Nestled in the charming coastal town of Stintino, Coccodrillus Pizza Restaurant is a delightful culinary haven that offers an array of Sardinian seafood, pasta, and pizza. With stunning sea views and a relaxed atmosphere, this eatery invites guests to savor its diverse Mediterranean menu. Diners rave about the fresh sea bass tartare paired with mango and passion fruit, as well as the delectable seafood risotto.
This place is great! Ate here two nights in a row because the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. All of the staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend them!

I recommend you to have a nice pizza with a sea view.🏖🌞🍕friendly and respectful staff. A tip of 2.5 euros per person is automatically collected at the cash register.

Fantastic views and equally amazing foods. Perfect pizzas and local dishes. The pizza’s are excellent, as are the other dishes. The Seafood 🦞 Risotto was very good, we tried this on one of our numerous visits here. It’s a great place to relax and try various local dishes. Well worth a visit ( or two ). Great staff and most welcoming owners.

Food was good. Service was ok. Not cheap but good view.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coccodrillus Pizza-restaurant in the charming coastal town of Isola Rossa. Here’s my experience: Location and Atmosphere: The restaurant is situated right next to the beach. The outdoor seating area is surrounded by tamarisk trees, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. It’s a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Multilingual Service: The staff at Coccodrillus were attentive and efficient. They provided multilingual service, which made communication easy for visitors from different backgrounds. Pizza Selection: I tried two pizzas during my visit: the Pizza Frutti di Mare and the Pizza Gallurese. The Pizza Frutti di Mare was topped with a delightful mix of deepfrozen seafood, including shrimp, mussels, and calamari. The flavors were well-balanced, and the crust was thin and crispy. The Pizza Gallurese, a local specialty, featured a combination of cured meats, cheese, and aromatic herbs. It was hearty and satisfying. Quality and Price: The pizzas were of regular quality, neither exceptional nor disappointing. Considering the location and the overall experience, the prices were reasonable. Overall Impression: Coccodrillus is like a fabric and potentially pleasant place for families with children. While the pizzas didn’t blow me away, the picturesque setting and friendly service made up for it.

We ate several times at this place and there's no bad thing in the menu. They even go above and beyond and make you stuff that's not on the menu. Staff also very friendly and customer centric. Definitely a place to eat.

Had a supremely disappointing dinner experience. The waiters seemed harrassed and confused, The place seemed more like a *factory than a restaurant. The seafood pastas were so depressing tastewise that I actually was brought to tears. Hideously overpriced also. It seemed lacklustre and half hearted. My own fault for ordering something other than pizza, which the kids assured me were good. Couldnt finish the food unfortunately, or the house wine.Go elsewhere if you want anything other than pizza.

This restaurant have a great food with beautiful view. The space outside is very nice under the tree. Good for kids too with a little playground. I had a pizza seafood, was delicious. The staff was very friendly and good service. In the night have live music too. I really recommend this place.

Nestled in a charming locale, Trattoria da Paolino is the epitome of authentic Italian dining. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly service, this eatery draws in locals who appreciate the genuine flavors of traditional cuisine. The menu features hearty dishes that are not only delicious but also generously portioned, ensuring you leave satisfied. Whether you're indulging in succulent pasta or savoring their famous suckling pig, each bite reflects a passion for quality cooking.
Absolutely incredible – I recommend it 100%! A truly authentic Italian restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service is fantastic – quick, friendly, and attentive. The place is filled with locals, which says it all. The dishes are traditional, bursting with flavor, and prepared with love. A special bonus for food lovers: you can even ask for seconds! Prices are extremely reasonable considering the outstanding quality and generous portions. I will gladly come back without hesitation. This has been my favorite spot during my 10 days in Sardinia. Don’t think twice – go with your eyes closed!

Just horrible! From the first step we walked in. Personnel didnt even bothered to say helllo. We took their menu as realised its too late to else and it continued same way. We waited and waited and waited. They only served locals fast… The pasta was ridiculous, canned tomatos and dry pasta, main course was some kind of pig part, lopked horrifying. It came with couple of slices of tomatoes, so sad. Dessert was old cookie dry like sand. Just dont go.

