Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) is a vibrant hub for visual arts, housing an eclectic collection of paintings, photographs, and sculptures within a historic space. The museum underwent a significant redevelopment in 2015, transforming into a contemporary art experience with an innovative facade designed for kinetic art and projections. MAMA aims to elevate Albury as a destination rather than just a stopover by offering international touring exhibitions and fostering deep connections to the regional culture.
A small yet beautiful museum. The staff is very friendly and we get to experience beautiful pieces of work from different artists. Special kudos to Sonam for making my day extra special.

When you walk 🚶‍♀️ into the Atrium you see 👀 the Aboriginal word Gawaym banba which translates as Welcome, plus a poem Nginha which means here. Nginha is the central idea that deserts 🏜 connection to Country and place for Wiradjuri people. When I was here the exhibitions were rather varied. I loved the Aboriginal collection I'm always delighted seeing 👀 Aboriginal paintings in art 🎨 galleries and museums as I'm proudly Wiradjuri woman 👩.

A beautiful building that houses a free entry museum, in the main street of town. I really enjoyed the presentations and multiple areas of visual displays. Easy access, beautiful park behind the rear of the building, and a coffee shop outside. Worth visiting 👍
Raelene G — Google review
Really enjoyed our time here. We were lucky to have a tour here guided by Gong, a pleasant mannered and knowledgeable staff. She was always happy to answer questions and share her insights, which adds to the overall experience of visiting the museum. Overall, the Murray Art Museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in contemporary Australian art. Its world-class collection, engaging programming, and welcoming atmosphere make it a standout institution in the Australian art world. I highly recommend a visit!

Nature & Parks
Noreuil Park Foreshore is a serene and picturesque park located on the banks of the Murray River in Albury. It offers a variety of activities for couples, families, and travelers passing through. The park features an enclosed playground with ample shade from large trees, overlooking the river and offering BBQ facilities nearby. Visitors can enjoy picnics, canoeing, fishing, and walking tracks while children have a great time at the playground.
Great place for a picnic, BBQ facilities . There's an off leash area for dogs, on leash near the BBQ. Beautiful location, lots of parking, kayaks and canoes for hire. The river allows you to float along and the locals told us most swim and fast float about 2 klms. We saw little kids, dogs and elderly floating down the river so seems safe. A must see location.
Awakening C — Google review
Beautiful place with plenty space of parking and everything. There is public toilet, cafe nearby. BBQ spot to use and plenty table. A lot of big trees that give big shade for you to picnic here. Playground for kids, plenty space to cycle their bikes, play sports and everything. You can swim here too just be aware of their strong current.
Hifdzannudin H — Google review
Noreuil Park is a wonderful riverside destination with a charming lake, perfect for a peaceful walk or bike ride. Enjoy watching the ducks and pelicans in this well-maintained park, which also features a restaurant and plenty of parking.

Beautiful place, lots of shade, space for picnics. Some tables & chairs. Perfect for an afternoon swim in the river. Lots of people floating down the river to the boat ramps walking back & doing it again. Small climb/,step down to sandy beach area, lovely & refreshing water. Must watch your kids here as the river can move fast.

Such a beautiful area- nothing like this in Perth (our home) so we were really impressed with this stunning area. Big shade trees, lush lawn, plenty of parking, toilets onsite, playground and swimming in the big river, that also had a bit of flow to it.

Garden
Nature & Parks
Botanical garden
Albury Botanic Gardens, established in 1877, spans across 9.9 acres and features a diverse collection of native and exotic plant species. The gardens boast over 1,000 plant species from 450 genera and 95 plant families, including a notable assortment of rainforest species.
The Botanical gardens are exceptionally beautiful and I found that they were relatively quiet and not overcrowded. There's a fantastic diversity of flora and lots of shade in seats situated throughout the park. I would like to see it open at night time. Sometimes especially lit up with events or perhaps choirs. It would also be a great place to hold nature studies for school groups to encourage our children to become lovers of the planet.
Neville H — Google review
What a charming little park! Colorful flowers and tall palm trees sway gently in the breeze, accompanied by the sweet scent of osmanthus blossoms. Locals can be seen relaxing on the grass, enjoying picnics with friends, or playing with their children—it's truly a lovely spot to unwind. The children's playground is a particular highlight, full of whimsical and imaginative features: ceramic sculptures, a dinosaur-shaped speaking tube, small animal-themed wooden seats, handpans, and tiny xylophones… There's even a fairytale-like restroom adorned with stained glass and a sculpted lizard winding around the exterior. It's truly a magical place.
Steph G — Google review
I had the chance to visit this garden for spending some time alone in the afternoon, it is a very nice place for meditation and for photography. Lots of varieties and well maintained, free entrance.
Davide M — Google review
It was beautiful. Manicured lawns and well tended plants and trees. Peaceful walking with my sister. The paths are flat and suitable for all abilities and wheelchairs. We looked at the children's playground and it was full of exquisite details for the children to explore.

