Beautiful castle experience. So kind people working there, my favorite part was Emelie and Betsy Weselman’s room. Has nice cafe in the middle, so I enjoyed to stop to get warm with tea and applie pie. It was so cozy place and nice atmosphere. Later on I wanted to buy postcard to send my friend, and here the lady said postcard is free also stamps are free, you choose your postcard write address and your message then they put stamp and send it instead of you. I’m surprised and felt nice. I’m grateful the one who had this idea and the ones who accepted. Been in many places, and castles, it was first time I experienced this. They also decorated castle for Christmas as well, which is touched another charm. If you visit with museum card, after castle there is modern art Place u can visit too, it’s 4 min walk after castle and also included with your ticket. Thank you all the employees who made my day so nice with their warmth and kindness.
It really is a wonderful place. If you're ever passing by, definitely stop by and take a tour. The first entrance for the children was wonderfully organised. Educational and instructive for children and informative and historical atmosphere great for adults. If you are going to visit I recommend it. There is a small restaurant inside where you can get coffee and snacks. 😎
The exterior view of the castle is amazing. I really loed it. The castle is a good and modern museum. But unlike its counterparts, it has les antiqueties or fantastique rooms to see.
Beautiful castle inside water. Kept very well. Castle has displays for various points in time from castle castle to fancy house to city hall and then also textile company office in part of it before museum. Particularly like the room showing the life of the last family who lived in the castle before it was sold to the city hall.
Great little castle, the people dressed in period clothing made all the difference, I also loved the opportunity to wear armour. No regrets.
Just fantastic music, good company. Delicious food, good prices on drinks and free entree. 😍😎 Had a fantastic time and am sure to go again 🥳🥳
One of the greatest castles to visit in the Netherlands! Especially with kids Great exhibition that you can touch and interact with for the most part. Which is way better than just staring at it! In the beginning of the tour you can put on some parts of a Knight's armor to feel how heavy it is. Great games for kids and some nice interactive elements. We also saw a story time room, but didn't experience it. The history and story of the castle is good. Missed some English translation in parts of it.
Great experience for all ages, especially for kids! Really recommend this. Kids can explore the castle life through dress up, games, and interactive displays. Love the friendly staffs as well.

If you happen to be in Helmond, then a visit to the Helmond Museum should be high on your list of places to visit. The Halmond Museum consists of two locations, one from the other is located at a distance of about 200 m. There are three permanent exhibitions "People the city ", "History of the city" and Contemporary art. We managed to visit, in addition to these, a uniform exhibition and a photo exhibition "Behind Grandma's Kitchen Door". If you go by car, it's best to leave it in the free parking lot near the Helmond Peel Library, and the bike parking is right next to the art gallery. The 700-year-old castle with a rich history has cafes, and visitors are given electronic devices that act as a guide. Of the languages, not only Dutch, but also English is available. The ticket price is 12 euros for adults and 6 euros for children. Admission is free with a museum card. Tip - check at the checkout, some categories of people have discounts. Very friendly and welcoming museum staff. Especially to children. The exhibition of Alexander Webb will be especially interesting for those who are fond of street photography. There are some games and stands for children, so they were also interested. Nearby on the embankment there are fountains and a large number of different cafes for every taste День посещения Выходной Время ожидания Ждать не пришлось Рекомендуется бронировать
I had a wonderful time enjoying the museum. Museum staff is kind and friendly & the current exhibition "Close Enough" is interesting and profunding, that explored social issues through photography from lens of 13 talented female photographers.
Friendly staffs, and there's some free prints u can take A good extra visit after visiting the castle, probably not for kids though, although there are a few activities for kids in the permanent exhibition place
I saw nice contemporary art from other people’s review. But when I went today only the ground floor is open for “people’s life”. Other layers are closed for a later exhibition. At the only open exhibition, Not much explanation or information supplied.
Nice museum and castle. Interesting exhibition and lots of history.
Wow! Amazing experience and people are so nice, the castle provides a journey through history. Especially for Dutch kids it’ll be interesting because they’ve a lot of games. The art museum was my favorite part. I liked the concept of going in circle with storytelling
there was a photography show from Steve McCurry. Great
Until end of September 2023; a fantastic exhibition of the graet work of Alex Webb. Not to be missed!

What an amazingly nostalgic experience! Friendly staff, and a great collection of computer history memorabilia. It is amazing how much still works. The best part is that you are free to interact with these old relics to test how much you still remember from your youth if you were into computers.
Really amazing place to visit! My 12 year old now wants to start collecting vintage Macintosh computers! Far too much to try out just in one day.
Had a lot of fun visiting the museum. Not only is the collection of devices really impressive but you can also play around with pretty much everything that works. This place also offers repairs for old computers, consoles and monitors which is very rare.
Super fun museum with very friendly and knowledgable staff! A must visit for all tech fans both new and older tech is there, I highly recommend going with all generations of your family as everyone can find something interesting!! It also has a small arcade where you can play some games on iconic consoles. Overall a very fun daytrip - reserve at least 4-5 hours for it and have some food in advance!
If you want to learn more about everything from the very first home computer until recent times, the software, and even in some cases the furniture of those times, this place is an absolute must visit. There is in depth information about everything on display. A lot of computers are still operational and I am sure you will discover some gems you did not know about. I certainly did.
Magnificent. I had a blast! Enjoyed every second of it. I learned about this museum a while back (a few years ago) by reading about it on Tweakers, and since then wanted to visit it sometime. I bought the tickets at the museum itself (not online). The tickets were 10,24 euro (hehehe, 1024), decent if you ask me. After the welcome, they tell you that you are allowed to touch and play with the devices - it doesn't get more immersive than that. Before you start going through the computers, there is a separate area for game consoles. You can actually play on a few generation of home consoles (2nd - 8th generation), which just instantly transfers you back to your childhood! And this is just the beginning. :D. Once playing on the game consoles and reminiscing the past, you can start with the home computers. You walk in... and there is just so much that you have no idea where to look at. :D. The route starts with the earliest computers and home console. Interesting to look at for sure. You go through the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. You'll see the most known devices of their times, the Ataris, Commoddores, IBMs, ZXs, Apples, lots of Philips', Acorns, Armstrads... And many many many more. What makes this fun is the fact that many devices are working, so you can just sit on the chair behind them and start using them! You can stay as long as you want. There is so much to talk about, but I am keeping it short. It's an amazing place to visit, I fully enjoyed it. I will come back later again with a bigger group of people - there is something for everyone here. Can definitely recommend it, especially if you're in the 'neighbourhood'.
I took my 14-year-old son to this museum, he’s very much into computing and he was very impressed by the trip. Unlike most museums this is very interactive and visitors are encouraged to use and play with the exhibits. There is so much to see and it is almost like the museum is a living repair shop. When we went on a weekday there was hardly anyone else there. The staff are clearly passionate about what they do. It’s an Aladdin’s cave of computing, mobile phones and gamming. Well worth a visit.
This museum was the highlight of my recent trip to The Netherlands back in April 2023 and I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Absolutely an amazing place to visit if you are into vintage computers or rare computers/video games in general. The staff is super helpful, and it's a good spot to spend time at if you have a flight in Eindhoven and don't want to wait at the terminal.
