Souq Waqif

Traditional market
Shopping
Discover the vibrant atmosphere of Souq Waqif, a bustling market in Doha that offers a glimpse into traditional Arabian culture. Renovated to capture the essence of authentic souqs found in cities like Aleppo and Damascus, this open-air street market is filled with narrow alleys where merchants trade perfumes, handicrafts, jewelry, weavings, and silverware.
One of the most distinctive and vibrant markets in the Gulf region. A must-visit destination that blends tradition, flavor, and atmosphere in a truly special way. --- ✅ Positive Aspects: • Authentic charm: The souq preserves traditional architecture and cultural spirit while offering a modern, welcoming experience. • Delicious food: Restaurants serve a wide variety of tasty dishes, from local Qatari cuisine to international options. • Beautiful seating areas: Outdoor and indoor seating is comfortable and atmospheric—perfect for relaxing with friends or family. • Lively at all hours: The market stays busy even late at night, which is rare in the Gulf. This adds to its energy and appeal. • No downsides: My experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

What a place I never seen such a nice out of place. Neat and clean huge with lots of shops. Lots of restaurants a lot of good vibes around you can spend the whole day over there have a lot of different kinds of food, sweets tea coffee drinks you name it you can find it and you can find All kinds of different prices and you can enjoy their anything that you are thinking of having a nice environment. Look at my pictures and you will definitely go there.

I visited Souq Waqif in the evening, and the place was filled with a charming, warm atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed from the moment you arrive. The soft lights glowing on the traditional buildings create a beautiful scene, and with the quiet music and the scents of incense and food drifting through the alleys, it feels like stepping into a different world. The shops are very diverse—from perfumes and incense to spices, gifts, and traditional clothing—each with its own character. The restaurants and cafés also offer a lovely experience, whether you want a calm tea break or a light dinner surrounded by authentic vibes. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is safe, and the place is perfect for evening walks, shopping, and taking photos. A beautiful experience, and I truly recommend it to anyone who loves an authentic yet elegant ambiance. ✨❤️
Siham O — Google review
I visited Souq Waqif last September and absolutely loved the experience. The atmosphere is vibrant yet authentic — narrow alleys filled with the aroma of spices, freshly brewed Arabic coffee, and the sound of local music. The architecture beautifully preserves Qatar’s heritage, and the people are incredibly welcoming. There’s something for everyone — from traditional garments and souvenirs to art galleries and restaurants serving delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. I especially enjoyed wandering around in the evening when the souq comes alive with lights and local energy. If you want to experience the true essence of Qatar, Souq Waqif is a must-visit. Can’t wait to return on my next trip!
Radhe S — Google review
Definitely the highlight of Doha and one of the liveliest places in the city. The Souq sits on a historic trading site that has existed for more than a century. It was restored in 2006–2008 using traditional materials, giving it an authentic old-Qatar appearance. You’ll find everything here, Spices, perfumes, oud, traditional clothing, handicrafts, carpets, antiques, and souvenirs, Falcon Souq, lots of restaurants and cafes, and galleries, traditional workshops, and local artisan products. The lively night atmosphere here is simply AMAZING! Families, tourists, and locals walking through its narrow alleys, enjoying street performances, shisha cafés, and seasonal events. And with the Arab Cup around the corner, that place is going to be something else!! The Souq preserves Qatar’s market heritage while functioning as a cultural and social hub. It’s a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience traditional Gulf charm in the heart of modern Doha.
Abdulrahman Q — Google review
Souq Waqif is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Qatar. The atmosphere has an amazing, unique energy. The souq is full of diverse booths, restaurants, and street food. It’s a bit crowded, but the old alleys and traditional heritage give the place a wonderful charm.
White C — Google review
A beautiful, reconstructed traditional market right in the heart of Doha. It’s especially lively at night and honestly one of the best places in the city to walk around and spend time. It’s full of souvenir shops, nice restaurants, and cozy cafés. You can find all kinds of interesting local items like Qatari halwa, shisha, Arabic coffee, and lots of tasty food. One cool thing is that part of the market actually has cooling systems built into the floor to keep the area comfortable. The atmosphere is really pleasant and there’s parking available nearby.
Amir M — Google review
A beautiful place to visit showcasing local markets and restaurants. It tends to get busy at night especially weekends and winter time. Events also happen sometimes to entertain tourists, residents and locals with their family. You will also find here the iconic thumb finger.

The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) in Doha, Qatar is a renowned landmark designed by architect M. Pei and opened in 2008. The museum's exterior facade resembles a mosque and changes color throughout the day. Inside, visitors can explore 1400 years of Islamic art through displays of glassware, ceramics, metalwork, jewelry, textiles, and manuscripts across five floors.
Absolutely love this museum such a wonderful ambience had coffee at the coffee shop. Overlooked the city views . Excellent photo opportunity on either side of the building don’t just go to one and miss the other. There’s a restaurant that’s open in the evening on the rooftop that I would love to try. The layout of the museum is well thought .

Nice museum, like 4 floors , very nice, expect to spend from 1.5 hours and up if you read everything 😀 👍 , very educational. Interesting. My suggestion come near sunset time it's so beautiful , the views amazing outside to the city.
Marina B — Google review
Gazing at the magnificent architecture and view is rivalled only by the immense plethora of knowledge one is emerged it. It is definitely worth visiting. The museum displays Islamic history and modernity. Tickets are available at the entrance. Be ready for quite a walk, though you wouldn't notice it - once immersed in the vast ocean of knowledge.
Rizwana A — Google review
Wish I have more time to go around all the floors to view such interesting exhibits 🥺🫣 they are so exquisite quality and very informative🤩😍🤗 there's some sort of shuttle bus tat has a drop-off point in front of the museum. Please ensure to buy a transport card to enjoy the shuttle bus rides 🙏😀 [different from the metro aapd]

Museum of Islamic art is situated in its own island close to Corniche. The museum had permanent exhibits of art from various regions where the religion was prominent at a given time in history. They also had a temporary exhibit about the making of the museum. Loved this exhibit. They had original blue prints, Drawings, interviews etc. what was the philosophy behind the building shape and architecture. Do recommend to go there.
Avantika B — Google review
Beautiful building and exhibitions to stroll around for an hour or two. The audio tour could have been a bit more informative, and will definitely try the Alan Ducasse restaurant, Idam, next visit. It was very quiet and calm when I visited.
Shaad E — Google review
Fantastic collection; great building by IM Pei. Views across the water. Decent café but also top rated restaurant (not cheap). Lighting on objects is excellent -- no glare, easy to appreciate and also easy to photograph.
Stavros M — Google review
Beautifully designed museum from outside and inside. The exhibition goes in a circle on all of the 2 (3 with exhibition) floors. Amazing pieces but only little interactive - very traditional.

