Nestled in the charming village of Blakeney, Norfolk, The Kings Arms is a delightful coastal pub that offers an inviting atmosphere and a menu brimming with delicious options. Overlooking stunning salt marshes, this establishment is perfect for those seeking both traditional fare and a warm local vibe. Guests rave about their experiences here, particularly highlighting the mouthwatering mussels served in garlic and white wine sauce—an absolute must-try!
Beautiful little pub. Food was incredible, and in hindsight well worth the price. Portion of fish and chips is brilliant and it was delicious. Lovely staff, very friendly atmosphere. Great!

We were staying in Blakeney and were desperate for some fish and chips, but there is no fish and chip takeaway shop. So popped down to the King’s Arms who generously offered a takeaway service and we had a drink whilst waiting. Gorgeous friendly pub and the fish and chips were absolutely delicious! And we were in time to nip across the road to the spa for a tin of mushy peas to take back with us to our rented house, before it shut at 8pm. Would definitely recommend visiting this pub with an old world charm and friendly staff and customers. But get there before 8 - 8.30pm if you want the takeaway fish and chips service!

Food was OK but nothing to write home about considering the cost. Outside seating available. Quick service. Relatively clean and tidy but the condiments needed cleaning. Drinks were good.

Stopped here after an amazing boat trip to see the seal colony. Walked from the National Trust pier to the village centre. Beautiful friendly pub and the food was delicious, very fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!

My partner and I went to The Kings Arms for some food and a drink after a long day. It certainly did not disappoint! The roast dinner is to die for with a generous portion (beat me), and the fish and chips my partner had was delicious, even comes with homemade Tartar sauce! Staff are lovely, would come again!

We love it here. Go quite a few times when we are on holiday and it's become tradition that we have a meal here on our last day. Landlord is as miserable as an old goat but it's all part of the charm and gives us a good laugh. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food has always been excellent everytime.
Gemma R — Google review
Lovely, friendly old pub that has great food and service. Will definitely use again. A nice touch was when I ordered food and drinks at the bar on a tab, they asked for my first name, never had that before but that set the scene for the whole visit. Brilliant.
Nicholas K — Google review
Dropped in on Easter Sunday, looking for a meal and drinks. Welsh chap behind the bar was brilliant, accommodated us straight away. Easily the warmest, friendliest welcome we had across the weekend, having visited many places. So hard to find nowadays. Very welcoming as soon as we entered, especially to our dog! Decent food with great service, old school! Thank you

Seafood restaurant
Fish and seafood restaurant
The Moorings is a charming family-run eatery located on the North Norfolk coast, offering unpretentious modern British cuisine made with seasonal produce and fresh seafood. The relaxed setting and homemade desserts make it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal. With its wide skies and coastal location, The Moorings provides a delightful dining experience that comes highly recommended by visitors.
The Moorings During our recent midweek break in Blakeney , Norfolk we enjoyed two fabulous evenings at The Moorings a lovely family run restaurant on the high street and just a short walk from the quayside. Our first visit was on the tuesday where on arrival we were given a lovely welcome before being seated at our table. The restaurant was full and obviously very popular which as we found out was not hard to see why. The menu is a la carte with a lovely selection of starters , mains and desserts We started with the Brown crab gazpacho, white crab, roast fennel, almonds and jamón as well as the Octopus salad, dill & buttermilk tarator, pickled shallots which were both delicious. We followed this with two fabulous fish dishes of Halibut, clams, grapefruit beurre monté and the Hake, salmorejo, cantaloupe melon and cucumber, samphire. These dishes were excellent and perfectly cooked. The watermelon with the hake was an absolute triumph. We then finished with dessert and we wasn’t to be disappointed here either as we enjoyed the Chocolate and Pecan Tart and the Rich Ginger Pudding with Toffee Sauce. While we ended the evening with a coffee and chat with the team we asked if they had availability for the thursday and luckily for us they could squeeze us in. So with this we said goodbye and see you again very soon. So two nights later we were back and the food was once again amazing , the staff were very friendly and yes they were busy again. There were a couple of tweaks and changes on the menu which is down to the availability of the amazing local produce. This time we started with the Gnocchi, broad beans, courgette, çökelek cheese and the Tamarind & chilli pork belly, grilled nectarine, Blakeney leaves another two fabulous dishes. Now to the mains where I was in for an absolute treat. While my wife enjoyed the Sea bass, ratatouille and saffron fumet I was in heaven with the Pork chop, bone marrow ragu that was incredible. There was only one way to finish after that than with a Sticky Toffee Pudding and it was delicious while my wife enjoyed a delightful Cheese Course. We finished again with a coffee and chat before parting ways with the hope of seeing them again someday. This is definitely a restaurant I would recommend. The food was amazing , the staff were friendly and the location is stunning so please take my advice and if you’re in the area book yourselves a table. Thank You to all the team at The Moorings and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Lloyd S — Google review
I used to come to the Moorings a few years ago with my family and remember absolutely loving it. And the quality is still there in abundance. A really excellent high quality meal, in particular I loved the scallops for starter, sea bass for main and honestly I have not had as good a desert as the Brulee raspberry tart with vanilla ice cream - absolutely exceptional with the top texture of the brulee cracking! I will be here next year - make sure to book in advance 😂 We had starter, main and desert + drink.

