Autostadt in Wolfsburg is a must-visit destination for car enthusiasts and families alike. This automobile museum offers a fascinating display of the history of Volkswagen, featuring an impressive collection of vintage cars alongside new vehicle parking towers. Visitors can also enjoy driving tracks, shops, and restaurants within the park. Additionally, Autostadt provides a unique experience for families with designated play areas and activities for kids.
There’s a lot to see here, and it’s not boring at all. It’s perfect for families, car enthusiasts, and kids. You can see history and modern cars, including Bugatti, Porsche, VW, and Audi. There are also fun play structures for kids, places to climb, huge slides, hoops, and more. And the food was great - we had some delicious pizzas and even got some souvenirs. The only downside is that the Porsche museum was closed because of a concert, and I’m a big Porsche fan, so I give it 4 stars. Objectively though 5 stars.

If you are into cars and the automotive industry then this place is for you, it has a good playground for the little ones and for food you have restaurants and a bakery. It’s near the railway station and they have a huge parking lot that doesn’t cost that much. It’s worth the visit though you’ll a good chunk of the day to cover everything.
Daniel — Google review
If it is your first time you will love it. The car museum is so nice If it is your second time it is the same. I have been here in 2018 and only things that changed were the sliders for the kids/adukts near the 4 chimney and of course there are new car models but... not so much change. You pay 20€ to see the cars and touch the production ones like in a regular car store.
C C — Google review
Museum had a good range of cars from many manufacturers. The train tour around the factory was fantastic very immersive with a lot of information and interesting detail. The team were very accommodating we had been stuck in traffic so had missed the English speaking tour however, they went out of there way to give us an English spoken tour of the factor of the factory separate to the scheduled German tour. Many thanks to the team for a great experience 👍🏻
Jamie D — Google review
Nice place for weekend day trip. The car museum, car towers and VW experience center are great. Other places are just fine. Has some good kid friendly places as well.
Saurabh V — Google review
Visiting the Autostadt in Wolfsburg was such a great experience! The whole place is beautifully designed, clean, and very well organized. From the impressive car pavilions to the museum and the factory view, everything showcases the history and future of Volkswagen in a fun and interactive way. I especially enjoyed the variety of exhibitions and how much attention to detail there is throughout the park. Definitely worth visiting if you’re a car enthusiast or just want a unique cultural experience in Germany!

Science museum
Museums
Phaeno Science Center is an interactive museum that captivates both children and adults with its array of exhibitions and activities focused on fostering interest in science and technology. Housed in a Deconstruction-style building, the center showcases a collection of physical science phenomena. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, known for their futuristic designs, this architectural marvel opened its doors in 2005. Visitors can enjoy various activities throughout the day, catering to all age groups.
I went there with my friends, we are all ~30 and still enjoyed it. Some of the things of course one has seen before but it was still a good time. We spent about 3 hours walking around and looking at all the exhibitions. Can recommend probably way cooler when you are younger tho.

Always a pleasure visiting! Our kids (6 & 3) love it and this time, they had a new section to create more stuff. There’s something for old and young and although they didn’t have all things we saw before open (renovating for their anniversary), we were happy and would recommend it to anyone. Plus is a closeness to the station.
Claudia B — Google review
It was crowded, very clean and organized, the staff were very nice too. The tickets are little bit expensive. But its very interactive.
Sara D — Google review
Wonderful place, highly highly recommended. Activities throughout the day for both small and large. We were with 10 year old and 2 year old boys. We all went with the impressions. Thinking about everything, little ones have activities, although there is fun for adults as well 😀 Everything is written in detail in German / English. If you have a picnic room, you can buy coffee, water, snacks or ice cream there. If not, you can go back again. Employees are always with a smile, helpful. Super place to spend all day 👌

This place is really, really good! I think that this is the best science museum we have been to. We spent 4 hours here with our 4 year old and he absolutely loved it. The exhibits were excellent, clean and it was fairly priced. It also wasn’t busy so we could try almost everything.
Adam P — Google review
Situated just beside the wolfsburg hbf, it's a great place specially for kids. For adults it takes to back to school, back to science classes. Too see everything in the place you require minimum 2+ hours. It's a good place to visit in Wolfsburg.
Ankit S — Google review
It's a science museum with lots of fun activities for the kids, including science lab, tech lab, and music. In fact parents can also enjoy the place and different areas of it. Receptionists and all the employees were friendly and well-behaved and, most importantly, they can guide you in English as well. It is a fully recommended place. Lastly, you should bring your own food as there are limited options to eat there but there is a proper sitting place to eat your food.

