Churches & Cathedrals
When exploring Kasauli, a visit to Christ Church is a must for travelers seeking a blend of heritage and spirituality. This historic church dates back to the British rule and showcases architectural splendor with stained-glass windows and a clock tower. Located near Mall road, it offers a tranquil environment that provides insight into the region's colonial past and spiritual heritage. The church's serene ambiance makes it an essential stop for cultural enrichment in any Kasauli itinerary.
It is one of the most mesmerizing, peaceful, and spiritual places I have ever been to. Because it is placed nearby the market or parking stand you can easily go there by foot. This parking space (50 Rs. for two wheeler) is for all tourists as vehicles from other places are not allowed in that area. Only taxis can go towards the sunset point and Gill Beet Trail. The church is surrounded by tall deodar trees, feels like a serene oasis. It's stunning example of Gothic architecture, with its stained glass windows beautifully shows the scenes of Jesus Christ and Mother Mary.  The wooden interiors and sloping roof give it an enchanting, old-world charm. A number of tourists come to visit this Church especially on weekends. Even if you are not religious, you will find yourself drawn to its beauty and serenity and it is truly magical. The church is well-maintained, clean, and has a rich history that you can learn about from the friendly people there. Officially, the photography is not allowed inside, you can capture some gorgeous pictures outside as the church framed by the lush surroundings. At this church, you can experience the glimpse of history, beauty, and spirituality together. It is must visit placed in Kasauli.

An old style British era church reminds you of an epic journey to a place stationed somewhere in memories. The architecture of the church is very nice and you can spend some quiet time with God here. Inside the atmosphere is very nice and peaceful. Now this church attracts many tourists and it is just a few meters away from new parking Kasuali.

Christ Church, Kasauli – A Peaceful Hilltop Retreat with a Touch of History Nestled in the serene hills of Kasauli, Christ Church is a beautiful and calming place to visit, especially if you're someone who enjoys peaceful environments and colonial charm. Located at the heart of this quaint hill station, the church stands as a quiet reminder of British-era architecture, with its stunning Gothic design, stained-glass windows, and tall pine trees surrounding it. The church is not just a religious spot but also a perfect place for travelers seeking tranquility. The calmness of the area, the cool breeze, and the scenic views make it ideal for reflection, photography, or simply sitting and soaking in the peace. Being one of the oldest churches in Himachal Pradesh (built in 1853), it carries historical significance too. What makes it special: Situated in a picturesque hill station, surrounded by lush greenery and colonial-era buildings. Offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere, away from the chaos of city life. Great spot for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and nature seekers. Just a short walk from Mall Road, making it accessible for all. One downside to keep in mind is the presence of monkeys in the area. While they generally don’t bother visitors if left alone, it's advisable not to carry food openly or engage with them. Pro tips: Visit during early morning or late afternoon for the best experience. Avoid feeding or teasing monkeys. Carry a camera – the church and its surroundings are truly photogenic. Whether you're in Kasauli for a weekend getaway or just passing through, Christ Church is definitely worth a visit for its timeless charm and peaceful vibes.

On a recent visit to Kasauli, I had the pleasure of visiting Christ Church, and it was a truly serene and memorable experience. We went on a Saturday morning, and to our delight, there was no wait, allowing us to enter and explore at our own pace. The church itself is a beautiful example of neo-Gothic architecture, with a peaceful and timeless atmosphere. Inside, the stunning stained-glass windows depicting Christ, Mother Mary, and St. Francis and St. John are the main attraction. The vibrant colors and intricate details are breathtaking, especially when the light streams through them. It's the kind of artistry that makes you want to sit and contemplate for a while. A unique and touching part of the visit was the opportunity to buy candles for prayer. You simply sit inside the church, and a caretaker comes around to offer candles. There's something deeply personal and humbling about lighting a candle in such a historic and spiritual space. It’s a simple act that adds a layer of personal reflection to the visit. The overall feeling is one of tranquility and calm. It’s a place to escape the hustle and bustle, to find a moment of peace, and to appreciate the history and architecture. The lack of crowds on a Saturday was a major plus, making the experience even more intimate. Whether you are a history buff, a spiritual seeker, or just looking for a quiet place to sit and think, Christ Church is a must-visit in Kasauli.