Mountain peak
Monument Hill in Albury is a significant site that pays tribute to the servicemen and women who served in various conflicts. The hill features a striking white monument, designed by architect Louis Harrison, which commemorates the First World War. Additionally, the Memorial Bowl was added later to honor those who served in the Second World War. Visitors can embark on a scenic hike through wooded hillsides from the city center to reach this iconic landmark and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the region from its elevated position.
Walked upto Monument Hill from our city hotel. Took about 20 minutes and of course a fair few steps and a decent hill climb. But what a magnificent monument encircled by plaques on plinths commemorating the many conflicts Australia's servicemen/women have been involved in. One vacant plinth left - what will be the plaque that will go on it?
Colin S — Google review
I walked 🚶‍♀️ around here a few days ago. I enjoyed walking around here and taking photos of the monument and the plaques erected around the grounds and the view down to Albury city.
Tanya V — Google review
Beautiful monument and great place to stopby to have a look. Theres public toilet and few place to sit. Great place to walk and see some view up here.
Hifdzannudin H — Google review
Monument Hill in Albury is a great spot to visit. It’s really easy to get to – you can walk straight up from the main part of town. The walk up the hill is fun, and once you’re at the top you get amazing views of Albury. The monument is also there to remind us of the people who served in the war, which makes it special. If you look carefully, there’s even a little dirt track through the bush that you can take to walk back down. I definitely recommend going for a walk to Monument Hill – I’ll be doing it again myself soon!
Stephen H — Google review
Roughly 25 minutes walk from CBD and colorful trees along the way in Autumn. A beautiful view to see Albury from the hill. A place to commemorate all Australians and New Zealanders, who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

Public swimming pool
Located in Hovell Tree Park along the Murray River, Albury Swim Centre is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to unwind and beat the heat during the warmer months. The center features an Olympic-sized 50-meter pool with eight lanes, a heated 25-meter pool, a designated area for babies and toddlers with shade sails, and an exciting giant water slide.
Decent outdoor pool and water slide. Keep in mind the water slide is an extra cost per turn although they are flexible with it. They start closing before closing time so keep that in mind. A good experience
Joe C — Google review
Nice public pool has good opening hours for when coming from Sydney and Arriving early in the morning. Pool is at a nice temperature during the cold climates and all year round plus there is a water slide.

Perfect place for 50m winter swimming
Andrew G — Google review
My kids were excited to go to the swimming centre but it was closed which was a huge disappointment for us. It showed in google that the swim centre was open today but it was not accurate. We came all the way from Rutherglen but we only came here to come face to face with a disappointment. They should update their google status. They don't even pick up the phone calls. This centre is one of the worst I've ever been to. You should not come here or you will regret it.

Cafe
Takeout Restaurant
The River Deck Cafe in Albury Wodonga offers a modern Australian dining experience with scenic river views and an outdoor deck. The cafe is situated on the banks of the Murray River, providing a picturesque setting for enjoying delicious meals and cocktails. The menu features a variety of options, from breakfast favorites like eggs your way and avocado toast to intricately balanced modern flavors such as smoked salmon with radish, kimchi, ponzu, and nori chips.
What an absolute gem of a restaurant! Perfectly located next to a huge park with a fantastic playground, it’s the ideal spot for a family outing or a relaxed catch-up with friends. There’s plenty of parking available, and after a hearty meal, you can take a stroll along the scenic walking track to walk it all off—such a great bonus! We visited in the morning and, while there was a queue to get in, the line moved quickly and efficiently, showing just how well-managed the place is. We ordered their signature big brekkie—my son couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was! I had the zucchini avocado fritter and it was absolutely next-level—fresh, flavourful, and perfect for those looking for a healthier option without compromising on taste. My daughter had the scrambled eggs with bacon, plus a babycino, and she was all smiles. We also tried their detox juice, which was refreshing and clearly made with quality ingredients. On top of the fantastic food and setting, the customer service truly stood out. Our waitress was incredibly warm, friendly, and super informative—she made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. Highly recommend this place—great food, wonderful service, and a location that makes the whole experience even better!

