Sensorio is a captivating 15-acre light show located in Paso Robles, California. The main attraction, known as the Field of Lights, features over 58,800 fiber-optic stemmed spheres that gently illuminate the landscape with an array of changing colors. This immersive art experience is the largest artwork created by artist Bruce Munro to date.
Visited on a Friday night with 6 adults. Purchased tickets in advance (applied $2 off with our hotel's discount code). Arrived around 7 PM. Found a nice firepit table near the live band. Ordered from the food truck, got some wine, and relaxed for a couple hours before it got dark. Around sunset, walked through the field of lights - beautiful scenery. We enjoyed most of the installations and music. A couple food/drink carts throughout the experience. Some benches and tabled areas throughout. Overall, it was a nice experience. I would recommend to others but probably wouldn't return myself.

We went on a Sunday night! This place was just spectacular. We were able to catch the sunset and also watch a band at the courtyard before the park opened. I was amazed on how they put all the lights in the middle of the field. You can’t go wrong on taking beautiful pics in every angle.
Mr B — Google review
At first, I thought the tickets were pricey, but after seeing the production, I realized it was well worth it! I enjoyed the whole experience, from listening to the live music to strolling through all the light exhibits. This place is a must-see if you go to Paso Robles. The only thing that would have made this place better is if there was a nice sit-down restaurant. The Mexican food truck, bar, and cafeteria food didn't hit the mark for me, but I wouldn't remove any stars because the experience was all about the lights.

Really cool experience. I went during a colder time of year but it was still nice. Lots of parking and easy to get to. They have a really cool place to get drinks and food. A few food trucks there too. Next to the main building there’s places to sit and sometimes they’ll have someone performing on the stage. The lights are amazing at night. There’s a few areas besides the light flowers that you can see. It was so cool and fun to just go see. I think it’s a cool date spot. Can also get some drinks there and walk around. Overall a cool place to go and I definitely recommend the trip
EMT G — Google review
What a fun night! Highly recommend Sensorio for a relaxing evening. The dazzling lights, chill music, delicious food, and tasty drinks. All you need to do is bring interesting friends! 😉
Beth B — Google review
Been to this place a few times. Easy walking trails and there is always something a bit new. If you like lights and experience and exploring, this is your place. If you want the full experience get a terrace experience where there are fire places overlooking the venue. Pretty cool if it’s a cool evening. Remember layers for dressing as it can be warm when you get there and chilly when you leave.

Amazing art installations for the imagination — simply magical and so well done. Highly highly recommend. We went on a Friday night of 4th July and even saw fireworks in the distance:) super romantic date spot — patron margarita was delicious! Dress in layers, gets cool when sun goes down. We came a bit before sunset :)
Rachel — Google review
Fantastic art installation. I visited on a Friday and caught a great live band—general admission was worth it. I arrived at 6:30 pm, relaxed by the fireplace and cozy fire pits with drinks and food while watching the sunset, then toured the exhibits. Plenty of seating and friendly staff made it easy to navigate.

Tin City is a vibrant and evolving industrial community located in Paso Robles. It's home to a variety of young, creative wineries, eateries, and breweries that offer unique tasting experiences. Visitors can explore boutique wineries like Herman Story Wines, Desperada, Levo Wine, ONX, and Giornata for an array of wine varietals. Additionally, Tin City Cider Co. offers dry-hopped ciders on tap while BarrelHouse Brewing Co.
So glad I finally got to visit Tin City on a Sunday morning/afternoon in July. We were driving back to Fresno from Cayucos and decided to do one Paso wine stop and Tin City seemed like the best bet since we didn’t have reservations. We walked around the area seeing what was available and at a few mins till 11am it was pretty quiet but a few places seemed open and ready for business. We saw a “wine tasting walk ins welcome sign” and ended up at the most friendly, chill, and delicious tasting room for La Perdignus Wine. There’s so many places I want to check out next time I get to Tin City. We learned from another tasting room employee that the Tin City website is not updated so it’s best to go to each business’ website to confirm. For example, Fableist wines is listed on the Tin City website but they are no longer at Tin City. I’d love to plan a trip back here and line up reservations ahead of time. All in all such a cool place and awesome concept.

