Restaurant
Café Matisse, a Bahamian-style Italian restaurant, is housed in a 19th-century colonial mansion behind Parliament Square. The interior boasts French decor and walls adorned with prints of the eponymous artist. The menu offers modern dishes like veal Calamarata pasta, rack of lamb with mint crust, and mahi-mahi with heirloom vegetables.
The staff were super kind and welcoming. They brought over a second round of appetizers (which were delectable). Everything tasted amazing, especially the ravioli and octopus. The ravioli was super soft and tender, you could taste the love put into cooking it. The octopus was up there too! Don’t even get me started on dessert. The panna cotta and crème brûlée were mouth watering. It was delicious. Came out to around $400 for 5 people. Definitely a change in taste compared to some of the other meals around here.

Very cozy place. There are not a lot of places like that in Nassau. But this one is treasure. Atmosphere is esthetic, food is delicious. Tried both soups, and meat, and pasta, and appetizers. We were group of 12 people. Everybody loved this place. Enjoyed our staying outside. Quiet and cozy, like sitting in the Italian backyard.

Excellent! What a fantastic dining experience the restaurant is very charming and well appointed (the air conditioning a bonus on a warm day). The outdoor seating looks great and leaves you wanting to return for the outdoor experience as well in cooler weather. The table service was beyond compare and the attention to detail with a refined table etiquette elevated the experience in preparation for the superb cuisine. The food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and the portions perfect. We will most definitely be back. We highly recommend this restaurant experience.

Lovely restaurant in downtown Nassau, right next to the Supreme Court. The interior is beautiful and lively. The outdoor seating area also looked pleasant. Food was delicious. And all the servers were very attentive. Would highly recommend.

I loved the atmosphere of this cozy and chic little spot. It was recommended to us and we were glad to have gone. There isn't tons of parking but once inside the tables and layout are nice, even the bathrooms are well done. We had the seafood fantasia salad and the curry shrimp and they were both quite good. I loved the steps of focaccia and the tomato bruschetta they offered as complimentary appetizers. Our waiter was perfect, really very good and I wish I'd known his name but it looked as if all of the waiters there were equally good. Would definitely recommend it.

Loved this little piece of sophistication next to the Supreme Court. We had lobster ravioli and a seafood pasta, both excellent. Even the complimentary bruschetta was yummy.

Atmosphere and food is good. Service is quick. Walking from downtown, have vegan options too

5/5 service: Attentive staff who were so friendly. The owner actually came around to talk to everyone which was such a nice gesture. 5/5 food: The steak and lobster linguine were delicious and so filling. The prosciutto with melon was different but the right balance. The mango cheesecake was so fresh and delicious. Presentation and quality was on point. We walked in at 6pm on a Tuesday with no reservations and they had a spot.

Restaurant
Graycliff Restaurant, located in the renowned Graycliff Hotel, is a celebrated dining destination that has attracted the likes of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. One of its most notable features is the award-winning wine cellar, boasting an impressive collection of 275,000 bottles from 20 different countries. The restaurant offers a sophisticated ambiance with live music and hand-rolled cigars in the lounge before guests move to the garden patio for an exquisite dining experience paired with an extensive selection of wines.
The restaurant is definitely a special occasion restaurant. It’s classic old world charm with excellent service. We had so many people tending to us that I couldn’t keep track, but Lock-something (I forgot his name) and the bus boy (his name starts with a “C”) stood out! We ordered the following: Seafood medley in bechamel sauce Cheese and truffle purses with butter, sage and truffle oil 10 oz grilled filet of antibiotic free prime beef, red wine reduction and Bernaise sauce Slow oven roasted crisp duck in a Bahamian citrus sauce escoffier Mashed potatoes Creamed spinach Guava souffle Graycliff Bahamian bread pudding with vanilla gelato I really enjoyed the seafood medley appetizer and my husband enjoyed his cheese purses. Originally my steak was overdone but it was quickly rectified by the waiter who’s name starts with “Lock”. He was so gracious about the whole thing, which I really appreciated. The duck was excellent. The skin was nice and crispy and the meat was tender! The mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach were also good. The guava souffle was delicious but I wouldn’t order the bread pudding again. It had too many spices for my taste. Overall it was a good meal with excellent service, especially by Lock-whatever his name is. There’s is a $4 charge for sharing appetizers and a $10 charge for sharing an entree. If you don’t eat a lot, it might be worth it. I heard that their wine cellar is outstanding but we only had sparkling water and two diet Cokes. They had an interesting looking mocktail which I would have ordered if I had seen it before I ordered my second Coke. There’s no parking so you have to valet for $10. Remember to bring extra cash for that plus the tip.

