The Tulip Festival is so amazing, Hard to comprehend that different species have its name. The combination of tulips & Geneva lake just brings oneself in awe. Nature has a way of tempering our being into submission to the Creator. The free garden is just an appreciation for nature.
Always beautiful but best during the tulip featival. During the festival however, the weekends are full of people. Come during the week. Best time is around 5-6 pm or 7 am. This is when the light is best
Beautiful park limited by the little river Morges, the lake and the castle. At this time of the year, from mid April till mid May you can visit the tulip festival grouped around the monument erected to celebrate the independence of the canton of Vaud. When weather is nice, people flock to the lawns after work to picnic.
Nestled along Lake Geneva with stunning views of the Alps and Mont Blanc, the setting is pure magic. I spent hours strolling the accessible paths, snapping photos, and soaking in the serene atmosphere. The park itself is a gem, with ancient chestnut trees and shady spots ideal for picnics. What sets this festival apart is the thoughtful planning, early, mid, and late-blooming tulips ensure there’s always something in peak bloom, no matter when you visit. The 2025 theme, “water,” added a unique touch with displays that seemed to flow like a river of flowers. Weekend events, like the treasure hunt and live music at the Kiosque à Musique, kept things lively, and my kids loved the family-friendly activities. Food stalls offered tasty local treats, but I also enjoyed grabbing a coffee in Morges’ charming old town, just a short walk away. It’s easy to get to by train (10 minutes from Morges station) or car, with parking nearby. Whether you’re a flower enthusiast, a photographer, or just looking for a relaxing day out, this festival is a must. I’m already planning my return for next year’s bloom, don’t miss it, it’s Switzerland’s best-kept spring secret!
Visited Parc de l'Indépendance (The Independence Park) for the Morges Tulip Festival in mid-April 2023 as a day trip from Geneva. There was an overcast and light rain during my visit. There were many interesting displays of tulips, daffodils and other varieties at the 2023 Morges Tulip Festival. I visited early in the season and some flowers were not in bloom. Parc de l'Indépendance is a well-maintained park near Lake Geneva. Wandering paths within the park connect to the lakeside trail/promenade. It is a great place to stroll through during a day trip to Morges. The park is about 10 minutes by foot from the Morges train station.
This is a magnificent collection of tulips, and the park is a very pleasant place to be
If you can’t make it to Keukenhof in the Netherlands, this park is your consolation prize 😀. It is free and every spring they put a great effort showcasing various tulips. Try to come on a weekday and check their online webcam to see whether the flowers are in full bloom. Tulips have max 10 prime days a year. I wish you lots of luck. It is currently in full bloom. Don’t wait any longer.
Thee place to be in on Spring! The Tulips Festival is just great, Lovely flowers, Lake view, few activities, castle near by and many more... don't miss it!

Are you interested in the local military or police history? Then this is the museum for you. You can learn everything about the wars fought against the French, both in real and through miniatures. You can also go back to the 1950-ies and 60-ies and see how the cantonal police were chasing crooks on their Royal Enfield or Harley Davidson motorcycles. Besides the permanent exhibitions there is at present, end of November 2024, two expositions, one on the famous Polish pianist Paderewski and the other one how to defend ourselves against all sorts of violent attacks, from environmental to war. This part was to us the most educational section of the museum.
Today, Morges Castle is a military museum and houses a variety of collections, including rare weapons and armor, old banners and flags, paintings, official documents, and more. Although I'm not personally a fan of military history, I can recommend this museum, as it can be interesting for all kinds of visitors thanks to the wide range of military aspects it covers. Admission is free on the first Sunday of the month :)
I cannot say enough on how wonderful these exhibits were. From the heartfelt life history of Paderewski through an entire history of war...and the world...in carefully cared for and cured exhibits. My son, (10) and myself (58) were enthralled by different aspects but with the same intensity. Thank you city of Morges for this beautiful lessons!
Beautiful old castle with interesting history. As the name implies, though, it really is more of a museum than a showcase of the building itself. Almost every room is dedicated to an aspect of military history dating back hundreds of years to WWII.
Paderewski room in between and the museum of arms. I did care about Paderewski, polish patriot but not much about the arms. But I was pleasantly surprised, mostly by the architecteure of the chateau.
Interesting collection of historical heavy weapons, from cannons to turret guns, and attendant ammunition. Very interesting at Christmas when the market spills into the museum and the vendors incorporate the cannons into their booths. Great views of Lake Geneva and adjacent to the gardens where the tulip festival is held every year.
Cool history/war museum, converted into an indoor Christmas market for the Christmas season, free admission, really cool crafts and many homemade things

