Great place to visit with the kids. Lots of curious and recognisable creatures on display. Knowledgeable museum staff available to help, show off specimens and there was even a craft activity when we visited. With cabinets that open, animals to touch, drawing equipment available for sketching and trails to follow there's something for everyone of all ages.

An impromptu visit for a rainy day! We did not queue for long but was recommended by staff to book in future - the footfall was very busy so I understand why. An interesting museum with plenty to see. Clearly appealing for children but also very enjoyable for adults too. A small gift shop with a lovely offering. Will certainly return.

Set over three floors, this place is packed with animals and birds from all round the world. Very well presented and helpful staff. Allow several hours to have a good look. There is a good cafe and plenty of seating. A small kids play area is located in the grounds.

The Natural History Museum at Tring, once the private collection of the eccentric Walter Rothschild, is now home to one of the UK’s most extensive displays of taxidermied animals - over 4,900 specimens, including rare and extinct species. Walking through the galleries was a strange mix of awe and sadness. On one hand, it was fascinating to see creatures I’ll never encounter in the wild. But at the same time, seeing so many stuffed animals, especially knowing the context of mass collecting in that era, made me pause. It stirred questions about how we preserve nature, what we’ve lost, and what it means to display these lives frozen in time. The museum itself is full of curiosities - hybrids, animals with unusual colouration, and six themed galleries to explore. It’s popular with families, which means it can be a bit chaotic if you’re hoping for quiet reflection or photos. Still, entry is free, and despite the emotional complexity of the visit, I left feeling grateful for the chance to witness such a unique collection. It definitely gave me a lot to think about.

Amazing place, seeing the exhibits up close was awesome! You can really appreciate the sheer size of some of the animals, even the various tusks were incredible. The variety of species in the collection is stunning. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Museum was clean and tidy. All floors were Accessible by stairs and a lift. Parking was free as is entry to the museum, donations are appreciated. Whilst there take a walk to Tring Park, various walks are marked.

Amazing museum run by helpful staff with cafe and toilets. Car parking available nearby. Definitely recommend visiting, tickets available online and donations can be given online or in the museum. Nice to get very close to the exhibits and learn about the history. Wasn't too busy on the weekend.

Don't take kids, take an adult who isnt going to moan and not appreciate this place! I might just be annoyed that after the hour in this spectacular museum my kids wouldn't go for a walk in the wonderful Tring park nextdoor.. Great place - some of the aquatic exhibits look like plastic or Papier mache - but they are likely 100+ years old. The animals are uncanny and the dogs are really creepy. There are also bugs and butterflies and scarabs - it's brilliant - go! And the cafe has good cake - they also have a picnic area so being a sandwixh to save money if things are tight.

I would suggest that you go to Bletchley Park, which is immediately adjacent, sharing a parking lot, before you come here. This is gonna provide a lot of amplification and it’s all going to make a lot more sense if you’ve got the historical back drop of Bletchley Park first. I think Bletchley Park is gonna be more interesting to the historian or the person that tracks a little bit more on the human side. This museum is going to be more interesting to the engineer or IT person that likes to get a little bit more into the weeds of how you break a code and how do you develop a computer for the first time? I enjoyed both of them quite a bit and I think they fit together really well. You could do them both on the same day, but it would be pretty mentally taxing! Take a break in the middle. I think if your budget one and a half to 2 1/2 hours that should be enough for most people to get through the exhibits and watch some demonstrations This is an example we’re watching. The demonstrations actually is pretty much the reason why you’re gonna wanna come. Otherwise you just walk into a room you see an old machine from the 1940s you can look at it for me and say wow that looks complicated. And that’s about all that you get out of it. However, at least on the day I was there, they have a volunteer in multiple rooms that will spend about a half an hour, explaining the problem, walking through the solution, and the story of the person that worked on it, why this machine was a solution of the problem. And then they show you how the machine did it. The machines have been restored and they work! It’s absolutely amazing. Watching these stories come to life when they show you the demonstrations.

I went as a free carer/ companion. Although it wasn't really my thing, it was interesting. The volunteers have an incredible wealth of knowledge and were only too happy to share it when questions arose. Each of them filled with facts and enthusiasm made it very enjoyable. We had a laugh on the pinball and Crazy taxi arcade game and tried some of the early game systems. Highlights for me were the collection of old Nokia phones, the 70's style BT telephone and Trimphone each purring when the receivers were lifted (I miss that) and the early computers with card input. I remember my Pops bringing lots of the discarded cards home after he had been inputting the data onto new computers with disc memory. It was cool seeing what he would have had to do. Those big 'machines' looked familiar from visits to his offices at Massey Feguson CPO. Toilets were gleaming and there was a small coffee shop. Everyone that works in the museum has great pride in what they do and it shows.

For anyone with the slightest interest in the history of computers, this is a must. The range of machines and software ranging from WW2 to more current times is amazing. And many of them still work, including the world’s oldest, originally used at Harwell. The volunteer staff are friendly and very knowledgeable and, as a bonus, a small café provides welcome refreshment.

Fantastic museum to visit if you are interested in learning how old computers work. It’s very interactive and the staff is there to explain you how it works. Some of the computers are working and you have the chance for some hands on experience. Super informative team, we got to decode a message on their Enigma machine! Definitely recommend, we spent 3h30 there and only left because it was closing.

Great rooms/presentations on the code breaking of enigma with the bombes, and Colossus. Good demos, lots of interactive exhibits but also lots to read. Trip down memory lane for those people so inclined 😁 relatively quiet mid week out of school holidays... friendly staff and facilities very clean and modern.

We visited Bletchley Park today and had an absolutely fantastic day exploring this incredible piece of history. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first class. We were greeted at the entrance barrier by Jake, who gave us a lovely warm welcome — full of good humour and friendly banter — the perfect start to the day. Inside, every member of staff and volunteer we met was just as friendly and engaging. Their enthusiasm for the site and its history really brought the stories of The Codebreakers to life. A particular highlight for me was the Radio Team, who were exceptional. They not only explained the radio technologies and the process behind them in fascinating detail but even offered me a chance to have a go myself! Their knowledge and passion were infectious and added so much to the visit. We took our time exploring the Mansion, the huts, and the surrounding grounds — everything was beautifully presented and full of atmosphere. The attention to historical authenticity and the care taken in preserving the story of Bletchley’s wartime legacy was evident everywhere. The Gift Shop was excellent too, well-stocked with books, souvenirs, and thoughtful keepsakes. I was thrilled to find a book I’d owned as a child (a long time ago now!) — something I never expected to see again. All in all, it was a day filled with learning, nostalgia, and wonderful interactions with passionate people. A truly memorable visit, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five stars without hesitation.

Excellent museum to visit, very good & humorous tour guide - Robert - entertained and informed us for an hour in the heat of the afternoon - really brought the place to life. I paid the night before & the ticket allows unlimited further visits for 12 months. Loved the sound effects in the outside areas. Great ice cream 🍦 kiosk. A smartly presented and well thought out museum, recommended.

An amazing place and well worth a visit. The guides are all volunteers who give their time and expertise completely free of charge. In my opinion this makes them even more valuable to the whole experience and definitely worth listening to if you can get on one of their guided tours. Your entry ticket will allow you to return as many times as you like with a year of your first visit, completely free of charge, and you’ll need it as there so much to see and learn.

This is an amazing Living Musuem of history. The splendid work both highly intellectual people accomplished, together with every day men and women during WW2 is shown here. Without this secret team WW2 may not have ended when it did and with the British victorious. There is so much so see we needed 3 day visits. When you purchase your ticket you get a year to return and Thank Goodness for that.

After having heard so much about this place we finally made the long journey to visit. There was a barrier at the entrance, reminding one of the fact that this was once a secret military establishment. There is much to see over several buildings. We joined a guided walk which was useful with much information about this history of the site. The main museum is where the story of the code breakers is told and there is much to see and read related to this significant work done during the Second World War. It is significant to see how most of the work was done by women.

Interesting visit to learn more about the WW2 Codebreakers and see the technology they used. Informative and entertaining video presentations. Friendly staff and good interactive displays. Quite expensive at £28 pp (we won't be going back in the next year even though the ticket says you can) and disappointed that the museum of computing was another £10 each next door. The website says the cafes have gluten free options but they didn't have any gf cakes or sandwiches, only a main meal.

An amazing time in our countrys' history, remarkable work carried out by extraordinary people. We learnt a great deal more about the events that occurred there than we previously knew. Definitely worth visiting, as your entry tickets are valid for 12 months multiple visits.

