Palazzo Buonaccorsi is an 18th-century noble house located in the heart of Macerata. Originally owned by the Buonaccorsi family, it is now property of the Municipality and houses a collection of ancient and modern art. The palace features opulent frescoes depicting scenes from the Aeneid, as well as a carriage museum.

This is a beautiful place to host any event such as a reception or a company party. The table setup was wonderful, there was plenty of space for people to sit comfortably and walk around, and the view on the balcony was breathtaking. I do believe there would be space for dancing, even with the tables. The food was also so delicious.

This exquisite building has been renovated in the best way to bring back the original value of its structure and decorations. The exhibitions in it are also extremely well curated.

A must-to-do in Macerata. The single pass gives you access to the 3-floor museum. The modern art collection of the 3rd floor gives a nice overview of the Italian modern art, with a selection of artists coming from Marche. Don't forget to pay a visit to the Galleria dell'Eneide (2nd floor).

Opulent works of art in expansive rooms, superbly kept and restored. Another must see if you are in Macerata.

Amazing place in the center of Macerata. I visited during Lotto exhibition and the palace is rich of art. The problem during this event was that in the weekend often there were a long queue and you haven't more time to visit both. Opening time is short and usually have the same hour of office. Macerata have to valorized this place.

Outstanding, private collection. Sadly, the compulsive guided tour was rushed and didn't leave enough time to admire the works of art. They also do not allow any photos to be taken.

(Translated by Google) Simply fantastic for those who love art!!! Free and full of internationally renowned authors. “A journey into the restless soul of the twentieth century” The Palazzo Ricci collection is not just a collection of works, but a visual narrative of 20th century Italy: a century of ruptures, revolutions and rewritings. Walking through the rooms you have the impression of leafing through an intimate and collective diary, where futurism runs alongside metaphysical silence, and rational geometries dialogue with shapeless matter. The artists exhibited do not seek to reassure, but to question. There is a constant tension between form and content, between what is visible and what is suggested. Don't miss it!!!

Sferisterio di Macerata is an enchanting open-air opera house that can accommodate up to 3,000 spectators. It is known for its grandeur and impressive Italian Baroque architecture. The arena, a 200-year-old building in the neo-classical style, resembles a Roman arena and hosts a popular opera festival each summer. Its acoustics are highly reputed, making it a fantastic venue for shows.
A very beautiful, impressive place for musical performances. The open-air theater is not particularly large, but offers a great backdrop. From all seats you have a good view of the stage and relatively direct contact with the artists

Attending a performance at the Sferisterio during the Macerata Opera Festival is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The unique open-air arena, with its impressive architecture and incredible acoustics, provides the perfect setting for world-class opera. The atmosphere is electric, and the blend of history, culture, and artistic excellence is unparalleled. The festival is beautifully organized, with a great variety of performances that cater to both opera enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The staff is welcoming, and the entire city of Macerata comes alive with the spirit of the festival. From the moment you arrive, you feel like you're part of something very special. I can't recommend this enough—whether you're an opera aficionado or just looking for a memorable cultural experience, the Sferisterio and the Macerata Opera Festival should be at the top of your list. Bravo to everyone involved!

We didn't experience an opera or concert. We visited it outside the opera season, so you can only see the interior. We expected to see more: backstage, balcony, loges, .... Still nice to visit because it's a great building. But experiencing an opera or concert must be breath taking. If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.

Fantastic old historic opera house in Macerata. We saw Carmen here last night and it was a serious treat. We were in box 35 and had a lovely view of the stage, sets and production. The opera house is magnificent. It has its quirks but still offers a wonderful time. The production was high quality and immensely entertaining. The air was warm and balmy. The town is lovely. Hard to fault a thing!

Amazing place for shows. Great acoustics, comfortable seats and beautiful lighting and decor.
Reuma N — Google review
Visited the building (no concert). For six euros you just get to see the inside of the arena, and a flashy edited movie which doesn't provide any in-depth info and history. In my opinion a big rip-off, this should be free like visiting a park. It's probably much nicer when there's a concert. Would've been nice to get on the roof for panoramic view.

An experience that will take your breath away! Superb location in the centro storico of Macerata with its century old, rich history. The performance of Carmen with the modern take of the old opera did not disappoint.

Since the changes in the management the sferisterio is on the way up. Last sezon was excellent. This season promise the same. Undoubtedly one of the world best open air opera festival. Only problem is the shape of the auditorium. You just have to bay central tickets, otherwise you spoil the pleasure.

The Torre Civica, also known as Torre Maggiore or Torre dell'Orologio, is a historic tower in Macerata dating back to 1492. Standing at 64 meters high, it features a complex astronomical clock with a single hand. Visitors can witness the daily procession of an angel and the three Wise Men at 12pm and 6pm.
Interesting astronomical clock amd its history. Noticed that there are only 5 planets and the earth was the centre of the universe as believed by the scholars during those times.

Simply an amazing restaurant. I've been eating here a couple of times a year for the past 10 years and was never disappointed. The menu is super fresh and made with local produce and the dishes are always very nicely presented. Extensive wine list (the owner is a sommelier), nice rustic decor and great music

This restaurant is one of it's kind. It's not a typical restaurant serving the typical dishes of Italy which include pasta alla carbonara and pasta amatriciana. the chef here has prepared a menu that is quite experimental and is composed of ingredients that you would not find in typical restaurants. Especially the menu for the main courses has rabbits and pigeons. So, if you are open to trying out new food and you want to view the Italian cuisine from a different perspective I think this is the place to be. However if you are looking for a typical Italian food which you have read about and looked at, I would suggest trying a different one. It is quite expensive but it is worth it.

