This charming restaurant serves Italian dishes and was an incredible find on our way to a pricier stop. I got the sense it was a long time family restaurant filled with locals, regulars, and visitors. Loved it

Delicious pizza. The base is very thin and crispy - more like flamkuchen.

We came for lunch which ends at 2pm with last orders taken at 1:30. We got a Caesar salad with chicken along with a salad with foie gras, bacon, and gizzards. The portions were HUGE! We also split a Napoleon Pizza (anchovies and olives) which was delicious! The atmosphere here is perfect, a nice getaway tucked in the hills of the French Rivera. Service was the normal French speed, but you get use to it. Would definitely go back and try out dinner - the quality of food was fantastic, as we was the ambiance!

We had dinner with two families at this very cosy place - easily identified by red colored cows in front. Very friendly staff, excellent food in a traditional atmosphere. Fair pricing. Shaded outside under big trees, with nice decoration, and cozy interior as well. Highly recommended! The place rents rooms as well.

The dishes are amazing, the service impeccable and the atmosphere magnificent! I have been coming here for years and always had a great time. If you're looking for good food without fake pomp, this is the place!

The breakfast is a shambles, the rooms are falling apart and the food was well below par. More that half my Mussels Pot had closed mussels. Pizza was a soggy mess, “tempura prawns”…. Just don’t order those! They are in the thickest batter ever, we’re not cleaned before cooked, just such a waste of money. The staff (family run) are rude and act as if they are doing you a favour. The chambermaid was lovely is the only reason I could think of putting a star on. Very surprised that this hotel has scored so high. Folks obviously don’t travel much. Very sad as it’s a good location and the restaurant has such potential. Let’s hope it improves.

Drove by and stopped here for lunch. The place is beautiful with cozy decoration. The staff were very friendly. We ordered their set lunch. The appetizers were quiche and mussels, both tasted very good. The mains were grilled sardine and mixed meat grilled. The meat were juicy and well cooked, though the beef was a bit chewy. Sardine was very good.

We ate twice at Le Patio. It is a cosy family owned hotel/restaurant which I would recommend if you are in the neighborhood. Price/quality is good and the service too (I really loved Sarah). Try a pizza! They are to die for, but I like it them thin. The rest of the food we ordered (mussels, grilled fish, fish stew) was really nice as well. This nice, cost place is really recommended.

L'Or Bleu is a restaurant located at the Tiara Yaktsa hotel, where Chef Alain Montigny showcases his expertise with recipes inspired by the Mediterranean. The Michelin Guide praises the balanced and delicately flavored dishes made with top-quality ingredients. The restaurant's website describes the cuisine as being inspired by local harvests infused with flavors from distant lands. Guests can enjoy dining indoors or on the terrace, which offers a stunning sea view.
I feel the restaurant lives to its expectations. An excellent 1 star Michelin restaurant with top notch service / amazing food and beautiful views of the ocean and surroundings. I don’t think you can fault this place. It was an awesome experience. We tried the 6 course menu which is kept as a surprise and we loved it. The staff was super attentive and helpful. The wines by glass were chosen very well too by the sommelier. It’s going to be reasonably expensive but that’s come with the territory of a Michelin star restaurant in a Relais and Chateaux property. Our only slight issue was that we were billed for some extra drinks which didn’t have. But I guess that can happen in a restaurant. Verdict 5/5 Meal for 2 is easily £400 with drinks 2-3 glasses of wine or champagne

A wonderful meal in a fantastic ambience with a view to die for. From the opening amuse bouche’s to the closing deserts we loved the tasting menu created by chef Alain Montigny. It was excellent throughout with wonderful flavours perfectly complimentary. It was also a privilege to meet the chef personally at the end to be able to tell him how much we enjoyed his work. Tremendous and surely the best restaurant in the area.

Lovely menu. Great value. Being by the sea, you can see the inspiration is heavy that way. The first course egg, signature dish, is something from another world good. Some of the other courses lacked the same intensity however that’s not meant to take away from the quality within them. The view is an extra level of class and charm to the ambiance of the evening.

Celebrated an 80th birthday here. Good 1 star Michelin restaurant with great views on a nice day (cloudy for me). Had the 6 course tasting menu. The shrimp and dessert were the best! Could have been more accommodating though as 2 people had to leave before the final dessert, would have thought they would have allowed us to take it out for them.

Really enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. The food was excellent and the staff was very professional and friendly. The windows overlooking the sea were very nice. Sadly we didn’t sit so close to the view but it was nice either way

Amazing experience. The location offers a breathtaking view of the hills, especially during sunset. The ambiance is beautifully lit, creating a unique atmosphere. They serve an excellent selection of homemade bread, including varieties like curry-infused bread, lemon-infused bread, and an amazing focaccia. I also had the pleasure of trying their unique dish of scrambled eggs, which was served as a creamy paste with mushrooms and croutons. It was absolutely amazing, and they actually never remove it from the menu according the waitress.