It's a great place for the walkers, two, and four-legged. There are plenty of woodland trails to take, with a great trail for wheelchair users. There is a lovely cafe/ restaurant there with plenty of seating, outside and in. A delicious ploughman's for around £11, good value. The car park is free, but the trust asks for a small donation of £2, but it's voluntary. I went on a Thursday, and it seemed very popular.

We love Ashridge. Lovely way marked paths that include some suitable (if you are strong & have a robust wheelchair) for wheelchairs. A good amount of parking - don’t forget the £2 voluntary contribution. Good shop and cafe and there are often some activities for children. It is wonderful walking among the trees. Keep your eyes peeled and you way we’ll see deer.

We love ashridge. Lots of accessible walks, natural play spaces, gift shop and a nice cafe. Free to park which a big bonus, although we are NT members anyway. Amazing colours in autumn and always lovely for a walk, whatever the season.

Fantastic place for walking your dog in the forest or just walk around with children. It has four different main routes but you can just get lost wherever you want. There is a nice cafe with a seating area, a shop and toilet facilities by the main car park.

Great place for a walk. Plenty of parking (free if national trust member otherwise a donation box) Has toilets, cafe, shop and some boards with different walks. We did the foresters walk which said 3 miles in 2 hours. We weren't walking quickly and got back in much less than 2 hours. Pleasant walk through the woods. Also went up the monument for some great views (much higher than it looks from the bottom!) Definitely recommend visiting here.

I was a National Trust member for quite some time, and used to visit Dockey Wood to enjoy the bluebells every year, up until four years ago when the bluebell woods was overrun with brambles. Even though after numerous complaints about how it was neglected they started putting up signs. They started leaving lots of branches for barriers in a claim to stop people from treading over the bluebells. It looked a mess. They left signs saying how they wanted to protect the bluebells, and then it was for forestry reasons why they left the brambles there. They claimed they didn’t have to do anything as it was originally a commercial forest but for the benefit of the public they were going to charge them for the benefit of looking at brambles and dead branches. There is a slightly lesser known larger bluebell area the opposite the road to Docky wood. It was perfectly shaded. It wasn’t open, and no major deforestation had ever taken place in that area for some time, and the bluebells flourished. However, last year they put barriers up in the car park by Docky Wood, and I noticed a lot of tree trunks and forestry notices going up. Today I’ve walked to the secret bluebell area which is now covered in tree debris. A whole area of forest has disappeared leaving the area wide open. All of the tree debris is all over the emerging bluebells, including lots of trees that have been felled to get the large machinery right through the centre of the Bluebells. There were originally small paths through the bluebells, which they then blocked with signs saying don’t come up this path badgers beware. But obviously when it suits them most there is now great big 2 track tree felling machine tracks straight through those little paths. The single paths are now large double track mud holes, which have trampled over the bluebells, and have effectively devastated an absolutely gorgeous bluebell wood. It’s quite clear that the tree felling has got nothing to do with the protecting the bluebells but all to do with the financial gain they’re going to get from the high price of wood. They could have put the tree debris anywhere else in their 500 ha area of forest and yet they chose to dump all of the trees and debris and cut down lovely well established trees and dump it on all of the bluebells. Great job, Ashridge estate.

A fantastic place for a peaceful walk in nature! I recently explored this National Trust site, and the trails winding through the wooded areas were absolutely beautiful. It's a lovely spot to clear your head, with plenty of benches along the way to sit down, rest, and take in the views. The cafe and gift shop are great stops if you fancy a quick break or a small souvenir, and there are some nice pubs within walking distance if you want to extend your walk. Overall, it's a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a refreshing and scenic walk. Highly recommend!

Another good session here. Our 13 year old boys have done the 1 day course reaching level 4 back in April, now they are doing level 5 and 6 in the 2 hour lesson. Super instructors and good facilities. A great way to prepare for a ski trip.

Staff here are so friendly, passionate and supportive! Did snowboarding for the first time the other day with Marian who was so so friendly, patient, amazing and kind. Also had skiing lessons previously with Charlotte who was extremely kind, helpful and patient. I also met Claire - the manager who went above and beyond for me and was also really helpful. Thank you to each of you, you really are special people. Hope we meet again :)

First day of my sons ski course. The parking was easy and aprox 100m from the Snozone desk, all flat and accessible if needed. The staff were efficient in organising his boots, putting him in his team and supporting him over the next hour or so. No complaints from either of us. I only gave 4 stars as the available cafe for me to spend my time waiting could have provided more options for breakfast, like a bacon butties. I did have a nice hot chocolate though.

Visited Snozone for a Snowboarding beginners day course. Had a fantastic time. Jago was super friendly and helpful in teaching technique and providing advice. Lunch was included in the price and we were offered a choice of pizzas, jacket potatoes and a few other options. Course lasted around 7.5hrs from 1015 to 1745. Group size was five, which worked well and Jago did a great job of supporting individuals with varying degrees of experience. Great fun, had a few hard falls, but perseverance is key! I will be back.

I’ve visited Snozone several times over the past six months. I started with a 1-1 session, followed by a Level 2/3, then a Level 3/4 session, and was due to have my Level 4/5 lesson next week. By the end of my Level 3/4 session, my instructor had ticked off all sections of Level 4 except the final box, mentioning that “with 10 more minutes, you’d have completed the level.” That would have allowed me to progress straight to Level 5/6. However, this week I received an email stating that Snozone no longer offers combined-level sessions and that my upcoming lesson would only cover Level 4. I called to explain my situation and asked whether I could move directly into Level 5, given my progress in the previous session. Unfortunately, I was offered very few options—almost none—and it felt as though the issue was being treated as my responsibility. I even suggested arriving early to complete Level 4 before moving on to Level 5 on the same day, as I was simply trying to continue the training I had already paid for. The staff member I spoke with wasn’t very helpful, and I eventually had to ask for a refund myself, which I would have expected them to suggest.. I later called back to ask about booking a full 7-hour Level 4/5/6 day instead. Thankfully, the second staff member I spoke to was much more professional and understanding. Although the available dates didn’t work for me, she processed my refund promptly. I’m really disappointed, as I had thoroughly enjoyed every session up to this point and was genuinely looking forward to continuing.

Amazing beginners snowboard course last Friday. Tony (and Dave) did an amazing job of making us feel comfortable and helping us to progress throughout the day. From never standing on a board to completing some relatively good turns in a few hours. The facility is great, easy to get to, cheap to park at, everything you need under one roof. The best bit was the instructors. Tony really put 100% into the job and was awesome. Had loads of fun and learnt so much. He was helped by Dave who was great too. It's a hard day, and physically demanding but so worth it

We went to see death on the Nile and it was a cosy theatre. Good seating arrangement, very good and affordable pricing for seats and drinks- I liked the architecture and that it had good accessibility as well as toilets were clean and well maintained . Extra gold stars for the tampons.

Had an amazing experience at MK Theatre yesterday (16/11) and staff were all friendly and helpful ain't been here in 5 years toilets are clean. Prices for food and drink was expensive and brought 2 drinks and a tub of crisps and ice cream. I sat in Upper Circle and the view was brilliant I watched Now that's what I call a musical and I gotta say it was fantastic lots of laughs too the singing,dancing and acting was spot on and was a 80s themed. I recently attended a matinee performance of Kinky Boots at Milton Keynes Theatre, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The theatre itself is modern, well-maintained, and provides a great atmosphere for live performances. The seating was comfortable with a good view of the stage, and the acoustics were excellent, allowing every word and song to be heard clearly. The staff were friendly and efficient, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The facilities were also impressive—clean and spacious restrooms, a well-stocked bar with reasonable prices, and a foyer area that was bright and welcoming. As for the show, Kinky Boots was absolutely spectacular! The cast delivered outstanding performances, the choreography was energetic, and the music was uplifting. The production was full of heart, humor, and brilliant storytelling, making it a truly unforgettable experience. Overall, Milton Keynes Theatre is a great venue for theatre lovers. Whether you’re seeing a musical, play, or comedy show, it offers a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely be returning for future performances!

We have visited the Milton Keynes Theatre several times and have always been so happy with the theatre as a whole. It always appeared clean and well manned, stocked with plenty of drinks and snacks, and staff have always been happy and helpful. Seats are spacious and have plenty of legroom, wherever we have sat. The shows we have watched have included Derren Brown: Showman & Only Human, Lord of the Dance and a few pantomimes. Could do with a few more toilets as queues before, during an interval and after have been especially long. Snacks are also a little overpriced but that seems to be the theme in theatres! Would highly recommend this theatre and will be visiting again very soon.

