This zoo was beyond our expectations, it has several species of animals that one may not found in every other zoo. It is a tropical zoo with animals from Asia, Africa & South America and many of those are rarest animal species. It has really nice playgrounds and cafes too. One can easily spend 4-5 hours here.

Do you want a jungle adventure without breaking the bank, this place could be for you. 3 bio domes houses numerous fish, birds, insects and animals like monkeys, Sloth, Crocodile s and many other. We visited this place in start of June and had a great experience. Familys with children will have a splendid time here. After your adventure you can enjoy some food in the cafe or visit a shop with merchandise. I recommend this place for children in all ages and for all interested in biology and animals.

Generally good. But you can tell that the zoo is coming into its years. Way too crowed!! People are pushing through with their big kiddie bicycle trailers or huge prams. It’s also very loud even if signs are asking visitors to be quiet. Still kids are loving it and the new outdoor area is nice.

A must see if you are visiting the area! I was really surprised by the diversity of the ecosystems on display here. Each space was beautifully constructed and everything seemed natural and wild. There were a lot more animals here than I had expected. The info cards about each animal were a nice addition and I learned many new bits of trivia during the visit.

I love Randers Rainforest even though I live in Copenhagen I have now been there twice, this last time on my own so that I could take my time. I want to go again soon.

This is how a zoo should be! They way they build the zoo is briljant everything seems to be one. A little ledge zo the turtles dont run away but you can step in with them. A little house with a window with big cuddly cats, a cave with bats where they nearly hit you head, really cool! pro tip, if you have binoculairs bring them! To see the birds upclose is even cooler. Another tip, my pregnant wife needed a few times to sit. And everytime you do you wil discover new animals, so take your time. All signs have English on them and they have really smart signs with al the animals on them you might wanna take a photo of them zo you can cross off what you found, a little where is Waldo. We came around 13:00 and parking was really full, we had to wait til somebody left. We waited 5 minutes so not that long. We spend like 3 hours and took our time and had a little lunch. And we forget to see the animals outside… I saw that in the other reviews. Sometimes the signs on the doors are a bit demotivating, something Danisch stands on the door and it probable says you may not eat in there and pet animals but if you cannot read it it could also say dont go in here. Will come back!

Beautiful park, some areas could need a little touch-up / love, but we absolutely loved it. There is something for everyone. I especially adored all the attention to details. A dog bowl in Lego etc. Halloween isn’t really a thing where we’re from, so we were surprised to see the whole park decorated. (Since we forgot that we were going in the week of Halloween) It was a pleasant surprise and made the whole experience feel magical. The prices change when pre ordering tickets depending on date, it was wise to order them with a discount online, the day before we went.

We just visited during the autumn holiday and had an absolute blast on the rides! The atmosphere was great, and we treated ourselves to some delicious churros too 👀 I was also there in summer and had such a fun time - especially on the water-themed rides like the canoe and the pirate boat 💦 Always a great day out! Even during holidays the lines aren’t bad - the longest we waited was about 20 mins. Highly recommended for kids! ✨️

A fantastic place for kids and families! The park is cozy, creative, and full of fun details everywhere you look. I recommend going on a day when it’s less crowded – it makes the experience so much better (we loved being able to walk straight through the queues without waiting). The attractions are varied and suit all ages, from the smallest rides to the bigger roller coasters, and of course the incredible LEGO builds all around the park. It really feels like stepping into another world. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Denmark, and I’d recommend buying your tickets in advance to save time at the entrance.

This place is so fun my 3 children had a blast. They have many rides that even my 1 year old can go on, providing that we held her in our lap or sat next to her. The rides are diverse, the line ups were not too long. All in all a fantastic experience. Only criticism would be we should have had 2 full days to see everything, it's a lot if you only have 1 day.

We visited in September, and Legoland was a bit of a disappointment. It’s the oldest Legoland, and you can tell - everything looks a bit faded, there’s some cobwebs here and there, and it’s not very clean overall. Inside there’s a great big LEGO store, but the prices are higher than in the Netherlands. It only really makes sense to buy the limited editions - though, to be honest, they’re not particularly exciting either. Overall, if you’re traveling from another country just for Legoland, it might be worth considering other destinations. But don’t forget - there’s also the LEGO House in Billund, and that place is really great.

Fun for a whole day for both small kiddos and adults. Plenty of spaces to sit down and eat the lunch you bring (and you should bring one, because food in the park is expensive). The Atlantis sea world part was very cool with live fish aquariums to look at. We were there on a Friday in October on a mostly cloudy day and it was the perfect amount of people - we only had to queue for the biggest thrill rides and even then only 15min. All other attractions was max 5 minutes wait, so we could even do all rides multiple times if we wanted to. Pay for parking in advance for smoother experience.

Founded in 860. You must see the baptismal font- 1400s, the beautifully carved pulpit built in 1596/7 and the controversial Carl Henning-Pedersen frescos decorated 1983. An amazing space. Plus there are three organs.

It happens to be the first day open of 2025 for this big adventure park. It is the biggest adventure park in Denmark. My two girls and their cousin can’t wait to get there. We got there around 11am and left till 6pm. It is not very busy today but probably because they were closed during winter and just back today so some rides got technical issues to be fixed. It happens 3 times during our time there. Specially one of the popular ride called The Dragon, my girls waited for more than half hour, then they had been told they need to leave as there is a issue need to be fixed, but they did not offer any fast track pass for those who waited long time there at all. In general, the park is very good and fit all different ages’ need. We had great fun there although when the rain started, it was really cold as there has no indoor rides and no many indoor rest area.

