St. Anton am Arlberg is an Austrian village in the Tyrolean Alps. It's known as a gateway to the Arlberg ski region and is often called the “cradle of alpine skiing” for its role in inventing the sport. The Museum St. Anton am Arlberg chronicles local ski history in a traditional chalet. Lifts and cable cars provide access to the slopes of Valluga and Rendl. The village is also known for its lively après-ski scene.

Very nice experience. Service is top notch as well as the food. Ambience rules here! Combination of restaurant and museum is surprisingly marvelous. Thumbs up!
There was 8 of us who came for dinner and we were seated in their private dining room which really suited the group vibe. The service was very welcoming and Kathrine was a great waitress. The food was mostly good but it was on the pricier side given the quality. My friend and I shared the herb crusted saddle of lamb (great flavour and perfectly cooked lamb) and the trout with potatoes and root vegetables (the fish was cooked nicely but the flavour overall was very bland).
A really nice place to go for dinner when you are in St Anton. Personel was so friendly. Food was good. The ambiance is great as you are having dinner in a museum. Between courses you can go up with your drink and walk around. Make a reservation, otherwise it might be full.
A true gem in St Anton. Worth the short walk up the hill to eat in a traditional Austrian building. The food is excellent - highly recommend the Schnitzel! Reservations not required for lunch - we walked in twice and had plenty of choice for a table.
This is a very upscale restaurant situated in historical old house with amazing atmosphere of the 19th century. The service and food are impeccable. Our server was very friendly and accommodated all our requests, including those that were out of the menu. For instance, one of my friends asked if the chef could make a duck breast instead of the main course as an appetizer, and they did just that. Everything was very delicious, starting from the bread and butter. They do provide you with apricot oil, which I initially thought is flavored olive oil. But no, it is a special kind of apricot oil and was so delicious that we had to ask for extra. My absolute favorite was lamb, version, and duck. From their desert menu, it is an absolute must to have Kaiserschmarm, which is arguably the best in Austria, and definitely in St. Anton. The creme Brule is also insane! We were offered a free shot of schnapps. Please take the hazelnut flavor. You will thank me later. But it wasn't it, as I mentioned the restaurant is located in a historical house and the second floor operates as a museum. Usually they charge 5 euros to visit it, but after 7 pm it is free. Our server was kind enough to give us a quick overview of the history of the region and town. The museums are small and composed only by 5 rooms, but it is informative and interesting enough to visit it to learn the history of the region. Overall it is a very nice and tasty place with a beautiful view. Please make a reservation to visit it
Such pleasant owners to work with! Very accommodating! Special Austrian dinner on our last night! Everyone enjoyed their meat dishes! I’d stay clear of the vegetarian entrée- resembled texture and taste of spinach baby food. Everything else was really nice - they made our daughters birthday lovely!
Treated ourselves to Museum for our final Austrian dinner. The service was good, and the food was fantastic. We got the beef tartare to start, the venison and tafelspitz as mains, and the hot love for dessert. All were delicious, food was served quickly once we put our orders through, and the museum itself is interesting!
Beautiful setting delicious food. We really enjoyed our valentine's dinner here. Everything was tasty well cooked and presented beautify. Service was great also. The do get really full for dinner so make a reservation ahead of time. Overall amazing experience. Highly recommend.

Tom Jank was our guide over the xmas break. We had a large group of eight skiers with different skill levels. Tom did a great job quickly assessing what our group was capable of on the hill and took us on terrain that we never imagined we’d be doing in the Alps. The on piste was icy and filled with people. Tom took us far away from the crowds and into deep powder with great views. We enjoyed the experience so much we asked for him again. The trip would not have been the same with Tom guiding us.
The best day with Tom in the backcountry. A full day of touring - alone on the mountain. Not only does Tom know the area of Arlberg like his own back pocket (he grew up here), he showed us the best day. Even though it has been several weeks since the last bigger snowfall Tom found us real frosty powder.
I'm definitely not what you'd call a natural snowboarder, and after about 6 hours of lessons, one holiday on the slopes in Solden and various trips to the indoor dome, I arrived in St Anton with zero confidence. My previous instructors just did not make any real progress with me and I was quite apprehensive about what my experience with Walter would be like. I shouldn't have worried because he was fantastic and in less than 6 hours, spread over 2 days, he had me linking turns down the mountain with confidence id never had before. He is patient, calm and doesn't seem to have a "one size fits all approach" to how he teaches and I felt like I was in good hands straight away. The progress came quickly and I would absolutely recommend him to anybody wanting to have snowboarding lessons.
I cannot recommend ‘Arlberg Classic’ ski school any more highly…such a pleasure to deal with & Jeremy our guide for the morning was a true professional & passionate about his job. He went above & beyond with tips & advice for my son & I & we learned soooo much from him. My confidence soared & our technique greatly improved. I have been skiing over 30 yrs & have to say ‘Best Ski Instructor EVER!!!! Thank you sooo much …10 stars all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m a 50 year old beginner, and my 3 days with Josi were just what the doctor ordered! With a mixture of humor and sound technique he really improved my skiing to the extent that i could conquer blue runs on my own. Thanks Josi!
had a great experience with Jeremy from Alpin Skischule. It was one of my first times skiing, and I must say he did a fantastic job. He is a highly professional and extremely experienced ski instructor. We had a lot of fun, and most importantly, thanks to him, I was able to ski. I highly recommend him not only to beginners but to all skill levels. Hopefully, I’ll be back to ski together again. Thank you, Jeremy—you’re a star!
On Thursday last week, we met with powder Tom who took a group of 7 of us up on a hike up to where Valuga would normally take lots of people, but is closed at the moment so we had the mountain to ourselves. All safety precautions were taken and Tom made us feel very safe as a result. He took us down what was probably the best off-piste skiing any of us had ever done. We had an absolutely incredible day with powder-tom, who happened to also be the nicest guy! Thanks so much Tom!
Had an awesome time at my 2 x 3hr snowboard lesson with Walter. I snowboard every year but still learnt some new tricks on how I can go faster with more control. Walter is awesome with some cool stories and snowboard wisdom. Recommended for some fun and relaxed times on the slopes!

