Gmunden is very beautiful and the lake is also wonderful, which is the deepest lake in Austria. You can walk around the lake, listen to the ringing of bells in the main square, shop at the farmers' market, and have coffee with the locals in the coastal restaurants. Parking is paid on weekdays, but with some walking (on a steep road), you can park for free on the "hill".

Lake Traunsee is one of Austria's best-kept secrets. Tucked away in the beautiful Salzkammergut region, this lake is the deepest in Austria, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and lush, green mountains.

Schloss Ort is a hidden gem in Austria, nestled on a small island in the Traunsee Lake. The castle is charming, with its picturesque setting and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. A magnificent site in the Salzkammergut. Definitely worth the trip from Salzburg, not only for the castle itself, but also for the relaxing view of the lake. You can spend a few hours here, walking the trails and stopping at several viewpoints along the lakeshore. Convenient and affordable parking is available nearby. Highly recommended! Romantic arquitecture at its best. Clear waters. Lovely restaurant on a patio directly at the lake. Free bathroom visits for the restaurant guests. Let your dreams flow and lose yourself in gazing at the majestic mountains. Ah, SO relaxing...

The castle is very nice and well maintained, but there isn't much to see. Also, there are no English translations available.

Visiting Schloss Ort was such a lovely experience. The castle sits beautifully on the lake, and walking around the grounds and across the bridge was very peaceful. The views are picturesque, and it’s a great place to relax and take some memorable photos.

Nothing new I can say about this castle that hasn't already been said. Its a very normal looking Austrian castle but what makes it unique is its location. Its sitting on the traunsee lake in a small island that just fits the castle with a small path you can take around it and get a good look at both the lake and gmunden.

Wonderful beach on the lake with excellent facilities, lots of options for kids to have fun, like a nice sand area, water slides, splash pool for small kids, floating trampoline and others. There is a canteen which offers decent food (pizza, sausage, Pommes) in affordable prices. There is a large parking area right outside. Can definitely recommend it!

Super family friendly lake facility with plenty of offers involving water. They have a trampolin, with different hights, a few floating platforms, floating inflatables, sup board rental, restaurant, sand playground and a big lying lawn. The view is marvelous, the entry prices convenient. Free parking nearby aswell. Looking forward visiting again.

Had the best time swimming in the wonderfully cold Mondsee at the end of May. The 5-euro fee is definitely the best money spent, as the infrastructure is excellent

Lovely spot, right near Mondsee city centre, really close to a lot of parking lots. We drove 20 minutes from Salzburg to reach this place, quite near to the city. It is very complex, it has a small library, different spots to take a swimming, diving decks and a lot of greenery with trees. Loved it. Will definitely come here more often. The water is crystal clean and the view with the mountains& hills is amazing. Totally recommended!

Absolutely beautiful place. We saw it from the highway and just had to drive down here and see. We decided to go for a swim in the lake. Clearly a popular area as there were a lot of people there but definitely worth it!

Went here as part of a sound of music tour. It was a really nice building in a lovely little town. It didn't cost any money to visit. It has a little gift shop. We went on a Sunday and there was a small market in the courtyard area seeking mostly food items

We went to Mondsee and visited the Basilika St Michael church. Stunning. Apparently this is where the wedding from the Sound of Music was filmed. Beautiful, serene. Abit taken back seeing the four skeletons in the altar, apparently they died for the church.

Beautiful on the outside but magnificent on the inside. Don't miss this church if you visit Mondsee. Take a look at the attached photos. Since there are excellent Konditorei nearby, such as the Konditorei - Café Frauenschuh, you might/should combine these two visits.

For the kids a funny place but as adult it's like a reminder on the overcrowded beaches with sun louncher on every square meter. The price is quiet expensive for that what you get. Interesting to visit onetime but not for a second time. There are much more cheaper and nicer places for both kids & adults around.

No surprise it was crowded on a rainy weekend, still had a good time. I'd prefer if the restaurant offered some more light dishes but I guess it's a kid-friendly menu after all

Good place for Family short holiday escape. It was a good experience for the whole family in Aquapulco. Children friendly, the staffs are friendly and always smiles. Inside there is restaurant with a reasonable price (ex. Small salad-you can pick yourself ~6 euro, Kid‘s pack ~8 euro as per 2023). Each adult gets blue bracelet with NFC and red for children. This bracelet can be used to open/close your locker, to access the park, to access black jack „water-slide“ (i think it‘s for safety reason), to pay your meals or beverage in side the park. The bracelet will be scanned at the exit, in case you have buy anything inside. Only one points need to improve thou, On the stairs to the 4 big water slides, It is good when small signs, maybe with small arrows with color (ex. red, yellow, orange and black) to mind the visitors where to queue for which water slide. Iya But over all, it was great! Thanks Aquapulco team!

The place is fun and n8ce, we were just in the kids area, yes i was missing the adults area that exists but it was all overpriced as it is(as opposed to ammade for instance). 6 water sludes, 1 is nothing much but the rest are pretty neat. We were 2 hours only but i guess we could spend 3 hours there, i think a bit more the kids gets bored.