We had a great visit here! Not only were the staff amazing from even before we came, helping with tickets and questions, but the staff in the park were also so friendly and helpful. We had to barely wait in line for most rides which is ideal!! The park has a great variety of rides for all stomachs. There is something for everyone! Trampolines and great picnic facilities and grills areas you can book and use for free. The park was tidy and the day was great!

Had a fantastic day here. Went on a Sunday after the school holidays ended and it wasn't busy. Longest wait time was about 10 mins. Got to try all the rides we wanted to go on and even had down time to sit and chill and use the tramps. Recommend a visit here!

Excellent attraction park. Our kids enjoyed Sommerland more than Legoland. There are so many options for all ages. Park facilities are very well thought and organized. Many food stalls from various cousines. We will come back.

Absolutely amazing place! It really is like you are back in time. It was so interesting walking around fully immersed in the past. You could maybe spend all day here if you really took your time. My favourite thing in Aarhus and possibly the best musuem I’ve been to!

A wonderful step back in times past, representing many eras, cultures and historic events. Great for the family and history buffs. This spacious recreation is thoughtfully laid out walking through the Vikings to 1970s in the form of Main Street, museum of artifacts, village recreations and country estate with authentic trade shops. Historic coffee and bakery from the 1800s was inviting and delicious. Preteens may not appreciate the historical context of Aarhus, said to be the first civilized port of the Viking era. Well maintained and mostly accessible. Loved our visit

The absolutely beautiful museum took me back in time. I loved the 1970s themed arrangements the most. We had the perfect opportunity to visit during the K7 week too. Watch out for the ducks, they chase you!

What a fun experience. See housing, shops and vocational skills from several different time periods. Well maintained, picturesque area, and friendly hosts. Cute gift shop, too, that offers a variety of options from candy and toys, to kitchen gadgets, books, and ornaments.

Our first stop this morning was to The Old Town Museum (known as Den Gamle By). It is a museum that allows visitors to have a feel of the architecture and culture of the different eras – particularly the years 2014, 1974, 1927 and 1864. Even the streets have been remodelled accordingly with the cobbled streets belonging to an older era and smoother streets to the more modern era. You will see that the entire Old Town museum in Aarhus is immersive in that you can enter different buildings and learn about the history of that particular building. There are also period actors that would perhaps be a blacksmith, a backer and even a brewer – whom you can interact with to learn more about what they are doing... Den Gamle By is a very cool experience. We spent over 6 hours exploring all of the homes, businesses and gardens that have been recreated/ reconstructed. Good variety of food and drink options as you make your way through. Quite a lot of interactions set up in many of the exhibits, and the rotary phones you can use to call businesses in the town are such a fun idea.

Stepping into Aarhus Old Town is like time travel! You'll love wandering its charming cobblestone streets, admiring the beautifully preserved old buildings. It's truly an open-air museum, brimming with Danish history and a delightful, authentic atmosphere. Don't miss this captivating journey back in time!

The building itself is pretty cool. Some of the exhibitions are nice. They have headphones but only in Danish. The roof top sky walk is fun to take photos of.

suppose I hate modern art as most of this was dreadful to my eyes. I did like the landscape paintings and a few others but most of it was weird, bad or just utter nonsense. The two women cutting onions was the biggest joke they called art. I don’t get the rainbow roof either, so what? It’s tinted glass, for kids or Instagram/TikTokers it may be good but not for adults.

I was a bit disappointed from the expectations as they do have 10 floors but in reality only 7-8. The highest floor has the rainbow colored glass and This is definitely the best part of the museum in my opinion. 2 levels below it as the human art which was decent. The floor below it was okay. And all the other floors wasn't worth checking out. 2 floors were for a younger audience. So if you're going as a family it may be worth visiting all the floors. If you're all adults. You may not stay there for super long. They have a cafeteria and toilets as well as Free WiF, they have a button that slows down the rotating door which is good for bad walkers or wheelchair usersi. It's not a bad place but not a super interesting one either in my opinion.

Beautiful museum. A lot of stairs, but there are elevators available for people with difficulty to walk. We loved the interactive art area. We appreciated that the front desk employee warned us for a scarier exposition on the third floor, since we brought our child. That way we could avoid it. What could have made the experience so much better would be if they’d implement a play area for young children. Young kids can get bored or overwhelmed and it would be nice if they could de-stimulate in a play area/child friendly area. That way someone can watch the kids in the play area while the other can enjoy art in peace. The rainbow panorama is very noisy. This could trigger you if you’re sound sensitive. Best is to bring some kind of noise cancelling for a better experience. There was so much amazing art in this museum. It’s definitely worth a visit. Parking is a bit difficult. We went on a workday and there were very few parking spots available.

This museum is a hidden gem. There are 9 floors full of different kinds of art, and the collections never felt too repetitive like the large world-class art museums sometimes do. Floor 0 and all the installments must be checked out; our favorite was the Storm Room haha! I think total I spent 4 hours here, but I went back later in the day before it closed so luckily you can break it up a bit if you need to.

A great museum for a wide range of art, from paintings to 3D sculptures and the rainbow circle of glass on top. The building itself was super cool, especially the internal «courtyard» in the middle with its bridges spanning across the ravine. Enjoyed my visit and will def revisit if I get back to Århus!

