SO hot, not a lot of shade. Excellent snorkelling around the shipwrecks, but be honest with yourself about how strong a swimmer you are.

Moreton Island is absolutely incredible. We spent hours snorkelling at the Tangalooma Reef and exploring the shipwrecks—such a unique experience. Driving over to Cape Moreton Lighthouse gave us some amazing views, and the whole island felt like an untouched paradise. Highly recommend visiting for a few days if you can!

Came with the one day trip 3 activities included. Directly purchased with resort website. The ticket includes food and beverages. Worth the money. But the day lounge was not much facilities. Recommend doing the snorkeling before the paddle/kayak

Too bad we arrived the beach after heavy rains otherwise I believed this serene long-stretched beach must be very beautiful with colorful water colors. Pictures were taken at noon time but the sky was so dark. The beach also had a wrecked house at the end fallen into the sea.

Good vacation for family on a tight number of days. Would recommend 2 nights at max and l plan activities like snorkelling, swimming quad bike. Most busy days are wed and sat. But given it’s busy also all activities would run unlike them being on maintainance on other non busy days so the fun of being there to explore is lost!!

This island is situated in the Moreton bay and approx. two hour journey by ferry from Brisbane main land. I visited this place in 2016. A beautiful creation of nature amidst turquoise water. The Ferry journey is itself enjoyable. You must not to forget carrying hat/ umbrella along with sun screen as on the deck the sun light is intense. We took a daylong package that includes pick up from our service apartment, , ferry journey, buffet lunch and several activities in the island like: kayaking, snorkeling, jeep drive, sand tobogganing. It was a wonderful tour along with my colleagues and we had one of the best tour guides. we got back to Brisbane in the evening.

Our day on Moreton Island was truly amazing, with the guided snorkel tour of the Tangalooma wrecks being a definite highlight. We were incredibly grateful to Kyle for fitting us in, allowing us to experience the stunning underwater world filled with aquatic wildlife. Our guide, Sydney, was excellent—knowledgeable, patient, and ensured our group felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour. We saw so much incredible marine life, and it’s an experience we won't soon forget. While our direct experience with the tour team was fantastic, we did witness some restaurant staff at various island locations being rude to other guests. I want to be clear that this was not our personal experience with our tour or water sports team, who were nothing but friendly and helpful. However, it was noticeable and something I feel is worth mentioning. Despite this, the natural beauty and the exceptional snorkel tour made our visit worthwhile. We are already looking forward to returning to Moreton Island soon to explore more of what this beautiful place has to offer.

Totally in love with Brisbane River. The views is incredible, makes Brisbane CBD a beautiful world class city. Beautiful views along the riverside with the city skyline and beautiful residential. Regular ferries with friendly crew on board. Worth getting on and off the ferries to explore riverbank. The river winds through the city, you can travel via city cat along the river. There are plenty of places to explore with restaurants and cafes. Also a beautiful place to have a night walk, the river looks amazing during the night. The river has so many fantastic areas we have frequented regularly, from the sandy beach at Comslie, Bulimba, New Farm Park, the city, Riverside walkway, Gardens Point and Southbank. The bike and walking tracks are great. We now live on the river at Karana Downs, where the experience is very different and just as delightful. Trees, abundant bird life, great natural parks, from Barellan Point, Colleges Crossing, to the weir and Kholo Gardens. I've posted a few photos, starting from our place.

We took a CityCat ride from the North Quay terminal up to Bulimba and then back to South Bank. It was a beautiful boat ride along the Brisbane River, and it was definitely worth checking out. You will need a Translink GoCard to take the CityCat ride.

We visited in late December and enjoyed exploring the river by cruising on the Rivercat ferry. There are so many lovely areas to visit along the river, from beautiful open parkland areas to bustling restaurant and arts precincts. It is worth getting on and off the ferries to explore the riverbank. The most enjoyable part of exploring the river is the two hour trip downstream from Southbank to Hamilton and return. A great way to get a good perspective of Brisbane.

This river is nice. But I had a very strange dream about it. I had walked towards it and asked it a few questions. But my murky reflection in the brown water swore at me very harshly. Then I cried. When I woke up, I was so confused.

We visited Brisbane in June this year. We caught a boat to cruise the Brisbane River. The delightful views of Brisbane City Skylines made us truly happy indeed.

It rises in the Brisbane-Cooyar ranges and flows some 215 miles southeasterly and northeasterly through a farming and dairying region, then through the city of Brisbane to Moreton Bay. Its navigable for steamers below Brisbane and for small craft below Ipswich. With Ferry service. Historically, several catastrophic floods of the Brisbane River have occurred, notably in 1893 and 1974. Heavy rains in early 2011 caused the river to flood and to inundate several riverside communities, including large portions of Brisbane.

The light show was great but had no music when I was there

Redcliffe is a lovely place..We started at the Rsl for lunch then went for a walk on the jetty..It was great to see all the teenagers enjoying themselves jumping into the water..Then over to Bee Gees Way..How great is it..There are statues of them and information galore..There is seating so you can watch the short movie..I'm amazed how they can have all this and it's not vandalised..Must be a fantastic community..Lots of lovely shops..There is a English fish and chip shop that we'll be returning to next year..I did get a ice cream in the Big kids ice creamery and some English lollies in the confectionery shop..I'll be back..

My wife and I live near Redcliffe and I have visited this 'walk through' tribute to the Bee Gees- many, many times. Great music, good spoken commentary. Excellent visuals, including video of the BG's performing. Well worth a visit. Nearly forgot - " it's a 100% Free Attraction!

Nice place for a walk and recommend to have a look in case you're in Brisbane. Close are trendy bars and caffes, we spend like half of the day there around.

My six-year-old daughter loves to listen to Bee Gees music, and thanks for having this place, we had knowledge about Bee Gees now.

I'm so in love with this place. The view is outstanding. Its quite busy with alot of people biking and running along the water way. I have been here on multiple occasions to dine, drink or even just catch the city cat across the water. I plan to get an apartment here one day soon.

This is the central river hub where all the ferries come and where the riverboats live. It is a great location of restaurants and cafes overlooking the water. I saw the Riverboat office and did the Christmas lunch tour from here..

Great view of the river and story bridge. This is a much better place to see the New Year's Eve fireworks than the crowded southbank park.

Beautiful area! Within walking distance to the CBD and botanical gardens. Beautiful outlook over the river, with boats moored in front and Kangaroo Points cliffs towering up on the other side. The high rise architectural design here is phenominal. There are walking and bike tracks all along the river. The cafes here cater to the high class consumer with a diverse range of cultural gastronomy on offer (i.e.; latin, asian, western cuisine etc and coffee). Unfortunately the area lacks options for those on a lower budget. Otherwise it is a very pituresque area, well worth investigating!

A great area for entertainment & travelling over the Brisbane river! My girlfriend and I court the free ferry City hopper to Holeman Pier to go to the Storey Bridge! A very upmarket restaurant!