So many friends recommended, but I was disappointed. Too many visitors in too small space, no free place to left you towels, in some part of pool building its quite cold temperature, whats a misstake for such facility. Nobody to ask how to open cupboard with those chips, lot of them malfunctioning. Any single person of staff dont speak or dont wanna speak english, not a one, big problem with parking and opposed to my previous experience with Austria food facilities, a serious troubles with fryer oil in canteen. I wonder, why it is so popular. And inadequate price. No more.

Children enjoyed it a lot. The little one (3 years) was a bit bothered my the loud sound of water hitting the objects and stayed in the baby bay only because it was much more quite. It would be good if some instructions are in English as well for those who do not understand German.

Nice medium size aquapark with many waterslides. Child will love it. Part of spa complex with many other activities. Pools with warm water. Restaurant with many options. You can easily spend there full day. Lot of parking around. Few EV charging stations just front of entrance.

Great museum with interactive elements and beautifully displayed cars, tractors, and other motorized vehicles! Beautifully presented, although some elements, such as movies, are not translated to English. A really good way to spend an hour or so.

Very nice museum excellent for children of all ages. All of the cars are presented in excellent condition. With plenty of information about each one. Most have English versions. There’s lots to do including a massive scalextric track and several simulators some free some cost a euro or two but well worth the money.

This place is a must visit! All the cars are still functionable and I learned so much about Ferdinand Porsche. I had the privilege to be guided by Porsche's grandson himself! What a true experience. I am very grateful for it and highly recommend to visit! You will not regret. I did not know that Porsche was so multi-talented. He did so much for the industry and I am happy that a museum dedicated to his work exists.

One of the BEST and most interactive automotive museums ever! We had visited dozens of automotive museums in the past, and this easily trumps them all! Interactive simulators that let you drive a real P111, a full 3D motion racing simulator, aeroplanes and rally cars. There's even a large scalextric track. Worth planning a visit and taking a detour if you are in the region and love anything mechanical.

We recently visited the Europa thermal bath complex that left us with mostly positive impressions. Here are some highlights and points to consider: Positives: - The thermal bath complex is quite large. - There are many different pools with temperatures ranging from 18 to 40 degrees Celsius. - It was Sunday and quite crowded, but we were still able to find a spot. - The restaurant was good with relatively tasty food and large portions, though it was not cheap. - The glass walkways between the thermal baths are likely very pleasant in winter, though a bit warm in the summer. Points to Consider: - The indoor thermal baths were stuffy. - Access to the salt room requires an additional 2 euros, which you need to carry with you. - The facility uses an outdated system for managing services. You have to carry heavy keys and money, whereas most modern thermal baths use electronic bracelets for visitors. In these baths, you also need to carry money to buy food, whereas in other places you can pay with a bracelet upon exit. - There are long corridors between changing rooms, and it is often unclear where to go. Overall, the thermal bath complex offers a pleasant experience with some room for improvement in terms of convenience and modernization.

Absolutely brilliant! Very clean, we found loungers on the grass. Take towels. But basically you can take anything you need. The lazy river is fantastic and goes faster on the quarter hour. I saw people paying with cards in the restaurant, but you could bring a picnic. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Nice staff. We went with two young kids 4 and 6 y.o. and it went fine as long as you tell them to behave. Expect mostly older and adult crowd.

I’m not sure if it’s officially allowed yet, but wearing footwear directly into the pool is becoming increasingly common here. Normally, people enter the water barefoot, but what I witnessed today was beyond comprehension—five people wearing shoes in one of the smaller pools. When I think about how the toilets sometimes look, I can’t help but wonder if these people even think about hygiene. It doesn’t seem sanitary to me, and perhaps Europa Therme appears to be turning a blind eye to this growing trend. Of course, if it is permitted and correct that such shoes (like neoprene or similar) can be worn in the pools, then I apologize. However, this kind of practice used to be generally prohibited. And to me, it simply doesn’t seem hygienic.

We attend the baths twice a month. They are really cool and nice, and they help me with my health problems. However, conversing with the cash desk assistants is always a challenge. It seems like they do not respect customers who do not speak German. Once, they made me pay twice because they had a problem with their system, even though I showed them the bank notification confirming the bank transfer. I contacted the accounting team and requested my money back. Another incident happened on the 26th of December, when I wanted to pay for four people. According to their own rules, employees allowed just 2+2. I understand that every firm can have its own rules, but in both cases the employees were rude and disrespectful. It is very unfortunate.

I came all the way from London mainly to enjoy the sauna and steam zones, as I have back problems and really needed some relief. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Even though I paid for a full-day ticket that included all facilities, I could only use the pools. The sauna and steam areas were full of completely nude people, which made me very uncomfortable — especially since there was no clear information beforehand that nudity was expected. I think it’s important to respect that not everyone is comfortable with that. On top of that, the **hygiene was not as good as I expected**, especially for such a well-known spa. Overall, the visit was far below my expectations and left me quite disappointed after travelling such a long way. I really hope the management improves cleanliness and provides clearer information about the rules so that future guests can have a better experience.

