Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Seaquarium Institut Marin, located in Le Grau-du-Roi, is a family-friendly destination open year-round. Situated on the left bank of Grau du Roi in Petite Camargue, it's easily accessible with elevators for visitors with reduced mobility. The massive aquarium houses over 200 different marine species including sharks, turtles, seals, and sea lions. Visitors can enjoy unique and fascinating experiences observing these creatures in specially designed tanks while learning from caretakers' explanations and presentations.
Large aquarium with lots of different areas and break out rooms. We have been to aquariums all over but this one is very good with the variety of fish and sharks to see. The kids loved it, there is lots of toilets and lifts available throughout the whole experience. It took us around 1 hour and half to get around the whole tour followed by a gift shop and cafe at the end.

One of the best oceanariums I have visited in France. I think it’s pretty cozy and definitely can be an attractive touristic spot in summer.
Kirill M — Google review
Nice way to get out of the heat. But apparently everyone else in the entire south France has the same idea. Parking a car was not the easiest. Saw lots of fish. Some very large things. Some tiny things. The shop was good. WiFi didn't work.
Douglas S — Google review
It's a nice place to spend time with kids or anyone who's interested in underwater life. For 16€ for an adult, you can see sharks, rays, huge turtles, different fish, other sea creatures and seals. The place is full of information about sea life, endangered species, water pollution puzzles for curious minds. The day I visited the seaquarium, there was a quest for children : they got a task at the entrance and had to look for clues around the aquarium. So their time there wasn't just wondering around and watching fish. There's a parking next to it and a few places to eat. The photos I post can't show the real beauty of the place, so go and check it yourself 🤗

Very nice place to visit. Was quite packed, but it was a nice experience for us and our 16 months old
Peter S — Google review
Great Aquarium for a 2-hour visit! Plenty of activities for kids, clean and tidy aquariums. The fish look healthy and well taken care of. The entrance fees are reasonable for what you can see and do. There are some booths for pictures, an area where you can touch mini-sharks (highly recommended, really cool experience also for kids as they cannot bite). Overall a nice experience and time well spent! Really educative especially with regards to sensibilisation to waste in the oceans.
Jean-Pierre T — Google review
Nice and modern sea aquarium. We were there during end of season and some items were not in use or was being cleaned. Fair money for value. Staff friendly and helpful. Highlight is are the baby sharks wich can be touched. That was a stunning experience. Interesting story of the monk seal. Visit is worth it.

Water & Amusement Parks
Amigoland is a summer amusement park located in Le Grau-du-roi, offering thrill rides like a Ferris wheel and ghost train, as well as food vendors. It's a great place to have fun with friends and family, open during August and September. The park is conveniently situated near Seaquarium and other natural sights like Plage du Point Zero Public Beach.

Permanent amusmentpark for all ages, some nice atractions, good for a 2 hour visit or so
Marcel G — Google review
Just horrible. First of all THE ATM AT THE ENTRANCE HAS MORE THAN 12-15% COMMISSIONS without declaring anything, almost illegal in my opinion. Then generally the prices are very high, with a normal family and children I’d say you risk to spend at least 50-100€ without realising it. Very loud music, smokers everywhere, definitely not a good place for families! the small park near seaquarium way less pretentious and calmer. The only good thing the parking guy was very helpful and found us a spot in a very crowded parking lot
Federico C — Google review
Great fun fair with long rides. The splash is good. Great for kids.
Antonie S — Google review
Unfortunately the park was closed. The park is only opened in the summer months. You can only find this information on their Facebook page, its nowhere declared on Google or their website and also not in front of the park. We were devestated.

French restaurant
Restaurant Le Galion is a charming venue with quayside seating that offers top quality cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere. It's perfect for enjoying classic French dishes, especially seafood platters and bouillabaisse stew. While it may not be cheap, the fresh fish and food, along with the French recipes, make it worth the price. The restaurant provides menus of 3 or 4 dishes and serves water and bread at no charge.
It is not a cheap place, but it is worth the price. You have all fresh fish and food, French recipes, menus of 3 or 4 dishes. You will be really satisfied after your dinner. Take 2 hours time, start with a little cocktail, choose a good rose wine to your fish, and just enjoy your meal. Water and bread will be served for no charge.

Great experience overall with friendly staff. The regular and gratin oysters mix is a must-have as starter and the bouillabaisse was was stuffed with plenty of fresh tasty fish. We booked the table for lunch and the place was packed so we recommend anyone to book 1 day in advance.

We went there based on the good reviews but the food was disappointing. The waiter was very nice but i give 1 star for the bad food. I took some marinated muscles, which were basically boiled muscles with a bit of cream sauce on the top, far from marinated.. My boyfriend took a type of fish that was tasteless too. I don't recommend it.
Daniela P — Google review
Disgusting place. There's sand in the gamba's and the mussels were cold. Don't go there unless you like to be poisened. The good reviews seem to be fake.

Nestled along the picturesque port, Le Palangre offers a charming dining experience with its exposed stone walls and stunning views of the bay. On sunny days, guests can enjoy their meals on the terrace by the water, where they can watch fishing boats gently bobbing nearby. The inviting atmosphere is perfect for those looking to indulge in delicious seafood dishes that highlight local flavors.
My family arrived after the kitchen had just closed and the staff very kindly kept the kitchen open for us. The lady who served us was so lovely, honestly the best service I can ever remember having and the food was also fantastic! Would definitely recommend!!

