Restaurant
Tricana Carcavelos has quickly established itself as a must-visit spot since its transformation in 2022, thanks to the collaboration between Edgar Nozes and Jose Alves Ribeiro. This beach bar boasts an extensive menu that caters to all tastes, featuring everything from pokes and burgers to wraps, salads, and delightful Portuguese snacks. The atmosphere is inviting, blending tradition with a modern twist.
So, so, so good! My girlfriend had the clams with a banana smoothie and gave her meal a solid 10/10. I had the ham and cheese toastie with French fries and a strawberry smoothie, absolutely delicious. The toastie was perfectly done, the fries were seasoned beautifully, and the smoothie was tasty (though I personally would have liked it a little colder). Service was excellent as well. the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful

Tricana da Barra is somewhat a gem in this area. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a perfect balance of tradition and creativity. The food was fresh and quite favorable. This time we tried their burgers which were nice.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices and delicious food. Most importantly, every order came so fast.

Obsessed with the Salmon Poke Bowl! The views right from the water are stunning ! I had this meal daily because it was perfect . Love love love it! I am thinking about it now even as I wrote this!

Amazing sparkling sangria! We ordered a pina colada (avoid at all costs) and didn’t enjoy it and the service was extremely fantastic and supportive for our situation. We ended up getting the pitcher of sparkling sangria and wow! The manager and older male employee were so sweet, would recommend this place :)

I visited your restaurant on Thursday for lunch by myself. The young lady who seated me was very polite, but unfortunately my experience was let down by the behaviour of one of your staff members (tanned, black hair, red t-shirt). While serving another table, he repeatedly looked at me in an unfriendly manner and ignored me, even though it was clear I had not yet been served. After almost 10 minutes, another staff member finally attended to me. The food itself was excellent and I have no complaints there. However, when it came time to pay, this same waiter was the only one nearby. I asked for the bill, but he ignored me until he returned two minutes later. When I tapped my card, he did not ask if I wanted to pay in Euros or Pounds he simply selected Euros without asking. This is not acceptable practice, and when I raised it with him, it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. I have been coming to your restaurant every summer and have always enjoyed it. This is my first bad experience, but the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy shown by this staff member was very disappointing. I even spoke to him in Portuguese, so there was no language barrier this was simply poor manners and a lack of respect. Reply to the owner of the business: I definitely do not have the wrong place, the lady that seated me she was wearing a black tshirt. I have attached my picture of my food from that day. I had a salmon salad and a orange juice. I paid by card as I already stated so definitely I have proof on my bank account. Also sounds to me that your staff members arent wearing the correct uniform 😉. You have a bad review own up to it and train your staff members correctly.

CHOICE! Great burgers & also a lot of good, healthy options for a beach restaurant. Been here twice and each time, the food was good, coming out quickly. The only knock is the portion sizes are a little small, but that may because of our crazy appetite after being in the water! haha

Always my favorite place to eat some nice food and coworking with my friends! just right in front of the beach! every friday we go there

Pizza restaurant
Pizza 27 is a small, cosy restaurant with amazing pizza. The menu offers a good choice of pizzas, starters and even sweet pizzas for dessert. The staff are very helpful and the prices arereasonable.
This is a great place for pizza. I just moved here from America. I met the owner. He was beyond gracious to me. I will always be a loyal customer. Even the staff are very friendly. The customer service I received was the best. This was my first place having pizza in all of Portugal and I highly recommend everyone supporting this pizza business.

This was a fantastic experience! It’s my first time in Portugal and my friend who lives here has been speaking of this spot for some time. It exceeded my expectations due to the hospitality and the food quality. The pizza was superb and the sangria took it to another level. A must try when in this part of the world. 😎

I would like to share my review for the pizzeria, highlighting the excellent service, delicious pizza, and mouthwatering desserts. The waitress, Maria, was extremely kind and hospitable. The pizza we had was hands down the best we have ever tasted. The service at this pizzeria was top-notch. From the moment we walked in, Maria greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel incredibly welcome. She patiently answered all our questions and provided us with excellent recommendations. Now, let's talk about the pizza. Every bite was heaven! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, while the toppings were fresh and full of flavor. The cheese was gooey and melted to perfection. It was a truly mouthwatering experience. To top it off, the desserts were a delightful treat. We couldn't resist trying a few different options, and each one exceeded our expectations. The flavors were rich and indulgent, leaving us craving for more. Overall, we had an outstanding dining experience at this pizzeria. The combination of excellent service, delicious pizza, and delectable desserts made it a memorable visit. We highly recommend this place to all pizza lovers out there. Wow!!! Simply the best Bari style Pizza. My strong advise, to try the crust, it's very crispy and full of flavour. Every time I order I order different Pizza and to my surprise all of them were great. Highly recommended!
Prakash E — Google review
Absolutely amazing pizza, the best I've had in Portugal (and perhaps the US top) , from the simplest to the desert ones. Great service, cool vibes . Value for the all-you-can-eat service on Tuesdays is amazing, and the super thin crust makes it easy to try a bunch of flavors.