I had an extremely great time here at this restaurant. I got to sing songs with the piano man and have the most awesome time! I gotta say the food was really good, but the prices are insanely expensive! But you get what you pay for! I would highly suggest this place!
Joe V — Google review
The great cliff restaurant has a really cool atmosphere. It’s really a fun place to eat. The service and food were top-notch. It was within an easy walking distance of the port and downtown. It’s on a really cool street with fun umbrellas hanging from the road. This place is definitely worth going to. The bathrooms were very nice as well.

I didn't get much to eat here, but what I did have was wonderful and all the food I saw at my table looked great, as well as at the other tables. They do have gluten free bread, but it's just standard sandwich bread. The cocktails are very good, they apparently have their own coffee. The interior and exterior are gorgeous. There is even live music, they have a person playing the piano. Will say that this is a smoking establishment and they even have some one who will roll. Another, highlight for me was the plating, they had such beautiful plates.
Natalia C — Google review
High end, elegant restaurant in a beautiful setting. We started with Conch Chowder, which was good, but not better than any other we had on the island. Tuna tartar was very good, but again, not better than any other. We shared a snapper filet, which was delicious in a somewhat creamy sauce that did not inundate the dish. Caesar salad was disappointing; a little on the small side and typical of the Caesar in a nicer restaurant. Food was all good, but not transcendent. Service was excellent and the waitstaff attentive. Very much a special occasion place. A little bit of sticker shock from the prices; there wasn’t an aperitif we had that was less than $20. The entire dinner bill for 3 was $380, inclusive of tax and tip.

A unique experience for a trip to Nassau. I decided to book the afternoon tea. What a lovely way to enjoy the surroundings. Attentive service. A nice presentation of the food for the tea. Beautiful decor to enjoy yourself and take a break from the heat.
Deanna C — Google review
I don’t write reviews often but I couldn’t let this place get away with this one. This place was disappointing, the food was okay but the prices were insulting. 12 dollars for a cheap plastic bottle of water. 14 dollars for 5 pieces of asparagus that were barely cooked. The list goes on for the outrageous prices. I have no issue paying for what I’m gettin but… The environment is subpar, it’s dusty and old, and not in the charming way. In the let’s buy the cheapest table cloth from the goodwill kind of way. The flowers were picked from the back patio and listen yes does this sound snobbish? 100% but $400 for two people, in a cheaply, poor maintained, mediocre steaks, horrible drinks kinda place is absolutely atrocious and I feel robbed. The owners are very obviously cheap and greedy because to feel comfortable charging such asinine prices, you have to be pretty crappy people. Oh and you’re only allowed two pieces of bread… like are you kidding? To be making the kinda of money these people are making and you’re going to ration the bread?! … cmon. Do better.
Ivis G — Google review
This is a unique place in Nassau. The restaurant itself is located in a historic building, it also had live piano which was a very nice touch. The host was a bit judgmental in the way he looked and spoke, granted I was dressed somewhat casual, it is bahamas after all, but the rest of the stuff was very friendly. Duck was excellent, wine was excellent, they are famous for their collection. For desert I got guava souffle and that was a highlight! It is a big desert so definitely share it. Garden are looked very romantic too. Also they have a very good lunch menu but had a short trip and didn't get a chance to try it.