Katara Cultural Village is a waterfront complex in Doha that offers a blend of leisure, entertainment, and shopping. It pays homage to Qatar's past with its design as a traditional village featuring sandstone-hued lanes, mosques, cafes, boutiques, and coffee shops. The village also includes a 5,000-seater amphitheater overlooking the ocean where live concerts and entertainment take place.
What a beautiful setting. One part has outdoor air-conditioning. This plave would benefit from additional coffee shops, what exists already was extremely crouded. I wish they would extend the AC to the whole area... Lovely beach at the end.

Do not visit at the daytime during summer, it’s scorching hot and you won’t be able to enjoy yourself at the place. There are gorgeous minarets and Islamic architecture but the place felt a little disjointed to me, as if some of the structures or tourist spots were thrown together rather haphazardly.
Julius T — Google review
It is a unique blend of the infamous Arab luxury and European essence merged into a delightful experience. It caters to a wide variety of tastes and personalities. It is definitely worth visiting. I loved roaming through the village in the night. The atmosphere is indescribable, yet tranquil.
Rizwana A — Google review
Very beautiful open space with an amphitheatre. Has a port/ beach. Plan late evening here for beautiful little up scenery. And also to avoid the harsh sun. Lots of cafes near the amphitheatre side but can be a bit pricey

Oh my goodness. There are barely enough words to describe the beauty of this place. It was breathtaking, the architecture, the history, the monuments. Qataris have a way of making every building and site look unique and beautiful. The Katara Cultural Village was an incredible experience, and I learned so much from my tour guide about their culture and heritage. I wouldn’t mind visiting again.
Covenant — Google review
This was somewhere I had read about as somewhere to visit. So I put it in my itinary, it is however a bit Disney , Arabian Castle with food outlets. It was very quiet when I visited so lacked any sort of ambience so was a bit soulless. I am however advised it is a different proposition after dark. It is an interesting interlude if you are in the area but don't be too upset if you miss it.

An excellent setting and creation. Environment, decorations and settings all are very impressive. Recommended to visit once upon, ideal time to visit should be early before sunset and/or early evening.

Best place to be especially when the weather is nice, suitable for walks, runs, bicycle rides also, a magical sunrise
Fatma K — Google review
My scenic tour along the Corniche was a picturesque one, (though on my visit the hazy weather did my photos no justice,) I was happy to be at this beautiful Promenade with lovely harbour views. From the Dhow boats in the harbourfront, to the beautiful downtown Doha skyline, a nice leisurely walk along the foot path could lead you into Al Dafna Park and seems a tranquil place in the evening. Another area of interest...hopefully for a future visit

Aspire Park, the largest in the city at over 80 hectares, is a stunning green space featuring a lake, fountains, and playgrounds. Nestled behind the Villaggio and Hyatt Plaza, this expansive oasis offers a 1.6-kilometer jogging track and diverse aquatic life in its large lake.
Aspire Park is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend a visit. Beautifully kept gardens, lush green grass, lots of different trees, lots of shade and peaceful picnic spots. It doesn't feel like you are actually in a dessert country when you are at Aspire Park. Large man made lake with pedal boats for hire. Water fountains. Our favourite is the water bridge to walk through for a refreshing cool off. There are bike tracks all around the park, Jungle gyms, a skate venue and other outdoor equipment to enjoy. We love the fact that it's a save home to lots of birds, ducks, squirrels and we even found a tortoise. In the summer, because of the heat, the boat hire and little shops are closed during the day, and opens 4pm daily. But entry to the park is FREE, and it's amazing to enjoy the peace and space if you don't mind the heat during the morning. Lots of shady trees and the water bridge is great! At night it's a different experience with all the lights. Great visit either way.
Christel — Google review
Aspire Park NOT RECOMMENDED I visited the park as a solo male traveler. As I was entering, a security guard came up to me and said the park was for “families only,” and that I wasn’t allowed to enter alone. I tried to joke with him, saying, “I’m my own family,” but let’s just say he didn’t find it funny haha. In the end, I pretended to walk away, then sneaked in through another path — successfully. The park itself is… well, just a park. Lots of open space, some trees, kids playing football, and families picnicking everywhere. Security and staff were all over the place, and it felt quite crowded. I walked around and explored every area, then left through the same path I came in — passing the same guard who stopped me earlier. I stared him dead in the eye as I walked out. Felt so good 😂 Clarification: Who’s allowed to enter freely: • Adults with kids • Solo females • Males wearing sports attire (looks like they’re going to exercise) Who’s not allowed: • Groups of males • Solo males who don’t appear to be entering for sports Remember guys, even if they don’t let you in, just do it. Don’t be a wuss

Fantastic park to jog and do brisk walks in the morning, specially at this season ... lots of green trees, green, green grasses are well maintained... benches and shades available everywhere to have some rest in between. Beautiful sceneries to watch as well, if you're bored. You can watch the ducks swim in the lake, too...

The Qatar National Library is a treasure trove of knowledge, boasting over 1 million books that document the history of Qatar and the Gulf Region. Established as the country's official national library in 2018, it has become an invaluable resource for residents. The library features a stunning glass ceiling reaching 72 feet high and offers various amenities including collaborative and individual learning spaces, children's and young adult collections, computer labs, performance areas, dining options, assistive technology facilities, and a writing center.
Qatar National Library is truly a world-class institution — the best I’ve ever been to. It boasts state-of-the-art facilities, a stunning and serene environment, rich historical archives, and an impressive, diverse collection of books. A true haven for knowledge seekers.