A truly serene and beautiful spot in Kasauli! This old British-era church, with its stunning Gothic architecture and peaceful atmosphere, offers a perfect escape for quiet reflection. Surrounded by tall deodar trees and close to the market and parking, it’s easily accessible. The stained glass windows and wooden interiors add a magical charm. A must-visit for history lovers and anyone seeking tranquility!

A historic Neo-Gothic church built in 1853, located on Mall Road. Features stunning glass windows imported from England and beautiful architecture set among pine trees. The location offers peaceful valley views with natural pine fragrance. Mostly open on weekends for tourists.

The Christ Church Kasauli situated close to the bus stand, was constructed by the the British family who founded the town of Kasauli itself. The church is a magnificent structure built in the shape of a cross. Set amidst a grove of chestnut and fir trees, the church offers quiet and tranquil atmosphere. Earlier the church was known by the name of Anglican Church. In the year 1970, the church was brought under the aegis of the CNI (Churches of North India). It is currently managed by the diocese of Amritsar. The Christ Church is the prime building in the centre of the heritage area of Kasauli town and as one enters the main town, this is the first building which comes to view. This church was previously an Anglican church and was founded in the year 1844,😇🙏

A very beautiful church built in 1800s by the Britishers. Marvellous architecture, very similar to other churches established by the Britishers in various hill stations across India. The church is open from morning till a little post sunset. The church has guards ensuring one doesn't litter it and create nuisance. There is a washroom and parking nearby. The church is very close to the basement parking at kasauli i.e. the moment you enter the hill station fee barrier. A must go, once you are here.

Hiking Trails
Gilbert Trail is a picturesque nature path that winds through the lush hillsides of Kasauli, offering diverse birdlife and stunning views of the surrounding valleys. Named after Colonel James Gilbert, who established it during the British rule in India, this trail provides an adventurous hiking experience. Trekkers can expect to traverse dense forests and encounter muddy terrain and overgrown plants that may pose some risk, but the trail rewards them with breathtaking vistas of valleys and hills.
Great trek with mesmerizing views. This is a must go trail if you're around Kasauli and a nature lover. On the trail, there aren't many shops, so carry water and snacks (and pls keep the trail clean). There's a nice view of sunset at the end of the trail. Along the way, you'll come across serene views, so enjoy the walk.

A Serene Stroll Through Nature: Gilbert Trail Kasauli Gilbert Trail in Kasauli offers a truly peaceful escape into nature, earning a solid four-star rating. It's a fantastic spot for those looking to unwind and soak in the tranquility of the hills. Be prepared for a walk! While you can either walk or hire a cab from the main parking area to the starting point, you'll still need to put in about 300 meters of walking to truly immerse yourself in the trail. The path is well-defined, and you'll often find people stopping to take photos, capturing the stunning views and serene surroundings. It's easy to see why – the lush greenery and fresh air are incredibly invigorating. The real charm of Gilbert Trail lies in its quietude. It’s a very peaceful place, perfect for a leisurely stroll, birdwatching, or simply enjoying the calm away from the bustling town. Just remember to carry your own food and water, as there are no shops or facilities along the trail. This is a purely natural experience, and being self-sufficient will enhance your enjoyment.

I recently visited Gilbert Trail with a group of six friends, and it was such a wonderful experience that I felt compelled to share. From the moment we arrived, the serene atmosphere provided a perfect escape from the city's hustle. The trail itself is impeccably maintained—wide, clean, and paved, making it easy for all seven of us to walk side-by-side without any trouble. We spent the entire time chatting and laughing while enjoying the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and lush landscape. The peaceful sounds of nature and the shade from the trees created a truly tranquil backdrop for our catch-up session. What we appreciated most was how the trail caters to everyone. Whether you're looking for a vigorous walk or a leisurely stroll, the flat terrain is accessible and enjoyable. We noticed many families, joggers, and other small groups, all sharing the space respectfully. There are also plenty of benches along the way, which was great for when we wanted to pause, sit together, and just soak in the natural beauty. It was the ideal blend of light exercise, beautiful scenery, and quality time with friends. I cannot recommend Gilbert Trail enough for anyone looking to spend a refreshing few hours outdoors. We left feeling rejuvenated and are already planning our next visit

