Awesome museum ! I highly recommend doing a guided visit. You will go underground and see how a charcoal mine is. The guide was very nice and very informative.

This museum is a former coal mine. Super interesting to visit if you pass by and you are interested in this kind of stuff. If you book in advance a guided tour (organised by the museum), you will also have the opportunity to visit a replica of the mine galleries, which includes a short underground train ride (underground facilities are not open to visitors with a regular entry ticket, guided tour only). Suitable for children. Everything is in French, though.

Very interesting bit of French/European history. The guided tour we took was in French, didn't ask if they offer in other languages but you can visit everything top side without the guide.

I have mixed feelings about zoos, I went because my company organized a visit. First time in my life I've been in the presence of a gorilla, no more than a few meters away. First time I've seen a gorilla eating fruits and.... yogurt? This gorilla was being hand fed by the owner of this zoo, Mr. Pierre, he was feeding her inside her room it was fascinating to see. First time I've seen a lion run firsthand, and very upclose. And last but not least, first time I've heard a group of 10+ chimpanzees quarreling, calling out and "screaming". This zoo gave me a sense of humbleness and some sort of primal fear I've never felt before. It made me realize how majestic and imposing these animals can be, yet how beautiful they are too. I liked the back story too. I hope they are truly living up to their mission. I'm still thinking about what I saw.

Very nice zoo! The zoo was larger than I expected and had a nice range of animals. I really enjoyed seeing the Sun Bears and all of the monkeys.

What a great zoo. Never seen so many active animals at a zoo before. The tigers and lions were magnificent and playing with each other rather than just sleeping or pacing. Good close up viewing with all the animals. Also it's obvious that the zoo is expanding their enclosure space so it'll be interesting to see what it looks like the next time we return. Well worth the entrance fee and we will definitely return when we are in this area.

Good zoo close by Lyon. The zoo offers some great species of animals, but I think the price is too high. You can spend a couple of hours here, but the park is small and completed within 2 hours. We missed a bunch of animals, despite taking the time to spend extra time in the park after finishing the route. We missed the coatis, servals, binturongs, dingos and some more. Very poor habitats for some animals and some animals did not seem to have any space, like the ocelots. We did really enjoy seeing the snow leopards and the arctic wolves. The park smells bad in a lot of places and the hygiene in the toilets is just bad. For such a price we expected clean toilets somewhere, but it was very poorly maintained. Parking is free. €18,50 is too much in this case, but it’s not a total waste. Hopefully it is being used for future wellbeing of the animals.

Conservation focused zoo with quite a lot of interesting primate exhibits (amongst a lot of other types of animals). Big enough that you can spend a few hours here but also not so big that it has to take up your entire day. The zoo is positioned up a hill so there is some elevation change during your walk through but the park is entirely accessible (wheelchairs of course, but that means also strollers too Mamas… even enough room through entrances and pathways for huge American double strollers). And the layout of the enclosures up the hill allows for really good viewing of the animals in their enclosures.

When I visited it was a free admission day. The museum is impressive, good quality exemplars , exhibition are for every age. On the roof they have a nice cafe and you can enjoy the view from the top.

This is by far the best museum I have been to. The exhibition, the design and the presentation are very modern and easy to digest. Plan plenty of time. We spent almost 5 hours here and it was not enough.

If you’ve ever wanted to touch both a meteorite AND a fossil without getting kicked out of a museum, this is your chance. Don’t hesitate. A brilliant museum all around: science, history, culture & more. There’s something for everyone.

This might be one of the best modern museums I went to, really! It's very complete and I think kids would love it- there were a lot of enthusiastic ones when we went, at least. Their permanent expositions are very well detailed and easy to navigate, they're mostly about natural history, anthropology and culture, not much art history, or at least I didn't find one. Everything has french and english explications. On the entrance to each permanent exposition, there was a guide who would give a general feel of the pieces, and they could speak English too! Their temporary expositions were interesting and very well done, we went to the Amazon and the dreams ones, both very interesting. We didn't have to pay extra for these. They had elevators for all stages, and there were a lot of audio explanations too. On the terrace there was a lovely - albeit a bit expensive - cafe, with nice views. If you're not hungry, the terrace is included on the ticket price anyway, so you should go at least for the view. A must see in Lyon, for sure!

Amazing exhibitions. This was my second time here and it felt like the first. Thoughtfully arranged and curated museum perfect for all ages. The current Zombies exhibition is one of a kind.

Interesting permanent and temporary exhibitions with lots of interactive elements - especially liked the Species wing of the permanent exhibits. Ticket price was reasonable (12 Euros) and the 4th floor outside terrace views are worth the price of admission! Oh yeah, and it has the most innovative shape for a museum!

The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière is one of Lyon’s most iconic landmarks, visible from almost anywhere in the city. Personally, I usually find the interiors of Orthodox churches more spiritual, but this basilica’s interior really amazed me — it’s beautiful and inspiring. The exterior is just as impressive, and the panoramic view over Lyon from the top is fantastic. You can get there easily by tram, or hike up if you prefer (which I’d also recommend). Nearby, the Roman Theatre and archaeological site are free to visit and very well preserved. Both the basilica and the ruins are definitely worth seeing.

Arriving late evening in Lyon, our Uber driver took us here on a quick detour to our hotel ‘because it is so very beautiful, and you guys can see view of Lyon skyline from there’. Indeed it was a beautiful Basilica, majestic even in the dark of night. Indeed it was an impressive view of Lyon. Very grateful of him, blessed his soul. I got the chance to go back the next morning, and although did not got the chance to go inside, my appreciation grew even more about the opportunity to visit. A must go when you are in Lyon. If your hotel is not nearby, they have tram from the city center that stops directly in front.

Beautifully located on top of a hill, and Best to take an Uber to get there. There is also a vista point on the side of the church with great views of the whole city. If you can walk down the hill, you can visit a nice museum with an outdoor Greek theatre. You can also take a short cut and walk the stairs down the hill

Lovely place to visit in Lyon. Get a day ticket for € 6.90 and couple of trains later you are there. Beautiful views of the city (sunset as well). Basilica is amazing. Don't compare it with Vatican however it is grand in its own way.

It is a marvelous place to visit even when you are not Christian. The interior of the basilica Notre-Dame of Fourvière in Lyon, is tremendously high. The walls are astonishing and it drops your mouth down to the floor. I have not taken many pictures inside because my eyes were focused on all the tiny details in each stunning things my eyes would lay eyes on. If one thing to visit in Lyon, it clearly is there and Paul Bocuse Market^^.