A Mediterranean Gem on the Canal – Exceptional Experience at Le Palangre Le Palangre is a true delight, perfectly located on the edge of the canal in Le Grau-du-Roi. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the food is outstanding, and the ingredients are undeniably fresh. Their menu offers a delicious selection of Mediterranean dishes, with seafood as the undisputed star — each plate full of flavor and beautifully presented. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, with great options to pair with the meal. The service was impeccable throughout our visit, thanks in particular to Nolan, whose kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made our evening special. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. A personal highlight: I was kindly invited into the kitchen, where I had the pleasure of meeting the incredible team behind the scenes, including talented chefs from Venezuela (Valencia and San Cristóbal) — a wonderful and passionate crew! A top-tier dining experience. Highly recommended!

(Translated by Google) What a pleasure not to have ended up in a tourist trap this summer during our vacation in Grau-du-Roi. There were six of us, and we ate really well. It was a delight from start to finish. Honestly, it's really nice to see that there are still restaurants that know how to cook. Thank you to the chef who delighted us, and we look forward to another visit. (Original) Quel plaisir de ne pas être tombé dans un attrape touristique cet été pendant nos vacances au grau du roi. (Translated by Google) The Midi is synonymous with summer, the chirping of cicadas, and tree-lined avenues and squares where, under the shade of centuries-old plane trees, people share food, a refreshing rosé or draft beer, and sip a kir or classic pastis. Last July in Lunel for the traditional feria, in the splendid arena, we chose to make a short detour for lunch by the sea in the charming town of Grau du Roi! For us fans of the great Nobel Prize-winning writer Ernest Hemingway, it takes us back to our youthful readings of his beautiful posthumous work "The Gardens of Eden," of his holidays in this magical corner of the south with its many Andalusian influences, of wild sea bass caught and cooked, of his evenings at the Impéré in Nîmes—and it's wonderful to still find much of that atmosphere. For us, Grau-du-Roi has retained its true soul as a Provençal seaside village. It has grown, and has lost its postcard-perfect characters, the pétanque players, but we have changed too. While the bistros lack the classic jar of spicy mustard to spread on a baguette, while Pastis is a favorite with a glass of cool rosé, and the sunburned faces with a Galoise between their fingers have disappeared, many other things have remained intact. The shellfish shops, the tables under the centuries-old trees that shelter from the hot Midi sun. The blue sky, the serenity of the southern people. Lots of restaurants along the seafront and the canal that leads to the port. We are struck by this charming place, with tables practically in the canal water, and an appealing menu that includes the classic and delicious fish soup with crostini and rouille, and the sea bass that takes us back to the literature cited in the introduction. The service is perfect: smiling, helpful, attentive, and friendly. The dishes arrive on time, and the refreshing rosé is fantastic, fragrant, and perfectly complements the dishes. Finally, a refreshing cassis sorbet caps off a delicious lunch. The price is truly fair, considering the ambiance, service, quality of the dishes, the lightness of the food, and the friendliness of the staff. We're delighted; we have tickets in the right places to see Olga Casado in her first performance in France and our Idolo Castella, celebrating 25 years of alternative music, along with Talavante, the great extremaduran, and Lea Vicens, the star of the rejonadores. We're certain it will be an afternoon full of emotions, and the excellent lunch is a wonderful prelude to a good start in the authentic spirit of the Fiesta. Thanks to all the staff at the highly recommended restaurant. We hope to repeat this wonderful experience next year.

What an amazing find! We had two weeks in France and this had to be one, if not, the best meal we had. I was a little unsure when booking, but wow, so glad we did. A little gem of a restaurant. Great fish fishes - simply cooked but with flair. We ate here yesterday evening and had the soupe de poissons, fish of the day ( red mullet ) and the octopus with aioli and potatoes. All fabulous. Wines by the glass or pichet as well as bottle. Service was excellent - welcoming ( with free aperitifs ) and attentive but not overly so. Excellent value for such a high standard of cooking.

What a cute, amazing place! We wanted coffees and other places wouldn’t serve us “just” coffee or were instantly unfriendly. But this place was so welcoming, friendly and even gave us a free homemade little sweet with our coffee! If we had more time here, we would for sure come back for dinner! (Translated by Google) I don't often get the chance to praise the restaurants I eat in, but this time I'm delighted to bring out the superlatives! Aigues-Mortes is the place where you expect to be taken for a tourist... and yet! Okay, let's set the tone: the €36 menu is not cheap, but you won't regret it because something is happening in the kitchen here. Something quite simple, but frank and generous with that little touch of originality that makes you feel happy: happy to be there and to have chosen this restaurant. Tastefully crafted flavors and presentations, without a false note from the appetizer snacks to the dessert (special mention for the homemade creation presented in half a Victoria pineapple). Limited menu but choices allowing all tastes to find what they're looking for. Friendly welcome & attentive service. Pleasant and quiet setting. Short wine list but good choices and at reasonable prices. Complete formula for the youngest at 16€. Not only recommended but in my opinion almost essential. PS: if this review was useful to you then thank you for a little like, not to satisfy my oversized ego... but just to let me know ;-)!

Best fish restaurant and lovely service! We made reservations beforehand and luckily because the restaurant was fully booked when we arrived. We ate the menu with the fish of the day and it was beyond our expectations! For starters we had the crevettes and it was such a big plate and pretty much the best we ever had. The fish soup was also very nice. The fish was super fresh and presented with a delicious sauce and warm vegetables. Desserts were beautifully presented and also very delicious. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. The food is mouth-watering and cooked to perfection! The wine is absolutely devine, and the service is warm and inviting.