Qatar National Library is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Doha. The architecture is stunning, bright, and spacious — perfect for studying, reading, or just relaxing. The collection is huge, from international books to rare manuscripts in the Heritage Library. Staff are always welcoming and helpful, and the facilities are very well organized with modern technology. I especially love the comfortable study areas and the quiet environment during weekdays. A must-visit for anyone living in or visiting Qatar!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Shanika K — Google review
My visit to the Qatar National Library was an absolutely magical experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the sheer beauty and architectural brilliance of the building. The open, light-filled space and the towering shelves of books create an atmosphere of both grandeur and serenity. But what truly makes this library special is its heart. It’s more than just a repository of books; it's a vibrant community hub. I saw children excitedly exploring the dedicated kids' section, students collaborating in quiet study pods, and people of all ages simply losing themselves in a good book. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and their passion for literature was contagious. The highlight for me was the heritage library, a true treasure trove of historical documents and rare manuscripts. It felt like a journey through time, a testament to Qatar's rich history and its commitment to preserving knowledge. Leaving the Qatar National Library, I felt a deep sense of peace and inspiration. It's a place that celebrates learning, fosters community, and honors the timeless magic of books. It’s a true gift to the people of Qatar and a must-visit for anyone who believes in the power of stories.

Must visit, if you are there in Qatar. Can be accessed by metro- green line. Designed by the famous architect Rem Koolhas, the building is extraordinary and superb. Be mindful of the rules. Photography with a professional camera is prohibited unless you clear the formalities. Mobile photography is fine, i guess. There is no entry fee. Visitors who plan to read have many reading areas distributed around. There is a cafe inside, incase you want to sip anything while exploring. Internet facility is also available. Feel free to stroll through the education city if you are free. Tram facility is available incase you dont want to walk. You can even visit QF Ceremonial Court which is pretty near.
Ambruu — Google review
My visit to the Qatar National Library (QNL) was stunning. The library’s architecture, designed by Rem Koolhaas, is incredible—it looks like a vast, folded piece of paper, flooding the interior with light. The experience successfully blends the past and the future. I was particularly struck by the rare volumes in the sunken Heritage Library, which truly honors Qatar’s history. In contrast, the modern spaces offer cutting-edge Innovation Stations with 3D printers and media labs. It’s more than just a place for books; it’s a dynamic center for creation, study, and community engagement.
Kriti T — Google review
The Qatar National Library is one of a kind. This is one of the best libraries I have visited throughout my travels. Apart from the architectural marvel, the arrangement of the books, as well as the reading areas, is amazing. The hanging chairs and suitable sofas are amazing for a light read. The library card and the automated checkout of books are impeccable. However, the medicine section was lacking; they had books relating to public health, psychology, and anatomy. I hope they expand these sections in the coming years. Downstairs is exclusively meant for religious history. The children's section is aptly decorated. Additionally, they have a museum depicting the history of writing. I would definitely recommend this place.

For those who enjoy sports, the ice skating rink is a must-try and adds so much fun to the visit. The mall also has a wide variety of stores, from luxury brands to casual shopping, and plenty of cafes and restaurants to relax and enjoy. The ambiance, combined with all the entertainment options, makes it perfect for a full-day outing with family or friends. Overall, Villagio Mall isn’t just a place to shop — it’s an experience. Villaggio Mall is definitely worth a visit when in Doha. It offers all the well-known international brands along with some charming local shops that give it a nice regional touch. The interior design is inspired by Venice, complete with a cute indoor canal where visitors can enjoy a gondola ride — a fun and unique experience for both kids and adults. The mall also features a large food court with a wide variety of dining options to suit any taste. Right next to it, there’s a full-sized ice-skating rink, which adds to the lively atmosphere and makes it a great spot to spend an entire afternoon. Overall, Villaggio Mall combines shopping, dining, and entertainment in a beautifully themed setting — a must-see destination in Doha.

Unbelievable place in Doha – Villaggio Mall feels like stepping into Venice inside a shopping center. There are canals with real gondolas, painted sky on the ceiling, and even a full-size ice rink where they play hockey games. Shops range from luxury brands to regular stores, and the whole atmosphere is just unique and worth seeing.

The Pearl Island, located in Qatar, is a modern development that offers freehold ownership to foreigners. It features luxury homes, parks, marinas, and glamorous resorts like The Four Seasons Resort and Residence. This man-made archipelago consists of 200 small artificial islands with golden sandy shores and upscale amenities such as design boutiques, global restaurants, beach clubs, and nightclubs.
A beautiful and luxurious island in Doha. While the roads are a bit narrow and can cause some traffic, it’s definitely worth a visit. There’s a charming area filled with restaurants to suit all tastes, beautifully decorated with umbrellas, lights, and lush greenery. Very elegant and inviting a great spot to stroll and dine.

The Pearl Qatar is a stunning, world-class island that combines luxury and beauty in every corner. With its fancy towers, breathtaking waterfront views, 5 stars hotels, gourmet restaurants, lively coffee shops, entertainment centers, and grocery shops/malls, it truly a paradise. The island has beautiful walking paths, water canals, sport areas, and marinas, making it a perfect spot for living, leisure, dining, shopping or simply enjoying the atmosphere over there. It's one of Qatar's iconic destinations, and must be visited by each and every visitor.