Nice slow easy paced area. Many choices for a meal and a great spot to try micro breweries. There is one particular spot, Tin City Cider which I really enjoyed. Since I had never tried it, I ordered a flight of ciders and then ordered a glass of what I enjoyed. The ciders were nothing like what you buy at stores such as "Stella Cider". I guess what I'm trying to say is, there not as sweet and much more flavor...

Great place for families and friends. Waterfall outside. They have an amphitheater and concerts. Large selection of great beer. The food truck is amazing. We got the "Boots &Spurs Smash Burger " American cheese, pickled jalapeños, BBQ sauce, with onion rings on it, and chopped bacon bits. Must try. They have a large menu to try and we'll be back.
Robert D — Google review
Everything was good, but the single malt, as well as lemonade and passionfruit/orange/guava cocktails were our favorites. Delicious. While we were there, a local was picking up her big weekly flat of lemonade seltzer. We may need to grab a flat next time we are in town.
Mr. G — Google review
You could spend your entire day here. In the several buildings there is all you need by way of food and drink (wine and beer). Plenty of parking in nearby lots.

Such hip vibes with 30 different wineries. Has great vibes and good foods as well we will come back for this town for try another wineries we couldn’t try !

Museums
Studios on the Park is a one-of-a-kind art gallery and studio located in downtown Paso Robles. It offers visitors the chance to observe skilled artists at work, with opportunities for hands-on participation. The space also features galleries showcasing finished pieces and exhibitions dedicated to various mediums such as printmaking and photography. As a nonprofit organization, Studios on the Park is committed to promoting visual arts through educational programs for both children and adults, while also hosting quality exhibitions by artists from around the world.
We had a Wonderful experience at Studios on the Park in Paso Robles! My husband, Peter, an artist himself, and I visited after a delightful lunch nearby. The art center, nestled in the heart of historic downtown Paso, is a nonprofit open studios art haven. Studios, galleries, a gift store, and space for classes make it a vibrant hub. Peter, keen on exhibiting his work, received such warm reception despite the staff being busy changing exhibits. They generously took time to explore his art and discuss potential opportunities. The center itself is a spacious, modern gem with high exposed ceilings. The viewing rooms are impressive, offering a comfortable space to appreciate the art. What sets it apart is that artists actively create on-site, infusing the space with vibrant energy. The friendliness of the people and the pet-friendly atmosphere, welcoming our dog Sophie, added to the overall charm. We highly recommend Studios on the Park for art enthusiasts and creators alike!

I am saddened to hear that the high school artists displaying their art work are not getting paid for their art work once sold! My granddaughter has been waiting over a year for payment on 2 art pieces she sold. SHES NEVER BEEN PAID. These kids deserve better than this. Even the high-school art teacher refuses to send any students art work to this studio. Something needs to change
Henry — Google review
My sister, my 2 retired racing greyhounds, and I visited Studios on the Park the Friday after Christmas. The variety and quality of the art was impressive, but the warm welcome we all received from the artists and staff truly made the visit special. I was also impressed by the space dedicated to teaching art to kids and to displaying art created by local students. If you're taking a break from wine tasting, be sure to stop in and tour the Studios on the Park.

This is a beautiful art space in downtown Paso Robles, featuring original art in a variety of styles and media. In addition to the gallery exhibitions and events, you can visit with working artists in their studios. Many visitors are surprised to learn how affordable real art is, and Studios On The Park is a great place to begin or add to your art collection. You'll also want to check out the gift shop, which is one of the best-kept shopping secrets in Paso. My wife and I love visiting Studios whenever we're downtown for dinner or going to the city park.