We were in Brisbane for medical reasons and had had a rough few days. Catching the City Cat was just what we needed. Joseph in particular was incredibly kind and funny and brightened our day. The crew made a big effort to help people and have genuine conversations. I was so grateful and impressed. If you’re like me and think “I’ll wing it and do the whole loop” be aware it’s really long and goes for more than 2 hours!!

City Cat Terminal South Bank like the other City Cat Terminal’s is great. Travelling to South Bank on a City Cat is the best option to get to South Bank. No hassle with parking, as well as riding on the Brisbane River. The staff are always helpful when notifications on the stop that’s approaching. Staff are helpful with any questions that you may have. Jump on a City Cat to South Bank and enjoy the ride.

Bossy staff, only letting 8 people on the ferry at a time (although the ferry offered much more seats). We waited for half an hour and then still didn't get on the ferry, so we decided to take the bus instead. Bit disappointing. Place was clean though and offered enough seats in the waiting area.

Great trip on the river around the city. Nice new and clean stations, friendly staff, clean and tidy ferry's. BUT NO WAY TO BUY A TICKET. You've got services, crew on board, lighting and power just put in a kiosk where you can purchase a go card. Extremely frustrating when you are travelling from interstate. This is a review of the CityCats rather than this particular CityCat terminal- which is all much the same. Riding a CityCat is a must for any visitor to Brisbane and a surprisingly rewarding experience for locals. This is the ultimate way to see the variety of Brisbane lifestyle, buildings and landmarks in a relatively inexpensive and easy to use service. Depending on how much have, you can explore Brisbane from the quiet rescue residential area of St Lucia to the busy reaches of the Brisbane river around Hamilton. The CityCat is part of the TransLink network so you use your GoCard or [or it’s soon to be introduced Smart Ticketing] Simply tap on and ride the CityCat for the entire round trip. For example, if you get on at South Bank, go upstream to the University of Qld, stay on the boat and then go right to Hamilton, stay on the boat and return to South Bank. That round would trip will take about two hours and 40 minutes all up. The off-peak cost for an adult at the time of writing is $3.37. But you can jump on and off and off and if you get back on without an hour it is considered as a continuation of your journey for the one fare. The new generation of CityCats has a top deck that you ride on. Otherwise, the front or rear decks provide an exhilarating experience. The best place I’ve ever been to. The kind of place that makes your heart happy just by looking at nature. We went there when it was raining, and it was so beautiful that we couldn’t stop admiring the greenery. I absolutely loved this place and would love to visit again.

A very good place to view the entire Brisbane city. Super view from the watch tower. It is recommended to bring food on your own or there is a restaurant which has been and food items but costly. The parking looks free. But I need to check again. Rest everything is good. Nice place to relax. I went at night and the view was amazing. Feels like sitting in an aircraft and flying too close on top of a metropolitan city. I couldn't identify any locations on my first visit. But I liked it a lot. Using good binoculars are highly recommended on locations like this. Here I'm uploading some views from here during the night.

The Mount Coo-tha summit lookout has sweeping views over Brisbane city. There's ample parking. The lookout is wheelchair ♿️ friendly. Next to the lookout is The Summit cafe and restaurant which is quite nice for a coffee ☕️ and sweet treat, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Beautiful view of the Brisbane City! One of wonderful lookouts in Brisbane. Only downside to this place is that there are not many seats at the foyer to sit and enjoy the view.

One of the famous spots to visit in Brisbane. This place is accessible with public transport. You can catch a bus here from the city. This is the place where you can see the views of Brisbane City from top. Nonetheless, there is not much to see besides the city views. The views might not be the best, but it is also because we came in the afternoon. Based on other reviews, it’s best to come here during sunrise or sunset to see a more breathtaking view of the city from top.

Easy to reach using private or public transport from the QBD. The venue hosts different species not just koalas but also Kangaroos, crocodiles, reptiles, birds. For the welfare of animals koalas cannot be hugged but guests can pay more to see them closer and cuddle them with the supervision of staff. Everybody working seemed professional and committed to preserve the welfare of the animals. A bit pricy, but considering what you get it is still worth a visit.

A must-visit in Brisbane! Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is an amazing experience where you can get up close with koalas, kangaroos, and so many native Australian animals. The park is well-maintained, staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the animals are clearly well cared for. Loved the chance to see a koala up close and feed the kangaroos such a memorable experience for locals and visitors alike!

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is a must-visit considering it's status as the world's first, oldest, and largest koala sanctuary in the world. It was truly a special experience seeing and interacting with the koalas and kangaroos up close especially in the huge free-roam area where the kangaroos were. The park is very well-maintained, with a number of other sections with a variety of other insects and animals. Definitely worth a visit if ever in Brisbane!

Is a fantastic place to visit, you can be with the Kanguru and give them a special food. if you pay a little more you can touch the koala for some minutes and take pretty nice pictures. The sanctuary space is beautiful with a very good structure, with birds, crocodile and more.

Amazing place to visit if you want to get up close and personal with Australia's (more friendly) wildlife. Got to feed Wallabies and kangaroos and saw loads more as well. Visited via the river cruise from the city and that was a great way to do it. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Brisbane.

Fantastic for the whole family. The owl encounter far exceeded my expectations. Leanne and the team have so much knowledge and really know how to respect the animals and also have them guided over in a way that they seemed to be genuinely having fun. Beautiful lay out, and the Koalas were so very special.

Excellent experience kangaroos can be fed. The Tasmanian Devil looks soft but look at those jaws and teeth. Koala are always good to watch. So is the Platypus we saw a central python as well as all the other birds and animals. Well worth the entry fee. You may want to get there early before the crowds come in we went on a week day and by lunch time there were people everywhere

Have been here many times. Great place to catch up with friends for some lunch . We had a chicken Caesar salad and a ham and salad sandwich. Both were delicious 🤤. Only one thing that was a bit disappointing was the bread on the sandwich was definitely not fresh. The filling was great. Look, I think I will over look it this time because it’s normally pretty good. The staff were really helpful. Service is always good.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, the location and view also great. The iced chocolate and coffee were also good. However, I wouldn’t recommend the carrot cake muffin, the dough is fine and it’s nice that they utilise various spices instead of just cinnamon, but the icing just doesn’t match and tastes a bit strange.

Demi, Miranda, the young bloke, (sorry didn't ask his name; next time) and team, were welcoming, down to earth, provided country hospitality and delicious well priced hot choccy with marshmallows and melting moment cookie, yum! They have an extensive food and drink menu. I give them 6 stars and a beautiful park to look out on from the side deck seating area or any part of the cafe deck.

Queens Park Cafe & Kiosk is a lovely spot for a casual outing. The location is perfect—right in the park, with plenty of greenery and space to relax. The café offers a good selection of food and drinks, from light snacks to hearty meals, all reasonably priced. Service is friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor seating makes it great for families and kids. It’s also very convenient to grab something quick from the kiosk while enjoying a walk in the park. Overall, a great place to enjoy good food in a beautiful, relaxing setting.

Nice looking place but dont expect cheap food, everything is like bloody expensive, $30 for a bloody steak burger. not somewhere I'll come again, too rich fir a pensioner. And this is $7.50 worth of chips, lucky if its 1 potato very disappointed.

