Kusadasi

Kuşadası is a beach resort town on Turkey’s western Aegean coast. A jumping-off point for visiting the classical ruins at nearby Ephesus (or Efes), it’s also a major cruise ship destination. Its seafront promenade, marina, and harbor are lined with hotels and restaurants. Just offshore on Pigeon Island is a walled Byzantine castle that once guarded the town, connected to the mainland via causeway.

Beaches
Ladies Beach, also known as Kadinlar Denizi, is a well-known and lively beach in Kusadasi. Initially reserved for women during the Ottoman period, it now welcomes everyone. The beach offers a vibrant atmosphere with its palm-lined promenade featuring shops, bars, cafes, and hotels that create a resort-like feel.
Awesome beach with lots of cool restaurants, places to rent cabana and chairs, and even a 40 foot platform dive. One of our Highlights was hanging out here.
Sam F — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by Ladies Beach - the water was so clear and clean. It got very busy throughout the afternoon but when we arrived at 10.30 there were plenty of sun beds available - all 300tl each and parasols are free. I was happy to see lots of people dispose of their rubbish although there are a lot of cigarette butts all over the sand.
Natalie M — Google review
The best beach in Kusadasi There are a lot of free umbrellas and beach beds, but as demand is quite high, you should come early to get them. A lot of shops and cafes are nearby, as well as Migros store. Water is clean, the sand is being cleaned daily, views are quite pleasant. Really nice place, however could be crowded in summer peak times. But is early September it was quite good and not crowded
Anton R — Google review
The sea is shallow and crystal-clear. Unlike other touristic places, businesses with a sea view don't have exaggerated prices. There are also regular shops in the promenade so that u can easily get a drink without having to leave the seaside. We spent a pleasant afternoon swimming here. I recommend it.
Brcn — Google review
A wonderful beach with soft white sand and crystal-clear water — truly one of the most beautiful spots in Kuşadası. However, it’s sad to see that some visitors leave trash and throw cigarette butts around. When you have such a stunning natural place, it’s everyone’s responsibility to keep it clean and take care of it. Despite that, the beach itself is amazing - perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the view.
Alexander G — Google review
One of the best beachs! I love Kusadisai! It's crowded so if you're looking for a quiet beach, this is not the one, but the water and beach are beautiful! You can get there early and snag a umbrella already set up on the beach, or rent one for £100 at one of the shops on the boardwalk.
Teah A — Google review
Nice beach close to the city centre. Sunbeds available for a fee, but also free areas in the beach. Several restaurants and bars on the street above the beach.
Jonas H — Google review
The beach was ok. The umbrella rentals were reasonable at €15 for two chairs and an umbrella. The ocean water however was full of debris from trees or plants, not sure which. However, we walked a little further to the right and the water seemed a bit clearer, not too bad. The waves were very strong so we had to keep a close eye on the kids. The vendors on the beach were very reasonable, I bought cotton candy and a candy apple at €2 each. Overall, not too bad of an experience at lady beach. The cab charged us €20 each way from the cruise Port.

Bel-KOOP. Pigeon Island Homes is situated in Kusadasi, a city with a rich history dating back to 3,000BC and known for its bustling marina and the picturesque Guvercin Adasi (Pigeon Island) with its ancient fortress. The complex offers affordable apartments in a central location, providing a neighborly environment. While the location is praised for its beauty, there are concerns about the construction quality and calls for urban transformation.

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Nestled within the picturesque Pigeon Island, Kusadasi Castle is a must-visit destination. Connected to the city center by a causeway, this small island offers a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. The castle, also known as the Pirate Castle, dates back to the 14th or 15th century and was constructed during the Ottoman era by Admiral Barbarossa. It served as a defense against pirates in the past.
The castle walls were built by İlyas Agha while the citadel's construction was commissioned by the Ottoman admiral Hayreddin Barbarossa. The castle walls 3 m (9.8 ft) in height. There's an entrance fee. Awesome photo opportunities.
Vadim S — Google review
The castle is small but well preserved. Inside of the castle is like a park. There is nothing special in the castle. There is a small museum It’s so small but the bone of fin whale is interesting. Is it worth to visit by paying 8€? I’m not sure. But not that bad…relatively cheap price lol
Mothusi — Google review
*Possible scam - check your receipt Paid by card and was overcharged...got a refund for the difference. Otherwise did not object to the 10 euros as this is a historic landmark, a peaceful oasis and I connected possitively with the random collection in the tiny museum.
Vince H — Google review
Beautiful island castle/fortress with amazing views of the sea. The museum is ok but you can enter the grounds without paying for the museum. Sit and relax while listening to the birds and watching the boats. Very few people to contend with.
Josh C — Google review
Nice walk from the cruise port (10 min), our captain said it was free to visit. Also research on the web said free, but seems like that since this month (aug 2025) it is a 10 euro entrance fee. Huge difference against locals. Even the toilet is 1 euro against 20TL (,40 euro).
James T — Google review
The entry ticket is 10€ per person, the view inside is amazing and very interesting things all around
Rocío P — Google review
Nice museum inside of the castle. It goes through the various time periods. 10€ for visitors.
John A — Google review
Nothing really to see but sooner gardens, a nice view and a few relics battered on fishing. Not worth the €10. As with everything there it's overpriced for tourists