I ADORE this place .. it's fun to pop in and visit, get some inspiration, do some gift shopping and see what's new. Their once a month art after dark is a great date night and easy, right on the square, close to dinner and a movie! This is a local GEM

The Estrella Warbird Museum, located at the Paso Robles Municipal Airport in California, is a rapidly growing military aviation museum. It is dedicated to preserving and restoring military aircraft, vehicles, and memorabilia from different eras. Visitors can explore a diverse collection that includes early-year aircraft, retired fighter jets, antique ambulances, and modern missiles. The museum also houses artifacts such as pilot licenses issued by the FAA and personal items carried into combat.
We visit Paso Robles often, but never for five nights, as we did December 31-January 4, 2025. You can only visit so many wineries, so we decided to see what's changed at this museum. Who doesn't like looking at airplanes and classic cars anyway? This museum has many exhibits, is clean, and seems to be well run. There are several docents in key areas to answer any questions you may have about the displays. Everyone is very friendly and down to earth. Bottom line is it's still a great place to spend a couple hours and learn some history of our great country.
Mark M — Google review
We were pleasantly surprised by how much this place has. The number of cars, planes, artillery, guns, and history was surprising and they do a good job displaying everything. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They had detailed descriptions on most exhibits and it was worth the $20 entry fee per person to get in. You could see people actively working on restorations while we were there. It seems like they genuinely care and also want to share the space with visitors.

I'm not a military expert, but enjoy visiting military museums. While vacationing in Avalia Beach, I was looking for places near, and came across the Estrella Warbird Museum. Drove up, and was surprised to find one of the best military and auto museums I've ever seen. They had such a wide variety of displays for all types of military equipment including planes, helicopters, tanks, jeeps, amphibious vehicles. In addition, all kinds of armaments from sidewinders, surface to air, guided weapons, torpedoes, mortar shells and more. Their Auto Museum was equally enjoyable, classic cars, race cars, service station equipment and so much more. I spent over 4 hours visiting, and will visit next time I'm in the area again.

This place is absolutely amazing. They have a huge selection of aircraft and military vehicles and their dioramas are outstanding. If you like anything military, this is the place@

Awesome museum! tons to see! Even if you don't know much about military history/vehicles/planes---the displays are well maintained. You could spend a lot of time here or it is great as a rest stop to stretch your legs and learn something new. Kids would love this place. The classic cars on display are beautiful! Welcoming staff. Nice gift shop.
Sarah A — Google review
Such a fun local museum. Air conditioned. Gift shop. They have a flight simulator that can be reserved in advance. We love flying out of Paso Robles over to Morro Bay in the SIM! We like walking around the planes, tanks, cars, and race cars! There is a lot of history to learn about. You can climb inside of some exhibits to see what it’s like from inside the cockpits. Great for kids and adults! Give yourself 1-3 hours to explore the space.

If you like warplanes, this is the place to visit. Nice gift shop not overpriced, friendly people.

A wonderful place The gift shop manager, who is generally the first to greet you, is so welcoming and helpful. They have so much military and war time artifacts and a 1st class auto display. Both the curator and gift shop manager are very knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions you may have. It was a wonderful day and a good choice for my family and I to visit.

We had a great memorial time, the volunteers were informative and so sweet. We will come back to visit soon. The school house and the basement filled with cars and more were are favorites. Thank you.

This is a must see museum, tucked away in Paso Robles. It’s huge and has so many awesome things to see, including an entire floor dedicated to old, old cars, wagons and horse drawn carriages. I loved it! Adults and kids will enjoy this place. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because we were there on a very rainy day and the parking lot was muddy and the building leaked but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment.

This is such a gem of a museum! I was surprised by how extensive and thoughtfully curated the exhibits were. My husband and I visited last week with our kids, and we were all very impressed. Being half Polish, it was extra fun seeing the Paderewski exhibit. One of the absolute highlights was meeting the wonderful ladies at the front desk. They were not only welcoming but incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the local history that truly brought everything to life. We left feeling inspired and can’t wait to return!

