Sights & Landmarks
Fujairah Fort, a 16th-century landmark in the UAE, is a sprawling fortress built with local materials like rock, gravel, and mortar. Perched on a 20-meter rocky hill overlooking Fujairah City, it served as a symbol of power and refuge for locals. The fort is part of the Fujairah Heritage Village, showcasing traditional Emirati life with ancient buildings and an irrigation system.
A Must-Visit Historical Gem! Fujairah Fort is a beautifully preserved piece of the UAE’s history. The architecture is stunning, and the surrounding area gives you a real sense of what life was like centuries ago. It’s peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for photos. The views from the top are amazing, especially during sunset. If you’re in Fujairah, don’t miss it — it’s one of the oldest forts in the region and truly worth the visit!

A true symbol of Fujairah’s heritage! Fujairah Fort stands proudly on a small hill, overlooking the city with a timeless charm. It’s one of the oldest forts in the UAE and beautifully restored to reflect its original character. Walking through its stone walls and towers feels like stepping back in time, offering a glimpse of the region’s history and defense architecture. The surrounding heritage village and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect spot for history lovers and photographers alike. 🏰🌄📸

This historic fort is truly impressive and beautifully preserved. Standing proudly against the backdrop of the mountains and the clear blue sky, it offers a remarkable view and a strong sense of the region’s heritage. The architecture is stunning, and walking around the site allows you to appreciate its history and importance in protecting the land in earlier times. Fujairah Fort is a beautifully preserved piece of Emirati heritage. Surrounded by scenic views and traditional houses, it offers a glimpse into the region’s past. The structure itself is impressive, with its mud-brick architecture and peaceful surroundings. A quick yet meaningful stop for anyone interested in history and culture.

A historical site with rich history. Nicely preserved, but i was disappointed by how people deface the walls by writing on them, ease don't do this when you visit any historical site in tye world - leave a world behind. The fort shows how the ancient people protected the city, there's also a village model, ypu get a glimpse of how life was back in the day, having somenvillage roots myself, it reminded me how mom's home village used to look like before, how it was maintained, but that died with my grandparents. There's a forest of date palm trees in the village, it offers a beautiful view. Respect such places and don't litter please.

Fujairah Fort is a beautiful and historic landmark that’s definitely worth visiting. It’s one of the oldest forts in the UAE and gives you a real sense of the region’s heritage. The structure is well preserved, and the architecture looks impressive against the mountain backdrop — especially in the late afternoon light. There are several towers, walkways, and viewpoints to explore, and the fort is surrounded by restored traditional houses that make the whole area feel like a step back in time. It’s peaceful, spacious, and perfect for taking photos. You also get a clear view of the old mosque and surrounding landscapes. Entry is free, and there’s plenty of parking nearby. A great cultural stop if you are exploring Fujairah — short, educational, and memorable. Highly recommended for families, tourists, and anyone who enjoys Emirati history.

Cool place historic buildings around the best thing if you go at the roof you can get the sunset view at one side with stunning mountains and the other side you can see the sea and city
Usama B — Google review
It's one of the oldest in the UAE, and gives an amazing vista over part of the city and up to the mountains. Certainly worth a visit for that. There's also the Fujairah Heritage Village but not so much info available on that

Museum
Specialty Museums
The Fujairah Museum showcases artifacts of ancient civilizations such as tools, crafts, and weapons. Despite the high expectations from visitors to see the history and heritage of Fujairah, the museum is small and lacks sufficient items, information, and stories which can be completed in just 30 minutes. It requires more space and creativity to enhance the cultural experience for visitors. Nonetheless, it is well-maintained with a good collection that provides informative insight into Fujairah's rich history.
I have visited almost all museums in the Emirates and I want to note this museum as a benchmark. In the first place clean landscaped area. Parking lot. Coffee for guests. The expositions themselves convey the atmosphere and spirit of those times. Especially liked the radio with the voice of Sheikh Zayed, and all the details are conveyed with love! I wish everyone to visit and get into the spirit of their native land. I thank the museum for the work done
Idiia I — Google review
It's a very small museum, extending over just 2 rooms (which is curious because the museum itself is absolutely huge). It's got some very interesting items in it though, showcasing the emirate's extensive history. The museum is also very nicely set out - with good labelling. The rooms the items are in though are epic - very florid for a museum and almost worth the visit in themselves alone! We were also entirely alone in the museum, which apparently sees very few visitors.

A fascinating glimpse into Fujairah’s ancient past! I didn’t realize Fujairah had a civilization dating back to around 1100 BC until visiting this museum. It’s small but very well organized, with interesting artifacts, tools, and pottery that tell the story of the region’s long history. A great place to learn something new and enjoy a bit of trivia about the UAE’s heritage. Definitely worth a short visit if you’re in Fujairah. 🏺📜✨
Shehan A — Google review
Fujairah Museum is a hidden gem for anyone interested in UAE heritage and archaeology. It’s small, peaceful, and beautifully curated — the kind of place where you can really slow down and learn. The exhibits are well organized, covering traditional Emirati life, old weapons, jewellery, pottery, and fascinating archaeological findings from the region. The displays are clear and easy to understand, and the staff are friendly and informative. One of the highlights is the section on ancient tombs and local excavation sites — it gives a deeper appreciation for Fujairah’s long history. The museum also includes traditional huts and outdoor structures that show how people lived before modern development. Entry fees are very affordable, and the entire space is clean and well maintained. It doesn’t take too long to explore, but you leave feeling enriched. A wonderful stop for families, students, tourists, or anyone wanting to understand the cultural roots of Fujairah. Definitely worth adding to your heritage tour of the emirate.