Sunset Point in Kasauli is a popular destination for nature lovers and couples seeking romantic views. Located near the Kasauli Club, this lookout offers breathtaking vistas of the sun setting behind the majestic Himalayan mountains. Visitors can also enjoy sunrise views from this point, making it an ideal spot to start the day. The area surrounding Sunset Point is known for its misty wooded peaks and tranquil valleys, providing a serene atmosphere for quiet walks and photography opportunities.
A beautiful experience, and actually magical which will leave you confused whether it's dawn or dusk. A easy walk about 30 mins to one hour, but you won't feel the pinch. As the walk is through beautiful ancient british era bungalows and trees, and flowers blooming. Just near sunset point is a small cafe. I didn't like cafe much as it was filled with plastic (selling items). The walk was beautiful and so was the timing. It felt like looking at a sea with mountains, and the sun dipping. We were there for an hour until the sun finally went in. Beware of the monkeys, don't feed them please. Don't try to shoo them either, just walk your path and they would be fine. Please don't litter this beautiful place, the army takes in a lot of effort to keep it open to the rest of country. We should respect that.
WinNie — Google review
I've been visiting Kasauli Sunset Point regularly over the past 15 years — around 15 to 20 times — and it never loses its charm. This spot holds a special place in my heart for its peaceful and calming atmosphere. The serenity here is unmatched, especially on quiet weekdays when you can truly absorb the beauty of nature without distractions. The view during sunset is breathtaking, and if you’re lucky to catch it on a cloudy day, the place turns magical — almost surreal. The best time to visit is from September to December, when the weather is pleasant and the skies are clear. Tip: Try to avoid weekends (Saturday & Sunday), as the place tends to get crowded with tourists from nearby states. On such days, the peaceful charm fades and the area feels more like a regular park rather than a serene hill station. If you're someone who appreciates quiet moments and scenic beauty, make sure to plan your visit during weekdays. Kasauli Sunset Point is truly a gem — a peaceful escape that deserves to be treated with care and respect.
Amit K — Google review
One of the most beautiful sunset views I’ve ever seen—peaceful hills, glowing skies, and a calm vibe that’s hard to describe. It's nature’s therapy. I visited on a weekend and found it a bit crowded, so try going on a weekday for a quieter experience. There are two small eateries nearby for chai and snacks—simple but perfect. ✨ Tips: – Arrive 20–30 mins before sunset for the best spot – Wear a light jacket (it gets breezy) – Avoid weekends if you prefer less crowd – Carry your camera—every angle is a wallpaper
Nitin S — Google review
A peaceful spot offering beautiful valley views, especially during sunset. Located 3 km from Mall Road - 2 km by taxi and 1 km walk required. The area is well-maintained by the Air Force and a small play area. Arrive 20-30 minutes early as the sunset happens quickly.

The place has a really nice atmosphere and peaceful vibes. It’s surrounded by natural beauty and is known for its amazing sunset view. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see the sunset properly because the weather was bad that day. Still, it felt refreshing to visit — definitely worth coming back on a clear day!

A Golden Farewell at Sunset Point, Kasauli Sunset Point in Kasauli truly lives up to its name, offering a spectacular view as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple. It's a must-visit for anyone in Kasauli seeking a tranquil and picturesque experience. Getting there is quite easy. You can enjoy a pleasant walk from the main parking area, which is a great way to take in the serene surroundings. Alternatively, taxis are readily available to drop you closer to the viewpoint, making it accessible for everyone. The sunset itself is the main draw here, and it's absolutely mesmerizing. The panoramic views of the valleys and distant peaks make for a stunning backdrop, perfect for photography or simply soaking in the natural beauty. A crucial tip: Don't bother visiting on a cloudy day! The entire purpose of the point is to witness the sunset, and if the sky is overcast, you'll be left disappointed. Plan your visit for a clear evening to ensure you get the full experience. Be prepared when you go, as there are no shops or vendors at Sunset Point. Remember to carry your own water bottles and any snacks you might need to stay hydrated and energized while you enjoy the view. Overall, a highly recommended spot for a beautiful end to your day in Kasauli!