A visually stunning musician with an already huge reputation for arts and culture. One of my favourite nutrients of the year! This lives up to every expectation set; accessible, huge, interactive, fun for kids, insightful, visually stunning and such an education. The Celtic exhibition was really special, and the attention to detail was incredible. The thought that has gone into these exhibitions means it's somewhere I will always come back to when I visit the area. I've read about the performances also outside which look incredible too.

To see each and every part of museum, you need at least 4hr max more then that. Really a awesome place to visit at weekend. Entire museum goes like a movie, each and every place you can find explanation.

What a wonderful museum! Great display of Viking as well as middle ages relics. Nice life-size diorama. Very good films. Everything with English text and/or English audio. Nice experimental things for kids to playfully learn with. The building itself is a work of art. The tour I took, in German, about the life of the Vikings was so-so to useless (if you have watched Vikings or Valhalla, then you don't need to take the tour (not worth the money... it costs extra).

I visited Moesgaard Museum on a weekday, and it was absolutely fantastic. You can easily spend many hours here, both indoors and outdoors. The surrounding nature is stunning, and the museum itself is a true gem for anyone interested in history and architecture. A highly recommended place to visit – I would gladly return🤩

Super interesting museum, huge place with lots of different depictions and quite a bit of story behind every corner of it. Would recommend dedicating a full day to it as there is a lot to see. The Grauballe Man, which is a bog body older than 2000 years, is really a special thing to see.

Absolutely worth visiting — one of the best museums I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to many). You can’t get the real feeling just by looking at pictures; you need to hear, touch, and explore here. I agree that it might not be the best choice for small children, but with enough time, parents can still make it interesting for them. Plan for at least five hours (or more), and it’s a good idea to take a few breaks — or even split your visit over a couple of days. It would be great if there were a playground, like in IKEA, where parents could leave their kids for a couple of hours. I don’t expect to find German or other translations in every museum, so I’m very grateful that everything here is translated into English. Thank you for the great work! We’ll definitely come again, and I’ll be recommending this museum to my friends.

A wonderful and fascinating place — a must-see! I would give 5 stars, but there’s no section suitable for small children, which makes it a bit difficult for families with young kids.

The restoration of this old castle is unique and worth seeing just for a completely different approach to restoring and protecting a heritage building. Definitely worth visiting.

13th century castle on a hill overlooking the town and the castle lake. It is probably Kolding's most famous landmark. If you want to see the castle from the inside, you will have to spend a lot of money. The entrance fee is quite expensive. You can pay in advance online or on site at the ticket office.

Interesting mix of old and new architecture. The castle was partially destroyed in a fire in 1808 and was rebuilt in the 20th century in a way which preserved the original building but also clearly showed the modern parts. One of the highlights for us was the Flora Danica table service. Just amazing. The princess gowns were lovely. There was even the possibility to dress up as royalty yourself. There is a cafe on site. There is parking near the castle but the castle is also within walking distance from the center of town.

Nice castle, the floral porcelain table ware was amazing. I also liked the replica clothing. The lace making looks very hard.

The Kolding Fortress or "Koldinghus" really is an iconic landmark for the city, It being destroyed back in the 1800's has still had a good restoration. Overall it's a good museum and has a great view on the top with the Hercules Statue remaining intact, it's overall a location worth visiting if you're having a transit through the city of Kolding.

This was under serious renovation at the time we visited. Although looking back at the history it seems to have spent more time like this than not! Was a nice casual look around, the way the modern elements slotted into the existing fabric was nothing short of breathtaking.

A very nice zoo, where they take good care of their animals. Informative signs with a lot of fun facts. The biomes for the rainforest species and penguins are amazing, but bring a cardigan if you want to stay for feeding time in the latter, it's quite chilly (as it should be)!

Super nice zoo, the animals are well taken care of and they have a good time here. The park is nice to walk through, sometimes it is a little impossible to follow the main trail via the map. But that just makes the adventure more interesting. I am totally in love with the king penguins, they are so big! For me I feel that the enclosures could be a little bigger but I am not an expert after too course.

Really cozy place, animals are in a really good condition and have clean enclosures. I would recommend to buy a ticket online, so you don’t have to stand in the queue for tickets :)

Such an incredible zoo! There were so many animals to see and it was clear that they were really well looked after. One of the true highlights of Odense.

Beautiful zoo, the main route to follow is clear, plenty of food/drink stalls, and you had the possibility to walk in (or around) some animal area's to really get close to the animals.

This is probably the number 1 attraction in the area, and yet you don't need to be there long, and it definitely stirs mixed emotions. On the one hand, it's really cool to get to walk through a submarine, the engineering, the equipment, the pipes and valves, the electrics and communication, etc. are all fascinating. So, too, is a view of how the crew slept and ate in such a cramped space. But then the sombre thought that these guys were killing your guys, never really leaves you. Lest we forget.

A fantastic visit to the U-995 submarine in Laboe! An educational and informative experience about naval history and World War II. The submarine is clean and well-organized, with clear explanations. Perfect for families and history enthusiasts.

The Uboat gives an excellent insight to the life on the narrow boat during second worldwar and after. It is amazing to see how tight these places have been.

Been on my bucket list for a few years. Great piece of machinery well worth a visit.

Super cool. Would recommend to anyone interested in war history. Would like to give a shoutout to the nearby restaurant "Fischkuche Laboe". Vistit this place if you're in the area. They have the best schnitzel and fries i have ever tasted.

A worthy memorial and museum for sailers in WW1 and WW2. Nice view on the top, and U-996 was cool to walk through.

