A fantastic museum. Loved the Dakota experience! Even saw an AFPU photographer manakin which was great to see as my journey to Arnhem was to Jump into Renkum as an AFPU photographer myself. I look forward to returning for the 82nd anniversary and will visit again. See photos of Manakin and myself in AFPU uniform. Go easy on the dummy jokes! 👀

We visited the Airborne Museum on Saturday and had a great experience! There weren’t many people, so there were no queues and we could take our time exploring. The museum is very well organized and informative, telling the story of Operation Market Garden and the Battle of Arnhem in an engaging way. Inside, there are authentic artifacts, uniforms, weapons, personal stories, and photographs that give a real sense of what happened during the battle. One of the highlights is the immersive light and sound show, which recreates the experience of the fighting, it’s really well done and helps you imagine what the soldiers went through. After exploring the exhibits, we went outside to the small café, which serves food and drinks.. perfect for a short break. There’s also a tank outside, great for taking pictures. Overall, a very interesting and moving museum that’s well worth a visit if you’re interested in WWII history.

Excellent museum that tells the story of Arnhem. So much to see and experience, especially as the building was used as the Headquarters during the Battle. Surrounded by beautiful grounds and monuments commemorating battle. Very good shop and cafe outside.

I visited the Airborne museum at Hartenstein for the first time in Sep 2025, during a motorcycle trip from the UK. I booked in advance and the staff were helpful in changing my visit day by email. The entrance to the museum itself is accessed from the "Klein Hartenstein" restaurant so if you go into the car park of that premises which is only accessible from the main road and it is a short walk less than 200 metres to the museum. Although the building itself is relatively small there is plenty to see on the inside, with a clearly signed layout to follow and see the museum. The Airborne simulation which showed a glider borne landing which starts in a plane carriage and leads onto various simulations of battle scenes from Arnhem with lighting and sound is well worth a look. Unfortunately this one was a flying visit, I'll be back.

A marvellous museum that remembers the bravery, loss and sacrifice of The British. Airborne Division, The Polish Airborne Brigade and the oppressed Dutch population in September 1944. The museum also offers detailed artefacts etc of the occupying German forces. The cost in June 2025 was €16 person and this is very good value in my opinion. The museum exhibits and information are very well laid out. The staff are friendly and give advice on the museum and how to use the personal audio equipment. The gift/bookshop is well stocked. Toilets are within the building, too. As of June 2025, there is a temporary exhibit by the Netherlands Army body recovery and identification team. This is fascinating and their commitment to identifying the war dead, admirable. The battle display is very good, taking visitors through a glider landing to the eventual withdrawal across The Rhine River. It is noisy and realistic. I would highly recommend that you visit here if you have any interest whatsoever in World War Two. "Lest We Forget"

Wonderful park that gets quiet when you go deeper, and you can also walk the dog without a leash there. Usually you'll be able to spot some swans and in spring many birds are giving their hatchlings swimming lessons.

Properly one of the most beautiful city parks Western Europe. Sonsbeek is undoubtedly Netherlands and Arnhem's most famous park, just a five-minute walk from Central Station and the city center.

What a beautiful park! It's simply lovely and such a delightful place to spend time. Arnhem is such a friendly city, and this park is just a quick 10-minute stroll from the very centre. You can't help but feel happy being here!

waterfalls add to its beauty. The terraces planted with flowers of various colors are enchanting. It’s a peaceful, quiet, and clean park. We didn’t explore the whole place, but you can also have a meal at the café near the entrance.

Great park, as a kid I have been visiting this park pretty regular, now I visit it with my son. It has a nice little waterfall, you can walk through a tunnel beneath the water. It has Deers, in the weekends they have all sorts of activities.

This is a wonderful zoo, one of the best I have visited in Europe. The forest in the middle of the park is amazing and very diverse in terms of plants and animals, and there's also a waterfall. A lot of animals had newborns, which was very cute. The sea zone was very beautiful, of course limited in size as it is not the main focus of the park (if you like water animals, make sure you visit the one in Barcelona). Downsides: too many people which created crowds, and no staff around the park to help.