Went here on the weekend and spent $100 for a meal for 4 people. The service was good and food came out extremely fast. I tried to get some toast with two sides but they don’t do side with toast. Weird. So I added it to another meal on the table and got it on a different plate. First time ever I couldn’t order toast with sides at a cafe. $4 for a side of beans that was less than a tablespoon of beans (see pic on my saucer with teaspoon). What is that about?

We came a long way to visit the area and have a take away lunch from this cafe. For $30 we were absolutely appalled with the size of the “Fisherman’s Basket”. One small piece of fish, two calamari, less than a palm size of chips and a small bland salad which included two old pieces of tomato. Highly disappointed and shocked at the cost for a measly sized meal. Do not recommend.

It’s Movie World, what more can I say. Well… for those wishing to read on… it’s a brilliant place. To get my only major ‘knock’ out of the way, it’s the lines. They’re a pain in the …., especially when you have young kids waiting. But hey, it’s Movie World. Several rides were closed which was a shame so helpful tip - download the App before attending and it’ll tell you which rides are offline and what each rides wait time is. Very handy. We took our own food to save some $$$ however from what we saw it was reasonably priced. Sincehaving attending in previous years, the overall place does seem to have lost a little of its vibe. Not as many people / characters dressed up, some shops and displays closed, and the usually fantastic street parade was a little lacklustre compared to other times we’ve seen it. With that all said, overall, awesome day out!

We had a fantastic day at Movie World! The rides were exciting and so much fun absolutely loved DC roller coaster 🎢 . The Hollywood Stunt Driver show was an absolute highlight, full of energy and impressive action. The character parade added a nice touch to the experience too. The only downside was the limited vegan and vegetarian food options, which made it a bit hard to find suitable meals during the day. Hopefully, they’ll add more variety in the future. Overall, it’s a great day out filled with fun rides, shows, and entertainment!

Must visit if you are in Gold Coast. There are rides for every age. Driving school is my kids favourite. We were there during non-school holidays. Even that, the waiting times for the popular rides were averagely around 30mins. Can't imagine how it would be during the school holidays. Maybe it's worth getting the fast track pass at $121 to speed things up. But be aware, you can only use it ONCE per ride. At least you get to decide which ride you wanna spend time queueing up again for a second round. I don't think you can possibly finish trying all the rides in a day without the fast pass. It can get really sunny during the queueing up. If you don't wanna get sunburn or tanned, prepare some UV protection - UV parka etc. Wild West Falls Adventure Ride should be improved to have shelves for riders to keep their bulky belonging prior to the ride. We were required to carry everything along. I was so worried that my belongings would fly out from my handbag! The most thrilling ride is the DC Rivals. Seriously the best rollercoaster ride I've ever had! Green lantern is awesome too. We had a blast! Thanks for the fun!

The characters aren’t just for kids—they make the whole park feel alive, and I’ll admit I couldn’t resist stopping for photos. Of course, the rides are every bit as unforgettable. The DC Rivals HyperCoaster is the crown jewel—tall, fast, and absolutely relentless. The first drop had my stomach in my throat, but by the time I got off I was grinning ear to ear. The Superman Escape and other thrill rides keep the adrenaline going, so you’ve always got something to look forward to between character encounters. Movie World is the rare kind of theme park that balances high-energy thrills with Hollywood magic. For me, it was the perfect mix—racing down roller coasters one minute, then running into Superman the next. If you’re after big rides and a bit of movie magic, this place delivers both in spades.

This location offers an excellent visitor experience, featuring impressive production sets and exhilarating rides. The motor stunts are a particular highlight, providing an authentic portrayal of a scripted stunt narrative. While the overall experience was positive, it did not surpass Universal Studios Singapore.

Fantastic day out. Facilities and assistance for people with disabilities is excellent. Make sure to go to guest services for all the information. The parade was a bit disappointing. Needs more glitz, glamor and more excitement. It was very short. Overall, our family had a wonderful time.

Nice park, not too big, but definitely has some great rides like the Joker one. Unfortunately, almost half of the park was closed when we were there and the ticket was still full price. Anyway, great little park, and the new rides and theme is very nice!

I had an amazing time with the kids, watching their faces light up as they saw dolphins perform for the first time. My kids were full of excitement exploring the penguin exhibit and learning about marine life in a fun, hands-on way. The kids were thrilled to interact so closely with the animals. The rides and shows kept everyone engaged, creating a perfect mix of adventure and education. It was a joyful and memorable day, filled with laughter, learning, and shared moments of wonder by the sea.

We had a really good time at Sea World! The park is clean, well maintained, and easy to get around. The seal and dolphin shows were definitely the highlight entertaining, informative, and beautifully done. It was lovely to see how well the animals are cared for. The only downside was the food options there were very limited vegan and vegetarian choices, which made it a bit tricky to find something suitable for lunch. Hopefully, they can expand their plant-based menu in the future. Overall, a great experience for families and anyone who enjoys marine life and fun shows!

Spent the day at SeaWorld recently, and enjoyed it. Liked all the shows, especially the dolphin one! Was grateful that they had a proper sit-down restaurant that served health food. My husband and I both had the bowl each. which was as delicious as it was nutritious 😋 We were disappointed with the water ski show though. Gone were the impressive multi-acrobatic moves. All we saw this time was a show between two rival gangs and some boring stunts. We also did the helicopter ride. The 10 minute deal is the best in my opinion. The pilot was very informative; he doubled up as the tour guide Overall SeaWorld was a great experience 😃

Had the best time at Sea World! Every ride was so much fun and well worth the wait. Loved the dolphin shows they were amazing! The place was clean, well-organized, and perfect for all ages. Truly one of the best theme parks I’ve been to. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the Gold Coast!

Sea World is truly one of our favourite family destinations on the Gold Coast! We had an unforgettable day filled with fun, learning, and amazing marine life encounters. The dolphin and seal presentations were absolutely incredible, such talented animals and dedicated trainers! The park is beautifully maintained, clean, and easy to get around. There’s a great mix of attractions for both kids and adults — from the exciting rides to the relaxing lagoon areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone felt welcome and safe. It’s the perfect place to create lasting memories with the family. We can’t wait to come back again soon!

Love it there. So many things to try although some places are not open. Like Atlantis ride and Donatello ride. I have to say, baby Penguins are the cutest around haha. When you get to lunch watch out for Seagulls. Yes!.. theyll snatch your food in a instant There are sharks too, they did a wonderful job in conservation as well. Hate to say it but I got on Bikini bottom rides - Patrick the starfish, School bus because to me that is the safest ride. Have a peak at your theme park pass app they will tell you exactly the time for each performance. It does make you trip there memorable.

Sea World on the Gold Coast is a fantastic destination for families with kids. It’s incredibly family-friendly, and there’s something fun for everyone. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole park feels safe and well-managed. The dolphin show and stunt performances were absolutely unforgettable – both entertaining and impressive! Every attraction we tried was fun and engaging, from the animal exhibits to the rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend the day with your family. Highly recommended!