If u are in Wolfsburg this is a must place to visit for all age groups . Kids had so much fun that they didn't want to come out. So many interesting things to see .my kids ages are 5 and 3 and both of them enjoyed so much and all science exhibits in very interesting way

Free parking, free beach, free to roam. This little sea is a wonderful place to visit with a great walking/roller skating path. You can swim here. And most of all it is relaxing

Beautiful lake, the area is clean but the lake itself is full of tree branches and leaves I didn’t enjoy swimming it. The bathrooms are nice clean, public showers are available too

A very good park situated next VW arena. It's a very big park and a very good one indeed. It's gets quite busy on weekends in the summer. It had a man-made sea side lake in middle of Wolfsburg. The park is perfect for a Sunday picnic with family or friends.

Museums
Modern art museum
Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg is a modern art museum located in central Wolfsburg. It features a diverse collection of classic modernist, established contemporary, and upcoming artists' works. The museum also hosts rotating exhibitions and events, making it an engaging destination for art enthusiasts. Housed in a glass-roofed building, the museum offers a family-friendly experience and showcases both ancient and modern artworks.
Very nice art museum. Reasonable entry fee; elevator access to 2nd floor if stairs are not your thing. Exhibits are not overwhelming in size. Check the exhibits to see if you're interested. I personally enjoy seeing whatever is on exhibit as art is so varied and unique. Lovely, and also not overwhelming gift shop. Per the question below, getting tickets in advance may be a good idea, but I saw no need as it was a slow, non-tourist season day. Maybe call ahead to see, but my feeling is it's probably a pretty smooth entry even during the high season. Definitely worth a visit for art enthusiasts as well as simply the art-curious alike.
Elizabeth G — Google review
Modern museum building with a cafe (cakes and coffee only) and a museum shop. When we visited it was mostly surrealist art that might not appeal to everyone.
Hallvard V — Google review
A pleasant city art museum in the pedestrian shopping zone (Porschestrasse) of Wolfsburg. I was drawn in by a special exhibition currently on display about the influence of the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian on followers. The artwork was all created by followers and imitators; a pretty good selection, including pieces of haute couture. Very enjoyable! The upper floor features a lot of black & white industrial art photographs taken over many years in the nearby VW auto plant.

Went to see the Mischa KY all exhibition which was great! I don't think they have a permanent collection so it really depends on what's in show when you get there. But they seem to have a keen eye for fascinating set ups. The building is nice and spacious and allows for big bold artwork.
Pauline D — Google review
Learned a lot during my visit and enjoyed both exhibits. Not being overly familiar with art generally, the pamphlets - available for free at the front desk - helped me a lot in understanding the artists' message. Both exhibits were bilingual. Also, don't forget to check out the gift shop!
Márton K — Google review
Awesome. They have some great exhibitions. Its easy to get there by car (has a parkhaus) or by public transportation (has a bus stop). There are lockers for your things on the first floor. The staff is really friendly and can answer all of your questions.

Love it! Definitely brought back memories and there were lots of familiar stores that have better prices than we do in the U.S.
Carmen D — Google review
Good shops, but you have to pay to enter. They have barriers and you have to put your card in and it doesn't say how much or how much. I left
Marius V — Google review
Plenty of designer brands, restaurants and eateries like starbucks, five guys etc. All major brands have a store here however they are NOT really factory outlets or premium outlets if that's what you were expecting. Limited deals and sales mostly on last sizes, discontinued lines etc. Some exclusive merch available which you may not find in brand stores or malls especially Lindts. Compare online and even supermarket prices to make sure you're really getting a good deal. Those are far and few between.
Nikhil R — Google review
I read mixed reviews about this place and specially the parking. Since it was the weekend the parking was a bit difficult to find, but we managed in the basement where it was practically empty. The overall experience at this designer outlet was better than I expected. I am always visiting Designer outlets Roermond since it’s quite big and you get lots of variety. But I wasn’t disappointed in Wolfsburg, there were lots of stores to choose from and a reasonable sale at almost every store. Great place to shop and spend a day for people living in north side.
Sakshi D — Google review
We stopped by here on our way back from the Polish Baltic Sea coast to NRW. We approached the place through a tunnel and found easy parking close to the shops. This place is quite modern and well laid out with many big name retailers. I liked the fact there was enough outdoor seating where I could sit & watch the world go by whilst my wife went shopping. I found the restrooms near the Haribo store. Small, but high quality and clean! Whilst sitting on the patio having dinner at the nearby L'Osteria Italian restaurant we were treated to the spectacle of a young male shoplifter being roughly manhandled into the Information Centre by security staff and detained until a sizeable police contingent arrived, with blue lights and sirens, to escort him away in handcuffs. Exciting stuff. We left after paying the 1€ parking fee which we didn't need as the exit barrier opened up automatically anyway. All good!
Ian K — Google review
Compared to similar outlets around Europe, this falls short. Its not worth the de-tour I would say. And surprisingly - the parking garage payment machines do not accept foreign debet or credit cards :D Can you believe it! Neither Mastercard or Visa are accepted. We ended up having to run around the entire outlet area to find an ATM, withdraw way too much cash, in order to pay our parking with cash. A bit like going back to the 1980s....

