Takeout Restaurant
Pino's Trattoria is a renowned Italian restaurant located in the heart of Cowes main street on Phillip Island. Since 1991, this family-owned establishment has been offering a genuine Italian dining experience. The spacious, glass-walled room exudes an easygoing vibe and is adorned with Grand Prix memorabilia, adding to the ambiance. The menu features a perfect selection of classic Italian dishes paired with local and international wines.
This place is deceiving from the outside. It looks small but its actually massive on the inside. You pass the outside seating and walk down the stairs to the left to enter the actual restaurant. Was quite lively when we came and seems like a hidden gem. The food was nice. Would definitely come back. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Tasty Italian Food in Phillip Island 🏝️ We tried the cannelloni, salmon croquettes, and funghi pizza – all were really good, especially the pizza! The location is nice, with good vibe overall. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great spot for quality Italian food in Philip island
NomadicBites — Google review
The food was fresh, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Even though it was busy, service was quick and everything came out hot. Great atmosphere too — cosy, lively, and perfect for a couple’s night out or a family dinner. Easily one of the best spots to eat on Phillip Island! Highly recommend. Moto GP suits hanging up on the wall a bonus !

Having lunch with friends here, the service was excellent, they are nice and served us well. Its quite a large restaurant, and you can taste the authentic Italian taste here, I love the coffee... They are very clean and has a comfy atmosphere there... Very recommended...

Very authentic Italian food. Had the seafood pizza which is very light and seafood is fresh. Also had the breaded chicken which is very soft and nicely fried.

The pasta and pizzas there are super tasty! We ordered margarite pizza and seafood pizza. The pizza was crispy and flavory! The pasta there is also wonderful! All my family members loved the food there! The dining environment is also relaxing and well decorated! We’ll definitely visit the restaurant again!

The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the bruschetta, which was fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I opted for the homemade pasta — it was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the rich sauce. My dining companions enjoyed the seafood special, which was equally impressive.
Aruni G — Google review
Food taste was really good. The fish of the day ( salmon ) was fantastic especially the sauce and the tropical pizza really good. For that pasta taste i would give to 3.5💫 if its come with seafood taste would be good. Amazing service friendly staff..

Saltwater Phillip Island is a waterfront restaurant offering stunning 270-degree views of the Phillip Island Bridge and Westernport Bay. The menu features modern dishes made with locally sourced produce, with a focus on fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients. Guests can enjoy a variety of options including cheese and charcuterie boards, tapas, wood-fired pizzas, and hearty mains like the Saltwater Hand-Cut Fettuccine featuring a seafood medley.
Saltwater is our favourite place to eat whenever we visit Philip Island. There are absolutely no bad points. The staff are wonderful, efficient, friendly & they all seem happy to be there. My daughter & her partner had the fish & chips, hubby had the calamari & I had the seafood chowder. We also ordered the corn ribs because, well we always just have to! Everything was delicious & very filling. Whenever you travel to Philip Island, this place is a must!

Saltwater is an amazing spot with a relaxed, chill vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful, and super accommodating and they really go out of their way to make sure you’re looked after. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It’s the kind of place you can easily settle into and enjoy a great meal with excellent service. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! Saltwater definitely stands out for both its atmosphere and hospitality!

Great food and atmosphere. Waiters were really friendly, it took a little long to get mains but overall can't complain. We were so hesitant at first considering some of the reviews but I was impressed with it all. The chilli mussels and garlic pizza was amazing. I had the crowded yum!!!! Great night. Highly recommend.
Sylvia A — Google review
The service was a little sub par. It took 3 times to get our drink order right with 2 waiters arguing at our table. However the food was great and they were able to make a delicious gluten and dairy free pizza for me. Decor was lovely and the view on the water was amazing. Not suitable for coeliacs.

Food was delicious, we'll be back to try out more. The views are amazing. Service was great and very attentive. Highly recommend.

Stunning location, could have spent all day there. Great food selection and really well delicious. The views from inside the restaurant!

Unfortunately a superb location is not enough to save this place. It took 10 minutes for the first casual enquiry as to whether we wanted drinks, with no warning that they were short staffed. The large number of full tables just nursing their drinks should have been a warning. We were seated at 8pm but the food order was not taken, so one of our number went up to the bar and placed it at 8.40 pm. It was only after that that the table next to us, who had been seated before we arrived, started to be served their meals. However it was another hour, after 9.40 pm that a staff member approached to enquire whether we had received our meals. There was then a staff conference at the bar and another person, presumably the manager advised it would be a further 25 minutes, (code for at least half an hour) before our meals would arrive. At that point we paid for our drinks and left. Even then the bill for the drinks included items that had not been ordered and that had to be adjusted. It is simply not good enough for a restaurant to open for a Saturday evening when it cannot deliver anything at all.

