An amazing landscape in a wonderful golf of the Corfu Island. We were so impressed by its position as we saw it from atop of a hill while driving. We had to go dowm to inspect this location. The road to the church is seamless but not well indicated. The area at the church is very well maintained and quiet. It's an idylic place.
Beautiful little church but officious man refused access to me because I had my dog with me ( on a lead and well behaved). No signs and because I live here I didn’t want to go in anyway but he was rude in front of my guests. A very upsetting and unnecessary experience. He said it was because of the children ( there weren’t any children) and apparently I should have more respect for the place! Nasty man to be avoided.
Very idyllic setting and easily accessibleby car. There's a small car park in the grounds. Unfortunately, the church only opens at 5pm so we couldn't look inside.
Visited recently and absolutely loved it. The views were stunning, the surroundings peaceful, and it was the perfect place to relax and take in the scenery. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! The only downside is the gates were closed so couldn’t look around, and it’s one way to and from the church.
Very nice and well looking Monastery, definitely worth visiting. Fully accessible by car, the area around is calm and soothing, you can meet swans as well. Also a nice place to sit on the beach or the wall and watch sunset.
Beautiful little church with old wooden art work of the 12 apostles and our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s worth the visit and free of charge. It was practically empty when we visited which added to the experience.
Nice building in gorgeous sitting but nothing else to see or do. All locked up when we went
Lovely church in an incredibly picturesque location on Gouviron Bay, Corfu

Amazingly moving experience every Serb and not only needs to encounter! Bring your children so we can all know our past and honour the hardships and sacrifice of our ancestors. It's free and donation based. The custos is an amazing historian who knows the matter in dept and wrote books on Corfu and Serbian history during WWI.
As a foreigner I was hugely impressed by the bravery and endurance of the Serbians during WW I Era which I've got to know about thanks to the amazing display in the museum. It was also interesting to educate on Corfu's role as the location of such great importance to the Serbia during that time. Overall, the museum offers a wide portion of knowledge packed in a concise form, a great place to stop by while visiting Kerkyra town.
Located in a beautiful street, this contemporary display is well worth a visit to find out about the history of Serbian people in Corfu. Lots to take in. The museum has A/C , free to enter, just give a donation at the end. It was really busy, a popular museum. There's a couple of shops selling Serbian souvenirs. It's a little bustling corner of Serbia on Corfu.
Amazing display and of significant meaning to those of us who had grandparents who were involved. Very knowlegable staff and great souviner shop. A must goto by all Serbs and historians.
Beautiful piece of history in there. Must visit for every Serb and any history lover. The guy working there is a very intelligent and smart guy, knows a lot of things and most importantly he wants to share it with you. Actively engages and starts conversations, he even stayed a bit after closing time to wrap things up for us. Museum is a bit small but it keeps valuable historical information which is not well known globally when people talk about WW1
The Serbian Museum in Corfu is a treasured institution that embodies the deep connection between Serbia and the beautiful Greek island. It stands as a memorial to the Serbian soldiers and civilians who sought refuge in Corfu during World War I, leaving an indelible mark on both countries. Housed in the historic Villa De Vecchi, which served as the residence of Serbian King Aleksandar I during his exile, the museum tells the story of the Serbian Debarkation in 1916. Exhibits showcase photographs, documents, personal belongings, and artifacts, offering visitors a glimpse into the harsh realities of war and the resilience of the Serbian people. This museum serves as a symbol of gratitude from Serbia to the Greek people for their unwavering support and hospitality in providing a safe haven during one of Serbia's darkest moments. It serves as a bridge between the two nations, fostering cultural exchange, understanding, and friendship. For those with Serbian roots, the museum holds immense significance. Visiting this place can be an emotional and deeply personal experience, connecting them to their ancestors and reminding them of the sacrifices made by previous generations. Moreover, the Serbian Museum in Corfu allows visitors from all walks of life to learn about an important part of history that might have otherwise been overlooked. It stands as a testament to the power of remembrance and the importance of honoring those who came before us. Walking through the museum's halls, one can't help but feel a sense of reverence and gratitude. It serves as a constant reminder that despite the turmoil of war, humanity can still triumph, and the bonds between nations can grow stronger in the face of adversity. Opened till 14.00. The Serbian Museum in Corfu encapsulates the shared history and enduring friendship between Serbia and Greece. It stands as a timeless tribute to the resilience, bravery, and spirit of the Serbian people.
A great place to learn about the misfortune of the Serbian army during the Great War. We were welcomed by the museum host who explained the display and gave us a few pointers on what else to see on the island, besides Vido. Serbian soldiers (150,000 of them) along with the national government and refugees were evacuated here in January 1916. Lots of them were buried in the sea around Vido island while the majority regrouped and went back to war on the Thessaloniki front. Visitors are welcomed in various languages. Svi natpisi su i na srpskom. :) Come here before visiting Vido. The museum is close to Old Town and is free to enter.
