Beautiful long sandy beach. Great for a walk. Soft sand, nice breeze. You can swim too if the weather is right. No free parking available, but paid parking is close by. The Greenway passes nearby, so it's ideal if you're cycling. Dungarvan town is just a short drive or cycle away. Clean, calm, and good for a day out.
This long and sandy back is not far from Dungarvan and one sign on the street points towards it. It’s fairly easy to miss, though, as we drove past it at first as well.
Very good beach with plenty of parking and space. Sea is nice and close at high tide and also a natural shallow area for young kids as the tide is going out. Good local shop on the beach with beach toys, pastries, postcards etc and a cafe next door. Good toilets and there is never a need to walk too far too your car.
Nice beach. Few car parks around €5 charge. Clonea beach very clean, sandy beach. Some seaweed. Lots of people. Tide was out. Bins available. Shop at beachfront. Toilets available.
If you are a beach lover, you must visit this beautiful beach
Spotless beach easy parking and handy amenities nearby.
Nice beach. The sand has algae on it most of the time from the tide. When it's hot outside it's nice to go for a swim, but you need to be careful where you step because some parts have rocks at the bottom. There's also quite a few jellyfish around.
Lovely beach, pity about the hotel being closed

A really interesting place to visit if you’re passing through Dungarvan. The castle has been lovingly restored and houses some very informative exhibitions. FREE ENTRY!
It has good parking and plenty of history to enjoy. The castle or fort is in good condition and the display of what it was like for thoes who worked there many years ago is well thought out and helpful. There are great views from the windows and nice walks all around, cheers
The staff member at the Castle (Patrick) was very helpful and made the whole experience better. I would definitely recommend anyone driving through the area to stop by and check it out. Free entry.
I’ve been here twice and both times it’s been closed during “open hours.” It’s Tuesday at 10:25am now, I’m standing in front of the locked doors. I already wasted my trip here, but at least put a sign up, change the website, do something.
I would give it less stars if I had to pay for it BUT that’s unfair. It’s an Irish castle ruin. You’ve probably seen 100 of them. Some Are paid and less impressive or are more Commercial. This is free, being restored, and something to look At while you wait for your dinner reservations. For those expecting more in the mid county surrounded by restaurants galore, relax your expectations. But the small Tower floor room, I hope the host Events or something because it’s Cozy
Interesting place to learn a little bit about the history of Dungarvan, And its free to the public
Very interesting site from the Norman Castle which is under restoration to the barracks and towers. Video very informative at a basic level, of Ireland's historic struggles. Many photos and explanations of the types of 'policing' in force here. Well worth a visit and free. Thank you
Went in here to get out of the rain. Nice if find that it was free! Spent about an hour exploring the property. Highly recommend a visit when in the area.

FREE! Small yet full of history, both ancient (a 2nd century coin) to more modern (information on cycling and photography in the 1800s) to more recent. Definitely worth a visit. The staff are knowledgeable and willing to spend time explaining things, and answering questions.
Well worth a visit. Volunteers inside very helpful.
Me and my friends loved it so much, the people working there are super nice, and really friendly with us! A good view around history, interesting items and references. Really recommend...
A free museum, with various artifacts relating to history of Dungarvan, maritime history, vikings, medieval times. There was a table at the back with some colouring worksheets for the kids which kept them amused for a while, allowing us to explore a bit more.
Really nice looking cal history info here
A most interesting museum Full of information on Waterford Knowledgeable and helpful staff Well worth a visit if in Dungarvan.
This is free. You have to pay for the parking somewhere nearby. It has a lot of interesting things about recent history around Waterford. So many I believe are donated by the families. worth the visit.
It was great to see such a lovely set of photos on the website. In one photo was a glass candlestick exactly same as two ‘unknown’ objects left to me by my mother whose father lived in the Kilmanack West area so a long family mystery solved. Thank you!

Great craic with Shane and Tom, took a while to get used to driving a rally car. Very good atmosphere and facilities. A great gift for anyone that likes to get behind the wheel! Highly recommend!
What a fun experience my husband Jim had! Tom is a great instructor and really helped him improve his driving skills. Would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to get a true rally experience.
Amazing experience, would definitely recommend it if you like driving. A challenging and exciting spin. Lots to learn, very well managed by the lads.
Great day out for my son some wild laps. Lovely people highly recommended. We will be back.
Best unique experience in Ireland! The instructors are fantastic and made me feel very safe, but still pushed me enough to get a huge thrill out of driving. Everything about this whole process was easy and enjoyable. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Tom and the whole team were fun. I highly recommend attending if you have the chance.
Great experience, totally recomendable! 👌 Tom has been a great host and made this event a memorable one!
Had the best time on the intermediate half day course today! Tom was a boss of an instructor, a rad teacher, enthusiastic , encouraging and had me feeling safe and confident around the course and having maximin fun! Can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend to everyone of all levels - you’re in the best hands! You receive feedback throughout and notes at the end to help you progress. Would also recommend for people in the UK- it’s worth the travel and we’ll definitely be traveling back… thanks for such a great day!
Excellent experience here. Tom was an absolute gent to deal with and he is a fantastic teacher. Had such a great time, would 100% recommend to friends and family

Nice if you like old buildings. There is evidence that a church has stood on the site as early as the 1300s. Spent some time exploring the large, old graveyard at the back of the church. An unusually early headstone, for Robert Drepers, dates from 1685. Didn't go inside. Church was closed when we visited.
“You will be blessed when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake. So rejoice! Be exceedingly glad! For great is your reward in heaven! This was how the prophets before you were persecuted, so know you are not alone in this struggle against the adversary.” —Jesus the Christ (Matthew 5:11-12)
Pretty church but unless you are looking to just enjoy a service or actually attend here, it is not really worth the visit. However, if you plan on attending the service I cannot speak to that part as I did not attend a service here.
Beautiful ancient church , beside the sea, attended a wedding. Nice atmosphere
What a beautiful cemetery.
Lovely church with lovely park beside it. Great view of the sea.
Our choir had two concerts here...brilliant acoustics
Beautiful spot, graveyard is lovingly kept by volunteers

A MUST visit Arts space in this lovely harbour town. Due to bad weather and cancelled venues further afield in Waterford, a group of 25 participants needed to stay local and arrived at very short notice to the Market Square Arts Centre for a self guided 'Slow Art' session. We were very warmly welcomed by Joyce into this beautiful Gallery. The space is bright and inviting and this newly launched exhibition is excellent, facilitating an insightful, relaxed 'slowing down', with all attending gaining a much deeper appreciation and understanding of the pieces on display. Storm Kathleen seemed very far away! Most definitely a highlight of our visit to Dungarvan.
Very good venue for exhibiting good art. In particular, fabulous painitings by Ben Hennessey
Great exhibition but no toilet facilities open.
Good for a night out