Italian restaurant
Capricciosa Carcavelos is a popular restaurant located near the Lisbon city center, offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from its 8th-floor location. The spacious rooms at Praia Mar offer contemporary decor and private balconies with free WiFi. To reach Carcavelos from Lisbon, visitors can take a train from Cais do Sodre station, with departures every 20 minutes and a journey time of just 26 minutes.
We had our first meal in Portugal here. It was so good that we made sure to end our ten days of eating our way from Porta to Sines, right back here at Capricciosa Carcavelos! Great service and great food!!! Especially loved our server Pedro!

10/10 all around. My friends and I went after a day at the beach, around 6:30 pm (so a little early for Portugal time). It was still pretty busy though and when we left there was a line out the door! I got the classic spaghetti bolognese because my stomach was a little upset but OMG it did not disappoint. It had so much flavor that I gobbled it down easily. My friend got the mushroom risotto and said it was DELICIOUS. I had a bite and it was so good but just very heavy, I wish there was a side or garnish to help balance that. My other friend got the shrimp pasta and I thought it needed a bit of salt, more lemon, and shredded cheese but otherwise was good a little flavorless. We also got desserts, I got the lime tart with strawberry sorbet on top. So good!! If you like something a little bit sour, I recommend this!! The views were also beautiful.

Capricciosa Carcavelos was an absolute gem we stumbled upon while driving along the N6, hungry and craving a quick bite with a sea view. This place delivered on all fronts! The location is perfect, right on the edge of the coast with plenty of parking spaces, making it super convenient for a spontaneous stop. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table, which was a pleasant surprise. The food hit the spot—exactly what we needed for a quick, satisfying meal. The menu offers a great variety of drinks and mocktails, which added a refreshing touch to our experience. The service was top-notch, with friendly, English-speaking staff who made us feel right at home. The open kitchen added a fun, lively vibe, and the seating options right by the sea were perfect, especially with the sun shining. With ample outdoor seating and a fantastic coastal view, this place is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a meal with a stunning backdrop. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

The view here was really lovely. We tried the one litre lemonade both berries and mint flavour. I preferred the berries it was delicious and refreshing. The spaghetti bolognese wasn’t anything fancy. Be careful of busy times outside the restaurant when parking. You will get a fine if not in the white lines or on top of the pay metre.

Location is perfect. Terrace is nice, with shade. Plenty of space. Food was very good. Prices are average. Waiters were a little bit funny looking with their tablets. Only complaint is that i had to wait quite a while to get second beer.

If you like Italian pasta, especially carbonara, forget about it. How can a carbonara have “natas”? Natas is basically a white sauce — completely wrong for this dish. I asked them to remove it, and yes, they did, but the pasta then came out completely dry and overloaded with garlic. This is nowhere near an authentic Italian carbonara. So if that’s what you’re looking for, don’t bother. It may also be that I recently went to another restaurant, Pasta Non Basta, and they truly surprised me — their carbonara is authentic, one of the best I’ve had outside of Italy. So maybe I had a very good reference point for what real carbonara should be. Still, it’s unacceptable to serve it with “natas” (white sauce) and then, without it, deliver a plate that’s super dry, heavy on garlic, and topped with bad ham. They do have other good dishes — I’ve tried their shrimp pasta before, and it was nice. Their pizzas are also decent. But carbonara? Absolutely not. I was really disappointed. This is not an Italian restaurant at all; it’s more like a mix of Portuguese, Brazilian, and Italian cuisine. So be careful with what you order. And the bacon/prosciutto? It was more like ham — super thin, not crispy, and the plate was basically 50% bacon and 50% pasta. Totally unacceptable

The food was great for a pizzeria. AND we were starving. The garlic bread was supposed to come without cheese but still, it was delicious!

Food is quite good and reasonably priced. Main issue js the sitting procedure! With the restaurant half empty you can easily wait for 15 minutes or more just to be sit! I understand that they are looking for a personalised service sitting customers but it is poorly organised as it takes way too long. Ruins most of the experience

A Pastorinha, a renowned restaurant located in Carcavelos, has a rich history dating back to the 18th century when Carcavelos wine production flourished under Sebastian Jose de Carvalho e Melo. This prestigious wine gained popularity among European elites and was exported to various markets worldwide. In 1908, the region of Carcavelos was officially demarcated for its wine production.
Amazing food. Freshly prepared right in front of the dining area. A vast selection of wine and other local spirits. A great ocean view. Friendly staff.

