The most beautiful castle i have ever seen, no doubt. We got lucky as well to be able to hear the oldest working organ being played, amazing spectacle, i recommend planning visit according to the schedule of this performance. Wherever you look in this castle there is something beautiful to see. Really amazing and there is a massive beautiful park as well with small coffee shop to sit down, relax and enjoy the view.

Frederiksborg Castle is a grand and beautiful castle located about an hour from Copenhagen 🇩🇰. You can take a train to Hillerød Station, and from there it’s an easy 1 km walk to the castle 🚶‍♂️. Entry fee is 110 DKK per person, and the castle is surrounded by stunning gardens and a peaceful lake that make the whole place truly picturesque 🌿🏰. When we visited, some parts were under renovation, and the museum inside didn’t have much that was interactive. Still, the architecture and royal atmosphere make it a pleasant visit, especially if you love history and photography 📸. If you’re short on time, we’d recommend visiting Kronborg and Rosenborg first, and then Frederiksborg — in that order ⏱️. Each has its own charm, but Kronborg and Rosenborg felt more engaging overall ✨.

Nice place to visit if you are staying in Copenhagen and have half a day extra time! The castle is surrounded by a very beautiful park and a nice lake. The museum also worth visiting, if you are interested in danish history!

Why visit? ✅ If limited on time, tour the grounds for free (no cost). ✅ Regarding the grounds, there are so many different views to enjoy while walking the property: gardens, waterfronts, bridges, courtyards, etc. ✅ The castle interior (admission required) is loaded with artwork, antiques, and rooms that stun with both size and intricate detail. Why skip? Honestly, I can’t think of any reason. If limited on time, at least walk to the grounds to get a good look. If spending a day in town, this is THE attraction to visit.

This is a lovely easy day trip out of Copenhagen. A single 40 minute ride on the E train to Hillerød station then a 15 minute walk or short bus ride to the castle. The castle is huge and rarely crowded, but the vast rooms, artwork, and gardens are gorgeous. Check out the tour times before you visit - we were lucky to arrive just in time for the English language tour and it was superb. The castle is an easy walk from town, but there’s also a small boat which does a lap of the lake and for a small fee takes you to the garden and the far side of the castle.

We knew this place was one of those 'must see' locations on the island of Sjælland and I vaguely remembered going there when I was 12, entry is also included within the Copenhagen Card. We had actually spent the entire day in Copenhagen the day previously and so had always planned to head north the following morning. We were back at Tivoli by the afternoon so definitely recommend this as a day if you've the stamina. Very impressive castle and worth the visit. It would probably have been better a few weeks later when the wee boat on the Slotssøen was running again (too early in the season) but then I imagine you'd want more than just a morning in the area when the weather is warmer too. The bonus was that it was really quiet - you'll see from the photos we were often the only family in these huge and spectacular rooms.

Knuthenborg Safaripark is located in a lush area near the town of Maribo in Denmark and is considered one of the largest safari parks in Northern Europe. In this park, visitors can drive their own vehicles along designated routes through open and natural landscapes, getting up close to wild animals such as giraffes, tigers, rhinos, Arctic wolves, and many more. The natural and open setting allows animals to live in an environment similar to their native habitats, offering visitors a more authentic and immersive wildlife experience. In addition to the safari section, the park offers a variety of attractions for families, including a large playground, forest walking trails, and educational exhibits about the environment and animals. There are also accommodations within the park, allowing guests to stay overnight surrounded by nature and enjoy a unique and memorable experience. The park is designed to provide a peaceful and pleasant environment for both day trips and extended stays.

Would have rated it with more stars but the new experience of seeing tigers and lions is not good. There is very less chance of seeing those animals. Not from the bridge nor from the panoramic window. The good parts are the dinosaur forest experience and the 2 roller coasters for the thrill.

Hopefully this review can help the park make some improvements. The plus side is that you are able to get quite close to the animals and see savanna wildlife in a beautiful setting. The down sides are worth keeping in mind should you plan a family trip there. We stayed there overnight for a quite substantial amount of money for 2 adults and one 7 year old - approx 900 euros. Barely any staff available in the park. Poor directions and signage to drive around. Would be helpful to get a recommended order for the visit. And more info on the animals. In the tent, you are expected to wash, dry and put away your dishes with the threat of a 60 euro fine should you miss doing that. Empty your trash. Put on and take away your bed linen just to mention a few things that you would expect to be included when paying that much for 1 night. The food we ordered to prepare in the tent was bland. Compared to skanes djurpark in Sweden I would say you get much less for your money. I wrote a review for that too so anyone can check it out. It’s a pity because it’s such a beautiful sanctuary.

We’ve been to the park a few times and it never lets us down. The park is massive and there’s lots to see and discover. You can bring your own food or eat at the various points in the park dedicated to it, apart from the animals that stroll freely on huge terrains there’s also a big kiddy’s park at the bottom that if you go at the designated hours there’s a small rollercoaster and the water log ride included in the entrance price( that if you buy it online you save 30% off the price ) . Very recommended.

Great place. Kind and service minded staff. We rented a cabin for 4 days. Bring food whit you, if you rent a cabin. There are many picknic tables around the park. So you can bring food whit you on a daily trip also. If you rent a cabin gate close at 17:00 and you can't drive in or out. But you can walk around the park and some hours drive around. Great place for family. We was here in end of season.(October) a little cold, but it's was okey.

It’s a like in the wild experience. It’s really a big park so you’ll need to have your car to go around and see the animals, there are also places you can walk to see other animals. Better start the tour in the morning if you’re planning for just a day trip but they also offer accommodation for families. There’s also different activities for kids. 🫶🏻💕

Absolutely fantastic experience. The animals roam free and there are plenty to see. For me the highlight was the dinosaur museum! With a collection of real bones from the biggest dinosaurs, you get to feel small next to these huge creatures. Would highly recommend. And remember to buy tickets online

About an hour by train outside of Copenhagen city centre and then 10 minutes walk from Humlebaek station. The ticket can be book online but it was also super easy to buy it on arrival with no queue when we go on Sunday midday. There are a little bit of outdoor sculptures and some indoor gallery. Nice view and some interesting displays. There are 2 gift shops, one on the ground floor and one downstairs. I had a fun train ride.

This museum is a wonderful reason to take a short trip and experience another side of Denmark beyond Copenhagen. It offers a great opportunity to focus on and appreciate the works of talented contemporary artists. The outdoor installations, in particular, blend beautifully with the gardens and surrounding landscape. The number of artworks feels just right—not overwhelming—allowing you to take your time, enjoy the scenery, and relax as you explore, especially on a pleasant day.

Really amazing museum. Large galleries, beautiful outdoor space with ocean views, great 2-story gift shop and restaurant. Plan to spend about 2.5 hours wondering around. Really enjoyed the exhibits and architecture. We bought our tickets online and they were good for one use within one year of the time of purchase. The train ride is about an hour from downtown Copenhagen.

Beautiful museum, really recommend the trip out of the city to visit. Great, easy train journey too with a short walk to the museum which is set in the most fabulous building and grounds. We booked tickets in advance so we didn’t have to queue, which id recommend if you can. Loved the sculpture garden, definitely go on a dry day so you can make the most of the gardens and the views over the water. Wonderful cafe, with space to eat/drink outside in the sun. Great coffee. Beautiful shop with loads of fab design based gifts, art prints, ceramics, books and accessories. Cloakroom space through the back of the shop to store bags and coats in lockers is so useful. A card machine is available for those without local coins to use.

After being to several modern arts meseums I think they are not for my taste.I have to be objective tho. I think the exhibitions were smartly and beautifuly placed. The place itself was clean and not overcrowded. Nice cafe to relax, have a drink or a snack. Beautiful views at the sea while you walk in the garden area.

