Dinosaur World is a family-friendly outdoor attraction featuring life-sized dinosaur replicas and interactive activities. Located in Cave City, it offers a nostalgic experience amidst other classic roadside attractions. Visitors can explore the park's numerous dinosaur statues, enjoy the themed playground, and participate in fossil digs to uncover treasures like small fossils and shark teeth. The Bone Yard allows guests to excavate a large skeleton from the sand using brushes. Additionally, there are opportunities for gem excavation and educational experiences at the dino museum.
Cute place for adults and children. The park was large enough to make a nice outing, but not too big to walk around comfortably. Overall, I thought it was entertaining and informative. The park itself was clean, admission was fair and the location was good. Plus, they have a HUGE gift shop! I recommend coming here if in the Cave City area.

This is a great place for younger kids. The majority of the dinosaurs are big statues but they fascinated my toddler. The place was clean and well kept up and everyone was really friendly. There is a building with moving dinosaurs which counts be scarier for some kids since it's darker and noisier but my granddaughter lived it. She also loved the playground at the end too.
Barb M — Google review
I would love to give this a higher rating. It's a pretty neat place. Our kiddo enjoyed it. And for the price, it's really a good deal. Our main complaint would be that it was mid September and there were so many cheap Halloween decorations scattered everywhere that it really took away from the experience. Our son was really disturbed most of all by a bloody skeleton that was being run over by a push mower. I'm all for Halloween themed things. It just seemed like this wasn't really the time or the place. Otherwise, it's probably worth a stop in.
Kailey S — Google review
A fun experience for the family. There’s an outdoor garden walk with life-size statues and an indoor area with moving animatronics. We purchased the excavation pass tickets for the kids which let them do gemstone mining and a fossil dig in addition to seeing the park.
Tom S — Google review
This was a fun trip. The younger kids had a good time and really enjoyed the moving dinosaurs. The dinosaurs trail was very informative and great with the Halloween decorations. They did a great job decorating for the holiday! The fossil dig was a little pricey for what you get, but the kids had fun.
Jason M — Google review
This could have been a really great experience but ended up being horrible. The dinosaurs were decorated with very inappropriate Halloween decorations. Every dinosaur exhibit was covered in skeletons. My 2 year old LOVES dinosaurs and would have loved this had it not been for all the skeletons. There were skeletons sitting on the dinosaurs, being eaten by them, hanging by the neck from the trees. Very inappropriate decor for a kids amusement center. Whoever approved those decorations is sick. Very disturbing and ruined the experience.

This was a great place to visit. Life size dinosaurs and super informative throughout the site. It's a nice walk, recommend wearing comfortable shoes. If you have young children that are fascinated with dinosaurs this is definitely a place to bring them. There's a nice picnic table area where we sat and had a snack we brought. The gift shop is AMAZING and NOT JUST FOR KIDS. Lol. I got a few stones that were pretty incredible if you're into that. Celestine and citrine. Beautiful huge Amethyst stones. To top it off, they have a small yet really inviting indoor museum that showcases a few dinosaurs. Cute area with a few outdoor activities. Overall, it's definitely a fun place to experience. It was super memorable. FYI: I would just pay when you get there. They have a special right now and in person it's cheaper. I purchased my tickets online thinking I was saving. When we got there, I was pleasantly surprised we could've saved a bit more. Just pay when you get there. :)

Drove past this place many times and never stopped. Thankfully, we got tickets to the Tyler Childers pop up show and drove down. Felt like a kid again going through the shop on the way into the show. Everyone was very friendly and the place was very clean. The show was incredible and was the perfect setting for fun evening out.

Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum is Kentucky's first and largest wildlife museum, spanning over 14,000 square feet. The museum features rare and exotic taxidermied animals such as lions, tigers, bears, insects, snow leopards, and more. Visitors can explore the air-conditioned exhibits on rainy or hot days to see these animals in natural-like environments. Additionally, there is a butterfly room showcasing bugs and butterflies.
I had never heard of this museum BUT I love animals of any kind. My wife took me here as a surprise and I can't help but thank her so much for this treat. All animals are appropriately represented in their habitats and in tasteful poses. I really like big cats and bears and they have amazing exhibits. The building and layout of museum is 1970s swanky cool, I love the architecture. The gift shop was filled with vintage items from the 1970s to present. ( i left with a shirt and refrigerator magnets and a pencil made of rocks) 10/10 recommend

We went to every cave in the south central KY area, but this place was my absolute favorite attraction. I'm a huge taxidermy / oddities fan, and this collection is unlike anything I have ever seen. The museum space itself is surreal and beautiful, and of course the woman working that day was so sweet and welcoming. Getting to walk the whole place alone was so special, I cant wait to come back
Jane A — Google review
I’d love to know more about whoever put the amazing bug collection together. Moths, beetles, and stick bugs, so many specimens from all over the world, and in such good condition! Then there’s the taxidermy critters. It’s fun to wander around and check out all the stuffed animals. I kinda wonder who decided to stuff a skunk or three. Of course the moose is epic, as are the bears, but the little critters are fun, too. I’m glad we made time for this stop. If you like stuffed toy animals, particular ones that are life-like, you’ll love the gift shop. It has all sorts of fun trinkets for the folks back home.
Ruth A — Google review
Couldn't go the full 5 stars due to the service at front desk. It doesn't hurt to smile, especially when a family drove 455 miles to visit your location while viewing other stops like "caves!" The history & detail was AWESOME though & really worth the while and attitude at the front.........she must've had a mean game of Solitaire goin' on her phone that morning!! Oh yeah and way too overpriced!!
Steven M — Google review
This reminds me a lot of Call of the Wild in Gaylord, MI. This is something every kid will love! Admission price was reasonable , and the staff is very friendly. The displays are very well kept, and look great!
Sonic D — Google review
You will pay an additional 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. Mammoth Cave Wildlife Museum is a very interesting place, and rather unique even on a national level. It houses a very large collection of taxidermied animals (and amazing butterflies and bugs) exhibited in various appropriate displays with a “cave-like” feel as the overall setting. You will see animals up close you never could in person (the Moose is HUGGEEE, and so is the polar bear), and the level of excellence executed (no pun intended) is astounding; many of the animals truly look alive. I personally enjoyed the experience as it was quiet with not at lot of people, so it gave me time to really take it all in. And in all honesty $8.95 is more than a bargain. With that being said, the collection itself is probably fifty years old or so, and while 99% of the displays look very fresh and clean, there are a few animals that have fallen prey (again, no pun intended lol) to time itself. I did have to chuckle a bit that they offer a season pass (do dead animals change much?), but in all honesty, now that I think about it, it’s kinda one of those places where you can just “be”, and think, and de-escalate from the day, if you know what I mean; a peaceful, quiet place. All in all I’m glad that I went and I look forward to going again at some point.
Collin M — Google review
Could not be more pleased with our visit here! Some of the reviews will point out how the exhibits are dated and time-worn, but many fail to recognize how costly and delicate professional taxidermy can be, especially for rarer animals like jaguars or polar bears. What a treat to be able to visit such a collection! My five year old and nine year old both had an amazing time walking through and examining the features of each animal! It was definitely in much better condition than we expected based on other reviews! Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys animals!

Explore the wonders of Onyx Cave and Rock Shop, a subterranean marvel discovered in 1971 and opened for tours in 1973. Embark on a 30-minute guided tour to witness breathtaking formations like cave coral, cave bacon, Waterfall Wall, and Drippy Room. The on-site rock shop offers an array of rocks from around the world, including geodes, fossils, minerals, and jewelry.
Such an awesome tour and experience! Groups are small 10-12 people so you can actually hear the guide. Cave formations were amazing and the accidental cave find was a cool story to learn! You’ve gotta see this cave! Passage does have steep staircases and can be slick, however, our tour consisted of kids (6years old) and an older woman (60 years) who were able to make it through. Tour guide was super upbeat and knowledgeable!