What a beautiful basilica one has the pleasure to see, adore and to participate because during our vist a mass was held. The church has an endless history to show, not only in the holy Christian sense but also in its rich architectural designs. A real treat to be there.

Until you take your breath away, what an impressive basilica it is. A great architectural construction. It is definitely worth a visit. And to pray in peace. May St. Mary be vigilant.

Really enjoyed my visit here - so many interesting exhibits and things to see. I think the best part is the fact that the films referenced and the props from the films are films that are very well-known, not just random French films. Would highly recommend to people as an activity in Lyon, however my one small issue was that we bought tickets in advance but still had to line up in the same queue as everyone else, so buying a ticket in advance was fairly pointless, only decreased the price slightly. But other than that really loved it.

AMAZING! I think should be a must do when you visit Lyon with kids or just if you like movies and a different type of art. They have created incredible mini and real size scenes from movies and normal life things! A different way to know history as well! We went without tickets and ending paying less because they have a family packet. If you are 2 adults and one or more kids, it is definitely cheaper.

Worth visiting. You should go and see everything they placed in the museum. At first we enjoyed the props & artifacts from famous movies. However what we liked most is the miniature room, carefully detailed and amazinggg

Incredible and unique museum. They have some really cool pieces from films, which are still interesting to look at even if you haven’t seen them. The miniature section was a good surprise also—they are so detailed and realistic! While it is a bit on the more expensive side, it’s worth it and it is an independent business.

Walking through this museum felt like stepping straight back into my childhood (I was born in the mid-80s), and it was nothing short of magical. From Star Wars to Batman 1989, from Aliens to Beetlejuice, the collection is packed with iconic treasures that instantly spark memories of the films that defined an era. According to one of the staff, the Darth Vader mask here is the only original one on public display today, that alone is worth the visit! What sets this place apart is how personal it feels. I love the great art museums of France, but this was different, so much more relatable. Every piece triggered a wave of nostalgia, reminding me of movies I adored and had nearly forgotten, and reigniting the sense of wonder that first made me fall in love with cinema. These films came from the golden age of moviemaking, where practical effects and early CGI blended to create timeless magic that today’s movies rarely capture. Seven floors are filled with cinematic history, and while you can see it all in about 1–2 hours, it’s the kind of place where you’ll want to linger at your favorites. For me, highlights included the Darth Vader helmet, the full Batman 1989 suit and vehicles, the wonderfully complete Beetlejuice exhibit, and the jaw-dropping animatronic Alien that makes you feel like you’re right on set. Seeing Thor’s hammer (Mjolnir), Iron Man’s glove, and nods to classics like Indiana Jones, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, The Mask, and even Fast & Furious only added to the thrill. If you grew up with movies from the late 80s through the early 2000s, this museum is pure nostalgia wrapped in cinema magic. It’s a time machine back to Saturday nights at the theater or trips to Blockbuster, and it will leave you smiling long after you leave. I can’t recommend it highly enough. As a bonus, all the staff that work there are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate! Update: the top floor which houses the miniatures was closed when we arrived for renovations. If this is important to you, come back when they are completed.

At first I thought it was quite expensive, but it was really worth it! They had original sceneries, props costumes, and of course, the miniatures, which were really amazing to see. Everything was really well indicated, it was easy to navigate, even with our bad french. Some of the items haf indications in English, but not all. All props had access for kids to see, too. It wasn't crowded when we went, it was a Tuesday, so we could enjoy ourselves in our own pace and there was no need to book in advance. Don't miss on the patio outside, which is free and really beautiful as well!

fantastic experience! is very interesting and fun, perfect for people who loves cinema! staff is very friendly and they speak english very well so its perfect for tourists. there is a toilette in every floor, and also a dog bowl! i enjoyed it a lot!!

We had a great time there with our son of 6 years old. It's not too big, but still many animals to spot! Besides animals, there are also many attractions for the little ones! We had a great day.

Great day trip for all especially in July and August when the water park is open. New slides in the pool are excellent for kids under 7 and new games are fun. I highly recommend it.

More for children, not really for the animals We saw a zookeeper use a fire extinguisher on monkeys from the side to keep them appart We had to pay for the waterpark too, eventhough we did not want to use it. It was all in the price and no other options were available, it was misleading. But he parking is free.

I visited Touroparc Zoo a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my birthday, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! What made this experience so special was how hands-on it was. Unlike other soigneur experiences where you barely get to interact with the animals, Christophe made sure we were involved and engaged the whole way through. You can tell he genuinely cares for the all the reptiles and takes great pride in sharing that with others. We had the chance to see so many incredible species up close, and he gave us a fascinating look into what it’s really like to work behind the scenes at a zoo. Thank you, Christophe, for making my birthday so memorable. Your enthusiasm made the visit come alive! Highly recommend this experience to anyone, whether you're an animal lover or just curious. Truly a 10/10!

Very! nice park but absolutely ridiculous how weird they are about the height in the attractions, when accompanied by an adult. I was not allowed to drive the horses attraction with my baby who really got to love this attraction in Parc le pal. We stood 15 minutes in the burning sun. When it was our turn he pointed at the sign saying my baby should be 90cm. At Parc le pal we did this attraction multiple times without an issue. This ruined the moment. All other safe attractions you can do as parent with your kid, is not allowed, really frustrating. The wild water attraction or the mono rail are allowed :/ Please check your height restrictions... Everything else is really nice, but above gave everything a bad taste.

We visited on a cooler weekday in September and the place was very quiet which was perfect for us to see all the animals It's clear the animals are well cared for and healthy The rides and water park looked good but they were not available this late in the season

The VIP and Soigneur experiences are totally worth it. We have done the VIP visit twice and the both times was super amazing. Highly recommended. We chose to do the Soigneur experience in the reptile house and we're extremely happy with our choice. It was very very interactive and we learned so many interesting facts from Christoph. Thanks so much for the amazing experience with Curu, the snakes, lizards, iguana, crocodiles, and turtles!

Beautiful Abbey. The 3D displays and movies show how splendid this Abbey has been. Audiotour recommended

Used to be the center of Christendom. Mostly ruins, but still lots there to see. Amazing digital recreations of the Abbey. Never really understood that until the 1400's this was the largest cathedral in Christendom - much bigger than St. Peters of that day. A combination of religious politics and the reformation in France changed all that. Much of the Abbaye was destroyed during the reformation. The digital exhibit expertly guides you through the transformation of the Abbaye over time.