Visiting the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art was one of the highlights of our Copenhagen trip; it made for such a beautiful day out of the city. The museum is located in Humlebæk, about 35–40 minutes north of Copenhagen. We took the train and the journey was quick, scenic and very comfortable; once you arrive it’s only a short 10 walk from the station to the entrance ( just follow the crowd) The museum first opened in 1958 and was created with the vision of making modern art accessible in a place where people could experience it alongside nature rather than in a formal or intimidating setting. The architecture is stunning! Designed by Jørgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert, and the layout feels thoughtful and calm. There are long corridors of glass, open courtyards, natural light everywhere and pathways that lead you between indoor gallery spaces and the outdoors. It’s the kind of building where you notice something beautiful around every corner. The museum is known for showcasing both international and Danish modern and contemporary artists. They have an incredible permanent collection, and new exhibitions are rotated throughout the year so there is always something fresh to experience. The sculpture garden overlooking the sea might have been my favourite part; walking through the garden with large scale artworks and hearing the ocean just behind them felt very special. Inside there are two places to eat: one café outdoors along the sculpture garden path, and one beautiful indoor restaurant with large windows facing the ocean. We stopped at the restaurant and enjoyed a glass of wine and something delicious to eat while looking out over the coastline; such a peaceful moment in the middle of exploring. There is also a fantastic gift shop filled with design pieces, prints, books and souvenirs. Perfect if you want to take something home to remember your visit. This museum is big; we spent nearly the entire day there and I’m glad we didn’t rush. We took our time walking through the exhibitions, stopping for breaks, sitting outside, and exploring the gardens. It is absolutely the kind of place where slowing down makes the experience even better. Entry tickets cost 145 DKK for adults, with students holding a valid student card paying 125 DKK. Children and young adults under 18 have free entry. We bought our tickets on arrival and there was no wait at all, which made our visit feel relaxed from the start. Opening hours when we visited were Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 22:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00; the museum is closed on Mondays. I imagine summer weekends are the busiest, so if you prefer a quieter experience, weekdays are probably ideal. A quote that came to mind while wandering around was “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” It felt fitting, because this place truly lifts something inside you. If you are visiting Copenhagen and want a day where art, architecture and nature come together beautifully, I highly recommend coming here. It’s calming, inspiring and incredibly memorable; I would happily return again.

Lovely museum situated in a gorgeous place looking out on the ocean and Sweden. Loved some of the art, hated some of the art - the perfect modern art experience. The grounds were fun to explore and linked together with the sculptures and exhibition wings beautifully. Amazing shop as well, I wish I had more money as I would happily take most of it home

Rosenborg Castle is a historic site in central Copenhagen, best known for housing the Danish Crown Jewels and Royal Regalia. The rooms are well-preserved and give a good overview of Denmark’s royal history. The Treasury in the basement is a highlight. The surrounding King’s Garden is open to the public and great for a walk. Worth a visit if you're interested in history or culture. Buy tickets in advance to avoid lines.

Rosenborg Castle is a wonderful place to visit: full of history, charm, and beautifully preserved treasures. The interiors and royal collections are fascinating. However, the exhibition lighting could be improved, as some areas were quite dim and it was difficult to see certain displays clearly. Overall, still a great experience and definitely worth visiting!

Well truely a marvel of the history. Absolutely loved the aura of the castle and its surroundings. There is big park and lake in front of the castle. It is easy to get to the place, thanks to the well connected public transport systems. The architecture of the castle is something that is worth mentioning. I would recommend to read and learn about the history of the palace before visiting it so that you can just relive the past and get a feel of the same. If you are planning to go in a weekend, be prepared to wait for sometime as there would be rush.

Not wheel chair accessible. My first ever Royal Castle. Be prepared for low light conditions. The history is right up and close as I have ever been in a museum setting. So respect the access. I loved looking at all the fine quality work completed by the period artisans and amazing quality especially all the inlay works in wood, tile & gems. Stunning if you live feeling the history. The Royal Treasury is exceptional and shows what was valued and when. Even in October when I went the Gardens were blooming.

Beautiful and well-kept heritage. I tried to visit the day after the Copenhagen half-marathon, but I didn't have time to get tickets online so that I couldn't get inside. I recommend buying tickets in advance. However, upon walking around, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful castles I have seen recently, compared to what I saw in England.

Cool old castle. Lots of history. Some interesting stuff that you don't normally see in a castle like a farting chair and a king's toilet. This is like the old and more castle-ish version of Danish aristocratic housing. For the real palace feel of the monarchy visit Christiansborg Palace. The royal family actually live in nearby Amelienborg.

Beautiful site and an easy walk from the waterfront. You can also peek at the King’s Gardens out back — immaculately kept, of course. The day pass is worth it for convenient access to the castle. Free lockers are a nice touch, and the guards with bayonets add a bit of royal drama. Inside, the halls are filled with art and artifacts — the grand hall with the thrones and lion statues is a standout. Don’t miss the Crown Jewels in the walk-in vault downstairs, complete with a step ladder for the perfect view. A truly regal visit, well worth the stop.

An excellent park although off to a skeptical start when I saw the first ride we went on had a member of staff on to "pull the brake". Lots of rides to suit all with a fair number of "tummy turners". Queues were small and the facilities such as food and toilets were at a good standard. We used the Copenhagen card to get in but you need to pay extra for the rides. Was quite cold when we were there so dress appropriately. The teenage kids enjoyed it so that's a thumbs up !

Absolutely fantastic at Christmas! So beautiful love the trees the rides and all the shops. It’s expensive to visit at £28 per person but you can go in the day and get a re entry stamp And come back in the evening to see it all lit up. Also I saw families who took a picnic with them. This is a great idea as it’s a beautiful place to have a picnic and a glass of wine in the gardens. The lake is stunning at night. It gets very busy.

Its ok. If you're into food? Then great there's a lot of restaurants. There's only one roller-coaster and a few other attractions. Its expensive especially since all we wanted to do was look at the Christmas decorations. It looks amazing at night all lit up but still not worth $30 dollars.

Visited mid November, weather was pleasant during the hours of 5pm-8pm Fair amount of people about but not crowded and easy to navigate. Christmas themed throughout giving it that magic touch for this time of season. Much like the rest of Copenhagen nothing is cheap and being at the theme park its most likely a little bit more

Tivoli Gardens was at the very top of my list when we visited Copenhagen; and it honestly exceeded every expectation. We visited in early September during the Flower Festival and the whole place felt absolutely beautiful with bursts of colour everywhere. Tivoli first opened in 1843 which is wild to think about, and you can really feel that old world charm as soon as you walk in. There’s a lovely little story that Walt Disney visited Tivoli and was so inspired by its atmosphere and attention to detail that it helped inspire Disneyland; when you’re inside, that makes complete sense. We ended up spending nearly the entire day here; wandering through the gardens, listening to jazz bands play, popping into the little Christmas shops (yes, even in September), admiring the flower competition winners and going on a few of the rides. At one point I turned to my husband and said, “I feel like a kid again.” There was something so nostalgic and joyful about it, like stepping back into the magic of childhood. There are plenty of places to eat inside Tivoli depending on what you feel like; everything from quick bites and coffee to full sit down restaurants and even the beautiful Nimb Hotel right in the middle of it all. The food court is great if you want something casual and fast before exploring more. I also loved how different the park feels as the day turns into evening; during the day it’s lush and garden like, and then at night all the twinkle lights come on and it feels dreamy and romantic. Tivoli is open in different seasons throughout the year including Halloween and Christmas; I heard that November and December are extra special because Tivoli transforms into a Christmas wonderland with decorations, lights, markets and a completely different festive atmosphere. I would honestly love to go back in December just to experience that version of the park. Opening hours change depending on the season but it stays open late enough that you don’t need to rush. My biggest tip is to give yourself enough time. This isn’t the kind of place you speed through; it’s somewhere you stroll, snack, listen to music, ride the rides and just enjoy being there. Tivoli was one of the most memorable experiences of our Copenhagen trip; if you’re visiting the city, this is a must. It’s truly one of those rare places that makes you feel happy, light and a little bit enchanted.

Excellent theme park. We visited as decorated and themed for Christmas Was surprisingly a lot better than anticipated. Prices for ultimate tickets purchased on Get your Guide . Around £45 each . Great value. Lots to see and do. Food prices are similar to those around the city

This is one of the oldest amusement park in the world but it is well maintained. All the decoration and pop up events are to the point. Well decorated for the Halloween 🎃! ++ point: the food at the foodcourt is very tasty and wide range of selection.

Totally worth the visit! It has a very cool architecture spiraling all the way to the top, ending with a rooftop deck, amazing views and also an observatory. It has some art installations inside too.