A really lovely theatre, we went to see Calamity Jane which was brilliant! Parking is close by with lots of food and drink options near for before and after the show. The theatre its self is lovely, easy access, there was no cramming or huge queues to get in. We sat row CC on the ground floor in the middle of the row, a perfect view, I feel any closer to the stage could be too close! Only thing to bear in mind is they don’t let you take your own food (which is perfectly fine) we had forgotten to eat our sausage rolls before going in! The staff were super friendly we just had to eat them before going in :) Bottles of water and sweets were allowed.

We really enjoyed the show tonight. I wanted to leave a review today because of the exceptional service from the lovely lady on the upper tier. I stupidly ordered drinks to the wrong seats before the show. Wrote it off as a mistake but she went and found them in the interval and brought them to us. Great service ♥️

Finding the theatre wasn't too bad, parking wise: arrive at least an hour early to avoid multi storey queues, alternative is on street, which costs almost £9 for 4 hours. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, theatre has numerous bars, as well as snacks. We went to see Kinky Boots specifically to see JJ (Strictly star), but the theatre didn't indicate in any way that the Understudy was in the Lead Role, which was extremely disappointing!! When we booked tickets, we chose a matinee when JJ should have been performing, the theatre management stated that he was doing alternate afternoons, which was different to the Kinky Boots official information. So when you're coughing up over £70 per ticket, it's not a great look.....! Having said all that, Kinky Boots is a great show, with a strong dynamic cast, just that the big attraction (Johannes) was missing. The Understudy was good, but not the same. When leaving Milton Keynes, unless you know the route (or use satnav), it's easy to get lost as road signs are non existent and endless roundabouts make you dizzy 🤔

Mixed reviews for me.. Most of the staff are friendly but some look like they really don't want to be there.. The rides are "good" for kids. My son is 6 and I would say it's ideal for his age group. If I was to return in the future, I would take my own food as the quality of what was available was poor for the price. This theme park needs a overhaul and updated. Most of the rides, the food hall etc is looking all a bit old now. If they are making a good profit then, they need to spend money on updating the park, looks all a bit 90's and been left to rot. Food hall and seating area was a little smelly, no decent lighting, sticky floors and not enough staff cleaning in-between each family using tables. Above all this, I would return more prepared.

These is an amazing small theme park but really good no queue on all the rides. The staff are really friendly and loved their job. My only complained is the restaurant closed at 2:00 pm.There is a pizza place in the front that is really amazing. But over all very happy with the experience rides are not that extreme. The kids loved the zipwire experience and also the cable car. Would definitely come back soon.

Had a really nice time there. A lovely little park in the heart of MK. Rides are fun and designed for little ones in mind. We went around the river ride more than once! Log flume was great too. Main restaurant was fairly priced for a meal deal and clean. Lighting was atmospheric with fairy lights which was cute. Staff were friendly and we had Bluey there on our visit. The only downside we saw was it needed a bit of TLC to the bathrooms and play centre. The rest of the park was lovely but these both need a bit of money putting towards it to make it a better experience. Fair price for what you get. Would come back again!

Lovely small theme park great for kids i would say upto the age of 10. Loads of rides with no ride closures which makes a change going to a theme park ! Kids will have anything abundance of fun here... parking on 1st glance looked tricky but actually more than enough room and not miles to walk to entrance... food was the same old theme park food but very reasonable

Overall it's ok for it's size and price (if you get discounted tickets). Has one or two cracking rides for older kids and adults. Plenty of fun rides for smaller kids. Some areas are looking a little worn sadly and areas like toilets could use better upkeep. On the plus side you rarely queue longer than 10mins. If you see a deal for discounted entry it's well worth a family day out.

HEADLINE Such a shame, as it probably was an amazing park, but its been let down, loads of things not working (pretty much the whole of the JCB world didnt work 😞) the crains didnt work, some of the diggers didnt work properly, there was a ride closed. The food was very Exspensive, but thats like most theme parks I would say. They had some odd rules like no age limit. As long as the child was sitting in the seat, we had a 3 month old whitch would of been safer to put her in our arms but we had to sit her in a seat and put our arms around her, did look funny. The park was a nice size, and there was enough to do for all ages that we have 3m , 2YO, 14YO and 15YO We had a nice family day, just a shame a lot wasn't working properly, i feel this will be letting the park down in the long run and they need to invest. Still made a good day of it despite these problems with the park. Its just a word of warning. They need to invest if they want people to return. We wont be returning sadly.

Had a great day out with my grandson (5) and great niece (4). We visited on a Saturday and arrived about 10mins before entry time, we went through to see the staff and mascots doing a little routine and declaring the park open. We used advanced tickets and just produced the barcodes on my phone to the staff at the entrance. The weather wasn't that great, which seemed to keep the crowds away, meaning we were fortunate to not queue for anything other than the log flume (which was still only about 5mins). There was loads to do as well as the rides and we didn't leave till closing. Food was typically priced for a theme park. Burger, chips and drink style meal was about £10. Gift shop was cute and although again typically priced, they had a good selection of little pocket money priced items. There are plenty of amenities and toilets all over the park.

I had a wonderful day at Whipsnade zoo today. Highlights of the day were the brown bear, elephants, rhino’s, giraffes and the birds of the world show. Didn’t see the lynx which was a shame. Didn’t see a lion only a lioness and some cubs. 1 star lost because the tigers enclosure seemed really small and the tiger looked sad pacing around the enclosure. I also felt sad for the chimpanzee who seemed like it was having fun and was very entertaining but again enclosure felt small. Park could also do with more signage to help navigate the way around as although map on the app is good would still be good to have more signage as the grounds are huge and easy to take a wrong path. I also went on the steam train which was £5 for adults but I wouldn’t go on it again. Very big ground with loads of viewpoints and lots of walking however lots of places to sit along the way and plenty of small shops providing snacks and some provide food like hotdogs at £8.50 a pop. I much prefer this zoo to London zoo, I feel like you have better sight of the animals in comparison. One other perk about this zoo is that you can drive around the grounds with an additional fee. There is also free parking with easy access to the zoo. There is also an app with a live moving map which helps you navigate around the park very good.

We had a wonderful day out with the family. It’s a large venue, so comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Families with young children may find a buggy useful, as there’s plenty of ground to cover. Visitors can bring their own packed lunch or enjoy the selection of cafés and restaurants available throughout the site and near the entrance.

First time visiting, absolutely loved it, an amazing day. The enclosures were lovely and spacious, all areas lovely and clean, staff we spoke to were so helpful. We had afternoon tea at view point, which was lovely and the staff really friendly. The day was just brilliant, would highly recommend a visit.

Had a fantastic time visiting whipsnade zoo .. travelled all the way from North Wales.. Easy to find and access ♿ parking was just great for my wife. So much to see and do here for the whole family.. Loved seeing how much open area the animals had to enjoy compared with other zoos.. The zoo covers quite an area.. and it can be explored many ways..foot. train..or by car... Yes if mobility is an issue like my wife it can still be easily explored.. We seen a bus going around..sign simply said..Hail bus driver to stop..jump on a train which was around £5 .. Otherwise drive the car around and stop and explore where you want.. plenty of parking on the side of the road... please drive safely!!.. There is part of the zoo where you can only explore by car or taking the train.. Feels like your on safari.. amazing time When we visited they were giving the flamingo's a health check.. you were invited to ask anything you wanted.. Fantastic interactive experience Cafés , toilets and picnic areas are ample and dotted around the park.. Gift shop as like most places near the exit... Would love to visit again in the future as one visit is simply not enough to see and enjoy everything whipsnade has to offer...

Whipsnade Zoo is in a beautiful location of Dunstable Downs, there is a free car park off site and charge for car to enter, blue badges are free, you can drive around the whole park and there is parking spots at each area of the Zoo so you can view the animals at safe distance. It’s a favourite Zoo of mine due to care of the animals and the enclosures are well maintained. If you visit now you may find parts of the Zoo is being improved and some enclosures updated and cleaned, so some of the animals are relocated, the kangaroos are free roaming the zoo and can be approached but best respect nature. The only part of the experience that requires the most improvement is the toilets most are not regularly cleaned or look clean, the restaurants and food vendors do not offer quality food, the sandwiches were not that appetising and the hotdogs were served in baguette, I didn’t understand the combo nor did my palate. Not that they need a fast food chain there but better menu of food and quality would justify the insane prices like £2 for a bag of crisps. Overall I still recommend this as a great family day out but bring your own lunches and snacks.

