It was incredible experience. Our tour guide was amazing. First you get free welcome drink - you have 3 options from Jameson (Jameson with lime and ginger is amazing). Then you go to first room, it’s about history of Jameson. Second room is about how to make Jameson and on third you learn about differences, how to smell and taste different Jamesons. With this guide, it was really amazing and I could stay longer than 45 minutes.
My wife and I took this tour on a Monday morning a few hours before our flight home and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide was very animated and obviously loved his job! Great tour through history all the way to current time. Definitely recommend this tour for any whiskey aficionados or anyone with just a taste for Jameson.
I paid about $26 for the Jameson Distillery tour and it was worth every penny. They start with a really cool 3D projector story about the history and how Jameson is made, then you move into a tasting room where you try four different Jamesons and learn how to properly smell and taste whiskey. It truly feels like a world-class experience. The premium ones were noticeably smoother (whiskey by itself definitely grows hair on your chest 😂), but it was fun, informative, and delicious. After the tasting, you get a drink included — they already have a bar set up with several cocktail options, and if you want another drink afterward you can buy more. The tour guide was incredible — funny, knowledgeable, and made it feel like he actually believed every part of the history. It was so good I found myself thinking, “Do y’all hire? I could work here too.” The staff overall was extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll even hold your bags if you’re coming straight from the airport like I was. There’s merchandise at the end if you want to shop, and the whole experience is just a lot of fun from start to finish. I would 100% come back and I’d tell anyone visiting Dublin to add this to their trip.
What an unforgettable experience at the Jameson Distillery! We opted for the Secret Whiskey Package and savored every moment. The tour was a delightful blend of history, craftsmanship, and fun, with fascinating insights into the company’s founder and the art of whiskey making. The highlight? Learning the skills of whiskey tasting, followed by a truly delicious sampling experience. Despite the bustling crowd of fellow travelers, the staff made us feel so special and welcome. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return!
Had a fantastic tasting tour on my second visit to this iconic Irish distillery. The guide’s deep knowledge and entertaining presentation made the experience memorable. It’s no wonder Jameson remains one of the world’s top selling whiskeys. Highly recommended!
Exactly everything you'd expect from a distillery tour. Great tour guide, samples of the whisky, and the best ambiance. All the employees were stellar and very nice to chat with. You can also purchase exclusive bottles you can't get anywhere else in the world.
This is one of the best distillery tour I’ve ever done! I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin. Our tour guide was really informative and had a great demote of knowledge about the history of Jameson’s. I’m not usually a Whiskey drinker but after trying a Jamesons, Ginger Ale and Lime in the bar I am converted.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jamison Distillery. I went with my husband and my daughter. It was very informative and quite interesting. There were several experiences during the tour. We tasted whiskeys that we hadn't tried before. Our new favorite one is Black Barrel. We've bought a bottle now that we're back home and have shared it with a neighbor. He is now a fan! I recommend going on this tour. It's fun, educational, and it even has a cute little shop inside.

What an amazing place, after an incredible hike. The location is stunning, the staff were very friendly and provided great service (and they both were beautiful 😍), and the food was perfect! The best crispy rostii I have had on my trip, and the linzertorte was superb!!
Newly renovated hut. Busy at weekends, but everything very well organised and they cope very well with the numbers. Dorm rooms spacious enough and not huge in terms of number of people per room. 2 showers downstairs, cost 5chf/person. A few interesting hiking options for the way out, Arpelistock highly recommended. T4 but requires no special equipment, just a good head for heights and a willingness to scramble a bit. Staff helpful.
Beautiful place, we had great trip with kids, we also enjoyed climbing. Highly recommended.
There are more than 150 swiss huts from the Alpine Club, Gelten Hut is a special one. It is the acess point of the Rottal plateau surrounded by waterfalls where you can see herds of yacks. It almost feels like beeing in the Zanskar Valley in India
Perfectly located cabane with a supergardienne making sure everyone feel at home. Food is excellent and place is very clean. Merci pour le fondue Susanne. Will be back in the summer. Carl Otto
A wonderful hike from Lauenensee to Geltenhutte passing through waterfalls, landscapes. Nice place to stay in the alpine region.
100% recommendation. Very nice SAC hut, friendly staff. Good tours around.
Nothing beats a cool alcohol free beer/panache pit stop when hiking.

Gstaad my love❤️ such an incredible beautiful landscape 🗻⛑️ ⛷️
Great place to get some information about the region and what you can do there. They recommended us a great place for bike rentals and told us about the local trails. We had a great time there. We also picked up our travellers WiFi there, all went fast and smooth.
Nice and helpful place.
This tourist information center has friendly staff and they provide a list of bollywood shooting locations with scenes or songs explained in the location. This is very helpful and a thoughtful effort from the people there to promote tourism
They have a lot of hiking paths map and other tourist information.