Distillery
Food & Drink
John Watling's Distillery, located at the 1789 Buena Vista Estate in historic downtown Nassau, is a must-visit destination for rum enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The distillery offers complimentary tours where visitors can learn about the estate's rich history and its role in Nassau rum production. Guests can also sample some of the finest rums and spirits infused with Bahamian flavors during signature tastings at the Red Turtle Tavern.
Wonderful stop on our Bahame day tour. The tour was brief, but informative. The distillery was nice, but the piña colada was exceptional! We went back for seconds, lol
Julian R — Google review
The John Watling's Distillery is a beautiful, historic property that’s now home to a rum distillery, coffeehouse, and small eatery for visitors. Stopped here as part of a van tour and unfortunately, the “tour” was short and rushed, with a guide who seemed disinterested (hence losing a star). Still, the colonial-era setting is lovely, and Bond fans will enjoy knowing Casino Royale filmed several key scenes here. Ends at the gift shop, of course. Recommended for a stop for rum, some island history, or 007 fans.
M — Google review
It's a beautiful building, outside and inside. Many people come for tour, drink, and food. We couldn't get any bottle as we need to check-in, it doesn't count as duty-free. Free to walk in checking stuffs out, only pay if you want other experience.
Ni N — Google review
Loved this place! Free tour and tour guide was awesome, super chill, informative and concise and the ambience and staff were super friendly and answered all our questions! Worth the stop since they don’t export, and it was such a historically rich place!
Amy C — Google review
This is a beautiful and historic estate. There is a lot of history behind this building. The tour is free. The distillery was very interesting but there isn't a lot of information provided on the distillery process itself. They provide a sample of puna colada which was very refreshing. There is an onsite store to purchase their products as well as to purchase food and enjoy a meal. Please note that walking to this location from downtown may lead you through neighborhoods that are not safe so be careful. The run and vodka all seemed well made.
Joseph S — Google review
Nice small distillery. Went for the store but got a sample of pina colada to try at the entrance. Ended with a bottle of rhum, still need to try it! And we got a small reduction for buying 2 bottles.

Great tour and perfect place to escape afternoon heat. Coffee shop is first class and pina colada is among the best

I visited here expecting a good experience, but left disappointed due to their dishonest billing practice. Please look at my photo of the menu. It clearly states at the top left: "10% Gratuity and 10% VAT included in all prices." However, when I paid, the staff charged me extra taxes on top of the menu price. When I pointed this out, they insisted on the extra charge. This is misleading and unfair to customers. The drinks might be fine, but be careful when you pay. Don't trust the prices written on the menu.

Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Nobu, the internationally renowned restaurant chain by chef Nobu Matsuhisa, has established its presence in major cities worldwide. The Atlantis location mirrors the elegance and modern design of its counterparts, offering a diverse menu featuring sushi, sashimi, steaks, tempura, and various Japanese dishes. In Nassau at Atlantis Bahamas, Nobu provides an ultra-luxe dining experience with a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian influences.
This was our third time at Nobu and we can’t wait to be back. All of our future Atlantis visits will definitely have a dinner at Nobu on our itinerary. We love the entire experience. Food is top notch, service is great and ambience is amazing!! Make sure you have reservations well ahead of time. 100% recommended and worth it!!

If you are visiting Nassau, Bahamas, Nobu is a must if you enjoy delicious food in a beautiful atmosphere. Our waiter Hearn gave us suggestions and answered all of our questions about the different types of food being offered. The Crispy Rice with Tuna Tartar is amazing, as are the wonderfully fresh scallops. Bevan, the restaurant director stopped by our table to say hello and wish us a happy anniversary. They made our 25th even more special. These incredible chocolate treasures with ice cream were the perfect ending. Thank you for the wonderful experience on such an important day for us.

