Sant Antoni de Portmany

Sant Antoni de Portmany is a town on the west coast of Ibiza, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands. It’s known for its lively nightlife and vast natural harbor, Sant Antoni’s Bay. A promenade runs from the harbor to the beaches of S’Arenal and Es Pouet. Both beaches have calm, shallow waters. Between them, the heritage site, Sa Punta des Molí, is home to a windmill, an olive oil press and a small botanical garden.

Bar
Café del Mar, established in 1980, is an iconic bar known for its chillout music and global cuisine. The venue offers a nostalgic experience with its mesmerizing chillout compilations from the early 2000s. Visitors can enjoy watching the sunset while sipping on cocktails and listening to soothing tunes in the background.
Amazing place. I've been looking forward to coming here for many years, and it didn't disappoint. The food and service were brilliant, and the drinks were high quality. The atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend it.

We had a lovely evening at Cafe Del Mar. The setting is beautiful for sure. The price for drinks is expensive. Worth visiting once. I have no desire to return again. Staff service levels was average, there was no warmth from anyone. They seem too focused on communication on their headsets and less about engaging with customers particularly those not eating I cannot help but think that they are missing a trick there with that.
Sabrina M — Google review
We’ve been end of September. Very crowdy. Better to book a table. We came for atmosphere and music. We ordered cocktails which were amazingly good. We also took some dishes. We spent 6 hours sitting and watching the sea and the sunset.
Dmitry Z — Google review
Thank you cafe del mar. I've wanted to come here for over 20 years and it was just as special as I had hoped. My wife and I had an unforgettable front row sunset experience with an excellent team of runners and servers. Everything was quick, efficient and right first time. Worth the money with easily the best cocktails we tasted on our whole trip to Ibiza.

A great place to sit and watch the sunset. We had a great sangria tinto plus some crudités and dips - a little pricey but worth it for the view and atmosphere. Good service. Would be great if they had more vegetarian/gluten-free options on the menu 😀

Dear Café del Mar, The sunset was perfect. The food is great, the staff is absolutely amazing. The sea, timeless. The atmosphere — magic. But one thing was missing: “Energy 52 – Café del Mar.” Where else, if not here? This track is not just a classic — it is your legend. Your name. Your soundtrack. To visit Café del Mar and not hear “Café del Mar”? That’s like walking into a cathedral and finding no altar. Beautiful walls, yes — but the soul is silent. Music evolves, yes — but history should not be erased. You are not just a lounge by the water. You are a symbol. A ritual. A place people travel the world to feel something only you can offer. Please don’t lose that. Play the track. Once. Every night. Like a prayer at sunset. It will remind everyone — including you — why this place became legend. With all respect and admiration, Julia A guest who came for the view — and hoped to hear the heart of the island.