We have tried all of the three places in the town and this one is the best and a real natural hot water with minerals. Fair prices and a wonderful cafe-restaurant with amazing choice!!! DON'T forget the bathrobe (Bademantel) to feel there maximum comfortable and to have an access to the cafe! 5 out of 5 definitely!! Thank you, Therme Eins Team! Definitely coming back again from Ingolstadt and Nürnberg!

Prices in the official website are not updated - the 5 hours ticket is more expensive 29€, instead of 19.5€. Reply: This is not what the lady in the reception told us. She said 19.5€ is for 3 hours.

Bad customer service. I arrive late in the little town, as I booked accommodation nearby. As I learnt that there are baths within 10 min drive, and I love german spas, I went there after 5 pm. The lady at the entrance had no knowledge of the english language and I honestly felt that she looked down on me . I tried to understand if my 3 years old daughter can use the pools as the water has a concentration of sulphur. She did not make an effort, I used google translate. I decided that I should not spend my money where they have no respect for the customer and left. Although this is a touristic town, it looks like this is more for german speaking people, the rest are not welcomed. Horrible customer service, it does not matter what product you are selling, as long as you disrespect your potential customers.

So beautiful cathedral calm and peace located in passau. I visited in weekdays and it was not crowded. And cathedral is being renovated bit public is allowed now. You can get inside and praise the lord inside by lighting the candles. #passau

The cathedral has the most beautiful baroque ceiling work. A true spectacle. It's said to have the largest pipe organ ion the world. A concert is spectacular. Walking through the old-fashioned German town is fascinating. The Rhine recurringly floods halfway up the streets. Side streets are cobbled & decorated by local artists.

The Cathedral of Passau, also known as St. Stephen's Cathedral, is a stunning Baroque church located in Passau, Germany. It is famous for housing one of the world's largest cathedral organs, with over 17,000 pipes, making it a major attraction for both architecture and music lovers. The cathedral's interior features elaborate frescoes, richly decorated stucco work, and impressive vaulted ceilings. Situated at the confluence of three rivers—the Danube, Inn, and Ilz—it offers a picturesque setting that enriches its historical and spiritual significance.

The cathedral was under construction the time we were there, according to our guide St. Stephan is always under construction, it’s all depends if they have the funds or not. Even with a big crane inside you can tell the artwork on the ceiling is very impressive.

It is a huge cathedral with some of the highest ceilings i have seen in Europe. Seems this place was not destroyed by WW2, thankfully. It is a magnificent structure at the highest point of Passau.

They advertise the midday concert as the unique experience of listening to the biggest pipe organs in the world. We bought tickets for 6 euro each and then at the concert it turned out that the organs have been removed from the church for renovation (and will be away for 2 years!) so all we had was a concert of small mobile organs which was definitely not enough for a big church like this one. The concert was disappointing and it was not fair that they didn’t tell us (and other 300 people) honestly in advance. After the concert the ticket booth was already closed so there was no one to talk to. Good business concept for the church, disappointment for visiting people.

This was an excellent museum. I was there 3 hours and didn't see everything. The room information was in English but individual items in the rooms were not. The museum covers several topics; bishops, the castle, the town, porcelain, people who lived in the Bohemian forest and more. Great views down to the old town and the 3 rivers.

Veste Oberhaus is one of my favorite stops in Bavaria. The castle complex has so much to offer. There is plenty to see if you do not pay for the admission. There is also so much more to see if you do pay admission. The admission price is nominal and definitely worth it. There is a restaurant called Das Oberhaus that is super. Also, you are permitted to take photos inside of the castle, and this is not permitted at every castle in Bavaria.

Passau was a stop on our river cruise. The cruise line didn't over an excursion to Veste Oberhaus but it is definitely worth visiting. There are two options to get up the hill. One is to pay for a shuttle at $5 Euros each way. The second option is to walk up the medieval stairs to the top. Takes about 15 to 30 minutes depending on your physical ability. We saw many seniors walking up and down. The tower is a must see attraction because it offers a 360 degree observation deck that allows you to take amazing panoramic photos. The museum has many artifacts and is extensive.

Great Museum and castle, wish we had more time to explore. Otherwise great for kids under 12 they lose interest 30min inside. But I could spend all day. Really night walk if your saying in town.

I recently visited the impressive Veste Oberhaus in Passau. Perched high above the confluence of the rivers, the views of the city were outstanding. I found the fortress itself to be an incredible historical structure, dating back to 1219, which now houses a captivating museum. The grounds are well-maintained and offer a fascinating glimpse into the past.

This is a great place to get a bird's eye view over the city. The bus is €10 for a return trip and runs half hourly. There is also a nice restaurant with panoramic views. There are options to pay to visit the museum and/or an observation tower, but you can get good views from the terrace without paying. Well worth a visit.