The round tower is a must see if you visit Copenhagen! It is Europe’s oldest observatory building and it offers breathtaking views of the city. There is an art gallery on one of the floors which has some interesting pieces

Great attraction right in the city center. The ticket costs around €8. The climb is easy, with very few steps, and the views from the top are beautiful — you can see the entire city from above. There’s also a small museum and a small art exhibition inside. I didn’t visit many attractions in Copenhagen, but I’m glad I visited this one.

Not to be missed. The line was short (on a late Saturday morning). Built under the direction of Danish monarch Christian IV between 1637 and 1642, this impressive tower offers stunning views of the København skyline along with the Øresund Bridge and Sweden in the distance. There are stairs only at the top; the sloping ascent made it possible for Christian IV to view his realm while riding in his carriage.

Beautiful building and it was awesome that the tower's path is the slope so it was such a nice way to travel up and down the building, I love it! Fantastic view of the city skyline at the top with a cool astronomy tower within ☀️🌙⭐🔭 There are bathrooms, shop, and gallery half way up the path. You can find a little details about the building and a replica look like it made from cork. Also an art gallery at the shop. The old bathroom was very small and interesting 😁 The final path way up the Round tower is a narrow tight space stairs so you have to wait for the lights to go up and come back down as there is only enough space for a one way traffic. It took up about an hour to get up, look around, and come back out. Definitely a recommendation of things to do in Copenhagen!

A nice walk up the round tower! Not staircases, just a walkway like walking or driving up a multi-story parking. 😃 lovely 360 views at the top if the weather permits. Lucky when we went it was dry and sunny so it was just perfect!

Visiting the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen was a memorable experience. The sculpture itself is smaller than I expected, but it’s beautifully placed by the water and has a certain quiet charm. The surroundings are peaceful, with lovely views across the harbor, and it’s a nice spot for a walk. Even though it can get a bit crowded with tourists, it still feels special to see such an iconic landmark in person. A must-visit if you’re exploring Copenhagen!

The Little Mermaid – A Symbol of Copenhagen We visited the famous Little Mermaid statue, and while the statue itself is quite small, it’s definitely worth the visit. Nestled along the waterfront, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, offering peaceful views and a scenic walk leading up to the site. The walk itself is part of the experience – calm, relaxing, and filled with lovely views of the harbour. Do keep in mind that it’s a popular attraction, so it can get quite crowded. If you're hoping for a quieter moment, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. A charming and iconic stop on any Copenhagen itinerary.

Copenhagen in the Spring is a nice, relatively quiet port with mostly the usual features of European / Scandinavian ports. The only unique attraction is The Little Mermaid statue, small but with it's own history of abductions, kidnapping and beheadings. If you're lucky your guide will give you the local story of the Little Mermaid which is more of a Danish Tragedy, so beware of little ears who are enchanted by the Disney version. It isn't magical but it's interesting lore. Here are a few other shots of the city as there are ample and better pictures of the Mermaid than I could get under the lighting conditions.

The Little Mermaid bronze statue, located in Copenhagen, sits on a granite rock, on the water side of langeline promenade. It is 4.1 ft tall and weighs 175 kgs. The Statue was based on the fairy tale of Hans Christian Anderson and was unveiled to the public in 1913. However, it has now become a target for defacement, due to uncaring attitude of some people, despite attracting those tourist and visitors, who are smitten fairy tale lovers, ofcourse that includes me. I loved her quiet gaze, an unassuming sureness of her existence to continue.

I visited the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen around dusk since it gets dark early this time of year. It wasn’t crowded, which made it easy to take pictures. There were no tickets or anything like that, you just walk up to it. The statue itself was nice to see in person, though it felt a bit simple to me. Still, it was a fun stop and worth seeing while in the city.

it’s a very beautiful and symbolic statue as the sea wraps around it. around the mermaid there’s also a very nice park with amazing statues and church! there are a lot of people coming there for pictures so be prepared if you come in the afternoon!

Free activity - a little underwhelming to be honest, it’s also quite far out to the north of the city. If you on a tight schedule probably better to skip but if you have plenty of time & love the Hans Christian Andersen stories then pop past for a photo - there are actually some beautiful sights near the little mermaid which you can enjoy

A very pleasant and lively area. A boat tour is recommended. You can see many places in an hour. I think there are two boat tours. One is very cheap. You should ask about the difference and choose accordingly.

Visited Nyhavn over the weekend and absolutely loved it! 🌈 The colorful houses along the canal look stunning, especially on a sunny day ☀️. Tip: for the best photo, click from the opposite side of the canal 📸. Lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the cheerful Copenhagen vibes 🇩🇰.

Nice view to take pictures. Both side of the canal has dozens of shops to hang out and buy souvenirs. All are expensive then what is priced outside of this zone. There is a big obnoxious ship in the canal and it is hard to take a nice reflective photo with the colorful buildings. That is why I personally like the one in Trondheim Norway.

Lively waterfront with many restaurants! I love the atmosphere but it was very crowded at the same time. We had a Thai food at Charm restaurant close by for dinner and the ice cream for dessert just across the road from Vaffelbageren Nyhavn. It's definitely a lovely place to walk around and soak up the vibe!

It's a must see and very photographic landmark area. There are numerous restaurants and small shops. You catch a canal tour here as well. Don't forget to visit the shop where Hans Christian Anderson once lived.

If you want to see only one place in Copenhagen, it should be definitely Nyhavn. Fabulous and lovely! Full of nice and cozy cafe and restaurant around it.

Nyhavn is so colorful and charming! Loved walking around, checking out the boats, enjoying the cute cafés, and of course taking tons of photos hehe

GeoCenter Møns Klint is a nice educational centre focusing on the Møns Klint area, it hosts exhibitions and activities. Onsite there are play areas, washrooms, cafeteria and gift shop.

It was a great hike (Tour 5) that we did. I really like the rugged and wild coast there. You should plan on spending half a day there, but more is fine too. From the seaside it is also amazing, tours are starting from Klintholm Havn

No wonder it has became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stunning natural wonder, with a Museum and activities that allows you to understand the factors behind this wonder. We also did the Tour 5, with two kids, 6 and 8. Smaller kids could also do it, bit forget about Strollers.

Beautiful, scenery and the beach, the stairs. Geo museums, and souvenir shops… nice to chill on the outdoor cafe.

I can highly recommend the Geocenter. In combination with a walk/hike at the cliffs, a very exiting and diverse day. The museum is very interactive, interesting and family friendly. When you are interested a bit in geology and nature, you will like it. Parking is 6 Euro per day, the entrance is a bit expensive but worth it.

One of the most visited sites in Denmark - for a reason. A great geological site to bring your kids for an exiting hike and experience. Look for fossils on the beach or awe the 70 million year old limestone cliffs raise from the sea.

The greenhouses are stunning! It's curated into geographical regions. There's rainforest and desert sections and it's very easy to walk through. The outdoor area is also really beautifully designed. Plenty of spaces to sit and have a picnic. You can lay on the grass in some areas too. They have a cafe and bar area so you can get snacks and drinks. The garden is huge too, so you can easily spend half a day here. Amazing.

You could spend a whole day here! It is absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. I always try to go to a botanical garden when I travel. I spent about 4 hours here strolling the grounds and greenhouses. My favorite area was the pond with all the lily pads and chatty frogs. I highly recommend visiting if you have the time.

Botanical Garden & Museum Berlin – A Deep Breath of Nature This garden is more than a green space — it’s a living story of the earth. Each path and greenhouse reveals a new layer of nature’s beauty. Very nice botanical garden. They're more focused on displaying regions and their plant life, than on "look, this is a pretty garden". They for example recreated the Alps on a scale of 1:10,000. Nevertheless, they do have some very pretty areas.

Mesmerizingly beautiful and lush, Berlin Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum is one of Berlin's somewhat underrated gems. Admission is very reasonable, with children under 14 getting in for free and adult tickets being at 10 euros. An absolute highlight of our visit was an elegant and curious red fox 🦊that kept reappearing. As if we got a bonus admission to a zoo🤪 Fun memories to behold!

Berlin is a beautiful city, but it can be a little bleak with the history, but this amazing botanical garden and greenhouse complex erases the bad mojo. Definitely the highlight of my few days in Berlin. Should not be missed if you come here, whatever the season.

