Fine dining restaurant
Located in the heart of Palma's old town at Hotel Convent de la Missio, Marc Fosh Restaurant offers an affordable Michelin-starred dining experience. The restaurant, opened by award-winning British chef Marc Fosh, serves modern Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on seasonal ingredients. Guests can indulge in tasting menus and wine pairings in the sleek and contemporary setting.
We had the joy of visiting Marc Fosh yet again and enjoying the new tasting menu — as usual, it was nothing short of extraordinary. Vegetarian menu available! Each dish was beautifully composed, with a deep respect for local flavors. The progression of the menu felt thoughtful and refined, with every plate offering a new surprise. The wine pairing was exceptional! — clearly curated with care and expertise, elevating the dishes & adding an extra layer of delight to the evening. The service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the whole experience feel special yet relaxed. A special thank you to Mike, who deserves a particular mention for his warmth and expertise!

I'll start from the end - my experience at this restaurant was very, very disappointing. My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and chose this restaurant because it looked stunning to us and I read good comments about this restaurant. In fact, we had an experience that really doesn't fit a Michelin restaurant (from experience) - the meal took 4 and a half (!!!) hours, meaning we left at 12:30 at night, even a little later. Each dish was served a really long time after the previous dish and the service was, in my opinion, quite slow. Another and most important thing - we warned in advance that we were lactose sensitive and the last dessert had lactose (!!!). The manager ran to us and apologized and asked if we were taking any lactose pills and said we didn't have any... Of course they thought about what to do and it took them a while until the bill arrived and finally we saw that they hadn't charged us for the 2 desserts in the meal. I personally think that for such a mistake by a restaurant of such a high standard, they shouldn't charge me for the entire meal. But again, that's just my opinion. In addition, they told us they would call us the next day to see if we were feeling well and to ask how we were doing - and of course they didn't call. It's disappointing that a restaurant of this level doesn't pay attention to such important points and even disrespects customers. I won't go back there.

The setting and place just breathtaking. They take you to another world as soon as you enter. The place is full of good energy and very tasteful decoration. We had some Ruinart as well as Marc Fosh’s 5 courses menu. I would say that for my part every single salty hors d’œuvre/tasting was amazing and out of this world. However, for the sweet ones, I was a bit disappointed and did not enjoy a lot this part. Fortunately my birthday cake was sincerely delicious and helped save the day! Very special mention for: the lobster, the foie gras (which was INCREDIBLE) and the pigeon which were definitely 5⭐️

Great tasting menu with wine paring. Every dish was exceptionable and paired with a great selection of Spanish / Majorcan wines Friendly , knowledgeable staff. Marc Fosh himself takes time to greet each table as they arrive, which was a nice touch. Edited the review from 5 star to 4 star overall and for service, looked at our bill today and realised that we were charged for a glass of red wine that never arrived, at time we just assumed they forgot as it was ordered at start of meal to come with a certain dish, it wasn’t until today we realised they still charged for it. These things happen and wouldn’t put us off returning.

The harmony between the dishes and the wine pairings was remarkable. Each combination elevated the flavors in unexpected ways. The sommelier’s explanations added a real touch of depth to the experience. A true delight for food and wine lovers!”

The personal was wonderfully welcoming, Mike and the rest made me feel like a queen. I had the Marc degustation menu and is was a delight from start to finish. I loved how he blended the local delicacies with a futuristic presentation, every plate was like a piece of art, and every bite a surprise.

This is an extraordinary dining experience pairing the very best of Spanish seasonal produce with creativity, art, a lot of passion and first class service. There is a 6 or 10 course degustation with two beautiful amuse bouche which are as pretty as they are tasty. For a weekday lunch I chose the shorter menu which surprised in so many ways and was one of the most inatagrammable meals I’ve had. The sommelier paired local wines from Mallorca with each dish, and the cocktails were exceptionally good. It is the type of restaurant people return to over bar over.

We had an absolutely fantastic evening. The food was exceptional and the attention from the staff was outstanding. A special mention goes to Manager Mike, who takes care of every detail throughout the service. We enjoyed the Aromas Menu with wine pairing, and Mike took us on a journey through different countries, explaining each wine perfectly. It was an unforgettable experience to discover and taste so many different grapes from around the world. Thank you to the entire kitchen team, and once again thank you, Mike, for making our evening truly unforgettable.