Restaurant
Bar & grill
The Hatch Rotisserie & Bar is a lively and popular spot located in a historic downtown building. It offers a menu of southern-style comfort food with seasonal small and large plates, all cooked to perfection in their wood-fired rotisserie oven. The bar serves up inventive craft cocktails with playful names, making it a go-to destination for both locals and visitors. Additionally, the restaurant's sister establishment, Dellas, is located next door for those who want to explore more culinary delights.
First time here and was very impressed. Went with a bunch of friends and tried a little of everything. The fingerlings and brussel sprouts were my favorite starters. I got the Hatch burger and added the bacon & fried egg, it was SO good! Of course had to try some of the rotisserie chicken as well and was amazing as expected. Definitely will be back to try more of the menu
Dalton A — Google review
The Hatch was recommended by a number of locals, so we knew we had to try it. Sommer made our dinner so delightful - she was helpful and gave us time while being attentive simultaneously. The bar and restaurant were bustling for a Friday night (so a little loud) but service and food timing remained excellent throughout the meal. The Friday special was prime rib (until they run out) so naturally we ordered one. We got the Brussel sprouts to start which were sweet and flavorful but a little overcooked (needed to be more crispy). The grilled bass was a sizable portion but just a touch dry, and the prime rib was under done (asked for medium rare and it was definitely rare. To be fair I KNOW how hard it is to get the right temperature on the right slice of a limited quantity of prime rib, but still…). Overall, decent meal, great cocktails, and the staff was great.
Natalie C — Google review
We’ve been meaning to try The Hatch forever and finally got an early dinner reservation at 5:30 PM. After wine tasting all day, we got hungry early and walked over around 5 PM thinking it wouldn’t be an issue but nope! The restaurant was already packed. The hostesses were super apologetic that they couldn’t seat us right away. I noticed Della’s next door with a full bar and our hostess mentioned they share the same owners, so we hung out there until our seats were ready. A little later she came to get us and sat us at the bar, exactly where we wanted to be! I really love the vibe here. Yes, it gets loud and lively, which might not be for everyone, but I love that whole energy. It’s intimate and fun at the same time. Chandler, our bartender/server, was fantastic. He was busy but still on top of everything and made us excellent cocktails. For Starters we ordered: Grilled Maitake Mushrooms: As a mushroom lover, this was EVERYTHING! These were clean, earthy, nutritious, and prepared perfectly. Believe the rave reviews, they’re so soooo good! Hot Skillet Cornbread: Delicious! Warm, comforting, and my boyfriend is still salty Chandler took the skillet with the last slice he was saving for “dessert.” LMAO. For Entrees: Pan-Seared Trout: 10/10. Perfectly cooked with incredible crispy skin. Instant meal inspo for us! Would absolutely order again. Half Rotisserie Chicken: My boyfriend’s order. Flavor was great, but the chicken was a little on the dry side. The two sauces it comes with complement the dish perfectly though. Pro Tip: Make. A. Reservation. This place books out for a reason! It’s easily one of the most popular restaurants in Paso. We had an excellent experience all around. Amazing food, great service, lively atmosphere. This is an easy favorite and absolutely lives up to the hype!
Karen G — Google review
Went here with a large group and had an excellent experience. The waiter suggested allowing the kitchen to select our food and they did an excellent job. Good variation, excellent flavors, generous portions. Wine list was a bit underwhelming but nice cocktails and great atmosphere. Staff was very accommodating and attentive. Would definitely return.
Jeremy K — Google review
We really enjoyed the hot skillet cornbread and loved the whole rotisserie chicken, it was juicy, smokey and completely delicious. The meal was more than enough for 2 people, probably could feed 3-4.
Eric P — Google review
Food was not very good, especially for the price. One piece of the chicken I ordered was way undercooked and raw in the middle. Otherwise is was just kind bland. The shrimp and grits had a weird sour flavor, the meatloaf was bland as well. Got one sparkling water and the bill was $165 for 3 people. Yikes. You’re better off going to Costco. Service was great tho.
Tim C — Google review
Good spot overall, would loved to have given them 5 stars but we ordered the summer pasta dish and the pasta was so overcooked it was straight mush.
Harrison P — Google review
We've had a few meals here. We love Paso and enjoy the restaurant. Our cocktails were solid, not exceptional. And our server didn't know them well. Chicken and meatloaf were good, the latter a bit dry and the former a bit underdone for my tastes. My wife wanted a glass of cab, but they didn't have anything. That's a miss for wine country in my opinion. We settled for blends, which were good, but the pours were quite meager for $20.

