Fun locale for viewing the town. Gorgeous on a sunny autumn afternoon 👍🏽
A town full of history. The castle was the best choice to visit, amazing view over the city.
Great place to visit if you want to understand the city better. This fortress was first built way before roman times. You can clearly see the roman ruins and the ruins of the Arabic period, but the first layer of stones is from the Carthaginian period. The folder gives you a lot of explanation, as well as the texts you can find in one of the rooms. Audio is only in Spanish. Booking required for guided visits.
One of the oldest towns in europe. Great side trip from Seville. The parking is reasonable, with no entrance fee for the old walled city. There are several museums and churches to visit. A very laid back yet intersting place.
Wonderful architecture, a vast palace with several big gardens full of history. Be aware that, because of COVID19, you can only buy tickets online with credit card (code generator machine needed), so if you are coming from an outside country buy the tickets in advance.
On part of the old fortress walls in Carmona. Still majestic though only a small part of it remains. A great place to take photos or climb to the top to see the surrounding area.
Hours of history to explore. You can even use your phone for the audio guide. You can purchase tickets online to skip the line to buy them in person.
If you don't go up this place, you can't say you've seen this city. This is the most beautiful view point. If I should choose between a famous restaurant and this place in Carmosa, I choose this puerta.

This is the most amazing Roman necropolis and really worth a visit. Apparently the mother of Brutus who stabbed Julius Caesar is buried here. Maybe.
I loved the visit. You can ask for an introduction video of 20 minutes in your native language (at least English and French). The site shows pictures and explanation that throw you back in time.
it is really historical and nice town in Sevilla.. From Sevilla center you can go by bus or by car and it is around 20-30 minutes … It is good alternative to have a nice day and eat good food 😅 We ate in Plaza de Abastos and at Bar Goya … All of them was very nice but also i loved all the food at Bar Goya … Should mention quite expensive but good for some weekendvibes😇 I have put photo of our salad🤤 It is a small town but nice town for walk so it is better if you go when the weather is not so hot… During summer time it would be better to visit morning time or during late afternooon Or you can do what we did ; we ate all early afternnoon and waited for weather to be little cooler then we walked around😂😂 We were too full but also we 🔥 some calories for sure😊 Aaa i forget to mention that we had coffe too😌 In Carmona there is very beautiful Parador 🏨 and they have very nice view of surrounding area .. We only had coffe there and it was expensive again but could be nice experience to have rest over there… Otel has also some nice pool 🏊‍♀️ For you i have put some photos from there as well If you enjoy the day like i do let me know vale😇
Free to visit this is a very interesting place especially if you want to know more about Roman burials. Views of the surrounding countryside are also good. Certainly worth a visit.
Roman Necropolis on top of a hill overlooking surrounding area. It’s an beautiful area. Museum is very small. The necropolis contains the famous elephant tomb where a rich aristocrat’s family was thought to have been buried.
Necropolis, small museum, nice park. No access to underground tombs. Free entry.
A great archeological site with an interesting museum and one of the most unique necropolis I've seen in any roman town across Europe. A must see when visiting Carmona!
The staff is really kind and welcoming, the Necropolis is well preserved and very interesting.

Beautiful town.. Incredibly rich history. We had a fantastic guide, Antonio, who works from the Paradores Carmona.
This door is located on the Via Augusta and was protecting the city from the east. It looks like it has to be heavily restored. When crossing it, you will have a nice view on the Campina.
Under major repair to the outer wall.
Puerta de Cordoba is one of fine places in Carmona. It is located at the entry of the town, so we could set it as a goal for our bicycle trip. Finally, The yellow color of Cordoda welcomes me and there are nothing to distract your sight.
Lovely small "village" with lots of ancient buildings , not too touristy.
An easy bus ride from Seville that drops you off in the main square, from here you can walk uphill to the first ancient gate and on through the town until you get to this Roman gate where the main Roman road enters Carmona, before the Romans it was a Carthaginian city.
Living history and archeology. A must on your to do list.
Well preserved Roman gates for entry to Carmona. Pity that everything looks neglected due to coronavirus.