I'm really glad we didn't pass by this place. The rock shop by itself was cool and had a lot of interesting pieces. The cave tour was great and our guide was really informative. Aside from seeing amazing cave formations, we were able to spot some creatures along the way (salamanders, spider, and cricket). It was just our family on the tour so we were able to take it all in without the pressure of a big group rushing us along.
Alex C — Google review
My kids and I discovered our LOVE fo cave tours one summer ( TX is HOT 🔥 but caves are always cool lol) and have enjoyed them since. Since this was our first time in Kentucky, we HAD to stop in the Cave City area. Mammoth Cave was closed (due to holiday) but this was a GREAT option for beginners. Easy walk, interesting features and I LOVED OUR GUIDE, Laura.
Jehan B — Google review
I did extensive research across Kentucky and Tennessee for cave tours that were less strenuous for my party. Since Mammoth Cave was closed because of the government shutdown, this was our only option. I appreciated how much detail they provided on their website about the amount of time (~30 min) and stairs (60 total, ~30 at a time). However, I wish they had specified the tight squeezes required at at least 4 locations along the path and low ceilings (see image below). Something to be aware of for tall and large people. We stopped here as a rest stop on our road trip for the cave tour, but also enjoyed looking through their rock shop. We waited 15 minutes for the tour to start, which was great considering we didn't buy tickets in advance. We had 4 people total on our tour, which was the ideal amount. We enjoyed our tour guide Jordan, he was knowledgeable and had a clear passion for the cave, it's history, and geology.

We came during the off season, not sure what to expect, and we had a blast!! This was a three generation crew, and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our trip through this cave. From three years old to 65, the stairs were doable, the squeezes were possible for someone wearing a 3XL, and my 6 foot tall brother in law wasn’t hitting his head the whole time. I appreciated how brief and well light this was. The folks in the gift shop were very kind and answered any questions we had before, during, and after the tour. Cute souvenirs too. Before you come to this city, check what is open or closed during the off season. Highly recommend staying at Jellystone down the road.

Friendly staff , loved the shop and items they had out ! I got me a little turtle to support The TurtleMan Foundation and also had a blast with the cave tour and sifting through their buckets they had available!! The cave was beautiful and the tour guide was very passionate about the stories behind each part of the cave we were shown ! 10/10 will be recommended friends & family !!

This rock shop is phenomenal. They had some of the best labrodorite I've ever seen. The lady who owns the shop walked around with me and my daughter for about an hour showing me all her favorite pieces. Her and the other guy who worked there were very knowledgeable and gracious! Ty so much! We had a blast!! We will definitely come back for the tour!

Onyx Cave was AMAZING!! Totally different from the Mammoth Cave experience. . so many incredible formations right next to you! We left Mamoth Cave and came here & it was honestly way cooler!!! Don't miss this stop!!! The staff was great ! Phoebe was so sweet & led us on a private tour! The rock shop had lots of cool gifts at great prices! Highly recommend stopping in & taking an Onyx Cave tour!

Guntown Mountain is a mountaintop park in Cave City that offers a glimpse into pioneer times with its Wild West Town. Visitors can experience simulated gunfights and take tours of a "haunted" hotel. While the entire park is not currently open, the souvenir shop remains accessible to guests. The attraction has recently undergone renovations under new ownership, receiving praise for its entertaining gunfights and stunt shows.
Very very great place now with new owner! Gunfights are awesome. And the stunt show was so funny! They have a small gift shop at the top, the woman in the gift shop at the top of the mountain named Lillie very sweet! Could use some more items at the top gift shop. She treated us with great hospitality... Not sure if the chairlift will ever be running again, but the older gentleman driving up the mountain was awesome! Very friendly people! Highly recommend We Will be back!

We came here on a weekend trip it was my wife's birthday weekend. We really enjoyed this place she got to relive some childhood memories while it was my first time there. We had a blast. I especially liked the stunt show it was my favorite. We will definitely be coming back for a visit.

Early in the season, and after ups and downs of ownership and COVID-19, back in business. Was slow in between the gun fights - about every 50 minutes, not a lot to do in between, but the gun fights and the outside entertainment was pretty good. Their entertainment staff are very social with the public and do well for a small establishment. They do have some inside things to do for the kids, sifting sand for gemstones, old time photos, a little browsing for a possible souvenir, etc. I do hope they are able to build this into what it once was, they do have the potential - just patience needed possibly. No longer have the chairlift seats to the top, only via cart or truck by staff, buildings in need of upkeep, additional staffing really needed - which they are working on. Only had three can-can dancers and two were teenage girls.