Mexican restaurant
Fish Gaucho is a lively cantina in Paso Robles, offering modern Mexican cuisine and craft cocktails in a rustic-chic setting. The restaurant serves California-fresh seafood, including specialty tacos made with halibut, ahi, and short ribs, as well as fusion dishes like the ahi quinoa bowl and Alaskan halibut with deconstructed elote. Guests can also take advantage of the complimentary corkage on wine.
Outstanding food. The enchiladas were my favorite! We also loved the shrimp ceviche and nachos. Friendly wait staff and food came out quick! One suggestion is to be more upfront about the cost of bottled water, they have complimentary water…but I felt it was a little sneaky about how it was framed at the start.
Dan D — Google review
I was pleased with the quality of the food — the dishes were well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. However, the service delay was notable and quite uncommon based on my experience. At the end of the meal, I ordered a dessert, but the check arrived before the dessert was even served. It took approximately 15 minutes for the dessert to be brought to the table, which disrupted the overall flow and closing of the dining experience. With more efficient service, the level of hospitality could truly match the quality coming out of the kitchen.
Marck B — Google review
First time at Fish Gaucho and it blew us away. I had the short rib enchilada and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. My wife ordered the tuna tacos and loved them, and our son enjoyed his quesadilla. The atmosphere is lively, the service was friendly, and the food quality was top notch. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Paso Robles!
Chris K — Google review
This was our first meal in Paso and it did not disappoint! We ordered a couple of cocktails, the ahi crudo, mango cod tacos, the porkchop, a side of elote, and the flan for dessert. Food was delicious, but we were blown away by the porkchop. Definitely joining our unofficial top 3 list of porkchops we've ever had (the other 2 are Penny Roma and Kothai Republic in SF). Josh was our server and he was great! This will be another spot we have to return to when in the area.
Elizabeth C — Google review
Met some local friends while passing through Paso Robles and they recommended this place. We enjoyed the great service, the pleasing atmosphere, and the delicious food. I have to knock a star off, though, because the table was unpleasantly sticky. I think this happens when varnished wood tables are cleaned with the wrong type of cleaner? Also, there was no salt on the table and the freshly made chips needed salt. These nit picks are really just for the purpose of making an excellent place even better. Another suggestion: please note that the fish in many of the fish tacos is deep fried. I should’ve asked, but just didn’t think of it. I just assumed that it would be grilled fish. So I was disappointed to find that both my taco choices were deep-fried. That being said, they were scrumptious. Especially the pineapple salsa and the pickled red onions.
Courtney C — Google review
So many friends and locals recommended this place and it lived up to the hype! Great seafood and the short rib tacos are delicious too. The oysters were a great deal and so fresh! Some of the best that I’ve had! Also would recommend the Ceviche de Dia. Delicious chunks of fish that were marinated perfectly and so flavorful! For drinks, the Mach 1 was the standout — a bit spicy and spirit forward! Service was friendly and helpful. Great space that is lively and full of cool decor. Also check out Tiki Cane next door for some great tiki drinks!!