Thai restaurant
Orchid Thai House, located in Wolfsburg, Germany, is a small but authentic Thai restaurant that offers excellent food and creates a genuine Thai environment. The attentive staff provides great service to visitors, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The prices at Orchid Thai House are fair, and the menu boasts a variety of dishes with spicy flavors. Particularly noteworthy are the dishes made with coconut milk and curry, which are both spicy and delicious.
The best Thai food I have ever had. I came with a group of five other people, we each got something different, and everything was incredible. Our dishes were all well-portioned, presented beautifully, and exceptionally tasty. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The Yellow Chicken Curry now occupies a little corner of my mental food palace, sitting next to exactly one other restaurant experience.

Orchid Thai in Wolfsburg is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai cuisine with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The super friendly and hospitable staff ensure a great dining experience. Their menu offers a delicious variety of Thai curries, rice, and noodles, all available with different spice levels. As an Indian, finding truly spicy food in Germany can be a challenge, but Orchid Thai delivers perfectly balanced heat and flavors. Whether you prefer mild or extra spicy, they cater to your taste. A must-visit for Thai food lovers in Wolfsburg! 🌶️🍛🍜

I really loved the tableware. The food was also pretty tasty but the quantities were a bit disappointing.
Amal C — Google review
Terrible service. Sat down at 5:30 and got food at 7:00. Food was over cooked. Noodles were mushy and had no flavour. I would never go back.

Nice place, closer to the station and Wolfsburg centrum hotel, open till 9pm. Loved the ambience. Service was quite strongly friendly and customised to veggie options. Food and aroma was excellent, tried pad thai veggie delight and it was yummy
Sandeep B — Google review
Good Thai restaurant, but don't expect authentic Thai food, unfortunately with most asian restaurants, they are germanized. I would rather have a section on the menu, where you can get all the real Thai dishes.

Recommended. This is a real Thai-taste Thai food in Thai atmosphere. I love all dishes I had. Fish pancakes (Tod mun pla) Chicken satay , Chicken coconut milk soup (Tom kha Kai) and Phad krapraw. all fresh cooking and comfortly price. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. I will surely go there again .

Fantastic food and great service, the waitress did a fabulous job considering she was on her own, this place comes highly recommended.
Jeff M — Google review
Here I became a fan of thai dishes made out of crispy duck or - knusprige Ente- as Germans say. Pick any one of the dishes in the menu and you'll be surprised by it's flavourful taste. In winter time you must make a reservation but in summer there is enough place on the terrace.
Gigi U — Google review
Very nice and unpretentious place, but the food is authentic Thai, even the eggplant in the dishes is not of the usual much cheaper European type but also of the tastier Asian variety. They don't cut corners, and it shows.
Dietrich M — Google review
Good, delicious food and plenty of variants to choose from.
Casian V — Google review
Generally speaking the food there is pretty good. In my opinion even the dishes which where marked as spicy weren't all that spicy. The prices were okay. Nothing to expensive but I wouldn't call them cheap either. The personnel could have been a bit more caring. It took a while until we were able to pay but other than that it was okay. All in all I would say it's a good Thai restaurant but nothing out of the ordinary. And no matter how many people you are you should book a table.
Nora D — Google review
They have the best pad Thai in town but their Wait staff is severely lacking. We are often left alone for long periods with no one checking for drink refills or if we'd like to check out. The food is great though with decent sized portions.

BEEF CLUB Wolfsburg offers a fantastic dining experience with great food and a wonderful atmosphere next to the river. The restaurant boasts an excellent selection of gin, including their own "in-house" variety. The professional service ensures that guests are well taken care of, with detailed explanations about the different cuts of meat and their origins. The steaks are particularly delicious, and there is also praise for the sides and desserts.
Great food and atmosphere next to the river! Excellent sélection of Gin (they have an "in-house" one as well). Food? Excellent, served professionally (by Federico, thanks 🙏) with a variety of salts to be paired with the different cuts. Meat is really, really good.

Polite at first but very slow service, although wasn't busy. Orders of drinks forgotten / slow, like 20 min. Food slow. Ordered the medium 400g Angus, got the 240g. No taste, sauce terrible. Vegetable awful. Spend your money in McDonalds.