The River Deck Cafe is a great place to have lunch, especially if you have a dog, as the deck is pet-friendly. The deck has a peaceful view of the park, and the food is outstanding. I tried the Earl Grey pork belly and the banana bread waffle, both of which were amazing. The iced coffee was excellent as well.
Kelly — Google review
Breakfast was so very lovely here, we had the banana bread waffle, which I recommend 👌. The staff were lovely, efficient & professional. The big winners which topped off a fabulous dining experience were clean rest rooms and the magnificent Murray River flowing by, with a gorgeous walk amongst the majestic trees. A fabulous overall experience made exceptional by the staff & food.

Saturday brunch saw me here with my missus and teenage son, we did not make a table booking, it was walk in, but the team were very understanding and helpful in finding us a table even though they were extremely busy. They were almost about to change over from their breakfast menu to their lunch menu, so our waitress said we could order from either one which was very handy. I ordered the zucchini and pesto fritters with a side or mushrooms and Smoked Kransky, bloody sensational! The missus ordered the scrambled eggs on toast with a side of bacon and hash brown, very good also. Service was fast and friendly, very professional. Food arrived quickly and we were all very happy customers.

Great little park outside Coffees were perfect. Great service. Tenders are a massive serve. Boys shared Fantastic chips too Fireplace is so inviting. Great views.
Antony D — Google review
Seriously just go here for the chips, they are proper good crispy, well seasoned and awesome. Oh and the scallops, who new so far inland you can get good sea food. The kids fish and chips uses the same barramundi as the main meal just smaller, it's perfectly battered, come here with two or more kids and get a bunch of fish and chips and save money on the adult main meal. - actually seriously though the chips are good. We had prawn and truffle pasta, the baked cheese, all the food was amazing, there's a playground and a nice deck to sit on, however the deck is west facing so on clear days bring the sunscreen or a hat if you're a bit white like me.
Glen F — Google review
We recently stayed in Albury for a couple of days and came to the River Deck Cafe for lunch. We were blessed with amazing weather and had a seat in the sun for lunch. I had the most amazing duck dish for lunch - honestly the best meal of our entire trip for 2 weeks. I highly recommend for people to visit here for a lunch or dinner, not only is it a lovely spot on the Murray River, but the staff are very friendly and efficient and the menu is amazing!

We returned for Breakfast. This time with our quartet of poodles. My breakfast Zucchini Balls was amazing and looked beautiful. Glad to return. Beautiful location on the river. Dog friendly a number of vegan options. The river is fun, lots of swimmers and kayaks floating down the river.

Refined, delicious, satisfying. Everything you'd expect from a top notch restaurant in Melbourne, but here in Albury! A pleasant surprise. 5 star everything, food, service, wine. All wonderful. Had the Beef Tartare and Chicken ragu with clove and lemon, both fantastic.

Great food. Especially enjoyed the fish dish and pasta with mortadella. The service is top notch. Highly recommended if you in the area. The prices are a bit premium though.

I do not only want to eat the beef tartare again, I need to! It’s so smokey and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. It’s possibly the best in Albury

Spanish restaurant
Saludos, located on Dean Street, is a charming Spanish tapas bar that brings the vibrant flavors of Spain to Albury. This cozy spot specializes in an array of mouthwatering dishes, including slow-cooked paella and beloved tapas like croquetas and patatas bravas. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for gathering with friends or enjoying a romantic evening out.
Highly recommended to have a meal and wonderful evening. Host Loni, has friendliness, hospitality & best service covered. Her drinks & food advice made for an exceptional dinner. Pork belly crackle is superb. Will be back when next visiting Albury.