The final resting place of Audrey Hepburn. Very close walking distance to the Bust of Audrey Hepburn. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
I was surprised that the burial place of Audrey Hepburn - someone so famous, so glamorous when she was alive - would be so unassuming. But maybe that's the point. Maybe that's the beauty of it. When the spotlights are turned down and the applause has faded away, she's cradled by peace and simplicity.
Very difficult to find this place. But it is Audrey Hepbon's tomb.
Nice, small place on the top of a hill! Once you should go there!
Beautiful simple cemetery and Ms Hepburn’s grave.

Sheer beauty. The whole walk from Lausanne to Morge is just amazing. You literally walk along side the beautiful lake of Geneve with stunning views with each step you take. Your scenery with consist of a beautiful blue lake , snow capped mountains in the background and sounds of nature. A perfect destination to relax the soul. It is not a strenuous walk as it is mostly flat but it is about 17 km from Lausanne station to Morge where you can end your walk on a lovely pier and have a view of Mount Blanc if the sky is clear. There are so many little spots where you can dip your feet into the lake to cool off.
Stunning beach with easy walk of the car park which is very reasonably priced and has ample spaces. Water quality seems good and a sandy/stoney beach makes for an acceptable day out. Hotel/restaurant nearby for some food or the beach shack in the car park serves some food and drinks.
The largest sandy beach in the Lausanne area. There is limited parking so it makes sense to go by bike if you can. The water is fairly shallow by the shore. A promenade runs along the full length of the beach and there is a restaurant, toilets and a small buvette that does drinks and snacks and paninis.
It's a nice beach but there are no trash cans, for a public place where a parking spot is charged, the minimum will be to have some spot to sort the garbage.
Wonderful sandy beach with all facilities you need. There are Restaurants with take away, Toilettes and a surf Shop for SUP rental etc. There are also barbecues provided, but need to bring your own coal or wood. Shadows are a bit tricky as there are not that many trees. Can be crowded on weekends
What a discovery!!! I'm in love. Dogs where unleashed in winter so they could play and socialise, which doesn't happen much in Switzerland. Loved the place!
This beach was a really great surprise to us being in Switzerland. Good space in the sand, with tree shades and super clear water! Family environment, really great place to spend the day! Parking near by was also good and possible to pay with easy parking
Can't believe we went to a Swiss beach, a great combination for water lovers and mountain enthusiasts. Beautiful!

Very nice, we saw the Lego expedition and the kids loved it so much they wanted to come back the day after, so we basically spent the entire weekend here.
We went for a Lego exhibition & it was fantastic. Really amazing to see even if you are not a Lego fan. Worth it! I only remove a star because we could not find any lockers or place to hang our coats. It’s hard not to touch the Lego when you are carrying your own and your kids coats. It’s also great that there were food trucks outside. Parking is limited in the basement and by the entrance.
Beautiful place, very easy parking access, friendly atmosphere.
Well organized, nice place!
Great theatre with an excellent programme. The interval spaces are a bit outdated and drinks are expensive. Not the easiest place to get to by public transport.
Small cute great place for a small exhibition! 😀 In this case mineral exhibition! 😀 Highly recommended... 5 min from the train station! 😀

Wonderful all you can eat Sunday brunch. There is plenty of to quality local products. I especially loved the cheese they had. There is also a shop, if you wanna buy some.of their products. All around there are animals you can watch it or even cuddle. It's a wonderful area, and you can take a walk or ride your bike around. The farm is a few minutes out of the train station.
Delicious and fresh Sunday brunch, especially the bread. There are also a lot of animals for visitors to see and a cat that roams around the farm. Although the brunch is quite expensive, it is a wonderful place for families to visit and eat brunch at.
Saturday breakfast (around 20 / 25chf) and sunday brunch (42chf)