The atmosphere, sublime. Working since 1920, the food is as good as ever, with local Sardinian dishes that delighted us one after the other. We ordered the fixed menu (excellent, superb! price/quality ratio, at 35€ with wine and water, starter, 2 1st dishes, main course, sweets, spirits, and coffee), going through typical pasta, ravioli, and piglet done in traditional fashion. The staff was super friendly and kind, with good feelings and great vibes across the room. Would return for sure, and would rate 10/5 if I could!

There are many places with high ratings here but this place actually is yummy and pleasant. The food was good I was able to try a little of all my friends’ The zupa pasta was really yummy, the steak was well cooked and seasoned. The lemon cheese ravioli was really yummy

Very authentic, hidden gem located in the pretty center of a small village. Felt more like eating in someones kitchen than in a restaurant. Typical dishes are freshly prepared and worth the wait. Great value.

Loved the experience here. Local food, drinks - everything was amazing. Tried ravioli and piglet.
Erikas T — Google review
Cheap and bad food, service just as poor; it’s the first time I can’t eat what I ordered at a restaurant: meat excessively fried, partly burnt, tasting like old frozen meat, I even had the impression it had already been served before and reheated; pasta cooked plainly without any taste. And they only have 4–5 dishes, and all of them are just as bad.
D C — Google review
Quaint little place - we sat outside, ordered the set menu for lunch. Don’t expect fancy - but a solid well cooked meal - enormous meal size - we had to roll out of there. Sliced meat, pasta, ravioli, Suckling pig, cake, grappa … all good! €38 for the menu incl. wine, water, avec - unbeatable!

La Cala is truly a hidden treasure, nestled on a hill overlooking the stunning Cala Sarraina. This charming spot offers breathtaking sunset views that are simply unforgettable. With a spacious terrace accommodating around 70 guests, it's best to request an outdoor table for the full experience. The menu features delightful seafood starters like mixed seafood salad and mussels, all sourced fresh from the sea and served in generous portions. Diners rave about the fish of the day, which is not only fresh but also expertly prepared.
La Cala is a hidden gem. Perched on a hill above the Cala Sarraina, this place has the best sunset views on the island. The huge terrace seats around 70 people but definitely ask for a table on the open terrace. The seafood starters are incredible, the mixed seafood salad, the potatoes with octopus, the mussels are all straight from the sea and served in generous portions. The fish of the day is a great deal too, super fresh it was cooked to perfection. The service is very attentive and the owners charming and meticulous. We loved everything about the place

Nice food, great views, normal price. Perfect for a romsntic dinner at sunset!

Great food, decently priced with a beautiful sea view. Staff were very helpful and lovely, we arrived before restaurant opening and we were allowed to sit outside and enjoy the sun with a coffee while we waited.
Kate O — Google review
We entered an empty restaurant and were sat in the main restaurant above the terrace with views, we asked if we could dine on the terrace but were curtly told no. I ordered a spaghetti rizzi which when it arrived seemed to have no sauce or seafood at all, a small plate of Spaghetti for which they charged 20 euros. Without touching it I complained and was met with da defensive response from an arrogant waiter who spoke little English. I spoke to the waitress who did speak English, she was professional friendly and sympathetic. I asked to speak to the owner so so could give him feedback but he refused to allow the waitress to act as an interpreter. He was not interested saying we were the problem. In the end I explained we would not eat the food as it was substandard, we paid for our drinks and left. This seriously lets down the reputation of catering in the area. Judging by the reviews we are by no means the only ones to have issues with this establishment and the proportion of 1 star reviews to the total tells its own story, hopefully the owner will sell up and move on because if he does not his business cannot survive treating its customers they way it does.

Great view, great seafood, authentic feel. Our experience was top notch. Casual and simple food but delicious.

Great place with a beautiful sea view! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not everyone spoke english but was trying to communicate as best they could and very patient when trying to explain or translate a dish. The food was absolutely delicious we had dishes from the sea menu which were amazing. Very fresh and with amazing taste. I highly recommend!! :))

Ristorante Pizzeria La Torre in Isola Rossa has been visited multiple times by the reviewer and they thoroughly enjoyed the pasta, particularly the Carbonara di Mare. The location of the restaurant is pleasant and the staff is friendly. It comes highly recommended for those staying in Isola Rossa. However, there were a couple of negative aspects mentioned, such as one waiter not washing his hands after using the bathroom and a persistent smell of cigars at the entrance.
Great service and wonderful food. A warm welcome at the door and wonderful fish and pasta dishes with fantastic local wine. An attentive and caring hosts with some tasty and fresh dishes. Well worth a visit when in Issola Rossa.