Lovely place overall. You can walk around for several hours. Very big area. There's a lot of to see. Easy to find also toilets and it's very clean.

Magnificent Baroque palace, initially build by August Strong as a an orangery and gardens, destroyed by the ally bombings in 1945, restored in 50s and 60s . You can walk on the roof of the galleries and admire the beauty of it. It's open till late evening and the entrance is free.The inner garden part is currently ( as of August 2025) under renovation. The galleries house 2 museums - one of mathematical instruments and another is porcelain gallery ( which I highly recommend). When we were there in one of the towers a classical music concert was held. It was beautiful to listen to music in a such beautiful place.

I visited the Zwinger in Dresden and really enjoyed the experience. There is a lot to see here, and the place itself feels quite special. The architecture is impressive and honestly a bit overwhelming – you can just stand there and keep looking at all the details. Every corner has something interesting, from the buildings themselves to the sculptures and the way everything is arranged. It was a bit crowded when I visited, but that didn’t really stop me from enjoying it. You still have plenty of space to walk around and take your time. I found myself slowing down just to notice the small details, and it was worth it. Overall, I think it’s one of those places you shouldn’t miss if you’re in Dresden. It’s not only about seeing a landmark, but also about the feeling of being surrounded by such a unique piece of history and design.

This is an absolute must-see in Dresden. There’s no need to explain why — just go. The palace offers much more to see than you might expect, so make sure to allow plenty of time for your visit. It’s truly worth the admission fee. The art museum was particularly impressive !

Dresden Zwinger is an absolutely beautiful place—one of those spots where you instantly feel like you’ve stepped into another century. The architecture is breathtaking, with elegant palace buildings, detailed façades and peaceful courtyards that make the whole complex feel almost magical. It’s the kind of place where you can just stroll around, soak in the atmosphere, admire the gardens, and truly appreciate the history and beauty of Dresden. A must-see when visiting the city.

What a beautiful palace. Baroque at its best. Apparently nearly completely destroyed during world War 2 it now shines once more. Different exhibitions at the 4 wings with porcelain, old master and physics. Close to all the downtown historic buildings. In walking distance to the Frauenkirche. A definite must see.

We walked here to do something. It was pretty. We went across the street to rooftop bar pretty good view and sunset was pretty.

The Old Masters Gallery, home to the “Sistine Madonna,” is a highlight, along with impressive porcelain and scientific collections. The site is well-kept, atmospheric, and beautiful both day and night. A visit truly feels worthwhile.

The Fürstenzug took me by surprise—so detailed and grand, yet tucked along a quiet street. From my perspective, it’s one of those places that really brings history to life. The scale and craftsmanship of the porcelain mural are incredible, and it’s amazing how well it’s been preserved. It’s definitely worth pausing here while exploring the old town—it doesn’t take long, but it leaves a lasting impression.

the procession of princes is enormous 102-meter-long porcelain mural that basically tells the history of saxony. it features 94 figures of all the saxon rulers and nobles in chronological order, starting way back in 1127. what's really cool is that it's made from an incredible 25,000 meissen porcelain tiles, which makes it the world's largest porcelain artwork. you'll find it right on augustusstraße, so it's super easy to check out as you're walking between dresden's main attractions. and the best part? you can view it completely free

What an excellent and exquisite display of porcelain art. I believe the art shows a march of the Saxon ruler dynasty and is the larger porcelain mural in the world. When you come upon the wall, the sheer size of it is jaw dropping. You won’t be able to believe what you are seeing. It is beautiful. This is a must see sight when you visit Dresden.

We visited the Fürstenzug in December 2024 during the Christmas market, and we were truly impressed. Hahhh, what can I say or express? It was an incredible experience to stand in front of this massive wall of history. This open-air artwork is both grand and full of detail, yet located on a quiet street in Dresden’s historic center. * Stretching 102 meters long, the mural is made of over 23,000 Meissen porcelain tiles and portrays the genealogy of the Wettin dynasty, which ruled Saxony for centuries. It’s considered the largest porcelain mural in the world. Originally painted between 1871 and 1876, it was later replaced with porcelain tiles from 1904 to 1907 to withstand the weather. In addition to princes, kings, and dukes, the mural also features scientists, craftsmen, farmers, and even children — which gives the artwork a more human and timeless feel. It’s a true open-air history lesson. The visit is free, quick, and unforgettable. Definitely worth stopping by while exploring the Old Town. And afterward, take a break at one of the lovely nearby cafés! I Recommend it.

Once I arrived in Dresden, I had to take the latest available train to see this. It’s more than I expected. On weekends, this alley can get a little crowded, so you might have to wait a while to get a good picture. :)

This beautiful and historic mural, which we explored during a walking tour, runs along the Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) building. The intricate artwork, done in the style of sgraffito, is impressive and worth pausing to admire. The mural tells the story of Saxony’s history, making it both visually and historically captivating. It’s free to view, and you could spend 15-20 minutes here as part of a walking tour of Dresden’s historic centre.

We visited as it’s our last day, it’s pretty impressive how much money, time, and effort to rebuild all these historic buildings, including this Church of our Lady. Inside still haven’t had much to see but still nice to visit. Free entry but if you wish to climb up to the viewing tower over 100 steps then have a fee.

This is a beautiful church that is the jewel of Dresden. I loved visiting the church as well as sitting outside in one of the many cafes and restaurants and taking in the view. Church entrance is free. It’s gorgeous inside. If you want to climb up the dome, you need to go around the back. I think it was €12 entrance. The views are great from the top. There are a good few steps going up to start and then there is a ramp around the dome which makes it far easier to ascend.

Brilliant history! In the final days of WWII, the whole city was bombed including this church which was a very important part of Dresden. Following the reunification of German, it was rebuilt using some of the original stone! The building is incredible and there is a stunning view from the top. A must visit!

It's free to walk into the main part of the church where you can see the beautiful interior, and 10€ per person to climb to the top of the church. The stairs are pretty easy most of the way up, and up until after you finish walking up a big sloped ramp near the end you must also get up some VERY steep and skinny stairs (so beware, if you're a claustrophobe or don't like heights). But the view of Dresden is so worth it if you do it.

The magnificent Frauenkirche! When I last visited decades ago, the church was nothing but a pile of rubble—or more accurately, a heap of stones—serving as a stark reminder of the devastation of war. Reconstruction began in 1994, and on October 30, 2005, it was officially reopened. The church hall is impressively tall and richly decorated. You can climb up to the dome, but we didn’t have time for that on this visit. I’m sure the views from up there—both into the church and across Dresden—are breathtaking. If you only have time to visit one attraction in Dresden, I’d choose the Frauenkirche.

We came for a Mozart concert. It was fabulous. This rebuild baroque church is bright and beautifully grand. It holds around 3000 guests and is decorated with much gold and adornments.The seats were comfortable not like other old churches.it was warm and without drafts.

Great place to hiking, on website was mentioned that all roads are expert, but as I feel you can go even with kids. One minus, if you want to sit on the top in restaurant you need to pay for entrance, I think it strange decision , as you will pay for food and drinks. Queue for tickets in weekend 15-25 min

In a stunning location amazing place for those who like hiking. It is quite steep in places but the path is beautifully done so everyone can do it. The hike took about 1.5 hours to get to the most incredible natural arch I have ever seen and it is worth to get exhausted on the way. The award on the top is fantastic, lovely restaurant and magnificent views. Access to the final part is restricted by times so it is worth to check out before trip to avoid disappointment and also you have to pay for it but cost is not expensive. Car park available on the bottom in the nearest town.

Truly amazing natural formation. The walk is a bit far from the bottom but manageable. Bring comfortable shoes, open toe are not recommended, there's a lot of loose gravel, sand, and boulders. Once at the top the cost at the main door is 125 kc, but online you can pay 50 kc. Definitely recommended. Walk along the outside edge of the archway and get some great pictures.

We had an extremely interesting hiking experience, saw incredible landscapes and beauties. You have to see it with your own eyes. Parking for a car costs 12 euros. It takes from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to climb up, depending on your physical condition. Entrance to the most interesting places on the mountain costs 5 euros. The road from Prague by car is about 2 hours. Interesting, beautiful, you will not regret it

Well… even just being here means surrendering yourself to the genius loci of this world-class natural wonder! So close one eye a little.. enjoy your refreshment in this rather simple buffet.. and don’t be surprised by the crowds. What truly matters is the wooden chateau itself.. magnificent building that literally breathes history.