This is the main attraction in Passau. There is a shuttle bus to and from Romerplatz for 5£. (Well worth the time and effort to get here.) Passau is lovely, but there isn't a lot to do in the town. There is a castle museum with portraits, church-y items, and castle doo-dads. Unfortunately, the castle areas themselves are not open. I was expecting to see the museum, then tour the castle, but that's not the case. I guess it depends on your expectations, but we didn't find the museum to be expansive. There was a few chests, armor, weapons, Bibles, portraits, maps, etc. but not a lot of any one thing. Maybe not being able to enter the castle dampened our enthusiasm. We spent about 45 minutes in the museum, and another 45 minutes wandering outside. There is a restaurant with a great view. Unfortunately, it stays packed, and suffers from oktoberfest syndrome. I've found most Germans to be rather dismissive of the idea of sharing a table. After trying about 20 tables and being told no, we just left. Theoretically you can walk up to the castle, but unless you are an Olympic race walker, I wouldn't advise it. Gorgeous views of the 3 rivers, although one river is pretty dinky. Set aside several hours; more if you want to go slowly through the museum.

We drove 1,5 hours just to visit this park and it was an amazing experience. This park is filled with different kind of attractions, Spielplatz and many seats for the parents to sit down. Great restaurants and many stations to eat or drink something- although it was a bit disturbing we couldn’t pay everywhere with card but overall it was okay. There’s also an animal park! The price, I found a bit too high at the beginning but after our day there, I changed my view because it was worth it absolutely 100% 🤩 And of course, we will visit again because we couldn’t even discover it all in one day ☺️

Great park, perfect for our kids age and height. Our 4, 6 and 8 year old could do all the rides expect 2-3 rides that they wouldn't have dared to take anyways. 2 rides were out of order, but no big deal. The different kiosks and cafe's may or may not accept card, which is absurd in 2025. So bring cash in case you promised your kids slush 🫠

A park much smaller then I though looking at the map, but it was great. Lots of attractions with a very short walk between them. It’s perfect during summer days as the park has lots of trees everywhere and it’s nice and shady. Waiting times were very short, from 2-3minutes to maximum 15-20 minutes, so we managed to do everything in one day. Food is average, same as in most of these kind of parks. The good thing is that you can bring your own snacks and drinks.

The place was big and beautiful and the facilities were fun but some of them were very unsafe. For example, the family tube facility was very dangerous and my whole family came out with painful injuries. In addition, my daughter was standing in line for a facility of this type of mechanism, so she sat on this car a little ahead of time and the operator of the facility behaved really rudely. He touched her shoulder and shouted at her to get out of the car and wait 5 minutes as punishment. Really rude. My daughter came out crying and said we will not go back there.

We went with kids, this was so much fun 🤩 you have to plan an entire day. On some rides you have to wait in the line as they are very popular. Zou can bring your own foods and drinks. Lot of fun. I recommend this place for family with small kids.

Bayern Park is located in the South East of Bavaria 1.5hrs drive from Munich. It’s worth the trip, because you can spend a full day with the whole family in the park. There are rides for all ages, cute & slow for smaller children, but also rollercoasters and a free fall tower for teenagers and adults. There’s also a quieter part where you can see some animals and have a walk through a nice little wood. Prices are fair and you get a lot value for money. Parking is not an issue, plenty of space.

I came here in the middle of March, the mountain was still covered in snow and ice, I got to the mountain by bus, it was Saturday, so keep in mind that the last bus back leaves at 2 p.m., I arrived at the mountain at two o'clock))) I walked back on the road for cyclists, 6 km to the city center. There is also an option by bus to the nearest German towns, the bus to them goes more often and leaves until 5 or 6 p.m. . The ascent was complicated by the weather, but it was worth it because it was fantastically beautiful

Relatively easy hike for wandern lovers! From Lake to tip (one way), approximately 1.5 hour hike. Highly suggest if your in the area. The top has multiple viewing points and surprisingly not as many people on the top as we thought there would be. Weekdays are definitely better if your not a fan of crowds. If you are only up for a small walk, around the lake is also quite enjoyable. Stroller friendly. No swimming, but you can rent a row boat in the summer months. Parking only 3 euros.

The Best tourist destination... in the Bayern Forest... lovely place.... in Winter... in Spring.... in Summer... in Autumn... climbing to Großer Arber isn't very tiresome... the look of Bayern Forest from here is very beautiful.... Fresh air is ready to enrich our body and mind....

The best vantage point in the area. The hiking trail is fast, simple, it is possible to take a cable car. Usually quite a lot of people.

Went with fatbikes to the summit in fog and snow. Pretty "funky"... The radar killed our E-Bike motors but they recovered when we went down. Very interesting.

Really great way to spend the day with the whole family. . Entry was free. Great glass shops for any glass item you can think of. Great coffee and food also.

This is part of Germany’s history, a very dark and sad part. The moment I stepped onto the grounds I felt very sad and emotional. I stark reminder of how evil people can get.

Although it was closed by the virus, it was still hauntingly real. It was so cold and then it started snowing and one could just imagine how it was. So heartbreaking and so necessary! We should never forget where hatred for "different" people led us!

A trip there is necessary to understand history and see it with one’s own eyes. Very sad yet very needed in those time of increasing hate in the world. RIP to all those who have lost their lives in the Concentration camps. You will shall never be forgotten.

The musical fountain was opened in May 2025 after reconstruction. It is very beautiful. We were there at 7 pm.

Set in a beautiful park with statues and fountains this would have been the icing on the cake but unfortunately it stopped on 1st September and doesn’t start up again until next May.