One of my favorite places in San Antonio. The food is good and although booking a first row view of the sunset is extremely expensive, there is no time limit and you really enjoy an amazing vibe, view, food, good service for as long as you want. The beats in sync with the sunset and the change of music after that, really get you în the mood for saying until late
Maria B — Google review
This place is basically a bar/resturant by the sea to watch the sunset with loud music playing. The more you pay, the closer to the sea/frontline you can sit. Staff are friendly. We had drinks there and watching the sun set was wonderful. I don't really think the money/cost justified our experience but it was a nice time. We did not eat here, we opted to walk further up the coast and eat at another one of the many restaurants on the coast here.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Aquarium Cap Blanc, also known as the Lobster Cave, is a unique exhibition located in an underground cavern. The cave was once used as a lobster nursery and is now home to a variety of aquatic life, including fish, sea sponges, starfish, and shark eggs. The aquarium features naturalistic environments for rescued sea turtles before their release into the wild. Visitors can walk on a wooden pathway over the water and observe Mediterranean sea-life in tanks.
It is a small aquarium but it is also, to my experience, unique. I have never been to an aquarium in caves where I can watch my children throw mussels to small sharks, rays and flying grouper fish before. The coffee is good and decaff is available in the full range (necessary for many of us). The pizza was fine and all the tapas i saw brought to other tables seemed really nice (we were there with young kids who we needed to get through a supermarket trip afterwards, so speed was of the essence in our choice) Really lovely little place, though not really accessible for those in wheelchairs and I wouldn't recommend taking a pushchair/buggy
Midori ( — Google review
A very interesting place. As for the aquarium itself, it is located in a natural cave and is very small. You can see it all in a few minutes. But what made us even happier was the small bar at the entrance to the aquarium. It is located on a cliff overlooking the sea, the staff are very friendly, and we had the cheapest and best mojito in Ibiza there. I can actually imagine spending a nice, peaceful day there. So I recommend including it in your travel itinerary. It's a great place to have a few drinks and watch the fish at the same time. :-)
Pavel T — Google review
The aquarium is set in a really nice location with a really nice view and easy to get to. The aquarium is very unique and was a nice experience, and the staff there were very nice. If you are going to go there expect a 15 to 20 minute stay.
Logic — Google review
Aquarium is small and expensive for what it is, but the kids enjoyed it and loved feeding the fish. The cafe is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view across the bay with a coffee. There is a basic porta-loo toilet for customers.
Ash W — Google review
A cute rustic little place built around the sea rocks. Didn’t know what to expect from this but we spend about 30-45 mins strolling through and back with two young kids. It was pretty with some baby sharks and some variety of lobsters. Definitely more for the kids but still could appreciate as adults too. We Actually parked up a hill on the main road and trekked through the coastline which was a make shift trail, that in itself was a nice part to get there but maybe advised to have reliable footwear. Fairly simplistic spot and a nice stop off in between going to another beach location. We didn’t end up eating or getting anything from the place here to eat.
Chris C — Google review
A very unique place in a small natural cave, not the standard aquarium you can find in many other places in the world. Even taking plenty of photos though it won't take more than 15/20 minutes of your time so the best is to visit as part of an island tour or a boat tour.
Roberto G — Google review
Nice little natural aquarium built inside a cave, being fed by natural tidal sea water, fish food can be purchased at the bar to feed the fish with, prices are reasonable for entry and for snacks and drinks.
Simon G — Google review
Absolute waste of time. Only about 3 types of fish, most being ray wings which u can see in the bay. Seen bigger fish tanks with more fish even in restaurants!! The picture on any of the maps is the whole thing so dont waste your time or money!!! Even our little girl thought it was just the entrance not the whole thing. AVOID!!

Restaurant
Café Mambo is a seaside café and bar that offers cocktails, snacks, and live DJ performances with stunning sunset views over the water. It is part of the phenomenon of Ses Variades, which includes renowned establishments like Space Eat & Dance, Café del Mar, Golden Buddha, and the legendary Café Mambo founded in 1994. The café has its own musical label featuring chill out, lounge, ambient, chill house, and Balearic beats that capture the current Ibiza atmosphere.
Most beautiful sunset there is to see. Whether it’s buying a drink at the bar or taking your own, the vibes are 10/10 and the music is great. Daytime coffee overlooking the water with a bite to eat or cocktails and beers on the evening there are choices for everyone.

What’s better than your first meal in Ibiza with friends? Cafe Mambo brekkie! Chilled out spot overlooking the sea in Sant Antoni. Service was friendly and efficient. Came shortly after opening with no wait on a weekday at the end of September. We can highly recommend stopping here for a quick snack during the day or at night!
Danielle W — Google review
Went for an afternoon wander and stopped for just one refreshment. But we ended spending the whole afternoon as we got the best service and a genuine person with great banter. So we stayed and soaked up the sun. Massive shout out to Jane. What a difference good people make. X

A beach bar without a beach. :-) Unfortunately, San Antonio is a place where there are no typical sandy beaches. So, you can sit by the sea, but you can't take a drink and sit in the sand. :-) When we walked past the bar, the staff welcomed us warmly and showed us the menu, from which we ordered drinks. They were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, it was then time for the shift change, and the bar began to prepare for the evening rush of guests. So when someone from the staff did show up, it was only to move something away or bring something else over. There was absolutely no interest in us as guests; on the contrary, we felt like we were in the way. So we had one drink and left, even though we wanted to try much more from the menu.