Nice point to view nature and deep valley , must go ahead till the end, there is a rain shelter, go further behind it and see the magic, although rainy days are best to see but if you're before peak afternoon you can still enjoy the pleasant views

If you're in Kasauli, you simply can't miss this. Watching the sunset from this point is a breathtaking experience. Seeing the sun dip behind the hills and paint the whole sky in shades of orange, pink, and red is just magical. It's the perfect way to end the day. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, with a cool breeze and a panoramic view of the valleys below. It makes you feel so calm and connected to nature. Whether you're a tourist or a local, making your way here for the evening is 100% worth it. It’s the highlight of Kasauli!

Aye I'm on vacation A must to visit point in Kasauli which is just 2.5 hours drive from Chandigarh. The newly made highway between Kalka, Parwanoo and Solan is very well maintained especially during night drive. But as you enter Kasauli and heading towards the Sunrise Point, the road built quality is quite poor. But the awesome weather and chill winds will excide you the most. One is pushed to bring his Crush to this place to enjoy the happiest moment.

Nestled atop the Kasauli Regency, Hangout - Rooftop Bar and Lounge is a vibrant destination that perfectly blends stunning hillside views with an energetic atmosphere. This trendy rooftop bar not only serves delectable Indian cuisine but also offers a fantastic selection of cocktails to sip while enjoying the lively beats from their DJ. The open-air terrace, adorned with chic modern furniture and a neon-lit bar counter, creates an inviting space for both relaxation and celebration.
We went to hang out on a Sunday night and were treated to an amazing open mike! Local artists gave incredible performances and left everyone with goosebumps. It was such a great and welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt encouraged and comfortable to share their talents. The drinks and food were excellent and the staff was more than helpful and polite. Nestled in the heart of Kasauli's Heritage Market, Mom's Kitchen is a cozy and clean cafe known for its delicious home-cooked food. The place is popular for its hot parathas and momos, offering a taste that feels just like home. Despite being small, it's a great spot to hang out with friends. The Indo-Chinese cuisine here is particularly famous, with dishes like Paneer Steam Momos and Spring Rolls receiving high praise for their freshness and flavor.
"Mom's Kitchen" in Kasauli's Heritage Market is a hidden gem that exceeded my expectations in every way! The owner's warmth and humility are infectious, making you feel like you're dining with family. The tea is divine, and the Siddu, freshly steamed to perfection, is a must-try. The prices are reasonable, and the service is top-notch. What truly sets them apart is the personalized attention to repeat customers, making you feel like a part of their extended family. If you're looking for authentic Himachali flavors and exceptional hospitality, look no further than Mom's Kitchen. Tried this restaurant based on its high ratings, but honestly, it was a big letdown. When I asked for recommendations, the lady at the counter suggested the most expensive dishes—Chicken Lollipop and Butter Garlic Chicken Momos. I went with Butter Garlic momos and also tried the Kurkure Momos, but none of them tasted good. There's no flavour of garlic in butter garlic momos. Both the momos were bland and completely lacked flavor. I also ordered a hot coffee (₹100), which was equally disappointing. It didn’t even taste like proper coffee. To be honest, you’d get a better coffee by using an instant sachet with hot water. Lemon soda was also disappointing. Overall, the food was not worth the price or the hype. I wouldn’t recommend this place—it’s just not worth it. The rates are really high as per the food standards!!

Rating for Taste/Quality/Portion out 5 each Had - Siddu (2/2/5): I could experience the sand particle while chewing and filling tasted not so good. - Noodles (5/5/5): Excellent in quality as all vegitables tasted really fresh and taste was amazing. - Chicken momos (3/5/4) - Taste could have been a lot better and quantity should have been 8 instead of just 6 pieces.