Good experience with family to take a loooooong walk in the nature. Need to have good shoes on, water. We paid to get inside the restaurant and the Gallery, but the toilets are out of drift, yes, after long trip, you are enjoying your beer, and then realize no WC. Some of the paths are not easy to walk, just be safe. Again the waitress doesn't speak English at all.

We visited this stunning site during the Easter holidays, and while it was quite crowded, the experience was absolutely worth it. The hike begins at Hřensko, with a well-marked trail leading you upward. There’s ample parking available at the base, but it fills up quickly—so it's best to arrive early. The trail is fairly steep in places, so wearing proper hiking shoes and carrying enough water is highly recommended, especially if you're visiting on a warm day. Once you reach the top, there’s a small entrance fee. At the summit, you will find a cafe, a kiosk, clean restrooms and an information center where you can purchase souvenirs. Note that the kiosk and souvenir shop accept cash only, so be sure to bring some with you. The panoramic views from the top are absolutely breathtaking - perfect for taking a break and soaking in the scenery.

I left the place with tears in my eyes. In my life I have visited many zoos in many places around the world, but I have never seen animals so sad, exhausted, neglected. The place is really depressing. There are many restaurants and play areas for children there. The signage is simply terrible! We followed the exit sign and it took us right to the other end of the zoo and we had to walk about fifteen minutes to the parking lot.

Nice mid-sized zoo ( the first one founded in Czech Republic in 1904) where one can easily spend 2-3 hours. Animals look happy and taken care of. Food inside is ok to feed the kids.

Poor male lion was just really suffereing through lack of stimulus and just taking 2-3 steps and turning around. Solitary elephant. Solitary tapier with nothing. No access to bedding. Like the lion just pacing up and down.A pond but securly fenced off. Solitary elephant just a small concrete surface clearly suffering No grass or vegetation like most enclosures. Painfull to see Flamingos rubbing their beaks on hard ground desparately wanting the right conditions. I could go on but definitely a place to miss. The botanical gardens are 5 mins walk away. I was there in April 2025, so i opted for the €1 Euro zoo as little in flower. Big mistake I do hope Trust pilot publish because we need the trooth

If the volières for the animals weren’t so tiny I would have given this place 5*. Animals were bored because they hadn’t enough space. Especially it concerns larger species. Seeing them in those prison cages was very sad. 😢 If I had money I would definitely invest into a reconstruction of that place! 😖

Very nice zoo with special white tigers - the main attraction. Definitely worth visiting while in town. You can spend there like 2 hours. The cats seems to have a smaller rooms that I would expected. That’s actually similar for all animals here - you would think they should have more space but yeah, it’s a zoo 🤷🏼‍♂️ there is only one restaurant and one cafe so when visiting during weekend the line was ridiculous.

We visited this zoo with our 2 kids. The entrance price is very affordable (€5,- for adults) and the zoo itself looks nice with lots of trees. Many cages are kinda small for the animals and needs renovation. There are 2 play ereas for the kids. Both are fun and looks neat.

I’m leaving my opinion with regards to the visit to the castle, not the hotel. Unfortunately the trip went bad. We have a 2 years old daughter and my wife is 7 months pregnant. Usually this is not an issue and we are used to travel quite a lot, our daughter as well. We visit castles, museums etc. When a visit involves going down or up a very narrow tower or suffocating space, the guide informs visitors in advance. Well, not here. The group was quite numerous for those spaces and at the end of the tour, we were invited to visit the cellars but, little did we know that this involved going down a very very claustrophobic space. So my wife had to go back almost fainting and my little daughter didn’t handle that and I had to follow my wife. Of course with ZERO help from the guide or other visitors. That was just..bad. Overall the experience as a human was negative.

As a foreigner non polish speaking person the experience was mediocre at best. We were told that we could not see the castle unless we joined a tour. They only offered polish speaking tours apparently. The guide seemed mad at us for being there. Very poorly serviceminded. The castle it self was beautiful. But would it recommend for non polish speakers.

The promotional materials claim that the castle looks like something out of Harry Potter… well, that’s quite an exaggeration. I get that they need to attract tourists somehow, but the PR team really let their imagination run wild here. Take that description with about 2% truth—maybe even less. But the surroundings, especially in autumn, are truly beautiful.

Fantastic place to visit with great history. As a hotel I would say it mid-range, with simple breakfast and small car park. But the surroundings makes up for that. And quite expensive to be honest.

It’s true that the castle and its grounds are spectacular — perched above the river with rose gardens and fountains, with its old walls and ramparts intact. The hotel, on the other hand, is a letdown. First, hotel parking was not free nor was it close to the castle. Written info on the castle is not available in English (confusing, as some signage inside is in English). There is no seating in the lobby, which is OK only when weather is nice. The vast majority of the castle is not accessible, nor was a tour offered when I checked in. There are amenities listed online and in their brochure that do not exist (e.g. a sauna and spa facilities). Wifi was spotty and at times did not work at all. think it’s a shame that one of Europe’s most spectacular castle hotels is, as it turns out, not very nice at all.

I was expecting more, at least something like Książ. Unfortunately, the group was quite big and noisy and at times it was hard to hear the guide. The castle itself is just average, not more than that. The ticket price is 10 euros for an adult, which is 5 times more expensive than in some Spanish castles. I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it to my friends either.

It's a very historically important church. It's a wooden church with beautiful exterior architecture. There's a small cemetery surrounding the church. While many churches in Poland are free to enter, this one costs 14 zł, with an additional 5 zł if you have a camera. I didn't go in because there were large groups of people inside.

Worth to see, very nice little wooden church with beautiful well maintained grounds. Ticket is cheap and you can spend there as much time as you want. To there there you can leave your car on paid parking and take a walk. Some little shops and coffee places around. View is spectacular

Karpacz and Wang Church are kinda places you should visit before die! I had visit there by my bike 🚲, saw amazing nature and had an amazing experience.

If you want to see an original Norwegian Stave Church without travelling North, that is the solution. The history behind is even more interesting. Definitely worth visiting.

Zamek Książ is one of the tourist attractions that you must visit if you are nearby. The third largest castle in Poland has an interesting history and the castle tour will delight you. You can spend a whole day here without getting bored.

We walked in the summer, but wanted to see this castle last winter, which might be a bit problem as the path may have been a bit slippery. It's a nice circuit along the river, quite uphill, from St Anne's church, (ruins) through the old castle to the new chateau , which is beautiful and the park maintained, free to enter. The place is photogenic and on the way there you can stop at the viewpoint. However, choose the right part of the day not to have the sun directly to your eyes.

Unbelievable castle! Very huge with an extended park. Tha castle itself is nicely decorated and furnished. You can feel the atmosphere of the past. By official suggestion you need 2.5 hours to go round but we did it shorter because we didn't have too much time. We went on the underground tour as well which is very interesting. It was part of the Rise Project of nazi Germany. A sharp contrast with the peaceful world of the castle!! You have to climb a lot of stairs!! Be careful. But it is worth!

Tickets cost around 60pln for visit a castle. The whole tour takes around 1h. The castle is really good renovated and has a lot to see. Parking cost us 30pln . With the ticket you have also entrance to the garden. I did not have to wait to visit this place

It was an interesting visit, but there were some organizational issues. Ksiaz Castle is definitely worth a visit. The self-guided tour of the interior is interesting and informative. Seeing the original furniture and décor from different historical periods was fascinating and really helped us imagine life in those times. The castle is large, and the tour takes about one to two hours, depending on your pace. You can explore at your own pace, which is a big plus. After finishing the tour of the interior, you can access the gardens, where you can walk around, relax, and even grab a bite to eat at the café. Note that prices are on the expensive side. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience with the security staff. Due to the large number of visitors, it was difficult to stop and take photos, so I wanted to walk back and capture some shots I had missed. However, I was told that going against the flow is not allowed, even though I saw someone else (not a staff member) doing so freely. It felt inconsistent and frustrating. Make sure not to skip the underground section of the tour. It provides fascinating insight into the castle’s role during WWII. It's quite cold underground, so bring a warm layer. Plan to spend about 40 minutes down there. Overall: It's a beautiful, historic place worth visiting, but be prepared for some crowd-related limitations during peak times.