Such a beautiful and fun zoo! Would definitely recommend for adults and for children. As an adult that likes to go to zoo’s that are not just for kids, this is a great pick! A full day is needed to visit here and be prepared for different types of biomes, this is the most interesting ! There are restaurants located around, and I would recommend the Bush restaurant! The food is quite pricy for what it is.

Amazing!!! The first steps didn’t seem like it will be much yet quickly we realized how well thought is whole place. Really you see the animals and theirs wellbeing is the highest priority. Still all is designed in such smart way that you able to observe them in awe! True treat for families but I guess it’s also a great idea for a date or solo experience. Enjoyed tons🙌🏼 There are parts of it fully in dome that creates full experience of natural habitats- if you don’t look up it’s easily to feel like in a jungle or on some tropical place. Amazing!

I went their with my wife and daughter( 2 years old). The park has huge car parking (paid) with electric car chargers. Overall the park is huge and very well built. There are enough benches to sit and observe. The observation decks are very well positioned, and the safari restaurant has amazing views of the African safari lands. Their is great variety of food options, even for kids. The food was lekker. Overall the entire experience was just amazing.

This was a wonderful zoo experience. One the rare “cageless” habitats and it was wonderful to see the animals roam around in rather large habitats. Beautifully designed, and aesthetically pleasing. Parking costs 9 EUR and approx 29 EUR for a single ticket for adults. It can take somewhere between 3-4 hours to leisurely see all exhibits

Always nice to go here..! Is calm and peaceful… The animals are well taken care of and monkeys are my favorite! Mangrove is my favorite place to visit… It a nice funny cute and a great zoo to visit

It is an interesting Zoo which offers animal as much nature space as possible. With the map you can explore all different parts of the zoo. But with the open nature it also creates some challenges, it might be sometime difficult to trace where the animals are, which brings down the experience slightly. Quite some food choices inside the canteen and plenty of paid parking space inside as well

The museum is reachable by taking a bus one stop from central station or by walking for 15 to 20 minutes. The city has hills and bluffs. The museum has a large garden with an amazing overview of the river below. There are sculptures in the garden. The museum’s restaurant is also impress with a good menu and passable service. The museum shop shares the space with the restaurant.

Interesting museum. Went specifically for the temporary exhibition “Kunst in het Derde Rijk” and was thoroughly impressed. I learned a lot of new things about the way art was seen by the Germans during the world war and how it was portrayed over there. Had a generally informative and fun time reading up on the information that was provided with some of the paintings and in general. Found it disappointing that no photos could be taken during the exhibition. I personally like to photograph some of the works I find interesting and want to see again in the future. Beside this exhibition there wasn’t really much else to do or see. The garden was a nice touch and place to visit after the exhibition and museum to get some quiet and peace.

I wanted to visit there since I thought it is a museum. However, it is super hectic place with no instructions and several rooms with no purpose. After understanding that there is not a museum indeed, i decided to drink a coffee and leave there. However, i am told that I needed to wait until waitresses ask for my order. Guess what? Noone paid attention to me for 45 minutes. A huge waste of 2 hours for nothing. What is going on there guys?

A modern museum on a historical spot. Located on a moraine, above the river Rhine and surrounding threes the museum provides it's visitors a unique feeling of calmness. The temporary collection is well thought, but fortunately the characteristic collection is still there to be admired.

Incredible experience! So much amazing history to discover and many interactive exhibits like the weavers and the blacksmiths. The grounds are stunning and expansive. You can tour the grounds on the trolley which is super fun for kids. There is an entire section of the ground dedicated to kids activities. The restaurant and Cafe was really nice with many vegan options including pastries! The gift shop is very nice with many good Dutch gifts.