An all made up island. I went during the hottest month of the year. Bad experience, no one was there and it was so humid that I start to sweat like a fountain. It's mostly for luxury condo and hotel
Jonathan D — Google review
One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. You can't imagine it's in the Middle East. You'll feel like you're in Europe.
Ahmed G — Google review
Cool place to walk around. My only thing is it feels like there is significantly more residential things going on than restaurants and things to do. But the Qanat Quartier is a great place to walk around and get stunning photos.
Trenton M — Google review
The Pearl Island offers a glossy, curated urban experience with waterside flair and high-end amenities—but comes at a steep price, and many residents feel the glamour hides emptiness, poor long-term planning, and lack of community warmth. Lighter seasons bring crowds and atmosphere, but overall, it’s best suited for those who prioritize luxury, marina access, and convenience over authenticity or value.
Zia A — Google review
The Pearl Qatar is a stunning, luxurious destination that truly showcases the high-end lifestyle in Qatar. It’s known as the go-to spot for the rich and affluent, featuring beautiful marinas, upscale shopping, fine dining, and elegant residences. The atmosphere is sophisticated and glamorous—perfect for those wanting to experience the finer things in life. Whether you’re strolling along the waterfront, enjoying a gourmet meal, or exploring luxury boutiques, The Pearl offers a unique blend of elegance and style. Having lived and stayed in Viva Bahriyah, I can personally attest to the rich lifestyle and exclusive vibe this place offers. If you want to see how the wealthy in Qatar live and play, The Pearl is definitely the place to visit.

Some of the pictures have animated us to visit it. Isn't it a nice idea to sit in a Restaurant with view at the lights and channel to enjoy Dinner? We have been here, November, 9th in 2025. At first glance it has reminded us a little bit at Venice. But then we have seen that there were only a few people sitting in the Restaurants. Several Restaurants were empty and so were the Shops. Finally I have been in a public Restroom and seen that it was build in a very cheap way with broken Tiles, holes. Underneath the washbasins it was rusty and electric cables were hanging around. In connection with Electricity it looks dangerous. The seats of all Toilets were covered with water and more. Not hygienic at all. Toiletpaper was finished. What a pity. But give it a try! Get your own impression.

Absolutely adored the Experience menu here. All the meals and mocktails were so cool and the service was impeccable. Special shoutout to the Venison 👌 Just an overall great experience, our favourite restaurant in Doha and well deserving of the Michelin star!

Staff were warm welcoming from the moment I stepped in. The service was outstanding, delivered with true professionalism. The starters and main course were full of flavour with the beautiful presentations. Thank you for the unforgettable dining experience!

The restaurant is very beautiful and the staff are all very professional. Thank you to the manager for the explanation. In addition to the food, I also learned a lot about the restaurant design! It was a great experience. Thank you to everyone in the restaurant!

What an event, amazing food paired with very interesting cocktails, we especially liked the elderflower take on sparkling wine. The tour of the kitchen by the head chef after the main course made it an even more special night. The attentive service was not intrusive and extremely professional. Before dinner or lunch I would also recommend exploring the Museum of Islamic Art where the Idam is situated. A great way to build an appetite, you will need it..
Anthony O — Google review
We had an amazing experience here on our final night in Doha on a stopover. We enjoyed the seven course tasting menu with the langoustine and lamb being particular favourites. The menu was truly top class but it was the extra touches that made the experience memorable-the water glass feature, the butter mounds and extra treats throughout the meal and the biscuit box and menu to take home! We also had the ‘mocktail’ pairing which was thoughtfully matched to each course. A final appreciated touch was the invitation to tour the kitchen and meet the head chef and his colleagues and enjoy an added extra taste prepared in front of us. All staff were amazing but special mention to Shahid who made our experience even better with his attention to detail and his gentle humour. We booked tickets for the last hour at the museum and then travelled up to the restaurant as it closed. All in all a magical evening!

Every visit to IDAM by Alain Ducasse feels like a love letter to gastronomy. The artistry of Chef @fabricerosso is woven into every dish—each bite telling a story of passion, precision, and creativity. With their new menu, there’s even more to discover and savor. And now, with a well-deserved One Michelin Star, it’s a testament to their dedication to pushing culinary boundaries. Beyond the exquisite dishes, the mocktail pairing experience by @ratan_robi_ is just as remarkable—thoughtfully crafted to complement every flavor, earning its own recognition in the Michelin Guide. A true symphony of taste in every sip and bite.

We had a wonderful eight course dinner yesterday at Idam. We also had a non-alcoholic drink package, which was great and inventive. We were especially impressed by the waiter’s professionalism, really good food and a genuine, caring atmosphere. We were also introduced to the restaurant's terrace where we could see Doha in the evening light and we had a pleasant chat with idam employee (Maître d'?). The evening was a perfect start to this year. Thank you very much for this unique experience.

Restaurant
Nobu Doha, located in a stunning setting with breathtaking ocean views, offers a unique dining experience. As the largest Nobu in the world, it features a blend of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine by renowned Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa. The main dining area presents an impressive array of a la carte and buffet options, including sushi, maki rolls, fresh catches like oysters and prawns, foie gras, and ceviche.
Nobu Doha is truly an experience worth having at least once. The restaurant’s decor is absolutely stunning — from the impressive architecture to the elegant interior design, every detail feels luxurious and sophisticated. The food is delicious and beautifully presented, staying true to Nobu’s world-class reputation. Each dish bursts with flavor and creativity, although the portions are on the smaller side, so don’t expect to leave overly full. Be prepared for a hefty bill — around per person is typical — but the exceptional quality, ambiance, and service make it worthwhile for a special night out. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to treat themselves to a unique dining experience in Doha.
Bashar M — Google review
The food was quite nice and tasty, we had a great dinner. Service was fast and efficient, given that we came during low season (mid August) and at 7pm. The only thing was the music that I found too loud but I guess people go to Nobu for this kind of vibe.

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday at Nobu Doha, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the amazing outdoor seating that overlooked the marina. The views were simply breathtaking, with the shimmering water and the city lights creating a romantic backdrop that set the perfect mood for the celebration. Our server, Tyrese, truly made the evening special. He was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the menu in detail. His enthusiasm for the dishes was infectious, and his drink recommendations perfectly complemented our meal. Tyrese's exceptional customer service made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout the night. The food itself was exquisite—each dish was a masterpiece, blending traditional Japanese flavors with a modern twist. Overall, Nobu Doha provided an extraordinary dining experience that exceeded our expectations. With its stunning views, delicious food, and outstanding service from Tyrese, it was the perfect place to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The location is beautiful. Great views particularly at night. The ambiance is lovely. The lounge area is so cozy. Make reservation if you wish to be seated outside. The food is artistically presented and smells and tastes good for the type. The staff is very efficient and helpful.