Cool Abbey with a nice history. Surprised at how influencial it was over the years. Audio tour worth getting though it's a little clunky.

Layers of history are on display, with excellent 3D displays showing past-to-present contrasts and changes. Look out for the freestanding screens placed around; move and touch them to see the hidden layers. It's cool even on a very hot day, so it offers a break from the summer heat.

Going there was not super planned for us on our holidays. But it absolutely was worth it! The place is spectacular. Super big with nice explanations and visuals on how it looked once it was build. We were really in the atmosphere of medieval period !

This beautiful little town has a lot to offer if you're cruising through the back roads of Burgundy, and the Abbey is a spectacular way to spend the day if you enjoy history and ancient buildings. Besides the ruins and restorations, there are 3D films and models to dazzle you. Don't skimp on adding the Tour des Fromages toi your visit (spoiler alert - it's nothing to do with cheese). Don't be put off by the declaration of how many steps there are to climb, the view is worth it.

It is unfortunate that a majority of the place was dismantled and sold off. The place is in a constant state of renovation. There was a nice film explaining the history and the audio guide helped walk us through what was left on the place. Stepping outside and seeing where the footings are represented on the ground shows the shadow of the size of the Abby at one time. So little is left that I don’t know if the money to learn about it is worth it.

The food is realy horrible. Vegetables taste bad, nearly pureed. Pasta was hard (burned) burgers were dry, hardly any Meat on them and french Fries are extra. Le comptoir des colibris is as bad as the park is good. Bring your own food and enjoy the beautifull park

Generally a beautiful park, very green and nicely designed when it comes down to aesthetics and topics. Parking was easy and well managed. Loads of staff trying to fill the parking lot in a way that makes sense, friendly and clear in their expressions. As with any park, there is a lot of walking involved and especially for small kids you'll need to be prepared to bring a pushchair. The toilets were absolutely yucky. I was only in the men's toilets, but it smells of wee everywhere, you're literally walking in it, the whole floor is covered in it. I know men can be yuk but some of those toilet I really wouldn't be surprised if they haven't been cleaned in a while or are leaking. I have never seen so much dodgy liquid on the floor. It really reeked. Some toilets have massive queues, not just the ladies', also the men's toilets. What surprised me though is, that our friends' daughters tried to get to the ladies and were trying to find a free cubical and three (!!!) ladies were so rude and pushed them out of the way. (which would be another downside, in some toilets you can literally see the cubical doors when you stand on the path). Shops/coffee and food stalls are understaffed. Particularly during high traffic periods. I.e. there was a bird show to begin in the arena and there was a massive (seriously, it was huge) queue trying to get in. There was a food/coffee stall with two windows, only one window was open. One lady was working and the first thing she said was, that she had no coffee as they ran out. When the show ended, the queue at that shop was huge, by then the second shopkeeper didn't make much of a difference. Same with the bbq restaurant we got there just before the lunch storm hit and we already had to wait about 20min to get our order and the queue started just behind the door (so really not long). By the time we finished and walked out, the queue was around the corner alongside the building, who knows how long they had to wait. One till. Having two people using the same cash machine is not really efficient. They'd need at least 3, then the queue started on the pick-up side, because the chicken needed longer cooking times. So all in all not very efficient. Two coffee machines (you get a coin at the till) but one machine had an error message in French (needed maintenance, but was still working), that many people couldn't read nor knew how to get rid of the error message. So people started queue on the other coffee machine. A few other food stalls were closed, it was a hot day, I think about 34°C. Hardly any shade anywhere. So in order to get some drinks, a couple of grown-ups had to walk through half the park to get something for the rest of the group, as we tried to find shade with the little kids. If you are not planning the visit ahead, try to avoid too sunny days. Bird show was OK. A bit disappointing that they have so much staff in that arena but then decide to just play a boring recording and then let the birds fly. Other parks actually talk about the birds and give facts about the specific birds on display, also are interactive with the crowd. Here you just sit down, a tape plays, trainers let the birds fly over your head, then they sit down in the middle of the arena and all birds walk out like in a circus good-bye. Not impressed. The range of animals is quite impressive. And beautiful birds, that seem to be kept in good conditions and clean. Butterfly house, and there was a penguin/fish area, which unfortunately was shut down and we couldn't find access to the Australian area with the kangaroos which our daughters desperately wanted to see. The only path we could find to go there seemed to be closed with a gate but no further information. It's also advisable to follow a set path. Going to see what interest you may be too chaotic and it's easy to get lost in the park. Also walking everything multiple times is suboptimal. Oh one more thing... to get out of the park: ONE (!!!) turnstile. Why they didn't just open the bloody gate is beyond me. We had to QUEUE (!!!) to leave the park. Ridiculous.

Good place to spend the day with the family. Make sure to buy your ticket ahead of time or you may be waiting in line for a long time. They are not very organized. The place is in need of renovations, bathrooms are old, dirty.

Our 3rd visit to this park. We love it. Our kids love it. My folks love it. Always something new to see. Always clean. The birds and other animals seem happy and well cared for. Saw one of the shows this time - for the first time - and it was brilliant. We will be going again on our next trip to the area.

Wonderful experience! The bird park is quite good, clean, safe for kids! I recommend. We even bought annual card for 45 euros.

Pérouges is a beautifully preserved medieval village that feels like stepping into a fairytale. Cobbled streets, stone houses, ivy-covered facades — every corner is photogenic and full of charm. It’s not big, but that’s part of its beauty: you can wander slowly, take in the atmosphere, and imagine what life was like centuries ago. There are lovely artisan shops, small cafés, and a few restaurants where you can enjoy local specialties — especially the famous galette de Pérouges, which is absolutely worth tasting warm with a bit of sugar caramelized on top. It’s peaceful, authentic, and only a short drive from Lyon — perfect for a half-day or slow afternoon escape. Go early or late in the day if you want to avoid crowds and enjoy the serenity of the place. Highly recommended for anyone who loves history, quiet beauty, and timeless villages.

A lovely stone middle age town, nice for taking a walk but became a bit commercial.

It was quite an interesting tour of this great medieval city before Christmas time. The restaurants and cafes were all decorated for Christmas, and we tried mulled wine in one of the places. At this time of year the city is not so crowded with visitors.

