport you into a space that feels both majestic and serene. ✨ Architecture & Atmosphere The temple’s architecture draws heavily from traditional Chinese Buddhist styles, with curved tiled roofs, carved timberwork, and statues that embody harmony and balance. Its grand halls, pagodas, and courtyards are laid out with careful symmetry, creating an atmosphere of calm and reverence. Every corner feels purposeful, designed to invite reflection and peace. 🌿 Green, Spacious & Healing What makes Nan Tien Temple especially captivating is its spacious, green surroundings. Set against rolling hills, the temple grounds are filled with manicured gardens, flowering plants, and tranquil pathways. The air feels lighter here, and the landscape offers a natural sense of healing. Whether you’re walking past lotus ponds, sitting under trees, or admiring flower beds in bloom, the environment encourages mindfulness and rest. 🕊️ A Place for Renewal Beyond its physical beauty, Nan Tien Temple is an amazing place for healing and reflection. Many visitors describe the experience as uplifting, whether they attend a meditation session, explore the art and cultural exhibits, or simply sit quietly in the courtyards. The combination of sacred architecture, natural beauty, and peaceful energy makes it a sanctuary for anyone seeking calm and renewal. ⸻ ✅ In short: Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong is a stunning blend of Chinese-inspired architecture and natural serenity. With its spacious gardens, flowering landscapes, and healing atmosphere, it’s more than just a temple—it’s a place to pause, breathe, and reconnect with peace.