THE BUS IS BRILLIANT! Whipsnade is an awesome zoo but the bus service elevates the experience even further! Lots of walking and make sure you dress warmly, but if you get tired legs then the bus is perfect. Can't fault it. Such a friendly driver (Gary) and they come round every 20 mins. Thank you so much

This zoo is possibly one of my favorite ones I have been to. The animals have so much space and the possibility to just hide away if that is what they want. We were there on a cloudy temperate day that made the animals more active so we got to see a lot of them. We saw the penguin talk and the bird show, both are very much recommended, but especially the bird show was super well done and very enriching. I have been about 5 times the last ten years and every time has been a great experience.

This is a fantastic place to visit the Abbey has so much to see you will need to spend some time trying to take it all in. The gardens are well worth making sure you get all areas in. Picnic areas and tables dotted about for use some with shade. Toilets at various points around the site.

The gardens and deer park are lovely. I have not visited the Abbey itself yet but if you want a place to get in a walk and wonderful gardens it is great. The maze is interesting and there are several different picturesque spots throughout the garden area. The pottery and café are lovely also.

The gardens are beautiful and well worth a look. It has public toilets and a lovely little gift shop. You can picnic anywhere in the gardens. If you are disabled your carer goes free and your ticket is reduced to nearly half. They have wheelchair hire and mobility scooters for hire which help greatly. I hope this is helpful ☺

A great place to visit. The house is full of historical wonders and the staff are all very knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens are glorious on a summer's day, and full of great photo opportunities. The tea house is a nice place to have lunch and reasonably priced.

Absolutely LOVED IT!!! amazing place for families, for couples for everyone I guess. Abbey is at centre of Deer park with couple of ponds which adds so much beautiful views all around. Unfortunately I cannot able to see the inside view of Abbey due to refurbishment take place and it will be back for public in 2021. You can have a very good walk in the park as well as the Woburn Old Town just meters away from this place. Also, when you drive into this park you fell like Richmond park in London. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic afternoon tea (delicious vegan and gf vegan options available) but you need to prebook your dietary requirement. On booking staff were exceptionally friendly and immediately understood vegan and GF vegan requirements. allow yourself extra time (c20mins) to get there on time as you need to check in at main gate and then drive the 2-3 miles to the house and garden entrance. tea rooms were lovely as was the impressive grounds and gardens. i happily would return with the kids for a picnic and maybe next time would take a look inside the Abbey (add on cost).

This is a beautiful place to visit, it hasn't changed much since i came here as a child. It has public toilets and a cafè and beautiful gardens to walk round. If you are disabled your carer gets in free and your ticket is reduced also. You can hire a wheelchair for free or a mobility scooter for £5 ! I loved it , such a calming place steeped in history ☺

A gem in Luton, deserving of every one of its 5 stars! I've visited both on weekdays and weekends, and each time it offers a truly fruitful and calm atmosphere. The beautiful gardens are a highlight, perfect for a peaceful stroll and enjoying nature's beauty. The coffee shop is a lovely spot to relax and refuel, and the old carriage exposition is fascinating – a real step back in time. It's a wonderful place to escape and enjoy some tranquillity. Highly recommend!

I haven't been here in a long time and it still delivers, the museum is good and took approximately an hour to get around. The garden was unexpectedly large it was like a laybrinth to get around, you couldn't go inside the greenhouses I assume this was because we went on the 26th September getting close to Autumn so I'm fine with that. There was a slight mishap with my hot chocolate where I got given one that tasted like coffee but this was adequately replaced.

Wonderful place with well kept grounds..a favourite when the kid's were young and now a place of tranquility to get away from the busy world outside.. excellent cafe too..

Lovely place to visit with a whole family, it's free, it's interesting, full of exciting exhibitions for fans of history, although a lot of places (especially greenhouses in the gardens) seemed unaccessible on our recent visit. There're a coffee shop, toilets, and playgrounds. The staff is kind, and the gift shop has a lot of lovely knicknacks. Fantastic place for a walk or picnic, but some parts of the gardens seem a little run down recently.

It's a brilliant location. Lots going on, amazing fast paced action on the dragstrip some phenomenal vehicles displayed. Great commentary helping make it inclusive even for the newbies to the action. Good secondary entertainment at the other arena sites. Lots of high octane action. The participants were very friendly and willing to share their passion for their hobby. We will be returning.

Went with a few mates and my son to santa pod. 1st time going here for us and it was a excellent day out. My son loved the bike show and cars. Highly recommend going if you are into cars and fancy a good day out with friends or family.

Spent a works day out here to watch a colleague run his car up the drag strip a few times. A good day out although surprised to see that a lot of the food stalls were closed, but it was a Friday. Plenty of car parking and overall a good vibe. The weather was good with only a few interruptions in racing due to the heavy rain. As soon as the rain stopped the racing got underway pretty quickly.

We had an awesome time at the Flame and Thunder event. It was so much more than I was expecting, an exciting array of wacky and insane cars on the strip. Loads of extra stuff going on around the strip, monster trucks, drifting, stunt performers. Lots of food vans to pick from. They did well to keep tightly to the schedule and keep things moving despite some patches of rain. Its a great event with loads to see, definitely check it out!

I’ve been going to Santa Pod since I was young, with Bug Jam being the highlight of my year. Back then, it was all about the old cars, the smell of the rubber, and the excitement in the air. Now, as a father of two, it’s taken on a whole new meaning — it’s something I get to share with my kids and my wife, and it’s just as magical as ever. The atmosphere is electric but still feels welcoming for families. There’s so much to see and do — from the incredible drag races that leave you in awe to the friendly car displays, live music, and fun fair rides. My kids’ faces light up every time a car roars down the strip, and my wife loves that there are plenty of places to relax, grab food, and enjoy the day. Santa Pod isn’t just about cars — it’s about community, shared memories, and that unique mix of adrenaline and family fun. For us, it’s more than a weekend away; it’s a tradition, and I can’t wait to keep bringing my children here as they grow up. If you’ve never been, whether you’re a petrolhead or just looking for an unforgettable family day, Santa Pod is a must.

USC weekend. Stayed in club camping section Thursday through to Sunday. Lots of things to watch and demonstrations on. Food vendors, stalls for clothing, parts. Music playing in the evenings on main stage, dance tent and silent disco. Been 3 times now and will definitely be back again.

Flame and Thunder was an absolute amazing family day out, we enjoyed ever second and the Santa pod staff were brilliant at keeping the show going despite the weather. Highly recommend a visit

Just back from an epic day at the Herring Green farm. My family and I had booked my husband an eagle experience which I would highly recommend. The falconer Erin was fantastical she took time to show us so many of the eagle and some eagle owls. My husband held and flew the massive beautiful birds and really enjoyed his experience. We had young children with us and there was lots to play on and keep them amused. All staff were very welcoming and friendly We went on a Sunday and it was very quiet which was perfect for us to look around.

Absolutely fantastic day out. Got the deal through virgin experiences and had an amazing day. The lady Lisa was so informative and clearly had a huge love for all the birds. Going to book to go back

On the positive side -The woman that did the display was fantastic. She really knew her stuff, she answered everyone’s questions and was entertaining. - Lots of amazing beautiful birds when we walked around in cages and used in the display. - They released lot of birds at a time to music which was really good to see so many flying at the same time. On the negative side - The receptionist was rude to all 4 of us when we arrived. She was clearly annoyed she had given us 4 stickers before our 2 other friends had arrived, like we’d deceived her for some reason ! She also denied telling us to wait in the field as the display had started elsewhere. We all very negative about the place before we’d even started. - The display group was far too big. We were in a group of 28 people so when the birds were being passed around we waited for ages before we could hold the birds. Also taking part in the displays took ages to include everyone. So became very boring which was a shame because the display was good otherwise. Overall, good quality but needs to be smaller groups 1/2 the time, and better reception.

Absolutely love this place. We've been here a few times now and every time I come away with some new nugget of information I never knew about the wonderful birds they have there. All the staff clearly love what they do, and what they do is so important not just for the birds but for educating the people that visit.

I booked the 3 hour falconry experience for my dad, partner and child. They said it was absolutely brilliant and completely exceeded expectations. We were worried that 3 hours was too long and that the rain would ruin the morning, but they said it was jam packed, the group was lead by Laura who was great, there were sooo many amazing birds that each member of the group got an opportunity to hold, they watched a great display and learned a lot. The rain didn't put them off at all and everyone left very happy. On a different note, my partner said the coffee in the coffee shop was the worst he had ever tasted in his life! I did have a look and opted to go into Bedford instead to have a coffee and wait for them to finish. I guess the facilities could be better but that's not what they were there for.