It was our favourite place to eat since 2021 when we setup our new life in Portugal. Very nice place on seaside and no lunch break and good service. I usually had grilled octopus or monkfish rice (2 pers.) which was really nice and happy to eat delicious food. So I visited 2~3 times a year with my guest or friends to enjoy the favourite menu. Today I went to have a dinner with my friend so we were 4 adults and 2 kids. Two favourite menu are disappear from the menu and we do not know why? And this is the bill I paid today and I let other people to think and check if the price is reasonable.

Great food Premium service, unfortunately not an every day restaurant for the average costumer because of the price, but recommendable for special occasions.
Joaquim P — Google review
The setting and service are flawless: elegant dining room, attentive staff, and a stunning view of the ocean that makes the experience pleasant. However, I find that the prices do not match the quality of what is served. The restaurant clearly relies on its location to inflate the bill. For example: a simple bread basket at €5.50, oysters at €4 each, and desserts at €8.50 that are not even homemade. This leaves an impression of poor value for money. In summary, a beautiful place for the setting and atmosphere, but overpriced for what’s actually on the plate.

All the makings of a good restaurant but falls very short of expectation. Pepper steaks arrived cold, VERY long wait for food, leaking roof, tomato rice was underwhelming. At 60 euros minimum per head we expected more, WAY more in terms of service and taste. Unfortunately I recommend to skip this one.

We are Americans visiting Lisbon and picked this restaurant based on the reviews and photos. We had the most wonderful staff who mostly spoke English as well. We ordered the paella which was enough for 4 people even though the menu lists it for two. The espresso and desserts, especially the sericaia, were also delicious. 10/10 would highly recommend.
Deanna F — Google review
The restaurant could be a bit expensive for the Portuguese wage however the quality is very good. Whatever you select between fish and meat you will get a great meal. The atmosphere is very good and the restaurant is quite big, I guess you will always be able to get a table. Recommended!

Lovely romantisch chique restaurant. Super friendly people. A other experience then I had already in Portugal. I had a special sole delicio meal. Very clean. Lovely live music. I'm coming back. The only tip I have for the restaurant, tell people that the olives are salty before they choose them. And let them also choose to fill their fish theirselve iff they want to do that.

Farah's Tandoori is a highly-rated restaurant that exceeded expectations. The staff was exceptional, providing attentive service without being intrusive. The outdoor dining area was delightful and the food itself was fantastic. The menu offered a wide variety of choices, including vegetarian options. Unlike many Indian restaurants, the food at Farah's Tandoori is not heavy, allowing diners to indulge without feeling overly stuffed.
Really enjoyed the food here! Just feels very authentic and the service was great. They gave some good recommendations for the meal and we enjoyed every dish!

Really fantastic Indian food. Great value. Always struggle to find something for VERY picky kids, but they have plain chicken and chips for the kids which they really enjoyed. The Indian food was absolutely fab. Can't recommend more!!!

What a lovely evening. Fabulous, creative food. The chef has managed to combine my favourite foods with amazing spices and, although it's obviously a personal taste, medium spiced really was just right. We will be back!

Absolutely delicious Indian food and great service! I’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed. The lunch menu, in particular, offers excellent value for money — high-quality dishes at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place! Wonderful food, really! I have eaten Indian food in many places but it deserves attention! Delicious! The atmosphere of a family restaurant with unobtrusive background music. Clean, delicious! I'll be back for sure!

‼️in general ⭐⭐⭐⭐ lovely restaurant with typical decorations and good food! 🍞 naan ⭐⭐⭐ the naan both garlic and cheese where ok! no good no bad just not special 🍖 meat & 🍲 soup ⭐⭐⭐⭐ both were very good, tender the meat and flavory. The soup created a good mix with the meat so highly recommended! 👥 service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ fast and friendly! what you're looking for places like this :) 🛋️ atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐ is furnished to respect Indian culture but it doesn't resemble it perfectly. The music does a little of atmosphere but still is missing a lot

I had high expectations after reading the reviews and I wasn't dissapointed. Fantastic staff, very attentive without being annoying, lovely outside eating area and the food was fantastic! Lots of choice on the menu including vegetarian. The food isn't heavy like a lot of Indian restaurants I've been to so I didn't feel like a beached whale after I'd eaten every last grain of rice! I had the samosa to start, yummy! Followed by a veggie main, I would have preferred it slightly spicier but it was also yummy. And naan bread with three dips, yummy yummy yummy. And very very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend this place enough.