Nestled just outside the historic center of Macerata, Braceria Tiffany may not catch your eye from the street, but step inside and you'll be greeted by a delightful ambiance that blends quirky charm with a shabby chic aesthetic. The interior is cozy, featuring a real flame burner that adds warmth to the space, especially during romantic seasons like Valentine's Day. As you settle in, attentive staff promptly serve you a platter of bruschetta while you peruse an impressive menu filled with delectable options.
Very good
Noreen A — Google review
Braceria Tiffany is in an unprepossessing part of Macerata and the building is extremely utilitarian. However, once inside, that is quickly forgotten. The decor is quirky and charming with a low tech, shabby chic look. It was warmed by a real flame burner in one corner and richly decorated for the Valentine's romantic season. The service was quick and we were brought a platter of bruschetta while deciding what to order. Our choice of appetiser was excellent - polenta with sausage and porcini mushrooms. I went on to the grilled lamb, which literally melted in the mouth. Unbeatable! Unfortunately, this arrived while I was finishing my polenta and the waitress snatched my plate away as I lifted my fork to my mouth - not correct service at all. My husband's mixed grill was not ready for some time after I'd been served, so I was forced to eat alone to avoid its chilling. He enjoyed his grill, and wasn't bothered that the pork rib arrived on a separate plate when he'd nearly finished. This service certainly needs sorting out! We asked for a large buffet of vegetables and were told that we could self serve from the selection in order to match our personal tastes, but in the event we were given a small plated selection without any consultation or explanation. The non-Italian waitresses undoubtedly tried to please and were very polite, but their lack of experience was a blight on the meal. The price was very reasonable for the high quality of the food and charming ambience. I would certainly return, but try to ensure a better understanding of the service I would expect.

The menu boasts a variety of delectable dishes, such as tagliatelle with goose, papardelle with duck, stuffed pigeon, and the remarkable faraona. A restaurant with excellent local food. We chose two antipasti dishes: Gnocchi and lasagna were both excellent. and two main courses: Grilled veal and oven-baked lamb chops with seasonal vegetables. Everything tasted absolutely perfect. The desserts were also excellent. We had tarmiso and strudel. I recommend the restaurant to everyone who comes to Macerta.

While this restaurant offers some amazing dishes, they are far from worth the high prices, as the portions are disappointingly small. The service is terrible—staff make inappropriate jokes about guests and even gossip with other patrons. To make matters worse, they served dishes we didn’t order and still added them to the bill. Overall, a very disappointing experience!
E K — Google review
We recently visited Da Rosa, and we must say, our experience left much to be desired. The issue was not the price, but the level of service and respect. First, a waiter with grey hair brought us two bottles of water when we only ordered one. Despite this, both bottles were charged on the bill. While waiting for our food, another waiter, bald this time, brought us plates of carpaccio that we had never ordered, claiming it was “something for us.” Later, we discovered that these dishes were also added to the bill, at €3 per plate. While the carpaccio itself was tasty, with a couple of pieces of rucola, I did not appreciate being manipulated like this. Finally, the wine situation was equally disappointing. We initially ordered a carafe of house wine and later decided to order some more the same house wine as we really liked it and ask a bald waiter two glasses would be enough, as a full carafe seemed too much. Instead of adjusting the order accordingly, the bald waiter poured wine into our glasses from a bottle and charged €5 per glass, when the entire carafe had been listed for just €6. We have no issue paying for what we consume, which we did, but we find this kind of service unacceptable. It’s manipulative, and frankly, beneath the standards of good hospitality. This behavior was disrespectful, and we left feeling frustrated rather than satisfied. We won’t be returning, as we expect better treatment from any establishment, no matter the cost.

a suppose to be vegetarian restaurant, serving meat and fish. Conceptually interesting with a healthy vegetarian theme but serving meat and fish along sushi. On their website the restaurant is advertised as vegetarian and healthy but there they are serving any sort of unhealthy dishes. On top of that the serving is bad, table are small and is overprice. Never again.

(Translated by Google) It is a nice restaurant, large, clean and bright, with a young atmosphere. It is located right in the center of Macerata, along the main street. Chairs and tables are made of sturdy metal and the equipment is practical but of a good standard. The napkins, for example, are made of tissue paper and seem quite resistant. I really enjoyed the sushi. The pizza was good, but thin and crunchy, not the Neapolitan kind, which is what I prefer. I would recommend this place especially as a restaurant, for other types of food. The service is fast and courteous. The foods we took were of excellent workmanship, excellent ingredients and beautiful presentation. A subsequent visit confirmed my excellent initial impression. This time I tried an exquisite Mantuan pumpkin flan with gorgonzola fondue and chocolate cake, equally good.

It is not the classic restaurant: the menu offers a very interesting format that allows you to choose between three types of courses - vegetarian, traditional (meat or fish) - and the formula of single dishes is truly a winner. The quality of the dishes is excellent, with well-selected ingredients and original but balanced flavor combinations. The location is welcoming and with attention to detail, perfect for those looking for a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere in the historic center. It is a place that knows how to combine tradition and modernity, with a touch of originality that makes it unique. The service was impeccable: the staff is kind, helpful and attentive to customer requests, without being intrusive. The quality-price ratio is also excellent, with prices absolutely average for the quality of the experience offered. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something different in Macerata, both for a quick lunch and a quiet dinner. I will definitely be back!

And I always try to alternate. The sushi is worth trying: tasty, tasty, delicate. The service? What to say! It's like being at home! Really congratulations and see you very soon!