Absolutely superb! We came here for an evening during a stay in Norfolk. This was the best restaurant that we experienced. The food is really excellent and the staff are lovely and the service is perfect. Next time we're in Norfolk we will book a table here without hesitation. I love this place!

We were staying in the neighbouring village and were looking for a place to go for dinner and found this place. Absolutely love this place. We had no booking but they squeezed us in for a later hour, and it was worth the wait. Food was delicious, we had a sea bass dish and a sea trout dish, and treated myself with a Plum & Almond Frangipane. Big thanks also to the amazing team on site.

Absolutely superb! I phoned on a "long shot" for a table on the day and they came up trumps with a table! Lovely atmosphere in the bright and airy restaurant, great service from the friendly team and excellent food selection for us. We'd definitely go back again and again!
Jon S — Google review
Excellent food from a fish focused menu. Not a huge selection but we much prefer a smaller number of dishes done well, which these were, with very well prepared and presented starters, mains and deserts. Friendly and helpful staff who were very accommodating of my wife's food allergy. Desserts are excellent! Loses a star just for the two sittings, which means it feels a bit rushed if you are on the early evening sitting. However, I fully understand the financial need to do this as it is a small restaurant with limited covers.

Lovely meal. Fantastic food and service. Would definitely recommend. Puddings are excellent 👌

We were so glad we visited this restaurant on our recent weekend trip to Norfolk. The food was insanely good, service great and it's a lovely location. I have nothing negative to say at all. Even the price was extremely reasonable for the quality we received. Can't recommend enough!

Restaurant
The Baytree Restaurant at Blakeney House offers excellent cuisine, a delightful ambiance, attentive personnel, and exceptional hospitality. Indulging in pre-dinner beverages in the living area near the fireplace is highly recommended during the winter season.
Great food, great place, great staff and great hosting. The drinks before dinner in the living room by the fire is a must in winter time!

A super find! Great cocktails and super food, we had the winter warmer menu which offered excellent value. Personally I loved the home cured salmon starter. All staff were super friendly and very helpful. This place has a lovely feel about it - We liked it so much we went back and had Sunday lunch, which was also excellent, lovely crispy roast potatoes & all green veg freshly cooked. We will definitely revisit next time we are in Blakeney.

We wish to have a good meal before leaving Blakeney, and I'm greatful to find this place. There are not much comments about the restaurant on Google map, but that doesn't mean that the restaurant is poor. The restaurant was granted the 2 AA Rosette award and the chef did amazing job from starter to main course. The King Prawn with Focaccia is one of the best starter that I tried for the last few years, the delicious Creme Fraiche become a wonderful linkage of the prawn and the bread. I really wish we order one more. For the main course, the steak & resotto are wonderful and we both agree the hash brown is the highlight and bring the main course to another level. North Norfolk is a peaceful place and people are keen to stay a weekend for relaxing. If you're interested to a proper dining, I'm sure you will love the whole dining experience

The White Horse is a historic coaching inn in Blakeney, offering a charming pub and contemporary guestrooms. It's known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious pub food. The restaurant also offers vegan options and a special Mother's Day buffet. Located near the Blakeney National Nature Reserve, it's a great spot to enjoy friendly service and tasty British cuisine.
We thoroughly enjoyed a Couple of relaxed evenings in the White Horse in Blakeney, a few drinks with our family and a delicious evening meal in a buzzy atmosphere with great service. The small menu was perfect for us and our 2 teenagers, all cooked beautifully - and making changes to swap items etc was no problem at all. Located right in the middle of Blakeney it’s a perfect spot, with a beer garden and conservatory to capture the last rays of sunshine too. Booking a table in advance particularly as the season gets under way is recommended as with many places around the area. Thank you White Horse for a lovely evening!

We've been to this lovely pub/hotel twice now and we loved it both times. The decor is very modern and clean. Lunch menu was awesome and very reasonably priced. Good portions. 😁 Staff were very welcoming, polite and professional. If we go back to Blakeney we'll definitely visit again.

Had 2 lovely meals here The burger meal was very well presented and very tasty good portion size. My wife had the chicken she said was also delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very nice setting. Would highly recommend if in the area