Really lovely experience. Performances on the hour apart from 8pm (20.00). There was quite a crowd for the 21.00 show so get there about 15 mins earlier. Would recommend the after dark shows.

Three sources to get magnesium extra doses and more…Edward cafe is very chic but you can also get a bottle of Don Perignon for 25.000csk a bit further down in the next cafeteria further down in the city. Fancy little kiosks in the source drink hall, cash point, great body care natural products for a gift, historical reference source beautifully presented with a modern interior. All we missed was a proper restaurant nearby: only coffee, ice cream and maybe minor snacks don’t fit the beautiful view - where is a great lunch/dinner place nearby if it s not in one of the hotels which do not offer the view????

Iconic and yet very gorgeous colonnade which represents the whole Marienbad. It is very similar like Carlsbad colonnade and what is very cute, that u can feel, that it is feminine-like architecture in its form and architectural accent. It is not worse nor bad, it is simply Marienbad icon, which represents the character of this place. The only thing which is bit sad is the flooring, which should be reconstructed and changed to some marble, limestone or other much higher quality material that will last. But by the end of the day, still beautiful.

Beautiful citi with so much history. We stayed at hotel Bohemia. Our stay was fabulous. Breakfast is included and it is tasty. Did not take pictures but they even include barista on premises.

Diana Observation Tower is a must-see attraction in Karlovy Vary! Well worth it. Take a lift or take a short walk. The view from the tower is absolutely fantastic. Expect heavy wind, take a jumper.

Beautiful observation tower with restaurant below and a mini zoo. You can ride the Diana funicular from Kolonáda directly to here. You can also hike the hill with 1.1 km moderate trail.

The Diana Observation Tower is one of the most beautiful spots in Karlovy Vary! The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the entire town surrounded by lush green hills. The ride up by funicular is scenic and relaxing, and there’s a lovely forest walk if you prefer hiking. The café near the tower is cozy and perfect for a short break. A must-visit place for anyone coming to Karlovy Vary!

Beautiful 360 degree view of the region. There's also a small, budget-friendly kiosk selling street food and drinks in front of the tower. If you don't have any serious limitations, I suggest getting a one-way ticket. Take the funicular up and walk down while enjoying the view. Observation tower itself is free. You pay for the funicular.

Beautiful walk, you can also owe the monorail to go up and the tower has an elevator. I drank a beer at the restaurant down. And visited the butterflies museum!

Beautiful way to look at Karlovy Vary. Keep in mind that during fall/winter times fog is a quite often guest so you won't see much till around midday. Worth visiting, free and well-maintained observation point with a restaurant nearby

The museum (or rather the visitors center) is one of the best I have been to. Everything is new and bright and aesthetic, there is a lot to see, most of the tour's parts are interactive, the tour guide was so nice and friendly and the bar at the end is very cool. If you're in Karlovy Vary, this is a must go. I would also mention that we are English speakers but we booked a Czech tour (because that's the only one they had at the time), but when we came and there were no Czech speakers in the group - the tour turned to be in English. Great experience.

We visited on January 18.2024 Coming from the USA, I loved this European style museum, surrounded by little gift shops and a cukràzda/coffeeshop, where you can have little breakfast bites, cakes, sweats etc The museum was interesting, but most of the center of the tour was the Beherovka tasting, gives you a clue of the taste and made you happy. If you are in Karlovy Vary, I would suggest this tour.

I visited the Becherovka Museum and it was a nice experience. The tour was interesting and I learned a lot about the history of the drink. I really liked the taste of Becherovka – it has a special herbal flavor. But for me, it was a bit too sweet. Still, I think it’s a unique drink and worth trying. The museum is well-organized and the staff were helpful.

I was very impressed with the tour & the visitor centre. They offered audio guides for us English speakers, but they explained the disgustation in English too. The staff were very enthusiastic and great fun. Plus they have special types of Becherovka there that can't be bought anywhere else. Interesting...

A place always worth to visit 🙂 Just for a view bucks you can have a guidet tour with funny tasting afterwards. You learn plenty about the highly interesting history and background of this worldwide know liquor 🥃. Visiting the exhibition without a tour isn't possible. You should place a reservation a few hours before. Tours happen just a few times a day in selected languages. Student discount available and significant. You will get a discount at the shop with your ticket 🎟️. The shop offers the best price I could found in town and the guys there are nice 🙂. Free restroom 🚻 in museum. Cash (€, CZK) or creditcard 💳 possible.

We took a guided tour through the glassworks. We were shown how glass is blown in general, not more than that -- ain't anything special. How crystal is cut, how it is gilded and finished, getting its final magnificent look - this all is behind the scene, not included in a guided tour. The impression is spoiled by safety measures at the glassworks - workers work with liquid glass wearing worn-out open-toed shoes, wearing their dirtiest pants and tshirts that have long since served their time in the garage or garden. No hint of work uniform or modern protection gear, and while the guide assured that there are no accidents at the factory, one worker had his forearm in bandages.

The guide was excellent (speaking great English). The tour took us through the factory and on to the museum. Leaving you free to browse the retail outlet if you were interested.