Discover the ancient city of Priene, a significant site in ancient times due to its Panionium, the central meeting place and sanctuary of the Ionian Confederacy. Explore its well-preserved ruins including the theater, temple of Athena, agora, Bouleterion, and temenos of Zeus Olympus. Nearby Miletus was a prosperous port city with historical significance. Priene showcases Hellenistic art and architecture with remnants like columns from the Temple of Athena and a well-preserved theater.
One of the important historical sights
Guide S — Google review
This was truly a wonderful site. Lacking both the stature and awe of Ephesus, Priene is a breath of fresh air which allows you to wander quietly and envision a settlement as was. It's an active dig site with little to keep you away from actually seeing the work being done. Great views, an excellent odeum and calm stateliness await in the shade of the trees.

Marina

Bazar
Setur Kusadasi Marina is a popular destination located on the stunning Aegean Coast of Turkey, attracting travelers with its rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes. The marina offers excellent facilities for boaters and boasts many anchorage spots both north and south of the area. With calm waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling, visitors can observe a range of marine life while enjoying sea temperatures reaching up to 82F (28C) during the summer.
The marina itself is very beautiful. Would recommend 'The angel of the Sea' private boat trip. Great family who run it. The food court at the Marina has a good variety and value for money. Kahve dünyası and Ramiz köfte are my favourite places to visit. Staff and security at the Marina always helpful and friendly. Beautiful views

Its nice and well run but docking charges are so expensive, its cheaper to dock in london bridge marina, overall ok but no facilities for the price you pay. Free parking and being right in d middle of the city is nice
Elvis K — Google review
The marina is now a construction site. No restaurants, no meeting places, no bbq. The staff are wonderful, helpful and thoughtful. The one bathroom and self help laundry are lovely but if you're not on Y2 dock or the outside dock for large boats, its a very long walk. Dont leave it to the last minute. There is a shuttle if you are lucky. The cost to stay there is more expensive than before. We are lucky to be a part of the Setur marina exchange so its free for now.

Planet Yucca Live is a delightful gem in Kusadasi that promises to keep you coming back for more. Nestled near the bustling promenade and just a stone's throw from the waterfront, this vibrant spot boasts a spacious garden where you can enjoy your meal while soaking up the lively atmosphere. The menu is an enticing mix of succulent steaks, flavorful Chinese noodles, aromatic curries, and various Mediterranean dishes that cater to all palates.
Just stopped in for a drink on the way back to our hotel. Excellent vibe, wonderful live music, staff friendly and attentive. Husband also had breakfast here previously and really enjoyed it. We will be back.

We went there August and after walking around the heat in Kusadasi bazaar, we got hungry. We saw this place that looked clean and better organized than others. We were welcomed and ordered. A mixed grill plate and one Kebab plate for 22-23€ each. The plates were large but the food in them were too little and for this price you could eat somewhere else much more. Service was good and friendly. Prices for the amount of food were too high. Not good.

Casablanca Restaurant is a popular dining spot located in Kusadasi, Turkey, offering a delightful mix of international, Turkish, and Mediterranean cuisines. The menu caters to various dietary preferences and includes traditional Turkish dishes like kebabs and mezes alongside Mediterranean specialties. It's known for its lively atmosphere and is a top choice for those seeking both entertainment and great food.
We were a group of 6 people and we all had an extremely pleasurable evening last night at this family run restaurant. The service and staff were exceptional. We were treated as though we were regular customers and made to feel very welcome. The food was also great and the best meals we've had so far on our Turkey tour.
Debbie C — Google review
I revisited this restaurant after several years, which has been relocated into a street diagonally opposite where it used to be following my return to Kuşadası on vacation. A group of us were met by Kim the owner and seated inside the restaurant, which also has outdoor tables and chairs to suit all preferences. The waiters took our drinks orders then we were given menus to select our evening meals. I ordered "Casablanca Chicken" with a white creamy sauce and a glass of red wine which arrived promptly before the main courses were served. My friend opposite ordered pepper steak and when the group's orders had all been taken we settled down to chat and enjoy our drinks. My wine was served at just the right temperature, not chilled or warm and the draft beer ordered by several in the group looked spot on too. My meal arrived and I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size, as were others in the group. It was delicious. Certainly the best meal I've had in a restaurant, not just in Türkiye, but in Bulgaria and Spain where I've visited quite recently. My friend across from me also said it was the best steak she'd eaten in ages. My chicken was delicious, complimented by a rich creamy sauce, home cooked French fries, rice, creamy mashed potatoes, mushrooms and salad vegetables. As mentioned previously the portion size was extremely generous and I was completely full when I'd finished eating. After a while and a refill of my wine glass by the attentive waiters, a complementary desert arrived which proved the perfect denouement for the evening meal. Everyone was commenting on the quality and size of their meals; everyone was full and extremely satisfied. I've only a couple of days left of my trip, but will be returning to Casablanca for another culinary treat before I return home.