Great little “village” of designer brands from all categories, dotted with coffee shops and ice cream parlors. The shopping selection is impressive and well-organized, with something for every taste and budget. Food wise, it’s functional rather than fantastic but enough to keep you going. Don’t expect a culinary highlight. A well-maintained and pleasant place for a day of bargain hunting (weather permitting).

Nice place, many brand outlets are available here. Need to pick and choose for offers. Majorly good for shoes brands like Nike and Adidas, schedules particularly. Nice place....reminds me of Kildare Village in Ireland which is an excellent Outlet shopping experience. Some good dealson leather goods and clothes. Lots of hot dogs and beer as its Germany naturally but tasty!

I arrived early in the morning at Designer Outlet Neumünster, when all the shops were still closed and the place was quiet. The calm before the shopping rush gave me a chance to really take in the spacious layout and the modern design of the outlet. Located on Oderstraße 10, it’s about 45 minutes by car from Hamburg, and you can also get there by train from Hamburg Dammtor to Neumünster with a transfer, which takes around 1.5 hours. Even before the shops opened at 10 am, I noticed the huge parking area with plenty of spots, including premium and electric vehicle charging stations. The outlet hosts over 120 designer stores offering discounts up to 70%, featuring brands like Karl Lagerfeld, Woolrich, and Zwilling. I was excited to come back later and explore all the fashion, accessories, and more. The peaceful morning also gave me a moment to appreciate the cafes and restaurants that would soon fill with visitors. It felt like a perfect blend of convenience and style, making it clear why this spot is a favorite for both locals and travelers looking for great deals near Hamburg. If you’re coming without a car, the best way is to take the train from Hamburg Dammtor to Neumünster, then a short bus or taxi ride to the outlet. It’s an easy trip and well worth it for a day of shopping and relaxing in a clean, welcoming environment.

Designer Outlet Neumünster is a pleasant place to visit with a good variety of shops and a clean, well-organized layout. While not everything is cheaper than elsewhere, you can still find some good deals if you take the time to look around. There are also a few places to eat, which makes it easy to spend a few hours here. Parking is simple and convenient, which is always a plus. Overall, a nice shopping experience

I recommend a WHOLE day here. It's really worth seeing all the stores, we spent 4.5 hours there and it wasn't enough. Coach, Aigner, Joop Mixed with Levi, Marco Polo , Wrangler ... A mix of high end brands and affordable brands. Highly recommend 🥳

Variety and overcrowd in such a narrow tunnel, and amazingly remained order. We took ship tour instead of strolling along the pier. Thereby we could have an overall idea about the harbor area and came with some great buildings to appreciate. For instance, Elbphilharmonie ! 🙂

Beautiful spot next to the South entrance of the Alter Elb Tunnel, and perfect if you want a panoramic view to the Hamburg waterfront on the North Side. If you’re up for it, you can also go and see the other photo spot next to the “Stage Theater An Der Elbe”, 20 minutes on foot. That will bring you closer to the Elbphilharmonie building.

One of the best hidden gems in Hamburg! You can walk here through the historic Elbtunnel or take a short ferry ride from Landungsbrücken. Once there, you get an amazing panoramic view of the harbor, the Elbphilharmonie, and the city skyline. Perfect spot for a quiet break, photos, or just watching ships go by. It’s peaceful and not too touristy. Highly recommend if you’re exploring the harbor area!

Easy to get here via the Elbtunnel (absolutely worth a visit) or a short ferry ride (included in the hvv day ticket). The view is really cool but partially obstructed. It would be ideal if the observation platform could be elevated and widened a bit. Otherwise an amazing view of the Hamburg skyline.

The best place to the get the most amazing view and experience of the Old Elbe Tunnel. German technology at its beautiful best since 1911. Free entry. Great concept for walking and cycling incorporated.

Or was a unique experience walking 450meters under the sea level in the tunnel originally constructed in 1911😍. Going up and down in such huge lifts is cool😇. The view of the port on Elbe on the other side of the tunnel is just wow. 😘

It was very impressive walking through the tunnel and ending up on the side to the viewpoint and seeing the seaport from the other side. It's a must-see when you visit Hamburg.

Wooooow! Amazing place with a unique experience that lets you walk through different parts of the globe. I loved how much attention to detail was put into everything, and the design often includes funny little scenarios—like taking a bath with a penguin or the sheep pyramid! It’s incredibly creative, yet the landscapes still feel realistic. The night and day versions of the cities are a very cool twist. Also, all the robotics and technology behind the functioning train system—without any crashes—is mind-blowing. I especially enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at the newest addition. One thing to note: it’s a huge place to explore, so plan your visit accordingly to give yourself enough time to enjoy it without rushing from room to room. It can also get quite busy, so be patient and dedicate a full day if possible. There’s a café and food area if you want to take a break during your visit. Definitely recommend it! I’d love to come back and get even more lost in the details.

Absolutely one of the best attractions in Hamburg — and honestly, one of the most impressive exhibits I’ve ever seen. Miniatur Wunderland is massive and filled with astonishing detail. Most Germanic (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) countries and regions have their own area, complete with moving trains, planes, ships, lights, and tiny human stories happening everywhere you look. You could easily spend 3–4 hours here and still not catch everything. It’s not just for model train fans — it’s for anyone who appreciates creativity, craftsmanship, and a bit of magic. The nighttime lighting effects, airports, and little surprises hidden throughout make it incredibly fun for both kids and adults. It can get crowded, so I recommend booking a time slot early in the morning or later in the evening if you can. There’s a café inside with good snacks and drinks for a quick break between sections. Truly a must-see — whether you’re visiting Hamburg for a day or a week, Miniatur Wunderland is worth every minute.

