Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Gourmet Restaurant Stüva, located in Gasthof Yscla, is a top-rated dining spot in Ischgl. The restaurant is known for its modern and bold menus created by the talented chef Benjamin Parth, who was named Gault & Millau Chef of the Year 2019. The dishes feature a combination of fish and seafood with Tyrolean cuisine, offering intense flavors that are sure to impress diners.
Our trip consisted in skiing and fine dining. I’m glad we came here in the last days. In my opiniin this restaurant is the best in Iscghl. The food, the service, as well as the Austrian wines were perfect. Thank you for this wonderfull experience.

We had dinner in Stüva recently and whilst we had a pleasant evening with nice food and wine, expectations were not fully met. The restaurant has won many awards, is one of eight restaurants in Austria that are awarded 19 points (5 toques) at Gault Millau - I’ve visited most; Michelin currently only rates Austrian restaurants in Salzburg and Vienna. I’ve been in Stüva before in December 2015 and March 2016. As to the dining experience, it was a relatively quiet evening in Stüva with less than six guests. We opted for a full seven course menu. The amuse bouches were very nice, the second one, char with gentian foam, is a classic of chef Benjamin Parth. Next were the starters: goose liver with passion fruit and pepper was very nice, but the passion fruit overpowered the goose liver. The next starter, a prawn with chutney and curry was excellent, but the curry was too salty for our taste buds (this is a recurring criticism of the otherwise excellent sauces). Next was our fish dish, halibut with lobster and caviar, again excellent product quality, but too much salt. In swapped order (as agreed before) came our last starter: sole with truffle - clearly the best dish of the meal, albeit also here the sauce a bit salty (that every sauce is presented as foam does not help either). Next was our meat dish (the only meat option of the menu: poularde with yuzu, morel and asparagus. The morel was an inedible salt sponge, asparagus and the sauce were far too salty too. The dish was returned to the kitchen and at second try, the morel was tasteless, asparagus and the sauce were still far too salty. The meat was OK, but not of comparable quality to the seafood of courses before. Next was a fine selection of cheeses from Bernard Antony. These were followed by a very nice pre-dessert with strawberry, rhubarb and vanilla. The desserts were unremarkable: a small cake with saffron and apple and a chocolate that tasted only of chocolate, overpowering the pistachio and lime that were only visible but could not be tasted. All in all, the meal was nice (except for the meat course). Service was friendly and personal, certainly a big plus. Criticism regarding saltiness was handled well and (I agree) to a certain extent is a matter of personal preference. The wine list is great and has an excellent selection of Austrian and international wines. Price of the menu (without drinks) was 243 EUR (including 9 EUR cover charge). A wine pairing is available (and was served at a table next ours, it did look appealing and well chosen for the dishes). We opted for a glass of house champagne (25 EUR each), a bottle of Austrian Chardonnay (Velich Darscho 2009, 111 EUR), a glass of Pinot Noir (Fritsch, “P” 2019) and a small bottle of Kracher Nr. 4 Zwischen den Seen Muskat Ottonel TBA 1999, 113 EUR).

Disappointing, non-hygienic, pompous and overpriced. 4 people with food poisoning, dirty silverware, condescending server, sneaky pricing and boring food - this is a quick summary of our experience. I gave two stars out of respect to the hotel, and the Festive Atmosphere that was created in front. Purely for the restaurant, it will be one star. This is definitely NOT a Michelin star level place. It was not difficult to make reservation. We had large group with kids. Hotel told us about chefs 7 course wine pairing tasting menu for adults and separate menu for the kids. First Surprise was dirty and greasy silverware. They did not have food for children and they ordered their food from the next door. Kids ordered five steaks, and all of them were cold, chewy and tasteless. We were surprised that kids did not want to eat them but once we tried them, we agreed. Foie Gras pate was very good. It went very well with Riesling, which we loved. Picture is included below. That was the only positive thing from the evening. The rest of the dishes were seafood and one chicken. No meat. The chef is a fan of frothy base, making most of the dishes taste and look pretty much the same. There was no presentation of food either. We had to constantly ask what we’re eating because it was not really clear. One of the dishes was served on a spoon, which was placed straight on the table right after it was wiped with a rag. That was a bit gross, and definitely not hygienic. I would expect at least a clean napkin, or a small plate, knowing that the spoon most likely wind in the mouth. If I were to guess, that would be a potential source for food poisoning we experienced. Fortunately, most of unfortunates were doctors and had antibiotics available. It took about 2 days. Sommelier was pleasant and funny but somehow he forgot to tell us that Champagne in the beginning and the drinks afterwards were not included. Because we had a tasting Event, and there were no menus, would expect any extras to be presented. The cost of menu was about €300 per adult and €73 per child. In addition to that, they charged us €300 for champagne and €20 per after drink with total about €450 per adult. I would like to mention one more thing. The waitress was wearing a white glove on one hand, which is fine, except I saw her coughing into it in the back galley. Also every time she served food and lean over, her hair would end up on your face, not just close, but actually on your face. I think wearing ponytail would be preferable and definitely more hygienic. You may agree or disagree with our perception of food or pricing. However, until they figure out their hygiene, this place should not be on your list.