Beautiful visit at the museum today. I love this new edition of this exhibition in honor of Audrey Hepburn and Givenchy. Love the dresses of course but also the sketches of the famous designer. Can't wait to come back next year!
I was there to see Hubert Givenchy's sketches and dresses. The exhibit itself was great but the ingress and egress was difficult. The salle where the short film is tiny, not well ventilated, people overstayed and it was not easy to go in and out. There were not enough seats for the mostly elderly guests. I guess it is just because it is the last day of the exhibit?
Ideal for people who love Audry Hepburn
Genuine Givenchy dresses and new facts about Audrey Hepburn, touching movies about local Swiss people who witnessed and helped her to escape paparazzi
Great place for expos

Cosy Lounge bar located on Grand Rue in Morges. Well stocked bar with all kinds of liquor available. 5-6 types of Beer in Tap was available. Friendly staff
Nice stop at the Alambic-Lounge Bar for a cappuccino and an orange juice. Very cosy atmosphere in the heart of Morges!
Highly disappointed in this place. My husband and I only resorted to coming here on a Sunday because there was nothing else open, we were hoping for a nice lunch but we ordered the large planchette which was 38 CHF which is just ridiculous considering what they put on there. I expect a nice steak and potatoes or a nice entree for that price not a couple cheeses, bread, jar of pickles, and some processed meat. The large planchette should be the price of the small one. This bar is not a place to go to for food idk how the drinks are since I never tried any but the ambience and staff seem friendly.
Waited for 10 minutes after the server said she would come out. Only us and a few people there. Had to eventually go inside to ask to order, found the server sitting on her phone. Then got our order wrong, and had to ask for a replacement. Expensive and slow.
Nice Location I only had a softdrink so I can not say anything about the drinks
Great atmosphere and service, great selection of drinks and the tapas are excellent.

Good rink. Not too busy on weekdays.
This is a great place for people/kids who are actually going to train but for the visitors/guests it's very poor. Meaning there is only one waiting room which is not so warm anyway (not very suitable for babies), plus just two machines to buy drinks and the one for coffee is really bad. I think they should invest in a real cafe to also attract more audience.
Cool ice skating ring with good prices. There is a nice bar too for quick refreshments. However the opening times of the structure are very limited - much more people could come in the evening.
Very nice arena. We have been here for public skating on many occasions. Nice snack bar/pub where you can relax and watch the events from the warmth.
Great publicly open rink during winter season. Close to Morges centre and Gare! Closed to public during summer.
Very Friendly people. It is worth it to support this local enterprise
Forward Morges ! The local ice hockey stadium. It's very nice to sit in the bar and watch the games.

Everything needed for lovers of water sports! From stand up paddles, to canoes and pirogues, to pedalos. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Courses are organised on request at all levels. The view on the lake is incredible!

(Translated by Google) Very nice team. Always welcoming and available. The place is ideally located for paddle boarding. And when you do it from time to time, there's nothing better than renting good quality equipment. (Original) Equipe très sympa. Toujours accueillant et disponible. Le lieu est idéalement situé pour faire du paddle. Et quand on en fait de temps en temps, rien de mieux que de louer du matériel de bonne qualité.
(Translated by Google) Great place to rent paddles, boats, pedal boats. Top quality material and very good quality. They pamper their equipment and take care of it. It's important. This shows professionalism and respect. I also took boating lessons and was able to pass my license without any problem thanks to the Passion Nautique team. The courses are really excellent and the teachers are top notch. Super friendly team that listens to customers. Parking next door really very convenient. Very fair prices. We go there very often. I highly recommend this place.
(Translated by Google) I didn't really like the welcome: cold, no flexibility regarding the rental conditions even if we had a person who was not very fit but who really wanted to go paddle boarding. Long wait until the equipment is ready, no buoys to indicate the 300m offshore and more expensive price compared to other rental stands. Personally I prefer Préveranges and Epesses.