Fantastic venue. Everything feels grounded and made by people who know what visitors will want to have or need. The exhibition itself is spectacular. Lots of details and stories are told ... Sometimes very hidden. Food is fine. Okay price. Reminded me of IKEA. There could be more washrooms. Also, the regular ticket isn't valid for reentry. That's a bit of a bummer since opening hours are until 1am.

Wanted to see this for years and now I've ticked it iff my bucket list! This is hands down the BEST minature railway and car layout you'll ever see! So much to see, you can easily spend all day here! Don't bring the missus, that will only reduce your fun! Definitely get tickets in advance, they sell out quick!

As a model railway enthusiast, I have been looking forward to coming to Hamburg to visit Miniatur Wunderland and the truth is that it worth it! I was delighted with the visit and I want to congratulate the whole team for all the impressive work that goes into every part of the model! The technique, the operation, the quality of the details, I love everything in general, especially the airport!! I also really enjoyed being able to eat in the Miniatur Wunderland restaurant. I am sure that in the future I will definitely visit this wonderful place again!

there was a festival at the day I arrived, so it was really crowded, full of people everywhere, but after that it was so peaceful there, the air was fresh and the water was clean, it was just so nice to sit there and enjoy the sunshine, both day and night views were so beautiful!! Hamburg is definitely one of my favorite places in Europe!

The port is just huge! We took a tour on a boat for 20€ in order to admire the majesty of the cranes and the huge ships parked on the deck being loaded by containers. There are so many things to see but you need a guide to get the full experience

Seeing water flow around is satisfying and very beautiful, Hamburg was such a good experience. Go to the elbphilharmonie and watch the beautiful view of the port of Hamburg and entrance is free, if you have kids you can use the lift, if you boat trip at night is a bonus and costs around 20€, then a bus trip during the day also costed around 18€ for 2 hours and I must say everything was worth it

One of the most beautiful poet I have ever been. Its is so lively, you can see tons of containers, cruise ships. If you are going to Germany, make sure to add hamburg harbour in your to do list and also, have a cruise tour. Its really worth trying.

One of the favorite places for a sunday stroll. Plenty things to see. Make sure to catch the ferry 62 for a round trip on the river allowing you to see things from different perspective. Moreover there are plenty of places to eat a nice "Fischbrötchen"!

One of the biggest and most important ports in Northern Europe. A must see when in a Hamburg. Place is really cool and if you’re in luck you’ll catch 2 musicians jamming and rocking some tunes like we found. Don’t leave Hamburg without seeing it!

The Holstentor is such a wonderful landmark which luckily survived to the modern age. The inside holds a nice little museum with different themed rooms and also a rather beautiful model of the medieval city.

A must see in Lübeck and a beautiful entrance to the old town. The Museum is small but also worth a visit if you have time.

It was an excursion from MSC cruise. We didn't enter the museum but walked around the city. It was so beautiful.

I haven't been here in years. We arrived right when it opened and stayed until closing time. I was looking forward to coming here, and I was not disappointed. We had such a great time! The weather was mixed, which was good, as it meant that the crowds were not that large and the wait times were reduced. I went on every rollercoaster, and some even several times. The food was pretty good, too. I bought a few souvenirs and I must say the prices are really not that bad compared to other theme parks I have been to. I was still smiling the next day! I highly recommend a visit! I can't wait to come back! Next time, we'll stay the night.

Great experience. Great day to be here. Not too many people as school has started and summer holidays are mostly over. Wait time was between 10 and 60 minutes. Only note is that some queues were not covered which meant in sunny weather it could get quite hot. The thrill roller-coasters were amazing. The only roller-coaster I would NOT recommend is the double-loop one. Headache machine.

It is a great place to spend with the family. We visited the amusement park in the middle of the week. It was great to see it is not crowed and waiting times were between 10 to max 30min for the main attractions. It makes it really enjoyable not like other parks with super long waiting time and too many people that you hardly can breath. The restaurants inside offer various dishes and the quality was good, a bit pricey though which is normal in such a park. The only thing, some of the staff or instructor at some attractions were not really friendly. They might forgot where they work. The access to the park by car from Hamburg less than an hour was very fine. The parking space very well available. The access by public transport is a bit long though. It is a recommended place to visit. There are entertainment available for almost all ages.

It was a really quiet day when we were there so easy to get on any ride we wanted. Everything seemed in good working order although it needed a bit of freshening up after the summer season (we were there in late September). The were still plenty of options for eating and things were reasonably priced (for a theme park!). The ride staff were great and interacted with our children well (our children don’t speak German). Because it was quieter, they allowed us and others to just keep riding those rides without a line. A good day and a good experience. The only problem we had was getting into the correct carpark!

I've been to the Heide Park twice now and I can only recommend it!! Yes, it is kinda expensive but isn't every adventure park? Heide Park has a lot of different rollercoasters, which are all really exciting!! You also have a big wheel 🎡 !! Something that I think is really cool is the fact that the Heide Park has different "scenes". You walk through different worlds and it's truly fascinating!! It's a relly cool place to visit! ^^

We came from far away especially for this park, as we had promised our little daughter. We had been here before, and she really enjoyed it and wanted to return. We entered the park, and immediately a heavy downpour began. We went into the shop at the entrance and waited for an hour. The rain didn’t stop. We approached customer service and asked to postpone our tickets to the following day — our request was denied. We waited another hour and tried, for our daughter’s sake, to continue through the park. We were soaked to the bone, and all the rides were closed. There was absolutely no way to fulfill our promise to her. Apart from walking around in the rain, there was nothing to do! I contacted customer service by email, hoping they would show some flexibility and let us enter on another day. But no — that's their policy, with no exceptions. After about two hours, with no sign of the rain stopping, we simply left. The disappointment for our daughter — and for us — was indescribable. It’s truly a shame that this is how children are treated. We, the parents, pay full admission just so the kids can have fun, and the park didn’t even take this small step to accommodate us by allowing a replacement visit. What a pity!