Wow what an incredible experience at Cafe Mambo. We were with a group booking and our waitress was Irene. She provided an excellent service with a friendly smile. The food was great and good portions, everyone in the group was impressed. We had a great view of the sunset and once the sun went down the DJ provided superb music and there was an electric vibe. Highly recommend a visit to this Ibiza treasure. Thank you Irene and the Cafe Mambo team 👏🫶
Amanda G — Google review
Café Mambo is pure Ibiza magic! The atmosphere is unbeatable – sipping cocktails while watching the sun melt into the sea is an experience you’ll never forget. The staff were warm, welcoming, and really looked after us, making the evening feel special from start to finish. The music was incredible, with the perfect soundtrack to a breathtaking sunset. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than other spots, but the quality, service, and iconic setting make it worth every cent. A must-visit if you’re in Ibiza – absolutely unforgettable!”

I loved my experience here, a good nice mixed crowd. Cocktails were amazing and the view to watch sunset was excellent, a great for food and a bit of a party. A special thank you to Alba who was amazing!

We booked a table at the front to see the amazing sunset view from about 7pm til 11pm. Service is very good and so was the food. The tables come with a minimum spend which I understand as it's the place to be, but we had to eat and drink a lot to make up the numbers which isn't a problem Definitely somewhere to experience.. Good music, but I wouldn't say wow, but the DJ got the last few minutes of the setting sun down to a tee....🫶🏼

Ibiza San Antonio is a beautiful destination to explore during the day, with a large port area and a long promenade filled with shops and restaurants. It's a bustling place offering various entertainment options, including excursions and water sports activities. While it can get busy, it serves as an excellent base for discovering Ibiza. The marina is particularly noteworthy for its impressive boats. However, some visitors note that the evening atmosphere may be less appealing due to the freedom young people have.
I love San Antonio great location to travel to other areas of Ibiza something for everyone

Hostal La Torre is a trendy hotel with a rustic yet chic atmosphere, featuring a restaurant and bar with a patio offering stunning water views. Situated near the beach of Cala Gracio, it has become renowned for having one of the best sunset views on the island. The restaurant terrace has turned into a popular spot to witness breathtaking sunsets, often accompanied by DJ sets from top island residents and surprise guest stars.
This place is a must visit every time we come to Ibiza! The setting is just the most romantic, perfect sunset dinner setting. The food here is amazing! Such a good selection on the menu and all the dishes are beautifully presented and well balanced. The service is outstanding, super accommodating and great professionalism. The atmosphere and setting is just perfect. Cannot recommend enough! The sunset dinner is not rushed at all, so when you arrive, you have your table for the evening.

Yo, this place was super chill! The view of the sea? Absolutely gorgeous, perfect backdrop while you eat. I got the tomato toastie, and even though it’s simple, it was delicious. I heard the sunset here is stunning, but I couldn’t stick around to catch it this time - bummer! The restaurant’s got a great feel, and that ocean view is just chef’s kiss. Gotta come back for that sunset!

Lovely little hotel. The view is incredible and the service from the staff was always so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant food is stunning although slightly on the pricey side. Sidenote there is no swimming pool but there are a couple of beautiful bays within walking distance of the hotel. The location is good. You are not far from all the action, but it’s so calm and quiet. We would definitely return. Thanks Hostal La Torre for a lovely stay

I am extremely disappointed with this place. My partner got sick and we had to cancel, but despite calling four times and explaining the situation, they kept repeating their strict 48-hour cancellation policy and charged €50 per person. I would have loved to reschedule, but that simply wasn’t possible since we were flying home the next day. There was absolutely no understanding or human aspect in their approach, only a focus on making money. Honestly, there are plenty of nicer places to go where they actually care about their guests. I would not recommend this to anyone who values decent customer service and compassion.

We had an amazing evening at La Torre, the setting is gorgeous and food delicious, also a very good wine list. All staff were super helpful and nice and our main waiter Omar was just amazing, so friendly and great recommendations. Definitely a new favourite place on the island!