We arrived in Ischgl from NYC to ski and celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and after looking around at restaurant options decided this one looked interesting and unique enough for a celebratory dinner. We have eaten at many top restaurants around the world, so maybe our expectations were too high, but we thought the meal was just ok. The service was great and the atmosphere is high-end and a bit stuffy even which is fine. However, the food is expensive for what it is and the focus seems to be primarily on presentation vs. taste. We could honestly say out of the multiple dishes we tried, only the pigeon pie was somewhat memorable in taste and had a good balance of flavors. The chocolate cake dessert was good too. The rest of the dishes, however, lacked in flavor and seemed to have an abundance of truffles to cover it up. Literally half of the dishes we had tasted like truffle, which doesn’t seem very creative given what we’ve read about the chef and the restaurant. I also didn’t love the offers of drinks before the meal via a cart of options and no mention of prices. When you’re offering a drink that costs 20+ euro each, cost should be mentioned. This is especially confusing given that several small dishes are served at the same time as complimentary amuse bouches. All in all, we had a nice time but felt the meal wasn’t worth the just under 300 euro price tag for 2 people (5 dishes, 2 drinks and an average bottle of wine.)

Simply fantastic! 8 courses and each of them was heaven on earth! Highly recommend the beef! Never eaten such an amazing steak (and I’m pescatarian!!)

Excellent food and wonderful service. The food was superb - we opted for the surprise tasting menu. The fish dishes were some of the best we have eaten anywhere in the world. Wine pairing was imaginative with plenty of unique local wines. Deserves the accolades it has received. Thank you for a special evening.

Difficult to put into words but let me try: The restaurant is well designed yet extremely hot. The temperature appears to not regulate well. The food was very average, the seafood was quite nice but the meat (lamb and beef) not edible - I struggled finding meat amongst all the fat. Staff (waiter was great) but Rest unorganised. I asked for a menu twice before seeing it. When asked about wine pairing I couldn’t even be told the price and was told it depends how much you drink!? So then the tasting menu (food) should be free as I didn’t eat much, following the same logic!? It was a big regret and shocking experience. Couldn’t wait to get out and have a pizza down the road. When paying I was confronted by the owner who decided to argue whether the meat was fatty or not, it was completely arrogant behaviour, something I’ve never experienced. Avoid at all cost, also see hotel reviews where people commented on restaurant negatively and were threatened with legal action! What kind of place is this!?

When you find yourself in Ischgl, make sure to indulge in a culinary experience at Lucy Wang. This exquisite sushi restaurant has gained international acclaim for its innovative Japanese cuisine infused with an Alpine flair. Nestled conveniently next to the cable car station, dining here promises not just a meal but a glamorous evening surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Sushi enthusiasts will be delighted by the unique and delicious menu that features exciting creations alongside fresh seafood and even French delicacies like foie gras.
Truly an amazing experience! I ordered all the vegan options from the menu and took the leftovers to go. Every dish was absolutely delicious, and the presentation felt so luxurious. I might never want edamame without black truffle again... The wine by the glass was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy yet exciting, making it perfect for date nights, group outings, or even a solo treat. Whether you’re starting your night out or ending your day on a high note, this is the place to be. The service was outstanding as well—thank you for making my visit so special. I’ll definitely be back very soon!

The restaurant is very cozy. Everything was good. But the desert bento is toooooo large and we can hardly finish that. I guess it should be enough for 4-6 people.