Very interesting place, with a 3-4 restaurants which are full around lunch time, but you can have pancakes with ham or Nutella on the street. It's a beautiful Medieval town, especially during the Autumn because of the colours of the falling leaves.

I could not get enough of this beautiful historic place. I was. Awe around each corner I walked. Simply beautiful. Bring you best pair of waking shoes and a lot of space on your phone to take pictures.

This place is very beautiful and has not a lot visitors. One day trip would be far enough to enjoy entirely of this village. I stayed one night (Wed) and there is no restaurant opening for dinner.

This church and Abbey is one of the best preserved in France. It is surrounded by it's own walls and gates which gives it an impression of a fotres. Already in the 6th century a church was built here in a place where there used to be a Roman castrum or army camp. The Abbey got a boost in 875 when the remains of Saint Philibert were put to rest in this church and gave it it's name. The church is sober on the interior but has some interesting mosaics behind the main altar. At the entrance is a small exhibition. The Abbey has a nice central courtyard

One of the most amazing churches I have been to, and I have been to hundreds or thousands of them. Beautifully restored, but not too much changed from its original state. Wonderful natural light. Not too crowded. Amazing architecture. Interesting, beautiful town that is not too touristy (at least in January, when I visited). Great, inexpensive lunch at the restaurant just outside (to the south of) the main entrance. If you like old buildings or Romanesque architecture, you should not miss Tournus.

Very beautiful monastery with a rich history, unsurprising given how old Europe is. And this one has been well maintained, even hosting music and arts shows outside of just the walk around tour of the monastery itself. Obvious ongoing upkeep and restoration work is happening which is great given that this monastery is close to 500 years old. Doesn't look a day over 300. 🤪

A beautiful historical place where to spend a pleasant and interesting couple of hours. The architecture is impressive, the place is big and there is plenty of things to see: the church, the various rooms, the ancient tools used for the building, some historical facts etc... there was also a room with an art exhibition. Spent a wonderful afternoon there!

This place is breathtaking. The outside is beautiful and the inside is just amazing. Definitely worth the price of admission. Plan to allow yourself at least a few hours to enjoy and take in all the art, artifacts, and architecture this place has to offer.

Well maintained monastery and church with a very interesting history. The church hosts the graves of Philibert II., his mother and his wife Margaret of Austria, which are great pieces of art from Flamish sculpturers.

Stunning cathedral with a very unique roof displaying the colours of the Duchess of Burgundy built between 1506 and 1532. The monastery is behind the church.

A painfully over-restored castle. The newly restored right tower is not a sight to behold. Inside, however, many interesting details are still visible. Also of interest is the building's vertical open section, which reveals the medieval structure.

I loved this castle! It is well-restored and has an interesting history. It's wild to imagine walking on floor tiles that have been in use for maybe 900 years! There is just enough decor and information to give you a sense of the castle over the centuries... It feels a bit like a treasure hunt, following along with the story of the former inhabitants and the renovation process. Don't miss the lower level with the story of the renovations. The video at the end almost made me cry. Keep an eye on time because they do kick you out for their lunch break! The medieval garden was so well-tended, we loved all the happy herb plants with their corresponding labels. I also loved the colorful tiles in the bathroom. It's amazing how the visitors center was designed so as to be essentially invisible when approaching the castle. We also really enjoyed the saunter through the town to get to the castle. What a charming place! It's a great value for the price of admission... We paid 6 Euros and we were there for almost two hours. Would have stayed longer!

Fantastic castle with great audio visuals in 4 languages. Excellent exhibition detailing the recent renovation and lovely walled gardens. Perfect mornings entertainment for the family. Tremendous views of the surrounding countryside.

This is a very well maintained beautiful small château that has an audio self guided tour as well as regular tours (check with chateauneuf team for hours and languages). The small village where the château is located is a very quaint village with beautiful stone houses and quite a variety of small restaurants where you can havevlunch, dinner or just an apéritif or a coffee break. Checked some of the menus andcthe prices were quite reasonable . . Definitely recommended !

It is not expensive to visit, which is fair as a lot of the castle is not available to see. There are a lot of videos to watch about the renovation work which are quite interesting. There were a couple of primary school classes visiting when we went, so it was often difficult to see anything. It's not somewhere I would take the smaller grandchildren as it's quite bland and a lot of reading to do to understand it. Parking in the very pretty village and toilets near the gift shop.

Went with the family during our holiday. Kids (4 & 7yrs) loved it. Free entrance for kids, adults was not so expensive. (6eur p.p) (The souvenir shop itself was quite expensive) Keep in mind that between 12.30-14.00 visiting is closed. We spended ~1 hr in the château and also ~1hr in the village. Lovely place for a walk and some ice cream. If you have the time, take the full tour of the fortress. If not, enjoy the majestic renovations and the view. Carefully: avoid walking under the oaks- the caterpillars are toxic.

Really loved the audio guide that gave great information but was entertaining the way it is done. Took us about an hour and a half to go through and a great picture of the non wine history in Beaune. Especially liked the pharmacie room and the presentation of every day life in those times.

This was definitely the highlight of our visit in Beaune. The building used to be a hospital for poor people and is now very well restored. Entrance fee is Euro 12 - you can book online or pay at the spot. The roof and the building itself are very beautiful but they cannot be seen from outside. You need to purchase a ticket. I am glad we did.

Truly beautiful: the roof, courtyard, musuem displays, the numerous works of art. Very well curated, easy to understand the history and acts of charity carried out here. Great place to learn about how medicine was practices since the 15th century. Well restored and well presented. Their audio guide is an excellent teaching and learning tool, especially the “if you would like to learn more” green button.

Step back in time of old style hospital. Magnificent building with a tiled roof you can see best from inside the large courtyard. Well worth the entry fee. Booklet or headphones self audio tour are included with ticket price.

Working for a Hospice charity, I enjoyed seeing the granddad of Hospices in Beaune. This town was caring for the vulnerable from before my country was even discovered. Amazing tour and worth the ticket price to enter.

A must have seen in Beaune. Yes the roof is great. But for me the history of the very old hospital and its foundation fascinates me more. You get an audioguide, which I highly recommand. The tour is about 1 to 1,5 hours. A lot old hospital furnitures and equipment. Entrance was 12€, which is ok for such an historic place!

Cool and iconic in Dijon... easy to find. It's nice to find it without Google maps to make it for Cool... just follow the signs on the street floor.