So Happy to see this Historic place back up and running. The new owners are doing a great job at rebuilding Guntown Mountain. My Family and I went there this passed Saturday the 28th of August. And we had a Blast. Great job to all who had a hand in recreating the Old Wild West Town.

Glad to see this reopened! My 6 yo loved the magic show just like I did in the 80's! The other shows were great too. Cant wait to see where this goes. They still have a lot of work to do on the smaller buildings and the chair lift but I understand its not easy resurrect an old theme park that has been deserted for years and falling apart. My daughter loved it and got to see live action gun fights too! Where else can you see that these days!
Tom A — Google review
We took our 5 grandchildren here yesterday. To say it was an adventure was an understatement. We had our 2 Grandsons and 3 Granddaughters. We went up so they could watch the gunfight. We knew the boys would love it. The girls, well one of them wanted to go to Unicorn World. No, there is no such thing, but she is 4. While waiting for the show they had a nerd fight, road motorized animals, just hung out and enjoyed the time. They announced the show would be starting in 10 minutes so we went and got a seat. The seats got filled so the kids sat on the edge of the sidewalk with us directly behind them. The show started and the the gunfire. Our oldest granddaughter (6 almost 7) turned around and was squalling she was terrified. Then the 4 year old turned around screaming: I want to go home. Within seconds the 5 year old was crying. I gathered them up and took them in the saloon. Now their fathers and Grandfather all hunt and shoot guns. I don't know if they were just tired, but no amount of telling them it was fake was working. A nice gentleman that works there gave them each a ring pop. My husband and the boys came in when it was over and the boys loved it. I got a play by play. They all got ice cream sat around a table and smiled and laughed. My youngest grandson wanted his picture made with a cowboy so we went and found the particular one he liked. Myself, him, and the granddaughter that had the biggest come apart went to get the picture. The particular cowboy was gracious and went and got his hat and gun. Well when she saw the gun she fell apart again. My Grandson however loved that he got to hold it and get his picture made. He kept saying to her: It is fake. We went back in the Saloon and the band started. They were wonderful. The kids eating ice cream dancing and then a man dressed in a bear costume came in. The kids thought that was great. He came to the table and danced with them. Then took the granddaughter that had been so upset up front to dance. Her face was still red from crying, but she started smiling and really enjoyed it. I told my husband the bear is the cowboy she was so frightened of and my Grandson said: Yes, it is he has the same bandana. After the dance we went outside and the bear came out. He took his head off so she could see. I was so happy that he went to this length to show her that he just played parts. It is all just a show. That he is just a good man being an actor. Everyone here was great. Yes, I could have fled with the girls, but they wouldn't have learned a thing and they were all very happy when we left. My husband went here when he was a child and was glad he got to share it with his grandchildren. It was closed for many years and the new owners are trying to bring it back to glory. We will be back, I would like to see the gunfight. Lol The band was great, the singer really good. Nice place to sit and relax and listen to some good music on a hot day. The views are to die for also. By the way there were several small children there that really enjoyed the show. I think my granddaughter was just overly tired and once she started the other 2 joined in. Any other day they would have been fine. Everyone that worked there did their absolute best to make them comfortable.
Shane S — Google review
Kid orientated park is under remodel and they are doing a great job. Very clean friendly staff. Actors did a excellent job and the shows where nearly non stop and very entertaining.
Aaron R — Google review
I wouldn’t even give a 1 star but had to to be able to post a review. I totally understand new ownership and just opened in April. But it was a total disappointment for me my husband and our 2 grandsons. I do hope they improve but for me I will never return and waste my money. This is a total rip off and they should be ashamed for taking peoples money.