Good shrimp both as a starter and as a main course in curry, but I don’t recommend the pizza. The dishes were served quickly. The place is quite loud, so if you’re looking to eat in peace, this might not be the right spot.”

We had such a lovely time we went back again and we were all inclusive at our own hotel. The food is absolutely delicious, exceptional value and the atmosphere is brilliant. It’s a family run restaurant and we first met their amazing son Harry. He made us so welcome, actually looked after us our whole holiday. Told us where the best shopping was, sent a taxi to collect us and took us home after not just our meal but once we’d finished shopping. Such a polite kind young man. His Mum and Dad were so welcoming too it was like visiting old friends. I really can’t recommend this place enough.
Sally P — Google review
Ok so in the Hotel a smooth talking handsome lad called Harry comes around basically saying if you fancy a change from the all inclusive give his restaurant a try called Casablanca they will send transport to pick you up and drop you back when your done so we fell for his buttery smooth tones and booked it for the night it was Newcastle V Liverpool they show live premiership football, He sent a car for us at 6pm so we had a couple of hours to do some shopping at the real fakes shops and then back to our table at 8pm, We got the garlic bread & Garlic Mushrooms as starters which where both out pretty quickly and very tasty we all went for the steaks the sirloin which I was told was perfect didn't get a pic wasnt quick enough 😂 and I went for the T-bone which as you can see was huge but perfectly cooked and tasty after that we where offered a free slice of cheese cake, fudge cake or ice cream, My son wanted to try a Turkish tea so we asked Harry if it's strong he said it wasn't and offered it to try on the house very kind also the staff are great they do magic tricks and play games with the kids take photos and make you feel very relaxed, Then was onto the Football was a good mix of Newcastle & Liverpool fans which gave it a nice little vibe and turned out to be a entertaining game plenty of goals and action shame about the result Liverpool winning 3-2 in dying seconds to which I threatened Harry with a 1* Review 😂 We where then shown to out transport back to the hotel...Definitely Give Casablanca a try you won't be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of meeting the owners son Harry at our hotel, were he told us all about the family restaurant, we arranged to visit for the man utd v man City match. Harry arranged for us to be picked up from our hotel and dropped at the restaurant, he also arranges transport home if required. The food is exceptional, portions are huge. We didn't have to wait too long after placing our order and definitely weren't disappointed. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is busy with a fantastic atmosphere, so much so we arrange a 2nd visit on our last night. A big thank you to Harry, who came to our hotel everyday and always had a chat with us, he's so pleasant and helpful and such a joy to talk to. If you don't pay this restaurant a visit whilst in Kusadasi you are missing out. Thanks guys for being a part of our fantastic holiday 😊 sending much love to Harry. First, the quality of the food and its value for money at this restaurant are just average. I came here based on the hotel's recommendation, but I was somewhat disappointed. Second, as we were about to leave, a waiter who had not served me at all repeatedly emphasized that the price did not include a tip, implying that I should give him one. However, since I didn’t have any cash on me, I didn’t tip him. He even opened his wallet in front of me and asked again, which I found very rude.

My wife and I are came here during our cruise and it was the most expensive meal we've had since our 7 day voyage. Although the food was good, I felt pressured to buy fish/shrimp without knowing the price. ASK THE PRICE first. Waiter also asked me to tip but after $107 USD, we didn't.

We've come for kebabs, alas, only a half of our dishes was good: the beef kebabs proper were oversalty burnt and made of some dry leftovers (?). The place itself is quite messy and noisy: all TVs were turned on to their extreme, probably, to attract passers by, homeless cats and dirty dogs roam between tables, there is no toilet paper in the restroom

Had a great lunch experience at Golden Boys. We wanted something not right in the centre as it was a little chaotic with 4 cruise ships docked. We were warmly welcomed and provided with recommendations. The service and food was great and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his mixed kebab plate. The strawberry daiquiri was refreshing after working up a sweat shopping in the bazaar. Go and see Sebasdya who even gave us recommendations for our visit to Istanbul, you won’t be disappointed.

Great restaurant, food was top top notch, had fillet steak as good as an Irish fillet and that's near impossible to do. Wife had prawns and was amazing. Big portions , chips homemade. I highly recommend this restaurant! We decided to go in despite the heavy crowd – and we definitely don’t regret it. We were invited upstairs, where the owner's son immediately turned on some music and asked what we’d like to drink. The atmosphere was very friendly, and the brothers running the place were super nice. Despite being busy, the food arrived in about 15 minutes – impressively fast! The chicken was a bit dry, but the lamb was absolutely amazing – 110% worth recommending! If I'm ever in the area again, I’ll definitely come back. Portions were generous and very filling

Craving delicious food and friendly service? 4 Brothers is a must-try! Their flavorful dishes are very delicious but prices are bit on higher side, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I highly recommend it!" They accept dollars, euros and cards as well but the coversion to dollar and euros are again on higher side.

It's a good place but a bit over-praised. The food is delicious, but we really missed the sauces! On request we got ketchup and mayonnaise, not quite what we expected :-) The service was great until we sat down, from then on we were ignored and had to stand up to get anything. There is room for improvement. Don’t rest on your laurels!