Fresh seafood, sushi and desserts are the attraction of the day. Options are limited but good enough for a Friday Brunch. They were quick to repelnish what was finished, so you don't have to wait that long. Service by Tyrese was amazing. He paid attention to every guest in his area and kept checking back on us if we needed anything. Trying once is good enough for the brunch. Will probably try their Business Lunch next.
Ridtz R — Google review
As usual. Exceptional service. We were spoilt from start to finish. Every mouthful was amazing, what they manage to pack in to each dish is incredible. We felt pampered and cared for. As soon as my glass was empty I was asked what I would like to replace it. Not once was I left looking for service. I made great friends at the oyster bar. Once I progressed from the oysters and lobster, after a stunning main, they kept suggesting phenomenal combinations of their wares. The blending of these flavours were staggering. How do they compound so much into such a small package. Loved it. Expensive compared to other brunches? Most definitely. Worth it? Every time!!!

Beautiful place, wonderful food and great service!! Booked for Friday evening while we’re staying at Four Seasons. Had a free chauffeur service between the restaurant and the hotel! We ordered Omakase standard 550QAR per person but for 7 courses including the desert. Despite of my restrictions on what I can eat, the chef and staff were very accommodating and gave me more than I had expected! I truly appreciated their sincere hospitality and high level of service and great taste of food! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining at Nobu. After dinner, we were able to walk up to the top of the restaurant and enjoyed the panoramic view of Doha! What a wonderful experience at Nobu! Thank you so much!

The most beautiful restaurant…very atmospheric. Spectacular food - we shared the Qilin menu which was 10 different dishes all prepared and served so carefully. The service was also great - friendly and attentive. Only positive things to say about my experience here!

An exceptional dining experience! This restaurant truly stands out with its unique ambiance—dim lighting creates a cozy atmosphere and ensures a sense of privacy. The noodles were absolutely the best I’ve ever had, the appetizers were delicious, and the desserts were excellent. Orders arrived quickly, and the cocktails were top-notch, reflecting the skill of a highly professional kitchen team. Service was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommended!

Awesome new menu, definitely worth the wait after their renovation. In addition some new dim-sum selection for the Saturday brunch. Superb!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Shirako T — Google review
I was very excited to visit Hakkassan, as I ve never been there. And it was finally opened after renovation. We were two ladies and wanted to experience well known and awarded restaurant. There was an offer called Hakkatini night, includes 4 drinks and food(dim sum baskets, big plate of fried squid, etc) The restaurant was empty, we chose a table and were amazed with cozy atmosphere and design of the place. But then a waiter said that we cannot seat at the table and have to move to the bar if we want to go for Hakkatini night offer. We were planning to have a long conversation with my friend as we didn't see each other for a long time,to discuss some girlish topic, etc. We were not comfortable to seat on hight chairs by the bar and feel awkward to to talk in front of barmen. We asked for a manager to find a solution. But he was repeating few times the same thing, that we can only seat by the bar and not allowed to seat by the dining table. I have to mention that the restaurant was empty and there were plenty of vacant tables. Also there was food in this offer, which was not comfortable to have by the bar. We felt not comfortable and became nervous. It was first time to hear about this rules and not being flexible to customers, letting them enjoy the evening. In the end of discussion, manager allow us to seat on the dining table, it was was separate part of restaurant with six tables and they were not occupied by the end of the evening. After all, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, but the service can be better. It spoiled the whole impression. To keep the high standards of the place, the stuff can be trained better and the manager can be more flexible. I don't think I will come back soon.

This place truly lives up to its name. The walls are covered with photos of celebrities who have visited, and the food is bursting with flavor. I went for a quick lunch with my husband and enjoyed it so much that we came back with the boys a few days later. The owner is so warm and welcoming; she even remembered me and spoke with my children. It's a truly a family-friendly establishment.

I had breakfast here and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is authentic and welcoming, with a traditional Qatari charm that makes the experience special. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — a perfect way to start the day. What really stood out was the owner, who is also the chef, personally going around to greet guests at their tables. It added such a warm and personal touch to the experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a genuine local breakfast in Doha.

Came here because of the Qatar Airlines series on the chef and really enjoyed the food! It’s authentic Qatari breakfast, good serving sizes, great prices, and a nice diverse menu. The service from the waiters is…interesting. They weren’t rude though. We enjoyed our food a lot though! Definitely recommend coming here.
Maria K — Google review
I ordered Regag Egg with cheese and Karak with saffron. I liked the Regag Egg, although it was a bit salty. The Karak was warm and nice, though it was made with condensed milk — I personally prefer fresh milk, but I was told they only have condensed milk. I liked the ambience and the pictures displayed on the walls. It’s only missing a light touch of music. Service was okay.
Ali H — Google review
The staff are great and very polite. They handle complaints professionally. Great food. Needs more lighting or flowers or something to draw attention to it. I came to Qatar over 13 times and passed by without noticing. Maybe more work on the exterior to draw customers. Like photos of what you serve. Stumbled to it by accident.
DE — Google review
I had the chance to stop by Shay Al Shomous for a late breakfast just before closing — and I truly regret not discovering this gem earlier. The traditional saj and regag breads were full of flavor, and the Karak tea was something out of One Thousand and One Nights — absolutely perfect. What made the visit even more special was meeting Mrs. Al Shomous herself. She was the sweetest elderly lady I met during my trip to Doha. Despite her age, she warmly welcomed my daughters and treated them like her own grandchildren. We were honored to take a few memorable photos with her. This spot will definitely be on top of my list for my next visit to Qatar.