We visited the Fujairah Museum on Sunday, and we are the only ones there at 12 pm. It is a very good museum although it's just 2 large rooms. Detailed displays of UAE history. Ample parking, staff are accommodating, modest AED 5 entrance with free coffee.

A well known mall in Fujairah. Here you can find varieties of clothes shops (for casual, classic and even sportive clothes), shoe shops, cosmetics, perfumes, a branch for brands for less, money exchange office, one ATM for NBF, Galaxy cinema, ice creamer shop. Also there is a cart racing area and laser games for adults and there is a small car racing area for little kids. There is a big Nesto store where simply you can find almost everything of your home stock under one roof with affordable prices and there are many offers available most of the time. I randomly searched for restaurants nearby and found this Persian restaurant. Judging from the customers, seems like it is famous among the locals. The restaurant has a very majestic interior. Before placing order we were served with complimentary lentils soup, fresh salad, and a cup of raita. We ordered the half mix grill which was more than enough for 2 adults and 2 kids.
Muhammad A — Google review
Only Muslims are welcome. 1 waiter was so rude and unhelpful with me and my sister (we are Europeans and were dressed normally and decently), we were literally rushed out from the restaurant. He was giving us looks and brought the bill without us asking for it. Food was nice but this feeling of being unwanted for some reason ruined the experience and just left us wondering what happened.

Had dinner for two here while staying at a hotel nearby. The food was great! Recommend getting the Sadaf Special Platter (meat). It comes with a large portion of multiple types of rice, soup, yoghurt and a lady finger gravy. Fork for reference 😉

The restaurant's exterior reflects the traditional architecture of Fujairah, creating a charming and inviting ambiance. Located in the city center, this whimsical-looking building houses a ground-floor cafe serving regional staples and shishas, while the main restaurant above offers high-quality Lebanese fare.
Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors and perfectly prepared. The ambiance was stunning—loved the oriental décor and Arabic theme, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was also top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience!

Was the second time to this awesome restaurant that stands out from the rest of buildings in the area. It is well decorated and creates a beautiful ambiance and a feeling of importance to dine in. The food was excellent and good portions, the freshness and the aroma makes you eat more than what you consume normally. This is a very nice restaurant with great people. I have given 4 Stars for service only because it is a large space and sometimes it is difficult to spot a service assistant and also for the paper serviettes where i feel they must have much easier access to tissues etc.

It posted its review yesterday and visited again today. I did not have any food in this restaurant for a while because of previous not so good experience. I ordered mix grill. This is better than last time but they increase the price, if I'm not wrong. Taste was better and quantity was good as well. Served with a tray of pickle and fresh bread. We had tea as well. Service was fine. It's much less busy than what it used to be.. don't know why? Please check the video and pictures as I promised in my last post. Still room for improvement in terms of taste.

Good Food in the centre of the city. Located on the main road the restaurant is easily accessible. They have family cabins as well if you want privacy. Taste is good for the Indian Cuisine options from the Menu. They gave Papads while you wait for food which was nice. However the Pasta was okay-ish. Soups are good too (try minestrone). Service was good and prompt. Prices are nominal and fair. Loads of options for vegetarians as well. We found one chicken piece in Broccoli soup though, so mention it to the waiter that you are vegetarian while you order. Tip: Download ‘Repeat’ App and get discount at this restaurant, we got 10% off which was nice 😊

I ordered on talabat and they sent me the wrong items. I called them to solve and they were rude and didn’t solve the problem. Bad experience in my life. You can see the ordered and what they sent me. I paid for food that I will not eat!

The service is great! However the food is quite disappointing. It is not the same in the photo menu, I ordered mix grilled seafoods but it has only 4pcs of small prawns, it has more of fish. For its price of 53, it’s not worth it. Also, the AC is very low it was little hot while Im eating.

The delivery was in good time and the guy was also nice but that's where the good things end. Ordered a King fish kurma which came with Indian breads. The Indian breads were stale and definitely needed a curry to soften up. The fish was days old atleast and the kurma was completely bland... Complete disaster would be an understatement but that was the reality... Never again! Edit added : Ordered a second time just to reverify - ordered grilled hammour and they sent me a cheap white fillet fish and when asked they were arguing it was hammour pic added... Huge scammers... Beware! Also terrible attitude...

We have ordered food here few times and the only good thing was paratha. I am sorry but food quality is very bad. We tried many dishes and none of them were good. Dear staff, please pay attention to it. There are many reviews which mention this too.

Today We ordered food (plain biriyani) along with chicken grill at 9.30 for dinner. The rice was spoiled and smelly. They don't regret for their mistake and spoke rudely at first. After send the same rice to them they checked and apologized. I don’t recommend for family and kids