We went on the English tour and it was fascinating! We got to see the workers blowing and shaping hot glass into a vase. Our guide was great, offering interesting explanations to our group of 15. The tour ended with a 15-minute video about the interesting history of the Moser family. Highly recommend!

The Moser Museum where you must to visit when you come to Karlovy Vary. Because Czech is very famous about the full-color glass with cup, toy, collection,... But the price is very high for buying one cup. You can study and explore the process of creating glass, it's great for everyone and kids.

The museum is small but beautiful and the glass works are real peaces of beauty. You can find free parking at the place, the cafe has a very nice design and the the museum provides an audio guide explaining the history and the works of art at the place After the museum you can find the glass shop where you can find beutiful glasses and vases for a bit of high price but the quality is amazing

A visit to the Moser museum glass factory is well worth the trip. Although the factory is small, we had an english speaking tour guide who explained every aspect of the process in detail. The tour ended in the shop where you could buy various items handmade in the factory. They were quite expensive, however, after seeing that every piece is handmade it is understandable why.

Interesting park! Soos Nature Reserve A nature reserve, curiosity and European rarity in one! The Soos National Nature Reserve lies not far from Františkové Lázně. The vast peat bogs with lakes, mineral springs and gaseous carbon dioxide springs are reminiscent of a prehistoric landscape. The most interesting places include a nature trail that leads directly above the bogs along meandering wooden walkways. You can see a natural geological park, a museum dedicated to the local nature, the history of the Earth and an exhibition of life-size models of prehistoric animals. It also shows the flora and fauna endemic to this species due to the specific geological conditions of the soil and subsoil.

Really interesting place - incredible sights and smells created by the water and gas coming up from the ground.

A far cry from the Yellowstone but peaceful and interesting. Dogs are welcomed. Also, very close to the German border so, if you're in Germany, and you miss good food, this is a good excuse to come visit and go eat afterwards.

Beautiful place for a walk. Not expensive, very unique. Beautiful views. There were few very people people, you could fully enjoy the qiuetness. The staff is helpful, the toilets are clean.

Really beautiful nature reserve! The walk was a bit shorter than I expected, but it was really interesting and beautiful nonetheless. There are signs with information and a little museum. Little entry fee to go onto the trail, totally worth it. Highly recommend when in the area

Beautiful piece of Carlsbad's region. The way is approximately 1.5km long and along the way there are some pieces of information about the place. It is more than suitable for family and it costs only 90Kč per person.

This amazing monument is a powerful reminder of the past and history. You can really feel the strong emotions when you’re there. Be prepared for lots of staircases—there are more than 350 steps, and some of them are in narrow, tiny hallways. It’s definitely not for claustrophobic people, but there’s an elevator that takes you up part of the way, though it doesn’t reach the top. It’s a great place to visit during the summer or spring when the weather is nice!

A stunning monument that witnessed through its history empires, kingdoms and republics coming and going…. A must see by everyone who loves history! Fabulous views to the city as well as relaxing beautiful park!

This intense and impressive monument is a MUST SEE if you are in Leipzig. The scale is stunning and is reminiscent of the Mines of Moria in Lord of the Rings. There are multiple lifts but if you want to get to the top viewing area, you have to use the stairs and it is a little walk. No bad, but most people emerged a little winded and sweaty. The sweeping views of Leipzig are great and, if you go on a sunny day, you can see many miles/kilometers in every direction. Highly recommended.

A really impressive monument. It really makes you feel the enormity of the event being memorialized much like the World War I monument in Kansas City. There was a feeling of heaviness about the monument and it made me feel retrospective. A very nice visit. A stroll through the cemetery nextdoor is also warranted.

the monument to the battle of the nations in leipzig is a massive, seriously impressive monument commemorating napoleon's defeat in the 1813 battle. it's one of europe's largest, and you can climb to the top for panoramic views of leipzig. inside, the huge stone figures are really powerful. it's a bit outside the city center but easily reached by tram and definitely worth a visit for its history and scale

Very pretty church inside, and amazing cold-war era history to it. In fact I think one of the Stasi has been working in the Church since the wall came down judging by his manner when I visited a few weeks ago. OK so I was taking a photo (apologies as I never realised that taking a picture of a building that is dedicated to a make-believe figure is disrespectful, and I don't remember seeing Thou Shalt Not Take Pictures In My Holy Buildings in the commandments when Charlton Heston brought them forth from high upon a Hollywood hill somewhere), but this guy was just plain self righteous and rude. Be polite, and treat us mere mortal sinners as human beings. We make mistakes so why not forgive us our trespasses. Hmmm....where have I heard that phrase before?

If you're visiting Leipzig, St. Nicholas Church is an absolute must-see. While it's historically and religiously significant, it's also an incredibly meaningful place in the history of music—making it especially memorable for those who love music and the arts. I’ve visited two years in a row to attend performances during the Bach Festival, and each time was a rich and unique experience thanks to the world-class music and the special atmosphere that only this venue can offer. Located right in the city center, the church is easily accessible and surrounded by plenty of other attractions and dining options within walking distance.