Woah… very impressed. Cocktails 💯, food 💯, everything else 💯! We were staying in town for a few days and stoped in by chance on our last night. Very glad we did. Had an impeccable meal on the patio with our dogs. Cannot recommend enough.

worth the hype ? meh, not al all ..,. just an average over priced American restaurant .. specialities tacos at $5 a pop ? -- not worth it .. hanger steak salad? .. again, over salted salad dressing, as in most American restaurants .. my husband left about 1/3 of it on his plate .. hanger steak and short ribs were tasty, but not worth the price .. server was ok, but not very attentive, had to go find the hottest to ask for our check .. its OK to skip this place if you are questioning weather to pay these prices .. Paso Robles has better places to eat in

French restaurant
BL Brasserie, formerly known as Bistro Laurent, has been a beloved fixture in Paso Robles since 1997. The restaurant offers an intimate and unpretentious dining experience with classic French cuisine crafted by Chef Laurent Grangien, who hails from the two-star Michelin restaurant Le Bistrot da Cote in Paris.
Went for lunch. Everything is pretty good. Classic simple French food with fresh materials. I really like the onion soup one of the best but their beet salad is average. Very short lunch menu and not many people when we arrived Friday. Services are attentive. We will be back in the future.

Very quaint establishment with excellent European ambiance. Tremendous wine selections. The mushroom-stuffed ravioli was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted in my life. Creamy, rich, and decadent. Escargot in the shells were perfectly seasoned with bright herbs and melted butter. Mussels delightfully flavorful with shallot and white wine. Attentive and engaged servers and staff. This place is incredible. I will definitely return!

An amazing experience at BL Brasserie! We had just arrived in Paso Robles after a long drive from Healdsburg—and needless to say, I was hangry. We wandered around downtown Paso looking for something that sounded good, but nothing was hitting the mark. On our way back to the car, feeling a little defeated, we passed by BL Brasserie, glanced at the menu, and kept walking. But the smells coming from the restaurant literally stopped me in my tracks—they drew me back in. We were seated immediately and warmly greeted by multiple people. It feels like they work as a team rather than assigning one specific server, which made the service feel seamless and attentive. Marc is an absolute gem—his lovely French accent made it feel like we were dining in a charming Parisian bistro. He offered thoughtful recommendations, and everything we tried was spot on. The burrata salad was fresh, and the burrata itself was outstanding. The salad was a bit overdressed, but that didn’t stop us from devouring it. I ordered the crispy risotto with crab and shrimp—so good! My husband had the gnocchi and thoroughly enjoyed it. And the beignets—oh my. We already love beignets, but these were next level with a surprise apple crème filling. The soft pastry and light cream inside made every bite a delightful surprise. If you're in Paso Robles, don’t hesitate to add this wonderful spot to your list. You won’t be disappointed!

Found this amazing Gem on a corner of downtown Paso. Stumbled in just for a quick bit and ended up cancelling our other dinner plans. The service was exquisite!!! The wine, the oysters , the quail was breath taking. The quail was so delicate, crispy and covered in a sauce I can only describe as savory Carmel. The beef tartare. Oh the beef tartare!!!!! Can’t wait to come back to Paso and spend many more nights at their 4 person bar.

My wife and I had an amazing dinner at BL Brasserie this evening. On our last night in Paso Robles, we were looking for something light and delicious. We were not disappointed! The smoked salmon appetizer with crème fraîche was fantastic! Top notch smoked salmon! We also loved the warm potato and goat cheese salad. The pasta dish had amazingly fresh tomatoes and perfectly done pasta. Macarons for dessert were perfect and the wine list was great. Our waiter was wonderful, and our water glasses were constantly refilled. I wish I could give BL Brasserie 6 stars! We will definitely be back!!

It was VERY DELICIOUS ! I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try a really delicious food. Do not expect huge portions, do not expect cheap vines, but you can expect a high quality evening. Or lunch. It’s not a Michelin type of serving, it’s just a nice ambient, great chief and food!