Mediterranean restaurant
Es Boldado is a hidden gem in Ibiza, accessible via a rugged dirt track off the main road. This charming restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere with no pretense, serving generous portions of fresh seafood paella and offering stunning views of the turquoise sea and Es Vedra island. Over its 12 years in operation, Es Boldado has been delighting diners with Mediterranean dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, particularly an array of fish and seafood options prepared to order.
The food was some of the best we've tasted yet. The squid and octopus were amazing, beautiful presentations, and very helpful staff. The view was beyond breathtaking. Definetly coming back !

Seafood restaurant with a beautiful view which makes it. Food was terrible slop, and very overpriced. Had grilled Grouper and grilled Monkfish, which were below average- monkfish came out partially raw so had to send back to cook further. Calamari starter was too salty and marinated anchovies were far too garlicky- felt like the chef hates the guests! But nice views of the sunset.

A place with stunning views and amazing food. We had a great time at this restaurant. We ordered a few starters and rice. Everything was delicious. I recommend booking in advance since the place gets quite crowded. The views to the rocks on the water are just mesmerising.

The place is amazing, besides to eat with the greatest view of the island: Es Vedra, the food is really good, and the service spectacular. I will definitely come back to this place is really worth to visit

The food, the view, the reserved table everything was top notch - good value for a great meal. The only thing that was amiss was the lemon tiramisu, instead of this it would have been much nicer to have some fresh fruit ! Maricos and champagne classic !

The food was good but I’m not sure why the ratings are so high. Multiple cars, including ours, were broken into during broad daylight. There were no visible items in the car. Luckily there was only low-value items in the trunk that they took. The restaurant has a sign that warns not to leave valuables in the car, so it must be a common occurrence. 1. Service: Horrible service. The waiters barely acknowledge you and had a stern demeaner the entire time, as if they were bothered to have to serve you. There was one middle-aged female waitress with dark hair who was warm and friendly but we only had her for a short time. 2. Food: We had the paella which was good, but that's to be expected for €84, which was the minimum for two people. It was way too much for two people after drinks and appetizers. It would've been nice to have the option for half portion. The Cava sangria was really good. 3. Atmosphere: Nice, but doesn't justify the price. The view is beautiful but it’s the same view you get from the free beaches, short walks, and multiple bars. And it was HOT. There were no fans and no air conditioning. I've been to many outdoor restaurants and they find a way to keep clients cool. In summary, the food is good, but not enough to justify the prices and high risk of your car getting robbed.

Panorama on es vedra is breath taking. Food options for solo travelers are limited till 3 dishes. The rest is for 2 people or more. I thinks it is a bit weird. Also the table I got as solo travelled was not the best. Staff was ok-ish. Quick but not very proactive.

Try here for food with a view of Es Vedra! Probably the best paella I have ever had though it was missing some tools for those crab legs

Fine dining restaurant
Béns d'Avall Restaurant is a renowned dining spot in Mallorca, situated near Soller on the northeast coast. With a picturesque sea-view terrace, this establishment offers refined Balearic dishes, including bouillabaisse. The restaurant's gastronomic proposal, honored with a Michelin star, showcases traditional cuisine of the Balearic Islands using products from their own garden and applying permaculture techniques.
One of the best Michelin star(s) experience I've ever had. The food is absolutely sublime, executed and presented to a very high standard, respecting the seasonality and the local influence. The service is exquisite, running like clockwork, and the atmosphere and the view is simply stunning, making the whole experience unforgettable. Note, they only serve tasting menu and you won't know what you'll have until you get it. You have to let them know any dietary requirements at the time of booking (the do offer pescetarian menu, which I had, not sure about the vegetarian; they did not offer the vegan option, however, if I remember correctly). Do allow yourself enough time to get there as the road is quite tricky.

Great place for the fine dining experience! The unforgettable place where I celebrated by birthday. The most amazing part of the restaurant is incredible views to catch the sunset. Food was great - a real representation of craftsmanship. The starter was this mix of three small bites, all of them in the shape of sweet desserts while the taste was savoury. That’s the great representation of what you will experience throughout the whole dinner - combination of sweet and salty. Loved all the dishes but I thought that lamb texture was a bit off (felt like can food) and for my taste too many deserts but all of them were incredible! Service is extremely friendly and well trained. All in all great experience!