I have been fortunate to stay at the Palace multiple times over the past seven years, and each visit somehow manages to surpass the last. From the moment you arrive, the hotel team greets you with such genuine warmth that you instantly feel at home. Their attention to detail and kindness truly set the tone for a memorable stay. The rooms are always immaculate and beautifully decorated. I especially appreciate the spacious lounge, the comfortable bed, and the wonderful bathroom, everything I need to unwind whilst away from home. One of the standout features for me is the food. It is consistently exceptional, with a wide variety of beautifully prepared dishes. As someone with coeliac disease, I am particularly grateful for how well the menu accommodates my gluten-free requirements. I have never had to worry about what I can eat - the staff are knowledgeable and always go out of their way to ensure I feel safe and well taken care of. The Palace has truly become a home away from home for me, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Whether it is your first visit or your tenth, you can always expect exceptional service, incredible comfort, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.
My two-week accommodation was a pleasant and rejuvenating experience, with spectacular views. The meals were exquisitely crafted to suit the palate. I extend my gratitude and warm regards.
Sometimes, you need the best of everything and you can find it right here in this gorgeous castle. Every amenity you could ask for, and they're all superb. Views everywhere. Excellent, inventive cuisine and service to match. Others here have called it the best hotel in the world, and if Gstaad Palace isn't it, then what is?
Memorable place to stay at. Service and staff is over the top nice. They spoil you to the max. A beautiful postcard like place I never forget. Picturesque and serene. Would return a 100 times. Love, love, love!!!
Outstanding stay! The customer service was truly 5-star, everything spotless, and the food was delicious. The summer facilities were beautiful and well-maintained. Perfect venue for weddings — elegant, spacious, and full of charm. Highly recommended!
Breathtaking in both the summer and the winter. The soufflé is best on the planet. Go to the relaxation room. It’s the most underrated room in the hotel. I want to get married here.
My recent stay at the Gstaad Palace was, as always, an unforgettable experience. The junior suite I stayed in was absolutely stunning, a perfect blend of classic elegance and modern comfort, with every detail thoughtfully designed to ensure a truly relaxing stay. The cuisine here is exceptional, showcasing the remarkable talent of the experienced Chef and his entire team. The pastry chefs create exquisite desserts but also delight guests with their outstanding contributions to the breakfast offerings. The maître de salle play a crucial role in elevating the dining experience, expertly highlighting the kitchen’s artistry and ensuring every meal is a memorable occasion. The new restaurant’s layout is beautiful, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere that perfectly complements the culinary delights. During the summer, the terrace becomes an iconic spot, offering a magical ambiance that makes dining al fresco truly special. The iconic lobby bar is another highlight, where the staff consistently impress with their attentive and professional service, making every moment there feel unique. The service throughout the hotel is impeccable, transforming each stay into a personalized luxury experience at every level. Special mention to the concierge (both day and night) which satisfies all the possible needs together with the guest relations manager. Every time I return to Gstaad Palace, I feel right at home. Without a doubt, this is the best place in the world to relax, recharge, and savor life’s pleasures. I am deeply grateful to the ownership for preserving this wonderful blend of familiarity, style, discretion, and warmth, passed down through generations. Lastly, the spa is a serene sanctuary that perfectly complements the overall experience, offering a peaceful retreat to rejuvenate body and mind.
I’m absolutely in love with this place! The food is exceptional, and the service is effortlessly classy. A must-visit in Gstaad- even if you’re not staying, it’s worth coming just for dinner and drinks!

Excellent museum! Showcases daily life (~1700s) very well, in a well-preserved hundreds-year-old house. The lovely docents were so welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
A chief attraction of the Museum is the exhibition of the Schopfer cowbells. The cows wear the decorative bells at particular times of the year particularly during the annual procession known as the desalp. The event usually takes place in September when the farmers bring their cattle down from the alpine pastures. The Schopfer family owned the foundry in Saanen for several generations The collection of forged brass bells displayed in the Museum has been made available by Hannes Moor a former vet who is passionate about the history of the foundry and the Schopfer bells. According to Moor, cowbells in Switzerland date back to the 15th century. At that time, local inhabitants believed that spirits and dragons inhabited the high mountains. The clanging balls, echoing off the surrounding peaks, chased away these evil spirits and invoked divine protection.
Fun and inexpansive museum with friedly staff. If you are over 6 feet you do need to watch your head in some rooms ;-)

My favorite indoor pool to swim laps. I use the pool outside for the water jets and bubbles with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Then I treat myself to an AMAZING veggie crêpe and read. It’s a sport/spa center within beautiful design. For an additional 14 CHF you can add more spa options to your experience. There are reclining chairs inside and outside. A great place to bring the family. The kiddie pool has a fun slide and there is always a lifeguard watching over both pools. This facility is impeccably clean. Indoor tennis court also available. In a 10 min walk up along the river, you will be on the Main Street of Gstaad or at the train station. I take the bus from Les Diablerets and the 45min ride there is beautiful.
The most relaxing spot on the terrace with a fantastic view ! The service is wonderful
This is my favourite swimming pool to go to with my family. The staff is extremely friendly, the outdoor pool is heated and in winter is extraordinary. Breathtaking views from the comfy inside or outside of the pools.
Very nice indoor and exterior pools, with water at the right temperature and a fantastic view. Also a short and fun slide
It was first time for me in Staad country night concert this place is perfect had many foods and drinks outdoor and indoor.
It need some improvement, otherwise it s a nice place to be !
The spa is Gstaad’s best kept secrets! Have been visiting for many years and love it. Two saunas (one mild and one hot), steam, jacuzzi and nice chill areas. It’s fully nude and you can rent towels at the entrance for 5.- (and a small deposit). Small improvements: the outdoor pool is not hot enough and please offer shower gel and shampoo. A bit annoying to have to bring and to be cold in the (warm) pool.
Super great place, it’s public facilities, but the level is so high!! I’ve only been to pool area of this sports complex. Spa is far better than you could probably imagine, in my view it has a level of a very good hotel. The only thing to bear in mind is when to go, because when it’s full of people, it can become a little unpleasant, but if you choose to go in the morning, then you’d get a really nice experience!