I loved the church, that mixes baroque and gothic styles with the ancient mosque’s patio and pillars. You can find a wisigoth calendar on one of them and paintings in the small museum upstairs with other religious art pieces.
Spectacular church whose exterior does not do it much justice regarding its interior. Full of history, you are supplied with all the information before entering.
Everything is so delicate! Every little chapel has its own charm. A must it to come during the day when the sun is hitting the colorful windows the lights give an amazing rainbow effect which makes the experience even more magical
Newly restored. Just a stunning small church in the centre of Seville. Pop in here in the way to El Rinconcillo
Wonderful colours of the sun light reflecting the windows.
As the sunshine comes through the colorful windows is just...Wow!

Very helpful and insightful.
Nice people, a little tricky if your Spanish is as poor as mine is. There are maps of Carmona in English - best to look up what you want to see before you go, is my advice.
Extremely helpful staff. Both ladies we spoke to spoke English. They even helped us to book a taxi back to the airport, as we were having difficulties communicating with a taxi company.
An essential point to start your visit to Carmona, with very friendly staff that know the ins and outs of interesting places to visit, including the various churches, hikes etc. You can buy tickets of the Porte del Sevillia, a beautiful castle with foundations originating from 10 centuries BC. Magnificent views on the city when visting the walls.
Great help despite language barrier

Really enjoyed this small museum. Set in a beautiful old palace. Lots of ancient artifacts and info about Carmona also in English. The temporary art exhibition on the top floor by women artists was fascinating
Amazing to learn that this little town has been occupied for thousands of years the by the Carthaginians the Romans the Moors and then the Spanish. Interesting artifacts and good gallery of paintings.
Fascinating museum full of Roman relics, mosaics, Palaeolithic rocks, paintings etc explaining the history of Carmona. Not always coherent but interesting & some of the information boards have been modernised whilst others haven’t. I quite liked the rustic ness of it! Beautiful courtyards. We left feeling like we had gained useful knowledge. All for only €2.50!
I enjoyed the parts about Tartessos and roman times. QR codes help you have more information in your native language or English. The palace it’s located in is nice.
This is an incredible little museum! I had no idea the history of the town was so long. Well worth the hour or so to tour through.
You are given an English pamphlet about the tour of the museum. It has several rooms containing artifacts from different ages. If you use the QR codes at the door they tell you more about the exhibited pieces and the era. It is a lovely building with some interesting history and a nice restaurant/bar.
Charming museum in a beautiful house. You will learn about the history of Carmona and see some interesting artefacts.
Stunning old architecture. Beautiful wee town. Square is amazing and quiet. Relaxed atmosphere and it's even better at night. Food and drink cheap. Love the place and will be going back one day

(Translated by Google) The Carmona-Seville Line that the City Council has contracted with the Casals company is a scam. This City Council, its mayor and its councilors literally laugh in the faces of the people of Carmona. Going to work at 8:00 in the morning in Seville is a literally impossible odyssey, because taking the bus at 6:45 or 7:00 (direct) takes more than an hour to go on the highway from the Carmona stop to the San Bernardo stop (Seville) and you are always arriving late. The only option that Casals and the City Council gives you is to take a bus at 6:00 in the morning, which means you have to get up at least at 4:45 or 4:30 in the morning. The reason? Countless stops in urbanizations, where at most one or two people are picked up. All screwed by two people. Perhaps the worst thing is not that, but that after getting up early, you find yourself with a queue of 70-80 people to take a measly 50-seater bus. People who have to wait for the next bus. Casals literally sucks your energy. The politicians of this City Council don't care if you leave your life and health on a crappy bus. If you work or study in Seville, buy a car or rent an apartment in Seville and flee Carmona. This Town Hall only functions as a farmhouse for a few privileged people.