We had a really good experience here, much better than expected—I’m glad we didn’t let the negative reviews put us off. We tried the fish of the day, pasta with beef ragout, a pizza, and some desserts, and everything was tasty and well done. The restaurant has a great vibe—stylish but relaxed—with a lovely view over the marina. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. Overall, a great spot for a nice meal out. We’d definitely come back!

The best meal we have had in Sardinia yet. So fresh, delicious and beautifully made. A definite highlight of our holiday so far!!

We only went into this restaurant because of Rico out front. The lovable barky dog enamored us after we gave him some pets and he gave us some nibbles. The food was ok. Tiramisu was average. Views were great seated by the window. Staff spoke English well. There was a cover charge at this restaurant which we didn't know about until we got the bill. 10€ for the 4 of us.

Amazing food, service and views. Personally it’s my favorite restaurant in Isla Rossa. I think it deserves 4.8 stars. This is my second year coming here.

Advantage of the place is well located with a nice view of the beach. Unfortunetly chairs are uncomfortable. The food is so so. It is tasty but not as per menu.
Hubert P — Google review
Slow service, during low season even. Prices a little high for Italy, even on the coast. Looks like prices have gone up since the last menu posting as our menu was two-three euro more expensive than what is pictured here. Charged two euros per person to sit outside, even though we asked to sit inside but were told no bc there was only one server. No oil and salt for bread, nor extra plates for food sharing. Food was ok, but still not a place to go if you can help it.

Waitress seemed almost annoyed to have us and had zero effort in everything she did. The pizzas were probably the worst I've had in Italy if not ever. Very dougy especially around the edges and the fillings (buffalo mozzarella and iceberg lettuce (?!)) tasted absolutely nothing. The wine was super poor as well. Avoid at all costs even though the place seems busy.
John N — Google review
Low quality food and the portions size were really small. I definitely don’t recommend this place. If you don’t have a choice at least don’t order the fried calamari because you will have just 4/5 pieces for 15 euros. We told them we were not satisfied about the quantity and we had nothing but a “sorry”. The wine arrived in our table already open in a scratched bottle and we paid for the bottle like if it was new.

AVOID SPINNAKER!!! EVITA SPINNAKER!!! SPINNAKER BLOSS NICHT! Waited 40 Minutes for a cold starter consisting of salume, formaggio and pane - should have leaved - it was a sign. Did not get any better. My wife ordered Pasta Salmone: we are making holidays in Italy from Northern Adria to Roma and Puglia since more than 20 years. Never ever eaten such a bad pasta salmone in 20 YEARS! No taste nothing. If a cook shows a 13 year old kid once how to cook it - it most probably produces a better tasting dish with the first attempt. So I cannot imagine that any of the other pasta can be better. I ordered fritto misto di mare. You virtually cannot make it wrong. That was my luck, it was nothing special, but hunger is the best cook, so it was eatable. Pizza I cannot tell - many people ordered it. Who knows if they come again ... we certainly won’t. This restaurant stole one holiday dinner evening. I don’t care about the lost money, but for the lost opportunity to have a good dinner experience. Waitresses are surely nice persons in private life, however service itself as well at best mediocre in general what I saw during the 40 minutes waiting for the starter 🤦‍♂️ Waitress forgot it to serve, so in our special case 1* but okay that can happen ... if at least the quality would have made up for it. AVOID SPINNAKER!!!

We ate during the carnival - they were rushed and coped admirably. Came a second time (the meat feast pizza drew us back). It's OK, not the worst place in the town. Good seats and location.
Andy N — Google review
Only place open in Isola Rossa in the off season. 15 minutes to get the wine we ordered and it was a glass, not 2x 0.25 carafes as asked. Box wine? Stale local "crispy" bread, not edible. Ravioli ricotta were okay! But not really a Sardinian tradition? Somehow I expected something different from Metro standard pasta, based on the menu explanation. The scallopine al limone was (near as we could determine) not veal, maybe turkey?, In fact it wasn't specified on the menu. Sauce tasted like Knorr or Maggi powdered mix. At the end my wife ran to the supermarket as it closed to get cookies and a bottle of wine for home. Waiter was, however, pleasant. TL;DR: should've followed my instincts and read Google reviews first. Then we would have implemented Plan B and cooked in the apartment. :-(
