Absolutely, one of the best water falls in brasil. It seems expensive for guide and quality are not sufficient but for our case guide Silvio did excellent job.
It’s the most famous waterfall in Chapada. It’s crowded accordingly. You’ll have to buy the entrance fee, hire a guide and pay transportation. Are there cheaper options? Yes. Was it still worth it? Every Real. Joaquim, our guide, was extremely lovely and knowledgeable and pointed out plants and animals during the short hike to the waterfall.
The waterfall is stunning, but pricey. Ensure thorough preparation for weather, prices, and transportation before your visit. Upon arriving (2 people) after a 2-hour drive, without a guide. Fortunately, we could hire one at the CAT for 200 reals. You get a guide with a group of maxi56 people, so it is better to go with a group. The entrance fee is 55 reals per person, and the one-way transfer costs 10 reals per person (totaling 40 reals). The overall cost for experiencing the waterfall would be 350 reals. But the waterfall is beautiful :)
If you’re in the Cavalcanti district, this is definitely a must-visit spot. Don’t miss it!
I totally support the Kalunga community but the price exploitation of tourists is over the top.
A must go place! Remember to bring your swimm glasses to appreciate how transparent the water is.
Beautiful place! Astonishing!

(Translated by Google) I was pleasantly surprised by every corner of this place. I felt blessed and gifted with so much peace, connection and beauty. Bathing in these waters is such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it! The trail is super easy. For those who have little time to enjoy and don't want to walk for hours, it's an excellent option, as the attractions are very close to each other. It's worth every second. And, in addition to the incredible waterfalls, the trail has pools for bathing and several beautiful spots. I highly recommend it! (Original) Me surpreendi positivamente com cada cantinho desse lugar. Me senti abençoada e presenteada com tamanha paz, conexão e beleza. Tomar banho nessas águas é uma experiência tão gostosa. Recomendo muito! A trilha é super tranquila. Recomendo super!
(Translated by Google) A magical place, paradise. One of the most beautiful places in the entire Chapada. About 2 hours on a dirt road (in average conditions) from Cavalcante - in the dry season it was easy in a car, I don't know about in the rainy season. It is essential to hire a guide at the CAT in Cavalcante. The complex has 7 waterfalls, you can choose to visit only the first 4 or the last 3, or all of them, each section for 20 reais. The 14 km trail is of intermediate level. There is the option of sleeping in the complex, there is a camping area and a hostel.

It is worth visiting both in the rainy season and in the dry season! The trail is long and intermediate level, 14 km in total (round trip) but it is worth it, go prepared with water and food and try to arrive as early as possible at the Complex because there are many tours in the area. It is a good idea to spend the night at the campsite if you want to enjoy Rei do Prata for longer, this campsite is located on the property where it is located. There is a payment at the entrance and another to get to Rei do Prata, because they are two different properties. The cost of the tour is 90.00 reais, but it is mandatory to hire a guide!

Quick stop worth seeing
(Translated by Google) A very short trail that goes down to a breathtaking viewpoint of the Ave Maria waterfall. The Kalunga guide from Santa Bárbara said that slave owners would pass by there with escaped slaves and would throw one off the cliff to serve as an example, scaring the others so that they wouldn't try to escape again, and that's how it got its name. The view is incredible and gives you a strong adrenaline rush when you're close to the edge of the cliff. Be very careful not to fall! Respect the markings on the rock. There are no facilities or entrances. The place is free. It's best to go in daylight. Local gratuito. Melhor ir com a luz do dia.

very nice relaxing place, all green around this Pousada, birds singing, small water fall close-by, friendly staff, tasty typical food, good/clean cabins, for individual travelling - great experience :-)
Been here a couple of times. Peaceful place. Nice food. Short hiking to river. Once there, indulge yourself with the sound and the touching of the stream. Taste each sensation!

Beautiful and amazing point of view of the valley.
(Translated by Google) An interesting stop on the way to other attractions in the region. It's worth checking the sunrise time in the area before you go, as it's far from Cavalcante and, in this case, includes a few minutes of tolerance due to the mountain range ahead. I believe it could be better if it had a support structure with water and a bathroom, perhaps maintained by someone who commercially exploited the area. It is advisable to hire a guide, as it is not easy to find/get to the place. The guide can be hired at the CAT (Tourist Service Center) in the center of Cavalcante. The road takes you very close to the waterfall, where there is a space to park your car, and then you take a short trail (about 500 meters) and cross the river on a bridge (like a "swing that doesn't fall over"). In addition to the beauty of the waterfall, there you will literally have SHADE and FRESH WATER. Near the beach there is a small hut for support (with benches), and the only bathroom is improvised (popularly known as a toilet, or "little house"). The caretaker, Mr. Natalino, despite his humbleness (typical of the natives of the region) is very welcoming and good at conversation. At his house, he offers a late lunch for R$30.00 per person, very home-cooked, simple food, cooked on a wood stove. (You have to order in advance, because he only makes lunch if you have a request). The cost of day-use is R$20.00 and if you are staying overnight (camping) the cost is R$50.00 (camping). + attractive) Avoid going on holidays as it tends to get VERY crowded.

I went in a 4x2 Toro Flex. The stretch to the village of São Domingos The road, once you get to the waterfall parking lot, is very dangerous, especially after the bridge. There is also a stretch that was quite slippery (lots of gravel and loose rocks), but we got through after two attempts. Don't use Waze or Google Maps... they give the wrong route. After the village of São Domingos, just follow the blue signs. You can even risk going in a low-lying car, but be aware and prepared for emergency situations, changing a tire, etc. It's really good to spend a couple of days there getting to know the waterfalls and wells around the São Félix River. This report was from a visit made in June 2021.

It took us about an hour and a half with our guide, Rosilene, whom we met at the CAT (Court of Transport). It's a place where you need a guide to enter. She gave us tips on the potholes and the most difficult parts, and everything went well. We went and came back safely. Of course, there were some more stressful stretches, but nothing that would make it impossible or damage the car, as I've read in other reports.

Don't go in a low-slung car, if you're not a good driver, don't even risk it. Go in a 4x4. A little after the village of São Domingos, forget about Waze and maps and follow the blue signs to the waterfall. 300-meter trail, countless pools. Perfect for camping, with a covered area, space for a campfire and a dry toilet. Clear and shallow waters. Perfect for families. Beach in Chapada! (Original) Lugar incrível. Natureza preservada, espaço pra camping e refeições agendadas. Chegando lá reservamos almoço e jantar. Comida caseira maravilhosa. Dica...
(Translated by Google) The waterfall is beautiful, with a great beach for children and for those (like me) who can't swim. But halfway there I started to wonder if it was worth the effort to get there. The 70 km of dirt road has some very difficult stretches. The advice is to use a larger car or hire a transport service to get there. Otherwise, just enjoy!