Today I had one of the best steaks I have ever eaten at The Beef Club at Autostadt in Wolfsburg. It was perfectly cooked to my taste, a nice even pink all the way through, and virtually no blood on the plate

Not recommended at all. I order beef steak for medium instead I got english .I told the waiters about my steak and I return it back so she could make medium . Instead she only say sorry and don't even return back my steak. When the bills come she still charge full which I only have a slice. Thai restaurant
The Thai restaurant Aroy Aroy in Wolfsburg is definitely worth a visit as the quality of their food is consistently excellent. One noteworthy feature is the ability to adjust the spiciness level of each dish, adding an extra touch of personalization. However, there have been occasional issues with card payment and it's important to note that tips can only be added at the bar. Additionally, some dishes, particularly those featuring mango, tend to lean towards sweetness.
We went there a few times and the level of the food was very good and consistent - and the option to adjust the level of spiciness was a nice addition to that :) At one point there were problems with payment with the card (and no way to add the tip while paying by card, that has to be done in bar). Certain dishes (like mango-based) are quite sweet, so you might want to keep that in mind, if that is not your taste palette.

Aroy Aroy in Wolfsburg is a hidden gem for lovers of authentic Thai cuisine. The super friendly and hospitable staff make you feel truly welcome, adding to the warm dining experience. Their menu offers a delicious variety of Thai curries, rice, and noodles, with different spice levels to suit all tastes. As an Indian, it's often hard to find restaurants in Germany that serve genuinely spicy food, but Aroy Aroy delivers! Whether you love mild or extra-hot dishes, they cater to your preference. A must-visit for those craving bold flavors in Wolfsburg! 🌶️🍛🍜

It is a small restaurant with a big, tasty menu. The food is fresh, tasty, perfect amount of spices. The portions are big, the staff is fast and very nice. I only can recommend!
Sandra F — Google review
I cannot say enough about the food here. Might sound corny but the flavors are an explosion in your mouth. Things that I would not think fit together were done and it worked. Example: tomatoes and cucumbers in stir fry. I was only sad that I got so full I could not eat anymore. There are restaurants that look better but none in Wolfsburg that have impressed me more.

Asian restaurant
Creasian offers a delightful dining experience with tasty food served in an aesthetically pleasing manner. The portions are generous, leaving room for dessert, and their iced teas come highly recommended. The service is excellent, with friendly and helpful waitstaff. The beautiful interior features authentic decorations and aromatic oils that create an exotic ambiance in the restrooms. While some found the menus lacking, overall, it's a lovely experience with gourmet food worth the price.
The food is tasty and served in a quite esthetic way. The portions are enough to be full but still have room for dessert. I recommend trying their iced teas. The service is good, the waiters are helpful and friendly. The interior is beautiful, the decorations look authentic and picked with taste. The restrooms greet guests with an exotic scent due to the aromatic oils evaporated near the sinks. The toilets are clean and tidy. What I didn't like were the menus. The main menu doesn't have English translation - you get a card with translations. However, the card doesn't contain the prices so you have to check them in the main one, and it's not full. The seasonal menu and the menu with iced drinks were not translated at all. This is mostly a place for adults since there is no place for kids to play, but that's not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind. All in all a good lunch and overall experience.

Best Asian restaurant in Wolfsburg. Staff speak great english. Walkable from Ritz Carlton, Outlet Mall, Pheno, Main train station, or VW Autostadt. Very stylish design and food decor. Very picturesque place and staff is happy to take pictures. Food is delicious and extra wishes are catered to. Clean toilets. Going there whenever we are in Wolsfburg. You can make a reservation online. The restaurant is very clean and fresh and they are dog friendly. Hope this helps. #ingavardhan

Totally disappointed and shocked by my visit. Service was abysmal. I asked about the most popular dish of the restaurant, and the waitress got visibly extremely annoyed and answered "depends on what you like". How does what is most popular in the restaurant depend on what I like?! After ordering, me and my friends were chatting, and started laughing for a second. The same waitress came rushing to our table to inform us that we have to be more quiet. This was so weird---I'd maybe get it if we had been loud and squeaking around for 10 min, but we were literally laughing slightly more loudly for one SECOND and the waitress came running to us as if she was waiting for it. Most awkward restaurant experience ever, but we smiled and nodded at her request. We got our food, which took forever, and afterwards the waitress didn't come a single time to ask whether we wanted another drink. We've been there 2.5 hours and haven't been asked even ONCE whether we wanted more drinks??? What is this? We were left thirsty and super annoyed. We also had to stand up and go to another waiter to ask whether we could pay because we've just been completely ignored. I got "angry bird" with duck, which was unfortunately not very good either. The curry sauce definitely didn't taste like a real red Thai curry sauce with the yummy slight coconut flavor, and the duck was extremely dry. In general it didn't seem like the Asian food is very authentic at this place, which is probably to be expected since it's a fusion place. Anyways, I'm not coming back, and I'm not sure international guests (or any guests really) would be happy at this place. It's weird because this place clearly tries to cater to international guests and standards, but they are failing in a way that's honestly just embarrassing. My only explanation for why some people give positive reviews is that they don't know that there's much much better food and service in this world without the sad pretentiousness of this place.