Surfers Paradise Beach continues to live up to its name — a true slice of coastal beauty that still shines, even after the recent tsunami event. We visited just a few weeks ago, curious (and slightly concerned) about how the beach would be, but honestly, it’s holding its charm and energy better than expected. The beach is clean, wide, and absolutely stunning. Golden sands stretch endlessly, and the turquoise-blue waves are as inviting as ever. Lifeguards are stationed frequently along the shore, which gives a good sense of safety for families and tourists alike. Despite the natural event that hit earlier in the year, the beach has bounced back impressively — there’s a sense of resilience and calm that’s comforting to see. The vibe is still alive and well. You’re steps away from cafes, shops, and restaurants, so it’s easy to grab a drink or bite and head right back to the water. Sunrise and sunset walks are magical here, especially with the skyline rising just behind you. Nature can test even the most iconic places, but Surfers Paradise Beach has held its ground with grace. It’s still one of the most beautiful and enjoyable beaches in Australia — peaceful, vibrant, and deeply refreshing. Whether you’re here to swim, surf, or simply soak up the sun, this beach remains a must-visit. It’s a symbol of strength and beauty that continues to welcome all with open arms.

I love traveling, but I think this was the most beautiful sea I’ve seen so far. It was so transparent, clean, and blue—and not too deep, so everyone could enjoy it. I don’t know how to swim, but it was perfect just to dip my feet in. The sand was sooo soft, you wouldn’t even want to wear shoes.

Our recent family excursion to Sky Point provided an exceptional experience. The panoramic vistas from the 77th floor were truly awe-inspiring, and we were pleased to discover that the coffee and food prices were surprisingly reasonable. Contrary to our initial expectations, the cost was comparable to that of a standard restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise. The breathtaking scenery, coupled with the rapid elevator service, contributed to a memorable and gratifying experience. We anticipate revisiting Sky Point on our next trip.

SkyPoint was absolutely worth visiting! The 360° views of the coastline, city, and hinterland are stunning — especially around sunset. It’s such a great spot to take photos and really appreciate how beautiful the Gold Coast is. There’s also a nice café and bar at the top, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the view a bit longer. The staff were friendly, and the elevator ride up was super fast. Highly recommend adding this to your Gold Coast itinerary!

SkyPoint is a must-visit attraction, Especially if you’re chasing those magical sunset views over the Gold Coast. The timing of your visit makes a big difference, as the crowds tend to build up in the late afternoon leading into sunset. When we arrived at around 4:30pm on a weekday, it was already quite busy, with plenty of visitors waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon and capture that perfect photo. 📷 One thing worth noting is that seating can be a bit of a challenge. The seats near the windows are in high demand, as everyone wants the best vantage point for both the views and the experience. It works on a first come, first served basis, so if you want a prime spot, it’s best to arrive earlier than you think you need to. Many people settle in with drinks and snacks and simply enjoy the atmosphere while waiting for the main event — the sunset. 🌇 Despite the crowds, the overall vibe was enjoyable. The bar staff were reliable, friendly, and handled the rush smoothly, which made the experience more relaxed. We also tried the SkyPoint signature cocktail, which is highly recommended if you’re visiting. 🍹 The combination of stunning views, refreshing drinks, and a lively yet comfortable setting made our visit memorable

We visited SkyPoint and went up to the 77th floor — the view of the Gold Coast was absolutely beautiful! It was an interesting and enjoyable experience. There’s also a restaurant and bar where you can have drinks while enjoying the view. Overall, a great experience.

Our experience at the SkyPoint Observation Deck was truly wonderful, even though our visit took an unexpected turn. Just five minutes into our meal, we faced a sudden family emergency that left us distressed and unsure of what to do. Nicole was absolutely incredible. Her calm, caring, and attentive support made all the difference during a very frightening moment. She went above and beyond to help us, ensuring we had everything we needed and offering comfort when we needed it most. Despite the circumstances, we are deeply grateful for the kindness shown to us. The service, the atmosphere, and especially Nicole’s compassion made a difficult situation a little easier to navigate. We were time bound and this is the best way to see the whole coast line. Great way to spend some time and they have a very large cafe with lots of options to sit and enjoy your time. Also parking is free which is a bonus. Loved it 🥂

Coolangatta is such a great place! And of course, the beach is beautiful as well! You can enjoy the view of the Gold Coast skyline while you swim or just walk along the trail and it is just breathtaking! The beach is also not overcrowded and was not destroyed much by the cyclone so its landscape is well kept! Together with the overall vibe of Coolangatta it just gives chill vibes, much different compared to Surfers Paradise but I actually like this more! This place is just less commercialized and more vacation-type of style! Come on a sunny day and you'll be amazed

Cooly is my FAVOURITE beach on the Gold Coast! Been going for years as it’s the perfect proximity to shops, cafes and restaurants and retail galore along the strip! Has everything you need within walking distance, and the beach is a hidden gem that looks as though you have walked into some unknown paradise. Just next door is Greenmount where it’s a beautiful place for a picturesque picnic, and you can go for a lovely walk on the pathway that takes you on a scenic route. Beach is fantastic for kids as at low tide a natural pool forms that is not dangerous waves and for those that want to surf, you can peter out into the waves. We holiday there every year and it’s the best time of me, my husband and kids lives. I could rave about it for ages, but let’s just say you won’t regret going for a day trip thru summer or a holiday 💞

beautiful white sand beach, plenty of parking spaces, shops just cross road. it's very interesting to view in distance that the bottom level of buildings in Surfers Paradise, are blow sea level.

In the late afternoon near evening, you can clearly see the waves and sea reflecting sunlights, which is very bright but beautiful.

Coolangatta Beach is just a great place to visit and spend quality time with the family relaxing, swimming, building sand castles or just enjoying sitting and let the fresh sea air cool you. I came to the beach with my family today my first visit and I know it will not be my last. What a great place to spend time with my Grandchildren it was such a delight. The water is a beautiful colour whereever you look and there is plenty of beach not to be over crowded with people. Just a great place to be and have fun. There are lots of Cafes and Shops if sitting on the beach isn't your thing but for me the sand is just perfect. I would definitely recommend a visit.

The Natural Bridge circuit walk (about an hour) is absolutely stunning! The highlight is the beautiful natural rock bridge glowing in the sunshine with a waterfall flowing gently beneath it — the water sparkles in the light and creates such a peaceful atmosphere. The walk itself is easy and scenic, surrounded by lush greenery. Plenty of parking available, making it very accessible. A truly calming and magical spot to visit.

What an absolutely breathtaking place, well worth the winding roads. The drive itself is phenomenal, the locations is amazing. It took us less than 20 minutes to do the entire walk, but we stopped and admired the views along the way. If you are wanting to do something outside of the attractions when in the Gold Coast, make sure to take the time to head up here and stop at The View cafe at Hinz Dam on your way back 😊

Lovely walk through the forest before getting to the waterfall. Saw lots of wildlife including lizards and snakes. The waterfall and cave itself were beautiful. Tip for you if you lean back over the railing and look for a hole in the ceiling you may even spot a few glow worms, even in the day. The walk was absolutely lovely and the environment was beautiful.