Food was stand out as expected from a surprise michelin star. Nothing to critique there, the chef even accomodated our dietary requirements. What was seriously lacking was the atmosphere. No background music gave a bit of an awkward feel to the room, even a little bit of soft piano goes a long way. Another point is the set up of the restaurant. Decor a bit outdated and where we were sat, behind the waiter station away from the sea view felt like an afterthought. Why still face us in the direction of the windows if we are to be obstructed and essentially forced to watch the waitstaff work. The silver lining is that I was sat next to my wofe instead of facong her Now the service. I can't really fault the service in any way in terms of actual service. What I mean is: plates were cleared when meant to, table was cleaned and reset when needed, dishes were explained properly throughout. However. If you were to swap the waitstaff with robots, there would be no difference. Everything was 'step 1, step 2...' Very few smiles and no personality was ever shown. It felt very cold and soulless. Which is the exact opposite from the food that was full of heart passion. At first I thought maybe it was a language barrier since we speak very little French. But upon observing other tables, nothing changed and no meaningful conversations were had. Another aspect which I don't really agree on but I know some praise; is the orchestrated tables clear. One waiter would clear my plate while another cleared my wife's. I get it, it looked professional and minimises risk of dropping a fork. But if it were just one person some conversations could be started. Just sone quick thoughts I had on the experience. Would I recommend? Sure if you were in the mood for a surprise menu and wanted to try some amazing food. Would I go back? Almost certainly not

Le Coup de Fourchette is a hidden gem in Theoule sur Mer, offering traditional French and regional dishes. The restaurant has gained a loyal clientele over the years, including renowned chefs like Christian Sinicropi. The cuisine is known for its generous portions and homemade dishes made with quality ingredients. Its proximity to the beach makes it a convenient dining spot, and guests can also take advantage of secure underground parking. Visitors praise the excellent fish dishes and warm atmosphere created by the welcoming staff.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had in France, including much more expensive restaurants in Paris. The space is very small with most seating outside and only a short walk from Chateau de Theoule. The menus are brought to the table written in chalk on black slate. I had a lovely mussel soup with a cooked puff pastry on top (think Dum Biriyani style but soup), and zucchini flowers stuffed with minced fish and serve with wilted spinach and tomato’s and a very light cream sauce. The meal with three glasses of house rose’ was €65. The staff was very friendly and while I don’t know for sure, it gave off a family-owned, neighborhood restaurant vibe. Definitely recommend…

Amazing food! Especially today’s specially mushroom. Two different local people we met recommended us this place, and it’s definitely worth the price.
Layla G — Google review
This is a little gem hidden inside Theoule (which is itself a little hidden gem). The food was very tasty, the service nice and (generally) prompt, and the atmosphere worthy of high end restaurants. The “blackboard menus” were a nice touch, although I had difficulties reading the letters as I’m not 100% fluent in French (the natives would probably “guess” them). Getting the check was a bit longer than we’re used to, but they were very busy and they took us in without reservation, so I’ll maintain the highest rating. The jazzy remixes were also a nice touch, although I personally thought the beat was a bit too strong (for my taste, not my ears - it was just the right amount of quiet).

Great experience, quality, innovation and service ,both fish and meat options , all sensibly priced and well presented

We were so happy to find this little restaurant on our short trip. Family run, very friendly. We came without reservation and they were busy on the Easter Sunday evening. The owner invited us in with great hospitality. Then, about the food, they were all delicious! We had mussel soup, cauliflower humus as appetizers and two fish as main. All cooked with seasonal good quality produce, perfect seasoning. The “lost bread” French toast as desert, gave a perfect note ending the meal. Thank you for this perfect special treat! On a side note: no sea view for this restaurant. You pay for the high quality food. Anyone who wants a cheap casual meal by the sea, this won’t be the place for you.

My favourite local restaurant...family style ..the photos speak for themselves...delicious food .

We were excited to try this restaurant now it had moved to bigger premises However, we were very disappointed The starters were excellent but our main course of pork and « frites maison » was not good. The pork was dry and the « frites » were potato wedges and not crisp. The waitress took away our practically untouched plates of food without even asking why we hadn’t eaten it . Clearly, she should have asked why we didn’t like it and have offered us something else She did not care at all. We will not be going back

Amazing place to have lunch! We enjoyed the variety of food and the people working there. The owner is very nice and welcoming! Great prices for the quality offered.

This place does not do food in the evening, it's only open as a bar. So the opening hours shown here are misleading.

Popular with locals but very welcoming for tourists. Large choice of seating inside or patio. Good choices of daily specials but best of all meals were 3 course at very reasonable prices. Also a great town to visit and hike!

La Maréa is a renowned seafood restaurant located in Theoule-sur-Mer, just outside of Cannes. The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its traditional bouillabaisse fisherman's stew and crudo loup de mediterranee (southern sea bass). Visitors can also savor wonderful oysters while enjoying the bright and charming interiors adorned with hanging dried flowers, crisp white tablecloths, and inviting wicker chairs.
Incredible place located in the south of France hidden away from the crowds. Enjoy your trip down the winding roads to a lovely family owned restaurant where they serve the best local seafood. For sure the food was 10/10! What topped it off was the atmosphere with it feeling like eating at home with a natural and one with feeing with the culture of the south of France. Definitely one to recommend and come back to on any occasion! Best service as well to top it off! Thank you to the La Maréa team for the great hospitality!