In my opinion the best museum in the Netherlands, bar none. Well worth the ticket price and whatever the train costs coming here. The entire museum is extremely well maintained. Facilities are unbelievably sanitary. The food served in the "restaurant corner" of the museum is reasonably priced and mouth-watering good. The fries are a must try. The exhibits offer a detailed look into history, with content written in both Dutch and English. The experience is thoughtfully divided into sectors, each containing exhibits from different time periods. Historic trams run frequent headways in a circular route around the museum. These are free to board and a wonderful way to have a look around. Of course, the museum is 100% walkable. 10/10 experience. The day went by in a flash - will be back.

Lovely place in Holland. If you have the museum card and you go with your family, this is a great place to spend the day at. The nature is beautiful, the tram is fun for the kids, you could see farm animals and enjoy the different family activities. I love the Dutch concept of having open air museums where you can see the history of the country.

Beautiful museum about Dutch history and how people were living in the past century. We visited during a busy weekend but because the size of the park it does not feel crowded. A tram can be used to travel quickly from one location to another. Not only the buildings are in perfect condition, but also the landscape, the gardens, the trams etc. are well maintained. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited on our way from Germany to the ferry from Europort. It's a lovely place for a few hours, lots to see. Very knowledgeable staff/volunteers to tell you about the life etc.

For peaceful weekends, I recommend to visit here. It was an impressive and pleasant sightseeing.

Amazing food 😍 lovely beautiful place, I loved the burger, thick and juicy with lots of side fries with a mosterd mayo delicious sauce. Pasta was also delicious with buttery sauce and shrimp. And a perfect apple pie, I think the moisture of inside and crunch of outside was great for me, surely will be back for more pie 😍❤️

Great experience, the terras is out in the sun which is great if the weather is nice. They have various good brands of beers as well as things such as gin tonics. We had a 4 course dinner and some oysters outside, overall some of the dishes could use some tweaking but it went from okay to really good and so it ended the evening on a high note! It is also nice and calm and not too loud, I've seen people with dogs there also (for you dog walkers). Staff is well versed in what they have in inventory. It is a fancy place for a specific type of crowd, no rowdy people but calm and collective perfect if you want a nice dinner with friends.

Dined here about a month ago. Kir Royal was generous, the main dishes as it should be (please find photo in attachment) and the cheese plate was interesting as it included Irish cheese. Ample parking, nice terras and polite staff.

Very fancy space with great staff. We stayed outside, it's dog friendly. The food is too expensive for the mediocre quality. Also they didn't have any chocolate deserts on the menu, besides vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce...

Truly phenomenal meal this evening. Family of four, had the sharing menu, three courses, we honestly couldn’t eat a mouthful more by the end even though we wish we could. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, no need to dress up but the food was top quality- my husband can’t eat gluten due to having coeliac disease but it was no issue as most things are gluten free. It’s the best meal and quality of produce I have had in a very long time and this is coming from a snobby Londoner! Thank you so much for an amazing meal

That was amazing. We didn't even look at the menu - we simply agreed to the plan of "We'll bring you 3 courses of shared dishes and everyone can eat from each." That also got us around diet restrictions. Everything I tried was delicious, if a bit heavy on meat. Also beautifully presented. Not cheap, but we wouldn't have been able to get a table otherwise.

Nothing to write home about. Save a trip if you’re coming on purpose. At maximum, food is decent. Pretty bland, albeit the good presentation. Not my kind of place, quasi-healthy/honest/bio type restaurant, but not really, which means the menu is limited and expensive. The 'buffalo burger' came extremely rare (they didn't ask about the cuisson) almost raw and no fries just a few chips because (we don't have a fryer). Quite overpriced.

Great ribeye: well cooked, thick enough, tender and full of flavour. The sides included were up to the same standard: fries crunchy outside and soft inside, boiled veggies with a nice sauce and a nice small salad. Friendly and cordial service. Osama and Leentje know how to treat their customers. While we had trouble in making dinner reservations on New Year's Eve, they invited us to their restaurant and enjoy our meal. We were so lucky.