Better to come earlier to prevent huge queue for the tickets. Use terminals to the left from tickets office (same enter as tickets office), they were totally free. Great and clean place inside and outside. P.s. if you want to enjoy coffee after visiting castle - better stay in cafe inside (NOT on terrace), because they have huge queue and bad coffee quality. So buy inside whatever you want (as take away) and enjoy terrace view.

A little over 2 hours drive from Prague, but worth the journey! Breathtaking scenery around every bend. The main green trail is easy. The yellow trail is more intense terrain, but well marked. Impossible to get lost. I spent 5 hours here.

Incredible piece of nature. It is not my first time here but I always enjoy it. No toilets, but the walk is not that long. Outside places with souvenirs, food and drinks. Cash only for food, tickets are fine for debit card.

The Adršpach-Teplice Rocks are absolutely stunning! The natural rock formations and breathtaking scenery make it a must-visit destination. We opted for the green trail, a beautiful hike that took us around an hour and a half through the park. The walk was peaceful and offered amazing views at every turn. Just a heads up, you need to book your tickets in advance. We scheduled our visit for 5:00 PM, which turned out to be the perfect time—great weather and fewer crowds. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place and gorgeous nature. I recommend taking the blue trail, it is over 6 km and not simple, but there are the most beautiful rocks there.

I recommend coming here. It’s a long walk up but when you get to the top it is well worth it. You might want to take some snacks and water with you.

What a great place to visit! Trails and mountains are breathtaking, well maintained and beautiful. Strongly recomend.

Absolute must when in the area. The pathway along the gorges and maze like rock formations of Szczeliniec are breath taking and also loads of fun to squeeze via various narrow pathways feeling closer to nature than ever. One spot I had to go down on all 4s as otherwise would never make it but still had a blast. There’s also a mountain shelter on top with a variety of food, snacks, gifts and drinks for before taking the between rocks path. People say it’s worth to buy tickets in advance, but in early November there was no need. So if you’re planning in peak season check the website for an early purchase.

There are many nice hiking trails in Stołowe mountains. This is the most crowdy, popular and probably interesting one. Mostly because great view platforms. Easy to climb and walk. 2 hours in total.

Highly recommended to visit here with kids. Tickets can be booked online to avoid the queue. Preferred on Weekdays if it is summer.

Breathtaking views! Wear tracking boots, water, some food. Walking to the top is about 20-40 min, depends on your physical condition. I was there in about 12:30 PM and there were some groups of people. Not too crowded. Back road is easy.

What a wonderful adventure going into the labyrinth of this place. A journey through the cracks and crevices of the rocks that form these flat topped mountains. Huge descents and steep rises, yet doable for all ages.

I visited Wrocław Zoo on two separate occasions in September 2025 in order to make the most of my time in the city and the weather. I visit zoos across the world in order to photograph their animals, and would consider the one in Wrocław among the best. The zoo is well laid out, with many indoor houses and outdoor enclosures for species across the animal kingdom. The houses that most impressed me were the Terrarium (for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates) and the Afrykarium for African fauna. The Terrarium is laid out over two floors (unfortunately not accessible to wheelchairs) and contains around 100 exhibits for animals ranging from tiny insects to crocodiles and giant tortoises. All of these are appropriate in size and conditions for their inhabitants. Many of the animals here can only be seen here in Europe, including some tiny colourful geckos from the Indian Ocean. I spent several hours in here on my two visits, photographing all the animals I could see. The Afrykarium takes you on a journey through the continent and its waters. The only deviation from this theme was to replace the rare African manatees with their slightly more common Caribbean relative, of which I could see five individuals swimming in their tank. Other inhabitants include penguins, fur seals, sharks, hippopotamus, aardvarks, and elephant shrews. The building is accessible to wheelchairs with a few elevators, but one was out of service on my visit. Other notable exhibits include the bird house, with its many rare species, Pallas’s cats, and olive baboons. Overall I recommend a visit to anyone interested in birds, endangered species, unusual reptiles, or just animals in general.

I absolutely loved my visit to the Wrocław Zoo! It’s one of the most beautiful and well-organized zoos I’ve ever been to. The animals look healthy and well cared for, and the enclosures are clean and spacious. The Afrykarium is a must-see — it feels like stepping into another world! 🐠🐧 There are plenty of places to relax, grab a snack, and enjoy the atmosphere. Perfect for families, couples, or just a peaceful walk surrounded by nature and animals. Highly recommend visiting! 🌿🐘🦓

Truly amazing experience! The Wrocław Zoo is much bigger than I expected and incredibly well kept. You can really see that the animals are healthy, well fed, and properly cared for — everything feels very natural and clean. There are so many different species to see, and the Afrykarium is just breathtaking! The only small downside is that not every section has English translations, but honestly, it didn’t stop us from enjoying it at all. It’s a wonderful place for both kids and adults — definitely one of the best zoos I’ve ever visited. Highly recommended!

Great value for ticket cost, 176zł (£36.05 for x2 ticket, £18 per person). So many animals, a lot to see, indoor aquarium was amazing and tunnel under the sharks and rays was a highlight. Hot dogs from cafe at beginning were great, little expensive compared to other places (48zł for x2 hot dogs, x1 cola, x1 water, £8.82. Each hot dog at 12zł (£2.45) compared to 8.99zł (£1.84) for hot dogs and cola bottle elsewhere). Gift shop closed hour before zoo closed so missed out on getting any items from there sadly

Absolutely stunning—easily one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to, and I’ve seen quite a few. Massive grounds, an incredible variety of animals, and more than enough to fill an entire day. A definite must-visit if you’re in Wroclaw.

Great ZOO with quite a long history! I'd especially recommend pavilon with manatees (there is not very many places to see those in Europe) and very nice terrarium. There is an underground parking nearby, so you can leave your dog in the car without worries even if it's hot outside. Very worth visiting once you are in Wroclaw!

An incredible zoo with lots to see including an aquarium. The zoo covers a huge area and it’s really enjoyable to explore the grounds and buildings on site. Highly recommend a visit and would suggest half a day to explore as a minimum.

I definitely recommend this historical Fort museum for visiting. Amazing view for the town, landscape and mountains. A lot of tables with different interesting historical information. My child has loved this place also, especially the hospital. Take in advance that you need more than 2 hour to visiting all this place But it definitely worth it.Very deep history

Wonderful place to visit. It is really big. Just note that there were several beer breweries! Underground labyrinths must have to visit a well. It's amazing.

A very impressive fort, with a rich history throughout the ages. The museum is full of tales from the past and from the many different nations whom once claimed it as their own. The many facilities in the fort tell a thrilling story of the functions and the people who worked here. A well preserved historic site, worth visiting in the area.

Such a cool place to visit. This unique fortification complex is one of the kind. We recommend to buy combined ticket to tour the fort and the underground tunnels/the labyrinth. The views of Kłodzko town and surrounding hills from the observation points are remarkable.

We paid 60pln for castle and labirent I think it’s a lot for this place because it’s a castle in 24.500 people population city It might be quite important place however they don’t even have English guide for the tour . I tried to understand with the things they put for reading but Some of parts were just polish as well. Inside was not super interesting and only tunnel was okey to see The lady explained everything Polish and we didn’t understand anything and we got bored . It’s not worth it money 💰

Plece is ok to visit, but nothing very special. If I were to visit this place again, I would choose to see the sights without a tour guide.

The ticket you get is good for the whole day. You may also re-enter the fortress on the same day. The guided tour is interesting. It takes you also through several exhibitions, but there isn't much time to see them through. You might want to consider visiting them again after the tour is over.

Really nice zoo where they are taking really good care of the animals! Almost each species has a space with trees, leaves and everything they need. I really recommend visiting this Zoo! You can buy tickets at the entrance. The parking costs 100 CZH per day.

Very nice zoo - it’s a great connection between animals and botanical gardens in park style. If you are hungry- you can use a full variety of food and cafes. Children also won’t be sad or bored - they can use many different areas for play and joy. Visiting this place is very valuable and gives many opportunities to learn and explore our environment. Five stars and full recommendations!