Amazing museum with so many beautiful volkswagens, many we have not seen before. There was a car meet the morning we arrived of R class VW all of which added to the excitement of the visit. A must see for any VW enthusiast

We didn’t really know what to expect here, and were pleasantly surprised! Neither me og my partner really have any interests in cars but this was definitely worth the time! So many old, nice and good looking cars and special prototypes, and the entry price is fair! Definitely worth a visit.

The Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg was an amazing experience for me personally. Over the years I’ve owned several Beetles — a ’62, ’66, ’72, and an ’82 — along with a few other VWs, so walking through this museum felt extra special. Seeing such perfect examples of the cars I grew up with, plus so many rare and historic models, brought back a lot of memories. The collection is very well presented, with everything from classics to unique concepts, making it a true celebration of VW history. For any Volkswagen enthusiast, this place is a must-visit!

Heaven for a car lover! They had so many cool prototypes and special models, it's a great way to explore the history and creativity of VW. I easily spent 2 or 3 hours here and got a ton of good pictures. They have way more cars on display than the museum at Autostadt. I'm an English speaker and had to use Google translate to read the plaques, but not a big deal.

Worth a visit in the city of Volkswagen. They have cars from all the eras, of all different colors, and modifications. Takes about 2 hours to look at all the cars, will obviously take more if you go into the details of each of them.

An amazing experience I would highly recommend! It's rare to get to walk in the shoes and take the same mine train the miners took back in the day, deep into the depths of this mine and UNESCO World Heritage site. The rest of the museum and exhibitions are also interesting but the mine rail tour is a must!

Very impressive! It was for me the first time to visit a mine like this, it feels you go back in time! The groups weren't that big, so you could see a lot of the mine. It was quite cold, so wear warm clothes. The train underground was an amazing experience!

Very deceiving for such an emblematic place. It is still a quite impressive place full of history which is nice to see. I expected more... First of all, there is no tour in English. For a UNESCO world heritage site, you will expect at least one tour in English. For the museum part, it is interesting but everything is disorganised and it is not appealing. Some parts are only in German. I hope one day, this place would be made more accessible for non-german speakers.

I recently visited the Rammelsberg Ore Mines with my husband and had an incredible experience. We took the guided tour in English, called the Röder Stollen, led by Mr. Christian Etzrodt. He was super friendly and humorous, making the entire journey interesting and engaging. I really appreciate him going out of the way to add fun to the tour. It was an amazing and adventurous experience, and I highly recommend his tour. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful (she helped us choose the appropriate tour), as was the lovely lady at the shop. Overall, it was a fantastic visit! We really enjoyed the experience. Oh, yes! Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. You would need to walk a lot and climb steep steps. Would not recommend this tour to people with claustrophobia, nyctophobia, panic disorder, breathing issues, pregnancy, etc. It is colder and dark and might be a bit slippery. P.S. I personally give bonus points for the "Stimmungsring" at the shop, haha

Beautiful castle with spectacular views of Wernigerode and Harz mountains. Very busy during my visit & somewhat disorganized. Could only find paid parking nearby with additional expense for a shuttle bus. However, there are several shuttle bus companies and you can't tell which is which until the driver kicks you off. But, still a nice place to visit.

It adds a touch of effort, a dash of cardio, and a full dose of “I earned this view!” Once you reach the top, all the huffing and puffing pays off. The castle is beautiful, the views are spectacular, and the photo ops are endless. Whether you're into history, architecture, or just soaking in amazing scenery — this place has it all. Pro tip: Go early or late in the day to avoid crowds and heat. Bring water, good shoes, and a bit of adventurous spirit!

Worth the walk uphill. Go early to beat the crowds. Enjoy a beer at the cafe inside. It’s a lot quieter than the one outside. On the walk down I took a detour on some of the paths. Very green and beautiful woods.

The old town is dominated by the castle and church on the hill. The district is perfect for strolling through half-timbered houses and winding lanes. From the castle grounds there are views over the jumble of roofs and spires of Quedlinburg as well as the surrounding countryside and towards the Harz.

This Is the most amazing zoo I've ever been to. It's so big with the kids. We could only see a portion of it, but the jungle experience especially with the boat ride was so cool. All of the exhibits are wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone to visit the zoo. Easily one of the best zoos in the world.

Leipzig Zoo is one of the best zoos I‘ve ever visited. Large enclosures. Many events throughout the day. Amazing infrastructure (you can find maps, sign posts, and directions for a tour that leads you through the entire zoo everywhere). They also don’t solely focus on the animals as mere entertainment but seek to inform kids in playful ways about preservation/biology/even physics in the aquarium. Leipzig Zoo also provides a variety of restaurants and snack bars that are evenly distributed across the entire Zoo. I wholly recommend visiting, whether alone or with friends and family. It’s an amazing and informative experience!