5 of us took a quick walk around the track here. Really nice scenery as you head down all of the stairs and across the bridge. About half way through you come across the waterfall from a few different perspectives. Really nice spot inside the cafe to admire the scenery. In all it probably took us about 45 mins, with a few stops to take everything in. No real picnic spots that we could see but there were public toilets.

Absolutely stunning short walk, with breathtaking views of the waterfall into the cave system. The walk to the falls is quite easy, with views from the top of the falls and from within the cave. Plenty of photo opportunities throughout, with the walk likely busy during peak times. Plenty of parking available, and toilet facilities near the entrance.

Great spot for an easy hike — about an hour walk, not too hard. The cave and waterfall are stunning. Watch out for carpet pythons though!

Such a beautiful gallery, we accidentally found it. I have wanted to visit Margaret Olley Gallery since it opened in 2014. I wasn't disappointed at all. The essence of Margaret Olley is presented well here, and one can feel Margaret Olley in her rooms.

If I could give this gallery 10 stars I would. We went on a Sunday morning and joined the 11.30am tour with Hella. Wonderfully comprehensive, starting with Margaret Olley’s house recreation. And going on to a curated wall including a Monet and 3 Margaret Olley originals! A Monet in Murwillumbah! You can even buy a book bag with this on it. Fantastic gallery, incredible views, great location, and it’s free. Take a jumper, it’s absolutely freezing in the gallery and you won’t want to rush through as there’s so much to see. We went to Murwillumbah for lunch afterwards, I’d recommend you check the open times if you have a particular cafe in mind, we got caught out being a Sunday afternoon. I’ve seen the Margaret Olley Archibald Prize winning portrait when it was at GOMA in Brisbane, but now it feels like she has made her way to her rightful home at the Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre. Highly, highly recommend. I’ll be going back.

Must visit art gallery if you’re in Murwillumbah or in Gold Coast. Interesting to see the special exhibition dedicated to Olle. Despite not being an artist, i love to visit art gallery where i am from. There is so much knowledge to learn from each masterpiece at every art gallery i have been visiting.

Visited gallery today. It's an amazing gallery with spectacular views across the river & area. Exhibitions hung at present are well worth the trip. Ben Quilty Archibald Margaret Ollie portrait an amazing addition. Truely a gem of culture in the middle of the bush. Well worth the trip from anywhere. Do yourself a favour.

Visited for the first time. Fantastic regional gallery. The replica of Margaret Olley’s Paddington home was really interesting and gave an insight into this Aussie character. Well worth a visit! Ben Quilty’s Archibald portrait of Olley was a personal highlight. Items from the National Gallery currently on display including Monet’s Haysatcks, midday was a nice surprise.

Great place. They recreated Margaret Olley's place exactly how it was. Over 21000 items moved and put back to how when she lived in the house. Awesome exhibition.

This walking track is a wonderful experience for nature lover. If you are visiting during July - November you can enjoy seeing whales and dolphins from the view points there. The place is clean and have drinking water facilities and washrooms too. You can reach the most easterly point of Australia mainland from the walking track. View of the ocean is amazing. I had a wonderful time there, watching waves and listening to bird songs..❤️

Just beautiful. The loop is 3,6km or 4,2 if you do the last little bit in trail. Obviously touristy, but we did in winter with good weather and not many people were there. Just at the lighthouse was a bit more, but still extremely enjoyable. Definitely worth it. We spotted many whales and dolphins

Sensational. Absolutely sensational. Oh… it was a bloody challenge and not for those with knee or back issues but it was a GREAT walk! Dragged 4 kids along who managed the walk we did from ‘The Pass’ to the lighthouse and back. Many steps. Steep gradients. Lots of chairs and rest stop areas along the way. Very glad we did it if only this section. Saw lizards, koalas, and whales!!!!!!!!

We walked the Cape Byron Walking track circuit, starting at the Palm Valley carpark. The track up to the most easterly point and the lighthouse hugs the coastline. The track is fully paved and concreted up to the Lighthouse, with steps and some steep inclines. There are many places to stop and catch your breath if needed. We experienced incredible views and we lost count of the amount of whales frolicking in the waters, near and a far. There is a small cafe at the top and toilets as well. On the way back we continued on to the Tallow Ridge track. This track is not paved and whilst the views are not out to the ocean, the rainforest is beautiful to walk through. There are stairs, as well as flat bush tracks. This part of the track could be a little slippery in the wet. A much quieter track and a beautiful walk. The Tallow Ridge track may be a little hard for smaller children due to the steepness of some of the stair heights.

We enjoyed the Cape Byron Walking Track. The views were stunning, and the path was well-kept and easy to follow. I stopped at a few lookouts and just soaked it all in. A great spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some amazing ocean scenery.

A beautiful sea view walk. Make sure you look out for the dolphins or whales that I believe swim around the bays. I saw some cool wildlife and the views from the lighthouse are beautiful. It’s a bit of a difficult walk and contains some steep stairs but worth it if you can manage.

For those new to the area, pay no attention to the "Open/Closed" indicator within Google Maps for this location!! It's simply a very nice and well maintained coastal track with great views and without entrance gates -- so it's always open! It even has a very nice (unexpected) cafe along the track called "The Pass Cafe"!

Nice little cafe with a good cuppa. We had a ham cheese tomato croissant that was quite good and a carrot cake that was pretty tasty. Now what makes this place special is quite obviously the view. One of the most iconic views in Australia. Beautiful. You have to be quite lucky to get parking g but it is available. Very nice that they have the tables outside to enjoy the view. Nice touch.

The views from this lighthouse are definitely worth the 8 dollars we paid for parking. You get a full 360° of amazing scenery and there is a lovely little hill walk too. The coffee shop is delightful too! They do fresh gelato ice cream which is exactly what you need to cool down after the walk.

Absolutely beautiful! The food was delicious and the coffee was AMAZING. seriously the best coffee in Byron bay and such a reasonable price. The manager Sian and her sister are absolutely beautiful and so kind. Love that they are a family ran business and locals! Their sister cafe is also The Pass Cafe which I can not wait to try. 1000/10 the best cafe!

The redeeming feature of this cafe is the spectacular views! The coffee, latte and scone were mediocre. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. The car park attendant was quite rude and officious. It would be good for the frontline person to be friendly and welcoming.

Walked up with my water bottle, immediately told to go outside to fill it up which is fine but one of the ladies working, I could not understand what she was saying and she was pointing around the corner (the water fountain was straight ahead). Then I finally realised where she meant and heard the other lady say “open your eyes” and they both laughed….. SORRY but I could’ve found it quicker if your coworker wasn’t babbling while speaking and had just given me clear direction. Got annoyed at me when it was her coworkers fault that I started to go the wrong way. I work in hospitality I know how frustrating it can get especially when a customer can’t find something but I’d never say something rude like that out loud in front of them. So rude! Also I was planning on grabbing something to eat but nevermind! Maybe next time you go to talk poorly about or to a customer keep your voice down😁

Popped in for a quick snack and beverage when viewing the lighthouse. Surprisingly…. Wasn’t expensive, had great food and the view is just sensational! Strong recommend from me!!!