Italian restaurant
Il Cortile Ristorante is a delightful gem nestled in downtown Paso Robles, where the charm of contemporary Italian cuisine comes alive. This cozy eatery specializes in seasonal dishes, featuring homemade pasta that showcases the culinary expertise of Executive Chef Santos Mac Donald. With a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere, Il Cortile offers an exceptional dining experience that reflects the rich flavors of southern Italy.
My wife and I traveled to Paso Robles to celebrate Valentine’s Day and her birthday. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. We loved the grilled octopus appetizer. You could tell that the pasta from each of our main dishes was homemade. The tiramisu was so light and flavorful. We were so glad that we chose to celebrate Valentine’s Day at this restaurant. It exceeded our expectations.

The best decision to make for a refined, Michelin Star-worthy Italian restaurant in the quaint downtown of Paso Robles. Whatever the reason that brings you through Paso Robles and/or to this little town, don't leave without dining at Il Cortile Ristorante. A taste of Italiono without going to Italy.

Came a highly recommended place and I will forward the same that anyone visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the zucchini blossoms to begin with and journey on to pastas to panna cotta. Being a vegetarian the chef created a concoction of spicy zesty sauce and created a wonderful dish. The truffle ricotta is truly to die for our bunch got seconds of it and was gone in seconds.

We have returned to this restaurant four times. It is our favorite restaurant when visiting. We have dined indoor twice and outdoor twice. We prefer outdoor dining as it is less noisy and stuffy. Echo inside the indoor dining makes it hard to carry out a conversation. Fortunately the food and service are both top notch. It is hard to beat in the area. Prices are also reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber. Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, since it does not have a parking lot. Our go to parking is the bank parking lot. By the time the restaurant opens, the bank is already past its business hours.

Amazing service! Amazing food! Great wine list! We had artichoke soup for the first time - creamy and delicious! Then the stuffed quail and spaghetti with clams, shrimp and bottarga for me - so flavorful and perfectly cooked! Seared scallops and the pork ossobuco for my husband - he said it was sooooo good!! Everything was so tasty and well cooked. Kudos to the chef!! Emily, the hostess, was so gracious, accommodating and helpful. We sat at the bar and Crystal, the bartender, was so attentive, had great recommendations, and excellent service. You have two gems with them. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning! PS - forgot to take photos - just the empty plates!! 😂

Food, service and ambience were outstanding. The filet was cooked perfectly and the homemade pasta was flavorful. The black truffle risotto was delicious and comparable to what I had in Italy. Highly recommend for an upscale experience!

My first, but not last visit, to ll Cortile restaurant. I stopped in Paso Robles on my way back home from a trip to Santa Monica. Decided to search for an Italian restaurant with a good review and found ll Cortile. I had a great dining experience from the receptionist who greeted me to my female server/bar tender, as being alone, I sat at the 4-stool bar area. My server/bar tender was friendly, courteous and helpful with helping me make a decision, on not which wine I should try, but with my dinner choice as well. I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with my dining experience and will make it a point to return for another great meal in the future.

The food was excellent. I tried a eggplant souffle, that was a 5+. The pasta is made fresh in house and all 4 of us loved our pasta dishes. I had a delicious fresh not too sweet chocolate cake with ice cream for desert. They had an excellent wine list also included a nice choice by the glass. The service was excellent. All 4 of us agreed that I'll Cortile was a great restaurant and made for a wonderful evening.

Modern French restaurant
Les Petites Canailles, a charming restaurant in Paso Robles, is the brainchild of Julien and Courtney Asseo. The bistro's name, which means "the little rascals" in French, pays homage to their three children. This farm-to-table eatery offers a relaxed setting where guests can savor sophisticated yet casual French cuisine.
So excited to have vegetarian options for the chef tasting menu. The staff and food were incredible. The sommelier listened to our preferences and was able to recommend a great Burgundy and another local wine (Pius for the win!). We booked last minute with a note about the tasting menu, and 3 birthdays being celebrated - they knew all the details and had sweet birthday cards for us all. The inventive dishes with top notch ingredients made this a highlight of Paso fine dining. The service is impeccable, rivalling fancy French restaurants without the formality that could make you uncomfortable. A place to come back to!

