Teatro Alessandro Bonci, also known as Teatro Comunale Alessandro Bonci, is a historic opera house located in Cesena. Built in the mid-1800s by architect Vincenzo Ghinelli, it features a neoclassical facade and a classic semi-circular auditorium with five tiers of boxes. The theater was dedicated to the renowned tenor Alessandro Bonci and has recently undergone interior renovations to restore its original colors and materials.
The theatre of Cesena. Best acoustics along with La Scala. Amazing place. Cesena may well be the most underrated town in Italy

I would highly recommend this Theater. I attended a jazz concert last Saturday 4th February given by the excellent Australian jazz pianist, singer, and composer Sarah McKenzie and her brilliant quartet. It is a beautiful place in pristine condition. The staff were friendly and efficient. The sound quality in the theater was excellent, and I could clearly hear each instrument----piano, double bass, guitar ( electric 7 string jazz ) and drums, and her voice, with no muffling, or no feeling that the sound was going over my head. Definitely to be recommended

Musicalia Museum radiates the immense passion, gentleness, determination, research, and meticulous precision of Franco Severi. It is situated in a captivating and well-maintained setting. This remarkable collection of mechanical musical instruments serves as a constant reminder that for centuries, the human voice was mankind's sole source of sound. A visit to Musicalia Museum is an absolute must-do for anyone seeking to delve into this extraordinary world of music.
A hidden treasure in the hills outside Cesena. Wonderful collection and informative guided tour.

Very pleasant and detailed guided tour. The pieces on display are of great value and rare beauty. The staff is truly special and kind. (Translated by Google) A true hidden gem just outside Cesena! The Museum of Mechanical Music was a surprising discovery: fascinating, with attention to the smallest details and capable of transporting you to another era. I visited thanks to a trip and even the kids were enchanted, it's difficult not to get involved in the magic of the music that accompanies every step, inside and outside the villa. The surrounding park is also enchanting and hosts sound installations that make the experience even more immersive. A highly recommended visit for all ages! Open only on weekends and holidays, but for large groups contact the museum. The kids also did a very nice workshop. Two different paths are possible, one on mechanical music and the other on Carducci who stayed at Villa Silvia. (Original) Un vero gioiello nascosto appena fuori Cesena!

(Translated by Google) An incredible experience, especially for the kids. It's fascinating to see the history of music come to life through instruments that still work, just like they did all those years ago. The guide was exceptional, able to explain in a clear and engaging way. The children had fun discovering the sounds and mechanisms of ancient instruments, such as music boxes and pianos. A truly unique museum, which combines history and curiosity in an interactive way.

(Translated by Google) My friend recommended this museum, so I came to Cesena specifically for this purpose, and after about forty minutes of cycling, I arrived at the museum entrance. I arrived during opening hours (I checked several times), but despite my repeated attempts to ring the bell, I received no answer. I noticed that the lights inside were on, music was playing, and I could see someone moving around inside—but apparently, that person had ignored my presence. After waiting almost thirty minutes and trying to contact them several times, I decided to leave. I think your museum could be truly interesting, but I was very disappointed with the treatment I received during opening hours, especially considering that I came to Cesena specifically for this purpose and spent almost an hour and a half cycling there and back to visit. I hope you can take steps to improve the situation.

As the plaque on the outside states, it dates back to the 11th century and was built near the tomb of Bishop Mauro; entrance from a short pavement with squared columns, inside it has a single nave with many chapels on the sides and with the main altar area at the top compared to the rest of the church; the Altar is accessed via two staircases on either side of it and this is the most beautiful part of the Basilica, very rich, with excellent Organ, Choir and Dome; the decorations and finishes are very beautiful; the chapels, as mentioned, are many and are almost all quite simple; they are dedicated to many religious figures and in each of them there is a great painting above the Altar and these paintings date back on average from the 14th to the 20th century; the frescoes that are found all around the Church between the arches that delimit the Chapels and the Ceiling are very beautiful and particular; at the exit there is the bust of San Mauro Vescovo and the bronze statue of San Benedetto Abate after whom the Abbey is named. The Biblioteca Malatestiana Moderna, also known as the Malatestian Library, is a significant symbol of Cesena's medieval prosperity. It was built by the Malatesta family and has been recognized by UNESCO for its well-preserved structure and manuscripts. The library is located on the second floor of the modern Public Library and offers a wide range of contemporary texts, from art to non-fiction.
This is a hidden treasure in Emilia Romagna. It's only possible to visit it through a quick and explanatory tour. From the moment you step in, you enter in a magical atmosphere where time seems to have frozen. Simply amazing how well is kept after all these centuries. Stunning.