Sensational views. Chance of spotting dolphins and whales. Sunrise is a must. Moderate walk up there. Not really much parking available (cost involved) so most people walk or ride half way. Nice little cafe for coffee and iceream althought staff a little rude. Free entry to actually go up and have a look from top of the lighthouse by volunteer guides.

A gorgeous working farm with so much to offer. Lots of local produce, fresh cut flowers, plants, a cafe, ice creamery and restaurant on site. We visited as a couple, but so much to see for kids and families too. Lots of open green spaces, the opportunity to sign up for hands-on, educational sessions or just wander around taking it all in with a coffee. We took home a ready made meal, cheese, wine and small goods for a platter. Don't miss this, a must do in Byron.

We visited over the weekend and arrived around 7:30am—already about 70% of the car park was full, so it's clearly a popular spot. We didn’t join a tour and instead wandered around the farm with our dog on-leash. The farm is well signed, making it easy to navigate on your own. There’s a great variety of farm animals, a lovely macadamia orchard, and other produce to explore. We grabbed a coffee, lemon meringue tart, Portuguese tart, ham and cheese croissant, and a jar of mixed nuts along with fresh eggs. The food was great—though prices are on the higher side, which is expected for a tourist-oriented location. The older lady at the cashier was polite and courteous. However, the younger staff around the coffee area were less helpful. I felt I was treated differently, being asked to wait outside for my order while others were clearly allowed to wait inside. It was disappointing and felt discriminatory. The service here could definitely be improved.

The food was absolutely delightful. Our gluten free options tasted fresh and flavourful. Walking around The Farm, after our meal at the Three Blue Ducks, was lovely. There were so many happy chooks and cute sheep, goats, cows, and many other farm creatures.

Great access to animals at no charge. Ducks, chickens, goats and sheep. Farm shop, ice cream shop and restaurant prices were very steep but to be expected at a touristy hotspot. We didn't eat there or buy anything but just a place to stretch our legs on the trip from Brisbane to Byron Bay

We have visited The Farm a few times. We dined in the restaurant again and the specials were spectacular, the porchetta was delicious. The service was also outstanding. The takeaway pasteries from the bakery were a little underwhelming but overall a lovely visit. The restaurant cuisine and service was outstanding. We will be back.

An interesting place for dining off the busy area of Byron. Pleasant surroundings- farm style as the name indicates. Service was good, staffs were friendly and the food was delectable. Careful if you’re sitting on the outside area as you will have birds as guests.. We were there on a weekday so there was no live band.

Perfect day out! We made our own picnic in the cafe onsite and enjoyed it at one of the picnic tables. After that we explored the farm and visited some of the farm animals. Great space for the whole family. The food is all delicious! Highly recommend!

Stopped here for a break on our way back to Sydney. There's so much to do here for all ages, you could spend the whole day here! It's one giant fun park! The souvenir shop is packed with all sorts of goodies ranging from hats, soft toys, cups, pens, stickers, key rings, fridge magnets, t-shirts, stationary items, tea towels etc. Cafe has a good variety of hot and cold food, drinks, milkshakes, and snacks. Plenty of parking.

An entire day well spent last wk. Bought the Ultimate Pass for the family online. Rocked up before ticket box/activities opened to get a good car park. Thankfully, NSW school holidays hadn't yet started so wasn't too busy. Took the entire day to be able to experience all activities included in the Ultimate Pass, including saving the Arcade Room till after 4pm when all other areas had closed. Only downers were: 1 the expensive meals, 2 the Toboggan wasn't open, and 3 the ice skates were too narrow. Even after going up a size, had to regularly sit down and take the weight off. Will need to return when the Toboggan opens.

We had an awesome day at The Big Banana Fun Park – fantastic facilities, plenty of fun, and most of the staff were absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, our experience was dampened by an encounter with the café manager, Tanya. I have a coconut allergy, and I could clearly detect traces of coconut (likely from cross-contamination with previous flavours). Rather than showing any concern, understanding, or basic duty of care, Tanya was immediately hostile, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. She refused to offer a replacement, refund, or even acknowledge the potential seriousness of the situation, and her attitude was both unprofessional and unacceptable, especially for someone in a managerial position. As former café owners, we know exactly what good customer service looks like and this was the complete opposite. In any hospitality setting, especially when it comes to allergies, empathy and responsibility are non-negotiable. Thankfully, duty manager James went above and beyond to resolve the situation. He handled everything with professionalism, ensured we were looked after, and even gave my little one a bag of bananas for the long trip home to Brisbane - such a thoughtful gesture! It’s thanks to the rest of the fantastic team members and James’ outstanding service that this review is 4 stars instead of 1. They truly turned a negative situation into a positive experience, and we’re incredibly grateful for their care and professionalism. 👏🍌

Timed season / play time can we , depending on numbers, well worth it or a little disappointing. Wait times for a slide can exceed 30min or so. Given 2 hours, 2 - 4 slides can be a maximum. But for smaller kids or kids who enjoy the splash area, 2 hours for the price is well worth it. There is a lot to do overall at the big banana if you have the time and the funds. But it is definitely worth visiting If your not willing to wait a while, or pay the price for meals, its easily enough to bring your own.

This is a perfect fun park for the family with kids, as parents can join with them and have fun. I saw the kids really enjoying all the rides . However, if you are solo, or young couple without kids you guys may feel boredom as there is nothing to make your adrenaline rushing. Adults, they surely enjoy the self guided tour through the banana plantations. Staff are really courteous, good accessibility from highway, ample parking facilities are really good.

If you are visiting Coffs harbour and travelling with kids... this is where you want to be! There is a plethora of fun activities and games especially for the kids here. Of course, if you are enthusiastic about banana trees/plantation etc then there's plenty here for adults too. We stopped by here for a short visit during our road trip from QLD to Melbourne. It was amazing to see the kids enjoying themselves especially in the gaming arcade area. Souvenir shop, cafe and clean wash rooms are also available here along with plenty of free parking.

My Wife and myself visited the Banana Plantation here was a self guided tour that took about 30 minutes, where you see all the banana plants and learn about the history here at the big banana. Enjoyed our tour here and definitely recommend the visit great to learn about the history of the big banana. Family friendly place to visit too.

A must do in Coffs Harbour, we love this place. Still looks the same as when I brought my kids 15 yrs ago & very reasonable entrance fee which all goes to looking after these wonderful sea personalities. We chose to go on a very rainy day & had the park almost to ourselves but hence got very wet. The staff are so passionate & caring for the marine & do alot of rescue on the East Coast. All talks were very insightful, such a fantastic opportunity for us all to fall in love even more with our marine creatures.

Loved learning more about the turtle rehabilitation. The dolphin show was beautiful but miss the seal show that they use to have. The penguins were so cute! Great work Wildlife Sanctuary. We never tire from visiting!