Absolutely amazing night! We went for a girls night out and we'd definitely go back! The staff was kind, attentive and very concious of allergies, even alerting me to cross contamination via the fryer unprompted, which from experience, not alot of people bother to do! The food was DELICIOUS 😍 I can't wait to go back and sample some more 😊

Beach HQ Restaurant & Bar is a popular dining spot located in Cowes, Phillip Island's commercial hub. Situated on one of Victoria's few north-facing beaches, it offers visitors an ideal base to immerse themselves in the island's seaside holiday atmosphere. The restaurant provides a dog-friendly environment and serves a variety of dishes, making it a great place to enjoy delicious meals while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Amazing food, service and location Meals were well priced and entrees (not pictured) and kids meals came out promptly Very generous servings, amazing quality, the Turkish bread and dips were 10/10 Will definitely come back the next time we come to the island! But the standout quality was definitely the service our waitress was so lovely to the kids and ourselves

This was my first place I visited on the island after 20 years and it was a beautiful place. We had a beautiful view and the warm sun shining through. The food was delicious and quick. I came with a 4 and 2.5yr old. It provided a change table and good sized bathroom. Which always makes a visit much more convenient and comfortable. 5 stars.
Catherine F — Google review
I was really let down by Beach HQ. The food was overpriced and mediocre. The oysters had broken shells, and the kofta burger was bland. My seafood spaghetti was overly salty, with mostly pasta and only a few pieces of frozen seafood. At $38, it wasn’t worth it. Save your money and go elsewhere
Serena C — Google review
Great place for a meal with a view. Sat on the balcony on a most beautiful day. Enjoyed the scenery and terrific food. Waitress was super friendly and very helpful answering questions. Look forward to coming back again.
Lili A — Google review
Unfortunately we didn't like our food, they were average and very overpriced, $38 for 2 pieces roasted mushrooms with vegs which was extremely salty, $26 for trio dips, my husband had seafood which was not great either, I guess we paid for the location and the Ocean views.
C M — Google review
Unfortunately not a great review. We had a table of 8 and Waited 35 mins for our first drinks. Food took well over an hour and when arrived we were short 3 meals. We were told they were on there way but by the time they arrived the rest of the table had finished their meals. The table behind us was receiving their parmigianas after we had already said to the wait staff we were waiting on ours still. A real Lack of organisation & training. We also were not the only table that had problems. Hopefully they can sort this out as they do have a really great location and great views!
Michael B — Google review
My seafood paella was delicious but my partner ordered the same and had a 30mins wait for his meal. My daughter ordered seafood spaghetti which was delicious but she had to wait 1hr for her meal. If the timing had been better I would have given them 5 stars. Probably worth trying again when it's not such a busy time of year.
Jennie R — Google review
Delightful food, very generous serving. We enjoyed the seafood paella and spaghetti marinara. Each meal had a mix of seafood including scallop, prawn, calamari, mussels and fish. Each meal was well priced and coupled with a broad wine and beer list. And added to this the late afternoon views across the water to French Island made our day complete. We will dine here at our next visit. I hope the Super Bike racers find this restaurant.

Friendly welcoming staff, attentive and quick service. Warm restaurant on a cold windy night. Food was absolutely amazing. We had arancini and duck leg. Very lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend to dine here.

Just the stop we needed on our journey from Wilsons Promontory to Phillip Island. The food was scrumptious—especially the kids’ pasta with its rich, tasty Napoli sauce. The Chicken Parmigiana was spot on, crispy and comforting. Being a brewery, we couldn’t resist the tasting paddle, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. A great spot to unwind and refuel—highly recommended for anyone visiting the Island.