An outstanding dining experience, truly spectacular service, and lively atmosphere. We went with the 'trust us' tasting menu and wine pairing, and it didn't disappoint: every dish was stunningly presented with a creative mix of traditional and unique plates, and the wine pairings were consistently strong. The service was top-notch; our waitress, Nikki, and the sommelier were incredibly attentive, walking us through each course and wine. It's a popular spot as evidenced by how busy it was, so would recommend reservations. Excited to go back!

Booked our anniversary dinner here about 24 days in advance. We heard great things. The night before we got an email stating that we had a bar seating reservation. I filled out the request email then called the restaurant explaining my dilemma. Talked to a manager and he took care of everything. Got us a table had a note at the table wishing us a happy anniversary. Real class act from him and the staff. Now the food. Got the steak tartar and caesar salad to start. Incredible. Entree were also amazing. Book your table well in advance. This place is worth it. From the food to the staff. All worth it.

Les Petites Canailles came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in ensuring that every guest had a memorable meal. The staff went above and beyond to provide recommendations and accommodate any requests, making the experience feel both personal and elevated. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation was evident, showcasing the restaurant’s commitment to high-quality ingredients and culinary excellence. Whether you’re indulging in a multi-course meal or simply stopping by for a glass of wine and small bites, the menu offers something for everyone. The atmosphere further enhanced the experience, blending a cozy yet refined ambiance that makes it perfect for a romantic dinner, a celebratory night out, or an intimate gathering with friends. The décor, lighting, and overall vibe create an inviting space where you can truly savor your meal and enjoy great company. If you’re looking for an outstanding dining experience in the area, I highly recommend visiting Les Petites Canailles. It’s clear why this restaurant has earned such a great reputation, and I’ll definitely be returning.

Just absolute perfection from start to finish! The whole staff was incredibly attentive, professional yet approachable and fun. Service was seamless and effortless. All we had to do was sit back and enjoy. The culinary side of things were mind blowing. The steak tartar was so good we had to order another. Everything on the menu looked so appetizing, the Caesar salad and leeks were so fresh and scrumptious. The vol-au-vent was absolutely divine! The tatertots with caviar were playful yet refined. Overall the whole dining experience was unforgettable and I can’t wait to go back to Paso Robles so I can order the “trust us” menu. LPC is a restaurant masterpiece !

I have heard great things about this place, We went last night (Mon night) had a reservation for 7pm. The place was packed. We were politely greeted by a nice young lady. Upon sitting Tim got us waters right away. It's a small place but quite a few people can fit into the restaurant. Very intimate. Our 7 top was front and center right when you walk in. It is loud in the restaurant since there are no buffers to help with the noise. Kirby was our waitress. She was polite and friendly. Told us the specials of the night and got our orders in. It took a bit to get the starters but it was packed. We had bread and steak tartare for the starters. The bread was just bread and butter nothing special for $9. The steak tartare was great. There was some citrus and the egg drops on top were silky. Great flavors and highlight of the meal as it was the best of what we had for the night. Then came our entrees. I got the Steak Au Poivre, which is an Australian Wagyu steak with French fries, I had it medium. It was tough and chewy. Nothing that you would expect a high end restaurant to serve. Plus the fries were over salted. Not worth the $48 it cost. I've had better at a cheaper price! My BF got the Spring Lamb Two Ways. The pork belly was just okay. The lamb loin was tender but both lacked flavor. And wish there were more veggies. Again not worth the $48. The kids got the burger special which was the Iberia ham and steak blended patty with onion rings. There was a funky sauce that I felt overtook the burger flavors. There were mixed reviews with the table but majority were not into it. Another got the mussels. Again the funky sauce took away from the mussels in my opinion but others liked the sauce and not the mussels. The service during the meal was just okay. Majority of the table didn't have waters for over 20-30 minutes which for a high end restaurant is unacceptable. We had to ask to get more water. She came and checked on us two bites into it but then felt we never needed checked on again until the end. Unfortunately most of us will not want to go back as we felt was not worth it. But there were a couple that liked it and will be back.