OK, I must confess that this is a place with a very specific focus (JS Bach) and purpose (to draw us into the life and music of Bach) - and I happen to be a Bach junkie. Having said that, it is a beautiful church and the Friday/Sunday concerts are excellent (and packed). It is helpful to realize, however, that everything is in German, and that Leipzigers are not as proficient in English as others in Europe.

While it feels strange to “rate” a church, I choose to do so in order to help maintain awareness of the importance of this church both as a place of worship and with its important place in music history. This is, after all, the church where Johan Sebastian Bach’s masterpiece, the St. John Passion, was first performed. During his many years of tenure in charge of the liturgical music for all of Leipzig’s churches at the time, Bach would have performed, directed the choir and written music for this church on numerous occasions.

It’s a highly historical place for the German reunification. It’s the place where protests were located and German people in the GDR gathered to stand up against the socialist regime. It’s a must see when in Leipzig! It’s free to visit but 3 Euro for pictures. It’s wonderfully renovated and colourful. Sometimes you even have the possibility to listen to concerts.

Beautiful church, which is best known for the weekly peace prayers that started during the Cold War and continue to this day. There is a small exhibition about this prayer movement.

Beautiful church with stained glass windows. We had the pleasure of attending a musical showcase with the Thomanerchor Leipzig. This was such an amazing experience. When visiting remember to also look up at the domed roof and admire the small intricate designs.

Bach's church where he worked and lived, and is buried. This is a must-see If you are in Leipzig. The interior is beautiful with stained glass and various carvings and ornamentation. The church and connected buildings are very large. I saw a couple school groups here.

Seeing Bach's church was the reason we came to Germany and it didn't disappoint, at least according to my Bachophile son. It was easy to buy tickets at the door and you could easily see the whole thing in 30 minutes. But very contemplative and it's fun to imagine history's greatest composer walking those same steps. I'd recommend bringing some headsets and Bach albums (although the museum next door had ample samples) as it was silent when we were there. There's a few interesting artifacts from Bach.

I visited this church in March, 2025. I was deeply moved to visit this church, so rich in history and positive energy. Moreover, I felt the timelessness of Bach’s notes resonating throughout the space. It was truly thrilling! 💖

Beautiful church with excellent comprehensive guide in English. Don't miss the Bach artefacts in the small room on the right of the main entrance. Interesting stained glass and contemporary Bach organ. For those following Martin Luther, there's a window of him with Frederick the Wise and Melanchthon.

st. thomas church (thomaskirche) in leipzig is famous for its music. it's where j.s. bach worked for 27 years and is buried. it's also home to the legendary st. thomas boys choir (thomanerchor) – try to catch their weekly performances (motets) if you can. it's a beautiful, historic church and a must-see for any music fan in leipzig

This is one of the must see places in Leipzig. The place is temple for music and prayer. The art work and high gothic domes and the vibe is positive. It’s great to see that this was a great place for Leipzig music history.

Biggest train stations in Europe lots of stores and restaurants to choose from that are mostly all good plus a lot of railways definitely a place to visit for tourists from Germany or other countries.

The largest in Europe.. 😍 Best train station I have been! 👌 With multiple railways and connecting Trips to offer.. A Subway can also be found in this big trainstation... And no worry for having a long connecting Trips, a mall is also within the Station. Various Restaurants and Shops available..

So far the nicest Bahnhof I've seen in Germany, always busy with people passing through and people just coming to shop. As it houses so many great stores to shop in over 3 levels with so many things to see and amazing food options. You can't come to leipzig without seeing it as it is the main train station. Even made more lovely around Christmas or as they say Weinachten, as lots more food stalls open up.

This Is the most amazing zoo I've ever been to. It's so big with the kids. We could only see a portion of it, but the jungle experience especially with the boat ride was so cool. All of the exhibits are wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone to visit the zoo. Easily one of the best zoos in the world.

Leipzig Zoo is one of the best zoos I‘ve ever visited. Large enclosures. Many events throughout the day. Amazing infrastructure (you can find maps, sign posts, and directions for a tour that leads you through the entire zoo everywhere). They also don’t solely focus on the animals as mere entertainment but seek to inform kids in playful ways about preservation/biology/even physics in the aquarium. Leipzig Zoo also provides a variety of restaurants and snack bars that are evenly distributed across the entire Zoo. I wholly recommend visiting, whether alone or with friends and family. It’s an amazing and informative experience!

Best zoo in Germany especially with huge greenhouse of tropical forest and self moving boats along river with warm climate. Highly recommended for both adults and children alike

This zoo park was fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone. There is so much to see and you should have water with you because food and water prices there is too expensive. WC is free which is very good. And I suggest you guys to go early there, zoo opens at 9 am and closes at 7pm. As I mentioned earlier there is lot to see so you probably will need some rest. And one good thing about this zoo park is that you see animals without any borders and it is kind of crazy but it is safe. So enjoy with your trip everyone.

Zoo Leipzig is a great place to visit with kids. The grounds are very clean with almost no smell, and there are nice play and climbing facilities for children. A fun and family-friendly zoo experience!