I’m really glad we decided to take the guided tour. You can't enter the old library without a guide, so booking this tour was a great choice. It lasted about 45 minutes and was absolutely fascinating. Our guide was excellent and highlighted many details that we would have otherwise missed. Seeing the setup with the chained books in person was truly mind-blowing. Plus, it was a perfect way to escape the summer heat! The ticket price was definitely worth it. This is a must-see if you're in Cesena.

Notably recognized by UNESCO, the new library is a jewel rediscovered with a ton of spaces, reading amenities and a huge collection of books, media and the 15th century library that is a must to be seen
Matteo D — Google review
A couple of things I wish I would have known before coming here: 1) It is on the 2nd flr of the current, modern Public Library 2) You can only just walk in the door; the reading desks and essentially the library itself is roped off 3) The "guide" is just the guy that opens the gate and the door and plays the "history" off his phone in whatever language you request That being said, even though I was a bit disappointed in experiencing the library itself, it was still a major book/history nerd moment to even be there. To see the old reading alters with the manuscripts still attached with the original chains and the two keyed door that was also part of the original library, still standing just as they 550+yrs before; it was actually surreal to process. And the fact that I had it all to myself, (I lucked out as it was just me and the guide) made it all the more special! There is a large room adjacent to the library hall where some of the previous popes' personal collections as well as manuscripts from the early 1400s-1600s and old medical, botany, and other scientific books from the 15th century on, are encased. You can also walk around the enclosed bookcases and see some of the old books throughout the collection, which is extremely impressive! For me, however, the smell was the most intoxicating part of the whole experience. The smell in the ancient reading hall, and the smell in the book museum. That old, earthy blend of vellum, antique inks, and timeworn leathers was ethereal and well worth the 5 euro price of admission! I had specifically come to Cesena to visit this library and was only there for just over 2hrs as a detour on my way to Rome from Venice; it took me longer to travel there than time spent! But, it was so worth the visit to experience such a venerable and only humanistic-conventual link to the past. That, in and of itself, was worth the effort! Tip: Unless you are part of a pre-scheduled tour group, you will need to purchase a ticket and request a guide from one of the receptionists in the unmarked office behind the wood door immediately to your right as you come up the stairs to the second floor.

Nestled along the picturesque Via Emilia, Quel Castello di Diegaro is a charming venue that beautifully marries modern comfort with historical elegance. This upscale establishment features stylish rooms and offers a delightful free breakfast in its inviting restaurant, which boasts garden dining. Renowned for its exceptional Italian cuisine and artisanal pizzas, it has become a beloved spot in Cesena's culinary scene. Guests rave about the extraordinary pasta dishes and standout main courses like the roasted piglet with wine sauce.
We had dinner here on a Monday and the place was busy but a beautiful atmosphere. I would advise booking in advance. The service was excellent and staff very attentive. Restaurant : I came here with my family for lunch, expecting based on the reviews something unique with amazing food. Honestly, I have never eaten worse meat in my life. The dessert was far too sweet, as if it had been store-bought. For a total of €110 (receipt attached), including three glasses of champagne, I found the price excessive given the quality of the food. €7 for a glass of prosecco is acceptable, but the food was simply terrible. To be honest, I’m not a chef, yet I can cook better myself. The portions were small which would have been fine if at least the food had been tasty, but it wasn’t. The only positive aspect was the wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant, but unfortunately, the food was awful. Sorry.

We had our wedding celebration in this restaurant. It was an incredibly nice experience, and everything went perfectly. It was a small celebration with only close friends and family, and the planning took us only two days, by exchanging only a couple of emails with the owner. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. The food was extraordinary! Some of the best pasta we've had in Italy, and the main dish (roasted crunchy piglet with wine sauce) was exquisite. For the service that we got, the price was more than reasonable. This place is forever among our favorites in Italy! Beautiful restaurant with beautiful people.

America Graffiti in Cesena is a vibrant dining spot that captures the essence of American burger culture right in Italy. The restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere adorned with nostalgic decor, making it an inviting place for both locals and visitors. Guests can enjoy a variety of delicious burgers alongside gluten-free options, which are particularly appreciated by families with dietary restrictions. While the food receives praise for its quality and flavor, some diners have noted that service could be improved to ensure drinks are refilled promptly.

I will for sure visit your establishment again next year. I'll keep my butt in my chair this time. 😁

It's not a fast food! It's a restaurant for burghers and meat. The best burgers in Cesena! The burghers are made with good quality meat and fresh vegetables. Really nice place for celebrate your birthday. The cakes are delicious! The people witch work there are really kind.