Parisa Souq Waqif is a luxurious Persian dining destination in Doha, known for its dramatic architecture and traditional Persian cuisine. The restaurant boasts opulent interiors adorned with hand-painted scenes from Persian legends, intricate tile mosaics, and thousands of sparkling mirror pieces collected from Iran. Ornate chandeliers illuminate the space, creating a mesmerizing ambiance.
We visited this Persian restaurant in Doha and were very impressed with the atmosphere and service. The décor was stunning, almost like dining at a king’s table, and the staff were extremely attentive, making the whole experience feel special. The food was good and nicely presented, but based on the high expectations set by the ambiance, I was hoping for a bit more in terms of flavor and uniqueness. Overall, a wonderful place for a memorable evening out, especially if you are looking for an elegant setting and top-notch service.
Uri Y — Google review
The atmosphere was amazing. A must see for visitors to Doha. The rush at the restaurant says alot but unfortunately, the food does not share the same story. I would rate the food as very ordinary, just average. Serving size was reasonable but I have seen better serving sizes in Persian restaurants. Service was good, food came quickly and waiters were active all the time. Waiting time was over an hour as we had gone without reservation.
Yunus G — Google review
Having been to Iran I can say the food was excellent and ingredients were authentic. The atmosphere is great. The decor was beautiful and staff was very kind. I highly recommend this restaurant in Souq Waqif. I do recommend reservations. It’s busy.
Genevieve M — Google review
We had a wonderful meal at Parisa in the Souq Waqif — everything was delicious, but the rice pudding was the absolute standout! We ordered the lemon mint, chicken kebab with saffron rice, and a cucumber salad to start. The complimentary bread and garlic sauce served at the table were such a nice touch and so full of flavor. The real star of the experience, though, is the atmosphere. Parisa is overwhelmingly beautiful — from the intricate mirrored walls to the shimmering chandeliers and the stunning Koi pond in the middle of the restaurant. It’s so enchanting that people often stop in just to take photos and admire the space, even if they aren’t dining. The prices are a little higher than average, but completely fair given the location and the experience. Overall, an unforgettable meal in one of Doha’s most magical and iconic settings.
Sandra G — Google review
The extravagant interior definitely makes it a good spot for gatherings and photos, but the food was also delicious and I’m glad that I got to try Persian food in this region. The lamb is absolutely the table’s favorite!

Morimoto Doha is a top choice for fine dining in the city, offering an exquisite experience of Japanese cuisine. Located within Mondrian Doha, the restaurant features elegant private dining rooms adorned with stunning artworks by Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju. The opulent ambiance exudes Eastern energy, with plush sofas and charcoal surroundings complemented by a rose gold chandelier. Guests can indulge in a decadent Japanese feast including tartars, robata, tempura, sushi, and sashimi.
You won't be sorry. This place is a perfect afternoon lunch spot, especially for a business lunch. At just 95 QR per person for a 3-course meal, it offers incredible value without compromising on quality. The starters—crispy chicken wings and shrimp—were perfectly fried with a light, flavorful crust that set a great tone for the meal. For mains, the chicken was juicy and paired beautifully with a rich butter mushroom sauce, while the shepherd’s pie was creamy, comforting, and full of flavor. The meal ended on a high note with a generously sized slice of cheesecake—smooth, delicious, and the perfect sweet finish. To top it all off, our waiter ShaShi was such a delight—professional, attentive, and genuinely warm, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for a relaxed yet refined midday meal.

Great personalized service and delicious food in a nice ambiance. The staff went above and beyond by surprising my friend with extra cake for her birthday. Truly thoughtful and memorable. Special thanks to Ms. Mary.

I pride myself on being honest and transparent when leaving reviews. We visited Morimoto Doha at the Mondrian Hotel and ordered the yakisoba with chicken, chicken ramen, chicken gyoza, a side of sushi, shishito peppers, edamame, and vegetable tempura. Everything was good, but nothing truly stood out at the level we were expecting for the price. It may be that the restaurant’s strengths lie more in their fish or beef options, which we did not try this time. Still, for us, nothing felt particularly memorable or worth returning for. On the positive side, the service was excellent and the dining room itself is stunning and creates a wonderful atmosphere.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance and service were warm and welcoming. The pizza and pasta we ordered was exceptional, but what truly stood out was their amazing tiramisu, perfectly creamy, rich, and not overly sweet. Easily one of the best I’ve had! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. Will definitely be back!

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Doha! I used to come here often for business lunches. It was a weekend night and there seemed to be an event going on, the place was packed. The cheerful Italian chef even came over to my table to greet me and explain the dishes. To my surprise, he treated me to a complimentary ravioli, such amazing hospitality! A Ukrainian singer performed live with piano music and her voice was absolutely beautiful. The avocado salad appetizer was refreshing and the rich cheese matched the salad perfectly. The portion was quite generous so it’s great for sharing too. The pasta was al dente and paired perfectly with the tomato sauce, the flavor was spot on. For dessert, I had chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips, just the right amount of sweetness. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff were all friendly and attentive. Pleasantly surprised by how delicious the good was. It's a lovely Italian restaurant with a good variety of dishes. It's also popular with the guests. The tables quickly filled up by dinner time. Would absolutely recommend this place for a night out.

Incredibly delicious food served by attentive and knowledgeable staff. Restaurant was a bit noise, large birthday group at bar but did not detract from culinary experience. Food was 5/5, we left nothing on the plates. Food was good value for money given high quality, wine was expensive but this is Qatar so to be expected. Bill for two was 900 of which 550 was wine

The most wonderful service at La Spiga. I had experienced food poisoning in previous days and flew into Qatar that evening so was extremely drained. However, the kind team of Solomon and Chef Valario arrange a special dinner for me, to suit my dietary needs and it was delicious. I really appreciated Solomon’s consideration and time to make sure I had all I needed, and I’m excited to visit again, once I can eat more freely!

I had the pleasure of frequenting La Spiga recently, not once but twice, and was pleasantly surprised by their novel initiative of offering women three complimentary drinks. During their happy hours, they showcase an impressive array of refreshments and light bites. The culinary offerings are prepared fresh, and I had the opportunity to savor some crispy appetizers, risotto, and pizza. The Italian cuisine at La Spiga continues to rank among the finest in Doha. They provide both indoor and outdoor dining options. The culinary excellence is consistent, and the management and crew are remarkably affable and efficient. I look forward to my next visit!