The centre has a wide range of birds of prey and a good flying exhibition. Small people can also hold an owl, which is quite special. The rest of the facilities are looking rather tired - for example there were lots of nettles growing round the kids activity area. It’s not too expensive so, on balance, a good half day out for the family.

I had a 2 hour bird of prey experience and the guy in charge “Riley” was an absolute professional as well as having a sense of humour. Riley was very health and safety conscious and explained everything so we understood the birds and there behaviour whilst holding them. Riley was very knowledgeable and explained everything about each bird in a calm and controlled manner,I could easily relate and understand him completely. Each bird I held was an amazing experience from Owls all the way upto a Bald Eagle with Riley by my side watching and reassuring me every step of the way. As a member of the RSPB I could identify most of the birds but Riley’s knowledge was supreme. Riley is a massive asset to the Farm and his customer service was the best I’ve ever seen a true professional at all times. Thankyou so much for the experience of a life time 10/10 I highly recommend this bird of prey experience to anyone.i hope you remember me the big tall guy who needed a bigger glove,Thankyou again.

Honestly one of the best days out I've ever had with my daughter. Gorgeous, well maintained paths everywhere. Bird hides to watch over the lakes (while she napped). A big, airy cafe with delicious coffee. Lovely museum with staff who clearly adore what they do! We had so much fun talking to the people who were making a dugout canoe with bronze age tools, and exploring the garden, especially after seeing the spinning and weaving and learning about the plants that make the dyes. My daughter adored playing in the adventure play, of course. There's running water and sand, cute little play beach huts, a mural, slides, more than enough to entertain a toddler for hours! It was really lovely and plenty of seating and shade all around. We will definitely be back with my husband for another full day and hopefully add in some cycling 😊😊 Overall, really cannot say enough about how great the site was but even more so how wonderful every staff and volunteer was everywhere we went during our visit. The kindness, patience, and passion was just beyond what you could ask and we really appreciate it!

Absolutely lovely day out with all of my family which included 19 13 13 10 & 10 year old. There was so much to do and see around the whole of the lakes. My kids especially loved the assault course as did my partner (a little to much if you ask me) 😅. The only thing that I found was missing was bins on the walk ways I understand its for safety reasons but the amount of plastic bottles that were just dropped on the floor was awful. My kids did pick up the bottles they could whilst walking round but had to keep hold of them until the bin at the playground area. Other than that we had a fantastic time. Finished of with a lovely picnic near the playground for my youngest 2.

Love visiting here! Went to a netwalking event held in their conference room with walk around small lake. Facilities were clean and food was delicious (bacon sandwich). Great provision for tea, coffee and selection of cold drinks for the event. Staff were friendly and helpful. Outside facilities are the best part, beautiful nature and well kept paths. Usually you need to pay for car park but as we were at an event, parking was free.

I recently spent a few hours at Stanwick Lakes Country Park (Northamptonshire) and had a thoroughly relaxed and memorable time. The setting is beautiful — wide open spaces, shimmering lakes, and plenty of winding paths through nature. Whether you’re walking seriously or just pottering, the place has a lovely peaceful pace. There’s also an impressive adventure playground (and zip-line/assault-course type features) that means if you’re with kids you’ll very likely hear squeals of delight from the central hub of the park. On the nature side, it’s just as good. The bird-hides, wetland spaces and trails provide a chance to slow down, sit on a bench and watch things happen quietly around you. It’s not just manic play and activity—there are corners of genuine calm and reflection. Like all UK parks do go prepared if it’s been raining: as paths can be muddy and may be dry foot wear

What a great place! So much for the kids to do and see. The water feature is great, the climbing frame is well kept and very safe. The toilets are always kept clean and there is a great choice for food and drinks. Actually they have really nice coffee which is rare. Would be good with a few more benches as there is only a few compared to how many visitors they get but bring a picnic blanket and you'll be fine

A very lovely Nature Reserve. Trails are great for riding on, there's lots to see and do. Very pretty area to visit. And the play areas for kids are fantastic too!

Spent a couple of hours here with my daughter this morning. After building a Minecraft money box, ice scream and bacon roll in the cafe, spent just over an hour trolling the outdoor play area, taking a beating from the vertical twisty slide lol.. The venue has lots to offer , walks and activities, including the previous indoor play area now used for arts and crafts.. nice little venue for the children and adults alike. Friendly polite staff and informative of upcoming events , such as trails , arts and crafts etc..

Such a beautifully presented platter of delicious cheese and crackers which we thoroughly enjoyed with our cups of tea! Unfortunately however my partner being a 6’4 when used their loo, bumped his head as they have a low ceiling. Also, my partner had ordered another cup of tea that was served in another table which made him wait longer for his extra hot drink. As we explored in the field, we smelt a wonderful fresh fragrance of Lavender! It did not look as purple anymore as I am aware they were going to be harvested soon when we went on 07.08.25 However, the Sunflower field did not disappoint us as they were in their full bloom and most yellow. Nice day out! We love The Barn! Recommended. Be careful with your head at the loos though.

Visited Hitchin Lavender for the first time yesterday to pick our pumpkins for Halloween. We had a fantastic time. Despite the big crowds the pumpkin patch itself was full of loads of large and undamaged pumpkins, perfect for carving. The decorations were fun and well thought out. There was face painting, games and a clown present for the kids. It very aimed at families and children however me and my fiancée still had a great time as a couple. Both the cafes were busy but the staff were handling the queues quickly and politely, plus the pumpkin spiced latte and Halloween luxury hot chocolate were worth the wait as they were both delicious. I will definitely visit next summer as a result of how good it was for the Halloween season.

The Weather was hot ☀️ and nice 😊 All staff were nice and friendly. The Lavender Fields was vibrant with colour and the smells were amazing. Food was delicious 😋 and delightful. The lavender ice cream 🍦 was amazing. Lavender lemonade was delicious and very refreshing. Overall we had a fantastic experience. Everyone should visit Hitchin Lavender. I’ve come with my family from Manchester.

We recently visited Hitchin Lavender Farm and had an absolutely amazing experience! The whole day felt like a perfect escape into nature — beautifully scenic, peaceful, and wonderfully pet-friendly. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning sea of purple stretching across the fields. The aroma of fresh lavender in the air was soothing, and the views were breathtaking — perfect for photos and for simply taking it all in. What made the visit even more special was that we brought our pet along — and they had a blast! Hitchin Lavender is genuinely welcoming to pets, and it showed. One of the biggest highlights was the pet ice cream available on-site. Our furry friend devoured it and couldn’t get enough! It’s such a thoughtful touch for animal lovers. We also tried the lavender ice cream ourselves — and wow! It was creamy, floral, and incredibly refreshing. A truly unique treat that we still talk about. The food options in general were lovely, with plenty of choices for snacks and drinks, and the outdoor seating made it easy to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Before we left, we couldn’t resist browsing the shop. We ended up buying several lavender products — from oils and soaps to beautifully packaged dried lavender. Everything smelled divine and made perfect gifts (and keepsakes for ourselves). Whether you’re coming for a peaceful walk, a family day out, or just to spoil your pet a little, Hitchin Lavender is 100% worth the visit. We spent a lovely day here. What a special place. Full of interesting information. The Swiss Garden is stunning and very relaxing. The cafe provided some nice food but quite pricey. Nice little gift shop. Looking forward to returning for some of the 2026 events.

Lovely place to visit for plane lovers! Didn't have have long to stay, but will be calling in again. Has a cafe, the food order came quickly but a long wait for hot drinks despite only one person in front of us. The food had arrived at our table before we got back with 2 teas!! The cafe was clean as well as the toilets.

We are so pleased to have found such a great day out so close to home. We have visited many aircraft museums, but feel we have all learned something new today. Have to thank the wonderful volunteers who enriched our visit, especially the wonderful Corinne who went above and beyond to welcome and help everyone, especially our son. The gardens are just breathtaking. We discovered our sons photography talent surrounded by nature and history. Great value too. We are already planning our next visit.

I am so extremely lucky to live locally to this amazing aircraft collection, the range of them from modern to the first ever ones made. Even if you aren’t particularly interested in planes every single aircraft in the hangars has a detailed placard about it and it’s super cool to learn about. I personally haven’t visited the cafe and i’ve seen some bad reviews and experiences so that’s the only reason i would give this a four because i feel like i’m not informed enough to give it a five. The lady that sold me the ticket was so incredibly lovely and we even had a lovely chat together, unfortunately i don’t remember her name but she was wonderful! Below i’ve attached a picture of the placard, they all have qr codes with videos of the aircraft in flight and also statistics and the story behind it.