A beautiful little hotel and restaurant. Stunning location and exceptional service. All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The views from the restaurant and bar area are stunning. Glad we found this gem, will definitely be back.

What a perfect little corner of paradise! We stayed 4 nights - spotlessly clean, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, the location and the views are spectacular and our room - was tiny but perfectly formed with comfy beds, simple but charming design and attentive cleaning- every day we arrived 'home' (yes it felt like home ❤️) we found our room to be immaculate and thoughtfully attended to - what a little gem!! Thank you to all
S B — Google review
Went to the restaurant here on our second night in Ibiza. I advise against. View is great but everything else is average to terrible. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting the Ritz but took an hour to take our order and then another hour and 15 minutes to deliver two basic starters. Other tables arrived after us and were on dessert by the time we decided we'd been forgotten about and gave up on our main courses. Appreciate these places can get busy but then just hire more people to ensure you're running a smooth operation. Particularly when the food is ok (based on the two dishes we had) rather than amazing. Better to go to Cafe Mambo to see the sunset with a beer/cocktail and avoid this overpriced joint.

Es Ventall is a long-standing restaurant in San Antonio, Ibiza, known for its high-end island cuisine with a modern twist. The restaurant has been recognized as the best on the island by the Gastronomy Academy of Ibiza and Formentera. With over 35 years of experience, it has reinvented traditional recipes while using fresh produce from its own family vegetable garden. Dishes like Bullit de Peix and Sofrit Pages showcase their creative approach to Ibizan cuisine.
Es Ventall is a true gem in San Antonio. We were blown away by the beautiful garden setting — it’s peaceful, elegant, and the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner. You can really feel the care they put into the atmosphere. The food was outstanding — so fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. You can tell they use high-quality local ingredients, and everything we tried was thoughtfully prepared. We didn’t get to try the tasting menu this time, which we were a little sad to miss — but it just gives us the perfect excuse to come back. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing food and service. Arrived at a later hour, but they were still able to accommodate us and do the tasting menu which normally takes more time. It was very appreciated for them to go the extra mile.

Couldn’t we choose a rating above 5 stars?! It was just so amazing!!! We’ve chosen the tasting menu, with our own bottle of wine. All the different tastes in all individual dishes, it was wonderful. The staff is so friendly, one by one, everyone. We loved it and will definitely come back. Thanks for the wonderful experience

The most amazing meal in Ibiza! We had the tasting menu & each dish was exceptional, the staff were all lovely & we had great service, 10/10 would highly recommend!
Carly — Google review
Es Ventall is a charming restaurant. In fact, it’s the only Michelin Guide listed place in Sant Antoni. Although it hasn’t earned a star, its inclusion svows that Michelin considers it a good dining choice, even if it may not yet reach the level of culinary mastery, creativity, and consistency associated with starred venues. The steak was exceptionally flavorful, with nearly every slice having a juicy, satisfying portion of fat. The accompanying vegetable arrived generously coated in a delicious, aromatic nut sauce that perfectly complemented the dish. On the downside, the desserts felt overly sweet and slightly dry, not delivering a nice indulgence. The romantic garden terrace, shaded by the vast canopy of an ancient fig tree, provides an intimate setting for a meal. However, access is reserved for guests with advance reservations. Overall, Es Ventall delivers a memorable dining experience, well worth a visit for its honest cuisine and warm atmosphere.