If you’re ever in Kasauli, do visit this little gem of a place — Mom’s Café. It’s a cozy, beautiful café run by a wonderfully warm and hospitable lady who makes you feel instantly at home. The food is absolutely scrumptious and delicious, and hygiene is clearly taken care of, which adds to the comfort. Everything at Mom’s Café is worth trying, but my personal favourites — and absolute must-tries — are the momos, especially the butter garlic momos, along with the honey chilli cauliflower. Each dish is packed with flavour and cooked with so much love. A perfect little spot in Kasauli for great food and an even greater experience! 🌟🍜✨

A cozy little cafe in the Heritage market which makes you feel instantly warm, romantic and cozy at the same time. And all the messages on the walls just make you feel all mushy and hazel eyed. Add to that the amazing hospitality of Deep bhaiya and wonderful food by the chefs and you are in a place that calms your senses in every way

Rudra Cafe offers a unique and pleasant atmosphere, making it a great place to relax. While the momos were just okay for the price, the noodles were a standout – delicious and a generous portion size, easily enough for two people to share. The service is friendly, but be prepared for potential delays, especially during peak hours when the cafe gets busy. If you're looking for a good noodle dish in a nice setting, Rudra Cafe is worth a visit. People have made Skeches in tissue and that are pasted in all the wall giving it different unique vibe.

This cute little cafe stole the show of our kasauli's trip. The whole market was rubbishly expensive while this cafe rate, taste, and hospitality of owner was truly good. Seeing reviews people liked saddu, momos but my request is to try Laphing once. Taste is good. Dont try if you're not into spicy 🌶🌶. We purchased 2 cargos and 2 pair of socks. I am currently using cargos and track pants. Writing this review after using 6 months.

Tucked away in the misty hills of Kasauli, Taste of Tibet is a delightful escape for both the curious travellers and seasoned foodies. This cute place is located near the famous Christ Church and offers an array of Tibetan & Bhutanese dishes. The star of the show here was undoubtedly their Thukpa:- A hearty, soul-warming noodle soup which was perfect in the rainy weather. Rich in flavour and brimming with vegetables and spices, it striked the perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. The broth was super delicious, and the handmade noodles added that perfect chewy texture. I also gave a shot to their Pan fried vegetable gyozas and paired them with a chilled Apple Chinar beer which elevated the entire experience.  It was not just a meal, it was a taste of Tibet in Kasauli itself. With warm hospitality, Tibetan prayer flags fluttering around, and the scent of simmering spices in the air, I would highly recommend each one of you to visit Taste of Tibet. Happy eating.

A perfect Tibetan, Korean, and Bhutanese restaurant located near the church. The restaurant offers fine dining with all authentic dishes available. Customers can also purchase Tibetan souvenirs at this location. The owner is a humble and down-to-earth person. This is a must-visit restaurant.

We were looking for hotels, when we located this restaurant and Small Tibet Market shop in basement. We went there to find something from market, but was surprised by seeing rush there for restaurant. Restaurant and market is at same space. They have got around 4-5 tables for sitting. We tried Veg Momos. This is 1st time, our group liked Veg Momos. Their side chutney was too yum. We also tried their Fruit beer on their recommendations. I found it ok ok type. They cook everything on order, so it takes time, but its worth to wait. Staff is very humble, friendly. We asked them about hotel recommendations, they themselves called few hotels and checked rooms availability for us. Wi-Fi is also there on free basis.

Very good food. Very tasty. Lot of variety. Good quantity. Bad service and hardly proper space to sit. No network too. But they have WiFi.

Great place to have good food. As the name suggest it has all kinds of Tibetan dishes and it's kinda resturant cum souvenir shop..you can buy stuffs for friends n family as gifts. There is no entry for vehicles except the local ones on that road. So, either you can park the vehicle on the paid parking site or you can ask them to allow you take your vehicle to the restaurant.( Note: the resturant is just 1 min or less walk from the parking point)

Was expecting some good food but seems like chefs and staff working in kitchen is already relying on youtube recipes only!

Very bad experience in this restaurant We had ordered chicken starter. They served uncooked and when we told us they told us that they make malai tikka warm in the microwave and send again making it very hard and uneatable. Overall very bad experience Never go here. It's better to eat street food instead of visiting doctor after eating here. They had water bottle without expiry and nrp date and charge us rs 50 for it.