Excellent choice both for views and quality of food. This is an innovative restaurant for presentation and concept. You mainly use your fingers to eat the 13 dish tasting menu. They use local organic ingredients and they modernize and twist traditional recipes. I read a lot of reviews and I really don't understand the bad ratings. Probably, they had never been in an upscale restaurant before . I made a reservation for a group of 6 and we were all very pleased. Just be careful if you have allergies, especially lactose intolerance because dishes are very complex. Sunset is incredible here!

Incredible Michelin Star experience. Fantastic food, service and wine pairing. Impressive the amount of detail of the food and the amazing food.

Béns d’Avall is an exceptional restaurant that delivers on every level. The setting alone, perched high on a cliff above the Mediterranean with sweeping sea views, is breathtaking. The food is incredible — creative, refined, and rooted in Balearic tradition, with every course bursting with flavor and artistry. What truly elevates the experience, though, is the service: warm, attentive, and highly personalized, making you feel like a valued guest from start to finish. Nieve the manager and Chef Benet Vicens truly made the experience absolutely extraordinary. A visit here is more than a meal — it’s a memorable experience that captures the very best of Mallorca.

Walked out… Had high hopes for this place but the service and food were both bad. It took almost 3 hours to get through the appetizers and main course. I say “get through” because the dishes were pretty terrible actually. Savoury fillings put into sweet pastries, dishes with too many competing flavours (and way too much salt). The worst offender, the lamb dish which as another reviewer aptly described as “tasting like an old hotdog”. After the three hour mark we decided to leave, skipping the four remaining desserts. The price for this restaurant is ridiculous for the food they are serving. Can easily say worst meal of the year. I half expected someone to come out and tell me it was a prank. The actual restaurant location is nice and the view is good too.

Fine dining experience that met all our expectations. The food was interesting and thoughtful and we tried things that were new to our taste buds. The chef is passionate about the island and it shows in the food, the staff are very informed and friendly and the view? There’s nothing like it. Start early to catch the sunset that leaves you mesmerised!
Samira S — Google review
Very deserving of its Michelin star. Firstly the view. It is unrivalled. We've travelled pretty extensively and eaten at quite a number of fine dining restaurants and we had to pick our jaws off the floor when we saw this view. We were actually a little apprehensive when reading the negative reviews about the food but by the end of the night, we were so glad we came. The food fitted very well with other fine diners and others of the same calibre when it comes to Michelin stars, if not more stars. Ignore the haters, I'm not sure they quite understand what fine dining in Europe and the rest of the world entails. Service was spot on, nice touches with a blanket for after the sun set and extra cake course to celebrate my partner's birthday. Contacting a taxi prior to our bill payment. Lads who are looking for a place to propose to your significant other, this is the place!

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant Café Balear, originally a humble tavern in the 1970s, has become a culinary gem on the island. The Rosa Santa Primera fishing vessel delivers fresh catch exclusively for the restaurant's menu. The seasonal offerings include tapas and meat dishes sourced from locally fed livestock. Depending on the daily catch, patrons can savor the bogavante lobster, known as the largest edible crustacean in the Mediterranean.
Café Balear is a must-visit restaurant if you are in Menorca. They have earned a reputation for super top notch seafood a four experience was nothing less. The excellent food was rivaled only by their hospitality: still family owned and operated which is noticeable. Don’t miss it!

Seafood items are fresh and cooked to perfection. Paella was very authentic and delicious. Outdoor dining spaces are really great and warmed up. The staffs are also very friendly and welcoming.

Overall, the food was really good – we enjoyed it! However, the portions were slightly below the Spanish average, which left us wanting a bit more. Also, despite booking more than a week in advance, we weren’t given a table outside as requested. A small suggestion: it would be nice to have the option of ordering sangria by the glass instead of only offering a full liter. Still, a pleasant evening overall.
Emanuele T — Google review
We’d read so many great reviews of Café Balear and it did not disappoint. Tucked away at the quieter end of the street, it was the perfect spot for a long lunch. From starters through to dessert, everything was fantastic – beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and paired with excellent wine. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Good fish restaurant, with everything that usually means: fast, but not very friendly service. Tried their octopus, paela and cheesecake for dessert, everything was pretty good.