This zoo park was fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone. There is so much to see and you should have water with you because food and water prices there is too expensive. WC is free which is very good. And I suggest you guys to go early there, zoo opens at 9 am and closes at 7pm. As I mentioned earlier there is lot to see so you probably will need some rest. And one good thing about this zoo park is that you see animals without any borders and it is kind of crazy but it is safe. So enjoy with your trip everyone.

So far the nicest Bahnhof I've seen in Germany, always busy with people passing through and people just coming to shop. As it houses so many great stores to shop in over 3 levels with so many things to see and amazing food options. You can't come to leipzig without seeing it as it is the main train station. Even made more lovely around Christmas or as they say Weinachten, as lots more food stalls open up.

This intense and impressive monument is a MUST SEE if you are in Leipzig. The scale is stunning and is reminiscent of the Mines of Moria in Lord of the Rings. There are multiple lifts but if you want to get to the top viewing area, you have to use the stairs and it is a little walk. No bad, but most people emerged a little winded and sweaty. The sweeping views of Leipzig are great and, if you go on a sunny day, you can see many miles/kilometers in every direction. Highly recommended.

There was a feeling of heaviness about the monument and it made me feel retrospective. A very nice visit. A stroll through the cemetery nextdoor is also warranted.

the monument to the battle of the nations in leipzig is a massive, seriously impressive monument commemorating napoleon's defeat in the 1813 battle. it's one of europe's largest, and you can climb to the top for panoramic views of leipzig. inside, the huge stone figures are really powerful. it's a bit outside the city center but easily reached by tram and definitely worth a visit for its history and scale

If you are in Meissen, you need to visit this museum. They have huge collection and you will be amazed with the giant porcelain pieces. Tour was also fun, you go to different rooms to learn about modeling, sculpting, painting etc. We spent good two good hours there.

Magnificent Baroque palace, initially build by August Strong as a an orangery and gardens, destroyed by the ally bombings in 1945, restored in 50s and 60s . You can walk on the roof of the galleries and admire the beauty of it. It's open till late evening and the entrance is free.The inner garden part is currently ( as of August 2025) under renovation. The galleries house 2 museums - one of mathematical instruments and another is porcelain gallery ( which I highly recommend). When we were there in one of the towers a classical music concert was held. It was beautiful to listen to music in a such beautiful place.

I visited the Zwinger in Dresden and really enjoyed the experience. There is a lot to see here, and the place itself feels quite special. The architecture is impressive and honestly a bit overwhelming – you can just stand there and keep looking at all the details. Every corner has something interesting, from the buildings themselves to the sculptures and the way everything is arranged. It was a bit crowded when I visited, but that didn’t really stop me from enjoying it. You still have plenty of space to walk around and take your time. I found myself slowing down just to notice the small details, and it was worth it. Overall, I think it’s one of those places you shouldn’t miss if you’re in Dresden. It’s not only about seeing a landmark, but also about the feeling of being surrounded by such a unique piece of history and design.

This is an absolute must-see in Dresden. There’s no need to explain why — just go. The palace offers much more to see than you might expect, so make sure to allow plenty of time for your visit. It’s truly worth the admission fee. The art museum was particularly impressive !

Dresden Zwinger is an absolutely beautiful place—one of those spots where you instantly feel like you’ve stepped into another century. The architecture is breathtaking, with elegant palace buildings, detailed façades and peaceful courtyards that make the whole complex feel almost magical. It’s the kind of place where you can just stroll around, soak in the atmosphere, admire the gardens, and truly appreciate the history and beauty of Dresden. A must-see when visiting the city.

What a beautiful palace. Baroque at its best. Apparently nearly completely destroyed during world War 2 it now shines once more. Different exhibitions at the 4 wings with porcelain, old master and physics. Close to all the downtown historic buildings. In walking distance to the Frauenkirche. A definite must see.

We walked here to do something. It was pretty. We went across the street to rooftop bar pretty good view and sunset was pretty.

The Zwinger in Dresden is one of the city’s most stunning Baroque landmarks. Its elegant courtyards and ornate pavilions make it perfect for walking around and taking photos. The Old Masters Gallery, home to the “Sistine Madonna,” is a highlight, along with impressive porcelain and scientific collections. The site is well-kept, atmospheric, and beautiful both day and night. A visit truly feels worthwhile.

The Fürstenzug took me by surprise—so detailed and grand, yet tucked along a quiet street. From my perspective, it’s one of those places that really brings history to life. The scale and craftsmanship of the porcelain mural are incredible, and it’s amazing how well it’s been preserved. It’s definitely worth pausing here while exploring the old town—it doesn’t take long, but it leaves a lasting impression.

the procession of princes is enormous 102-meter-long porcelain mural that basically tells the history of saxony. it features 94 figures of all the saxon rulers and nobles in chronological order, starting way back in 1127. what's really cool is that it's made from an incredible 25,000 meissen porcelain tiles, which makes it the world's largest porcelain artwork. you'll find it right on augustusstraße, so it's super easy to check out as you're walking between dresden's main attractions. and the best part? you can view it completely free

What an excellent and exquisite display of porcelain art. I believe the art shows a march of the Saxon ruler dynasty and is the larger porcelain mural in the world. When you come upon the wall, the sheer size of it is jaw dropping. You won’t be able to believe what you are seeing. It is beautiful. This is a must see sight when you visit Dresden.