A modern old town, just follow the golden arrows for sightseeing. The shops are neat and orderly. I saw people slipping after the rain because the floor is slippery. It is recommended to wear shoes a good shoes. There is a restaurant that supports Down syndrome. I recommend you try it.

Palm-sized and polished by countless hands, the little owl carved into Notre-Dame’s wall turns a side lane into a ritual. Touch with your left hand and make a wish; the brass pavement plate with the owl logo marks the stop and small arrows carry you along Dijon’s Parcours de la Chouette. This is the route’s namesake and most photographed moment: modest stone, big civic idea. I like how the trail knits small details to major landmarks - marker, brief engagement, onward wayfinding - so one carving speaks to grander sites across the old town.

Super nice tour especially for kids which are keen on discovering the next owl of Dijon on the way. All nice attractions can be seen on this journey.

Great mid evil city with not a lot of tourists. Great wines from around the region, many fine restaurants and a truly great French market place

Loved randomly following footpath markers to discover iconic landmarks in Dijon. You can buy a €4 map from the tourist office and do it in an organized manner or just set yourself a challenge to see how many you can find on your travels.

I like it - brings good luck if you place your right hand on it :) A tip from a local: Once there, make sure to check the rooftop of the building to the right of the owl, you'll find beautiful owl and cat.. keeping an eye on the city ;) (photo below)

The rooms are beautiful. Lots of classic old works, a few modern works, so not very impressive for me. Admission is free, so it's worth seeing the architecture. Beware, there's a trap on the first floor, you'll never get out without asking... we weren't the only ones. Fortunately, the lovely security staff are there to help.

We were greeted by very friendly staff who explained the museum's layout. This museum is large, entry is free, and there are several floors of exhibits to see. The grounds around the museum are picturesque as well. Enjoy!

A free art museum! It was a treat, of course. I'm not an expert, but I think their collection was very good, based mostly on the Duc's collection. Don't miss the Duc and Duchess's tombs! Everything was in french and it wasn't very crowded, even on a Saturday and even with people fleeing from the rain, like we were.

The Best Things in Life Are Free Well, that’s certainly true for the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dijon. I first discovered it a few years ago while tracking works by Vieira da Silva and Nicolas de Staël—and since then, it has become an almost obligatory stop on the way to or back from the South. Just three hours from Luxembourg, and each visit brings something new. This time, a megalomaniac Chinese painter exhibited right in front of the tombs of the Dukes of Burgundy—a juxtaposition as unexpected as it is striking. And if you’re traveling with children, don’t miss the fantastical animals of Pompon. A place where history, discovery, and wonder are all free of charge.

Incredible museum. Very rich collection and well displayed and organised. Free to hold your bags in lockers and the staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommend visiting here!

The Dijon Museum of Fine Arts is well organised and an example of a must see museum outside of Paris, London, etc. There's everything from beautifully curated medieval art to sculpture to art and photography of the 1900s and 2000s. As a bonus, it's free to enter. Most definitely a not to be missed attraction in Dijon.

Just around the corner from our apartment was the gallery, it was fabulous, great works of art, by all the usual suspects, paintings and sculptures, a good 2 hours will suffice this wonderful painting by Tissot was the icing on the cake

Beautiful hike and falls. We went on a public holiday, which made it quite busy. Although it was still very enjoyable, would recommend going on a weekday or a regular weekend.

Nice hike yet quite a lot of people on the “main route”. Keep you eyes on the map when leaving the waterfall route for a longer hike, a wrong left turn might turn into a loooong walk….

Very nice place for walk and kids hangout. Remember there is one parking above and then you walk down, another parking is down and you walk up. If you are with kids preferably go to parking down. Feb 2024

Quite crowded but not without reason. Several lathe and small waterfalls can be viewed and experienced from a will maintained path. Though mostly easy to walk with stairs were needed, it can be sometimes a bit steep and slippery. Because there is only one trail along the river and the trail at points only allows one person, when crowded it is easily jammed. Don't forget to bring some food and drinks with you if you venture past the first waterfall. There is plenty of parking space (paid).

Beautiful waterfalls and walk...would definately recommend it for a day trip. It could be quite difficult to walk parts of the route if you had limited mobility as there are many steps and slippery rocks but you can choose how far you walk. On the route we took I couldn't see any restrooms or restaurants which were open unfortunately

Nice cascade. Unfortunately, it was almost dry because of the hot summer. -2 stars because of the parking lot for which you have to pay (5 euro 1h). The first 20 minutes are free, but it is almost impossible (without running) in that timeslot to walk to the waterfall and back

Absolutely stunning waterfalls. Make sure you wear good footwear with a lot of grip as it's quite slippy in places. Also it's best not to go off on the longer walk in the forest without a map as it is really easy to get lost! There are multiple paths and they are not sign posted once you get away from the main walk along the gorge with the waterfalls.

Site unique as it combines an industrial effort and an architectural utopia. Excellent support to the visitors with modern interactive audio and visual guides. Definitely enjoy the various side gardens.

Striking architecture with gardens of equally stunning proportions! The different sections of the garden were interesting to vistit and nice to see the sustainable approach with lots of natural habitats for wildlife. I hope to come back soon!

Loved it. Museum, very well maintained. Spend prox 5hrs here..cloudy, rainy & sunny day... With family (2 kids - 4 & 7yrs) with the HistoApp on the provided tablets searching for golden coins in chests and in the meantime get the glimpse of history. Got them engaged for the full 2.5hrs in the museums and another 2hrs in the gardens. Cherry on the cake were the gardens, one adventure after another one. So much flora to be found here very diverse fauna. If you like flowers, garden inspiration and history this is the place to see. Parking during high season (mid july) might be a challange (free). Parking is suitable for campers on main parking, there is a 2nd parking lot where high vehicles (2mtr+) are prohibited.

A wonderful and beautiful place, as much for its historical interest as a UNESCO heritage site, as for the botanical garden spaces, curated in an attractive and accessible way with lots of information. Not to be missed if you are anywhere near.

A really fascinating place to visit. The architecture and history of La Saline d’Arc-et-Senans are impressive, and the museum does a great job explaining how the saltworks operated. The grounds are quiet and relaxing—perfect for a short walk. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area.

Really well worth a visit, we did it as a rainy day filler but am so glad we did. Was €7.50 euros and food value for money. Highlights for me were the gun emplacement, the spiral staircase and the deep, deep well hole but all of it was good.