For a regional town like Albury, Saludos is a wonderful place for authentic Spanish food! Recommend all the tapas especially the peppers, croquettes, and empanadas ! The paella could have more flavour especially the meat! Would come back to try other mains!
Risaban K — Google review
Absolutely gutted that we only discovered this place, weeks before it closes😭. Spanish food is hard to find but, of this quality, it's super rare. The paella was spectacular, the octopus with chorizo amazing. It was all great. All killer no filler. Great service too
Carl E — Google review
We stayed in Albury for one night, and we chose this Spanish restaurant with a high rating on Google, called @salutoscafe. We had Paella, churros, salt & pepper calamari, and pork belly! The most surprising dish was the pork belly 🐷🐷 It was seasoned with grape pinenut salsa, which made it refreshing and balanced out the greasiness of the pork belly. The vibe of the restaurant was also great. It's a nice place to chill with friends. 👍🏻
NI — Google review
Food was really good . Service was great . Lovely atmosphere. Great selection of dishes to share ! Paella was yummo and the churros light and fluffy . Had a great night !
Poppy — Google review
Great place with pretty good food. The servers were really attentive and made sure we were well taken cared of. They guided us through their extensive paella menu and made sure we didn't order too much. It gets pretty crowded at night so I suggest coming in a bit early to secure a table. Definitely a place to visit if you're around Albury. 😊
Ed ( — Google review
Amazing table service and beautiful delicious authentic Spanish food, we ordered ahead for the Paella but arrived a little earlier that planned, was no problem at all. Ordered a couple of Tapas to start and they arrived within 10 minutes, very impressed. Paella arrived soon after and was absolutely amazing. We finished with desert and coffees, Chirios with warm chocolate sauce and a dish called gypsies arm which is a type of Swiss roll cake. All together a fantastic night.

This restaurant has recently moved into these new premises. Prior to the move I visited for breakfast and it was atrocious and decided I would not return, however I was enticed be the new venue and took a risk. Surprise surprise I went for dinner and overall it was fabulous!!!! You can dine inside or outside in a very funky courtyard that has been made to feel ally-like. We had the tapas and it was very good. The prices were pretty reasonable for the quality. The ambience inside was lovely and the service assistant was excellent. Highly recommend this Spanish restaurant for an evening meal.

Asian restaurant
Nestled in the historic old taxation department building, Din Dins is a beloved Asian fusion kitchen and bar that has captured the hearts of locals in Albury Wodonga. This vibrant eatery boasts a share plate-centric menu that's perfect for group dining, encouraging you to sample an array of delectable dishes. Indulge in their fluffy bao buns filled with everything from chicken karaage to slow-cooked wagyu rib blade—each bite is simply divine!
A menu of share plates, to taste a greater variety is always a winner. Friendly young hosts, with prompt service. Appreciate the wine being decanted, however this being done table side is preferred. Cured kingfish was supported by a good kick of green chilli oil. Tuna tataki was batons of tuna which were a bit overcooked, thinking of the traditional ‘just seared & thin sliced’, however the dressing had great flavour. Chinese lamb ribs that fell off the bone, tasty sauce & a bowl of rice rounded out a memorable dinner.
Merry — Google review
It's a nice comfortable place. I would say it's highly recommended for people who will drink lots of beers. The food is very salty and wouldn't be good unless you are drinking a bit. The octopus is nice and interestingly it has a very subtle flavour so you really need to eat that first otherwise everything else with the strong flavour will drown out the taste. The dumplings were small but they were ok. The edamame were a disappointment. Definitely not worth paying so much extra for them to stir fry it vs regular ones. I'm going to go against other reviews and say that the dishes were a regular size and not huge. They are fine but don't have unrealistic expectations.
Valent L — Google review
Booking was easy. Limited street parking. Easy to find. The service was consistent and friendly. We were seated instantly and ordered within 5 minutes. The food arrived all together, and all looked amazing. The food tasted delicious and was appropriately portioned. That being said, we tried two of their desserts and didn't really like them, but overall, it was good. The menu itself is a little lacking due to how much seafood is on it. The prices are also incredibly high considering the way the food was presented. The drinks were nice with good garnishes. It's more of a place to go to if you want to try out a lot of different things and share them. Overall, the experience was very lovely, and I would definitely go back.
Sue D — Google review
My wife & I called in for dinner with our 7 week old baby. Enviroment was really inviting, lighting is awesome and creates a really nice vibe. Service was fantastic all night, stunning Asian fusion cuisine. We had the Beef Carparcio, Laksa Mussels, Katsu Curry & the Meatballs. Good selection of beer & wine as well as cocktails. Very, very close to 5 Star score here! Highly recommend.
Joshua D — Google review
Had a great experience overall! The food was delicious and the cocktails were spot on. The fried cauliflower was a little too salty for my taste, but everything else was enjoyable. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back!