I visited on a sunday and it was a bit busy. The animal enclosures are big and look like a natural habitat. It is well maintained, clean and the animals are in great shape. They also have breeding programs and overall seems like a very humane zoo.

We drove there to spend the day-date accompanied by exotic animals. We weren’t dissapointed although we were concerned that the animals were a bit cramped up.

A heathen here. A pretty magnificent church. Our tour uses a local tour guide who takes us through the church while the Mass is in progress. He's also very thorough with the small museum. The church is dedicated to Black Madonna (the Virgin Mary), mother of Jesus. Reportedly, she possessed extraordinary power.

I love this place a lot. As soon as you walk through the gates it feels like you enter a little village on its own!!! It's a really peaceful and sacred place. I can only recommend ^^

Gorgeous buildings and surroundings. We were lucky enough to be there while mass was on. The sound of singing fills the place with reverie. There are multiple areas of the compound that are well worth a visit.

Wonderful shrine, a must-see while around Krakow. The icone of our Lady, the beautiful church, a very interesting treasury and museum, and breathtaking view at the top of the tower, all these make this place a magical one.

This is considered to be a sacred place with a miracle-making icon. This historical place is visited by the Pope, too. The architecture with inside decoration of the churches is beautiful! The entrance is free. There is a large parking behind the cathedral complex. Many pilgrims come here every year.

Lovely little animal park. It sort of comes as a surprise to find an alpaca walking on the road alongside you. GREAT collection of owls but their enclosures are small enough to make you kind of go "Oh, poor thing." But the falconer show is well worth the visit! Those guys are good, even though they couldn't get the eagle out for the kids this time. So it goes. Big playground but some bits are paid and the carnies there are a little slimy, but they give the kids lots of time on the trampoline. The restaurant up top is very Polish in that they have a lovely large menu posted outside that you spend twenty minutes staring at and deciding then go in and they say "We have two things, everything else no." Seems to be a theme around these parts. But the řizek was good and the fries were really good. My wife also praised the coffee from the stand at the playground for actually serving a decent-sized coffee. You won't need the whole day here, but it is a nice way to spend a morning and lunch, especially if you have kids.

Great experience with my family even on a rainy day. The birds of pray show was breathtaking and the beautiful forrest animals we saw were already worth the ticket price. Additionally, the stuffed animal and antlers display was very informative and you can touch. Did not expect to see the racoons. :-) Other than that the carousels were dismantled in winter and the fairytale display a bit dated, but it gave us a laugh. We used up the whole bag of the feed purchased at the gate feeding some hungry deers. Warning: To get there you have to hike up along unpaved road, or find a parking spot, which due to the building site works are limited. Pro tip: Hotel Diament two streets below is a delicious gourmet spot for lunch/dinner afterwards.

Great place to spend a few hours, at a relatively reasonable price. Food was tasty at the cafe at the top. The deers were very friendly and lovely to feed and stroke. The bird show was decent. Plenty of free parking available.

Nice cheap day out for the family, two flying displays, owls and other birds of prey. Lots of animals running wild in the park, goats, deer and alpacas. A small amusement park in the summer with games for the kids and places to. Bar and hot food served at the top of the park all year around. Good wholesome day out feeding the goats and donkey.

There are a few animals, mostly owls and birds of prey in cages. You can touch and feed sikas and llamas if they are not overfed by crowds of people. If you have a stroller with little wheels, you are screwed as there are mostly gravel paths. In the centre there is a little amusement park for kids. For 12 euros/person you get very little. If you want to see a lot of animals in better conditions, make a trip to the Ostrava zoo which is a proper zoo for roughly half price.

We visited Leśny Park Niespodzianek a few days ago on a sunny day. The park was busy but not overcrowded. Unfortunately, the visit was very sad for me. Almost all of the animals looked bored and apathetic. The deer and alpacas roam freely and you can buy feed at the entrance, but it is a waste of money as the animals showed no interest at all. The enclosures in general are poorly designed and lack care. The worst were the wildcats: tiny, dirty cages, full of cobwebs, with no enrichment or places to hide. They were lying curled up on the bare ground. I have visited many wildlife parks in Germany, but I have never seen such poor conditions there. The raccoons were in a similar situation, kept in a small cage with no shelter and nothing to play with. I also felt very sorry for the beautiful birds of prey, kept in enclosures far too small for such large, majestic animals. In my opinion, the so-called Fairy Tale Alley with loud music does not belong in a place where wild animals live, since the noise must cause them additional stress. Our 3-year-old child enjoyed the playground, especially the large ball pit and the diggers. However, the alpacas have their food and water right in the middle of the playground and are constantly bothered by people. I even saw them being touched or hit by the swings while people were playing. The park is hardly accessible with a stroller, which was fine for us as we did not have one. The ticket price is far too high for just a few hours, especially when you see the poor condition of the animals. Conclusion: A place with huge potential that, sadly, is not being used. As long as the animals are kept in such conditions, I cannot and will not recommend this park.

a great place to spend time with your loved ones. the possibility of communing with animals of our Polish forests. animals have already become accustomed to visitors and, above all, to children. the part with birds and the show of flying predators deserve attention. for PLN 32 per person, you can spend a nice day. When choosing a place, remember a few important things: good, comfortable shoes, because walking is a lot steep and rocky. if you are going with small children do not take the pram. downside is the waiting time at the checkout. the owner should take care of more bandwidth. I highly recommend this place.

Was a somber experience being in a place of death and torture, especially for my family members who endured this egregiously harsh and inhumane reality during WWII. We were never told to purchase tickets in advance so the museum was booked solid when we drove 3.5 hours from Warsaw to visit. The new Israeli owners, as crazy as it seems, have made it more difficult to gain entry with a walk in. We are able to observe the outskirts which was just as surreal and contained some valuable informative sights to see.

Incredibly somber and emotional experience. Seeing the scale of what happened here is overwhelming. We visited on a nice sunny day, but I couldn’t help but feel what the conditions must have felt like for those held within the camp during the harsh polish winters. A must see for anyone to remind us of what happened and try to ensure it can never happen again.

A huge museum, which is being restored to this day and is still being preserved. Book the tour in advance because you can get alone and for free only after 15:00. We got a very nice girl guide, it was very interesting and pleasant to listen to. We visited both camps, the total tour took about 4 hours. This place is very atmospheric, creepy. It is obligatory for everyone to visit, you need to know and not forget the history so that there are no more such things.

Probably one of the most badly organised tourist destinations in the world ! Always wanted to visit but was very disappointed, the complete cluster fxxk of the main entry, the inability to secure private tickets in advance via a official site, this resulted in almost 45 min to wait in a outdoor line until we could get to the ticket office and then another 2 hour wait until our time slot to actually get through the gate. I'd gladly pay €5-10 for advance tickets if I could get a guaranteed time to get in when I arrive. Once in there was no real flow or direction of what to see or what order to see it in. The official map was about as much use as sand in a desert, honestly a 5 year old could have drawn a better plan. Inside large tour groups dominated all the various things to see and we were often barged out of the way or unable to pass them while they blocked doors or things to see. My impression of the place has been ruined by visiting it and then when coming out, they don't even have clear signage where to get public transport back or a covered bus stop. The urban planner / architect who designed the new entrance and coach part obviously never tried visiting as a tourist.

This is a very sad experience. But I do recommend everyone to visit once in a lifetime. I learnt about it in a history lesson, but seeing it for real was just something else. The scale of it is just mad. There was 2 camps, second camp had more than 300 buildings. They were killing almost 5k people a day, in a gas chamber they fit 700 people at a time 😮 Its just crazy to see all the shoes of people who died there. And crazy to see the gas chamber. We all need to see the scale of it and learn from it so the history wont repeat itself... In the second camp, last building we entered was the barrack of ill women, it was called the death barrack, all of them were ill or unable to work, they were getting no food or water and if the barrack was full they were made to stay outside in a yard and wait to be taken to the gas chamber. Most of them died there in a barrack. It's so cruel. The free car park not in use. All car parks around is approx 30zloty. There is massive queue to get it, takes forever due to amount of people visiting. To get in need to go thru security like in the airport. Then there is audio tour. Our guide was not great, was hard to hear her as she didnt hold microphone properly. Was way too many people and very long backlog so we skipped quite few barracks. Once we got to second camp by bus our tour guide didnt wait for everyone so we got lost. Not very well organised tbh. After 1pm most days can visit camps without tour guides and it is free. This place would give chills to everyone.