5 mins off the A1 - ample parking, staff were very friendly and the exhibits were fabulous covering mainly 1900 - 1940 aviation and cars - all in hangers and in superb condition Food was plentiful good quality and price. We had our 9 month old grandson and all the staff fully engaged with him making him laugh Ticket valid for 30 days - definitely worth a visit

The air display was wonderful in spite of changes to the schedule because of high winds. It was the first time I've been round the gardens and the ground floor of the house. Both were thoroughly enjoyable.

We had our wedding here earlier this year and selected the Brothers Supper as our caterer. We had the most incredible day the staff were so welcoming and helpful especially with my mother who has some disabilities which I really appreciated. The house itself had plenty of lifts and stair lift to help her manouever around which was a big requirement for us. The food was so tasty and nothing was too much trouble for the managers and staff. We would recommend both the venue and caterer anytime to anyone.

Brilliant place to visit for all ages. Great parking prices. Disabled parking by café/toilets. Pushchair friendly (spring/summer visit). Plenty of space to play and plenty of trails and woodlands to go exploring. Great play parks for all aged children. Will definitely visit again and definitely recommend.

Fantastic park for children to learn about the natural environment. Lots of different separate play areas, meadows & lakes. We saw lots of wildlife & lived the bee apiary. Cafe had lots to offer as well as song honey from the bees.

Loved this country park. Inexpensive car parking with plenty of space. Not overcrowded. Very dog friendly. Plenty of wildlife. Everything from woods to meadows to lakes. A large part of it is wheelchair and disabled accessible. I will definitely come again.

What a hidden treasure this place is! I truly wish I lived nearby! The £1 parking fee is an absolute delight—so refreshing compared to the exorbitant rates we pay down south. The area is perfect for walking, with scenic routes that wind through beautiful landscapes. There are numerous playgrounds, all in impeccable condition, ensuring that children can play safely and enjoyably. To top it all off, there's a charming tea shop that offers incredibly good value for money, providing a cozy spot to relax and recharge. I wholeheartedly plan to visit again!

Plenty of parking. Good disabled access (own car park) with mobility scooters available too. Sheltered areas. Cafe great but needs more indoor seating for winter. Lovely woodlands with a gated wildlife area as well. Several playgrounds for children. Recommend.

We feel so lucky to get to live here for a short time. Just a five minute walk from our front door is King’s Way which leads to the lakes and then into the park. I love to walk our dog so she can run and play but I especially love the swans in the ornamental lake, the forest of beautiful trees and paths, and the sounds of the many birds!

Lovely place to walk, fish, have fun with family or loved ones, you can even grill or place a tent near the lake if you know the right place

We've been to Wimpole Hall and Farm many times over recent years but we have not been inside the house for some time. What a treasure it is! Forgot what a beautiful stately home it was inside and out plus also the connection to Rudyard Kipling is notable and not something I recall before. Entry ticket now includes the Home Farm (previously was an additional charge) which we didn't get time to visit but it's well worth it. They have also in recent years improved the car park and make it more accessible for less abled visitors.The grounds are large too so you can easily spend the full day there if needed.

Beautiful grounds, walked for hours. Fantastic walled garden. Cute tiny baby piglets! Cafes for coffees and snacks. Stunning collection of trees, herbs, flowers. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely day out. Almost spoilt by the staff wanting to kick us out of the manor because it was almost time to lock up. That's for a different day if I visit again and it's the same. The manor is beautiful, with exquisite rooms and a gorgeous library. The grounds are remarkable. The amount of money it would have needed for upkeep alone is mind blowing. The cafe was a little under stocked, but the restaurant just a stones throw away made up for that. Nothing beats ab ice cold drink or ice cream on a British summer day 🙂 I took my family (8yo and wife) along with our friends (13yo, 9yo, and the parents). We enjoyed our 5 hour visit, walking everywhere from the woods, to the farm, and then to the manor. The farm is a working farm with historic buildings which are very imposing. I loved them. It was worth having our National Trust membership. Ample parking, and parking for parents + disability needs. A clean well looked after site which I wouldn't mind visiting again.

The building is quite grand and the interior decoration is beautiful. It takes about half an hour to tour the entire building. If this National Trust attraction only had this building, it would feel rather monotonous. However, since it originally provided a garden and form, you can spend a whole day here, so it is also a place worth visiting as a combination. You will often see families playing in the attraction. In addition, the vast garden also provides children's play facilities. In my opinion, compared with the National Trust attractions I have visited, the facilities here are very rich and sufficient.

I loved every bit of it. We covered everything in 2:30 hours but that was a bit of rush. I could have spend the whole day here. It's the best one I visited by far. I am definitely visiting again with plenty of time in my hand. Play area, Farm animals, house and walled garden - oh my god they all are worth seeing. I was also lucky to have the best weather too on the day however I would visit again regardless of weather anytime soon.

An amazing place to visit. The house is just so well preserved and presented. The grounds and gardens are a true pleasure to walk around. I especially enjoyed pig feeding time.

We really enjoyed are trip to the Wimpole estate, we walked around the extensive grounds and visited the old folly on the hill, really worth a basing and lunch was good at the coffee shop as per other national trust locations.

Set in a very appropriate historical building that schooled Oliver Cromwell. Quite a small museum, but it is packed with relevant artefacts. I found the battle at Naseby video to be the most interesting exhibit. I did feel that more information, videos and commentary would have improved my visit. Worth a look if in the town. Some books available to buy.

What a beautifully laid out and looked after museum for a conflict not spoken about enough. My Wife and I attended this lovely building and I was taken aback by the quality of the exhibits and the kindness of the staff who were readily available to speak with us and show us around. The equipment and literature available in the museum is excellent and kindly donated by the families of the conflict and I couldn't recommend this highly enough and hurry as they currently have a Naseby exhibit! Thank you to the staff and recommendations on the books!

Informative, free, little museum, with interesting items that belonged to Cromwell or from his time, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Located in what remains of a medieval hospital. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Cambridgeshire and have half a day available.

Very good museum for its size. It's only tiny but packs in so much! I think it being housed in Cromwell's old school also works great in letting you feel closer to the man. Maybe a small extension should be built rather than a move because of this. It packs in tons of stuff for everybody. Niche facts for the history buffs, family friendly signs, dressing up for the kids and kids at heart, child friendly signs, and clear and detained displays. I went to Birmingham museum not long ago, and this little museum just shows the level of shame and ineptitude of the staff and management of Birmingham museum. How can this little niche museum have such amazing displays? I was a curious fan of Cromwell before visiting this place. Now I am a huge fan. What am amazing fellow. Truly one of the greatest Englishmen to have ever lived. I learnt so many new things about him and how many of the negative things we're told are spun out of proportion. I hope this place keeps up the great work and can possibly grow in the future.

Amazing place, for such a small museum there is so much to see and so much quality items (in terms of historical significance). And the staff are absolutely brilliant - helpful, insightful, talkative and knowledgeable. Definitely worth to have conversation with them. And please, if possible, donate something.

Very disappointing, wife and I traveled up from dorset, arrived with a nice welcome, small building and close car park and interesting building with the history but very false history slant, portrays king charles the traitor in a good light, and some twist to accurate history, shame because it's the only museum about him, tainted by catholics! A comprehensive small museum devoted to all things Oliver Cromwell. Its full of interesting details about him and his influence and the Civil War period. A vital piece of Huntingdonshires history lovingly preserved and promoted, many thanks

The most sweet and good operation zoo I ever been. Staffs are very nice and willing to talk more about the animals. They also show the animals not just for the guests but they also care and love them. I will donate to the otters and will back next time.

Always a lovely visit here. Great for a few hours out. Great animal enclosures. Fabulous Red Panda viewing! Lovely lake area. Kids indoor play area, cafe with a small menu, entrance and exit is via the shop. Parking on site. Easy to get to by train too! Station is next door! Definitely recommend a visit.

We had a truly wonderful time at Shepreth Wildlife Park today. We participated in the red panda experience and would highly recommend it to anyone. Lucy was simply excellent, providing such insightful information about these fascinating creatures.

Visited Shepreth for an otter experience with my wife. Liz did the experience with us, she is very knowledgeable about the animals and is genuinely happy to educate others about the animals and a joy to be around. We had a great time attending keeper talks and seeing the animals happy in a natural environment. Would definitely recommend a visit. Thanks Shepreth and Liz for a great day out!

Lovely little wildlife park. We headed down from Norfolk for the Otter Experience and it was a solid 10/10! Our guide Liz was fantastic - so passionate about her work and wildlife, she was so inspirational. We learned so much from her! These were memories that would last a lifetime. Thanks Liz, and everyone at Shepreth Wildlife Park.