Es Rebost de Can Prats is a charming restaurant located in Sant Antoni, Ibiza, housed in an early-1900s grocer shop. Since its opening in 1994, it has been a symbol of the island's culinary heritage. The menu pays homage to traditional Ibizan cuisine with carefully prepared dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Specialties include calamari a la bruta in the summer and roast suckling lamb during Easter.
I had the pleasure of dining at Es Rebost de Can Prats, a charming restaurant in San Antonio that celebrates authentic Ibizan cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the warmth of this family-run establishment, housed in a traditional Ibizan home, which adds to the cosy and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic selection of local dishes, each showcasing the rich flavours of the island. I highly recommend trying the arroz de matanzas, a savory rice dish traditionally prepared during Ibizan family gatherings. This hearty dish is packed with flavor and offers a true taste of local culinary heritage. Each dish felt like a taste of the island’s traditions, prepared with love and respect for Ibizan culture. The staff were attentive and friendly, eager to share the story behind each dish and make recommendations. It’s a wonderful place for anyone looking to experience authentic Ibizan food in a relaxed, welcoming setting. I left with a full heart and a very satisfied appetite. If you’re in San Antonio and want to try true Ibizan flavors, Es Rebost de Can Prats is a must-visit.

Best restaurant on Ibiza… very small local family driven place for the locals.. been here a lot, never seen a tourist here.. food is real… honest, “raw” local rustic with great taste… no plastic and no drunk fools..

Probably the most authentic place to eat in Ibiza, in my opinion. It's in sant'antoni, near the centre of town. It is a small place with few tables. The menu is based on traditional dishes, well cooked. The owners are able to pass on their passion for traditional cuisine to their customers. I loved their aioli sauce and other dishes. Great value for money

Delicious time at Es Rebost! We walked in right as they opened without a reservation on a Thursday, and we were lucky to be seated. Soon after, they were turning walkins away. All the dishes were perfection, especially the stuffed peppers and seafood dishes. With an array of home made desserts, delicately displayed at the entrance, we went home sufficiently stuffed and happy!

A true gem of authentic "Ibizenco" cuisine, home style cooking with fresh local ingredients with a lot flavors and spices, Service was very welcoming and friendly, On top of all that very fair prices for this level of quality and also in comparison to other restaurants. Definitely a must go to place when coming to Ibiza, I believe it's one of the best restaurants of the island! no doubt will come back.

Es Tragón is a luxurious restaurant located in Cap Negret, just a short drive from Cala Salada or an hour's walk through the pine forest. The chef, Alvaro Sanz Clavijo, has created an oasis of scents and flavors overlooking the Mediterranean. This Michelin-starred restaurant offers personalized menus with the finest seasonal ingredients and a wide range of local and international wines.
Absolutely lovely experience. The service and atmosphere are incredible welcoming and warm. The place is gorgeous. The food was tasty and interesting. One downer: Accommodating food preferences, which where shared weeks before, didn’t go well though. The menu still had 3 dishes where these ingredients played a significant role, so they went back untouched.

The whole experience at Es Tragon was impeccable. They went above and beyond in every aspect. Attention to every detail and tailored the experience to us and our guests. They took care of our children like their own. We are so grateful, thank you! The food was phenomenal. Absolutely sensational. From beginning to the end. Each part of the journey was absolutely incredible and mouthwatering. We cannot wait to be back. Thank you all! Oscar, Elisa and the wonderful porter who helped us too sorry I didn’t catch your name and the whole kitchen! Every member made our evening special. You’re all superstars! An evening for the books.

I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially if one has any food restrictions. I called them before booking to ask if they could accommodate my husband who does not eat fish or shellfish. I was told that they could, if we had the Menu Erizo, the more expensive menu. I called again the day before to confirm this. We had 2 calls on the day asking about whether he could eat various forms of fish and shellfish. We were very encouraged by this and excited to see what they would serve him as a replacement. Unfortunately our expectations were not matched. He was served a double helping of one course and missed out completely on 2 courses when he was served nothing. There was no adjustment on the bill for this. Not really good enough for a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was particularly embarrassing for myself and our 2 guests when my husband sat through 2 courses with no food served to him. The restaurant should have been honest with me on my first phone call that they were not able to accommodate us instead of getting us to pay for the more expensive menu and wine pairing. Additionally we were charged €27 for water! This is very shortsighted of the restaurant and is the thing that remains in our memory rather than the the lovely surroundings, interesting food and lovely staff. We walked away annoyed and would certainly not return despite being resident in Ibiza. Nor would we recommend this restaurant to our friends.