Barbecue restaurant
Bucky Bees BBQ of Cave City is a family-owned restaurant that fulfills the dream of its owners, DeLynn Buckingham and his family. The menu offers a variety of BBQ dishes, including brisket, ribs, burgers, wings, and more. Additionally, they serve American-style food such as fried green tomatoes and mozzarella cheese sticks.
A Hidden Gem – So Glad We Stopped In! We had such a great experience here. The food was flavorful and comforting — exactly what we were hoping for. The brisket was incredibly tender with just the right amount of smoke, and the pulled pork was juicy and packed with rich, savory flavor. Everything came out fresh and hot, and the staff was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell this place takes pride in what they serve. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

Stopped at Bucky Bees for lunch and took home the leftovers for dinner, portions being that big. Hubby ordered the half rack of baby back ribs. His 2 sides were the skillet fried potatoes and white beans. I ordered the pork chops, and my sides were mixed greens and mac and cheese. We also got a cornbread pancake. Both meats were very tender and delicious, as were the sides. We took home a slice of white chocolate and raspberry cake to have for dessert tonight. Staff were very friendly, and our server was very attentive even though she was really busy.
Teresa P — Google review
The meat was good. All of the sides were disappointing. We got brisket, shoulder, and pulled pork. All of the meat was fine. Not exceptional, but definitely better than average. The fried green tomatoes were almost burnt. The cornbread was gritty, dry, and served pancake style. Beans, Mac and cheese, and fries were also sub par. Service was fine, but the place was bit grubby in general and I will never, ever go back.
Dave H — Google review
I really enjoyed the food and experience here at Buggy Bees. Lori, while training a new person on that day, was very friendly, attentive and courteous. We weren't sure what to order and she explained and recommended a few dishes to us. She stopped by a few times, again with her trainee, to make sure everything is okay. Later in chatting, I learned that she also teaches. This probably explains her patience, her clarity and thoroughness which help make my experience at Bucky Bees so unforgettable.

Excellent food with very fast service. We almost left before even being seated because the staff walked past us at least 5 or 6 times before finally seating us. They allowed people to write on the walls, so we asked for a marker, but it was never brought to us. There was no attempt to refill our drinks or dessert offered. All that being said, I would go back for the food because the food was great, I would not have high expectations for the service, but maybe it was just not a great day. I'm not sure.
Stef G — Google review
The food was wonderful. The nachos feed at least 2 ppl, the loaded baked potato is a meal on its own and the chicken sandwich was huge. Service was impeccable and bathrooms were clean. Tables & booths are ripped up & torn, they just need to be redone or touched up.

The BEST choice in the area! The food was great and there was so much we couldn't finish it. Staff were all very sweet and helpful! And the price was cheaper than going to a chain restaurant, too.

After a long day in the car traveling from Wisconsin.... this place definitely hit the spot! Recommended to us by our hotel down the road. Both staff had nothing but great things to say! We started with an order of fried green tomatoes (absolutely wonderful) and we shared a loaded King Ransom potato... unfortunately didnt get a picture of the potato but it was definitely a site to see and the flavor combination was delightful. Our waitress was wonderful and made us feel welcomed. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The Dog Pound is a popular spot for a quick bite, especially for those in between cave tours or just passing through. This hot dog stand offers classic options like chili dogs and sausages with a variety of toppings and sauces to customize your meal. Housed in an old gas station, the small indoor dining area is complemented by large outdoor tables built over the old pump islands. The jumbo dogs are generously topped, and there's also a selection of brats and sausages available.
Great place to eat prices not bad and food was great. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with smiles and hospitality It was a friendly atmosphere. I will have to try the chilli cheese hot dog next visit.

SUPER Tasty, excellent service, and cool overall vibe. Don't less this little hole in the wall throw you off. It is indeed an old gas station turned restaurant. You can eat outside, inside, or take-out. We all had several dogs and we all loved them. I also got a side of their "cowboy beans" and they were excellent. Not sure what was in them, but they were awesome! If stopping by Mammoth Cave NP, stop by here for lunch and/or dinner. You won't be disappointed!

Hidden gem in Cave City. My daughter and I stopped here for lunch, as it is conveniently located across the street from Dinosaur World. I ordered the Maddie Dog & Cowboy Beans, and my daughter got the Nacho Mac n Cheese and Loaded Salad. Our server was so polite, attentive, and made us feel comfortable to take our time, which as a mom I appreciated a lot. She even brought my daughter extra ranch, which was a nice touch. The chili on the Maddie Dog was incredible, and easily the best chili dog in Kentucky. The nacho Mac n Cheese was a little spicy for my daughter, but I personally loved it. The Cowboy Beans had peppers and onions and a nice sweet and smoky flavor. The Loaded Salad was a HUGE portion! The value was another bonus, they could have charged more but we appreciated the more-than-fair prices. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

This is truly a slice of Americana… a converted gas station in a hot dog shop! It’s pretty small inside but plenty of seating outside. The food was good, and tasty and the service was top notch.. very friendly food folks. To say that it was the best hot dog I ever had would be an overreaction, but the vibe is pretty cool. They even brought out a hot dog for our Weiner dog with some water :. Which she thoroughly loved!! Canned soft drinks served with a small.: and a good vibe.. fun place.