We visited Chateau joux by chance, passing it by car and found ourselves in awe of the view. We quickly decided to take a detour and pay the castle a visit. We did not regret our choice at all. The staff is very friendly and even if you dont take a guided tour, guides stand at certain locations giving you explanations if you wish for it. The history, the view and the staff made our visit very worthwhile. If you happen to pass this site, we highly recommend a visit. Just drive up to the castle parking and enjoy your visit!

Exciting castle with interesting history. We went there before the main season, so we had to attend the guided tour in French supported by an English booklet. An OK experience, but we wish we'd understood the French guide who seemed very enthusiastic, and all the French tourists laughed a lot 😂

Big castle, interesting, however many many places closed to the public, everything is French only, many parts only to be visited with a French only tour, limiting the experience even more. It can be beautiful and interesting, but it is too bad it is closed off in so many parts and it is missing the services for non French speakers. Personel in the castle was rude to children (9, 7 and 4) who looked into an open door (cost 1 star).

Very very great castle! And such a Great visit! Very interesting history and good value for money activity. I had no idea what to expect but all the « expectations » were far exceeded! This is a strong recommendation and I give a special dedication to the staff on site. All of the guides, front desk people and even the security guards were exceptional and deserved all of our appreciation. Recommended!

Beautiful castle with rich history. We took a trip with the kids - 8 & 5 - and were able to make our own tour for about an hour and keep them interested along the way.

Gorgeous hike up and down, but your knees have to be fit enough! About 14km, took us 5h up and down including a break and stops to watch the animals and nature. The views at the top are stunning!

Beautiful hike and very customizable to the people you are with. The food at the different restaurants is amazing and the views are breathtaking. Even though it was very hot the day we went, the tree coverage protects you from the worst heat. Recommend to go in the morning though!

You can hike from the city of Noiraigue. Depending on how fit you are it will take more or less time. I needed about an hour and a half to reach the top (and the trail is steep!) but it is absolutely worth it. It is a great place to visit and I will certainly go again someday! If you are not that fit I am afraid this is not the place for you.

Magical place. I was there for stargazing. Nice, dark skies. Biel is visible though. But the atmosphere makes up for it.

Great view but hard trail to hike up How to get there? If you take public transportation, you get off at railway station: Noiraigue. The way up: you will turn left, then right, then you follow the signs to sightsee spot: Le Soliat. That are two paths upwards: I took the right side one, it is relatively long, but not so steep. Be careful that the way up is very nature, you will need good hiking shoes! Plan more time if you have kids with you. It took us 3 hours to up, and 2 hours downhill. The path is quite rough and tough, I warned you 😂 If you drive there, it might drive up to the restaurant Le Soliat. Please call them to verify. I would recommend this way for my next visit.

Wonderful. There is the papillorama with warm weather and man butterflies, the nocturama with night animals and the space outside. Outside you have a small animal parc where you can pet the animals and a quite big playground. They also have a restaurant with warm foods, salad buffet, pommes, pasta, or a small sandwich as well as desserts. Can recomment

Really fun stop for all ages. Coming right at opening many animals were out walking around and close. Bird and butterfly houses were really cool. The nocturnal house was hard to see, but also really cool.

An interesting collection of 1000+ butterflies, and of exotic animals and vegetation. The nighttime area was a new aspect for me. The visitors are mostly families with small children. The parking costs an extra 4 CHF paid at the ticket counter.

I recently visited Papiliorama with my family, and it was a fantastic experience for both kids and adults. The venue is beautifully arranged into three main domes: Butterfly Dome: A vibrant sanctuary filled with fluttering butterflies. Nocturnal Dome: A fascinating space that reveals the mysterious side of nature. Jungle Trek (Belize Themed): A lush, tropical pathway that transports you to the heart of the Belize jungle. Every part of the experience felt seamless and magical, making it a perfect destination for a memorable family day out. Highly recommended!

A great day out with the kids, but it's really all about the main butterfly dome! Here’s our quick summary: The Great 👍: * 🦋 The Butterflies: Simply breathtaking. Walking in a dome with hundreds of butterflies landing on you is pure magic for all ages. Worth the price of admission alone. * 🐐 The Petting Zoo: Kids loved being able to walk right in with the goats. A fantastic, interactive experience. * 🌳 The Canopy Walk: The bridge high up in the trees in the Jungle Trek dome was a fun little adventure. * 🚂 Train Access: Super convenient, the station is only a 5-minute walk away. The Could-Be-Better 🤔: * 👃 Nocturama (Night Dome): This part was a let-down. It had a very strong, unpleasant smell and it was so dark we could barely see any animals. We didn’t stay long in there. * 🛠️ Outdoor Areas: Besides the great playgrounds, some of the grounds feel a bit tired and could use a little refresh. * 🚆 Travel Time: A heads-up for anyone taking the train from far away (we came from Geneva) – our journey took over 2 hours with multiple changes. A car would have been easier. Verdict: Go for the butterflies! It's an unforgettable experience. The other parts are a nice bonus, but not the main draw. Enjoy!

Beautiful experience, especially with kids, all these butterflies are mesmerizing, the jungle treck and the bocturama are really fun and the outdoors are really well thought out. A lot to discover and learn. These kinds of businesses are important to support, they bring entertainment, fun and education for all ages. We often go whenever we drive by.

My husband and I enjoyed this place a lot! It does make me feel a piece of home, Belize. There’s a section called “Welcome to Belize”. How nice! My husband and I also visited the butterfly garden in Belize. I would visit again!

Such a great experience! We went there by a total chance and I’m so happy we did. Kids were amazed the whole time- recommend to everyone if you are in area. Pro-tip: if you come on the first Sunday of month- entry is free! Have a walk in citadel, museum, check out the Lion… there is plenty to do and find out. Also, views from the top- amazing!

Beautiful place with A great view of Belfort and the mountains. I thought you gave to pay everything but that wasn’t true. You can just walk to the fort, go up, enjoy the view and walk anywhere nearby. Also in the summer it is a good place to get some sun, because there is plenty of grass where you can lay down and enjoy the sun and the view.