This zoo is arguably the best in Europe. The animals have the freedom to roam, creating a more natural environment, and plenty of dining options are available. Don’t miss the chance to watch the monkeys and explore Gondwanaland. It's truly a fantastic spot for some quality time with your children.

The main Lutherhaus is currently temporarily closed but we could visit the absorbing exhibition Literally Luther (Buchstäblich Luther). It gave lots of insight into Luther the person rather than as church reformer. The attached photos are from the exhibition as seen in May 2025.

Unfortunately the house-part was closed because of renovation!!:((( ( In Germany they renovate a lot of things in the high season!!!!) But there was another exhibition in the other part of the ex-monastery. The building is amazing and the exhibition is very interesting. I got a lot of new information about the group who worked with Luther they made me imagine how they translated the Bible. I can recommend if you are in Wittenberg!

A very important stop while visit Wittenberg! Located at the beginning of the main street of the historical area, Lutherhaus will transport you in time to experience what people at that time use in their daily lives. Also, this museum has a largr collection of Luther's writings and pictures. The house also tries to portray and explain the living conditions of that period. The house, plus Luther's sayings as well as the whole collection of objects will give you a better understanding of the life of one of the important figures of the reformation. Highly recommend. Single ticket 8 €, combined ticket 10 € (Luther House + Melanchthon House )

Closed for Reno but one can still walk into the courtyard and they've put up a comical history of Martin Luther's marriage.

Really informative museum of Luther’s life and religious legacy. You can find the house after walking through this large stone gate - picture added. The museum itself chronologically outlines major milestones in Luther’s “career”, you could say. It is astounding to see what one person’s courage could do for an entire religion.

What a cool piece of history. It was good to walk and see where Protestant history was made. It was also a surprise to us at how cool the town is! You can definitely spend the day going into shops and eating at restaurants.

Visiting this place is definitely a must! Located at the end of the main street of the historical area of Wittenberg, this place is of extreme value not only because at one of his doors Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis, but also because his grave is inside the temple, at the back, under the organ pipes. The entrance is free. Take your time to admire every single detail of this treasure building in terms of architecture. Highly recommend. Ask for a guided tour, it will broaden your experience! Also, you can go up in the tower for 3 €, where you will have great views of the city.

This church became a symbol of resistance against the authority of the Roman Catholic Church and received support from German princes, strengthening Lutheranism as a political force.

Absolutely fascinating. Excellent museum to be found attached to the church, with some of the best audio visual demonstrations I have seen, by that I mean they are easy to use and in several different languages and capable of being tailored to suit the user (eg magnified if you don't have your glasses :-) ). The Tower is well worth the climb with magnificent views over the city and surrounding countryside. Martin Luther's grave is in this church and this is the church he nailed his famous theses to.

Nice Therme with 4 Saunas, a quiet area which I didn't like because it was rather uncomfy with cheap blankets and a bad smell. Beds were also not supporting relaxation in the lake sauna. The library relaxation area is a little nicer but too small. In the lake sauna, you probably always find a seat because it's huge, and you have a nice view over the lake with the possibility to walk directly into the lake after the sauna visit. Especially during winter, quiet refreshing. The other area with the Saunas was good. Here, you have a live infusion, whereas in the lake sauna, it's automatic. There is also an ice area and two walk through showers for gold and hot water. The pools for my liking where all too cold and I didn't spend a minute in there. Overall a nice experience but there is potential to make it even nicer and a little more comfy.

Overall very underwhelming. Kitchen closes at 7pm, food is very expensive and of low quality. The only thing that is enjoyable is the lake sauna. Rather go to Vabali in Berlin for an experience 10 times as good at the same price. Terrible lighting concept, no customer experience design.

Great idea to escape busy Berlin for a day and just relax. Easily reachable by public transportation, the train station is just 10 minutes away walking so don't be afraid to go without a car. All facilities are very nice, pool and sauna and steam baths are the best and the bistro is totally worth it!

A bit further out from Berlin, so I can not get there as often as I would like. It would be great to go once a week and discover everything that they have to offer. The saunas are my favorite, such a nice mix of options and many great programs at regular intervals.

This place is a great place to relax. You can reach the place quite easily with the train and a short walk. I s there during Easter and while it was running at full capacity, it still felt quite empty so that relaxing was actually possible. This is really a highlight since in the other options in Berlin like Vabali or Liquidrom you feel like sardines packed in a can. The employees are really friendly and try their best to make your stay pleasant. Food options in the Therme itself were very limited and overpriced, but options in the hotel annexed are okay. Overall, great experience.

Very relaxing place, with various saunas and pools to choose from. I was here mid March but the cold did not matter in the warm pool outside, under the full moon. I have enjoyed it a lot and plan to go back as soon as possible.

The worst experience ever! The receptionist was rude and disrespectful. We only took 3 bathrobe sets but she entered 2 more into the bill without our consent. They refused to do anything when we asked for a correction, and fooled us to pay the whole amount by promising return the overpaid items to our bank account. The next day they changed their mind, said the only offer they can provide is two free sets for our next visit. How can we still trust such a company who lied and even stole from customers? Of course we won’t visit again! If you expect rudeness and arrogance, that would the a suitable place to go!