Great experience . Some said Miso soup was best ever tasted . Fresh Sushi and nice starters . Deserts were very good and the happy birthday song was a great finish to the evening

The place is very nice. Dark ambient. Classy. The service is very efficient and quick. But the food was mediocre. We ate 2 different sashimi and gyoza and some rice. It was all too simple and lacking taste and didn't feel very fresh. Plus, it was super expensive for what we got.

Wonderful evening at Lucy Wang in Ischgl! We enjoyed a delightful dinner with excellent sushi and sashimi. Even those who aren’t into sushi will find a great variety of other delicious dishes. The service was friendly and professional, with a well-timed, tasteful sense of humor. Truly a must-visit for a culinary night out in Ischgl!

Definitely the best resturant I been to in Ischgl, it's a gourmet restaurant, very delicious food, expensive but worth every penny. They have real Japanese wagyu meat. I will recommend the black cod main dish, it was just delicious!

Quality of the food is top grade, the waitress had patience and good recommendations. The cocktails are great! But the prices are very high, while the portion sizes are quite small.

Good food, attentive waiters and great vibe. Price is fair. The burger bun was a bit too dry (not crispy) for my taste, but I guess that’s a matter of personal preference.

Please stay away. Made reservasion 2 time. O sorry problem with system. All tables full. Blabla. Went with 2 people instead of 4. We were accepted, bad service. Waited very long for starter and even more for main. Excuses all the time.

As an italian, i often avoid ordering italian food abroad, but i really could not resist when I saw the pappardelle al cinghiale. The beef and salmon tartares matched our expectations, but the pappardelle were really something out of this world… better than some I had in Tuscany myself. On top of that, the service was superb, a great attention to detail and care for the guest. Prices are in line with the quality of the service. Also good job for the wine card, a lot of variety for all the different tastes. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you come to ischgl you should definitely pay a visit here!

It's a great spot for meat lovers. The Tom Jam here is a European twist, featuring noodles instead of rice. And, I must say, the service is outstanding.

Great food and service. Extraordinary wine selection but with high prices. Normal wine starts around 35 euro per bottle. The food is more expensive than average, but is was really good. All dishes were tastefully prepared. Dessert was delicious as well.

Authentic chalet, special decorations , warm and cozy, even better when snowing outside … food was nice, local and jnternational dishes. Fresh and generous portions .

Well, lets start from positive aspects. Portions are really big and the whole vibe of this place is lovely. However, we didnt order the starters (bread with creme) at all (7euro). Additionally, we requested salad without rucola and finally…it was full of it. Last but not least, beers should be 0.2 but they gave us 0.3 with higher price (6vs4 eur)
Rafalrydz — Google review
Very good food. However, they charged us 3.5€ per person for use of the napkins. It is said it is mandatory but honestly it is just taking advantage of us. Wouldn’t recommend just because of that, but the food is good. And they had gluten free options.

We arrived for dinner, after hearing about the place's ribs. As soon as we sat down, we were told there were no ribs. We waited over an hour for the dishes that arrived cold. We received dry bread after 40 minutes from arrival, without butter or any sauce. We asked twice from the waiters but did not receive. In the end we were charged 3.5 euros per diner for the dry bread and the lack of service.

Terrible experience. Poor service. Nobody cares. We booked a table a month in advance, yet on arrival, we were squeezed into a spot so tight we couldn’t fit. The manager’s response? “We’re fully booked” (basically, take it or leave it) and suggested we sit next to each other instead of facing each other. Uncomfortable, but we stayed because we were hungry. We ordered their signature dish—sold out by 20:05. Fine, we went for steaks (one of the most expensive items on the menu). It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive. At 50 minutes, the waiter even asked how our food was—except we hadn’t received anything! No apology, just excuses. When we asked for the manager, we were told he’d only talk to us at the end of the night. The steaks? Overcooked and mediocre. Worse, we were misled about the pricing—unlike other mains, the sides weren’t included, though the waiter made it seem otherwise. €39 for a steak without a side? Shady. The manager’s response? “You’re on holiday, so you can wait.” No apology, no accountability. When I mentioned leaving a review, he still didn’t care. So here it is. Huge disappointment, especially as a loyal customer. They act like they’re the only dining option in Ischgl—trust me, they’re not.

A nice local pub restaurant. We ate a nice dinner. Some dishes pretented to be michelin dishes...but basically its a local place. Great for apres ski and eating local dishes. Service is nice and atmosphere is right what u expect...like a hunting cabin. A little too pricy