One of the famous adresses in fancy Ciutadella. We were lucky to be off busy périod and went there with no booking and ended up on the outside terrasse. It was so pleasant, in this small and narrow Harbour. The food was really nice. We had a delicious and perfectly cooked fish. Very enjoyable. A bit expensive but its Ciutadella…

This could be an excellent place, but it’s far too difficult to get the attention of the staff. Once you do, they’re helpful, but the busy, slightly chaotic service takes away from the overall dining experience. The food is traditional and tasty, with classic ingredients, no real complaints there. However, the price-value ratio feels off to me. Still, if you’re after some seafood with a good old-fashioned harbour sunset, it’s worth a visit.
Vilmos D — Google review
The food here was exquisite. It was the best meal we had in Menorca and the food was delicious. Super fresh and well priced. The service was also top notch, with all waiters being incredibly polite and recommending great dishes. Would 100% return again!

Nestled within the luxurious Ibiza Gran Hotel, La Gaia by Óscar Molina is a culinary gem that captivates with its stunning decor and innovative cuisine. This chic restaurant boasts walls adorned with striking photographs, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Guests can indulge in either a 10-course or 14-course tasting menu that artfully combines local flavors with international influences, particularly drawing inspiration from Japan and Peru.
We visited La Gaia yesterday. From start to finish the service and atmosphere was outstanding! The experience started with us moving through 3 stations where we watched them prepare our welcome bites. This is not something we have experience in any other high end restaurant. We were then shown to our table. We were celebrating my birthday and every member of staff wished me a happy birthday which was very sweet! Our waiters were attentive and able to give the detail to every course with humour and knowledge -particular thanks to Pedro who made the evening even more special for us by looking after us so well. The food was amazing we ate the Horiztzó tasting menu with accompanied tasting wines. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. They told us that they have recently reopened in a new space within the Ibiza Gran Hotel. It was a lovely simple, elegant room. We were well spaced from other tables and also able to see final preparation of some courses at the table. We had an additional course of a beautiful birthday cake which my husband had organised with the restaurant. Having eaten at many amazing places, we cannot imagine it will be long before La Gaia has a second Michelin star! Thank you to all the team for making our experience so special.

This was by far my best dining experience, EVER. We came here for my boyfriend’s birthday celebration. the staff / waiters were fluent in English and brought us on a journey with the menu. The tasting menu is fantastic. We both were so full, couldn’t even finish the dessert so we brought it was takeaway. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone coming to Ibiza. I’m looking forward to dining with them again next time I’m in town

Dining at La Gaia was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet inviting, with elegant design that perfectly sets the tone for what’s to come. Each dish was a masterpiece, creative and beautifully presented, with bold and balanced flavors. The tasting menu felt like a true journey, blending Mediterranean essence with Asian influences in a way that was both surprising and harmonious. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, and the wine pairing elevated the entire experience. La Gaia fully deserves its Michelin star. It is not just dinner, it is a refined culinary experience that stays with you long after the last bite.

One of the best Michelin star experience I had with my three beautiful girl friends on our girls trip to Ibiza on 14 June. The entire team of la Gaia is super friendly specifically ( Pedro, Ignacio, Ullass, Marta including others). The food is next level, we did the Horitzó tasting menu and excellent flavour profiles, synchronization, and taste is chefs kiss.(comida deliciosa como un beso) Amazing is too small of a word to describe. The ambience is calm and friendly. We were mind blown with the exceptional hospitality, it made us relax and feel at home. I highly recommend this place and would definitely plan another trip to Ibiza to come to la Gaia. These guys deserve 3 Michelin star. Keep up the good spirit. Thank you for making it so special for us

I recommend it. La Gaia by chef Oscar Molina is undeniably worth its Michelin star. The service is very good, but what I liked the most was the menu and the wine pairing. I'm not a very huge fan of white wines but the pairing was so good I couldn't believe it, they really know their wines. The menu was extremely well designed and the flavors were in such a divine order. Not to mention that the chef gave us the opportunity to make a small tour at the end so we got to see where the "magic" happens. The atmosphere is quiet totally relaxing and the other customers feel it too because although the restaurant was full at some point everyone was keeping it down although their conversation was going. I definitely recommend it. It's a must for Ibiza.