Staying at The Alpina Gstaad was an absolute luxury experience from beginning to end. The hotel is stunning, seamlessly blending modern elegance with classic alpine charm. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional service, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was perfect. The views from the balcony were simply breathtaking, offering a panoramic look at the Swiss Alps in all their glory. Waking up to that scenery each morning was truly a highlight. The rooms were modern, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed, providing both comfort and sophistication. Every aspect of the hotel reflected high attention to detail, making for a truly relaxing and refined stay. Beyond the accommodations, the overall atmosphere of The Alpina Gstaad exudes exclusivity and warmth. Whether enjoying the top-tier amenities, indulging in the fantastic service, or simply taking in the serene mountain surroundings, this hotel delivers a five-star experience in every sense. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.
We went to the day spa there, for 140 CHF. The service is one of the best I encountered so far, it’s definitely more than 5 stars. The changing rooms were very luxurious and there was everything you might need there. The pools are nice especially the outside one. It was calm and relaxing. We also took a drink at the lobby, people were playing live music and that really enhanced the experience. I wish I could let a comment about the rooms but unfortunately we couldn’t afford the night price 😉
Stunning hotel with magical views. The staff are very helpful and enjoy their work. They can't do enough for you. The location is amazing, and there is a shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up in town. That can easily fit a buggy in without taking it down. The kids club is wonderful well equipped but opens late 11 and closes late 9pm 9.30- 7pm would be better hours for the children they cater to in my opinion, and Angela is very kind and caring and does a fantastic job with all ages. There is a clean and safe playground and a cinema room that can be booked out. It's a child friendly place but designed around adults' enjoyment. The spa is beautiful and the facilities are perfect for a romantic relaxing stay. The food is perfect. Every meal is delicious, especially the lobtser at the buffet bbq, and the dim sum at breakfast, which sadly I left trying till near the end of our visit. The beds are very comfortable even with a bad back and the rooms have everything you could want the slippers are the best I've ever experienced at a hotel and make you feel right at home. I would live here if I could it's that good.
This is by far the best hotel in Gstaad and quite possibly the world! Everything is beautiful, in good taste and constructed from the finest materials, not to mention the view, which is breathtaking. Can’t wait to come back!
From the moment we arrived at The Alpina Gstaad, we were treated to an experience that can only be described as flawless. This is not just a luxury hotel — it’s a masterclass in refined hospitality. The staff were absolutely incredible. Warm, professional, and intuitive — they anticipated every need before we even had to ask. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant team, every single person we interacted with was genuinely welcoming and focused on making our stay unforgettable. What truly sets The Alpina apart is the unmatched attention to detail. Every corner of the hotel reflects thoughtfulness and care, from the beautifully curated interiors to the smallest gestures — a perfectly timed refreshment, a handwritten note, or the way the staff remembered our preferences. The rooms are not only luxurious, but also incredibly cozy, with stunning views and touches that make you feel both pampered and at home. The spa is a sanctuary, the restaurants are world-class, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is serene yet sophisticated. This is one of the rare places where five stars truly mean something. The Alpina Gstaad doesn’t just meet expectations — it exceeds them at every level. We left feeling genuinely taken care of, and already can’t wait to return. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team — you’ve created something truly special.
Very pretentious place with a lot strange looking people acting in a vanity fair mode. The Italian restaurant left rather convoluted featuring, the food was not up to par for the prices charged, service guys needs also a bit more training, maybe because it just opened.
Positives: • Warm palace-level welcome and service • Ultra-luxurious yet cozy atmosphere • Six Senses spa with a children’s area (including an indoor slide) • Strong attention to personalization for children (handwritten notes, stuffed toys, etc.) • Very high-end outdoor facilities • Excellent and complete breakfast To Improve: • Japanese restaurant could be improved in quality • Car is not automatically charged
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Alpina. The place is beautiful, the service was excellent, and the hotel itself was truly lovely. However, I’d like to mention one issue we faced during check-out. Since we are a large family, the billing process was a bit confusing. The invoices were mixed up with incorrect room numbers and ski/gear rental dates. When we pointed it out, the response was somewhat dismissive, saying it wasn’t a big deal. This made the check-out process longer and more complicated than expected. Other than that, everything was great, and we truly enjoyed our time at the hotel.