Very helpful. We wanted some information about winter walking routes around St Anton and they gave us some very good advice as well as maps and brochures and spent time going through various options in detail.
We stopped there to get maps and info. Though my German is not strong I started the conversation in German but the young lady had a badge that showed the British flag and she switched to English. She quickly became short tempered so I asked her to please not get upset with me. Her colleague told her in German to calm down. I am not sure what had happened it was not busy and I was very calm. It worked out at the end but it was an unfortunate first encounter in the beautiful village of Sankt Anton.
People working here are very nice and kind. However, the info they gave me has been mostly false. For example, they told me the bus to and from Lech would be cheaper if you buy a day ticket. This is false because a day ticket is around 7 and one way ticket is 2. Another example is that 2 gondolas the personnel told me that were open were actually closed on that day. Again, nothing wrong with the workers there. They are kind and polite people. It’s simply that they are not fed with updated information. Some problem on the management side.
Always extremely helpful and know what's happening in town. Highly recommend a visit to them even if you're familiar with town and the surrounding areas.
Very helpful. Lots of information about what to do in St Anton aside from skiing!

Last year, the price of the summer pass almost doubled, which we thought was still quite acceptable given the included discounts. This year, all benefits like one-time use of the cable car, swimming pool, and a 10% discount on bikes (a bike normally costs more than renting a car) have been canceled. Instead, you can purchase the expensive Premium Card. But that only makes sense if you use everything every day. Sorry, that's over the top and a rip-off. It's a shame, but Austria has even more beautiful valleys. It's a shame for such a great rental company. (Original) Wir kommen seit über 15 Jahren im Sommer nach St. Anton. Big mountains, good for the experience skiing .
Lovely ski resort with very nice little typical villages like Lech or Zürs. Considered as one of the bigger ski resort in Austria, it is quite disappointing to close almost 70% of the ski lifts when the wind is blowing and charging 100% full price! The ski resort does not apply high season / low season pricing making you pay for completely different ski experience. The worst is the commuting between villages, be ready to pay 5.80€ per bus ride from St Anton to Lech for a 20min ride. Of course this is NOT included in your ski pass! What a joke! 100% of the price charged, no possibilities of transferring between villages, and on top they charge you for the bus! It’s simply called a tourists cash machine!
This is one awesome mountin!

Amazing experience, friendly atmosphere, and everything taken care of till the very last detail! Guides are experienced, know the terrain very well, and even in a bad weather we managed to have great powder runs! Highly recommend them!
Amazing quality of experience! Bas prepares each trip in great detail to make sure his guests get the most out of it, while always feeling safe. It’s always a pleasure to return.
First time snowboarding and Bas really helped me out. He gave very usefull tips and helped me with my faulty techniques. After a couple of hours I was in control of my board and was able to go down the piste without having to stop. Bas is patient and takes things a step at a time. Would recommend. Edit D+7 It’s been one week of practicing with the tips Bas gave me. Now able to go go 40km/h down red pistes and slice the black piste with corners instead of “roetsjing”. Very glad with the 3 hour investment and if I come back here I will definitely take an advanced course. Thanks Bas!
One of the most relaxed and professional snowboard guides I have ever had - always finding the best tracks and tours, even in less-than-ideal conditions.
Bas is an excellent guide who gives a lot of extra information about snow safety, profile and route reading. We had an amazing weekend!
Thanks to Bas I improved my technic in only 3 days. This guy knows what he is talking about and he will teach you using some cool exercises. Next time I will definitly book again. I only started snowboarding this season, but I will do it more often in the future. He also knows a lot about the area and is specialized in guiding as well. But what else can you expect from someone who is living here for over 20 years.
Had one of the best snowboarding days of my life thanks to Bas. He was an awesome guide and managed to find decent snow even it was the last days of the season. Can't recommend enough!
Great rides with our certified guide Bas! He brings you to the border of what you think is physically and mentally possible. Safe, positive vibes, and challenging.