Absolutely fantastic experience and an absolute fantastic reason why they operate. What they do is so crucial for marine wildlife. All money is worth going to experience this non for profit organisation.

What a great find! It's a small-ish venue - you can see everything in a under two hours - but being small allows it to be much more intimate. You're closer to the animals, and the close encounter experiences are amazing. We saw another family doing the penguin encounter, and we did the dolphin encounters. One note - they charge extra for photos (which given the prices seems exorbitant), so make sure to take your own

We had a great day. It’s a small place with lots of great shows for a half day. Staff were lovely and everyone gets a turn. We fed, played and pat the dolphins and they are so close and really engaging. My kids teenagers loved this as much as I did 30 years ago. Highly recommended.

Coffs Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful animal sanctuary. The ticket is very reasonable for the experience, and knowing it’s a non-profit makes it even more special. The dolphin show was awesome—they were playful and cheeky, moving eagerly from their lagoon to the performance pool, clearly excited to show off their talents. The staff are passionate and caring, and every visit supports the sanctuary’s important work protecting these amazing animals.

We walked from the Visitors Centre to The Glade and back late in the afternoon. Not too many people and a great array of rainforest birds, including several displaying Superb Lyrebirds, Noisy Pitta, Logrunner, Wompoo Fruit-dove and Green Catbird, plus an Echidna. The Visitors Centre has a good display and an excellent gift shop, but the cafe is closed.

A beautiful park , sunrise boardwalk is one of the highlights of this park . There are no entry fee but A$2 donation to support the national park so please carry some gold coin for a good cause . There are two nice waterfalls and one waterfall is accessible to play in the waters . Great place to visit.

Beautiful day trip location. Walking track was sealed and a fairly easy walk. Enjoyed the tour on offer also. Picturesque views and tranquil picnic spot.

Dorrigo NP is well worth a visit to experience the ancient forests. We found there was time in a day to do both the sub-tropical Wonga walk to the beautiful Crystal Springs waterfall and a section of the Blackbutt temperate forest walk. As well as a picnic at the Glade and a loiter around the information centre. All up a wonderful day. The forests are amazing, especially the Titanic-sized fallen giants along the Blackbutt trail.

A great parkland, but not at its best at the moment. Unfortunately the Cafe and a loop of the rainforest walk were closed. It will be great again once these things are restored.

I had no idea about the history behind this gaol and how interesting it was. It is a beautiful location with stunning views and some resident kangaroos! If you are lucky and there at the right time you may even see whales! Well worth a visit!

What an extraordinary place. Trial Bay Gaol took my breath away. The view alone is worth the visit… the bluest ocean stretching endlessly beneath you, wrapped in fresh sea air that feels like a gift. 🌊✨ There’s a kind of energy here that’s hard to explain…. the kind you’d love to bottle up and keep forever. The architecture, the history, the wild beauty surrounding it… it all weaves together to create something truly special. I honestly don’t know why this place isn’t more well known, but I’m so grateful I got to experience it. It’s one of those rare places that lingers with you long after you leave.

11 dollars entry, which I thought was very reasonable. You have the opportunity to have a look in the small museum at the entry. Then you can walk around the goal at your own pace. Make your way up the watchtower for awesome views. The cells are open to walk inside as well as the quiet cells.

Stunning, old ruins kept in pristine condition. Very much worth the modest entry price. Views forever. An interesting part of Australias history. Don't miss the museum!

Fun couple of hours if you are visiting South West Rocks. The Gail has a rich convict history as well as being used as an internment camp for Germans during the First World War. Great views of the bay from the top of the guard house. Watch the short film before you go in, for a brief history of the gaol.

one of the best highlights for a road trip! An awesome place to visit with a fascinating historical background. The site offers a pretty cool experience and is definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring the area.

We visited the historic gaol site for a while however it was so windy that it was hard to walk, 80 km gusts driving huge waves on the ocean. The stone walls built by convicts are still standing strong but there are few roofs left. The display panels tell a lot of stories of the prison system of the time and of the time when German prisoners were interned in WW1 as enemy aliens The site is well worth visiting

The Koala Hospital is currently operating from Guulabaa on Burrawan Forest Drive while they redevelop the site in town. It is such a great facility and so wonderful to see the koalas up in their trees. Great picnic spot outside.

Such a wonderful experience! The family enjoyed it. Good to see we have hospitals for these beautiful animals. They even have a store with cute items to buy. They also have a heritage onsite with cafe with memorabilia. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful place for rescued Koalas. When you visit in the morning when the Koalas get food they are awake. Since September 2024 the hospital needs to charge an entry fee because people weren’t donating enough. An adult pays 12,50$ to treat the sick Koalas. We loved the visit and only met very kind volunteers.

An amazing experience! We gained fascinating insights into the organization’s work at the Koala Hospital. The dedicated volunteers were incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. We were lucky to spot a few koalas, but it’s clear that the focus here is not on showcasing the animals for tourism but on their protection and care—huge respect for that! The hospital will be closing soon, but there is a koala breeding center on the other side of the city, run by the same organization. We were encouraged to visit for more valuable insights. I highly recommend a visit—thank you for your incredible work, and keep it up!

We visited the hospital with the family on a thursday morning. The best option is to go early, as they get food in between 8.30 and 9.00. They also get food in the evening. We didn’t book a tour guide but Maz was around and gave alot of information. We could ask all and any questions about the koalas and their way of life. It’s great to support the hospital as they so take care of them with care. Would recommend a visit!

Good initiative! There really wasn’t that much to do here though for those who have seen koalas before and been to other conservation parks. There were 5 koalas to see and a sign of how they were found. All up 10 min visit.

Beautiful rainforest walk, very well designed and about a bit more than 1 km long. We didn’t see many animals, but the nature and atmosphere made it a lovely experience. After the walk, we stopped at the café which was excellent – great food and drinks! We had a cappuccino and bacon with eggs, both super tasty and freshly made. Definitely worth a visit for a peaceful walk and a relaxing coffee break

Lovely staff, all super friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend to spend some time at the bar and immerse yourself while grabbing a bite/drink. There are several tour options, although you can also purchase the boardwalk alone. In July there are some aboriginal tours going on - photo enclosed. They also sell plants if you want to bring a vivid memory back home and grow it fondly 🌱 Recommended!

Place itself was great. Cute gift-shop, a lot of things to choose from. We saw a few families really enjoying their time there, so perfect with kids. Since we have traveled a lot, it’s not a must see view. Good, but not a must see place.

Fantastic Rainforest tree walk on a walkway through the forest with interesting information along the way about the various trees and plants and their uses. We were lucky enough to see a goanna. Great information centre and souvenirs, Cafe was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited Sea Acres Rainforest centre and did the board walk today and it was magical! We were told at reception where we would see a Powerful Owl, and then spotted it perched on a tree branch which was amazing to see, definitely would not have seen this if we weren’t for the help! The walk is beautiful at every point and the trees were breathtaking! We also met Graham, who is a volunteer at the centre, and asked us if we had any questions about the place, we asked about the fig trees and he had all the facts, we learnt so much! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable so special thanks to Graham! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Nice quiet board walk to be enjoyed whilst taking in the vast rainforest. We were lucky to see an Owl chick. Friendly and helpful staff.