Just got done having lunch at The Dog Pound, I had the Big Jack Attack Burger with a mustard dog on the side. The wife had the pulled pork sandwich special, with the loaded potato salad. Everything was delicious!!! The pulled pork was so tender and juicy! The owner told me his secret BBQ sauce, because it is delicious! Im not going to say how he made it, you will have to stop by and ask him yourself after you try it!! I definitely recommend!!!

American restaurant
Restaurant
The Watermill Restaurant is a laid-back, family-owned establishment in Cave City that offers both buffet and menu options featuring Southern cuisine. It's a convenient stop on the way to Mammoth Cave and has been a local favorite for many years. The restaurant serves American-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While some visitors find it to be an affordable dining option with decent food and service, others note that there may be room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and availability of certain items during peak times.
Best fried catfish EVER! We ate there on our way to and from Mammoth Cave several years ago and never forgot how delicious it was so we stopped there as we were returning home from a trip to Nashville to see if it was still as good and it sure was just as delicious as it was back then! Super friendly service makes it even better. We asked our SUPER sweet waitress to ask the girl that fries the fish to come out to our table so we could tell her that SHE ROCKS and we took her pic because she's the best!

The Watermill restaurant in Cave City Kentucky I s easily assessable off of the Interstate 65 Cave City Exit . The Atmosphere was kinda old school 70’s bland and nothing to write home about . But the customer service and food were very good. I had the Buffet because the Salad Bar looked so awesome. And it was , everything was fresh and well maintained. The other part of the Buffet was very good as well . The waitress was very nice and professional. She made sure that my drink was replenished befit I totally ran out and that is very huge for me . All of this and I was stuffed for just a little over 11 dollars. And if you want the 1-Trip Salad Bar it’s just a little over 5-dollars. I have to say that I do recommend this place if you’re in the Cave City / Mammoth Cave area.

We enjoyed Watermill resturant so much! The classic diner/resturant vibe was awesome! When you walk in you are greeted and told to pick any place you want to sit. They have a daily buffet, the entrees change depending on the day, we went on catfish day and it was delicious!! The wife got the patty melt, again delicious!! Stacie was our server!! She was on top of everything!! Shout out to her!! I definitely recommend!!

I was actually stopping for breakfast but there lunch buffet looked good 👍 so I had that instead 😁 I haven’t had catfish 🎣 in years and I’m so glad I ventured out and gave it a try! Good stuff! And the hush puppies 🐶 were very good too! Thumbs up 👍

One of the greatest restaurants I’ve been to in my life. All you can eat, for $12 makes it easy to bring the entire family! Entire breakfast meal for $7.50? 90s restaurant atmosphere which is really nice. 100% coming back here.

Had the buffet dinner at Watermill. They had a salad bar, fried catfish, pot roast with potatoes and carrots, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed corn, green beans with bacon, collard greens, banana pudding and peach cobbler. The vegs could have been a bit warmer, and there could have been more pot roast in the pan, but the catfish was excellent, as was the peach cobbler and banana pudding.

What this place lacks in appearance it makes up for in good gome cooking. Catfish and red beans were delish. Peach cobbler for dessert. We had the buffet, it included a salad bat and dessert. $12.95 ea.

The Watermill Restaurant is a true gem in Cave City, especially if you’re looking for a warm, country-style buffet experience. Located conveniently near Mammoth Cave, this spot feels like a step back in time, with cozy decor and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. The buffet is packed with Southern classics, from fried chicken and mashed potatoes to hearty vegetables and homemade sides. Each dish tasted fresh and flavorful, with that comforting, home-cooked touch you’d hope for in a local spot like this. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure tables were kept clean and drinks filled, even during busy times. I was impressed by the variety and quality of the food, especially given how reasonable the prices are for an all-you-can-eat option. The desserts were also a highlight—don’t skip the cobbler! If you’re in the area and craving a filling meal with a homemade feel, The Watermill Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It’s a charming, authentic experience that’s hard to find these days. Highly recommended for families and travelers alike!