Our experience at Nobu in Atlantis was absolutely outstanding. The food and atmosphere were everything you’d expect from a world-class restaurant, but what really made the night unforgettable was the staff. The team was professional, fun, and brought an energy that made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Brandon the bartender and Loyd the bar back truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. These gentlemen didn’t just do their jobs, they made us feel like old friends, turning an already great evening into something exceptional. Their attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and great sense of humor made it all the more worthwhile. Highly recommend stopping by Nobu at Atlantis - and if you get the chance, grab a seat at the bar with Brandon and Loyd. You’ll be glad you did and won't regret it!

This was a great experience. I was able to snag a last minute reservation. The service was attentive and the menu has a wide variety of items to choose from. We had mostly small bites and they were all amazing. The blue fin nigiri was so good. We loved the mini tacos, I had the salmon and my husband got the waygu beef. So fortunate to have the opportunity to experience this restaurant after watching the chef for years.

The food was outstanding. The best California Roll that we've ever had! The beef and chicken skewers were tender and seasoned perfectly. The cheesecake was light and creamy with a soft cake paired perfectly with the mango sorbet. The place was very busy but the waitstaff provided excellent service.

Brandon The bartender was amazing ! I have dined in almost every restaurant in Nassau and he is by far the best! The waiter Ian was super friendly and very accommodating providing great recommendations. The food was ten stars. I can't wait to return.

The food and service at Nobu were exceptional. I will most definitely recommend to family and friends, can’t wait to visit again. Everything I ordered was delicious.

My eight-year-old son is rarely impressed but he liked Nobu in the Bahamas. He liked it so much that we already have a reservation for the NYC location. The Japanese waguy, tuna tataki, and salmon avocado rolls were excellent. We ordered a lot of different things so we can try and everything was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. The restaurant is kid friendly. Great experience.

Restaurant
Located on Cable Beach, Meze Grill is a sophisticated Mediterranean restaurant offering a menu that combines seafood and meats in a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. The chic dining space features elegant decor with soft lighting, creating an intimate ambiance. The menu includes classic Mediterranean dishes such as fresh seafood, prime meats, imported pasta, and organic salads and vegetables. Guests can also enjoy a selection of fine wines from around the world, craft beers, and handcrafted cocktails.
This is a wonderful place for adults while visiting Nassau. I have never tasted food like this - a must go, if you're not afraid to go a little in island. Has a full bar as well with many craft cocktails.

Almost everything was packed with flavor, though the sushi was slightly soggy—perhaps due to the flame. The highlight of the meal was the spicy shrimp with pita, which was exceptional. The spreads were delicious, and the ambiance added to the overall experience.

The food was very good — we especially enjoyed the chicken kebabs and snapper. The cocktails were great too. It was a quiet, relaxed setting, and we casually played cards while we ate. A really nice, chill experience overall

I’ve known the Skandiliaris family for over 30 years. While visiting on my most recent trip we decided to have dinner at Meze Grill. WOW is the best and only word to describe our experience. Lisette, our server, was top shelf and made us feel most welcome. The food, service and vibe was absolutely spot on…and it was a Monday!! If you’re in Nassau and love Mediterranean food you have to stop in. Food, cocktails and hospitality were amazing!

Outstanding experience, the Bahama way! Excellent from start to finish! Meal was paced perfectly, party of 8. Started as a party of 6 and we added two to the party. Every course was excellent. Every course and beverages were excellent! We will be back year after year.

We walked-in that place with no reservation the night we got to Nassau, they offered us seats at the bar which we gladly took; Thanks for the accommodation! The food was 10/10, service was great, friendly staff. It was quite cold in the restaurant so make sure you dress accordingly. The ambiance was quiet. Overall 8/10 experience!

Lizette is so sweet and love the service she provided! We had the tomahawk and it was cooked to perfection! Special night for our family

Celebrated my wife's birthday, and the food and service were great! Our server Roland was attentive and helpful with any questions about the menu. Just know going in that you will be spending some money with the VAT tax on top of the liquor and food bill. If you want a nice evening with your spouse, definitely give this place a try.