The wildlife part is brilliant. Relatively small, but sufficient for a great time with toddlers! The cafe is shockingly bad (hence the low rating). I paid £4.10 for a cheese and tuna toastie that was more than empty. The quality of the food and drink is incredibly poor and expensive. Owls were very cool!

An amazing park, the staff clearly enjoy their roles and have a special bond with the animals. We went during Easter time and there was a game you could play via leaflet to try and win a small prize. There’s so much to see from capybaras, owls, alligators, insects, tigers and bunny’s (plus much more!). Highly recommend for all ages and groups. Even though it was Good Friday, there wasn’t a long wait to enter.

Historic watermill, operating on select days. River cruise and self hire boats also available and a small beach area for river swimming.

I had such a lovely day out at Houghton Mill in Abbots and would definitely recommend it. The mill itself is a really interesting National Trust property, full of character, but what made it extra special was everything around it. You can hire boats or punts by the mill at very reasonable prices, which was so much fun and such a relaxing way to enjoy the river. On sunny days, it’s also a great spot to bring your own inflatable if you fancy drifting along at your own pace. The area is perfect for picnics too. There are plenty of tables outside if you want to sit and enjoy food from the café (which was excellent – really tasty and good value), or you can just bring a rug and set yourself up right by the water. It’s such a peaceful, pretty place to relax. If you’ve got time, it’s also worth wandering into the village. There are some really good pubs, all with a welcoming feel, plus a lovely antique and art shop that’s fun to browse. Altogether, Houghton Mill and the village make a brilliant day out with a great mix of history, nature, good food, and a lot of fun on the water!

Lovely small and spacious campsite near the river for walks and water for those who like messing about in it!! The mill was very interesting and a short walk to pubs with good beer. The facilities were great and very clean. My only small gripe was no toilet paper left in the morning.

This was a pleasant and unexpected experience with a lovely mill on a river. Some of the views seemed out of a money painting. We didn't go in the but just did the circular walk. There is a swimming and canoeing area. There's also a campdite close by and a small cafe for refreshments. Parking on grass is available. Good for families wanting to explore and be at one with nature and dogs are welcome.

Visited when en-route home from Shropshire and well worth it. Very busy to park but well organised. Interesting bit of history and couple of enthusiastic volunteers added to it. Pleasant walk along river too. Bought some of the milled flour.

Beautiful place. Did the mill tour but definitely going back to do the 5k circular walk and perhaps take out a rowing boat.

Great place for swimming, canoeing, or long walks. The mill is definitely worth visiting, check the opening hours. There are toilets and a tea shop next to the car park. You can rent boats and canoes. Car park and facilities close usually at 4 pm, but you can still drive out, so don't worry about leaving your car for longer, drive up to the gate (not too close) and it will open. Beautiful scenery, we did an 8k walk (check out the map in my pictures, red trail, with a green shortcut south of the lakes) but you have many options, including an around 20k one recommended on a map just south of the mill. There may be mud and narrow paths in tall grass, so aim at good weather. Don't miss walking around the picturesque village with many old houses, a bit like going back in time. Recommended.

A beautiful cemetery. Feels like you are in America. The grounds are immaculate and the architecture and design fascinating and very unusual for the UK. The visitor center is an absolute must. You go and read about some of the brave men and women who are buried in the cemetery and the tremendous sacrifice they made for us all.

Impressive and immaculately maintained grounds. The scope of the space and the countryside views are a sight to behold. Walking through the rows and rows of service members is a humbling experience but one that fills you with pride and gratitude.

Beautiful cemetery and memorial to keep our fallen hero’s memory alive and their souls cherished. Easy bus ride from the train station. The chapel was beautiful. Grounds kept immaculate. The memorial wall was remarkable. I also really enjoyed the visitor center. Powerful. My only slight suggestion is not to power wash during visiting hours. It was very noisy and in front of the beautiful chapel and reflection ponds.

A very Solemn environment. Quiet and peaceful. The ground staff are to be congratulated.

Visited in September on a bright sunny day. So special and tranquil, a true quiet and reflective place to honour some of the many that lost their lives in WW2. May it stand for many more years as a memorial to all the young men who are buried here and all the lost souls that have no grave but are remembered on the wall.

Beautiful and fascinating history. I was very surprised to find a stone commemorating JF Kennedy’s brother, who was killed in action. Not only that but the stars of David commemorating Jewish soldiers with respect. There is a peaceful, calming atmosphere and makes a lovely space to reflect.

An interesting little museum giving a history of RAF Cranwell, the people who served there and the aircraft used. Very well presented with some interactive displays to keep everyone entertained. For 2025 they have a section dedicated to women serving in the various services before merging with the RAF. Basic cafe on site and toilets. Entry is free at time of writing this with donations gratefully accepted. Run by friendly and knowledgeable staff.

A really great day out here. Lots to do for children and adults alike and a great little free (donation encouraged) museum! Best parts for the kids was an air drop simulation contraption and the flight simulator! Kids really enjoyed it and they loved the plane outside too. The best part though is the gentleman that worked there, he was very helpful and told us about all of the notable people and did it so kids would understand too. Genuinely made the experience. Its a tad on the smaller side so maybe not intended for a full day out but could be a great addition to visiting other local attractions

Absolutely brilliant! There’s so many interactive parts and loads of information. The lady on the desk is so friendly and really makes you feel welcomed. An absolutely stunning museum that is totally worth visiting. Would definitely come back again.

Such a sweet little museum. Loads of interactive stuff for kids to play with, costumes to try on, buttons to press. Really interesting to read about the history of Cranwell and what life was like for the apprentices. Staff were very kind and welcoming. A little cafe and loos made this a perfect pit stop on a long drive.

A great little hidden gem! The museum is just off the main road and was an ideal stop off point for us with kids after several hours in the car. There is plenty of parking in pleasant surroundings in the countryside. The museum was relatively small but had lots of interesting and interactive elements which the kids loved. There was a small dressing up area and a flight simulator. There was also a full sized aircraft in the courtyard to enjoy your lunch next to. They have a small shop and cafe with tea/coffee/ snacks. The lady was lovely and very kind in showing us the different things thd kids could try out. If you have a camper/caravan, there is a small site here which looked well appointed and again ideal as a stop off point close to main routes.

Called in today for the first time. Lovely little museum related to Cranwell Airfield history. Attentive and knowledgable staff made a real difference. It’s only small, but with interactive displays for children, it’s well worth a visit, and it’s free (but please donate something to keep it going).

What an amazing experience! The staff are very knowledgeable and the meerkats are well looked after, super cute and friendly. I just wish we could spend a whole afternoon with them, time flies when you're having fun!

This is a real hidden gem of a place! We were gifted a sugar glider experience and weren't sure what to expect. We needn't have worried! Despite arriving in what looks like a disused garage, we found a little place where the various animals are really well cared for by friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We would definitely visit again, and we would wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful place!

We had a wonderful meerkat experience here today. It is amazing to have these lovely animals climb all over you, feed from your hand and relax whilst you stroke and cuddle them. The owners are informative and caring in. Really recommend this little place.

Booked to meet the Meerkats here with a voucher I had and was really happy with the experience I received. The outside was a bit misleading, but once inside you get a top tier 5-star experience. The whole meet was fully 1 to 1 and we were allowed plenty of time with the Meerkats to take pictures and play with them. And all of the Meerkats we met were very friendly and and playful. After the meet we were taken for a tour of the enclosures and allowed to meet all the wonderful creatures they homed there. 10/10 would highly recommend.

We have visited before and knew we’d come back! This time we did the sugar gliders experience and it was absolutely brilliant! We had dressed knowing we were going to get dirty but they did offer us coats to put over if we wanted. I will say sugar gliders are incredibly messy so you have been warned lol Kayleigh our guide was really knowledgeable and really friendly. We even got to see the baby barn owls! Super cute! This is such a lovely place ran by amazing people. What they do is incredible! We will be back again no doubt. Thanks again!

We went yesterday as had booked the girls a meerkat experience, we traveled an hour to get there. We turned up thinking is this it, as it’s looked like a shed, but once inside, the girls got a 1-2-1 experience and time with Charlie and the meerkats the experience was not shared with lots of people, they came out buzzing, then we was introduced to the reptiles, rescued owls and birds of prey, and sugar gliders. We got a lot more out of this than expected and very informative and time taken, never felt rushed. They host show and tails for schools, these animals are a mixture of interest. But well cared for! We are looking at returning for the sugar gliders experience.