So we had just finished the Penguin Parade and wanted dinner, headed over to this place. Really lovely staff and the food was great. Loads of locally brewed beers on tap and then bought about 12 cans on the way out. Staff were just really nice and very attentive.
Luke S — Google review
Staff were friendly and seated us promptly. Arancini was nice but the outside was a bit overcooked making it hard to cut through. Flavors were nice. Seafood was cooked well. Ravioli was watery so I wouldn't reccomend it. Stickydate pudding was ok but a very small serving and comes with icecream as opposed to cream. Toilets were well maintained.
Jasmine D — Google review
We absolutely love coming here, very reasonably priced, such friendly wait staff especially Eden and Sarah. We often have the Chicken Parmagiana it's really up there with best we've had, seafood spaghetti definitely the best on the Island for taste and price in comparison to other local restaurants. Venue has a fantastic ambiance, well designed and kept pretty spick. A credit to the owner Neil who's been at the helm for many years. Keep up the great work guys!
Martin W — Google review
Absolutely fantastic service. Had dinner here for my last night on the island in order to try the beers. The Arancini was perfectly done. The Beef burger was so good that I forgot to take a photo. Tried a custom paddle of beer as shown in the photo. Highly recommend the "Black Cockie" for anyone who likes darker beers

We enjoyed lunch at Rusty Water Brewery Restaurant. Well appointed restaurant that provides a very pleasant atmosphere . Very welcoming & friendly staff who go out of their way to provide quality service. Great food we had the beef & stout pie & chicken parmigiana - both lovely & represent good value for money. We will be back

Food & Drink
Phillip Island Winery is a charming winery located on the tranquil south coast of Phillip Island. The venue offers a relaxed atmosphere and a new outdoor atrium space, making it an ideal spot for lunches and afternoon grazing. Families can enjoy the giant lawn games, live music, and organic icy poles while savoring quality local produce such as cheese boards and share plates.
Our wedding at Phillip Island Winery was an absoute dream! The venue itself is stunning, though from the moment we started planning the wedding coordinator (Rikki) was an absolute lifesaver. Her easy-going nature immediately putus at ease, and she was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. No matter what questions or concerns we had, Rikki was always there with a solution and a smile. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect, handling every detail wth professionalism and care. Thanks to Rikki, we were able to relax and truly enjoy our wedding day. We cant recommend Phillip Island winery highly enough. The food was INSANNEEEE, every dish was cooked to perfection, and our guest raved about the quality and taste. The staff were attentive and professional, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I would 1000% recommended for all to have their wedding at Phillip Island Winery, we would not have changed anything for the world.

A stunning location with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff! Phillip Island Winery is a perfect location for a special occasion. I recommend booking prior to rocking up especially if you want an undercover or inside seat. We tried the grazing platter and it was beautiful. Lots of vegan/ vegetarians options. I would definitely return!

We had a beautiful lunch (celebrating my birthday). The whole experience was so easy from booking to the day itself. We were running late but we had such care taken for us to be able to still finish our meal in good time. The kind lady who kept us updated was so thoughtful. The food was delicious and very fresh! Wine was very good too. The service was attentive and accommodating. The grounds were so child friendly, our kids loved running around after lunch. Everyone in our group were saying they were so impressed with the venue and hospitality. We'll definitely come again. Thank you!

We went to Phillip Winery on a Saturday for dinner and honestly, it was a gem of a find! The lamb shoulder was absolutely divine. What made it even more special was how amazing the crew was. I have coeliac disease and they were so accommodating, I felt at ease. We loved the place so much we came back the very next day for a wine tasting, and had a gluten-free cheese and salami platter in their outdoor space. Hands down the best charcuterie board I’ve ever had in years! And, of course, great wines, we had to bring a box home. Five stars, no question about it!

Today we ventured back to Phillip Island Winery located at 414 Berrys Beach Rd, Ventnor, where the ambiance is wonderfully farm fresh and welcoming, with rustic wooden tables shaded by umbrellas, creating an idyllic spot to bask in the sun with your dog/s on a crisp day while savoring a glass of their wine. The live music on Saturday adds a lovely touch, perfectly complementing the vineyard's easygoing vibe without overwhelming the senses. The wines are refreshingly vibrant, and they paired well with our wood-fired pizzas. The margarita pizza, enhanced with a touch of prosciutto, was a standout; its crust was light and crispy, executed to perfection. However, we found the Gambero OG smoked paprika with marinated prawns to be a bit too bold for our taste. We regularly wander through the cellar door for a 6-glass tasting paddle and a browse around their charming shop, that brims with beautiful homewares and unique gifts. Whether you’re stopping by for a tasting, a leisurely lunch, or simply to unwind, this place has it all: delectable food, exceptional wine, live music, out door games and a breathtaking setting. We can't wait for our next visit!

From the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming. Very knowledgeable and attentive. I couldn’t choose between the Pinot Grigio or rosé so they gave me a taste of each before choosing which was so kind. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at Phillip Island Winery! The food and drinks were delightful, and the ambience made it a perfect spot to unwind. While the oysters weren’t as fresh as expected, the staff handled it well with excellent service recovery, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a lovely experience!