Came here last twice in the last 10 days for different celebration and gathering and we were mostly Italians. We felt at home! I had ricotta gnocchi with truffle and pecorino sauce. The peach and mint crème brûlée was so nice and fresh. Great cocktails too!

Bayt Sharq is a Qatari restaurant located in a historic heritage house, offering a glimpse into the region's past. The century-old building houses a small museum showcasing artifacts from its former inhabitants, while the courtyard boasts lush greenery and vintage decor.
Was really wowed by this restaurant. Our first day in Doha and we wanted to sample some of the local cuisine. The food was fantastic with many typical Qatari options on the menu. The setting is beautiful and the staff members are very attentive and helpful. The setting is also really beautiful with both indoor, outdoor, and private rooms available.

I recently had breakfast at this restaurant and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff greeted us with genuine hospitality and made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. The food was delicious — freshly made and full of authentic flavors and the karak tea was rich and aromatic, just the way it should be. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to linger and enjoy your morning slowly. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

What a gorgeous spot for authentic Qatari food. The atmosphere was so relaxing. The food was amazing - strongly recommend the saffron cake. We found the price quite reasonable as well. The service was decentx

A Qatari restaurant with delicious food. The portion is perfect for one person. The staff are respectful and their service is excellent. The place is quiet, classy, and close to a hotel.

The food here is really delicious, I really enjoyed it and the waiter Shabir really give us a nice service
Jarunee T — Google review
Family brunch here was lovely. The breakfast platter was delicious with a huge variety of Qatari delights. The tea was fantastic. The outdoor dining area was very peaceful (except the flies) and there is also an indoor area. Staff accommodated for kids and were polite and friendly. Just a side note, they don’t refill the teas with the breakfast platter.

We spent our last evening in Doha dining at this very special restaurant and heritage home. We dined in the gardens which was a really cool experience and we ensured that we both ate local cuisine for that added authentic experience. I had Merhooba and my wife a prawn dish whose name escapes me. We both thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate and the bill was'nt a shock to my wallet. I would highly recommend dining here when in Doha.

Bayt Sharq — The Home Turned Heritage Restaurant Bayt Sharq, now a restaurant in Doha, is housed in the former residence of Sheikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khelaifi. Built in the early 20th century (1925), the home is a living piece of Qatari heritage, preserving the atmosphere of traditional Gulf architecture and paying homage to the life and legacy of the Sirdal who once lived there. Visitors today experience not only local cuisine, but also the cultural imprint of a man who devoted his life to Qatar’s pearling era — the industry that shaped the nation before oil.

A contemporary Qatari restaurant that is definitely worth trying. The food was excellent (we tried the Majkouzi). The place is big and spacious, they have both outdoor and indoor seating. The portions are big and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended.

OH BOY . We arrived late after a night out in this beautiful country had coffee desserts and we were kinda full but this place was highly recommended so we just wanted to order a main dish each and wow the prices for what’s on offer is kinda shocking. We asked our amazing waitresses what is the most ordered and what she recommended and we landed on 1 - mashkhoul chicken … : an over cooked chicken with bland rice this summs it up 2 majbous al shuyoukh : a greasy rice topped with nice braised beef the beef was kinda good but the greasy rice kills it . Again kinda bland. In fairness we weren’t so hungry but we still finished our dishes and still the main issue is the price for what you get this is an absolute high way robbery 😂 . I mean charge as much as you want just deliver something that actually justifies what we pay for . The place it self had a Great atmosphere and a really nice place both ground floor and the second floor both had an amazing seating and water fixtures and great lighting The only disappointment in our trip if they just think about lowering the prices or literally give you an awesome dish to mach the prices it would have been a great experience . Last thing — the staff was the saving grace for this place they were amazing hospitable and extremely friendly and polite ❤️🙏🏻
Azooz A — Google review
Amazing atmosphere with a beautiful interior. The food was amazing with great value for money. The staff were so lovely. The only set back I would point out is to be cautious of drink prices eg. 8£ cappuccino. The rest was great. Highly recommend this place.

Really nice traditional and locally visited restaurant right next to the National Qatar Museum. The tabouleh was perfection and the grills were spiced really nicely. Highly recommend for someone trying to have a high quality meal before or after the museum.

A classy restaurant that also offers shisha. The food experience was nice — we picked some Syrian dishes and they turned out to be delicious.

Best dining experience in Doha. Amazing atmosphere, great service , and delicious food. Maria provided great service .. she was really helpful ✨🤍

The food was ok, not bad. The good quality of meat/seafood definitely helps. But the dishes are just basic, nothing special about them. The dishes were not served hot, so it felt like they were heated leftovers (although they might have been fresh, it's just the food temperature that gives the leftover illusion).

One of the best places that serves authentic Gulf cuisine in an innovative way, with a flavor you won’t find anywhere else. The place is absolutely beautiful, the food is delicious, and the presentation is stunning — truly one of those experiences I never