Went for a Meerkat experience and absolutely loved it. Spent about half hour in the pen with the little group and a very knowledgeable member of staff who introduced us to each meerkat then while we fed and petted them have us lots of info about them. Ended too soon but then had the chance to meet and hold a lizard and a snake before being shown around the rest of the experience, meeting more of the animals. Would highly recommended a visit here, wish we could have stayed longer.

Gorgeous place and ideal for what we needed. We stayed for my mother in laws birthday and if you’re looking for somewhere to get a group together it can’t be beaten. Perfect for groups who want their own space.

Visited this cafe and museum a couple times in the past . Great collection of local history both railway and the Great Western Festival 1972 . Stopped by this year and t think the owner has retired so not open now be nice if it did open again sometime in the future.

CHECK THE PRICE LIST FIRST! We stopped here on a bike ride a few days ago. The owner eventually stopped talking to his friend and served me. I asked for a tea, coffee and a Bakewell Tart (in a cellophane wrapper). That will be £11 he said. I went outside and had a thought...went back in and questioned the price. £4 for the tea, £4.40 for the coffee and the rest for the cake. My partner asked the same question and the price of the tea dropped to £3. There was no apology and no offer to provide a refund. Lets not go back.

Stopped off while on a family bike ride, really nice. Has put a lot of effort into safety with screens inside to separate tables if you wish to sit inside. Although the menu has become a little bit more limited it is still good food.

We just love it when we're gagging for coffee on our bike rides and we happen upon a little gem like this. It's quirky, cute and welcoming. The coffee is excellent and we were tempted by the teacakes and didn't regret it. We also love that it's been developed on an old railway yard and retained some fabulous old features reminding us of what has gone before. Thank you and see you soon!

Excellent food, easy parking, friendly staff. It was interesting seeing all the relics from the past. Barry is a wealth of knowledge and very approachable. The centre is Certainly worth a visit for a bite to eat and a quiet look around. Plus it's got fish and chips, what's not to like.

Superb experience for older kids as well. The literature definitely had us worried that this was heavily geared towards families with smaller kids. We had two older teenagers and one younger as well as four adults and we had a great day. The animals were clearly very well cared for and plenty of staff were working to keep them cleaned out and looked after. The facilities were clean and well kept including a LOT of adventure play equipment. If bringing smaller ones I recommend allowing plenty of time for your visit as you will likely be spending plenty of time here! Highly advise booking in advance as a premium is charged for paying on the door!

We’ve been Gold Pass members for a while now, and honestly, it’s the best money we’ve ever spent for family days out. Every single visit is a hit — whether it’s feeding the lambs, zooming around the soft play, or saying hello to the cheeky goats (who clearly run the place). The staff are always so friendly and genuinely brilliant with the kids — they somehow manage to make every activity feel personal and fun, even when it’s busy. Everything’s spotless, well organised, and there’s always something new to see or do. The seasonal events are incredible too — from the Easter egg hunts to the Christmas experience, they really go all in to make it magical. Orson absolutely adores it here — the tractors, the animals, the bouncy pillows, everything. It’s one of those rare places where you can easily spend the entire day and still not get through it all. If you’ve got little ones and haven’t been yet, go. If you have been, get the membership — you’ll use it constantly. Rand Farm Park has become our go-to happy place, rain or shine ❤️🐑🚜

This is a superb day out if you have children. There's so much to do and activities are both indoors and outdoors. We took a picnic but there are two places to buy food if you didnt want to eat outside. My only gripe is how the prices change depending on when you go. If you want to entertain your children here during school holidays then expect to pay pretty much double the price of non school holidays.

Great place, took children aged 8 and 5, and they have really enjoyed their day. Feed the animals, played on every single item there and have completely tired themselves out.

Absolutely love Rand Farm Park, the special events they put on just keep getting bigger and better, but have the same attention to detail. The timetable is always full with extras that are free to participate in. The animals well cared for. Facilities are always well cleaned and the food and drinks have always been good and priced on par with most places. A fabulous day out for the family even though our daughter is now 11, she still seems to love the Farm. Great value family fun all year round 😁

Really lovely experience here at the farm. We went as part of the boxing day offer with my family for a day trip. There was loads to do and lots of animals to see. The tractor ride was lovely, and we even had a bit of sunshine 🌞. The best bit was definitely my children bottle feeding the baby calves, seeing a Jersey cow being milked and also the outdoor kids entertainment. Will be back in Summer with a picnic!

Really good day out lots of vintage items to enjoy, all staff there were very friendly! For five pounds each me and my partner really enjoyed it, it is fairly small and if you rush it you’d be in and out in 10 minutes but we took our time to read and enjoy everything. There’s also a cafe attached but we didn’t try this so couldn’t comment on this, Definately worth a look if you enjoy a good trip down memory lane!

Our family of five recently visited the Bubblecar Museum while on holiday and had a delightful experience. Entry was very affordable at just £5 per adult and £1 per child. The museum featured an impressive collection of interesting cars and nostalgic items from the 1950s. A knowledgeable guide enriched our visit, offering insightful explanations about the exhibits. The gift shop had a lovely selection of reasonably priced items, and the café provided good value refreshments. Overall, it’s a charming little museum perfect for a family outing and something a bit different. Staff were lovely, add this to your todo list!

I came across this place after driving through New York NrBoston. I found this small but well put together museum. Some really interesting vehicles. It also has a cafe serving refreshments along with cakes sausage rolls ect.

Excellent museum and very friendly owners Loads of interesting cars, vintage interiors & items, plus you can get a ride in a bubble car too! Also great value ... only a fiver for adults and I think 2 quid for kids and *Dog Friendly*. Cafe good, We had 2 coffees, toasted sandwiches and a slice of cake for 13£.. Fantastic.

Today we visited the bubblecar museum with my family and it was a good experience. You can have a good time seeing old cars, motorcycles, it has old items that were used in homes. The staff is very friendly and the surroundings are very beautiful. A different activity and a place that I recommend visiting if you are around.

A bit scruffy, the place hadn't been dusted or hoovered in years, but a great selection of micro cars, plus some bikes and period dressed rooms. Small carpark but we found space and only a fiver to get in!! A bargain!

A very interesting collection of motor vehicles of the past, many more than expected, the museum is actually larger than we thought. There are several three-dimensional replicas of historical scenes, like a mechanic shop, and a few windows with car models. There is also a second floor with other scenes and cars. Really worth a visit.

Looks impressive from the outside but unfortunately was closed.

A maintained and operation mill although not at the moment due to sail repairs. A little tricky to navigate the stairs which are more like ladders. Not a bad cream tea from the on site tea room either with scones and cakes made using the flour.

Was open as part of Lincolnshire Heritage wk,They hope to be fully open May 2026 and be able to produce flour. Great place , really enjoyed it.

Preserved / restored Gem. well worth a visit to this complete windmill, all floors are accessible apart from the gail gear room as its a dangerous area. mill produce is available and a good range of condiments. its a peaceful location with an atmosphere of the past.

Was nice to finally see on an open day not fully open yet but the lady I spoke to said sometime next year there is plans to open it again in some capacity

This place has a decent size pool which is warm, four big slides, a lazy river, wave pool, two areas for the little ones, there is a decent size changing room, lockers are £1 to use and refunded when you are finished. Expect a massive queue if you leave it too late when it opens in the morning, they do put on pool parties on a couple of nights in the week as well.

Plenty of pools of different sizes, changing room area not too bad. Expect queuing between 10am and 12pm but soon moved quickly. The wave machine pool was good although be warned the flooring is made of some type of abrasive material at the entrance to it and can easily scratch your skin on it 🙈. Overall would recommend coming here for a couple of hours to tire the kids out! 😊

Really disappointed and disgusted with how filthy the changing area was. It smelt like urine, the floors were dirty and hadn't been cleaned in hours, and there was a dirty nappy left the in the family changing room. The smell of chlorine in the pool was very strong too. Had the kids not been so excited to go swimming, I would have walked out. The pool itself was very busy (to be expected in summer season) so was a free for all to find a locker, and long queues to get a changing room after swimming. I now understand why so many people who were staying at the resort were walking back to their accommodation in their towels. It was a really stressful experience.

it was really good apart from the fact that the toilets were disgusting i dont know if it was the same in the mens toilets but in the women toilets it smelled like urine and the smell was very strong and the floor was wet obviously so i didnt know if i was stepping in urine or pool water,i only visited for the day but by the end of it i was tired out which is good because if you came for the day with your children it will certainly tire them out. to bring some positivity into this review i would also like to add that overall it was amazing and the river rapids were my absolute favourite and there was many things to do.

Great go here every year and still enjoy it nothing not to like about it and I've been going since I was 2