Super fast service. We didn’t have to wait to get seated during dinner time even-though they’re busy. This place reminds me of Cheesecake Factory. Fast service, large menu, and tasty food. It only took a little over 5 mins for them to deliver our food after we placed the order. We got steak fajitas and steak burrito and they’re good!

Great atmosphere, clean, nice staff. Met the owner and chatted for a bit. Food was huge portions and very flavorful. Highly recommended and surprisingly in the middle of nowhere Kentucky. Oh, hold on, I forgot to mention I’m first generation Mexican-American so I know authentic! If you’re jonzing for Mexican, go here. We had dinner a little late. We were leaving at 8:30pm and a big group was just walking in and several other couples. Looks like a happening place!!!

This place is so good! We went once when we were staying in the area and it was great. This time we were just passing through this time, but stopped for lunch. We are so happy we decided to stop again! It was amazing! We were able to get patio seating again. The staff was very friendly. There was a lot of really delicious looking meals that I hope to come back and try. This time I had a margarita flight and the lettuce shrimp tacos. My meal had a lot of shrimp and a ton of avocado. It was amazing and I would happily choose this healthy option again and again! Everyone in our party of 6 was very happy with their orders.

I recently tried a Mexican cuisine place, and let me just say it was absolutely amazing. From the very first bite, everything was full of flavor, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every dish felt like it was made with real love for the food. The spices, the textures, the presentation—it all came together so beautifully that I left feeling more than satisfied. Honestly, it wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience. If you’re ever looking for authentic, delicious, and unforgettable Mexican food, this is the place to go!

Went here with wife & grandkids after Dinosaur World. This is a very much above average place. Everything (food) was great, especially the service. Wish it was closer than a 3 hour drive for us.

Fast food restaurant
Wendy's is a fast-food burger chain that offers a variety of sides like chili and baked potatoes. Recently, they received excellent customer service in the drive-thru from an unknown gentleman who had a positive and well-mannered attitude. This individual is truly an asset to the establishment. Additionally, Wendy's is known for being a familiar and convenient place to stop while traveling. The service provided is both friendly and efficient, with a decently sized dining room that also offers outdoor seating options.
Fresh food and friendly staff. Place was very clean. After the food was ready it took us some time to collect, probably the staff was not sure to call out after the order was ready, but in my app it said food was picked. Overall nice experience.

The doors were locked in the lobby due to being understaffed on Labor Day. The floor was dirty. The Baconator was good. The fries were cold. Overall the food was okay

They young man that was working that front counter was very polite. And instead of the lil cup that comes with the 4 for $4 he gave me a large cup. That was tight. Im driving through from out of town.

I was traveling with my husband and my cousin and her husband. My cousin was ahead of me in line and was having a problem understanding what the person behind the counter was saying. Now granted this person behind the counter had a thick accent. But that's not what bothered me. When you work in a customer service environment and you don't have an easy accent to understand, you need to pronunciate better, especially if they're asking again to find out what you've said. This woman only repeated what she said, just as quickly, as of my cousin should understand her. This happened several times until I jumped in the conversation and helped. It was awkward and my cousin was frustrated by the time she got her food. The food was excellent. But I don't know if I would want to go back.

On May 31, 2025, I did an online order at Wendy's Restaurant in Cave City, KY at 2:24 pm the money was deducted from my account but when my fiancee and I got to the restaurant. We were told I didn't have an order so I reordered the items and was again charged a second time and we went to pick the second order up the employee running the cash register tried to say Again I didn't have an order bit shr pushed a button on the register and my receipt popped out with the items listed. I dispute the first order with my card and I called Wendy's in Cave City to let them know that I disturbed the first order and that I had proof it was taken off my card along with the second order. I'm so glad and happy that Wendy's Restaurant did refund the money back on my card. Thank you so much. I really appreciate you resolving this issue. Beverly Potts