We visited the Fürstenzug in December 2024 during the Christmas market, and we were truly impressed. Hahhh, what can I say or express? It was an incredible experience to stand in front of this massive wall of history. This open-air artwork is both grand and full of detail, yet located on a quiet street in Dresden’s historic center. * Stretching 102 meters long, the mural is made of over 23,000 Meissen porcelain tiles and portrays the genealogy of the Wettin dynasty, which ruled Saxony for centuries. It’s considered the largest porcelain mural in the world. Originally painted between 1871 and 1876, it was later replaced with porcelain tiles from 1904 to 1907 to withstand the weather. In addition to princes, kings, and dukes, the mural also features scientists, craftsmen, farmers, and even children — which gives the artwork a more human and timeless feel. It’s a true open-air history lesson. The visit is free, quick, and unforgettable. Definitely worth stopping by while exploring the Old Town. And afterward, take a break at one of the lovely nearby cafés! I Recommend it.

Once I arrived in Dresden, I had to take the latest available train to see this. It’s more than I expected. On weekends, this alley can get a little crowded, so you might have to wait a while to get a good picture. :)

This beautiful and historic mural, which we explored during a walking tour, runs along the Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) building. The intricate artwork, done in the style of sgraffito, is impressive and worth pausing to admire. The mural tells the story of Saxony’s history, making it both visually and historically captivating. It’s free to view, and you could spend 15-20 minutes here as part of a walking tour of Dresden’s historic centre.

We visited as it’s our last day, it’s pretty impressive how much money, time, and effort to rebuild all these historic buildings, including this Church of our Lady. Inside still haven’t had much to see but still nice to visit. Free entry but if you wish to climb up to the viewing tower over 100 steps then have a fee.

This is a beautiful church that is the jewel of Dresden. I loved visiting the church as well as sitting outside in one of the many cafes and restaurants and taking in the view. Church entrance is free. It’s gorgeous inside. If you want to climb up the dome, you need to go around the back. I think it was €12 entrance. The views are great from the top. There are a good few steps going up to start and then there is a ramp around the dome which makes it far easier to ascend.

Brilliant history! In the final days of WWII, the whole city was bombed including this church which was a very important part of Dresden. Following the reunification of German, it was rebuilt using some of the original stone! The building is incredible and there is a stunning view from the top. A must visit!

It's free to walk into the main part of the church where you can see the beautiful interior, and 10€ per person to climb to the top of the church. The stairs are pretty easy most of the way up, and up until after you finish walking up a big sloped ramp near the end you must also get up some VERY steep and skinny stairs (so beware, if you're a claustrophobe or don't like heights). But the view of Dresden is so worth it if you do it.

The magnificent Frauenkirche! When I last visited decades ago, the church was nothing but a pile of rubble—or more accurately, a heap of stones—serving as a stark reminder of the devastation of war. Reconstruction began in 1994, and on October 30, 2005, it was officially reopened. The church hall is impressively tall and richly decorated. You can climb up to the dome, but we didn’t have time for that on this visit. I’m sure the views from up there—both into the church and across Dresden—are breathtaking. If you only have time to visit one attraction in Dresden, I’d choose the Frauenkirche.

We came for a Mozart concert. It was fabulous. This rebuild baroque church is bright and beautifully grand. It holds around 3000 guests and is decorated with much gold and adornments.The seats were comfortable not like other old churches.it was warm and without drafts.

Really sad to get to know the past and how was life or surviving in a place like this, the entrance was about 10€ per person, there are toilets for free inside, don't miss the cinema, it shows a movie of about 20 minutes where you can get most of the information and history for free as well and it was translated in English.

If you’re planning a visit to the Terezín Memorial, I highly recommend making an online reservation in advance. While there are a few basic informational signs scattered around the site, most of the historical context and stories require a guided explanation to truly understand the significance of what you're seeing. The admission ticket includes a guided tour, but you must book it online beforehand through their official website. Several language options are available, making it accessible for international visitors. There is a small kiosk within the site that offers vending machines, and the town has a few grocery stores. However, it’s a good idea to bring your own light meal and drinking water for the visit, as options on-site are limited. Also, make sure to set aside time to visit the other museums in town. The ticket to the concentration camp also grants you access to several important museums in the town of Terezín, and they are absolutely worth seeing. These museums provide essential context and help paint a fuller picture of the site's history.

My nephew as me about Auschwitz when we were in Germany so we drove there the following week. As I read on the Internet that we need to reserve as we won’t get in, that was false, the free entrance are limited and need to be reserved but the tour in your language happens every couple hours or so and with many language, of it is 70€ but to really get the feeling and understanding of the place, I think you need the guided tour. Our guide was not that enthusiastic but I guess this is in their mantra. Her English was good for conversation but maybe a bit lacking for this kind of guiding but this did not bother the group I was in. For some reason I was expecting more from what everyone I know who have been there where telling me about the feeling and all but maybe I just been to too many of similar place when I was in the military… definitely recommend to go there with your younger members of the family so that we never forget and don’t let the Israelis repeat the same thing now with the Palestinians

A must visit, worth the day trip from Prague. We booked the tour online in advance but they didn’t even check the reservation. The guided tour was nice, if you don’t do it I’m not sure how you’d get information on the buildings as there is very little signage. They do run 4 or 5 tours at the same time, just in different languages. This means it’s quite crowded. It would be better if they staggered the times. They offer tours in many languages, and your entrance ticket here works in numerous other sights throughout the town as well.

Events that happened here shouldn't be forgotten. I appreciate how places like these remind us to never let these things happen again. Although, Theresienstadt wasn't really an extermination camp it reminds us of how much suffering humans can inflict on one another.