Helpful and friendly staff with an extensive and high quality gluten free menu, in addition to their normal menu which also has a huge selection. Hamburgers much better than McDonald's. Recommended!

Food is ok, nothing special. The meat platters are more italian than american. Service was slow, we had to wait quite a bit before they took our order and then again when we wanted to pay.

Restaurant
Ristorante Ca' ad Pancot is a hidden gem located just outside of Cesena, nestled in a charming old farmhouse that has been transformed into cozy dining spaces. While it may be slightly off the beaten path and not easily accessible from the city center, this delightful restaurant is well worth the journey—especially if you have a local's recommendation to guide you there. Upon arrival, guests are greeted warmly and seated promptly, even if there's a brief wait.
Great food, great location, great quality and fair prices. Hardly you can get more value out of your money. This is the food republic of Emilia Romagna 🥩🍝👨‍🍳

This is a wonderful place, though it can be a bit difficult to navigate and is somewhat far from the city center, so it’s best to get there with a recommendation from someone. Once we arrived, we were welcomed after a 10-minute wait (despite having a reservation) and promptly seated at a table where the menus were already provided. The menu offers a great selection of typical dishes, and I highly recommend starting with an antipasti to share, such as a few crostini like we did. For the main course, we shared a generous portion of pasta, followed by the coniglio in porchetta, which was incredibly tasty and exceeded our expectations. Instead of bread, they serve piadine at the table, but we had to ask three times for a basket since the restaurant was a bit busy. The waitress was nice, and the ambiance was great, making it a good spot for families and pets alike. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to experience the culinary delights of Romagna.

Outside of Cesena this great restaurant can be found. It is situated in an old farmhouse where stables and sheds have made room for cosy diningrooms. Excellent when you are with a group. Make a reservation! Local dishes, fresh pastas, choice of grappa's and amaro's to top off your dinner. Large portions so sharing would avoid throwing away excellent leftovers.

Brunch restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Cesena, CASAMADIE - Piazza del Popolo is a charming spot that invites you to indulge in delightful culinary experiences. Formerly known as "Pappa Reale," this cozy eatery focuses on bringing diverse flavors from Northern Europe, Australia, and America right to your plate. With an impressive array of vegan, vegetarian, omnivorous, and gluten-free options available, there's something for everyone.
The bakery is located in the very center of this small town. There is a wide variety of food, including options for vegetarians. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas, which is a big plus in case it’s raining outside. The price of breakfast per meal ranges from 1 to 10 euros. Best regards.

We visited this place today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We were seated at a bar table with the promise of being moved to a regular table as soon as one became available. However, when tables did become available, they were given to other guests, and we were completely ignored by the waiter. We didn’t even get eye contact, which felt disrespectful. Additionally, we were not given water, even though we saw others being served. It was unclear whether water needed to be ordered or if it was automatically provided with the meal. The food took about 40 minutes to arrive, which we would have appreciated knowing in advance, especially since the bar chairs were extremely uncomfortable with no back support. When the food finally arrived, it was bland, lacked seasoning, and felt boring. The prices were far too high for the quality offered, and it did not meet our expectations at all. The only positive aspect was the drinks. The lemonade and caramel latte were actually good and perhaps worth trying, but that’s not enough to make up for the rest of the experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Napizz Cesena is a delightful spot in the heart of Cesena, known for its mouthwatering pizzas that capture the essence of Italian cuisine. Diners rave about the variety on offer, from classic Margherita to more adventurous options like Diavola. While some have noted occasional service delays and minor mishaps with their orders, many agree that the flavors are worth it. The restaurant also offers takeaway and delivery services, making it convenient for those who prefer enjoying their meals at home.
We have been served from the boss of the restaurant! He recommended us the salmon tatar, which was amazing and later pizza! The salsiccia/Friorelli was amazing!!!! As dessert the panettone took me to heaven!!!!

We were so welcome at this place, the manager was super friendly and made us feel right at home . Food was great too. At the end he surprised us with a dessert written our names on it which was super delicious . Loved this place and the people working there. As a non Italian speaking tourist you can go there knowing you will be welcome.

Pizza Na Bufalina i Na Diavola. Cost with vine 29€, as for me, it could be cut or a better knife. tasty pizza, but when I asked for oil, the waitress poured my pizza on it without asking, I thought that she would put it on the table, but maybe that's how Italy prevails. minus the menu only available after scanning the QR code and there is no Wifi in the premises.