A beautiful dining experience for my daughters 18th. Staff kindly let us bring extra people on short notice. Service was fantastic and so friendly. The lighting and ambience is lovely and the food..you can't go wrong. We picked a variety of dishes to share and every dish was delicious, and we had leftovers to take home. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Thank you Mark and Deb for a wonderful afternoon. The food was sensational; please pass on our gratitude to your kitchen staff. They did a spectacular job. Really enjoy this restaurant, really good food and pretty good customer service although there were a couple times where I think they forgot about us! Norma is a newly opened trattoria in Albury that specializes in traditional Italian cuisine with a focus on bold flavors. The restaurant is known for its freshly made pasta, including pappardelle with chicken ragu and casarecce with broccoli, anchovies, and pine nuts. Norma Wine and Pasta, located in the city's north, has gained local recognition for its wonderful Italian dishes served in a charming corner shop setting.
The food was brilliant, great menu with lots of choices, very well cooked. The kitchen was very busy so the food took a little bit of time, but was absolutely worth the small wait. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The cooks in the kitchen were smashing out the orders to a high standard, outstanding to see a young girl in the kitchen putting out spectacular dishes! Will definitely be coming back!

I would give 10 stars if I could. The food in this restaurant is superb and as an Italian I would genuinely say this is the best pasta dish I have ever had outside of my home country and also the other dishes we ordered were amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly and everything was fantastic. I am surprised it is only rated 4.3 stars because this restaurant could easily open a venue in Italy. The staff are also very polite and friendly. I am gutted I don't live nearby.
Valentina B — Google review
Cannot believe this place has a chefs hat. We had the pork cotoletta, over fried and dry, the tuna sauce was overly acidic the only saving grace the fried capers Then the heirloom tomato and smashed cucumber on whipped ricotta, sadly served on a hot plate with fridge cold tomatoes- fail again Next up, asparagus teleggio anchovy chilli crumb… weird grainy sauce, not pleasant, quite frankly gross Asked if we could delay our pasta as all other items arrived really fast, given a clear no Main linguine with pancetta emulsified pecorino and pepper… It arrived, think coagulated pasta in pasta water, quite frankly awful, we didn’t eat it. Amazing the waitress asked if I wanted to take it away, I said absolutely not.. no other questions were asked Simply one of the worst service and food experiences in ages. Constantly prompting for plate changes and basics, clear this, can we have a spoon napkin etc In and out in 45 mins NEVER AGAIN
Vanessa B — Google review
I would go back but some things held it back from being a 5 star. The service is limited in that there's is no standard table service. You order at the bar. Even if a server delivers your food and you ask for a glass of wine, they tell you to get up and go to the bar. I've never had this at an Italian restaurant, from Australia to Italy to the UK, so it's quite weird to me (that lack of service). The other thing was the beef in the beef ragu was quite cool compared to the rest of the ingredients (hot), and it wasn't very tender. The tables don't have pepper on them as standard either (another new thing to me for an Italian restaurant). The house white is impressive and aside from the beef ragu the food was very nice.
McGinley — Google review
The evening started very well with a delightful young male waiter who was efficient and polite. We couldn’t fault the food and drinks. However we were less than impressed with the service once we had started eating. We were pretty much ignored even though there were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant. Our entree plates were not removed before the waitress brought us our mains. She seemed annoyed that we asked her to clear the table before placing the large mains in front of us. The table was tiny so definitely not enough room for dirty plates to be left. We were not attended by waitress again , nor asked if we wanted more to drink or dessert which we would have ordered had she asked. On our way out we noticed dirty plates still sitting on tables where diners left them. Not a great look
Vyvian W — Google review
The best thing about our meal was the tiramisu. The pasta dishes were ordinary, prawns with only a couple cut up in tiny pieces. The beef ragu was liquid, no beef . The wait staff when delivering our food didn’t offer cracked pepper or Parmesan. The process for ordering was like a pub, but at a much higher price. You pay before you eat. Not a place we’d recommend.
Kay C — Google review
Excellent quality pasta and starters packed with authentic flavour. We went in winter as a large ground and were nestled right beside the fireplace. All of us felt very cozy the entire night and left unable to fault any of the meals.

Great vibe and atmosphere, feels like a comfortable dinning experience at home. Very accommodating staff, catering to dietary needs! Great food, reasonably priced, only complaint is that the pasta is a little under seasoned.