Amazing sculpture at the top of the mountain. Be ready for lots of stairs. Around the statue, there are nice walks around the fortress

Located in Gerardmer, this beautiful quiet glacial lake offers stunning views over Vosges mountains🏞🌄. It is located at 660 meters altitude and has a maximum depth of 38 meters and a mean depth of 17m. It's waters are cristal clear, and they are the home of many fish species like carp, roach fish, pike and trout🐟. You have the opportunity to walk/hike around the lake or to rent boats (there are 3 or 4 boat providers and 2 that offer lake tour with bigger boats), to eat icecream or have dinner or lunch on the shores of this lake. Although it is surrounded by mountains and it seems like a place where no water sports can be practiced, it has on it's shores a sports center where teens and children learn different water sports🚣🏄‍♀️. It also has on it's shores an aquatic center with a natural pool and a beach🏖. Visiting in May this wonderful city and region, I am pleasantly surprised and impressed by this beautiful lake. I can't wait to come back do do the lake tour by foot🚶‍♀️, and to hike on the peak of one of the mountains to see the lake view🏞 that i have heard about..

Small but nice lake, enough to spend couple of days of vacation here. Can rent the pedal boat to have a short look around (1 hour 16€). Or just walk on it's perimeter, won't take longer than few hours. Camp is there too, also you can find a casino and cozy tables with benches for a picnic. The lake itself is quite clean, allowed to fish and swim.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Nearby is a nice playground that is suitable not only for big kids but also for toddlers.

Super nice activities for children (~2-10 years) who like playing outdoors and discover adventures. Very relaxing atmosphere and a great experience overall. Definitely worth the money!

A very beautiful park and museum. The gardens are pretty large (although not humongeous, you won't need a full day to explore it all). Some places are currently being renovated. The only downside is that the entry is pretty expensive but it's not unexpected.

Park is beautiful. Textile museum interesting and « grande chaufferie » clever way of using a disregarded industrial building.

And as before, attractive place to do your shopping. Parc de Wesserling has a lot more to show but, I just went to the 'Super U'...

I lived in Alsace for years and I was surprised by the beauty of this location. Waterfalls, hills, forest with a lot of charm. If you like hiking, this place is for you.

Was a great afternoon out. The exhibitions were interesting in the main building, and the gardens were stunning! WARNING! The exhibition in the other building is NOT for people who have a problem with heights! You're supposed to go in at the top and work your way down. I couldn't even tackle the ramp to the entrance without getting giddy! Insider tip...you can go in via the door on the ground floor. Well worth doing.

We’ve been coming to Fraspertuis for 3 years in a row now, as our village is nearby. It’s a great park for kids — fun rides, clean environment, and a nice family-friendly atmosphere. However, one thing that keeps bothering us is how calculative the park is with kids’ height. Of course, we understand safety is important, but the pricing system based strictly on height can be a bit complicated and feels unfair at times. It would be great if the park could simplify or reconsider this policy. Overall, still a lovely place for a day out with the family.

Fraispertuis City is an amazing little theme park. It’s pretty small, so you can get everything done in half a day or less, but they still have a lot of rides here, including some pretty special ones like Golden Driller, a unique drop tower with 4 different drop variants. The whole park is very clean, prices are fair, the staff is very kind, operations are quick and the atmosphere is nice. On my visit, there was a surprising amount of people in the park, but lines were still short for every ride, and I really rode a lot during my 4 hours at the park. If you’re in the area, definitely come by for a visit, it’s worth it.

It was such a pleasure to visit the park. We were lucky because it happened to be a day when there were very few visitors but it gave us a chance to really enjoy the rides. We were impressed with the variety of rides, how clean the park was and how polite and friendly the staff is. We plan to make it an annual family tradition to visit!

It's a perfect amusement place for kids. The rides are mostly directed for kids but adults can still very much enjoy them, so the parents can enjoy the rides with their kids. It's a great place for a family day out.

A small scaled theme park with a „wild west theme”. Very good for young children and adults. Beautiful machines and nice friendly employees even with English.

Small park but a lot of attractions seen the size of the park. Some cool faster attractions. Food and drinks not too expensive. We went on 15/8 and it was not crowded at all. EV charging is possible and went very well, but making a reservation upfront is necessary (paid 15 eur, without restrictions on kW charging)

If you are a train fan, reserve 3-4 hours of your time to see everything. For everyone else: at least 2 hours to just walk the whole thing. Fantastic collection, large and diverse. Great for all ages; there are educational sections, too, to learn how trains work. Entrance was 16 EUR, which, in my opinion, is absolutely reasonable for the content you are getting. There is a local restaurant on site where you can eat for 15-20 EUR per adult, drinks included. Very easy access by public transport: 20-minute tram ride + 450-meter walk.

One of the most amazing museums I’ve ever visited! 3 hours went by without noticing and both us parents as well as our 5 year old kid had loads of fun! Totally recommend this place!

Great train museum showcasing the history of trains and French public transport. The collection is huge and very well maintained.

If you like trains and history it's really worth it. I think you can spend 2.5-3 hrs easily with a normal speed of going around and see everything.

Nice railway museum with lots of examples of former trains (including various record-breaking locomotives and TGV trains!). There’s a gift shop and restaurant. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Visiting this museum truly felt like an authentic journey back in time. The sheer variety of the trains on display was incredibly impressive; I honestly never imagined that locomotives and passenger cars could be so stunningly beautiful. I was especially fascinated to learn about the most luxurious 'apartment trains,' which were essentially rolling homes complete with sleeping rooms, dining cars, showers, and even private cabinets. It was a genuine surprise to see how many domestic comforts were available on the rails, historically and perhaps even today. What truly sets this museum apart is its immersive organization. It’s not just a static collection of old trains, but a thoughtful presentation of a specific historical era. The museum does an excellent job of creating the atmosphere of the past by installing various figures to simulate scenes of travel and daily life. While I would agree that the figures themselves weren't always aesthetically perfect, the recreated scenes and detailed environments successfully brought the history to life, offering a powerful sense of context and time.

As descripted, one of biggest railway museum. Collection mapping mainly french rail history, wich is luckily also world history. Interesantly and complexive. I mean here is possibly everything (about french history in any case) , exept Andre Chapelon´s SNCF 240P class (some other is). For me is it Must see!

If you’re a fan of classic cars, this museum is a mustsee. The collection is vast and seems endless, with many beautifully preserved vintage models. During my visit, there was also a special Tintin exhibition, which made it even more enjoyable.

This was a quick day trip for us while staying in Basel. Amazing collection of automotive history and well worth spending a few hours to explore. The collection of cars from the Tintin books was very cool, particularly if you're a Tintin fan like me!