La Mar Doha by Gastón Acurio

Mentioned on

Restaurant
La Mar Doha by Gastón Acurio, situated at the InterContinental Doha Beach & Spa, is a modern Peruvian restaurant that showcases the lively tastes and exquisite seafood of South America in Qatar. With its beachfront location offering breathtaking city views, it's an ideal setting for special gatherings. The menu features a fusion of rich Peruvian flavors with a Japanese influence, including Chef Gaston Acurio's signature tiradito and an array of charcoal-grilled meats.
I don’t typically leave reviews unless I had outstanding service… but this restaurant is great. The food was amazing, drinks, service, everything. Even the hostess team! It truly makes a difference when all the employees are coming into work with positive happy energy and attitudes. Shyma (sorry if I’m spelling this wrong) a hostess was so kind, friendly and accommodating! Her energy from the moment we walked in really set the mood for the whole experience. If I was a “secret shop” (a test guest from the company to ensure quality) they would have aced it. 10/10! Great work everyone!!
Rachelle P — Google review
An unforgettable dining experience at La Mar Doha by Gastón Acurio. We are regulars at Yakumanka in Barcelona, and once again Gastón’s world-class Peruvian cuisine exceeded every expectation. The atmosphere is stunning, with elegant décor and a vibrant, welcoming ambiance that makes the restaurant truly special. The food is simply outstanding, and the drinks—especially the Pisco Sours—were perfection. We enjoyed them so much that we ended up having more than two each! Highlights of the evening included the Cebiche Clásico, a timeless dish that never fails to impress, the Tiradito Chucuito with scallops in an exquisite sauce, and the Lomo Saltado, my personal favorite, always bursting with flavor. To make the experience even more unique, Chef Fran generously invited us—as loyal guests and fans of Gastón Acurio’s cuisine—to enjoy special treats: tender and flavorful octopus, delicate alfajores as the perfect petit fours, and refreshing fruit popsicles that crowned the evening beautifully. A heartfelt thank you to Fran and the entire team for their generosity, kindness, and professionalism—they truly made us feel at home. La Mar Doha is without doubt one of the best restaurants in the city, fully deserving of its many awards and recognitions. Highly recommended!

This is a well designed restaurant. But the ceviche tuna had strong smell. The water in glass bottle had bad metallic taste. Expiry date was two years. But this date could be influenced by storage and shipping conditions. The manager tried customer recovery but we didn’t want desert anyway.

We had a lovely first dinner in Qatar here. The food is amazing (I recommend the tasting “flight” of ceviches, the croquettes, the scallops and the TRES LECHES CAKE)! I enjoyed every dish we ordered and portions are just right. The staff were professional, friendly and very attentive as well. Thank you to Tun for taking such good care of us!
Wynnifred L — Google review
The food is delicious, and the service was great. We visited in Summer, so it was the quiet season, as we had shorts on we had to sit outside, so wear pants if you want to sit in aircon. Apart from having to sit outside in the heat the rest of the experience was enjoyable. We particularly enjoyed the scallops and the ceviches.

This is one of our favorite airports in the world. Whenever we are traveling from the states heading east we always try to fly Qatar Airways as they simply do it better than anyone else. I am a Diamond Medallion member for Delta and have been for years, but when flying internationally, nothing beats this airline. There’s a reason why they’re typically either ranked number one or two worldwide in service because they seem to be more on time have more comfortable aircraft have better food and a super nice Flight crew to go along with it. Staying for layovers in this airport is outstanding. They have a world renowned shopping mall with both high-end and standard shops. There are hundreds of food options and they’re all open 24 seven. The best part is the Eden airport hotels the only place this occurs in the world. You don’t have to go through security you don’t have to get a visa. You don’t have to pay the US$27 in order to go outside of the airport to stay in the hotel so if you have the option to do a longer layover you have two hotels that are inside security or air side where you can simply walk off your plane. Go right to the hotel get a good nights sleep and then go right to the gate for your connecting flight. Is a great experience. We love this airport and we will definitely be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best airports in the world—truly a masterpiece. Hamad International Airport blends luxury, comfort, and efficiency in the most impressive way. The design is stunning, the spaces are spotless, and every detail feels premium. Security and immigration are extremely smooth, the staff are professional and friendly, and the signage is very clear. The shopping and dining options are exceptional, and the airport feels more like a high-end mall than a transit hub. The atmosphere is calm, organized, and stress-free. Whether you’re arriving, departing, or connecting, the experience is always flawless. A world-class airport that sets the standard globally. Highly recommended.

One of the best airports in have been to! It’s a small city in itself! Planned in a way that travellers on layovers get maximum rest and also good shops around to spend time! I really enjoyed my time in the Orchard which is a garden full of greens within the airport.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hamad International Airport (DOH) – Review Hamad International Airport in Doha is truly one of the most beautiful and luxurious airports in the world. Every time I travel through DOH, I’m impressed by how modern, clean, and visually stunning this airport is. From the moment you arrive, everything feels organized, high-class, and designed for comfort. The terminal is extremely spacious with bright lighting, polished floors, and incredible contemporary architecture. The airport features impressive art installations — including massive sculptures, golden geometric pieces, and unique modern designs you don’t see anywhere else. Even just walking through the terminal feels like visiting a museum. One of the standout features is the luxury displays, including high-end cars showcased in the middle of the airport. It instantly gives DOH a premium, exclusive vibe. The shopping options are top-tier with brands like Givenchy and many upscale stores, plus excellent cafés and restaurants. The entire airport is very clean, and the staff is always helpful and professional. Navigation is simple with clear signage, and despite being a huge international hub, it never feels chaotic. Overall, Hamad International Airport delivers 5-star quality in every detail — design, comfort, art, shopping, and atmosphere. It’s easily one of the best airports in the world and a pleasure to transit through on any journey with Qatar Airways.

One of my favorite airports in the world, and one of the nicest as well. Hamad International Airport is a global hub that pretty much connects the entire world. Opened in 2014, it replaced the old Doha International Airport and now serves as the primary hub for Qatar Airways. Known for its spacious design, efficiency, and high-end facilities, HIA features expansive terminal halls, quiet zones, lounges, an indoor tropical garden (The Orchard), art installations, and premium shopping. One of its most iconic artworks is the giant “Lamp Bear” sculpture by Urs Fischer in the central concourse. Hamad International consistently ranks among the top global airports for passenger experience, comfort, and connectivity. And it really deserves its top rankings according to my multiple experiences through it.
Abdulrahman Q — Google review
The airport looks and feels like big Mall. So many high end stores, beautiful palm trees inside, waterfall, big metal compositions of animals at the diner table and animals on the big bicycle. So much to see at airport that we forgot why we where there (just like everyone else to fly out). Very clean, modern convenient airport. The best I have ever been in.
Inna M — Google review
Clean, spacious and modern airport. Very big in size so make sure you allocate ample time to get to your gate. Despite all the space, it is also very crowded so most nice areas (i.e the Orchid) are over flooded with people. Hopefully they will build more in the future.