Powerful to say the least! This was part of my bucket list of places to visit and WOW it did not disappoint. Moving does not do this place justice, understanding what the Jews, gypsies and other minorities went through during the Second World War, you can watch as many documentaries as you like but actually walking in their footsteps really does bring it home…..Unforgettable

One of the must see place if you are nearby. A piece of the most terrible european history, which shouldn't be forgotten. Very impressive. Get your ticket in advance on the web, as you can get guider in your language.

Incredible castle ruins on top of a hill, with panoramic views of the surrounding forests! I came here for the Percival concert (Witcher) and it was an amazing medieval ambience.

Amazing medieval castle with lots of history and additional attractions. Great place to visit for families with children. Plenty of places to eat and park. Highly recommended.

Real gem. The castle is extraordinary and really recommend to visit. If you want to go inside - be advised - it has steep stairs and one steep ladder to one of the towers. Also, nice walk around outside the castle.

The 16th century fortress in Jura region. On the holiday during summer season, the medieval knights show is held. That was good for kids.

When you first set sight on the castle, you'll immediately be impressed. You'll want to keep looking at it because it's just that beautiful. Then your attention is rerouted by the endless amount of people in yellow vests trying to get you to park in their parking lots. Some even wave glowsticks around. I can't blame the locals for wanting to earn a quick buck off tourists, but it was certainly a bit strange. Some of them even opened up their backyards for parking. We eventually entered a parking lot where we had to pay 5 EUR or 20 PLN, but I can imagine that the price varies per lot. We got out and headed towards the castle, but along the route there was a guy in an ice cream van saying something to us. Now, I don't speak Polish, but my limited knowledge of Czech has allowed me to understand a decent amount of what people are saying. This time, however, he said something that in Czech would translate to pigs, so I can imagine his confusion when I pulled a very confused face after his little sales talk. Anyways, we went further along the path before we were bombarded with stalls on either side of the road. Again, I can't blame locals for trying to earn some money, but I do have to wonder why 1 medieval castle should need around 5 ice cream vans, several stalls selling the same plushies and toys and multiple stalls selling food and drinks. One of them even sold toy machine guns, which is quite odd when you're visiting a medieval castle, where the best gun you were gonna get would only fire a single shot and most likely miss the target, if not blow up into your face. Anyways, we finally got to the ticket office, where there was a small queue but nothing too bad. We went up into the castle area and this was absolutely beautiful. The castle itself had a few shops, but the main event was ofcourse the castle itself. The route was clearly indicated, and took you along almost every inch of the castle. The stairs up to the tower were a bit crowded, but nothing you can really do about that. There were a few little rooms that showcased stuff, including a room dedicated to the Witcher with a very nice replica of his silver sword, if I'm correct in that. In another room there was a canon from the 1700's, which seemed to me to be able to still fire, but I wouldn't recommend firing such an old weapon, lest it blow up in your face. The castle itself is located on a rocky area, which the castle accentuates brilliantly. Even though the castle isn't that large, it seems like it is due to the terrain. Some parts of the castle were lost unfortunately, I would have liked to see a restored version of this castle, I reckon it would have been beautiful if done right. Right now, you can see they "restored" certain small areas with bricks, which I don't think is very historically accurate but I could be wrong in that. A lot of the stairs in the castle have been replaced with concrete or metal ones, which is fair seeing the horrible state of the one staircase they kept in place. When leaving the main castle, the larger area still surrounded by walls is also something you should look at. It features a beautiful rock formation and an old torture chamber. I would take the things on display there with a grain of salt though, seeing there's an iron maiden in this room which they tried to pass off as historically accurate, even though it was only invented in the victorian age, much later than the medieval era. Still, I'm no expert in medieval torture methods so maybe the rest all checks out. When we eventually left the castle, the queue for tickets was way longer. It seemed we had evaded the busy hours, fortunately. Also, before I forget, dogs are allowed to enter the castle, so bring them along if you want. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend you to visit this wonderful place, but it definitely gets one fewer star because of the exceptionally touristy area centered around it.

Amazing theme park chock full of incredible roller coasters, Zadra being immense - ride it in the dark which elevates it to an entirely new level. Great value for money , ample car parking, tge park was fresh and clean. A great experience

I visited Energylandia because I was curious about the largest amusement park located near Slovakia. And I must say that I was satisfied. And that was right from the moment I parked my car, which I parked in a huge parking lot located right next to the amusement park. I must note that even though the ticket price is not the lowest, parking is paid separately (7 €/day). The amusement park premises are beautiful, decorated, pleasant movie music plays everywhere and you feel like you are in a fairy tale. There are many shops, restaurants and vending machines. Given that Energylandia has chosen a policy in the style of "buy a full-day ticket and all attractions are included in the price", it is logical that there are queues for each attraction - from 10 to 60 minutes (depending on what day / period you visit Energylandia). One ride lasts about 30 to 90 seconds. However, many of them are worth waiting for, as they offer maximum experience and adrenaline (e.g. speed of 144 km/h or overload up to 4G). You can watch the waiting time on several screens in the park or you can download their mobile application. A practical service is renting boxes to put things away (because you can't wear a cap/glasses/bag, etc. while riding). All you need to do is buy a bracelet (approx. €4), using which you can then always open one box at each attraction. Energylandia really offers an experience for people who like speed and adrenaline. They just have to wait for it :) I definitely recommend it.

The biggest amusement park in Poland! Lots of different rollercoasters, including extremely scary and more simple of kids and family. It's worth to spend there the whole day, they have everything you need. Very convenient system of storage boxes, you buy once for 17zl and can reuse it near every rollercoaster endless time. Also train station is very close, you can get by train from Krakow glowny within 1 hour for 12 zl, train goes every hour.

Amazing roller coaster ride! 🎢 The thrill, speed, and twists were incredible — pure adrenaline from start to finish. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time! Definitely an unforgettable experience!

Without a doubt the best theme park I’ve ever been too, had a lot of fun! Rides are amazing. Something does need to be done about line cutters, did have a bunch of kids jump in line on Mayan by jumping over the wall. Overall an incredibly pleasant experience, everything’s is reasonably well priced and affordable.

This park is awesome! I love their locker system here, it’s very convenient and easy to use. They have lockers almost at every single ride so you can put your backpack or bag in there hassle free! The rollercoasters here are amazing. This park is better than the Six Flags parks I’ve been to. I recommend :)

The amusement park is really big. Next time we will definitely buy the multiple day ticket. We went on Saturday so it was packed. We chose a day that was super hot, but they had stations with water sprayers so that was nice. Waiting time were quite long which we expected as we went on a weekend. Other than that it was great! Even the water park for the kids! Highly recommend to check out this park!

Very cool experience. The castle is beautiful and it's neat to be able to walk through it all. Three options of tickets to choose from. A/B/Combo. We took option A - 9 euros per adult. Parking near the castle - 8 euros Cons: With the amount of people they let into the castle and all the stairs going up and down they need better traffic control to manage the flow.

I was pleasantly surprised by this castle visit and all there was to see and explore inside. There are several ticket options, and we went for the main tour for 9 Euros. This gave us access to the majority of the exhibits and we spent about an hour exploring. There was so much to see! Highly recommend.

This location is truly remarkable. The castle and the road leading to it evoke a sense of stepping back into the 17th century, as everything has been wonderfully preserved. They offer three tour options. With children, we were unable to complete the castle tour. However, there is also the option to visit the church alone or as part of a combined tour. Although they refer to it as a tour, it is conducted without a guide.

A very interesting castle, located high on a rock, which began to be built in the 13th century and continued to be built until the 17th century. Very beautifully and safely restored. You can see many different exhibitions there. Tickets are divided into Tour A and Tour B. It is better to take Tour A+B, it cost 13 euros, but it is worthy of your attention. Many fairy tales and movies were filmed in this castle, Wikipedia will help you to discover these movies. Convenient parking nearby, day parking costs 8 euros. Many souvenir shops and restaurants with very tasty food at quite reasonable prices. I definitely recommend a visit