Always skipped this place in the past, but this time around, we managed to stop by It has an amazing panoramic view of some areas of Port Stephens. Parking spots are very limited, though.

A quick stop for an incredible view. There are two areas to enjoy the view. Free parking is available in a small parking area at the lookout.

The drive up is steep and winding, but the view from the top is absolutely worth it! You get a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the entire Port Stephens area, including the bay, Tomaree Head, and the surrounding landscape. It's the perfect first stop to get your bearings and appreciate the scale of this beautiful region. A must-do for the view alone!

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Petersons House restaurant! From start to finish, everything was flawless. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a beautiful meal. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply exceptional. The lamb rack was to die for—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavour. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and exceeded expectations. The whole dining experience was such a pleasure and the deconstructed lemon meringue was nothing short of sensational – the perfect finish to an amazing meal. Our grandchildren were also so well catered for and entertained with the activity book waiting for them at the table on arrival, which made the experience even more special. Petersons House is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning!

Our experience at Restaurant Cuvée was delightful! Warm welcoming hosts and wonderful setting under the trees looking across the vines. We were treated to a yummy lunch of zucchini flowers, fresh sourdough, lamb rack and rocket salad. Indulgent and great food! Complimented with great bubbles and followed up with a shared dessert of pavlova and exquisite Davidson plum ice cream! Kim was our waiter and she was so lovely. The perfect combination of friendly conversation and professional service. Kim enhanced our experience and was so nice to both of us and our dog, Betty. Highly recommend a long lunch here !!!

Had a large group for a birthday lunch, the venue were very attentive and accommodating with any requests. Had the group set menu choices, the food was very good and the service excellent, I had the beef which was delicious and perfectly cooked and I really enjoyed the sauce

Peterson House is an absolute dream to shoot! I love that I can get ceremony shots inside and then change up the lighting with the sandstone chapel outside all in one place. Came in October over the long weekend and it was an absolute treat! Emma was absolutely phenomenal and recommended great wines! I will absolutely be coming back here again! Emma is an absolute gem!! The walking trail from **Merewether Beach** to **King Edward Park Lookout** is about 6 km return. I enjoyed a wonderful 1.5-hour walk on a delightful afternoon. The weather was perfect, the beach was absolutely stunning, and the sunset created a magical atmosphere. Along the way, I saw many people walking, exercising, and enjoying their time, which made the whole experience even more lively and enjoyable.

Nice short walk that gives you a great views of the ocean and city. You also get to know more about the history of ANZAC during WW1. I recommend going here to view the sunset.

Great coastal walk along some of Newcastle's best beaches like Bar Beach, Merewether Beach. You can walk all the way to Newcastle and spot a hang glider or 2.

Wonderful coastline walk with well documented military history along the way. Plenty of parking at either end. Dogs not permitted but they are permitted along the existing footpath which follows the walk on the street. Lots of stairs and hill down to Bar beach. Would recommend.

Blackbut Reserve is such an amazing place for nature and photography lovers. You can spot plenty of wildlife, from birds to wallabies, making photo hunting really exciting. The atmosphere is calm, green, and relaxing-perfect for a walk while carrying your camera. It's also a great place for families, a fun walk with friends, or just to enjoy a refreshing day outdoors. Truly a fun and memorable spot for everyone.

I visited this place on a lovely afternoon and had an amazing experience. The parking was convenient and well-organized. Birds and different animals were freely around the area, which made it both exciting and enjoyable to watch. The pleasant sound of birds created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. There were also great facilities for barbecue and seating, making it a perfect spot to spend time. The weather was wonderful, and everything together made it a truly memorable visit.

I spent a lovely morning at the Blackbutt Nature Reserve and it was great! We saw wallabies, one koala, emus and much more. The park in itself is really nice and very well organized. It’s perfect for families with kids ! We finished our morning having lunch at the park, as there are many pic nic tables. The reserve is free but the parking lot is around 6$ by hour. We had a coffee and a matcha at the cafe there and it was not really good … we also waited a lot.

Nice park with relaxing area with a playground near the cafe. Many beautiful birds and a paved pathway to see various animals. We saw birds, kangaroos, emus, reptiles and a koala. It was busy but festive on the weekend we went. Overall a great place to visit.

Great for a family day out or a place to hang with friends. There are plenty of spots to sit and have a picnic, including picnic tables. Kids area is great. Cafe has a good selection - all sorts of flavoured croissants, biscuits and cakes, as well as a full menu of breakfast and lunch food. I had a Nutella cookie and it was extremely good! The main nature walk includes koalas, wallabys, lizards, frogs, and birds of all sorts. The emu and kangaroo area is always good to walk around. There are plenty of walking tracks through the reserve. Entry is free, but parking is not. Not really any public transport options, and the road outside the reserve is pretty dangerous to try to cross and theres minimal space to walk on that side of the road. Very much not walkable to there if you live nearby.

I've always loved Blackbutt and spent many happy hours there as a child, with my children and now grand children. But honestly, charging for parking? Any wonder the car park was empty, a disgraceful grab for cash.

I visited Terrigal Beach with my work friends, driving just an hour and a half from Sydney. These are photos from the sunrise that truly impressed me. There was a lovely beachfront market, people walking their dogs, and some enjoying coffee while watching the sunrise. The place is beautiful, with a great atmosphere and not too crowded. I absolutely love it here — it’s perfect for me, and I can’t wait to come back again.

We had such a beautiful time at Terrigal Beach,it's one of those places that instantly makes you feel relaxed and refreshed. The golden sand stretches wide and long, perfect for a peaceful walk or just lying back under the sun. The water was clean and calm, great for both swimming and just dipping your toes in. What really made the visit special was the vibrant but laid-back vibe. The beachfront is lined with charming cafes, little shops, and restaurants where you can grab a coffee or enjoy fresh seafood with an ocean view. We also loved the Terrigal Haven, a short walk from the main beach, perfect spot for snorkeling or watching the sunset. Parking was pretty easy to find, and the area felt safe and family-friendly. Whether you're going with friends, family, or on a solo getaway, Terrigal Beach has something for everyone. Can't wait to go back!

It’s not very busy and extremely underrated compared to the nearby, much more popular beaches such as the entrance. It has gorgeous views and is generally a nice place to visit.

A really beautiful beach. Can be crowded, especially on a weekend but it’s still a wonderful beach to come to. Terrigal Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the Central Coast . There is designated parking but that can get full very quickly especially when it’s busy. There is a small ocean rock pool tucked away into the cliff on the southern end of the pool and is patrolled all year for safe swimming. There’s good toilet and shower facilities and also handicapped toilets. The picnic areas include grassed areas and under cover picnic tables. There is also a fantastic walking path leading to the Terrigal Boardwalk. There’s plenty of cafes and restaurants around that you can grab something to eat. Unfortunately, the beach does not cater for people with accessibility needs. The view is stunning, so beautiful. Would definitely recommend a visit.