On our last downhill ride we stopped by for having some good food. The place was already crowded, but we managed to grab a spot at a shared desk. The service staff is super fast yet super friendly. We (two persons) had drinks, two main dishes (Vienna Schnitzel with Potato Salad instead of Pommes and Tiroler Gröstl) plus a shared dessert (quite large Kaiserschmarrn). The quality great and the prices (for St. Anton) kinda fair. We paid about 80 Euro. Recommended if you wanna have good food or simply enjoying live music while avoiding ApresSki at Moserwirt.
This restaurant offers a very pleasant dining atmosphere. The tables are nicely decorated, adding a welcoming touch to the overall experience. I tried the goulash soup and was genuinely impressed – it’s absolutely world-class, full of rich flavors and perfectly seasoned. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the food here. Another big plus: the restrooms are extremely clean, which is always a good sign of attention to detail. Definitely a place worth visiting again!
Great ski-hut food, fast and friendly service. If you are lucky and the sun is shining, then it is the perfect place to sit and enjoy your ski break.
A Cozy Alpine Gem with Delicious Fare! I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming Austrian restaurant nestled on the slopes of St.Anton, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. The rustic decor really captures the essence of Alpine charm. The menu offers a fantastic selection of traditional Austrian dishes. I tried the tirolean Grostl, which was perfectly crispy and hearty, accompanied by a refreshing bowl of sauerkraut. My family raved about the goulash, which was hearty and flavorful. The portion sizes were generous, making it a great value for the quality of food. The service was friendly and attentive, although we did experience a slight delay in getting our drinks. However, the staff was very accommodating and made sure we felt welcome throughout our meal. The stunning mountain views from the restaurant are an added bonus, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I can see this place becoming a regular stop during our ski trips! Overall, I’d give this restaurant a solid 4 stars. With a bit of improvement in the drink service, it could easily be a 5-star experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Austrian cuisine in a beautiful mountain setting!
After close to three hours of ski on first day, great terrace where to stop for a quick bite as long as the sun ☀️ is out… 😁 Very kind, smiley and efficient staff 🙌 Quality price ratio is top 🎉
Good hamburger. Service was very friendly and fast. Nice view of the mountains from the terrace.
Your waitstaff is amazing. I had the fortune to have the young woman with brown hair. She was very friendly and quick. First I had the bruscetta with tomato. With a glass of lemon tea. As soon as it was on my table, my mouth started to water like crazy! The fresh garlic, onions and the bright tomatoes with that nice crispy bread. Yess, 10/10. I loved it, A LOT! Then my company joined me, they ordered some normal drinks and the goulash soup. They thoroughly enjoyed it, especially at those prices! I had the kaiserschwarmm with my niece and again the waterworks came. This was the best one I've ever had. We've been coming to Austria for the last 8 or 9 years and nothing compares to this one! It was nicely baked, good chucks of the pancake batter. The applesauce and plumsauce where so soft and melted in my mouth. I also bought some product to take home, can't wait to cook with them. All the staff, thank you!!
We went here several times during our ski holiday and were never disappointed. The location is sublime and the food is awesome. There is a live band from 3 pm onwards putting a different spin on the usual aprés ski style. Definitely recommend this place for coffee, lunch or a couple of drinks!

It was a Tirolean folk dance evening and it was amazing, the lead dancer singer spoke in the two languages other than the German he speaks fluently, it was riveting, and its something that should not be missed.
In summer, 'tylorian evening' is holding here. It's a tilorian dancing and singing show. I like it!

Fantastic little lake to go and visit. The walk up to the lale is equally as good and not too hard to do. Nice sitting area where you can even BBQ and the kids can play.
Cute place, easy to get there from St. Anton (you can choose a bus as well if you don't want to walk). Beautiful color!
It's a picture perfect location with a beautiful lake, streams with mountains in the back drop. The location offers more than just a tourist attraction, walking, hiking mountain biking and much more.....
Verwallsee is located not far from St.Anton. The trail is very accessible to everyone, even parents with a strawler. The trail is pebbly and runs through a very interesting landscape. On the same road there is a track for MTB and Electric motocross. The trail offers activities for everyone for young and old. Once you pass the Wagner Hütte you have a few more minutes to the beautiful emerald green lake. Verwall Lake is a relaxing place where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. Nearby is a 35-meter-long and 20-meter-high suspension bridge over the Rosanna River. If you are here with children there is a few activities for them such as an adrenaline park and a small park for children. From St. Anton to Verwall Lake and back is exactly 19,000 steps or 14 km. And it will take you about 2.30 h. Greetings until next time. P.S. You can't enter with a car but there is a parking place at the entrance of the trail. And if you get tired there is also a BUS going there and back. Enjoy
Would be a very nice reservoir lake but momentarily there is not enough water. The hike to the lake is beautiful
Great lake and sightseeing!
Small water reservoir. Nothing special. The river and the bride over it however are worth a visit.