DEFINITELY A MUST if you're in Mulhouse area, east France. The fact that Musée National de l'Automobile has an collection of more than 400+ cars ranging from more than 100 years ago, is amazing itself. Not to mention they have probably the world most complete collection of Bugatti, like almost a hundred of them. And one of them in the Masterpiece area, the 1936 50T Cabriolet, is now the world most expensive vehicle, worth 100M Euro !!! The details of it, and the idea of building a luxury car back to almost 100 years ago, is really highly admired.

One of the best car museums i’ve ever been. It’s really worth every penny you’re paying for it. Tons of great, rare and unique pieces you will find there. Nice location, brilliant realisation. All cars are in good condition, and like in any other real museum, you can smell oil, gasoline and old leather from them. If you have kids or you just unbelievably love cars, you’ll be happy there

Millions of dollars worth of cars, and they couldn’t get a decent translator for the placards? Honestly it became kind of amusing just how bad the English translations were after a while. The cars are stunning, there is no denying that. Arguably the most complete collection of vintage Bugattis in the world (but surprisingly no modern ones - no Chiron, EB110, not even a Veyron? Maybe they’re locked away somewhere else) 1/4 of the cars in the main hall were covered in white drapes due to construction. To the contractors/ museum officials, I say to you: “ plastic sheeting comes in transparent forms”. Overall a vanity project of a (now dead) rich white guy but there’s some stellar automotive and racing history laid out in these rooms. You’re in Mulhouse, you’re likely gonna go.

Quite possibly one of the greatest car collections in the world. The outside is Beautifully presented... Upon entering the building you have no idea of how overwhelming this place can be. As you begin walking around and seeing a few cars you get lulled into it being a normal museum.... But then you walk into the room with a few Bugattis... You keep walking and seeing more Bugattis... Then you realise, one whole side is just Bugattis 🤯 Then you see the Bugatti Royale.. and realise hold on the have two Bugatti Royales 🤯 .. This place is crazy the sheer number of Bugattis and special cars is crazy... Then the story of the Schlumpf brothers ... Simply put, if you are a car lover you must come here... It's epic.. The shock value never diminishes even after multiple trips

One of the best car collections I have seen. From old to new and some extremely rare peices. We spent about 3 hours in here. There were lots of other things inside to keep children entertained too. There was a section all about Tintin which showed the different books and the cars linked to it which was nice. There was a driving simulator, small ride on cars and a vr F1 experience.

This zoo os great with kids. The surounding are made with so many details in mind, everything is green when you walk around. My kids and I loved it. There is great food stations too, amany animals. Especially the aquarium part is super big and nice too. The only downside, its in the middle of the city of Basel, a little hard to get too.

Love love this place- I went pretty late (4-6pm). Although I skipped the crowds, some of the animals were already in their enclosures (not in exhibit), but it didn’t detract from my joy of being there. Loved the vivarium, farm animals, snow leopard, flamingos, meerkats, and penguins. I would have loved to be able to see the new hippo baby though :(.

Zoo was good for a city zoo. I don't want to spoil it so only posted a miniscule amount of photos. I loved going into the bird house. It had some levels to it so find the elevator or stairs. Spent from just after 9am until 4pm.

It is very convenient. With stroller we could go through the whole Zoo. We were lucky we could see all the animals. They have huge space in the restaurant & also banks everywhere to sit.

A very nice zoo – not too big, not too small. There’s a great variety of animals, and even on rainy days you can enjoy several indoor areas. We always love coming here!

It's a very strange and beautiful place. They let the penguins walk freely in the zoo. However, the path was very clean. The staff there were very kind. Everything was good. I was there for 6 hours and I didn't want to leave at all. It was very enjoyable to be with the animals. I wish they were free in the wild, but the animals are having fun there too. The animals are definitely happy there. I recommend you to go there to enjoy being with nature.

What a lovely zoo- lots to see with a variety of animals. I particularly liked the giraffe enclosure. There was also a lovely coffee shop and gift shop near the entrance.

Definitely worth the visit, the building is beautifully crafted. If you walk behind the building you will have an excellent view overlooking the River. Lots of people were having picnics and relaxing here.

Solo travelers are not allowed to climb the towers, for suicide prevention reasons. You can find another tourist and ask to accompany them, but without the employee seeing this. Don't let them know you are strangers. There's a small fee to climb the towers and it's well worth it. Basel Minster was built between the 11th and 16th centuries in a blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles. After the 1356 earthquake, it was significantly rebuilt incorporating Gothic elements such as pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and large stained-glass windows. The cathedral is made of red sandstone and is notable for its two main towers, St. George’s and St. Martin’s, and its patterned tile roof. The Minster served as the Catholic cathedral until the Reformation in 1529, after which it became a Reformed Protestant church. The Gallus Gate at Basel Minster is the oldest Romanesque figure portal in the German-speaking world, built around 1185. In the tympanum is Christ as Judge of the World, accompanied by Peter and a donor figure, while the lintel below shows the Parable of the Ten Virgins. During the Reformation in Basel (1529), iconoclasm took place at Basel Minster as part of the city’s shift from Catholicism to Protestantism. Religious images, statues, and altars that were seen as idolatrous were removed or destroyed. The interior today remains relatively bare compared to its original medieval design.

It was originally built in the 1000’s as a Roman Catholic Cathedral and became a Protestant church. There’s no fee to get in the church but there’s a fee to go up the top. Behind the church is the Rhine River.

Don’t miss the chance to reach the top of the church. While climbing, it might seem like you’ve reached the end, but be sure to check—there’s a good chance there’s a way to go even higher."

Had a free walk around then spotted people paying to go up the towers. We tried this for a small charge and it's well worth the steep steps to go to the 3 levels available. Bit tight at times depending on how many people go up but numbers are controlled.

A very beautiful and nice cathedral! You can have an amazing view over Basel from the top!

Basel Minster is absolutely worth a visit! I’ve climbed several church towers across Switzerland, but this one had the narrowest spire staircase I’ve ever squeezed through! It’s a bit of a tight spiral toward the top, but that only adds to the adventure. Once you reach the viewing platform, you’re rewarded with panoramic views of Basel, the Rhine, and even into France and Germany on a clear day. The cathedral itself is beautifully maintained, with intricate stonework and a peaceful courtyard. It’s a perfect mix of charm, challenge, and postcard-worthy scenery. Don’t miss it!