Came here for dinner with my wife on the last day of our vacation expecting a great gastro experience based on a few reviews we noticed. We were quite disappointed by the food when it arrived and in particular the value for money based on how much was actually on our plates! We know pubs are generally struggling and having to increase prices to survive these days - thus becoming ‘gastro-pubs’, but at least they could make it worth the price they charge and dispense with a few leaves and 2 baby tomatoes and then call it a salad. The pork belly starter was the worst with 2 morsels of blended fatty-meat at £10! Just not worth it. Left still feeling hungry unfortunately. But location was great so walked off our food in about 10 steps.
Patrick R — Google review
Food is nice, service a little slow given it wasn't very busy. We had to wait far too long to be seated. Would visit again all things considered.
Callum M — Google review
Lovely pub/hotel, nice warm welcome, very friendly staff, room was very spacious with great view (room 1), had evening meal there on first night, food was very nice, service was friendly and attentive and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, only criticism was the breakfast room was very hot with no windows that appeared to be openable. Thank you for a lovely stay. Will definitely be back.
Andy G — Google review
Strange place. Turning people away at 4pm who wanted to eat as they claim to be 'fully booked, and people will start to arrive from 4'. By 5.30 place was still empty. Think you have to fit a certain type to be welcome here.
Richard K — Google review
We had a booking for 4 on the 21st of May 2025 and had to leave because the food ordered was incorrectly prepared by the chef who completely got my order wrong! Surely when you require NO burger bun or sauce that is what you receive but no it arrived as stated on the menu not what I had requested. My husband had also required no sauces but the sauces were all over his burger. His chips which looked like a child's portion were stone cold. The manager collected my burger and was still walking around with it in his 5 minutes later! It was our anniversary and we wanted to eat, together not be served in stages. The triple cut chips were not triple cooked because some were hard in the middle, again Luke warm. We paid for our drinks and left. I was shocked as I have visited and stayed at the white Horse many times and the food is certainly not what it was, unfortunately.

Lovely little bakery that serves quality cakes and homemade biscuits as well as selection of cold drinks and great tasting coffee. Overlooking the salt marshes. Stop and relax for a while. Very friendly young staff.

Mixed reviews on the day we visited. Food - excellent, high quality, varied menu, great for lunch, brunch or a cake. They have fly deterrent devices over the cakes which is highly appreciated. Dog friendly which is great. Only let down was one of the waitresses wasn't particularly friendly, didn't smile, just didn't seem happy to be there, looked like she was sucking a lemon. There was another waitress on the same shift who was lovely and friendly though.

Absolutely gorgeous food and wonderful staff at this bakery in Blakeney. The eggs were fluffy and delicious, the sausages to die for. Had to try a cinnamon swirl too. Then ordered more takeout for later!

Such a gem in Blakeney! The food was absolutely amazing, and such good value. We couldn't believe how big the portion sizes were for the price. And amazing quality. I can't recommend this place enough!! We will definitely be back for coffee and cake another day.

What a fantastic bakery. Best coffee and food we had while staying in Norfolk. Friendly service, beautiful location and amazing cakes. Great place to visit with our dog too. Can’t wait to return.

We had a fantastic brunch there. The food was delicious and staff were great, despite it being really busy. Slightly less impressed with the bakery section which didn’t seem very fresh and was relatively expensive.

Myself and my family visited Blakeney Two Magpies this afternoon (24/08/2025). We ordered multiple items each to eat. These were enjoyable enough. However, I myself ordered the cheese scone which did not come warm despite requesting this to be done; butter was also an additional 30p which I believe should come a standard with a scone. The sausage roll was nice. The experience was tainted by the lack of organisation and communication with the staff and customers. Food ordered to eat in (like we were) came out at different times and they had no reliable way to say who ordered the food as it was then ready. Perhaps a numbered system for the orders would make it easier for the staff resulting in a more positive experience for the customers. Overall the staff were very friendly but the system was not efficient for everyone involved.

It's renowned for being home to England's largest seal colony, with adorable seals that can be observed up close on boat trips from Morston Quay. The area is also a nature reserve and offers uninterrupted views of unspoilt coastline.
Wanted to see the Seals but came too late!!! Anyway great views and walk. We did 11 KM walk in the pebble and sand beach. Saw only seals skeleton. And plenty of mussels.

Between 9am and 11a this gets pretty crowded with visitors looking to find a boat to Blakeney Point to see the seals basking on the sands. They all amazingly charge the same prices of £20 per adults despite being rival operations. We took a trip with one of the "Bean"'s services and this was well conducted and an enjoyable ride.

Blakeney Quay Slipway is a hub of activities, offering opportunities for sailing, kayaking, birdwatching, and leisurely walks along the coastal footpath. Visitors can also enjoy traditional seaside pastimes like crab fishing and indulging in ice cream. It's an ideal spot for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking during mid to high tide. However, it's important to be mindful of boat traffic and ensure that everyone has their space.
Great place for a swim/paddle board/kayak at mid - high tide. Be mindful of boats & ensure you don’t get in the way but if you are sensible there is space for everyone. We kayaked to Morston but it was much too tight and not actually very enjoyable. Would just stick to the wide channels next time.

A lovely walk. We parked at Blakeney and took the route around to the neighboring village Cley next the Sea. It's not an excessively long walk and the path is well kept. Lovely scenery and lots of wildlife, if you have some binoculars you should definitely bring them along. Both villages either side of the nature reserve have a number of amenities and free parking.

Ideal location if you want to go and see some seals. Two different types of seals are found here and are found and different times of the year so check before coming. Tickets relatively cheap and don't need to pre book can just turn up. There are only a few seal trips a day due to tides so make sure this is scheduled into your planning. Would recommend bringing a raincoat or towel as can get sprayed on the boats. The national trust carpark has a small shop selling a limited range of food and drink and there are also toilets.