We came here for my 40th birthday and I treated my friends, I felt like it was really good value for an experience on oar with what you get in a Michelin starred restaurant. The stew injected into an egg yolk and the typical Madrid bocadillo were stand outs but really you are spoiled for choice and the quiet location makes for a good departure from the busy streets of Ibiza town.
Geoffrey B — Google review
A beautiful restaurant and thoughtful, well executed culinary experience. The little snacks were creative and innovative. We had the Erizo menu for a late dinner. It was filling as expected. Some courses were better than others but the overall experience didn’t disappoint for a Michelin starred restaurant.

A unique experience to discover new tastes using local raw products. Nothing can be compared with this. We started our journey with a guided tour of vegetal flavors with the chef, before an exploration following the Mediterranean sea shore. I will never forget this and it is worth a visit if you can afford it. More than 30 people are working for less than 25 customers. Of course the result is exceptional even if some assemblages were unusual: this is the whole idea.

An incredible food experience with impeccable and creative presentation. The staff was extraordinary and clearly highly trained in what they do. I loved the attention to detail and creativity. At one point we had to whisk our own aioli which just put a huge smile on my face. I loved every minute here.

EsTragòn is a unique gastronomic experience: Michelin-star worthy food presented in the most innovative ways. We had the 90€ “medium” menu - each of the 10+ dishes, from the “tribute to the Ibizan pork” tree-like introductory snack (see pictures to understand), to the many tapas (including the divine squid roll), the fabulous stew and rice dishes, and the postres (the almond cheese!) was absolutely genius/delicious, most of the ingredients being local. The staff was amazing, giving us details and precise indications on how to best enjoy each plates. We paid 285€ for 2 bottles of wine, 2 “medium” menu (felt like “huge”!) and coffee, which was definitely a steal for the amazing food we’ve had. Definitively one of the best dinners we’ve had, ever, and most definitely the most innovative! Highly recommend to any gourmet!

Mediterranean restaurant
Es Nàutic Restaurant is a renowned dining spot in Sant Antoni, Ibiza, offering an elevated Mediterranean seafood experience with stunning water views. The restaurant collaborates directly with the local fishing guild to source the finest marine products, including red prawns from Ibiza and seasonal lobster. Specializing in rice dishes and Mediterranean cuisine, it's known for its delectable fried gambussi and fish stew.
The food is amazing, you need to order the classic Bullit the Peix, it is super tasty and it ends with rice, it is amazing!!! And the service is great

Breakfast Review Only, this is a fantastic place on San Antonio Port with views to the bay. The place is modern and elegant, it has a small terrace also. The good thing is that It is open year round and offers a simple yet convenient breakfast until 12:30 daily. Pricing is very moderate for the breakfast menu a la carte, and has a few options but not many, it is a bar like atmosphere during the morning but an elegant space from lunch to dinner. I had a full breakfast for about 12€ came with OJ, coffee lots of bread and two eggs, very simple compared to other english breakfasts offered around. Service was a little slow considering there were not many people, but courteous. It is nice for coffee or drinks but will have to come back for lunch or dinner in the future. Overall I will come back as the atmosphere is worth it.

My husband and I loved this place so much, we went twice during our stay in San Antonio! The views of the marina are beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant, and the service was friendly and attentive both times. But the star of the show? The paella — absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked rice, full of flavor, and packed with fresh seafood. We’ve had paella in many places, but this one truly stood out. Everything we tried was delicious, but the paella alone is reason enough to come back. Highly recommended if you’re in Ibiza and looking for a memorable meal by the sea!

Very good location. You could look out to the sea. The staff were really friendly But the food was below standard. Even Newcastle serves better spanish food.

The food quality is above 5 stars. The service likewise very kind and attentive they always give me the best and they are very professional and give great suggestions regarding what to order if you’re undecided. Can’t wait to be back! This is one of those places that personally made me come back to Ibiza.

The food quality was fantastic: especially paella. The afo guard we had for dessert, ice cream was too hard but the taste of combination with ice cream and coffee was just amazing. Nice service but lack of the atmosphere in the restaurant that is not along with the food price.
